1:43 announcement more than anything if you
1:45 haven't played with chat GPT I strongly
1:47 strongly encourage it so chat.openai.com
1:50 that's the official chatgpt website
1:52 bing.com is Microsoft search engine but
1:55 if you click on the chat button that's
1:57 also chatgpt and it's gpt4 for free four
2:01 for free connected to the internet and
2:04 then poe.com is also like chat gbt but
2:08 you can play with six different large
2:10 language models there one from them two
2:13 from open Ai and three from anthropic so
2:16 that's pretty cool the uh the fancy ones
2:19 you got to pay for but I don't make any
2:21 money off all these so don't get your
2:23 panties in a bunch
2:25 um what else prompts dot chat that is
2:29 just a document called awesome chat GPT
2:32 prompts that'll give you a primer on
2:34 prompting and give you a whole bunch of
2:36 ideas of things you can tell chat gbt to
2:40 do how you can tell it to behave
2:43 um like you can tell it to act like a
2:45 mathematician or a poet or a
2:47 screenwriter or a business coach and
2:50 that'll probably that'll help you with
2:51 that and then futurepedia.io that's a
2:54 directory of lots and lots of AI tools
2:58 um
2:59 like almost 4 000 of them at this point
3:02 so if you want to geek out on what can
3:05 you do with AI there's a bunch of them
3:07 there now fair warning of the 4 000 that
3:11 you'll find there
3:12 380 of them were just total pieces of
3:15 [ __ ] so but
3:17 the good ones are in there too so if you
3:20 have any uh thoughts or questions about
3:22 AI pop them in the comments below I will

3:28 things came out today mid Journey 5.2 is
3:31 out stable diffusion XL 0.9 is out
3:37 um what else happened McKenzie put out a
3:39 report today that says this AI stuff's
3:42 gonna be big
3:44 so it's it's not just idiots like me
3:46 talking about it it's also McKenzie
3:49 idiots like MacKenzie talking about it

4:00 um Sim racing and replaced it with going
4:02 live on Tick Tock because I know how to

4:25 um so this if you have not played with
4:27 chat gbt this is chat gbt
4:30 um down the left hand side is your chat
4:32 history or your prompting history and
4:35 then over here on the right are is the
4:37 window and it's it's just simple like
4:40 kind of like a uh whatever you call it
4:42 like a Google search window so I can
4:44 type in here I'll do what I call a
4:47 parlor trick just something stupid right
4:49 me a an M N M rap about uh quantum
4:57 mechanics
4:59 boom and it will write all that
5:04 quickly
5:06 so if you've never played with chat GPT
5:08 go to chat.openai.com and just start
5:11 playing and and we can dig deeper in
5:13 what it can do the other thing that you
5:15 can do here is if you pay for chat EPT
5:18 plus that little yellow thing there
5:21 you get access to
5:24 um uh gpt4 chat gpt4 and and also gpt4
5:29 connected to the internet and also these
5:31 things called plugins which are really
5:33 kind of interesting and fun so I can dig
5:35 into those
5:36 um bing.com that's another thing that I
5:38 talk about when you go to bing.com
5:40 that's Microsoft search engine but at
5:42 the top of the window here there's this
5:44 button that says chat and if you click
5:46 on that
5:47 it will take you into a chat GPT window
5:50 and this is chat gbt4
5:54 and you can put it in balanced mode
5:56 creative mode or precise mode and those
5:59 are what they sound like
6:01 um it's also connected to the internet
6:03 so if you want to search for
6:06 um is it going to hail
6:09 again tonight in Denver which
6:15 traditional chat GPT will not understand
6:17 but being connected to the internet will
6:22 and so it's going off and asking the uh
6:26 the weather Services what the hell's
6:29 going on it was so stormy here last
6:31 night it was crazy bad it was nuts it
6:33 was nuts I tell you
6:35 according to the Pinpoint weather team
6:37 there's a risk for severe weather
6:39 starting around 2 p.m continuing through
6:41 the evening before moving on to the
6:43 plains
6:44 there is this includes the potential for
6:46 large hail yeah they said baseball sized
6:48 hail which if you're caught in that
6:49 you're essentially not in good shape
6:52 okay then the other site I send you to
6:55 is popo.com so if you go to poe.com
6:57 similarly it's you know chat GPT at the
7:00 bottom here but there's all these
7:01 different models you can play with sage
7:03 is their model then there's gpt4 Cloud
7:06 plus Cloud instant 100K that's a big
7:09 deal those three are you have to pay for
7:12 those and then there's clot instant
7:14 which is wicked fast and there's regular
7:15 chat GPT Claude instant 100K what that
7:19 100K means is this is a uh chat bot
7:22 that's got a 100 000 token or about a 75
7:26 000 word context window meaning you
7:29 could paste in an entire novel into your
7:32 prompt and start asking questions about
7:34 it I did it with screenplays the other
7:36 day
7:36 um the other thing about Poe is that you
7:38 can
7:39 um use other people's Bots and you can
7:41 even make your own bot they have this
7:43 create bot button and you can do some
7:46 creative prompting like I created one
7:48 called I am Shakespeare so if you go to
7:50 poe.com I am Shakespeare
7:53 um there's lots of stuff there so anyway
7:55 that's uh that's some of the stuff that
7:58 that we can talk about we can talk about
8:01 any questions you might have

9:30 how I do it I really do try to answer

9:36 let's see what could I use AI chat GPT
9:39 for mostly I see it used as
9:41 entertainment that's a great Point Chris
9:44 and it is I actually find it kind of
9:48 intimidating
9:49 uh myself I've been I've been uh I sort
9:53 of drank the Kool-Aid early with this
9:54 chat gbt thing like when it came out in
9:56 November
9:57 um I had a big Epiphany in December like
10:00 two or three weeks in and a lot of times
10:02 I'll go to chat CPT and I just stare at
10:05 the screen and I'm like what do I well I
10:08 actually deal with this thing
10:10 um
10:12 initially I think it's actually
10:14 important to just start playing so just
10:17 do dumb [ __ ] with it
10:20 um and and it's good to understand the
10:23 kinds of things it can do so so let me
10:25 let me pop over and let me do a little
10:28 playing that that might be
10:32 um might give you some ideas
10:33 um but also like this is the kind of
10:35 thing that I would do if you're just if
10:36 you're just starting out with it
10:39 um
10:40 let me pop over I'm going to go to the
10:42 official chat gbt site we're just going
10:44 to be playing with
10:46 um GPT 3.5 I won't even do GPT 4. so GPT
10:51 3.5 is the free version
10:54 um so I the earlier I had it write an
10:57 Eminem poem so you can have you can have
10:59 it right poems uh we could we could do
11:01 um write a country song
11:04 um song about or a country dong we could
11:09 have it right at Country dong have it
11:10 write a country song about my pickup
11:13 truck
11:16 breaking
11:18 down
11:20 and
11:23 and uh let's see it's starting to rain
11:28 right so so you can do that
11:31 um and it will very very quickly write
11:33 you a song it understands it understands
11:35 what songs are it understands things
11:37 like verses and choruses and bridges
11:39 well I hopped in my little pickup truck
11:41 just like any other day cruising down
11:42 the dusty road where the moments lay but
11:44 my heart sank as the engine cuffed and
11:46 smoke filled the air my faithful ride
11:48 she let me down leaving me stranded
11:50 there so a bit of a generic set of uh
11:54 set of Rhymes but they are Rhymes they
11:56 are a song and Chachi PT will give you
12:00 back what you give it so if you give it
12:02 a generic kind of prompt it'll it'll
12:04 respond in kind uh with with generic
12:07 crap
12:08 um but you could also say
12:10 um please add the chords to the song
12:17 and it will do that so it's a country
12:20 song so it made it you know it made it
12:22 your classic three chord three three
12:25 chords in a and a guitar uh gcd there
12:29 you go you know and it it uh it actually
12:31 does the bridge you put it in the bridge
12:33 it starts in E Minor so it's you know
12:35 it's a good solid good solid songwriting
12:37 structure
12:38 um what else can you do chat EPT can
12:41 also code so if if you're wanting to get
12:43 into technical stuff I could say
12:46 um write me a python application
12:51 that um
12:54 generates uh country songs uh
13:00 uh and uh makes a PDF I assume that's
13:05 possible
13:07 it knows how to code so boom there's the
13:11 code well it's writing the code and it
13:13 explains the code so certainly here's a
13:15 python code that generates a random
13:17 country song lyrics about the using the
13:20 faker library and generates PDF file
13:23 using the report lab library right and
13:25 it writes the code and then you can do
13:27 things like go off to replet or whatever
13:29 and make that make that happen I could
13:32 also say create
13:35 create a table that compares
13:40 um country music
13:43 with two other genres
13:48 and
13:50 it will make you a table comparing you
13:53 know two different genres what did it
13:54 pick here pick country music rock and
13:56 Hip-Hop what are the origins what's the
13:59 musical style what's the instrumentation
14:00 what are the lyrics what's the vocal
14:02 style right
14:04 so so these are what I call parlor
14:07 tricks and this is the this is kind of
14:10 reinforces what you're saying oh people
14:12 just play with it they're just using it
14:13 as a toy what what I've found is that
14:16 the the way to
14:19 get out of the the intimidation of it
14:22 can do anything
14:23 is pick a specific problem in your life
14:26 and think of chat GPT less as like a
14:29 search engine where you have to figure
14:31 something out to do with it and more
14:33 like a collaborative partner that can
14:36 um work with you to solve a problem so
14:38 it might be
14:41 um
14:41 on a personal level you want to eat
14:43 better so so have it come up with a meal
14:45 plan for you with a particular kind of
14:47 diet or have it recommended you know a
14:50 particular kind of diet plan then have
14:51 it come up with a meal plan for you then
14:53 have it give you the ingredients that
14:55 you need to buy for your meal plan then
14:57 it have it organize those ingredients
14:59 into a shopping list organized by
15:01 section of the grocery store right so
15:04 um pick a specific problem and then have
15:07 chat EPT like like work with chat CPT to
15:09 solve it it could be maybe at your work
15:13 I don't know every everyone's trying to
15:15 get more business
15:16 um and and you you don't have a
15:19 marketing team so say hey can you help
15:23 me market my pizza shop and and start
15:27 asking it questions as if it were a
15:28 business consultant and it will start
15:30 happening it will start helping it'll
15:32 start going back and forth so pick a
15:34 specific problem in your life and then
15:36 start asking chat gbt about it the other
15:39 way you can use it is as a teacher right
15:41 so if you want to learn something it's
15:43 really good at lots of things so you can
15:46 say hey I want you to act like an expert
15:49 in topic X and I don't know anything
15:53 about it and I want you over the next
15:56 you know 15 minutes to teach me
15:58 everything you think I need to know to
16:00 get started in this and it will do that
16:02 and you can start interacting with it so
16:05 so that's where I'd start uh and then
16:07 you know at some point in there you will
16:10 probably have sort of a Kevin McAllister
16:13 moment from home alone like I didn't
16:16 know could do that
16:17 uh and then and then you're kind of Off
16:20 to the Races so so that's where I would
16:21 uh that's right I'd suggest starting
16:24 all right what productive activities I
16:28 think we just talked about that I worry
16:29 when you're not here at nfomo thank you

16:35 converse exactly exactly if you tease my
16:38 little buddy we just hang out we have a
16:41 little back and forth
16:43 that was the big breakthrough for me
16:44 with chat GPT is that it really is more
16:48 like little buddy it's your little buddy
16:50 it's your little co-pilot you know you
16:53 you think of something you want to do
16:54 and you're like hey chat GPT you think
16:56 you might be able to help with this oh
16:57 sure it's very polite I find myself
16:59 saying please and thank you to chat GPT
17:03 um welcome everybody if you're new here
17:04 my name is Kyle Shannon this is the AI
17:06 learning lab uh I'll answer questions
17:08 about AI uh my background I'm an
17:11 entrepreneur I'm not a machine learning
17:13 specialist I'm not a big data guy
17:16 um I I would say I represent kind of the
17:19 post inflection point
17:21 um of of people using AI right the
17:23 inflection point is November 30th 2022
17:26 was the day that chat GPT was launched
17:29 into the world
17:31 and it's got very similar parallels to
17:34 the early days of the World Wide Web so
17:36 in the early days of the web the the
17:38 internet had been around for decades but
17:40 it was mostly the purview of scientists
17:43 and researchers and universities and
17:44 things like that and then Tim
17:46 berners-lee comes up with this thing
17:47 called the World Wide Web which makes it
17:49 like all you have to do is click on
17:51 stuff click you don't have to use
17:53 command line interfaces
17:55 and it completely transforms the way we
17:57 communicate I was I was uh I started one
18:00 of the early digital agencies in the mid
18:01 90s so I was there for the early days of
18:04 that had these kind of
18:06 wild epiphanies that holy [ __ ] this web
18:09 thing changes everything right I have a
18:12 degree in acting right so I didn't know
18:13 anything about the internet but I
18:14 started one of the early digital
18:16 agencies
18:17 uh generative AI right now is going
18:20 through a very similar transformation
18:21 where machine learning and neural
18:24 networks and generative ai's been around
18:26 for decades
18:28 and all of a sudden in the past few
18:30 years you start hearing about
18:31 mid-journey and stable diffusion these
18:33 image generation tools and then chat GPT
18:36 comes out and all of a sudden
18:38 Chachi PT goes from zero to 100 million
18:41 users in six weeks six weeks is the
18:45 fastest adoption of technology and
18:47 history
18:48 by comparison the World Wide Web took
18:52 um six years to get to 100 million
18:55 people so so and we know you know we
18:58 know how impactful the World Wide Web
19:00 was so so anyway that's who I am that's
19:02 what I do that's where you are welcome

19:06 um because looking for AI tools nervous
19:08 about
19:09 wait about what to get their existing
19:12 software platforms will have it I don't
19:14 quite know what that means cavuno but
19:17 happy to chat about it if I know what
19:21 you're talking about
19:22 um baseball sized hail yeah if if it
19:24 comes that's bad there's there's all
19:27 sorts of if you if you want go on Tick
19:29 Tock and search for
19:31 um Red Rocks hail from last night there
19:34 was a concert going on at Red Rocks
19:36 Amphitheater and it just started it's
19:39 not funny because a lot of people got
19:40 hurt but it started hailing and it was
19:42 like a waterfall rushing down
19:45 um Red Rocks it was crazy and then it
19:48 lightning was was it was crazy it was
19:52 crazy I tell you crazy I tell you
19:56 um
19:57 don't ask for a full so so
20:00 uh Colleen's path I use proper please
20:03 thank you Etc don't ask for a full ebook
20:06 though although if you want to see
20:09 something cool I I played with this
20:11 today there's a GitHub project right now
20:14 called GPT author
20:17 and you have to run it in Google collab
20:20 so you have to be a little geeky to run
20:22 it but if you're a little geeky go look
20:24 up the project GPT author
20:27 you give it basically a topic of the
20:30 book a genre of the book and then you
20:33 give it a writing style
20:35 and it will just go through and
20:37 automatically generate an outline for
20:39 the book you tell it how many chapters
20:41 you want
20:42 it uses stable diffusion to create a
20:44 cover image it gives it a title it
20:48 creates an outline and then it writes
20:50 all of the chapters so it it basically
20:53 just sits there and cranks through
20:55 writing a book
20:57 I wrote two books today using GPT author
21:00 so so
21:02 um and and GPT author is a good example
21:05 there's a thing out there called
21:06 autonomous agents and where you kind of
21:08 give it a goal and then it goes and
21:10 executes on that goal GPT authors a good
21:13 example of a very specialized autonomous
21:16 agent that will write you a full ebook
21:18 it's it's a novel right it's designed to
21:20 write fiction but still you could go in
21:22 and you could modify the prompts that
21:24 they wrote in that thing and uh and have
21:26 it write anything business books
21:27 whatever
21:29 um this is the pro version I didn't know
21:31 um of chat gbt so the the the pro
21:35 version of chatgpt gives you
21:38 access to gpt4 and to plugins
21:43 so and I don't they call it plus not pro
21:46 I assume at some point they're going to
21:48 have Pro so see where it says gpt4 here
21:50 that's because I have uh plus and then
21:53 I've got browse with the internet and
21:55 I've also got plugins
21:57 um I'll show you a fun plug-in so this
21:59 is a plug-in that I use called ask your
22:01 PDF which you can just give it a URL of
22:05 a PDF and start interacting with that
22:07 that's pretty slick
22:08 but there's someone on on my live the
22:11 other night showed me this one which is
22:13 just wild do I have it in here
22:16 I think I do hold stories okay so
22:19 there's a plugin called stories so I'm
22:22 using gpt4 with plugins I chose the
22:25 plugins stories you can choose up to
22:28 three plugins to activate in any given
22:31 session
22:33 but stories is going to write us a
22:34 children's book so I'm going to say
22:36 write me a book about a chubby
22:41 black and white dog named champ yes I
22:47 have a chubby black and white dog named
22:48 champ let's see who has Adventures
22:53 um with
22:55 a very smart crow
22:58 because crows are wicked smart let's see
23:02 who has adventures with a very smart
23:03 crow so hit return
23:05 and now that should fire off the plug-in
23:07 so we should see it so it says using
23:09 stories so fired off the plug-in and now
23:12 you can actually open these plugins up
23:14 and see what they're doing so basically
23:16 what this did was set my prompt off to
23:20 this website
23:21 and it sent back a little blurb and it
23:24 said here's the book you requested
23:26 Champion the crow join champ a chubby
23:29 black and white dog and his smart and
23:32 his smart friend a crow as they go on
23:33 adventures together and then it gives
23:35 you the URL of the book
23:38 and if I go over to the URL of the book
23:41 there's champ
23:45 um champ and the crow so not the most
23:48 original title
23:51 um
23:51 and I don't see a crow yet there's the
23:53 crow eventually
23:55 it begins to speak to Champ it doesn't
23:57 quite get the champ was a dog but anyway
23:59 it's writing the book and generating the
24:02 images for it so with a little tweaking
24:03 you could do that but this is the this
24:05 is the idea of these plugins is that you
24:07 start in catch EBT and with these
24:09 plugins they can extend it out to other
24:11 sites so
24:13 um really interesting use of a plug-in
24:16 to basically use it as a as a
24:20 as a traffic driver for a website right
24:23 so right now we have SEO search engine
24:25 optimization we'll probably start to see
24:28 things like large language model
24:30 optimization or like you know plug-in
24:33 Optimizer so that kind of stuff's coming
24:36 all right
24:38 um let me flip this back around and get

24:43 have your green screen you don't just
24:45 want to see my damn shelves
24:48 that's no fun for anyone

25:34 um someone described in here once they
25:36 said the PO app is like the play school
25:39 version of chat EBT which I don't
25:41 disagree with
25:42 it's got It's got kind of a simplistic
25:45 um
25:46 it's got a simplistic interface but the
25:48 fact that it lets you create Bots is
25:51 really interesting you can make public
25:52 box that you can share with people which
25:54 lets you practice your prompt crafting
25:56 you can also use other people's Bots
25:58 which cert which can inspire you know oh
26:01 I didn't know it could do that it could
26:02 inspire you and then it also has access
26:04 to some things that that you don't have
26:06 anywhere else so let me let me pop back
26:08 over there and I'll show you why I think
26:10 I think Poe is worth it
26:14 all right so let's go to Poe
26:17 so you've got sages their model which is
26:19 it's just kind of like chat EBT 3.5 in
26:22 my opinion there's nothing as good right
26:24 now as as chat gpt4
26:28 um at Poe you can get access to gpt4 you
26:31 can get access to Claude plus which is
26:32 anthropic's version of gpt4 but you can
26:36 also get access to this thing called
26:37 Claude instant 100K so I'm going to go
26:39 there
26:40 do I have my yeah so
26:43 so
26:45 what what 100K means is that it's got a
26:48 hundred thousand token context window
26:50 meaning you can put up to 75 000 words
26:54 you know in the prompt window and then
26:56 start talking against it or you know
26:58 sixty thousand plus the response but so
27:02 so one of the things I did is I went on
27:03 out on the internet and I found the
27:05 screenplay for 2001 A Space Odyssey and
27:08 I just pasted it in here so you could
27:10 paste in an entire screenplay or a novel
27:13 or a huge document and then just start
27:15 interacting with it so I said who are
27:17 the main characters and what happens to
27:19 them Dave Bowman he's an astronaut on
27:21 the Discovery Mission Frank pool is his
27:24 crewmate the computer HAL 9000 starts
27:26 malfect functioning and predicts
27:28 failures of equipment that turn out to
27:30 be fine right so it understands the plot
27:33 it understands who the main characters
27:34 are
27:36 um what are some interesting lines that
27:37 Hal says to Dave and it gives us some
27:39 some quotes from the from the screenplay
27:41 so so that for me is really really
27:45 interesting and then you have this idea
27:47 of these Bots like I wrote one called I
27:49 am Shakespeare so poe.com I am
27:52 Shakespeare
27:53 no matter what you ask it it responds as
27:56 if it's writing a play so tell me

28:24 um I wrote a bunch of other ones for
28:26 Steve Jobs and Emily Dickinson and
28:28 things like that so that's kind of cool
28:30 so you can explore other people's Bots
28:32 if you go to explore Bots or you can say
28:35 create your own bot and then you
28:38 basically just name it give it a
28:39 description and write a prompt for it
28:41 and then it will start acting like a bot
28:43 that you can then share with other
28:45 people so that's why I think pose worth
28:47 it um
28:50 I don't use this as my primary tool but
28:53 when I need to do things like really
28:56 quickly just parse a big document I just
28:59 pop it in there and you can also do that
29:02 with some of the plugins in chatgpt so
29:04 it's not totally necessary but
29:07 because things are moving so fast and
29:10 and because
29:12 um Poe gives you access to multiple
29:14 models it's really good to be able to
29:15 just kind of experiment and play if
29:17 you're if you're an exploratory type
29:20 personality
29:22 um
29:23 like I am or as they call it ADHD
29:27 um it's good to have some options
29:30 um I need to write some marketing copy
29:32 for my vacation rental use chat gbt yes
29:35 absolutely and and one of the things you
29:37 can do one of the one of the things that
29:39 actually helps it doesn't seem like it
29:41 should but it does
29:42 tell it to act like a marketing expert
29:45 who specializes in vacation rental
29:48 property marketing and then start
29:51 interacting with it tell it about your
29:53 property tell it about your goals tell
29:55 it about if you have a budget or don't
29:58 have a budget and what are some
29:59 strategies and then it'll give you
30:01 strategies you can tell it to give you a
30:03 plan it'll come up with the plan then
30:05 you can even do tactical things like
30:07 give me a dozen
30:10 you know compelling social media
30:12 taglines and it will do that
30:14 um so so that's the perfect kind of
30:17 problem to have chat GPT solve start
30:19 interacting with it like it's a
30:21 marketing partner and it will start
30:23 acting like a marketing partner and it's
30:25 it's funny
30:26 if you treat chat like a generic search
30:29 engine it gives you generic [ __ ]
30:31 answers if you start treating it and
30:33 pushing it it's like the harder you push
30:35 it the better it gets
30:38 um what I love about gen AI is that it
30:40 helps non-creatives better articulate
30:42 their Vision to creatives absolutely the
30:46 it's one of the biggest things that so
30:48 I'm I'm a creative I was a chief
30:50 creative officer of an agency start I
30:52 started and I'm a writer but even with
30:54 that
30:55 it allows me to get completely unformed
30:58 ideas out of my head in and in some sort
31:01 of articulated form like
31:03 in seconds in 30 seconds
31:07 um what I find though is it very very
31:09 quickly gets me to 80 of what I have in
31:12 my head and then the the last 20 is
31:15 still back on me I'll sometimes use chat
31:17 EBT to get me out of a creative corner
31:20 here and there but I'm ultimately the
31:22 one editing the final piece but yeah

31:57 grant writer
31:59 and then you can copy in text from the
32:02 grant request and then you can put in
32:06 information you can literally just copy
32:08 and paste information about her
32:10 non-profit from her website or from a
32:12 word doc and say based on this grant
32:15 request or this grant opportunity and
32:17 this non-profit you know give me the
32:19 outline for a grant proposal you know
32:21 for that and it will spew that thing out
32:23 quickly and then you can break it into
32:25 little segments rather than trying to
32:27 get it to do it all in one go break it
32:29 into little segments how you would think
32:31 about writing a grant proposal
32:33 traditionally and just have chat CPT do
32:36 those components and then start copying
32:38 and pasting them into a document and you
32:41 will knock that thing out probably with
32:43 within an hour probably less again
32:46 you'll probably get to like 80 percent
32:49 really really quickly and then you need
32:53 to do the the rest of your uh you know
32:56 editing curating you know figure out
32:58 what's good the other thing you can do
32:59 with chat gbt is
33:01 um if it gives you something shitty tell
33:05 it say no no that was completely generic
33:08 I need something more specific I need I
33:10 need I need you to reference what my
33:13 non-profit does more within the grant
33:15 proposal and it will just it will
33:17 understand that and spit out a revised
33:20 version of it a lot of times
33:22 um I'll give it what I thought were
33:24 clear instructions and and it clearly
33:27 wasn't because it gives me something
33:28 crappy and then the more context you
33:30 give it the better it gets so you can
33:32 really quickly go from a really crappy
33:34 response to a good response just by keep
33:37 going and and keep giving it feedback
33:39 what it didn't get right it will
33:42 occasionally crap the bed and not get it
33:44 right but for the most part it'll get
33:45 there
33:46 I'm a nurse what can chat GPT do that
33:49 would be helpful to care for patients
33:50 that's really good so um so all sorts of
33:54 things
33:55 um you could use it to to
33:58 um help come up with personalized plans
34:01 for patients so hey I've got a patient
34:04 um who doesn't take their pills and
34:08 um resists doing the things I tell them
34:10 to can you help me come up with a plan
34:12 for this week for activities that you
34:15 know
34:16 um like Inspire them to basically get on
34:20 track right
34:21 you could do things like that
34:24 um you could you could ask it questions
34:25 about care or conversations it's
34:28 actually believe it or not it's really
34:30 good at nuanced conversation so you can
34:32 say hey I've got a really tough
34:33 situation with a patient how do I talk
34:35 to them about that and again give it the
34:38 the reason I put this prompts.chat thing
34:41 there is that if you go here it will it
34:45 will teach you that you can teach chat
34:46 GPT to act like a certain uh act like a
34:50 certain thing like act like a nurse
34:52 assistant or something like that hang on
34:54 one second I'll be right back what's up

35:13 you know if if you're stuck on something
35:15 if you're stuck trying to solve a
35:16 problem it can potentially help solve

35:21 a good way to think about chat EBT is
35:24 it's like someone just gave you the
35:27 world's smartest intern so like an
35:30 intern it's not experienced it's not
35:32 it's not really good you have to tell it
35:35 what to do right so think of chat GPT
35:38 more like a co-pilot which is what
35:40 Microsoft calls their chat GPT products
35:42 is co-pilot I think it's really good
35:44 name you're the pilot so you tell it
35:48 here's who I am here's who who here's
35:50 the kind of help I need so here's what I
35:52 want you to act like and then
35:55 um and then just start going back and
35:56 forth with it like a co-pilot like an
35:58 intern and then what you'll find is it's
36:01 the smartest intern in the history of
36:03 interns like it knows everything and why
36:06 does it know everything because the core
36:09 base model of GPT 3.5 and gpt4 and Bard
36:14 and all these big large language models
36:17 have essentially been trained on all of
36:19 the public internet and and open AI in
36:22 particular took
36:24 um finding the best data sources very
36:27 very seriously so they've been
36:28 developing this for the past five years
36:31 so the Transformer model that sits
36:33 underneath chat EPT GPT stands for
36:37 generative pre-trained Transformer
36:39 Transformers the tech that Google built
36:41 in 2017 pre-trained means that they've
36:45 trained this thing on massive data sets
36:47 that's what the Transformer made
36:48 possible
36:49 and Sam Altman said they realized that
36:52 we need high quality data so they
36:54 basically pointed it at all the data
36:56 sources they could find on the public
36:57 internet so Wikipedia and blogs and
37:00 websites and University servers that
37:02 were publicly available and research
37:04 papers and all of the computer code and
37:07 GitHub and just all of these different
37:10 sources so it knows a lot like a
37:13 staggering amount
37:15 um and then so your job is to figure out
37:17 what do you want it to do so start with
37:19 the problem and then have collaborate
37:21 with it to start solving it
37:24 um chat stupid mostly entertainment
37:26 unless you want something to be written
37:28 for you chat yeah it's well it's mostly
37:31 an entertainment until you start using
37:34 it to solve problems and then it's it
37:36 gets very profound very quickly
37:40 medical knowledge chat GPT is not good
37:42 yeah I would agree with that it's so one
37:44 of the things you need to know about
37:46 these large language models is they do
37:47 what's called hallucinate so they will
37:49 confidently lie they will confidently
37:52 tell you something that looks like the
37:54 truth that's not
37:56 um I like to describe it as mansplaining
37:58 as a service like a good man it will
38:01 confidently give you an answer even if
38:03 it's wrong
38:06 um so that's something you need to be
38:07 aware of it doesn't mean you shouldn't
38:09 use it
38:10 um and they're going to be specialized
38:13 um medical large language models that
38:15 are fine-tuned to specific medical
38:18 knowledge in fact the University of
38:20 Florida
38:21 um they're Provost uh the the University
38:24 of Florida was given a uh an AI
38:28 supercomputer by Nvidia
38:31 and they've rolled it out across their
38:34 curriculum so generative AI is or AI is
38:37 a part of all the stuff they teach there
38:40 they took all of the
38:42 um recorded conversations of doctors you
38:45 know recording for medical records when
38:47 they were having interactions with
38:49 patients and they they took all of those
38:51 recordings for like a decade of those
38:53 recordings and built that into a large
38:56 language model so so they have
38:59 um a a medical specific it's like the
39:02 largest fine-tuned large language model
39:04 in the world for specific medical
39:05 conversations so don't mistake the the
39:10 sort of generic large language model
39:14 that is chat CPT with what what what it
39:17 makes possible because what it makes
39:18 possible is quite profound and so there
39:20 there are fine-tuned versions of this
39:22 that are very powerful with medical
39:25 knowledge looks like we have some new

42:02 sitting with my wife this was
42:05 chat EPT came out on November 30th last
42:07 year 2022.
42:09 my wife is watching some shows not
42:11 interested in it and I'm just on my
42:13 laptop I'm playing and I was like oh I
42:15 heard chat you be Deacon program
42:17 and I said write me a python script that
42:20 takes an input and does something with
42:22 it like I just it was just like just a
42:25 dumb like I wanted to see what if it
42:26 could code
42:27 and it writes this python code and then
42:29 it hits me I don't know how to run
42:31 python code like you know I used to do
42:33 you know some HTML program programming
42:36 back in the day but I never learned
42:37 python right
42:38 so I said to chat gbt I don't know how
42:41 to run python code it's like oh we'll
42:43 open your terminal and use this command
42:44 line and install this and I'm like I
42:47 don't want to do command line isn't
42:48 there a website that can do this and it
42:51 said sure here's a bunch of options and
42:52 the first one it gave me was replit
42:54 which is a good python running website
42:58 and it said copy the code paste it in
43:01 the left window hit the Run button and
43:03 it will run your the script I just gave
43:05 you so I copied it pasted it into replit
43:08 hit the Run button and it gave me an
43:10 error and I said it gave me this error
43:12 and it said okay that just means you
43:13 don't have this Library installed I'm
43:15 like okay how do you install that
43:17 Library it said oh in the bottom
43:19 left-hand corner of the screen click on
43:20 this button and then type you know this
43:23 string to search for that library and
43:25 hit the install button within 90 minutes
43:28 I had written a very sophisticated
43:31 python application that functioned
43:34 that took some inputs from someone would
43:36 type about a topic and it wrote five
43:38 pieces of social media content using the
43:41 openai API in 90 minutes never having
43:44 written a line of python
43:46 if you think it's just a a party
43:49 favorite kind of toy it's not it's it's
43:51 significantly powerful
43:54 um GitHub now has a thing called copilot
43:57 they've had it for a while but it's it's
43:58 a programming optimized version of chat
44:01 EBT that
44:04 um that programmers are pair programming
44:06 with this thing it it assists them in
44:08 doing the programming and and the thing
44:11 that I've heard from shops that are
44:12 embracing it is they're seeing 30 to 40
44:15 percent productivity increases across
44:17 their Tech Team
44:18 I'm a surgeon no business Acumen well
44:22 that's that's that's
44:25 uh you can you can use chat GPD to help
44:28 you get the business Acumen it can help
44:30 with bedside manner too if you've got
44:32 issues with that
44:34 um in in fact there was a uh probably
44:36 three weeks ago now there there was uh
44:40 someone did a a little study where they
44:42 had patients interact with chat GPT
44:45 doctors this was like text chat and then
44:48 with real doctors and the patients
44:50 overwhelmingly prepare preferred the
44:53 chat gbt doctor they said they were more
44:55 competent and more empathetic
44:57 and it's one of the things I've noticed
44:59 about chat GPT the way it's programmed
45:01 the way the way they prompted it to
45:03 prompt to respond is it's very kind of
45:06 human and if you ask it even polarizing
45:10 questions it will give you nuanced
45:12 answers and and it's it's actually good
45:14 at at empathy it doesn't feel empathy
45:17 but it's good at you know
45:19 um being empathetic I suppose
45:24 is because the input totally agree with
45:27 that it can be very biased of course it
45:29 can so can humans I don't know have you
45:31 seen America

45:36 wouldn't it be nice if we could not I
45:38 mean it's actually funny
45:39 when when you interact with chat EBT so
45:42 if I if I interact with a human if I say
45:44 certain you know trigger words that are
45:46 political trigger words
45:48 no matter what I say after that someone
45:50 on the other side of the political aisle
45:51 will not hear anything I say they'll
45:53 just hear the trigger and they'll lose
45:54 their [ __ ] mind right
45:56 you can say that trigger word to chat
45:58 GPT and ask it about a sensitive topic
46:01 like whatever's in the news today and it
46:03 will actually give you a nuanced answer
46:06 and it's like when I started
46:08 experiencing that with it I was like oh
46:10 yeah that's what it's like to be human
46:12 like yeah we could actually if we if we
46:14 just you know stopped acting like we
46:16 were on you know opposing football teams
46:19 you know fans for opposing football
46:21 teams when it comes to politics we can
46:23 actually communicate again I think
46:24 there's a very real possibility that
46:26 chat EPT and tools like it are gonna
46:29 assist us in sucking less it

46:37 robots are the path to our Salvation
46:40 that would be swell wouldn't it if we
46:42 sucked less because of the robots

47:04 of things about AI in general AI ain't
47:07 new ai's been around for decades so
47:11 machine learning algorithms have been in
47:13 trading for I don't know decades like
47:17 those those trading folks

47:21 are always exploiting the latest
47:23 technology like they run their own fiber
47:25 optic cables that are you know
47:27 you know one micro second faster than
47:30 the old cable because that one
47:32 microsecond can make the millions so
47:34 they're already using all the AI tools
47:37 what I would say how it's going to
47:39 affect things the generative AI stuff
47:41 the new like touch EBT and things that
47:43 are
47:44 let's say make generative AI accessible
47:47 to the rest of us how that's going to
47:49 trade things is I can go to a trading
47:52 platform I can grab the code from two
47:55 different trading Bots paste them into
47:57 chat GPT and say make me a high like
48:00 explain to me how these Bots work and
48:03 what theories they use now create me a
48:05 hybrid bot that mixes the the those two
48:08 Bots and then put these new rules in it
48:11 and it will create that bot for you
48:12 which you can then take back to your
48:14 trading platform and play so it's going
48:15 to allow you to very very easily take
48:18 Concepts trading Concepts and experiment
48:21 and try new things and create Bots and
48:23 right so
48:27 does is it democratizes knowledge right
48:31 so
48:32 if I didn't know anything about trading
48:34 which I don't
48:36 I could use chat gbt to very quickly
48:38 give me a trading platform where I can
48:41 create my own bot
48:43 teach me how to make the bot write the
48:45 bot for me
48:47 merge it with some other bot there right
48:49 and and actually start doing it like
48:51 within
48:52 I don't know 30 minutes I could be
48:55 trading with a bot probably less than
48:57 that now will it be good probably not
48:59 like am I going to be as good as someone
49:01 who actually knows what they're doing
49:02 with trading no but for me to do that
49:05 historically that would have taken me a
49:07 month if ever right I gotta Google stuff
49:10 and then I gotta go learn programming
49:11 and then I gotta go learn trading
49:15 terms and Analysis like I'm not going to
49:18 do that right so
49:19 um so so the impact on every piece of
49:23 knowledge work and every piece of
49:26 creative
49:28 is going to be profound because it
49:30 democratizes the knowledge it
49:32 democratizes the expertise
49:35 we're still in charge of what we want to
49:37 do with it we're still in charge of
49:40 critical thinking and curating the
49:43 content and refining the content and
49:45 choosing what to publish but it
49:47 democratizes all of the Tactical [ __ ]
49:51 um so I think it's gonna be
49:54 crazy I someone said holy hell I don't
49:56 know I assumed that was to something I
49:58 was showing not sure
50:00 um for from a beginner how-to
50:03 um I'll show you that in a second it's
50:05 not dangerous for the informed but most
50:07 people are ill-informed yes those day

50:57 at bing.com that's gpt4 connected to the
51:00 internet that you can use for free
51:03 you have to pay for GPT for it at open
51:05 AI you get it for free at bing.com and
51:08 then poe.com you can access a bunch of
51:10 different models there the other thing
51:12 if you if you if you're really new to
51:14 this prompts.chat this is a document
51:16 that the beginning of it gives you a
51:18 primer on prompting there's a free ebook
51:20 in there and then the whole document is
51:23 all these different prompts that that
51:25 basically turn GPT into specific tools
51:28 like act like a screenwriter act like a
51:31 mathematician act like a psychologist
51:33 act like a business coach
51:36 um and and so it can really inspire you
51:38 to understand how powerful these tools
51:41 actually are

53:46 3.5 you can absolutely do that but
53:50 gpt4 is just a much better writer it's

53:59 start doing some of the exercises you
54:01 use to write your ebooks
54:03 um in Bing's chat and and just compare
54:05 the differences it's really good I I pay
54:08 for chat GPT plus because they invented
54:11 the [ __ ] and it's it's just better there
54:13 and you also get access to plugins
54:16 which which are
54:18 let's see plugins are super super
54:22 interesting most of them are pieces of
54:24 [ __ ] waste of time and there's like
54:26 hundreds of them now
54:28 um so there's many many rabbit holes to
54:30 go down but some of the plugins are
54:32 actually very useful and it's kind of
54:34 interesting seeing
54:36 how these tools are going to evolve
54:38 they're going to evolve into very very
54:40 powerful agents on our behalf like like
54:43 we're gonna quickly get into a place
54:45 where you just ask the tool like hey I
54:48 want to go to Cancun in three weeks can
54:50 you help me with that it will go off
54:52 it'll log into travel sites it'll book
54:54 you tickets it'll book itineraries it'll
54:57 give you activities for the day and
54:59 it'll come back and say here what do you
55:00 think of this and you're like I don't
55:01 like any of that I don't want to go on

57:04 marketing agencies would charge hundreds
57:07 thousands tens of thousands of dollars
57:08 for that
57:09 so with chatgpt you can much more
57:12 quickly come up with a solution and then
57:14 you can experiment with those Solutions
57:16 in the marketplace all right I want to
57:18 help dog walkers I don't know come up
57:21 with social media campaigns I want to
57:24 um help people learn how to program and
57:27 you could teach them how to use chat EBT
57:29 to learn how to program like what I
57:31 would say is take the things that you
57:33 know or the things that you're
57:34 passionate about
57:36 and start interacting with chat GPT
57:39 saying hey I want to learn how to make
57:41 money doing this thing I already know
57:42 how to do can you help with that have it
57:45 come up with ideas to help you make
57:46 money so so think of it less like it's a
57:50 money making scheme and more like it's a
57:52 it's a support tool for you to come up
57:55 with ideas and plans for how you can
57:58 make money that's how I'd attack it
58:01 but not you can make money
58:04 don't listen to those people they're
58:06 idiots and their voices are really
58:08 annoying
58:09 aren't they I mean do you like that do
58:12 you want to listen to that person do you
58:13 want to pay them 500 to tell you how to
58:15 make money with chat gbt you know how
58:17 they're making money with chat GPT by
58:19 telling you can you can make money with

58:30 realistic for a recent grad with a BS in
58:33 in compsi to get a job as an AI

58:45 just because you have a degree in compsi
58:47 doesn't mean
58:49 you're AI literate right so so
58:52 there's kind of two two paths
58:56 um chat EPT in my opinion marks sort of
58:59 a a converge a a diverging of the paths
59:02 that you can take
59:04 one is if you're really into engineering
59:06 and computer science and things like
59:08 that and you want to go down the path of
59:11 um getting into machine learning and and
59:13 engineering and working on the large
59:15 language models that's a path
59:17 it's a more crowded path because machine
59:21 learning and neural networks and and all
59:24 of that stuff's been around for decades
59:26 so you're entering
59:27 you know kind of the hottest market
59:29 right now the good news is it's a hot
59:31 market so people are looking for
59:33 talented people but you have to be AI
59:35 literate and you have to be pretty
59:36 educated on on the tools so that's one
59:38 path
59:39 the other path is
59:42 taking your computer science your
59:44 logical thinking and and saying okay
59:47 has done is it's made
59:50 generative Ai and machine learning
59:52 available to the rest of us
59:54 and every business and every human being
59:58 right now is trying to figure out how to
59:59 use these tools so you don't have to be
1:00:01 a computer scientist anymore to use this
1:00:03 stuff I can use it as a creative
1:00:05 professional to create illustrations to
1:00:08 write songs to write you know marketing
1:00:10 programs to write copy to write short
1:00:12 stories and novels and ebooks
1:00:15 um so you could take your skills and and
1:00:18 you know help people get better at
1:00:20 prompting you could get better at
1:00:22 prompting
1:00:23 um you could so so basically what I'm
1:00:26 saying is get AI literate and then sort
1:00:28 of figure out which side of that path
1:00:30 you want to go on do you want to help
1:00:31 people Implement AI using large language
1:00:35 models or do you want to go build large
1:00:36 language models and do the techie stuff
1:00:38 you can take either one of those and
1:00:40 there's probably a bunch of jobs in
1:00:42 between so yes your skills as a computer
1:00:45 science person valuable
1:00:47 um but without AI literacy
1:00:50 doesn't really matter because the tools

1:00:56 copilot if you're not pair programming

1:01:01 doing yourself a disservice

1:01:10 who gets curious about Ai and gets
1:01:13 AI literate in any way like you don't

1:02:14 they're a member of the AI Salon they're
1:02:16 getting jobs because of that right we're
1:02:18 entering into this frothy over hyped

1:02:23 [ __ ] is this AI I need someone who knows
1:02:25 what they're doing so get literate with
1:02:27 it and start talking about it it will
1:02:29 help other people
1:02:32 um you know move out of fear and move
1:02:34 into like being empowered by using the
1:02:36 world's most powerful tools in the
1:02:38 history of mankind
1:02:41 like why would you not use this thing
1:02:44 right
1:02:45 but you have to get over that hump of
1:02:47 it's going to kill us or I heard it's
1:02:49 not perfect or like whatever the
1:02:51 defensive postures are for a new
1:02:53 technology that's transformative

1:08:14 features and then you actually have to
1:08:16 turn on browse with Bing and plugins so
1:08:19 that's step one once you've done that
1:08:22 you should now see default gpt4 browse
1:08:25 with Bing and plugins
1:08:26 when you go to plugins
1:08:28 you have whatever plugins you've got
1:08:30 installed in a long list and then if you
1:08:33 don't have any installed you'll see this
1:08:35 thing called the plugin store
1:08:37 so you go to the plugin store

1:08:45 and then you have all these plugins and
1:08:47 there are now 137 pages of four plugins
1:08:51 each so whatever that math is there's a
1:08:54 lot of plugins you know we're cut is

1:09:04 500 of these things

1:15:14 mind-blowingly powerful
1:15:16 can you imagine AI being a mediator I
1:15:19 think AI would be a brilliant mediator
1:15:21 because like a good mediator it doesn't
1:15:23 have any emotion it can look at both
1:15:26 sides of an argument objectively and not
1:15:30 pick a dog in the fight right and you
1:15:33 could even give it instructions to do
1:15:35 that
1:15:36 you know
1:15:37 your job is to be a mediator and make
1:15:41 the decisions here as Equitable as
1:15:44 possible for both sides
1:15:46 don't pick sides and and explain your
1:15:49 thinking in how you came up with what
1:15:51 you came up with right so that I can
1:15:53 understand the logic behind how you made
1:15:55 the choices you made I might disagree
1:15:58 with the outcome but I at least
1:16:00 understand the logic of how we got there
1:16:02 I think it would be brilliant at that
1:16:04 brilliant at that
1:16:06 it's one of the things that that
1:16:09 is kind of the
1:16:11 the most surprising to not the most
1:16:14 surprising there's so much surprising
1:16:15 but a big surprise of these tools
1:16:19 is that with Chachi PT what large
1:16:21 language models effectively are is a
1:16:23 reflection of humanity right it's
1:16:25 trained on sort of all of the writing
1:16:27 good and bad you know that we've done
1:16:29 and put on the internet
1:16:31 and so it's kind of a reflection of that
1:16:33 and and so it actually is good at nuance
1:16:38 and it's good at
1:16:41 figuring stuff out and analyzing it and
1:16:43 and explaining why it did what it did I
1:16:46 think it would be a brilliant mediator
1:16:47 that could I mean that could be a whole
1:16:49 business is that you could do some some
1:16:51 really interesting prompt crafting
1:16:54 um to create a mediator bot you could go
1:16:56 create a mediator bot on PO right now
1:16:59 that would probably be really useful
1:17:01 I'd like to learn where should I start
1:17:03 you should start that's why I have all
1:17:05 these URLs behind my head
1:17:07 this is this is my recommendations of
1:17:09 where I think you should start the top
1:17:11 three you can pick either one of them or
1:17:12 you can go play with all three I think

1:17:17 just get curious about generative AI

1:17:49 and then if you just want to geek Out On
1:17:51 Tools that's what that bottom thing is
1:17:52 so if I were just starting I'd go to
1:17:54 prompts.chat learn about prompting and
1:17:56 then I would go there and start doing it
1:17:58 and just start experimenting
1:18:01 I like to learn where should I start
1:18:02 that's what we just did okay
1:18:04 I asked Bing a few times to make digital
1:18:07 images of a narcissist and it got mad at
1:18:09 me yeah so these tools right now they
1:18:12 have uh safety guard rails on them and
1:18:15 Bing in particular if you ask it
1:18:17 anything that it deems as like
1:18:18 potentially dangerous for human beings
1:18:20 it's like
1:18:23 um so go to things like mid-journey or
1:18:25 stable diffusion
1:18:27 um and and it'll probably you you can
1:18:30 probably get around that but you need to
1:18:32 dig a little bit deeper Bing because
1:18:34 it's a free public
1:18:36 you know search engine they've got all
1:18:38 sorts of safety guard rails on it they
1:18:40 got in trouble
1:18:41 um when they first launched Bing because
1:18:43 it was a little too it was a little too
1:18:45 freewheeling and it went a little
1:18:48 psychotic on a New York Times Reporter
1:18:49 so they lobotomized it so that's what
1:18:51 all that safety stuff is

1:19:59 I think most prompt libraries are just
1:20:01 giant pieces of [ __ ] most of which were
1:20:04 written by chat GPT
1:20:06 um and it's people trying to make money

1:20:12 is it was a free kind of open source
1:20:14 project and it it teaches you kind of
1:20:17 the fundamentals of of prompting like I
1:20:21 think it's more important right now to
1:20:22 learn how to prompt
1:20:24 I don't think ultimately that prompt
1:20:27 libraries are going to be a thing
1:20:28 because what's what's already happening
1:20:30 is
1:20:31 these tools are starting to prompt
1:20:33 themselves like there's a there's a tool

1:21:45 descriptive language to paint a clear

1:21:49 the machine wrote the good prompt I
1:21:52 wrote a crappy one most people are not
1:21:54 going to take the time to learn
1:21:56 how to prompt I think if you want to be
1:21:59 valuable in in the workplace for the
1:22:03 next two years you should learn
1:22:05 prompting but the future of where it's
1:22:06 going is we're not going to have to be
1:22:08 good at that and then it'll write you a
1:22:11 poem there's another example of that

1:22:18 um there's a couple of bots here that

1:22:54 are already starting to rewrite prompts

1:23:02 a prompt Library might give you ideas

1:24:38 and it's got like what looks like a
1:24:40 Google search bar and just start asking
1:24:42 it to do things and go to prompts.chat
1:24:44 and it will teach you how to interact
1:24:47 with it
1:24:50 they they have been updating it I don't
1:24:53 know every three weeks or so there's a
1:24:55 new version of something that shows up
1:24:56 at that website so
1:24:59 right now like as much as I obsess over
1:25:01 all these Technologies and all these
1:25:03 tools I'm only paying attention to like
1:25:05 three different tools that's one of them
1:25:08 um mid-journey is one of them that makes
1:25:10 images
1:25:12 and then
1:25:13 um I use zapier to do automations like
1:25:15 there's just a handful of tools that I'm
1:25:17 playing with
1:25:18 I could spend and I'm not being
1:25:21 hyperbolic here
1:25:22 I could spend the next decade of my life
1:25:25 just playing with the free version of
1:25:27 chat GPT 3.5
1:25:30 and not even scratch the surface of what
1:25:32 it makes possible
1:25:34 so you don't have to if you want to geek

1:26:42 that's valuable to you you go teach

1:26:50 the internet never promised promo
1:26:52 promised to democratize knowledge it
1:26:55 promised to democratize information
1:26:56 which it did got really good at if you

1:27:35 knowledge On Demand right that's the
1:27:38 shift that's the that's the profound
1:27:40 difference between how we've been
1:27:42 interacting with with the internet and
1:27:44 with data for the past 50 70 years and
1:27:49 what's happening now with with machine
1:27:51 learning and and large language models
1:27:53 right
1:27:54 and Chachi PT is kind of the simple
1:27:57 interface that gave access to the power
1:28:00 of these large language models to the
1:28:01 rest of us so that is the thing that's
1:28:04 democratizing knowledge not the internet
1:28:06 but really good really good question but
1:28:09 but that's a huge distinction
1:28:13 predict stock market trends based on
1:28:15 current data because it's limited to
1:28:17 September 2021. oh contraire well the
1:28:19 base model is limited to September 2021
1:28:22 bing.com that's gpt4 connected to the
1:28:25 internet and the Bing enabled version of
1:28:29 chat gpt4 here is also connected to the
1:28:32 internet
1:28:33 so you can
1:28:36 access up-to-date information and have a
1:28:39 do analysis on it and I would also if
1:28:42 you're
1:28:44 um
1:28:45 really into stock market trends and
1:28:46 Analysis I would definitely pay the 20
1:28:49 bucks to these guys
1:28:50 um to get access to their new technology
1:28:53 because one of the things that's coming
1:28:55 is a thing called code interpreter and
1:28:57 if you don't know what code interpreter
1:28:59 is go look at it it will blow your flip
1:29:02 in mind go to YouTube right now if
1:29:04 you're into stock market Trend stuff or
1:29:06 any sort of data analytics
1:29:08 and just in YouTube search for code
1:29:11 interpreter chat GPT look at what's
1:29:13 coming
1:29:14 it's [ __ ] insane it's [ __ ] insane
1:29:17 you upload a full spreadsheet of data to
1:29:20 this thing and then say what's
1:29:22 interesting about the data it will write
1:29:24 your report and generate the python code
1:29:28 to create charts and graphs of the
1:29:30 interesting Trends within the data you
1:29:33 can say find me an anomaly in the data
1:29:35 you can have it it's mind-blowing what's
1:29:38 coming
1:29:39 so not quite true that was true four
1:29:42 months ago but it's not true now
1:29:45 that it that it was just limited to
1:29:46 September 2021. so again
1:29:49 strongly encourage you don't just sit on
1:29:51 the sidelines and diminish this stuff
1:29:53 because it's not perfect it's improving
1:29:56 [ __ ] daily this stuff is just getting
1:29:59 better and better and better and it's
1:30:01 getting more ubiquitous McKenzie put out

1:30:08 about how big the impact of this

1:30:22 today on the McKinsey report it's a 15
1:30:24 tweet thread that basically unpacks that
1:30:27 McKinsey report talking about what's
1:30:29 coming what's going to be the impact on
1:30:31 business and the economy it's [ __ ]
1:30:33 insane It's Gonna Make the World Wide
1:30:35 Web and the internet transformation seem
1:30:38 like Child's Play
1:30:41 um
1:30:42 but are we still in control yeah we are
1:30:44 and listen there there is a possibility
1:30:47 if you if you believe Hollywood there's
1:30:49 a possibility
1:30:52 that um
1:30:54 as these tools get autonomous and can
1:30:56 take action on their own that that we
1:30:58 lose that control but right now it's
1:31:01 very much you know Microsoft calls these
1:31:04 tools co-pilot in in their marketing
1:31:08 that's that's the right metaphor like
1:31:10 they're not sentient
1:31:12 um they don't even know what they're
1:31:13 producing what they produce looks like
1:31:17 someone smart did that but it really is
1:31:19 just a calculator it's a prediction
1:31:21 engine that's that's very rapidly
1:31:23 predicting the next most probable word
1:31:25 that's how they work
1:31:27 so how they work is quite simple what
1:31:29 they do is quite profound but you're
1:31:31 very much in control and and it's it's
1:31:33 one of my pet peeves of people that are
1:31:36 new to this space or looking at it from
1:31:38 the outside they're like oh well AI did
1:31:40 this or a I did that no a person using a
1:31:45 machine learning tool did that right
1:31:47 there's a guy named Paul rateser who
1:31:50 started the marketing AI Institute and
1:31:52 he's got this saying which I I think is
1:31:54 actually important and profound he says
1:31:57 AI will not replace your job but someone
1:31:59 using AI will
1:32:01 that's where we are right now these are
1:32:03 tools
1:32:04 they're the most powerful tools in the
1:32:06 history of humanity but they're tools
1:32:08 and so you get to say hey I would like
1:32:13 you to teaching about
1:32:15 the theory of the Mesopotamian War
1:32:18 I don't know it'll teach you that
1:32:22 um and then you can dig deep and you can
1:32:23 compare the different strategies between
1:32:26 that War and World War II whatever
1:32:28 whatever you want to do
1:32:30 um so so you're still very much in
1:32:33 control and the whole purpose of this
1:32:35 channel is to get people curious enough
1:32:37 to go play with these tools to actually
1:32:39 understand that because once you start
1:32:40 playing with them you will have the

1:35:51 um get increasingly sophisticated

1:35:54 but Chachi PT
1:35:58 can be creative it can be very creative
1:36:00 like one again one of the things I hear
1:36:02 from people that don't use these tools
1:36:03 is oh well it can't be as creative as a
1:36:05 human oh it can

1:36:17 if I give it the right guidance

1:38:10 really interesting article on this where
1:38:12 where he talked about

1:38:18 what he's talking about in the button is
1:38:20 he said this Chachi BT stuff is going to
1:38:22 be integrated into Microsoft Word and
1:38:24 into Google Docs and Excel it's going to
1:38:27 be everywhere it's in notion already
1:38:30 and the example that he uses is he says
1:38:33 if I have a student come to me and the
1:38:35 student asks me for a letter of
1:38:37 recommendation
1:38:39 historically the value of the letter of
1:38:42 recommendation part of that was that
1:38:44 I as the professor would take the
1:38:47 45 minutes or hour or two to write the
1:38:50 letter of recommendation
1:38:52 and now I've got a button and that
1:38:54 button can write a letter of
1:38:55 recommendation in 30 seconds better than
1:38:58 I could have written it
1:39:00 does that matter like what's the goal
1:39:02 here is the goal to get that student a
1:39:04 job or is the goal to demonstrate that I
1:39:06 took the 45 minutes to write the letter
1:39:08 well I don't know like I don't know the
1:39:11 answer to that but that's what we're
1:39:12 going to confront is if you're if your
1:39:15 self-worth is in any way tied up with
1:39:18 you know I took the time to craft that
1:39:20 thing and all of a sudden that thing
1:39:21 could be crafted like that
1:39:23 that's kind of an existential
1:39:25 conversation you're gonna have to have
1:39:26 with yourself to figure out where is the
1:39:28 value and listen some artists are going
1:39:31 to say for me
1:39:33 the value is in me taking the eight
1:39:36 hours to craft the thing so [ __ ] the
1:39:38 robots and then for other people they're
1:39:41 going to say the value is in the output
1:39:43 and if I can do it in 10 minutes instead

1:39:53 out of the robot world and some people

1:40:10 think we're entering a new Renaissance

1:41:05 of that Revolution the next major
1:41:07 technological shift in my life was the
1:41:09 world wide web
1:41:10 and this is the next one in my opinion

1:41:17 the major ones I don't think the web was
1:41:19 Major I don't think
1:41:21 um that the personal computer was was
1:41:24 pretty major computers were pretty major

1:41:28 I'm looking at this like steam engine
1:41:30 like Industrial Revolution major or like
1:41:33 printing press or like written language
1:41:36 like
1:41:38 major milestone
1:41:41 shifting from
1:41:43 information on demand but we actually
1:41:45 have to still learn the [ __ ] to having a
1:41:48 tool that has knowledge that we have
1:41:50 instant access to knowledge that is a
1:41:52 profound shift in humanity profound deep
1:41:55 deep deep and profound
1:41:57 um so yes is it the most influential era
1:42:00 era I think it will be the most
1:42:03 uh impactful
1:42:05 um in a long long time and like what
1:42:08 does the future look like I am not a

1:42:15 playing now that's going to pay

1:47:03 not see browse with Bing and plugins
1:47:06 you'll probably just see default
1:47:08 so how you turn that on is you go to
1:47:10 your settings so I'm going to click on
1:47:11 my name I'm going to go to settings and
1:47:13 then in my settings there's this option
1:47:15 for beta features and you have to turn
1:47:18 them on so browse with Bing I have it
1:47:21 turned on plugins I have it turned on so
1:47:23 they're doing it just because it's a
1:47:25 beta feature and they don't want you
1:47:27 know probably too many people using it
1:47:28 or whatever reason
1:47:29 but that's how you enable them and then
1:47:32 once they're enabled then you you go to
1:47:34 the plugins mode basically and you have
1:47:38 this little list here of here's the
1:47:40 plugins I've got installed and then in
1:47:43 any given chat session I can enable up
1:47:46 to three

2:16:03 call them video guides they're they're
2:16:05 question prompts
2:16:06 that prompt an end user how to tell
2:16:08 their story
2:16:09 it's taken us a decade to figure out how
2:16:12 to write those prompts it's a very
2:16:14 particular thing
2:16:16 I now created a tool that we can fill
2:16:19 out a Google form answer a few questions
2:16:21 about the story our client once told and
2:16:24 it will automatically generate a set of
2:16:25 question prompts for us so it's like
2:16:27 what used to take us two or three
2:16:29 creative meetings to get through with
2:16:31 clients we now knock out in 30 seconds
2:16:32 and then we just sort of curate the best
2:16:34 questions out of it paste them in it
2:16:37 dramatically altered how we interact
2:16:39 with our clients
2:16:40 um in an incredibly positive way
