15. 3:27is the amount of content you can produce while you're is still on the adrenaline High then after that you crash
16. 3:37hard so it's actually got to be a good idea to survive the ninth one so see this one I've been doing for six months see what I'm

23. 4:39that it would bug if you shared something about AI with them and just tell them you can make money with tell them you got an nft you want

43. 8:04so my take on Gemini is um the thing sitting underneath Bard right now is Gemini plus there's three Geminis so if you go to b.google.r
44. 8:25but it's slower and I haven't been impressed by it it's okay but you know I've got chat GPT 4 so I don't need another thing almost as
45. 8:39good as chat gbt 3.5 um I am kind of excited about Gemini Nano which is the one that's designed to be installed on phones so you can run
46. 8:53them locally without an internet connection that I think is actually really important and then Gemini Ultra
47. 9:01depending on how much of it is vapor Weare or not looks really really impressive um and it looks like a new
48. 9:08paradigm but we're not going to get to play with it for a while so I think that um I think that Google felt that they had
49. 9:17to at least announce it even if they couldn't um launch it because open AI is in a slightly weak position it was funny right before
50. 9:29before I came on I saw a a tweet a post on X isn't it just easier to call it a tweet if they CH he he changed it now
51. 9:40they're called posts but you have you post everywhere you you only tweet on tweet place but now tweet place is not
52. 9:49called tweet Place anymore it's called X and you post on X and then you got to say well it was a post on x am I
53. 10:01old don't don't you answer that do get do not answer that okay let's get going here anyway I saw a post on X um that someone just said that
54. 10:19gp4 long coding which got nerfed which nerfed is a technical term for it sucked it got bad so so on gp4 you could do
55. 10:31long code sequences and it would do them well and then that just stopped for a while and I just saw a tweet right
56. 10:37before I came on that someone said Oh Long code stuff is back so maybe uh maybe open AI is is uh pushing some [ __ ] out to make sure
57. 10:49that that Google doesn't steal their Thunder but we'll see we'll see so what do I think about Gemini I think uh I
58. 10:57can't wait to play with it that's what I think about it let us play with it let us play with it all

65. 12:03were a couple of videos that I thought there's one the the one that was sort of the sexy video they showed that I said I
66. 12:10think this is sped up that's the one that it looks like it it wasn't super real but there's some other ones that
67. 12:15they're that they're demoing where they're actually moving around an interface I think I think that's that looks real to me

75. 14:00the question what does Gemini I do that gp4 doesn't so there's a couple of things one is it's truly multimodal meaning so so chat gp4 right
76. 14:15now can talk it can hear but only in the G in the IOS app or in their mobile apps it can see and it can make images on the
77. 14:27website but but it can't you it can't hear audio files on the web and it can't deal with video can't generate it it
78. 14:37can't see it so Gemini is designed from the ground up to be multimodal so what we're looking at here I think well
79. 14:48so this is all speculation and if Pat's in here he could he could maybe confirm nor deny nor deny what my my specul is
80. 14:59this is uh this is speculation Central here my speculation is this is one of the interfaces that we'll have for for
81. 15:08uh Gemini Ultra and it I think there's a a a scrolling one kind of like chat GPT but what this interface is so this is
82. 15:18kind of like one of those scrolling Infinite Canvas things where see all these objects these are all active
83. 15:24objects on a canvas and so now let me go back to this let's see if our multimodal model Gemini okay so see what she just
84. 15:34did see how there's a little hand here and um and she's kind of scrolling around this similarities between images right
85. 15:46we'll start with these two the B just chapel and this okay now look what she just did so she's scrolling around this
86. 15:53interface where she's plopped a bunch of images so imagine like a mood board but the mood board is fully GPT
87. 16:04enabled and so she she draws a little Marquee around those two images and it pops up ask Gemini that's pretty slick
88. 16:15right um will we have to wear Google class yes yes you can only see this in Google class and you you can only
89. 16:22manipulate it by pinching in the air so you look absolutely ridiculous at the cafe print by Hokusai and I'll promp
90. 16:30Gemini find a connection between these two images let's see what Gemini says now you can't really see it but right
91. 16:39here there's a little progress animation doing this a curved in organic composition and so see how it's kind of you know writing
92. 16:49the tokens about the speed of cat gp4 that seems decently realistic to me so this interface is draw a marquee around
93. 16:57some objects you interact with them and then it does some [ __ ] the building is more refined and the second image is more fluid yeah that
94. 17:08worked okay let's try another one using the moon and this golf ball on my webcam so wait so this golf ball on my webcam
95. 17:15so she's got a webcam on her canvas right this little Windows her webcam she plopped onto this canvas that's a photo
96. 17:23of the Moon and now she's just highlighting part of her webcam so just part of the image that she wants then I'll run the same
97. 17:32prompt okay let's see in 1971 the Apollo 14 crew hit two golf balls on the lunar surface wow that's pretty good so that's
98. 17:41it and it can do you know it can do that with video it can do some reasoning kind of stuff um I'll go [Music]

100. 18:05um but let me give you the caveats for it all right testing Gemini here we go tell me what you see I see you placing a piece of paper on the

102. 18:29so apparently the so so I think this is sped up and I I don't think the this voice inter I think the voice is added
103. 18:37later I think the voice is edited I didn't read the whole article Kevin Vasquez sent me an article that talks
104. 18:42about all this so I think this is mostly marketing stuff but it this is this is kind of the interface that they showed before where
105. 18:52there's there's kind of that Marquee around that shape so so who knows what's real so so I'll play I'll play some of
106. 19:00this for you um just know that it's probably sped up it probably does some version of this but take a look at
107. 19:09um take a look at this right because even if it only does some amount of this it's still pretty impressive what it's
108. 19:17going to do are smooth and flowing with no sharp angles or Jagged edges it looks like a bird to me hm what if I add this
109. 19:28the bird is swimming in the water it has a long neck and Beak it is a duck yes a duck is a type of waterfoul in the
110. 19:36family in aday ducks are closely related to geese and swans the duck appears to be blue this is not a common color for
111. 19:44ducks however there are some breeds of blue ducks these are typically not as so so the other thing that I'm noticing
112. 19:50here is as he's changing the image it's it's doing analysis right so it's it's analyzing the video very very quickly
113. 19:57it's it's not like you put in a video frame take a still of it and submit it it it's if you're analyzing video it
114. 20:04looks like it's doing it essentially in real time but again we don't know what's real here or not common as other duck
115. 20:11breeds it is more common for ducks to be brown black or white are you sure what the quack I was just talking about a

136. 23:09rerun of Bewitched tin tin t it's a touchcreen no it's not a touchcreen it's so what they've got here
137. 23:18is they've got a webcam pointing down on a desk and and so he's just pointing you know on the map on a desk but the webcam
138. 23:25is above it so that was some of the funny com I got yesterday when I was showing this was like so wait we got to
139. 23:31mount a webcam above our desk to use this thing so just just keep in mind this is a marketing video this is
140. 23:39designed to make this thing look as slick as [ __ ] as [ __ ] possible right it does look slick but like iPhone

154. 25:49happens this fast or not the fact that you can put a couple of balls of yarn and say give me ideas of what I can make
155. 25:56and it's it's rendering images that are out of out of those colors and out of that you know material is is pretty
156. 26:03impressive so you know again the the question was how's this different than chat BT assuming that this is what this
157. 26:12is it is a true multimodal interface like from the ground up so it's not you're not starting with a with a text scrolling text window like a
158. 26:23Google Search and then adding oh I can upload images or it can generate images you're starting sort of from the base
159. 26:29level of I can drop all sorts of objects in here I could drop PDFs in here likely I could drop movies in here I can drop a
160. 26:37webcam in here I can drop images I can drop music I can drop a recording maybe a live microphone feed into this space and
161. 26:49then I can start interacting with that I couldn't get anym in my real life to talk I couldn't get anyone in my real
162. 26:57life to to talk about this today yeah we're still very very early people as much as it seems like oh my God I'm so
163. 27:04behind you're not so behind if you're here you're ahead or or you know you're just baffled that anyone would watch

177. 29:08would be the last time in my life that I got to see one of these and then last year chat GPT came out and I was like oh
178. 29:16it's another one we are very very early and so when you're this early a lot of people don't know anything about it
179. 29:28a lot of people know about it but fear it or angry at it they don't want to change they don't want it to happen they
180. 29:36want to make it go away and then there's a small group of people that are like this seems kind of cool what is
181. 29:44this hey I have an idea you could make money with could you make money with this what is this how do you do it where do I go
182. 29:54is there a course did someone make a book book no no there's no books there's no course anyone that's going to teach you in a
183. 30:04course it's going to be obsolete in three months anyway so we're that early so what that means is you can just be
184. 30:12curious about this stuff and know more about it than most of the people around you and by talking about it you'll
185. 30:19establish some credibility for yourself as someone who's curious and adventurous and with a clue about what's coming even
186. 30:27if you don't know what's coming cuz nobody knows what's coming nobody we don't even know if Gemini's real we assume it's real they
187. 30:37made videos they spent some money but they got to do something a pesky little 800 person company called open AI can't be doing
