5. 0:37okay oh very cool very nice so so so we're in in different parts of the country um I'm live on Tik Tok right now
6. 0:44on the AI learning lab I'm also live on AI learning lab YouTube and my personal LinkedIn account so if you're on
7. 0:52LinkedIn hi everybody and where is this is streaming for you to where this is streaming for me to um my
8. 1:03LinkedIn and we kind of sort of think maybe maybe my YouTube okay but that's an area for you know fway or calendar
9. 1:17year 2025 review that's that's very nice and here's where we all are here's where we're all meeting meeting in the
10. 1:29middle this is what we're talking about this is what we're talking about so um today we are going to Avail people of information about our
11. 1:42AI Readiness certification and we'll share a little bit about how we got here how did we get to this point where today
12. 1:49we are launching this opportunity for everyone who has asked us for it which is a whole lot of people um we're going
13. 1:56to talk a little bit about what what happened at AI f F uh the response to AI Festivus and then what the credentialing
14. 2:05program will look like as of our current thinking which is I don't know 85% there 90 we've got a we've got a few
15. 2:16weeks where we're going to um refine our thoughts and do some beta testing with beta users and then we will drop this
16. 2:24thing for everybody on February 1 so exactly that's what we're up to if that's what you're interested in you

23. 3:21must be yeah you must they must be viewing so we'll leave it we'll leave it at that um the other thing uh I felt
24. 3:30like oh Lor yours is fine your link was fine okay perfect the link is working now I kind of figured okay so why don't
25. 3:39we take a second to introduce ourselves just in case there are people who haven't yet met us my name is Anna

28. 4:05LinkedIn is weird um all right it took me far too long to figure this out well figured it out all right
29. 4:15well we'll let let's let's do that why don't you introduce yourself let let the people also this is perfect so this is perfect training
30. 4:25for the AI Wilderness because nothing works on the first click and nothing works on the 12th click on the 12th
31. 4:33click there's this one woman I follow on Tik Tok and she her name is um infinite something and um she purposely makes it
32. 4:45difficult to find her stuff on the internet be find her courses because she doesn't want people in there who can't
33. 4:53dig around and find stuff you you want to know what's funny what when I when I first moved to New York there was an
34. 4:59acting teacher named Bill esper and he invited me to take his acting class and when I went to you know sign up for his
35. 5:05class the receptionist dude was just really nasty and he was like just wait over there just nasty dismissive and so
36. 5:13I waited for like 45 minutes and I'm like what's up you know am I gonna meet with Bill and he's like no he's busy
37. 5:18just come back tomorrow and sent me away he did that three days in a row and I found out that was all by design that
38. 5:26that bill didn't want anyone in his acting class that that didn't have the Moxy to get past his nasty assistant
39. 5:33because it's a tough business so I totally get it but anyway so Anne introduce yourself please okay yeah so
40. 5:41um my name is Anne Murphy and I live in Corvalis Oregon which is where Oregon state is and a couple of years ago after
41. 5:4825 years in my industry I launched a consultancy my uh subject matter expertise is in nonprofit and highered
42. 5:56fundraising and when I added AI in into that my subject matter expertise I got like my superpowers where I was able to
43. 6:06really focus on working out of my zone of Genius Like I launched this company because I want to make an impact in the
44. 6:13world and making an impact in the world isn't going to happen when a Visionary type person type leader is you know scouring
45. 6:24through uh where the comma is you know where the comma is supposed to be uh what why the spreadsheet column is off
46. 6:32like that's not going to work so I started using AI got completely hooked on it joined a bunch of communities to
47. 6:40kind of test them out and I got I got really um involved with the AI exchange which is R Rachel woods and then I got
48. 6:49really involved with the AI Salon which is Kyle and his crew his vast crew um his co-founder Leah fasten uh the whole
49. 6:58group of Champions who were called the Irregulars long story needs context um and then in the beginning of 2024 I
50. 7:08launched she leads AI which at the time was just you know highlighting you know baller women in the AI space and then
51. 7:16that got a lot of enthusiasm and then we started doing events and we started doing knowledge swaps and then the
52. 7:22election happened which was a call to action for so many of us then we had a really big event and then you know 3,200
53. 7:30people signed up for Festivus and 1,700 of them joined our shead's AI mailing list and that what brings that's what
54. 7:38brings me to today that's what brings us here um just quickly before I introduce myself it looks like there are people on
55. 7:44LinkedIn in What's called the theater which maybe is a a backstage waiting area for this thing do you know if
56. 7:51there's any there's no theater in LinkedIn no no in the in restream is there a theater is there some sort of
57. 7:58holding room in Ram that you know of no no definitely not there's just LinkedIn live it's on I don't know
58. 8:08what's happening because I've been doing these for 24 months so really it's just showing on my on my like let me see if
59. 8:18there's something wrong with it while you introduce yourselves yeah Amelia says several people are waiting okay
60. 8:23cool um typically Bess I gotta say something typically bless all of your hearts absolutely adore you however AI
61. 8:32Salon folks don't spend as much time on LinkedIn and it's typically you guys who have a hard time getting on so bear with
62. 8:40us we're gonna figure this out I will I will figure out what's going on great so I'm Kyle Shannon uh I am a Storyteller
63. 8:49by training uh I uh I have a fine arts degree in acting I've written a bunch of screenplays I moved to New York City out
64. 8:56of school to pursue a life in the Arts uh I'm based in Denver Colorado right now um in the mid90s I stumbled upon
65. 9:04this thing called the worldwide web and just became absolutely enamored with it and what the possibilities were and I
66. 9:11started one of the first online magazines and one of the first digital agencies a company called agency.com in the
67. 9:17mid90s so I've been in a movie before that looks very similar to what we're going through right now with AI um my
68. 9:24current gig is I'm the co-founder and CEO of storyvine which is an automated uh video storytelling platform we've
69. 9:30been around for 13 years come this may uh so I've been doing that for a while and then yeah when chat GPT came out I I
70. 9:38um recognized that holy crap here's another here's another big technological shift that's about to happen and um the
71. 9:47one thing that I learned back in the worldwide web days is community is everything uh and if you're connected
72. 9:54and in the conversation in the early stages of a technology takeoff um there's massive opportunity there and so
73. 10:02I started the AI Salon I started the Tik Tok Channel and We're Off to the Races so and that brings us here so let are
74. 10:10are you good you want me to just give a little bit of background on how we got to festiv yeah because I'm I'm gonna try
75. 10:15to keep You're Gonna Keep keep motoring okay yes fantastic um okay so um the AI Salon was uh our first meeting was December 7th 2022 so that
76. 10:31was the day uh the week after chat GPT launched the following year um an had become part of the AI salon and um we got to um the holiday
77. 10:45break and me having ADHD I had an idea that everyone they had just launched custom gpts and everyone was excited about gpts and I
78. 10:56knew an was teaching people how to build gpts in her community and we were doing lots of that in the AI salon and so I
79. 11:03reached out to Ann and I said I have this wacky idea what if we did a 24hour gpon for nonprofits because you know she
80. 11:10does nonprofit fundraising and she's zany and I thought she might just say yes so she didn't hes you didn't
81. 11:18hesitate you were like yep let's do it I'm in and so last year on the weekend in between Christmas and New Year's we
82. 11:26got people are getting in now uh so whatever you're doing it looks like it's working um so that's good so so we did
83. 11:36this thing called GPT for good and and we invited people from our communities and I don't know how many showed up 100
84. 11:41150 something like that over the 24 hours and these communities came together and built 150 more than 150
85. 11:51gpts for nonprofits we had some people like uh Suzanne Welker Jurgens and and Kelly camp and Daisy Thomas that stayed
86. 12:00for the whole 24 hours and you know they intended to come in and build one GPT and they ended up building you know 20
87. 12:07of them it was absolutely a remarkable event so that was last year and then this year about a month before the
88. 12:14holidays Ann reached out to me and said hey are we gonna do a thing and I'm like yeah we should do a thing and then we
89. 12:21kicked around some ideas and one of the things that we we struck on was we've got these community with remarkably
90. 12:30talented people in them and is there some way that we could provide a stage for people to get out there right to to
91. 12:39put their talents out there and what they're working on out there because what what we've learned in our
92. 12:43communities is that experiencing what someone else is doing with AI is one of the best ways to learn it right learning
93. 12:49it yourself is good and required and all that sort of stuff but being in a community of people that are doing
94. 12:54things that you don't do is a great way to learn it and so that was the idea and then two weeks went by and I had done
95. 13:02nothing on this so we had like two weeks to go uh before that weekend and an reached back out to me and said hey Kyle
96. 13:10have you done anything on this AI Festivus thing and I was like came up with a name I came up with a name for
97. 13:20it and so she took off she put a a team of volunteers together and within I don't know within four or five days days
98. 13:29it had already taken shape and we were texting furiously back and forth about we've got X number of speakers and
99. 13:35everyone I'm asking is saying yes and and then she said have you called your people and I'm like no but then I
100. 13:42did and everyone I reached out to said yes with the exception of of two people that just logistically couldn't do it
101. 13:50because of holiday travel and so we had 34 people say yes we've essentially everyone we asked out of our communities
102. 13:57was like I'm in where do you need me when do you need me and we're like well it's a holiday weekend and they're like
103. 14:01oh that's more complicated they gave us hours and then and then an took all of those names and all of those schedules
104. 14:08and put together the uh the itinerary so so the event if you missed it AI Festivus was December 27th and
105. 14:1628th they started at 9 in the morning Pacific time and essentially went till 9 o'clock at night um both Friday and Saturday the 27th and
106. 14:2528th um and that was the plan and we had 34 speakers in 23 or 24 sessions so we had some panels in there and uh and and
107. 14:34that was that now what happened was along the way tell me when you want to jump back in and because I'm just sort
108. 14:40of riffing while you're you're good yeah no I'm just I'm just responding to about 50 messages about links so for everyone
109. 14:49you're not missing anything yeah we know you're not missing yeah Kyle go on you've got the links posted in here
110. 14:58multiple times just use those if you're having a hard time getting in beautiful so okay awesome so um so we we started putting the word out
111. 15:09and and a couple of things started happening we were starting to get more response than um than we were planning
112. 15:17we were hoping maybe for I don't know what three or 400 people to sign up and at some point we had 100 people signed
113. 15:23up and and reached out and like is anyone going to come to our party it'd be nice if we had 300 I'm like I know
114. 15:29and then it went up a little bit and then all of a sudden we were at like 405 and then we were at like 700 like
115. 15:36the the numbers just went crazy and it turns out um a a lovely woman named Sabrina romanof um made a a video about
116. 15:45the event on her Tik Tok Channel which is she's got a whole community and so that just kind of lit registrations on
117. 15:53fire so we ended up registering more than 3,200 people for this event um and it was absolutely insane and it
118. 16:04we you know we I'm trying to think when we about three days before the event we were probably north of 2,000 people
119. 16:12registered and so we got together and we said listen a normal normally what we would do is we would do like a a zoom
120. 16:19call where everybody logs in and we all get to talk to each other and like with 2,000 people that ain't G to work like
121. 16:26you know Zoom don't do that um and nothing does that right so and it's just not logistically possible so we ended up
122. 16:32switching our um Zoom subscription uh to to what's called a webinar format and we had to go to a Max of 3,000 people which
123. 16:41was really pricey so we had sponsors that all stepped up and helped underwrite all of that and so the event
124. 16:48went you know took off and and it was absolutely amazing so let's see tell me more about AI Festivus what was it why should I have
125. 16:59fomo so so what it was was this two days of really anyone could speak about anything they wanted to speak about we
126. 17:08hand selected them they were like the superstars of our communities right they're the people that we like we want these people to talk
127. 17:16um and and so should you have fomo yes you should absolutely have fomo but the good news is the the recordings are available and
128. 17:26what we're talking about today the certification is a certification to take all the wisdom that was provided during
129. 17:32festiv us and turn that into a structured uh learning uh system and that's that we're developing right now
130. 17:39so that I'm really excited about but I guess what I'll do is this I will share my big takeaways an and then I'll kick
131. 17:46it over to you and I'd love to hear your big takeaways or or tell me if your head's in the game the talk yeah it is
132. 17:54in the game let me let me I'm going to answer questions as we go um not about not about links uh the links are in the
133. 18:02links are posted so um Diane asked or somebody asked not somebody asked about what the certification in a what is it
134. 18:13I'm going to dive in with yes it is a certification on AI somebody said not really so it is a certification on ai ai
135. 18:21not about it's not about AI tools right so so one of the things that we we talked about initially was doing AI
136. 18:29literacy certification and an reached out to me and I thought this was I'm so glad you did because I hadn't I hadn't
137. 18:36even gone here but she said literacy something doesn't feel right about it and we we kicked it back and forth where
138. 18:42we both landed was literacy was starting to feel like literacy is about learning the tools right learning prompt
139. 18:49engineering and learning tactical stuff and getting good at chat GPT and good getting good at apis and right getting
140. 18:56literate they felt very tool Centric and so so we kicked some ideas around and where we landed was what AI Festivus was
141. 19:04really about was people talking about how they're doing what they do in life and then how they use AI in the context
142. 19:12of that so they what they what what it was basically was 24 sessions of people talking about how they're getting AI
143. 19:19ready right and and so so when we had so many requests for can this become a certification focusing on well what do
144. 19:28we want to certify is actually really important and so AI Readiness is what we landed on and so the certification is
145. 19:35about AI Readiness and that's that I'm super excited about great um so I feel Kyle like based on the questions in the chat we should not go
146. 19:50through AI Festivus except for as we're answering the questions so let's um let me dive in with a couple of more details
147. 20:02first of all everybody let us take just a little step back I totally understand that you want to know the
148. 20:09nitty-gritty keep in mind we are still 30 days out from launching this but we are and we are only four days out from
149. 20:16Festivus so this is all happening really really quickly um and that if you are having fomo definitely go over to the AI
150. 20:25salon and you can you can get resources there you can watch the videos there and I'm sure somebody would drop that in
151. 20:32drop that link in the chat if you weren't already if you if you don't already know what that is if you go to
152. 20:37the salon. that's going to take you to a website you have to click on join our community on that website and that will
153. 20:45take you to the community site where the resources are okay um yeah and I was wondering if Vicky you could drop links or Donnie drop links
154. 20:58that people are asking for and that they need in order to access some of these resources oh thank you thank you Silver
155. 21:04Fox appreciate you very much um so couple of things um about how Okay so Kyle already me talked about the difference between AI literacy and
156. 21:16AI Readiness and here's my take on it my take is that AI literacy was like 2023 2024 now that is absolutely St table
157. 21:27stakes and there this is not like fearmongering to say you can't jump on board because you absolutely like now's
158. 21:32a perfect time to jump on board like right now before like the next wave of things happen like we had a big wave in
159. 21:40December right there's always a lot going on but like right now this pause before you know agents become a big deal
160. 21:48which we don't need to worry about that today PA before the acceleration starts accelerating now a good time so this is the
161. 21:56perfect yeah so this is the perfect moment to dive in just like totally dive in so you're going to get the AI
162. 22:04literacy right like through osmosis and through your intuition that you're going to build and you're going to get AI
163. 22:12Readiness and what AI Readiness means to me is that you are you are like tool agnostic you could drop in and
164. 22:23understand like this is for making images this is for making movies this is for making you know really good good
165. 22:30written content like you'll know how to use it because you'll know like how to use those tools well enough that when you sit down
166. 22:40as an AI ready person and go okay I have a project I need to work on like you look at your to-do list and you go okay
167. 22:48how can I use AI so that I can work in my zone of Genius so that I don't do stuff for this project that's
168. 22:55unnecessary and K and I talk a lot about you know un unlearning using our brain first don't don't stop relying on this because this is the
169. 23:07bottleneck yes yes ex bottleneck it's way better than this is this is the bottleneck this is the bottleneck and
170. 23:15and not to say that anything is bad about our operating systems up here it's just that there's so much of what if we
171. 23:22think about what we've been doing for decades like what got most of us here because I I'm looking scanning I'm think
172. 23:28thinking mostly everybody is Gen X most people maybe Elder Millennial um in the chat if I'm getting if I'm picking up
173. 23:35what you guys are laying down um that we're used to first of all we're used to doing things the hard way we're used to
174. 23:42doing things through brute force and now we're tired and we're also at the same time ready to do more right so we're
175. 23:51tireder and we're more motivated and we have this moment in time so now being AI ready means you sit down at your desk or
176. 23:58you know you wander around outside while you're walking and you talk to your AI and you you think first like okay what
177. 24:07have I historically not enjoyed about a project like this and what historically am I trying to Outsource to other people where's the intern
178. 24:17where's right where's the admin Boomer represent okay Vicki okay I see you Jen nexton ready Lori yeah Rebecca
179. 24:28so true so think about like what are you yearning for an intern to do what are you yearn what are you going to upwork
180. 24:36to ask ask somebody to do what are you hoping that like your work bestie or your your work husband will do for you
181. 24:44and Tackle those things at first get some quick wins get some dopamine um then go okay how can I get AI to help me
182. 24:52frame this project up you know simple like hey AI what do I need to know in order to do this project or hey ask me a
183. 25:00few questions I need to I need to write a creative brief for this big event you know ask me a few questions about it so
184. 25:06we can get started on a successful project that's what I mean by AI Readiness and then the other thing okay
185. 25:13just I want to share one thing one of our speakers um is a guy named Jim Ross and if you don't know Jim Ross you
186. 25:18should connect with him in the AI Salon really great guy he sort of I would consider what Jim does is kind of AI
187. 25:26Readiness 2.0 if you want to like you want to if you want to kind of something to Aspire to um Jim gets up every
188. 25:34morning and he sets a timer for 60 minutes and in those 60 minutes he uses AI for his business he doesn't have an
189. 25:42agenda like he might he says the first 30 minutes he might have things he knows he needs to do make some emails do some
190. 25:47things make some marketing compy copy whatever it might be but that gets done very quickly and then he's still got 30
191. 25:53minutes where he just plays and one of the things that Jim's really good at there there's one thing of AI Readiness is thinking
192. 26:01about okay I have a problem to solve how can I use AI to do that where Jim then takes it is how can I use AI to do
193. 26:08something I never would have even thought of before and the the story that he shared during AI Festivus was one
194. 26:14night on a on a Tik Tock live he learned how to make songs in sunno and he had just met with a client the hour before
195. 26:21so he said why don't I write him a song and see if that you know if they like that and so he wrote a song in sunno and
196. 26:27sent it to this perspective client and five minutes later you got an email saying you're hired let's let's do this
197. 26:34so so AI Readiness is also about just having that sense of adventure that you can do things radically different than
198. 26:42you might have otherwise concerned yes we are streaming this on LinkedIn as well as YouTube all right and other questions so
199. 26:55um question is going to be how first of all congratulations LinkedIn user like that is so fire and I would love to if you could drop another
200. 27:07comment about what portion of your job search was most accelerated enabled Etc by Ai and oh she starts on Monday that's so cool
201. 27:21she or he they start on Monday that's awesome congratulations yay everybody in the chat high fives because that is bomb or
202. 27:30give them them high fives because this is a really this is an awesome Triumph congratulations and bringing the H
203. 27:37dragging the husband along teaching the husband toi love it dragging the husband along kicking and screaming at CB yes
204. 27:43yeah yeah the first thing I did was send everybody in in our organization to um Rachel Woods you know training and just
205. 27:52to get us all like whenever you're working with somebody and you're teaching someone I think the biggest
206. 27:57benefit is to have a Shar vocabulary right like what are the how do we talk about this it's just like any new skill
207. 28:03like if I were trying to knit I would need to know like 15 new vocabulary words before I could even do one thing yeah yeah yeah
208. 28:13exactly right I'd be like is it a I know it's not even called yarn anymore for example I know it's called fibers or
209. 28:22something artistic fibers I don't know so in that way it's like anything else you do live in Oregon um
210. 28:28I do oh so so yeah I I won't show you my shoes um so um one of the things that I want like when I was working on the landing
211. 28:43page which we're going to share with you guys it's of course a work in progress because four days out from from uh
212. 28:49Festivus but I was thinking about how this program this certification program Compares with some of the other things
213. 28:57out there and first of all no shade absolutely no shade to my colleagues who have launched programs and you know
214. 29:04Rachel Kimber and I have one that's super dope she's in the chat right now if you guys don't follow Rachel please
215. 29:09do she's amazing um but here's what's different about ours number one ours is not about tools as we've mentioned so
216. 29:20this is not going to be dive in we're going to show you 15 different tools we're going to tell you that you need to
217. 29:25have 15 Tools in fact when tools come up we're going to tell you focus on a few get really good at those and then spam
218. 29:33you know go out from there after you've played a whole bunch so it's not about tools because we know that the tools are
219. 29:39going to come and go so X Out tools tools are not only gonna come and go tools like how you use chat GPT today is
220. 29:48going to be fundamentally different than how you use it six months from now and it's fundamentally different than six
221. 29:53months earlier so even the same tool is going to change right so yeah so that's a bit of a trap and and
222. 30:00and it's a trap right and what's not a trap so here's the thing while while Festivus didn't talk about tools there
223. 30:09were probably I don't know 20 30 40 tools that were mentioned of here's things people are using but all of those
224. 30:17conversations were at the service of the thing they were trying to accomplish or the mindset that they had
225. 30:23right right right and I'll share like as a special bonus for this is that Kyle and I have already wasted spent learned
226. 30:36from thousands of hours of playing with tools I don't know for me way less than you but still I'm gonna guess like five
227. 30:44or 6 hundred hours learning new tools right attempting to learn hugging face for example and like crying attempting
228. 30:51like literally crying you know attempting to learn automations also crying um so we've done that and we are
229. 31:00100% sure at this point it's not about those so that's what's really good and you're going to develop the intuition to
230. 31:07know should I even just because I can use AI should I use AI so again that's a difference another difference is and I
231. 31:15think this is absolutely critical and what is so awesome about our organizations partnering together is
232. 31:21that and for those of you who were at festiv us you saw that we are real human beings every single one of those
233. 31:29Workshop presenters showed up as their whole human self every single one of them had the things that I think are
234. 31:35critical number one a curious mind number two a willingness to be vulnerable and number three a community
235. 31:40so they were up there saying to you you know first of all uh is my PowerPoint working right is my sound working right
236. 31:48so like they're human with is not a sanitized we don't have a production crew we have well we do we have Brandon
237. 31:54in the background and Donnie in the background but we don't have we rent a studio right it's good it's high quality
238. 32:01but it's not so overproduced that we couldn't edit it if we needed to if we couldn't you know we can C drop in and
239. 32:08make changes as things evolve um so we're real relatable humans I have taken all these courses where I just feel like
240. 32:16that person potentially may have never done anything with AI but they're just really good at reading a teleprompter
241. 32:22right that's harder for me to connect with or people who want to teach solely by um Theory like it's like as if it's
242. 32:32an academic Pursuit it's like we're learning we're studying about AI but we're not doing AI the other thing that
243. 32:40I see is um I remember when when they when you used to sell software in shrink wrap boxes you would get the the the
244. 32:48manual would be the resource of all the things the tool could do and a lot of the courses are here's all the things
245. 32:54the tool can do what really struck me an about about Festivus and I mean you talked about it like as real people they
246. 33:01showed up as their real selves but to a person like there wasn't a person that led with the tool first and a year ago
247. 33:08that just wasn't the case because the tools were so new everyone was just trying to figure out what do these
248. 33:13things do and now that we're kind of two years into whatever this industry the the post chat GPT industry
249. 33:21is what everyone to a person talked about was what they're trying to accomplish in their life what they're

251. 33:36know some people have been laid off and they've used AI to help them or now they're going to dive head log into AI I
252. 33:41think that's absolutely awesome because that's what the whole two days was about was people showing up and just saying
253. 33:48here's where I am in my life here's what I'm trying to accomplish here's what I experimented with with AI here's what
254. 33:54worked here's what didn't the tools very secondary right very secondary and and that's the that's the thing that I think
255. 34:03is worth certifying how do you get in that mindset how do you get in a mindset I mean I talk about this nightly on my
256. 34:11live and but you just said it how do you get in a mindset where when your first instinct when you're presented with a
257. 34:16problem your first instinct is okay I've got to think about this let me go to the Whiteboard and and you have to actually
258. 34:23tell yourself no I don't have to think about this I don't have to go to the Whiteboard I can just go to chat GPT and
259. 34:29ask it and let it help me brainstorm and and it's a completely different way of working that's AI Readiness and it is
260. 34:38not an overnight thing it is very much you know as you kind of play and absorb what these tools can do and what they
261. 34:44mean for you personally about what you want to express in the world or the work you want to do yeah you absolutely you
262. 34:52are first all this other stuff is second so that's that's what this certification is really about and that's why I think
263. 34:59I'm so excited about it I can tell we can tell everybody can tell we are we are like beside ourselves right now um
264. 35:07so so that's another thing like it's not it's kind of a an offshoot of we're whole humans but like it's not boring
265. 35:16like there's this one that I signed up for where it was like like they were like promoting that it's like 57 modules
266. 35:24and I'm like shoot me now there's no way and we all know people don't finish their you know on demand their their you know uh
267. 35:36self-guided uh courses because they like the interest level just Fizzles right we come in hot we're super excited and then
268. 35:44over time we're like I got other stuff to do right so it's gonna move right along just like people told us like with
269. 35:52so many people who were there for every single session I know we we signed up for this you guys didn't have to do that
270. 36:02um we encouraged it but but we had a lot of people stay for the whole thing I want to read what Michelle myy Silva
271. 36:07just said she goes I so miss that bro marketing mindset said no one ever you can make money with ch oh my God Michelle you know what so
272. 36:23when I launched my company I had this amazing branding expert who told me even though this feels yucky you have to know
273. 36:32who the villain is you have to know who you are not right and and the the easy culprits for me were the tech Bros
274. 36:42because I was like I relate to them absolutely zero I don't even want to be in the same like industry with them how
275. 36:50can i s how can I be exactly opposite oh I know showing up as my whole human self and giving and giving and giving just
276. 36:57like Kyle like Kyle not to you know gas you up or anything like that but Kyle is one of my mentors and I learned from him
277. 37:05immediately give give give give give give give Because by the way information and that's like what the
278. 37:13tech Bros offer right like information we all need it but it's also available everywhere because of AI y if you need
279. 37:20information about AI you can ask AI right what it's really about and Kyle I want you to talk about the um what it's
280. 37:27really really about are the things that make us different from other people in the a AI era which is you talk about
281. 37:35like taste and authenticity can you talk about that part yeah so so one of the speakers that we had at
282. 37:46the AI Salon was a guy named PJ lockran I used to work with him back in agency.com and he he's he started an
283. 37:52agency he's an entrepreneur he started lots of successful companies and he started an agency and he decided to to switch it to all
284. 37:59AI um and in switching it to all AI he didn't need as many people and he let go of his copywriter and gave copywriting
285. 38:09duties to the account person so if if you know anything about um agency life like that generally doesn't happen right
286. 38:16account people are the relationship people and the strategy people and copywriters are copywriters it's very tactical and it's very
287. 38:23specialized and the account person um was very reticent at first and I saidwell you know how's she liking it
288. 38:30now and he said she absolutely loves it and I said I said can you tell me why you let go of the copywriter and not the
289. 38:38account person or why yeah why you let go of the copywriter and not the account person like what was the choice and he
290. 38:43had an instant answer he said oh that's easy he goes the account person had taste the account person he knew that
291. 38:53the skills could be handled by AI to some degree but he knew that the account person wouldn't let crap go out the door
292. 39:01right she she had she had a point of view she had a creative point of view like he valued her Humanity right it wasn't about the
293. 39:10Tactical skills and this is the shift that I think we're all in the middle of is that in in current Society we value specialization and we
294. 39:20value skills and we value education not that education is not important but what we pay more for are Specialists that can
295. 39:27do tactical execution what we pay less for are generalists because they're generalists and maybe they can't dive as
296. 39:34deep on something that iceberg is about to flip upside down where the AI is going to get get good better and better
297. 39:42and better at tactical execution and what we're going to need are people I just wrote an article on LinkedIn do you
298. 39:48know who your Rick Rubin are um we're going to need people like Rick Rubin who might not be able to write songs might
299. 39:54not be able to sing might not even be able to work the the mixing console but he creates Grammy award-winning songs
300. 40:01and how does he do that he knows what he likes and what he doesn't and he's willing to say I like this and I don't
301. 40:08like that and that's kind of the role that we all get to step into we get to become the creative director we get to
302. 40:15become the producer we get to become the the conductor of the orchestra um and and that's just a very
303. 40:22different mindset from our current work environment and and so being AI ready I think is understanding that flip and
304. 40:29what does that mean for you personally right maybe you are someone who can dive deep on something but can you now start
305. 40:35to expand out and understand the bigger picture that's going to be super valuable so is that what you wanted me
306. 40:40to hit on yes exactly so like and and the other component of like showing demonstrating through this credential
307. 40:50that you are part of other people's Gatherings and community and being able to work together and like you've got
308. 40:59that that's almost a credential unto itself can I share something about that yes please the one of the things that we we
309. 41:10recognized very early in the AI Salon I think you and I have talked a lot about this an is when people initially joined
310. 41:16the AI Salon there was a lot of apologizing so much there a lot right there was a lot of people like well I
311. 41:24just know this little thing over there and they kind of apologized for the thing they knew because they didn't know
312. 41:30all the AI stuff right and so they would come in and they apologized and we went we actually went through about a
313. 41:35six-month period where're just like no apologies stop apologizing because people thought that the little thing that they knew wasn't
314. 41:44valuable because to them it was obvious and what we learned in the salon was that every time someone shared their
315. 41:51little obvious nugget that they often apologized for three or four other people in the conversation was would be
316. 41:57like oh my God that's revelatory I never would have thought of it like that the power of community is that you've got so
317. 42:04many people looking at AI through different lenses that's how you get your education because you never would have
318. 42:11looked at it like someone who's a landscaper looked at it because you're not that right and and they will teach
319. 42:17you something that you will then be able to apply to what you want to do that that's just you know Earth shattering
320. 42:23so um people are wanting to know okay so here's here's a couple little factoids about it here's how it's going to work okay and keep in mind
321. 42:38again we're four days out five days out from Festivus and the first day was just sleeping yeah so we are still noodling
322. 42:48on this and we've got backup support from people who know how to like get things across the Finish Line Vicky
323. 42:56Baptist is on board with this project helping make sure that everything is organized properly and it's going to be
324. 43:02a good user experience for everybody so that you can all be successful here's the game plan we're going to carefully curate the workshops
325. 43:14into a couple of different big topics track for example oh go ahead no just tracks tracks right so think of it as a
326. 43:24track like when you go to a conference and it's like I want be in this track but it's not going to be beginner
327. 43:30Advanced whatever because there is none of that right everybody is learn in this adventure together we're all learning
328. 43:36how to learn that's what matters not where you are it's where you came in and where you're going to go so there going
329. 43:41to be tracks for example AI in business you know AI in creativity other uses of a AI General AI General and that and AI General looks
330. 43:56like security and policy and and you know some of the more like how to large language models work things like that so
331. 44:03we're going to have those three different tracks is the initial thing um is is is the initial plan based on the
332. 44:10speakers based on workshops yeah and then um we'll have quizzes and like some quiet time project for you in between
333. 44:22something and then um we'll have we we're playing with the level of interaction that will'll provide for the people who purchase this like
334. 44:34particularly in the beginning we're going to think about we're start we're figuring that out that's a little bit of
335. 44:39a TBD we got to figure that out but um then yeah and you'll progress through it so like a lot of the Learning
336. 44:47Management Systems it'll be like you know you take one or two workshops then you take a quiz you got to pass it to go
337. 44:56to the next one it'll depend on which learning management system we're all Study Buddies Reginald exactly it sages
338. 45:05stages of motherhood said we are so early it's Schoolhouse learning I love that it's Schoolhouse learning we're all
339. 45:11in the one room Schoolhouse it's just a very it's it's a big school house it's a big Schoolhouse and pretty soon we're
340. 45:18gonna need a bigger one and that's the point of it exactly right we really want to graduate a whole big cohort of people
341. 45:27who are able to go out here and say not only do I know what I know what I'm talking about I also am affiliated with
342. 45:36other human beings and I have this certification to prove it right and what we're kind of certifying is the
343. 45:44following things the the previous things but and it comes from the place of we're not like the all knowing you know omniscient AI
344. 45:55like judges of people and what they're good at and what they're not but we have been around for a while now I've taught
345. 46:044,000 people how to use Ai and I've seen what works and what doesn't we've tried a whole bunch of different approaches
346. 46:10Kyle is I don't know millions of hours on LinkedIn on a Tik Tok um thousand yeah it's a lot um and running
347. 46:20communities seeing what works seeing people's setbacks and so we have this like bird's eye perspective and are
348. 46:30certifying from the place of trusted communities right we've got a few thousand people in our joint communities
349. 46:37who are you know successful and thriving and happy to be engaged and this will be another way for you to engage more
350. 46:46deeply with them yeah there's a there's a question from wed ELC I think you pronounce it is there going to be
351. 46:51ongoing support after completing the certification such as forums mentorship continuous learning opportunity
352. 46:58I don't know right now the next thing is let's get the certification in place what I can tell you is this the she
353. 47:04leads AI community and the AI Salon Community have a lot of that stuff in it already Yes get involved in the
354. 47:14communities there are remarkably generous people in both of these communities that what what's what's incredible about these communities is
355. 47:24when new people come in they aren't judged they're welcomed right you know how some communities they get to a certain level and then they're
356. 47:34like well if you're not at this level then you're not in this community that's not who these are so what ends up
357. 47:39happening is people come into the community they're like H I don't know what I'm doing and they get welcomed in and if you
358. 47:46participate if you show up and you say hey I'm just learning how to do this and I tried this and it didn't work does
359. 47:52anybody have a tip someone will give you a tip and in doing that you're providing other people opportunities for
360. 47:58leadership and teaching you're learning and you're building the community so a lot of what you're asking for already
361. 48:05exists it's not formal right but but for right now our next priority is to get the certification right so that it's
362. 48:13valuable and useful and it's something you can put on your LinkedIn and feel proud of right that this is something
363. 48:21that has got the the that really represents these two communities well and really represents what we as of
364. 48:30right now know is the most important thing to learn right that's that's what this is about so that's our priority
365. 48:35right now but great question that's our priority and a piece of that are is um that we will maintain the value of your
366. 48:46certification that's what's useful particularly useful about having a certification from communities rather
367. 48:53than just like one human being thought leader is that through all of you being the rising tide that lifts all boats
368. 49:01every person that goes through this certification and puts their badge out there for everyone to see raises the
369. 49:08value of the certification right you're all out there as representatives of this uh you know of this program and the
370. 49:16value as a result just keeps rising and rising and Rising The credibility is there that's another thing that I wanted
371. 49:22to mention as a as a um as a differentiation so we'll have the modules we'll have the modules uh grouped into tracks there
372. 49:32will be quizzes little bit of self-work we're gonna our priority is to get it launched like that is Task number one
373. 49:40two and three um we are the target there is February 1 yeah February 1 and um uh two things I will add on that one is oh
374. 49:53the community component it may be completely met those needs may be met by our existing communities we will evaluate that I
375. 50:02actually have a really smart person coming in to do an audit of my community to figure out um like what's the very
376. 50:10best way to support everyone so we're like taking the deepest of Dives to make sure that what we're offering is what
377. 50:18you all need um why don't I talk about how how everybody can get sign up without without paying any money okay um
378. 50:32let me why don't you chat for a sec while I get the get the landing page all right let me look at some I Shaina said
379. 50:38something that was when I said the communities aren't aren't judgmental when you're new shanea said I'm super
380. 50:44judgy I just don't act on it I love that I'm totally judgy there I'm right there with you to I'm totally a judger
381. 50:51but we're not judging like you're not as good as right it this is this is a community that you can come in at any
382. 50:58level and just say here's the level I'm at and find your people that's one of the things that we heard over and over
383. 51:05and over during festiv us was comments that were essentially I've found my people here's the deal we are so early in AI as much as
384. 51:17it's been hyped up and everyone talks about the hype cycle we are so early just a few months ago 47% of Americans
385. 51:25hadn't even heard of chat GPT so if you're one of those people who you're like I think this AI thing's important
386. 51:31and I think I should learn it but everyone I talk to about it is not into it or they judge me or they tell me they
387. 51:37don't want me talking about it that's what these communities are for these communities are those weirdos like you
388. 51:45we are your weirdos and that's what we heard throughout Festivus was these are my people finally finally finally
389. 51:52finally found people that I can share this with and so the readiness thing is really a way to say okay I'm ready for
390. 52:00this whatever this thing might be okay everybody so here is the landing page which just like everything we do is
391. 52:10a work in progress um I I I whipped this together at five o'clock this morning so you know trust that it will there will
392. 52:19be more like it will get better and you'll have lots of juicy details but here's where we are right now the most
393. 52:25important thing is is and um Kate's going to drop the um website address into the chat oh there's multiple chats
394. 52:35going on okay indoctrinated if you put it in if you put it in LinkedIn then I will pin it and it'll at least be here

431. 57:43certification um that that will be available if you sign up for the certification so exactly um what about what about what where will people
432. 57:56put these badges how will people what are the various use cases for using the badge or their certification Kyle that's
433. 58:04an excellent question an I'm so glad I have all of the answers right now an I definitely have thought about this in
434. 58:11depth and definitely I am not making anything up right now definitely not I am an expert in the situation of badge management I have no idea
435. 58:24um but but I think listen here's to to to take it down a serious Notch one of the things that we talked about from day
436. 58:33one of the salon is that we want your participation in the salon to mean something and fairly early on
437. 58:42people that were saying they were part of the AI Salon were getting jobs and they were getting noticed and they were
438. 58:48you know being asked to be part of AI committees in their in their community so that started happening early on
439. 58:56we want this certification to mean something and I think you said it before an that if you've got ideas for how we
440. 59:03should use these certifications let us know we'll build those components in maybe we want a little graphic maybe you
441. 59:09know yes badges you know they're good badges um part of this is exactly what you said an that if you post this and
442. 59:17this is you know vetted by these two communities that gives you some shine but you posting it also gives the
443. 59:23community some shine right this is a virtuous circle um and so um so I don't have any tactical answers right now about Badges
444. 59:31and badge management but but share any ideas you have with us in fact one of the things that we might want to do an
445. 59:38since we're in this early stage is on our signup form maybe just put a thing if you have any ideas about the
446. 59:44certification or badges or something like that if people have ideas maybe we throw that in the uh in the sign up form
447. 59:49in a day or two I know yeah as we go yes absolutely and also I wanted to say that a couple of places where I would put the
448. 1:00:00badge if it were me um or the certification U I'm just going to I'm just going to list so this is now you
449. 1:00:09know going forward part of your personal and professional brand so you're going to use it in all the places where you can
450. 1:00:18um um highlight your expertise so for example if you're a LinkedIn user which I highly recommend you are are um if
451. 1:00:28you're a LinkedIn user in the very top after under your name you can list you know like three or four things what you
452. 1:00:35would want to put because every time you leave a comment on LinkedIn the people see the first four or five words no so
453. 1:00:42you could you could put AI Readiness certified right or I help people because I'm AI Readiness certified you know
454. 1:00:51people want to know what to what the heck to do with you so that's great that's an example so you could use it
455. 1:00:58there you can use it on all of your social media you can use it on your resume you can use it when you are
456. 1:01:03talking to people when you give if you when you give talks because you'll be highly qualified to give talks you put
457. 1:01:09it on your slides um you put it everywhere you can because this is one of the things that's going to differentiate you and eventually
458. 1:01:18somebody's going to say where is this certification from and then you're going to get to tell them right good news it's
459. 1:01:25a legit certification it's based on you know a few thousand people you know the learnings that Kyle and an have had from
460. 1:01:33and our communities have had you know over the past what since November 22nd 2022 yep um so I would be like super
461. 1:01:44loud and proud about it but I'm also very I'm also very very like that because I think that it's important in
462. 1:01:51this day and age that we not be shy about our qualifications there going to be a lot of people rolling in saying
463. 1:01:59they're all that and a bag of chips when it comes to AI stuff and that's gonna be pretty flimsy yep um the the
464. 1:02:10um what was I gonna say I just lost my train of thought uh uh um thank you one of one of the one of the things we're going to do within the
465. 1:02:22AI Salon is um we've we've talked about badges for for a while now um but this will become a badge within the AI salon
466. 1:02:32so as a member in the AI Salon if you do the certification that'll show up as a badge there um gonna say it'll come back to
467. 1:02:41me I love Eric I had I had to pull off the road so I could sign up I'm GL I'm glad you pulled off the road but that's
468. 1:02:49amazing thank you you guys you guys okay um let's see so uh we will be talking about this a lot on social media for the next
