15:25 going to kill us there's a handful of 15:27 tropes one of them is it's just Ste in 15:29 from 15:31 artists 15:33 um am I arguing that it wasn't 15:37 trained on questionable data that 15:40 probably includes data from artists and 15:43 writers no it absolutely was there's 15:47 absolutely ugliness there 15:53 however did you know this is a little 15:56 known 15:57 fact in every 16:00 library in the 16:03 world are the works of 16:07 artists that other people can use for 16:16 free there there's there's 16:19 poetry there there's 16:22 textbooks there's 16:26 songs there's there's art 16:29 it's all in there and you can go into 16:32 that library and you can go in there 16:34 every day and you can jam that [ __ ] in 16:35 your 16:36 brain and then you can use what's in 16:38 your brain come up with new 16:43 ideas that is 16:46 exactly what what all these models are 16:49 doing and in fact they're doing it in in 16:52 a not dissimilar way to how our brain 16:54 does it so there's absolutely a very 16:57 real argument for you know for the good 16:59 of 17:00 humanity um there are still some you 17:04 know issues to be solved with copyright 17:07 and attribution and compensation and 17:09 things like that 17:12 but if you sit on the sidelines judging 17:15 AI like oh it's just stealing from 17:17 artists I would never use that well 17:20 you're going to get your ass handed to 17:22 you CU you're not going to know how to 17:23 use these tools that are going to 17:25 transform 17:27 everything you'll feel better about 17:32 yourself so what I try not to do on this 17:36 channel is get into those debates is it 17:38 good or is it bad it's 17:42 Irrelevant in the end it's irrelevant 17:45 the technolog is not going 17:48 away it's not going to stop getting 17:51 better and it's [ __ ] inspiring as 17:54 [ __ ] when you use 17:57 it we happen to live at a time 17:59 when we're watching the birth of the 18:01 most powerful human amplification 18:05 Thing Called a large language 23:35 model that is the most profoundly 23:39 powerful um knowledge 23:44 democratization in the history of 23:46 humanity and teachers are like well why 23:48 would I you 28:08 might teach differently if you had chat 28:09 GPT or 28:12 Claude and maybe one of the kids has 28:15 used Claud enough to know that it can 28:17 code and the kid says why don't you make 28:20 me an interactive lesson plan dashboard 28:24 out of this plan that the teacher just 28:25 gave us the kid uploads it there 28:29 and 30 seconds later after watching a 28:31 bunch of code get written there's a 28:33 dashboard with dials and knobs and 28:36 switches and displays and the kid's like 28:39 uh Mrs Johnson yeah Jimmy could this 28:44 what you mean could could was this would 28:47 this be good and Mrs Johnson walks over 28:50 and looks at the screen and goes oh my 28:52 God jimy how did did you just make 28:56 that and Mrs Johnson has a [ __ ] Kevin 28:59 mallister moment showed how 41:29 we are just a little page in the history 41:32 of the universe oh yeah yeah yeah so 41:36 yeah 41:39 exactly yeah you 41:42 know the AI is really good at if if you 41:45 want 41:46 to
