41. 10:33um I kind of look at it like this with this AI stuff the the Oprah special last night was really interesting it it did a
42. 10:43couple of things for me it reinforced for me that we're way earlier than I think a lot of us think we are and that
43. 10:50you know there's a fair amount of people right now talking about ai's overhyped um we've passed the point of
44. 10:58no return these models have plateaued they're never going to get better um and if you've been on the planet for
45. 11:08more than a year you know that that's not true this shit's just going to keep getting better and better and better
46. 11:15right and there's there's lots of issues right there's safety issues and ethics issues and bias issues and Technology
47. 11:23issues and compensation issues and attribution issues and copyright issues and trademark issues and then there's remarkable technology
48. 11:34that would not exist let's be crystal clear about this this technology would not exist had these Frontier Model companies
49. 11:44not done a little nefarious web scraping so for the people who are arguing these things were trained on data that they shouldn't have been I
50. 12:00agree and if they had asked permission permission from one copyright holder the answer would have been no and
51. 12:12if they had asked permission from a 100 100 copyright holders the answer would have been no if they asked permission
52. 12:18from a million copyright holders the answer would have been no so we would not have the tools we have but we
53. 12:32do and because of chat GPT and because chat GPT got to 100 million users in 6 weeks if you didn't know that that's a
54. 12:41little stunning remarkableness fastest adoption of software in history 100 million users in 6 weeks to put that
55. 12:50in perspective the worldwide web took six years to get to 100 million users now the worldwide web the
56. 12:59infrastructure wasn't there to just turn [ __ ] on like it like it was for for AI but still six years versus six
57. 13:07weeks so this stuff's not going away and the tools as they are today are the worst they're ever going to
58. 13:15be and so what this channel is about what we do here what we do on Friday night date nights and what we do five nights a [Music]
59. 13:23week is we just kind of hang out and we just be be in the conversation about Ai and we play with it and we talk about how janky it is and

62. 14:02and it's so hard to keep to to type in the little limitations of the chat so I wanted to come up and say I was messing
63. 14:09with the new model and I'm I'm 56 I can remember playing zorc on my Commodore 64 in the in the early 80s it was one of
64. 14:17the it was one of those games that had that AI aspect to it almost but it was it was one of the early early things and
65. 14:25it was part were amazing yeah yeah it was part of that early 80s culture and uh I really love the game and so I asked
66. 14:33the new model I said can you can you recreate that classic zor game for me and I'd like to run it and play it real
67. 14:40time and it did it created a very very from memory anyway a similar experience and the thing that and then I wondered
68. 14:48okay what code did you use to to build this give me some information about how you did this and it was like there was
69. 14:54no code written it was just the LL and that that really dawned on me that the llm is so powerful and so broad an
70. 15:02application that it can actually do a zor game without actually writing code but using the inherent properties of the
71. 15:09LL I know it's Bonkers and then think about that with you know just use the the chat GPT app in voice mode and you have a a virtual DM
72. 15:22right anyway that's all I wanted to share man oh that's awesome that's awesome thanks for thanks for hopping up

74. 15:38these things are crazy so so we'll talk about the new model tonight a little bit um also it looks like Runway ml came out
75. 15:47with video to video today right right before they're doing a new 48 hour um competition video competition or or gen 48 I think it's 48 hours

77. 16:13four so they each had double k Kevin mallister moments yeah yeah the new notebook LM thing people are losing their minds over
78. 16:22it because it really is it's the first of that voice synthesis thing the generates a standalone media property
79. 16:32that doesn't really need editing I mean you could add like a music bumper to the front of it and just launch it as a podcast
80. 16:43absolutely I haven't seen you in about two months is chat GPT still better than Claude well interesting so welcome back first of all
81. 16:53um Claude 3.5 Sonet um which launched 6 weeks ago um is quite remarkable and a lot of people
82. 17:09uh like like it better than gp4 Omni the the G the gp4 small o model um yesterday chat GPT launched 01 not to be confused with o or not to
83. 17:26be confused with 4.0 [ __ ] idiots um and the jury is still out it what it looks like is that the the new
84. 17:3801 model there's a couple of things about it your rate limited to 50 queries in a week um when they launched it I think
85. 17:49people did what people do when new GPT models launched they're like you know write me a poem do it this do it that
86. 17:55they just did stupid [ __ ] with it and burned up all their credits so apparently open AI reset everyone's
87. 18:01credits after a little bit of Education to say you know this is fancier like you have limits but we're going to reset
88. 18:09them so in theory we're all reset but knowing that you have 50 I think is actually a good thing because it is uh it's going to it's
89. 18:21going to force us and I think we can explore tonight what you would do in gp4 Omni versus what would do in regular chat
90. 18:30GPT um but to answer your question um I would say at this point the the the line between Claude and chat
91. 18:44GPT is fairly thin and it's probably more personal choice um if you're paying for either of them you get some extra
92. 18:53features the one thing that chat GPT still has that Claude doesn't and I can't believe they don't they don't is
93. 19:00Claude is not connected to the internet so you can't do searches you know you can't do things on Modern news stories
94. 19:06for example you could go to chat GPT tell it to look up some [ __ ] take that content pasted into Claud and then do things based on that
95. 19:16but um I'd say they're toss up the Claude artifacts feature if you have not played with it is mind-blowing it's
96. 19:26mind-blowing what did we do the other night I took this was so cool I took some handwritten lecture notes so I went
97. 19:34on the Google and I searched for handwritten lecture notes and I found a someone took a snapshot of their notebook from
98. 19:44class I didn't read it I and I tried to find one that was kind of scribbly looking it was cursive and who [ __ ]
99. 19:50reads cursive anymore um and we put that in chat GPT and chat GPT read it and made a nice organized set of notes about
100. 19:59it and then I took those notes over to Claude And I said to Claude turn these lecture notes into an interactive
101. 20:08dashboard and it turned the lecture notes into an Interactive Learning dashboard where there were like drop-
102. 20:15down menus and three different tabs with different content on it all organized by the content so it's it's pretty
103. 20:21remarkable right now I think I think the three well honest to God Gemini um is has got some pretty remarkable
104. 20:34components to it if you play with the Gemini 1.5 Pro it's multimodal meaning you can upload like an hour of video and
105. 20:42it just you can ask it questions about the video including um what's happening visually because it's not only seeing
106. 20:51the you know transcribing the words it's seeing the images in the video um so that's pretty remarkable perplexity
107. 20:59um is really good for doing research not perfect yet still a bit janky but really good for research and doing articles and
108. 21:06things like that um Claude has got this artifacts thing and then chat gpt's chat GPT and they just launched their new 01
109. 21:16model which is this reasoning version it's a it's really a Chain of Thought engine um we'll go take a look at um
110. 21:26David Shapiro's coming down hard hard on open AI right now saying they don't have [ __ ] that this is just Chain of Thought
111. 21:35you know programming and he's he he's I think he's starting an open source project called raspberry to to go after
112. 21:43open Ai and just say that what you did is not that special but we'll go play with it tonight and see see what we we discover
113. 21:53if you had to pay for only one which would you choose good God so so a answer me this K kedo studio um what what's your use case is it
114. 22:10programming is it writing is it marketing is it strategy is it recipes like what's your what's your uh yeah so I on China says number one
115. 22:26chat GPT right right number two Claude number three grock grock also got
116. 22:42good novel's kind of writing okay so here's what I would do um because so so there's couple of things all right let me let me show you
117. 22:56actually ow my back's still out my back went out oh God damn it my back went out last Friday and it's still out [ __ ]
118. 23:06killing me so if it gets too bad I'll I'll bail early tonight just fair warning um all right let's
119. 23:32uh uh uh uh okay so okay okay novels writing things like that
120. 23:50[Music] wow so I don't know I don't know how deep you've dug into llms but I'll just I'll just assume you're relatively new
121. 24:03um a a really good thing to do if you're if you're doing creative writing is um have whatever model you're
122. 24:15using recommend a storytelling framework like like talk to it about storytelling Frameworks and have it recommend some
123. 24:22and have it describe what they are and then choose a storytelling framework and then give it you know components of of
124. 24:29the thing you want to write then have it write a broad outline and then refine that broad outline and then have it
125. 24:35write a detailed outline and then refine that and then have it do detail you know within the segments of the outline um
126. 24:43and then start doing your writing um you might be farther along than that but you could even even if you've got something
127. 24:49started you could have chat GPT or Claude analyze it and give you like a narrative analysis of it and then go in
128. 24:57and fix The Narrative analysis and then modify things from there also so far none of these things are
129. 25:05good at just vomiting out entire pieces so what I would strongly suggest is take small little sections of the story and
130. 25:13write them in small little chunks and then sort of copy and paste them out into an editing document um know that
131. 25:22all of it is going to require some editing a lot of editing quite frankly um but it will get you there much much
132. 25:30faster and I the the way I see these things is they're dramatic confidence boost boosters but I think you now have three different
133. 25:38options within chat GPT and it might be worth paying for chat GPT because of these three options but what I what I would also suggest
134. 25:49is figure out a good exercise to go from like outline to writing do it in Claude and then do it in the three modes of cat GPT I'm going
135. 26:01to show you and then figure out which one you like best from a tone and personality standpoint from a writing standpoint
136. 26:10because these llms at this point are so good and Claude and and open AI in particular are so good that it's kind of
137. 26:19a a coin toss but they definitely have personalities so if you find that you like the style of claude's writing
138. 26:25better go to Claude but here's what I want to show you so in the new chat GPT you've got gp4 Omni so this is their
139. 26:36the this came out this summer this is that multimodal more efficient version of chat GPT you've got 01 preview which
140. 26:46is the this is their new you know fancy reasoning Chain of Thought engine and then under more models you still have access
141. 26:59to gp4 Legacy model this is the one that's 1.8 trillion parameters and eight eight or 10 different um they call it
142. 27:09mode of experts or something like that mode of experts no something of experts collection of experts but there's
143. 27:16there's eight or 10 different models I think it's 10 different models make this up and they're they're
144. 27:24each 180 billion parameters and so that all adds up to 1.8 trillion parameters it's slower but I think for
145. 27:35writing this one might be a really interesting thing to go with but you know test gp4 Omni but then if we're talking about the 01
146. 27:48preview let me try something here so I'm going to put this in 01 preview I'm going to go try to find something hang on
147. 28:03see I have a feeling that 01 preview might help you structurally like write the outline and do the analysis of the thing better
148. 28:15than any of the others because it's doing multi-step processing but let me let me go look for something here I have an I have a a like a

165. 33:40markers like that is a good thing and then I'm hitting shift return to give myself extra line breaks so now I'm
166. 33:46going to write the actual prompt um based on these inputs I'd like you to analyze it and
167. 34:11and fill in the outline for me and make it a good compelling screenplay with lots of twists and turns and surprises
168. 34:30and also introduce new characters that are memorable and move the plot forward organically okay so let's see how this
169. 34:43bad boy does so okay so just so you know what I'm doing um gp4 Omni the new one and the old gp4 both would fail if you gave it
170. 34:57really complicated tasks like this I'm thinking that this reasoning version of 01 might be good at that so that's
171. 35:07that's why I got excited to come over here and play and this could this could fall straight on his face so say thinking
172. 35:14creating a compelling narrative or crafting a compelling narrative unraveling the mystery understanding consequences
173. 35:23facing a pivotal Choice taking a closer look capturing moments so these are all the different steps of the thinking it's
174. 35:29doing reliving nostalgic thoughts meeting and planning rethinking actions this is looking promising tracking
175. 35:35progress wrapping up act one identifying threats realizing the threat engaging in a quest examining the possibilities this
176. 35:43is this looks really promising revealing crucial hints trying another way Jack Jr confronts Styles facing deep fears
177. 35:53Unlocking The Hidden Truths unraveling the mystery holy [ __ ] this is is looking promising crafting a narrative
178. 36:00monitoring Becky relying on the album unraveling Clues so while it's doing this the I thought for 59 seconds so that was a
179. 36:1560c um chain of thought that it did so every one of these moments these are separate prompts that it gave itself crafting a compell
180. 36:27narrative I'm analyzing the screenplay fragments crafting the screenplay involves analyzing the outline crafting
181. 36:34a thrilling screenplay I'm digging into Jack Jr's character a loner obsessed with photography ensuring the plot is
182. 36:41engaging so just so you know what the the basic plot is here is family moves into a new house in in Nevada they go out just as a family
183. 36:53while the movers are you know unloading [ __ ] into the house they just go for a drive to take a break they end up in this little curio
184. 37:02shop and Jack's a photographer and Silas the the curio shop owner um how does it work does he give him an album or Jack discovers an album
185. 37:15but anyway Jack discovers this album of old photographs and the photographs in the album start predicting events in Jack's life so it's
186. 37:27it's a soothsaying photo album of all these old creepy photographs so that's kind of the setup of the thing crafting
187. 37:34a compelling screenplay unraveling the mystery understanding the consequences if Jack Jr fails his family will lose
188. 37:41him leaving him to grieve and face life alone facing a pivotal Choice he must decide between watching his family's
189. 37:49destruction or abandoning his perception to survive in act three wow this is cool capturing moments okay so let's see what it came up with I
190. 38:00mean this is this is seriously [ __ ] impressive just the thinking that it did here so where's the did it give us an actual
191. 38:18answer um switch model copy where's the I'm just going to say

214. 42:17Humanity's will against Destiny Becky's transformation from dismissive sister to supportive Ally Sam's fate the
215. 42:25Revelation that Sam is alive but in a coma adds emotional weight and motivates Jack the rituals true purpose initially
216. 42:33believed to be a way to destroy the album it's actually a test of Jack Jr's ability to forgive himself and accept
217. 42:39help from others conclusion the filled in outline now represents a compelling screenplay with emotional depth and

243. 46:59actual I I am a little I'm a little shooketh this is this is good but okay here's what's important from from the way I'm thinking about
244. 47:16this doing a narrative analysis and creating a detailed like finishing the outline of a screenplay is a big complicated
245. 47:27multi-step process to do right so this is the kind of project this is where you would use 01 versus chat
246. 47:38GPT right if you've just got one little fragment you want to create use chat gbt but if you want a big nasty hairy multi-step thing
247. 47:51um okay determination I remember having that once he circles them slowly like a predator stalking prey this is I got to
248. 47:59tell you this is just good writing it's just good writing you see I was like you a seer chosen by the album I tried to
249. 48:09fight it too I I mean this is what's amazing about this is when I came up with the idea for this screenplay I had a really clear idea for

492. 1:32:17have is this GPT no this is not this is Gemini so this is a a product from Google called notebook LM so if you go to notebook lm. goole.com
493. 1:32:31it's a it's it's a quite remarkable tool that I I have not been paying enough attention to it because people have been
494. 1:32:39telling me for months I should I should dig into it more um but they just added this feature this podcast feature um
495. 1:32:47listen to the crackle in the guy's voice yep I know um anyway but and this is what I love does it with a song you know it's funny you
496. 1:32:58should say that using a musical to explore AI it's actually brilliant think about how musicals work they take these
497. 1:33:04big complex emotions societal issues even and they make them accessible they make you feel them through the music
498. 1:33:11right and then there's and the other thing that I did with this so the the first one I did um was was this collective
499. 1:33:19intelligence so this is a book that I'm about to publish Kevin Clark and I wrote this it's called collective intelligence
500. 1:33:25in the age of AI and so I saw people on Twitter talking about notebook lm's new talkie feature and so I went oh let me go try
501. 1:33:37and so I just happened to have the PDF of this new book handy because we've been editing it and um and so I uploaded
502. 1:33:46it to notebook LM and then I made a little I went into iMovie to make this movie with the with the cover of the
503. 1:33:52book on it um but here's the uh here's a little bit of this one all right so today we're going to dive into something
504. 1:33:59kind of mindblowing yeah the future of intelligence it's a big one but we're not talking you know like those Sci-Fi
505. 1:34:07movies with robots taking over right this is different this is about humans and AI like teaming up yeah to become
506. 1:34:15something even smarter than we could be on our own like unlocking superpowers we' never thought of exactly yeah and to
507. 1:34:22help us explore this we've got got collective intelligence in the age of AI great book great book and you know the
508. 1:34:29authors Kevin Clark and Kyle Shannon they're not just talking about this stuff they're actually out there
509. 1:34:34building it yeah they're really making it happen with their company content Evolution bringing together all these
510. 1:34:40Brilliant Minds all the best people from every field you can think of it's like assembling a team of like the Avengers
511. 1:34:47but for brain power I like that analogy right instead of fighting villains they're tackling like the biggest
512. 1:34:53challenges facing Humanity exactly using their powers for good yeah and they start the book with this anecdote about
513. 1:35:00Picasso I don't know if you've heard this one I think so tell me so this woman approaches Picasso she's like can
514. 1:35:06you do a quick sketch for me on this napkin okay Picasso is like Gasher so he whips something up in like five minutes
515. 1:35:12it'sa right and then he tells her that'll be a million Franks please oh wow and the woman's obviously taking
516. 1:35:21back she's like a million Franks for 5 minutes of work right and Picasso just kind of smiles and says no D it took me
517. 1:35:28a lifetime to learn to draw like this in 5 minutes that's a good one right that's a good one I mean that's that's something I I mean
518. 1:35:38it's there there's there's some some wonkiness to it right it it is not un janky it's it's janky um I'm waiting for
519. 1:35:46chat GPT to say something like since you were gone I've been thinking well Teton skier I had that experience I didn't
520. 1:35:53have that exact experience but I had a surprising experience from chat GPT the other day where I created a um a fine-tuning
521. 1:36:07of flux the image generation model so I uploaded like eight images of myself and created you know kind of like
522. 1:36:16dream Booth with stable diffusion where I could do self-portraits and I had chat GPT write me a bunch of image prompts and I said
523. 1:36:24here's an image prompt I wrote about myself and you know I have to use the word Kyle in the prompt and I said you
524. 1:36:30know use this basic format and then write me 20 new prompts and it did and so I'm copying and pasting these prompts
525. 1:36:38into the flux image generation model and about the time I got to the fourth one I'm like these feel very
526. 1:36:44familiar and what chat PT had done is because it's got memory and I don't know if you know it's got memory but it's got
527. 1:36:52memory it knows things like I used to be a professional juggler I used to do Shakespeare I I'm an entrepreneur I'm a CEO so all of the image
528. 1:37:02prompts were about me like but in fictional locations but it was like a juggler here and a CEO standing on a
529. 1:37:11Mountaintop and a and a inventor at his desk inventing [ __ ] whatever it might be or a Bard playing his guitar through a a
530. 1:37:21group of things and so it's already kind of doing that it's bizarre it's the beginning of the end of podcast or the birth of a million
531. 1:37:30podcasts per hour well so user 56055 54 9725 first of all change your name second of all because we give Bon
532. 1:37:44bonus points in here if you uh if you if you have a clever name but if you have a name like that I'll [ __ ] read the

593. 1:48:25if you're willing to navigate the 17 layers of menus to find it okay so if you go to notebook LM you'll you'll start on this
594. 1:48:35page um you and you create a new notebook so I'm going to jump into I'll jump into my collective intelligence one
595. 1:48:42so down the left hand side are um these are your data sources so you're going to upload you can upload lots of [ __ ] to
596. 1:48:52this right because it's got I don't know I don't know what they're doing technically but you can dump a bunch of
597. 1:48:57data in here so I just took the PDF of my book so this is a single data set notebook and then down here you've got
598. 1:49:05the prompt window right so this is now like chat GPT but I'm chat gping with my book in the right hand corner is this
599. 1:49:12thing that says notebook guide and you click on that and it pops up this model that's got like a summary of the data
600. 1:49:20and and suggestions for things you can do but this right here is it so it says audio overview and then I've created one
601. 1:49:28so I just load it but if if you don't haven't created one it'll say generate and you just generate it you have no
602. 1:49:35control over um listen to the whole thing because for the ones that I've published I probably had to generate 15
603. 1:49:45or 20 of them before it actually got it right like it's it's janky sometimes with Sydney it couldn't pronounced the
604. 1:49:53name and then sometimes it mentions songs and sometimes it didn't with AI Futures which has seven different
605. 1:50:00chapters with different authors in it sometimes it wouldn't mention any authors sometimes the whole thing would
606. 1:50:06just be on one author as if it was just written by one person sometimes the the whole point of the book was just wrong
607. 1:50:14so so pay attention to what it does but when it gets it right it's [ __ ] good um are the data sources private or
608. 1:50:23is it used to train their llms I don't know P do you know that do you know what the what the data uh source is I Mr K
609. 1:50:31all day I just tried the audio overview I'm telling you Mr K you can take any oh you know what would be good Mr K Mr K so
610. 1:50:39Mr K is a teacher I know you can't talk about AI with your students because [ __ ] School administrators
611. 1:50:47hopefully they're on this podcast if you are you're [ __ ] jerks let Mr K teach AI I just don't get me [ __ ] started
612. 1:50:56anyway here's what you should do um take some of your students writing I know you're teaching you're teaching math
613. 1:51:04this year not language arts but you've probably got some students you had in language arts last year take some of
614. 1:51:09their writing and throw it into a notebook LM and make them a podcast of something they wrote last year that would be
615. 1:51:20cool I I mean what you can what you can say to them is hey I have some friends that record podcasts and I gave them
616. 1:51:30your paper and they did a podcast on it you don't have to admit that it was AI yeah that's it that would blow their minds wouldn't
617. 1:51:40it all right did Kyle say he's on a podcast right now you good I'm good I just I get so apoplectic about our Ed ation [ __ ]
618. 1:51:55institutions acting like they can avoid this it it it makes me [ __ ] insane I'm a school admin but District
619. 1:52:04admin is resisting AI due to board policy ug yeah well fight against that so here's the thing Don Marco here's here's my philosophy on this
620. 1:52:16um even even higher education that is ignoring this if you think about how fast generative AI has evolved over the past two
621. 1:52:27years and just if it continues on that trajectory if if we don't go parabolic in terms of innovation if we just
622. 1:52:36continue like the way it's been improving for the past two years the world two years from now so a freshman
623. 1:52:44that started two years ago graduates College the world is not going to look the same as it looks today
624. 1:52:53and institutions that are like it's okay we've solved AI we use AI detectors there's going to be no cheating here
625. 1:53:00yeah there's also going to be no critical thinking and no [ __ ] preparation for those students to understand how to interact with this
626. 1:53:07[ __ ] when they get into the world and it's [Music] everywhere and and and the other thing is this if you if you understand even a
627. 1:53:20little bit how large language models work what are students what are students students are large language
628. 1:53:30models right we we prepare them for for you know 12 or 13 or 14 years in this really structured way to put language in their
629. 1:53:43head so that they can go into the world and talk words good like I do right and Along Comes This thing that is the most
630. 1:53:59profound knowledge technology in the history of humanity called a large language model and the educational institutions are
631. 1:54:08like nope don't need that sorry we already got teachers yeah but there's this thing that can amplify what the
632. 1:54:16teachers do and it can amplify what the students do and it can completely transform what's even possible in this
633. 1:54:22world yeah no no no it's okay we've got AI detectors you [ __ ] kidding me okay anyway you can make
634. 1:54:38money is the podcas ification function only accessible if you pay for Notebook LM I don't know I don't think I pay for it but maybe I do
635. 1:54:52manage your Google account I don't know how I would know if I paid for it I've got because I've got Google at work like it's it it's

643. 1:56:08stuff how does the podcast work you literally just go into notebook LM you open up the the um notebook guide and
644. 1:56:17then you click generate audio overview and it's done you download it and publish it [ __ ] amazing um you don't have to pay for

655. 1:57:53something completely different so just keep generating them till you get it right weekend homework okay the AI Salon

657. 1:58:10month the first Tuesday of the month is called the salon presents and that's where we have a speaker come in and talk

659. 1:58:23and things like that but people get to introduce themselves and you know talk about what they're doing in Ai and and we're going
660. 1:58:32to start to do monthly themes where because a lot of people come back over and over again we're going to have
661. 1:58:38different things that people talk about um so it's a really inspiring meeting because you get to meet people who are
662. 1:58:45up to some cool [ __ ] and what what you'll find in there is that someone will be talking about something you're
663. 1:58:51like oh that's a problem I'm trying to solve let's connect and so people are connecting in real time while people are
664. 1:58:57introducing themselves really powerful all right Mr it the the 01 mini helped me fill my US patent office application
665. 1:59:05for my trademark it was awesome perfect and that's a perfect use case for it right it's complicated it's
666. 1:59:12sophisticated it's got to do step bystep thinking but it's not really thinking I would call it more processing processing
667. 1:59:21is the term I would use it's mathematical I put math in there rest your back yeah I know I got
668. 1:59:36to go okay um homework for this weekend I'll give you two if you have not made a notebook LM podcast of some piece of work of yours

684. 2:02:22the I'm telling you the [ __ ] screenplay thing I just did is I'm still a little face melted by it so there's your
685. 2:02:30homework podcast and figure out some problem solvy thing using the 01 model and then next week maybe we can hear from some people
686. 2:02:42that what did you do and what did it do and what was it good at and what did it suck at because part of the idea of playing
687. 2:02:49first part of this is is the only way for us to know where the boundaries are of what's good and what's
688. 2:02:58not like what you can actually use this [ __ ] for is to just try [ __ ] when when when whoever it was I
689. 2:03:08don't know if the person is still here they're probably not I don't know why they would be um the person that came in
690. 2:03:13and said you know which one should I use to write a novel when it sort of popped in my head oh maybe the new 01 model
691. 2:03:19would be good at outlines for storytelling I was like that was like okay maybe I certainly didn't expect it to be
692. 2:03:30great and then I thought well maybe because it can think like that it could actually write dialogue and it [ __ ] did I would not
693. 2:03:43have I would not have discovered that had we not been here [ __ ] around so so don't don't put any expectations on yourself that you're
694. 2:03:53going to learn AI or you're going to learn Pro just go play and then as you learn [ __ ] build [ __ ] and as you build [ __ ] share what
695. 2:04:06you're learning okay and share the [ __ ] you're building I don't care if it's pictures or songs or applications or [ __ ] cookie
696. 2:04:20recipes just share it start to establish yourself as someone thinking critically about AI it will serve you everyone that's
697. 2:04:30here that's part of this community that does this stuff regularly is blossoming professionally personally wife and I watched Oprah she
698. 2:04:43is now scared of AI yeah I know I didn't even talk about the Oprah thing tonight I uh it reinforced for me were very early
699. 2:04:56um I was a little disappointed in Oprah but whatever the the one thing where I think she actually failed last
700. 2:05:08night is I thought it was a decent thing but like the middle segment with Christopher Ray was the was the fear
701. 2:05:15segment and then she had an opportunity for that last segment to be the um the play first segment here are some
702. 2:05:25things you could do with AI right now go play and instead she brings on that sociologist woman that basically
703. 2:05:32said the cabal of the AI project are out to try to replace humans and they're going to fail but in doing so they're
704. 2:05:40going to [ __ ] up everyone's life that was kind of the end message of the thing so there wasn't a little
705. 2:05:46moment of why don't you go give it a shot and try it for yourself cuz clearly Oprah hasn't but that just says to me we're
706. 2:05:54early um we're early so for what that's worth I'm presenting two AI conferences in the next few months doors are opening
