43. 10:32they've been looking um I'm sure they reached I'm sure they made this offer to the anthropic guys and they made it to these two now I
44. 10:44don't know how this works I mean inflection raised $1.3 billion right and and have gone out and purchase 22,000 h100 gpus it you know
45. 11:01so I'm assuming Microsoft had to buy buy them out you know not just pay them a ridiculous salary but buy them out
46. 11:10of that contract so they don't get their ass handed to them by the investors they didn't buy the company they just those
47. 11:18two just moved over to Microsoft and then the announcement from inflection is that um it basically says we've always wanted
48. 11:30to make our technology available um I can't spell co-pilot without Pi but that's the thing Pi is not going to Microsoft the technology is
49. 11:41not going it's the two co-founders going to head up consumer AI at Microsoft it's a weird they'll often call these things
50. 11:52Aqua highes where they'll acquire the company and then just dump the tech and keep the executives they want but
51. 11:59they're allowing inflection to carry on and inflection is basically said we're going to we're going to make our
52. 12:05technology available to developers which we've always wanted to do and now we're going to do it so good on us it
53. 12:12basically said you know people always asked us how we got pie to to be so conversational and CU they could never
54. 12:19figure it out well we're good at this so we're going to we're going to open it up it's not available yet but it's
55. 12:25coming so this is this is a fairly major blow I like I was excited like pi to me felt like one of those companies that

83. 17:32not like the browsers weren't doing fundamentally different things right so it was kind of like incremental change
84. 17:39after incremental change and they tended to be 3 months apart 6 months apart but you were kind of all going in the same direction
85. 17:51and what's happening with this AI stuff is it's like like there's these massively disruptive announcements like Sora the Sora video
86. 18:05announcement they dropped that bomb and people lose their [ __ ] Tyler Perry cancel cancels an $800 million
87. 18:14Studio expansion in Atlanta because of it and then they they they basically say well we don't know when it's coming out
88. 18:21it may never come out so there's like so these expectations go way up here and then and then just nothing and
89. 18:29and now as interviews are coming out it looks like it's going to be 2 or 3 months and so I think there's this sort
90. 18:34of adrenaline rush of like oh we're going to have this things that's going to change everything in video and I think all the attention goes
91. 18:41over there and then when that Peters out it's just like sort of the the energy in the collective kind of drops
92. 18:50and then another announcement comes and it's like oh they go over here and I kind of feel like we had um Claude 3 inflection
93. 18:592.5 um uh what was the other one oh Gemini 1.5 Pro all three of those are gp4 competitors right so they all come
94. 19:09out within like two weeks of each other we all get excited we run over we start playing with all these everyone's all
95. 19:14excited about Claude they think claude's got some sort of personhood [ __ ] everyone's all excited over there but
96. 19:21everyone's like what's open AI going to do and then there's nothing and then so like the nothingness sort of drops the
97. 19:29energy again so I'm just I'm just seeing these wild oscillations kind of in the collective where when there's energy that when
98. 19:40there's things are actually delivered there's all this energy and people are doing [ __ ] and they're like I'm going to
99. 19:46change the world this is awesome and like a week goes by without an announcement and they're like ah [ __ ] I

448. 1:22:21instantly do research and and you know kind of put your project in a bigger context um and then when I had to outline all the
449. 1:22:36different scenes I have it describe what's happening in them um if I didn't like stuff i' go no you got you got the first three scenes
450. 1:22:46you've got it you know way too dramatic or way too this or way too that and it'll just fix it and so you can kind of block out what
451. 1:22:56would normally take you weeks if not months just to like understand like where this play could live in the context of Broadway history
452. 1:23:12right and then once you start to understand the narrative Arc you can have it suggest song titles and concepts for the songs in each of the
453. 1:23:23scenes and and because it understands the bigger context it gives me Styles right so so I said here are the three it was
454. 1:23:34it was Evan Hansen Phantom of the Opera and rent so those were the three those were the three plays the three musicals that I'm saying draw
455. 1:23:49inspiration from them structurally and in tone and in you know the thematics and so because it understands
456. 1:23:59that and because it understands this story and because it understands the article it came from and the transcript
457. 1:24:05it came from it's got all that in memory I can then say give me a list of suggested songs and their song Styles and
458. 1:24:15then I can just go into well here we'll do it now we I'll do one now um I can just go into chat GPT that's got all of
459. 1:24:25this [ __ ] uploaded to it and just say Give me lyrics for for song 4 and and tell me what the style is
