call 2:51 a dog and pony show he goes there's no 2:54 pony here I'm the only dog sometimes I 2:57 don't feel like 2:58 singing got the the AI learning Lab Rats 3:02 the Lab Rats get it I forget who made 3:05 that image but I like that image D and 3:07 cheese wine and 3:08 cheese all right changing up the 3:10 beverages tonight have a lovely Mexican 3:12 Coke with crushed ice 3:16 M only real can Wednesday 3:43 everybody middle of the 3:46 week we got uh I don't know what we got 3:48 I don't know what we got going tonight I 3:50 got no plans I know it's a surprise I'm 3:53 normally so tight on the agenda right 3:56 not tonight tonight we're going to 3:58 loosen things up I'm just going to come 3:59 at this as 4:01 if I'm going to 4:04 pretend I have not thought about this at 4:06 all 4:08 it it will not seem like that this is 4:11 going to seem like you're going to watch 4:13 this Robert Rossy thank you so much very 4:15 much appreciate that you're going to 4:17 watch 4:18 this you're going to think does does he 4:21 have how many producers are running this 4:23 thing this is this is like this is like 4:26 the it's like the coar show it's just 4:29 solid 4:31 it's like what do you have one of John 4:33 Oliver's writers writing for him so but 4:37 I'm telling you it's just I'm but I'm 4:38 going to what it's going to what my 4:41 intent is is that it seems like I 4:44 haven't planned a [ __ ] thing so we'll 4:46 see how good those producers are and if 4:48 it's horrible if it seems like 4:51 everything was planned out and scripted 4:52 then that's on them see I can only win 4:55 here if it seems like an amateurish mess 5:00 we've succeeded if it seems professional 5:03 and people get a lot out of it well I'll 5:05 take credit for that you see how this 5:07 works but they failed so either way I 5:13 win what is he talking 5:19 about Cory Corey told me to come over 5:22 here from the pottery from the pottery 5:24 Tick Tock and I don't understand why I'm 5:27 here who is 5:28 he 5:30 if we get any looser our pants are GNA 5:33 fall 5:37 off hey you want to see something 5:40 [Laughter] 5:46 exciting I'm not showing you the back of 5:48 it because that's where the number is 5:50 that's my new credit card you 5:55 [ __ ] so if you weren't here 5:57 last 5:58 week I did a typical a typical old man 6:02 with computer move and showed my 6:05 complete credit card number including 6:08 the little three-digit magic code to all 6:10 of the 6:12 internet ah yeah we caught it in 6:16 time but but I am now rarded no one said 6:20 there would be a need for pants you're 6:23 assuming I've ever worn pants wait 6:26 life's tough it's tougher when you're 6:27 stupid thank you silver fox weight pants 6:31 no pants pants pants were so early 6:37 2020 I think it's so funny that I'm I'm 6:40 now like legitimately referring to 2022 6:45 as the olden timey 6:47 days remember back in the olden timey 6:49 days when you when you actually had to 6:51 think and write outlines for yourself 6:54 and had to come up with 6:57 ideas oh we're not going back to 7:05 that um show and tell's going to be 7:08 interesting tonight I hope 7:10 so I hope so um I did a cool little 7:15 interesting I did a cool little 7:17 interesting mini project so last night 7:19 at the at the 7:21 salon um we had a photographer named Tim 7:24 archal speak at the salon and he shared 7:27 a project with us called the AI camera 7:29 club and it's it's just this cool 7:31 Instagram channel that he 7:34 created 7:36 um and it just it it was a really good 7:39 reminder for 7:42 me that narrative is really 7:47 important that having a point of view 7:51 and telling stories is really important 7:54 and if you're just making images I mean 7:56 if we're just making images here and 7:58 [ __ ] around that's fine the the the 8:00 lives kind of become the narrative 8:04 right hair growth geek what's 8:10 UPA 8:11 shaken what's shaken my ADHD brother I 8:15 always wish i' never had 8:18 exactly make 8:21 messes what's going down how's the hair 8:24 growth business it's good it's really 8:26 busy I was going to say it's growing but 8:28 that would be a horrible pun 8:30 to do it do it it's it's dad and mom 8:34 jokes that's that's what we got to do 8:35 now because apparently that's where we 8:37 are in 8:39 life I think I'm I think I'm at grandma 8:41 jokes at my 8:44 age so I is the lab bason full tonight 8:47 full of fun people I don't know we just 8:50 got here we say hello hi everybody I 8:53 miss not being in there and I'm 8:54 listening but I'm usually packing boxes 8:57 and and I you guys are on all the tools 8:59 and you're in the AI salon and I have 9:01 fomo so bad so I'll be there it was it 9:04 was a good Salon last night Tim Tim 9:06 archal was really good it was good we 9:07 had like 80 people in the salon last 9:09 night it was crazy oh it's awesome 9:12 that's awesome we crack cracked 750 in 9:15 the AI salon so that's growing too it's 9:17 nice awesome yeah well let me know what 9:21 I can do to help I've got a whole bunch 9:22 of new tools that I've got together and 9:23 if you ever want me to kind of give you 9:26 a little video of what I've done I'm 9:27 happy to share them I they're JY they're 9:30 all janky pieces of [ __ ] but everything 9:33 that's where we are all right well good 9:35 to see you bye guys hi every in boxes 9:40 byle looks like Wonder Woman you just 9:42 got a Wonder Woman compliment it's good 9:44 call oh thank you follow Kyle anybody in 9:47 my room please follow him he's amazing 9:50 he will teach you so many things and he 9:52 is so funny so guys before he goes give 9:55 him a follow give him some love and I 9:57 will tell you all about him in a minute 10:00 thank you bye good to see you good to 10:03 see you too bye 10:06 bye can't see anything I can't see 10:12 anything I don't know how to do this 10:14 either yeah I got it I'm just got to get 10:16 my glasses bye 10:21 bye what Champion what what is up what's 10:25 is someone out there are you going to 10:27 save us champy save us you going to save 10:32 us you can do 10:34 it dop all right um I use chat GPT to 10:39 write a VBA code today impressed my 10:41 co-workers should I fess up Jen mcau yes 10:44 yes yes yes yes absolutely fess up so 10:46 here's the 10:48 deal the Instinct your instinct is 10:51 absolutely right don't [ __ ] tell 10:52 anyone right I I mean it feels right but 10:55 it's but it's not right there's there's 10:56 a couple of reasons why um so eth you 11:00 should go read a an article by Ethan 11:02 mullik called uh discovering the secret 11:05 cyborgs so you're a secret cyborg right 11:08 now you're getting secretly AI literate 11:12 and one of the things that I encourage 11:15 people strongly to do on this channel is 11:18 talk about what you're doing in AI out 11:21 yourself just just put it out there and 11:24 if you're like well but I get work done 11:26 faster and I don't really want them to 11:27 know just out yourself I'm telling you 11:29 because what what's going to end up 11:31 happening is 11:32 this you're going to initially bug the 11:34 [ __ ] out of people and they're going to 11:36 resist it they're going to be like I 11:37 don't want to hear about this stupid AI 11:41 stuff and then someone will probably 11:43 secretly off to the side go could you 11:46 could you teach me a little of that AI 11:48 stuff I don't could don't tell anyone 11:50 though and then all of a sudden you're 11:53 going to gain a reputation for someone 11:55 knows what knows what they're doing with 11:56 this stuff even if you don't and here's 11:58 the big secret none of us know what 12:00 we're doing and we all feel like that 12:03 because that's the stage of the industry 12:04 we're in right now but put yourself out 12:08 there hey I just you know experimented 12:11 with this thing with with chat gbt and 12:13 it worked here I just experimented and 12:14 it didn't work and here's why it didn't 12:16 work just get it out there post it on 12:18 LinkedIn post it on Facebook tell your 12:21 friends at dinner tell your friends at 12:22 the movie theater bug the [ __ ] out of 12:26 them 12:27 because we are in the kind of singled 12:31 digigit percentages of anyone who's 12:33 really using chat GPT and AI tools it's 12:37 it's very very low there's a Mackenzie 12:39 study right now I think it's about 82% 12:43 of Americans have not used chat GPT so 12:47 that means 18% have used 12:50 it and that means significantly less of 12:53 that have used it a 12:55 lot and probably significantly less than 12:58 that have a GPT for subscription and are 13:00 really digging in so if you're doing 13:03 anything if you're writing VBA code in 13:05 chat 13:06 GPT you're in that probably 13:10 5% of people that know what's going on 13:13 so we're early early early so talk about 13:16 it now you'll establish yourself as an 13:18 expert and as people want to know more 13:22 about this and get curious about it 13:24 you're going to be the one they come to 13:25 and and we we're seeing it in here a lot 13:27 that people that do that are getting all 13:29 sorts of opportunities just tossed in 13:31 their lap I had a CEO Kayla I had a CEO 13:34 reach out asking me to lead their AI 13:36 Department this group equals magic oh 13:38 Kayla that is so cool holy [ __ ] 13:44 congratulations Kayla mssw I had a CEO 13:48 reach out asking me to lead their AI 13:53 Department I'm assuming Kayla you don't 13:55 have a Stanford mathematics degree 13:57 correct you just been messing around 14:00 with AI like the rest of us right we're 14:01 at an inflection point here that is so 14:03 cool I'm so excited for 14:06 you November 30th 2022 14:09 marks there's a flag in the ground that 14:12 got put there by Sam Alman and his Mar 14:15 crew over at open AI when they launched 14:18 chat GPT a new era 14:21 began and it's the era where 14:25 non-engineers and non-technical people 14:28 and 14:30 you know 14:32 non-researchers have access to these 14:34 tools in a way that they can start to 14:36 use 14:37 them as if they were tools that anyone 14:41 could use because they 14:42 are and because chat GPT got so popular 14:46 so quickly the 14:48 entire investment engine and Technical 14:52 development engine of the world is now 14:55 aimed at 14:56 AI so this stuff is not going going away 14:59 this is not an overhyped cycle in fact 15:02 in one of the corners down here I have a 15:04 video series called underhyped where I 15:06 explain why I think 15:10 um this is a bigger deal than I think 15:12 people are realizing I built an AI chat 15:14 bot for a family friend does bookings 15:17 direct to CRM super 15:19 cool and Chris that's the kind of thing 15:22 that that's another kind of thing to do 15:24 if you're trying to figure out if if 15:25 you're curious about this AI stuff and 15:27 you're playing with it you're like but I 15:30 don't quite know what to do I get their 15:31 chat GPT and I don't know and I there's 15:33 so much I could do but then I 15:36 get do it for someone 15:40 else you know Chris Chris had a friend 15:43 that had a need and he's like okay let 15:44 me build you a GPT for that build stuff 15:47 just build stuff just put it out there 15:49 build it put it out there okay so I 15:52 decided to become a wine expert on 15:53 malbeck and it's amazing how deep chat 15:56 GPT can go AI Bob this is my new this is 15:59 my new Theory I've got a I've got a uh a 16:03 counter to Malcolm gladwell's 10,000 16:06 hour rule from from outliers from the 16:09 book outliers he popularized this idea 16:11 of the 10,000 hour rule where you need 16:13 to put in 10,000 hours to get really 16:15 good at 16:16 something I think the 10,000 hour rule 16:19 is 16:20 dead and and so yeah if you want to 16:22 decide if you decide you want to become 16:23 an expert in malback 16:26 wine now you can and you can do it 16:28 really quickly really 16:30 quickly um yeah just crazy awesome 16:34 awesome awesome Kayla that's just so 16:36 amazing so 16:38 amazing um very very cool do you know 16:42 any CNN 16:43 image aggregators that work with chat 16:47 GPT I don't know what you mean a CNN 16:50 image aggregator that works with chat 16:52 GPT you could probably build one with 16:55 zappier gravity jump like I don't know 16:57 if CN CNN has RSS feeds for for 17:02 images um but they 17:06 might and if they do sorry crushed 17:16 ice if they do then you could pull the 17:19 images into an RSS 17:21 reader in zappier send that over to open 17:25 Ai and do whatever you want to do over 17:26 there and then send the results back 17:28 post them to a slack Channel post them 17:30 to an Excel spreadsheet whatever it 17:31 might 17:33 be um that's how I do that I I haven't 17:36 messed around with any of that stuff the 17:37 10,000 hour rule is dead how quickly 17:39 things change Source Camp it's so 17:41 amazing I this 17:44 this I think for me this is the thing 17:47 well I say this all the time I keep I 17:49 make these qualifications the thing I'm 17:51 most excited about and then I just say 17:53 some random thing that I'm excited about 17:55 in the moment but this is a big one that 18:01 I mean I've been on the planet long 18:03 enough to to kind of have learned that 18:07 that 10,000 hour rule is about right if 18:10 you really want to try something 18:12 new you're you're in for at least a year 18:15 and a half if you do it 18:18 fulltime and more like four years if you 18:21 do it on nights and weekends to just get 18:23 really good at something if you want to 18:24 start writing screenplays and learn the 18:26 craft and just you have to write a 18:28 couple of crappy screenplays before you 18:30 write a decent one things like 18:34 that and that's not true 18:37 anymore and so I think it it changes all 18:39 sorts of calculations right so for those 18:42 of us that are up there in years I mean 18:45 look at these [ __ ] eyebrows it's it's 18:48 like I'm a it's like I'm a bond villain 18:51 I gotta I got to do some about those 18:54 things you know if you're up there in 18:57 years the the thought of 18:59 like Reinventing yourself yeah you could 19:02 reinvent yourself you could go back to 19:04 school but it's like do I really want to 19:06 commit four years just to find out I 19:08 don't really like that 19:10 thing well now what if you could do that 19:12 in two or three months well that's not 19:15 so bad I'm willing to try put in two or 19:18 three months into something I do that 19:20 without thinking I I like stumble into 19:21 some hyperfocus tunnel in a couple of 19:24 months go by 19:27 right and so so now with AI amplifying 19:31 all of our capabilities and amplifying 19:33 our 19:35 knowledge right it's knowledge on demand 19:37 it's not information on demand and and 19:40 and those two are it's a subtle 19:43 difference but information on demand was 19:45 Google right I want to learn about the 19:49 Mesopotamian War here are 500 links that 19:52 may or may not take you to something 19:54 where you can on your own time go learn 19:56 about the Mesopotamian War 20:00 and then if you're really into it 3 20:01 months later maybe you've learned 20:03 something about that battle that you 20:05 were curious 20:08 about knowledge on 20:10 demand what was the turning point of the 20:12 Mesopotamian War and the turning point 20:16 was by my just gives you the answer okay 20:19 what were they fighting over in the 20:21 first 20:22 place 20:25 right instant knowledge and it's funny I 20:29 get people that that tell me well it's 20:30 it's not knowledge cuz you know you 20:32 still have to internalize it and and 20:34 learn the skills and this and that and 20:36 that like really because when I wrote a 20:40 python application in 90 minutes never 20:42 having written a line of python in my 20:44 life seems an awful [ __ ] lot like 20:47 knowledge to 20:49 me and skills like I have skills in 20:53 coding today that I didn't have before 20:56 cat GPT 21:00 well you don't really have those skills 21:02 don't I I wrote an application that 21:05 works so I think I do I would argue with 21:08 you now if you asked me to sit down with 21:11 a white piece of paper and write out a 21:13 single python operation I 21:18 couldn't knowledge on 21:21 demand is it really imperative that we 21:24 keep it up here maybe it's a little 21:26 faster but likely not 21:30 crazy 21:31 right and so what does that mean if if 21:34 every human being rather than having to 21:36 think do I want to reinvent myself ah I 21:38 don't have the energy for four years to 21:40 something 21:41 new all of a sudden went ah [ __ ] it it's 21:43 only a couple of months of doing a 21:45 little bit of research and playing 21:46 around with these tools yeah let me try 21:48 to reinvent myself oh my God I love this 21:51 or oh I hated that glad I didn't spend 21:54 you know 100 Grand going to Community 21:56 College to learn how much I hate this 22:00 you've only spent two months out of your 22:02 life you paid 20 bucks a month you spent 22:04 $40 instead of 100 22:09 Grand that's where we 22:12 are if you choose to get AI 22:15 literate if you choose to get a 22:18 literate and the more literate you get 22:21 the more you'll see how fast this 22:22 stuff's changing how quick this stuff's 22:27 coming it's cuckoo it's cuckoo AI helps 22:31 you wa let's see unearned knowledge with 22:34 AI I get the 22:36 sentiment but it gives you a 22:38 map so you know where the gaps are 22:42 yeah yeah yeah listen it's not I I mean 22:47 the 10,000 hour rule is dead there 22:49 there's a lot of things where that's not 22:51 true right playing 22:54 guitar I could probably accelerate my 22:59 music theory knowledge with 23:01 AI but 23:03 getting getting the muscle memory to 23:05 make you 23:07 know that chord or like a 23:10 [Music] 23:12 b b minor 7th that like that one's hard 23:16 you have to crunch your fingers together 23:18 so there's certain things like dexterity 23:21 things that are not going to be 23:26 accelerated but all the knowledge stuff 23:28 a lot of the creative work a lot of the 23:30 strategy work a lot of the analysis work 23:32 all of that is now at your fingertips 23:36 instantly and then what's your job 23:38 critical 23:40 thinking well what should I do with 23:43 this I should go solve this problem okay 23:47 and then you help me solve this problem 23:51 jbt chat GPT help me solve this 23:55 problem and it comes you back with an 23:57 answer and then you look look at it and 23:58 you're like that's a shitty answer 24:01 critical thinking make it a less shitty 24:04 answer that's 24:06 better 10,000 hour rule is now the 24:09 10,000 minute rule one we week right I 24:13 yeah a week a month two 24:15 months I figure it's like a 24:18 10x a a minimum of 10x increase 24:25 right so it's probably somewhere between 24:28 10 20x 24:29 increase so you go from 1 and 1/2 to 4 24:33 years 10,000 hours to 1 and a half to 24:36 four 24:38 months or you know two to two to 5 24:40 months two to six 24:42 months I mean if okay so if you're in 24:45 this channel it's either because you 24:47 think I'm super model beautiful and I'm 24:49 about to twerk which it is a possibility 24:52 or you're curious about AI I 24:56 mean if you've used chat GPT at 25:00 all it's it's if you've got add it's 25:03 it's like a crack pipe right it's 25:05 totally like I can run down this rabbit 25:07 hole and that rabbit hole and squirrel 25:09 let me learn about squirrels off you go 25:13 imagine if you spent one 25:18 month took your free time and you said 25:21 okay on weekends and evening I'm going 25:23 to keep doing my day 25:25 job and on weekends and evening 25:29 rather than doing any of that other [ __ ] 25:32 I'm going to sit down with chat 25:34 GPT and a single 25:37 subject and I'm just going to go deep 25:39 for a month on one subject can you 25:43 imagine what you'll be able to 25:45 accomplish in a month with 100% focus on 25:49 chat GPT in your spare 25:52 time I mean if anyone in here is is 25:54 right now like I don't really know what 25:56 to do there's an idea 26:00 pick a something that you didn't think 26:02 would be possible for you to do in your 26:05 life and spend one month deep diving 26:09 with chat gbt no other 26:11 tools the the Only Rule I'll say is you 26:13 have to have chat GPT 4 because you want 26:16 the data analysis you want the image 26:18 generation you want the vision there's 26:20 twerking on this channel not 26:24 yet I told you there was a lot of 26:26 Cliffhangers in here 26:29 if if you miss it here's the deal when 26:32 the twerking comes on this channel it's 26:34 going to happen once it's twerking on 26:36 this channel is going to be like 26:38 battling Dar if you were here to 26:41 experience it you can never unsee it and 26:45 you will never see it 26:51 again that's going to be twerking on 26:53 this 26:57 channel 26:59 there's there's this one woman that just 27:02 she's like pops up in my [ __ ] 27:04 timeline now I can't it she's just all 27:07 she does is show her ass off in jeans 27:09 it's like it's like there's stretchy 27:12 ones and there's tight ones and there's 27:13 this and that she is so proud of her ass 27:16 I mean you know lovely and all but 27:19 really doesn't it even bore you at some 27:24 point 27:27 oh 27:29 so so at some point I will absolutely 27:32 turn the AI learning lab into a Tik Tock 27:35 Shop shill Channel and I'll just sell 27:39 stretchy 27:45 jeans actually you know what I should do 27:47 is I should sell juggling equipment hey 27:50 thought you were too old to learn to 27:52 juggle welcome to the AI learning lab 27:54 are we going to learn about AI you like 27:56 these silicone balls 28:02 cat GPT has literally opened up the 28:04 floodgates I know right Mary Mary oh my 28:07 God Dar War I totally forgot that's we 28:11 we you totally forgot that's on 28:14 purpose you can make money with exactly 28:17 you can make money with your booty you 28:19 can make money 28:21 with oh 28:26 man we'll do a survey in here do we want 28:30 to turn the AI learning lab into a into 28:32 a cheap Chinese crap 28:34 Channel we can go we can do it we can go 28:37 there it'd be more lucrative for 28:42 me but I couldn't sleep at night now I 28:45 can't sleep at night cuz I'm I got too 28:47 many ideas in my 28:49 head how's it going tonight got enough 28:51 snow Ohio in here we don't have much 28:55 right now it got really cold 29:00 oh the island girl that makes silly 29:01 faces to the 80s music I know the the 29:04 NPC one it's like hot dog hot dog hot 29:07 dog I I don't 29:10 like I do that for like 30 seconds and 29:13 I'm like it it like wigs me out I don't 29:16 know how she she does it for 29:18 hours but she also has nails that are 29:20 like this long so I don't know there's 29:22 there's she she can tolerate a whole lot 29:24 of things in her life that I 29:26 just 29:33 all 29:34 [Laughter] 29:37 right way too much whiskey this is an 29:40 ASMR free zone it totally is welcome to 29:44 the AI learning lab how are you tonight 29:47 fantastic Bob tell him what he's 29:50 won yeah we're not doing that we're not 29:53 doing that not doing it let's look for 29:56 new parlor tricks we can share show 29:58 others quickly um okay we can do that 30:01 hey Jen for NPC Tik Tock so you don't 30:03 have to do it yeah you know it's funny I 30:06 was thinking about experimenting with 30:08 that I I think when you know in the next 30:11 like the 30:12 the a lot of those tools right now are 30:15 are not quite they're too expensive and 30:18 they're not quite automated enough to do 30:20 it but I was thinking about 30:22 experimenting with spinning up a 30:24 channel um I haven't come up with a 30:26 concept yet but spinning up a channel 30:28 that does something interesting but 30:30 anyway um so I did want to I did want to 30:34 show you something oh my God I started a 30:37 new Tik Tok ttle Channel sharing spooky 30:40 stories written by GPT my feed is 30:43 spookier that's awesome dragonfly 30:45 Alchemy I mean I did that I did that the 30:48 other night someone we looked at oh some 30:51 someone asked me about a Tik Tok channel 30:52 that was a it was a creepy Tik Tok 30:55 Channel and we went and looked at it and 30:57 they're like how did they they do this 30:58 and so we went and replicated it and and 31:01 like it's it's pretty trivially EAS 31:03 trivially easy to 31:05 do um and if you've got a good concept 31:09 and you put out good content who gives a 31:11 [ __ ] how it was 31:13 made uh for ages learning institutions 31:16 have depended upon students as their 31:18 product now with GPT for ages learning 31:20 institutions have depended upon students 31:22 as their products now with GPT 31:26 hm in learning institutions are going to 31:29 have to get their [ __ ] together and 31:30 figure out what the [ __ ] they're going 31:31 to do with this 31:34 because students are very 31:38 quickly going to 31:41 outflank the 31:43 university all right mod Channel hold 31:51 please what's that 31:56 say 32:02 where did where did that come 32:05 in that was really 32:08 [Laughter] 32:13 funny oh that's really 32:16 good oh man all right let's 32:21 see I helped a buddy with a YouTube 32:23 channel he hit mon monetization fast 32:26 with GPT that's super cool Kyle that's a 32:29 very good idea to pick one thing chat 32:32 for a month or a weekend yeah I I really 32:35 like it's it's something that I haven't 32:36 done it's it's a it's an add thing where 32:40 I think that would make me crazy but but 32:42 it it wouldn't if I was really if if I 32:45 was really into it if you pick a good 32:47 meaty subject or the other thing you 32:50 know so there's so you could pick a 32:52 single subject to go deep on with chat 32:54 GPT or you could say I'm going to start 32:57 a 32:59 business especially if you've never 33:01 started a business 33:03 before and especially if you know 33:05 nothing about starting a 33:08 business just start with chat GPT and 33:12 say I want to spend the next 30 days 33:15 starting a business and I know nothing 33:17 about starting a business where do I 33:21 begin and if you want to get really 33:23 fancy you go chaty BT Act is a business 33:28 consultant that specializes in helping 33:31 firsttime Founders get their business 33:33 off the ground and then say I'm going to 33:36 spend the next 30 days starting a 33:37 business I have no idea what I'm doing 33:39 where should I 33:41 start start 33:43 there and then go for 30 days just using 33:47 chat 33:50 GPT because you can make your logo in it 33:53 you can make ads you can make social 33:55 media copy you can make business plan 33:57 plans you can make business 34:00 spreadsheets you can analyze data from 34:04 whatever industry you think you're going 34:05 to start a business in you could figure 34:07 out how to incorporate [ __ ] set up your 34:09 tax documents like all like just 30 days 34:13 in your spare 34:16 time and just see where you get at the 34:18 end of 30 34:20 days I would imagine at the end of a 34:22 week you'll be like well [ __ ] that was 34:24 easy what do I do for the rest of the 34:26 month 34:29 I've been promp tacking people's gpts 34:32 you guys got to put some better security 34:34 in there yeah I know I of of all my 34:37 public ones I only have one of Sin City 34:39 sipper has got some anti- jailbreaking 34:42 stuff in it I'm just too lazy to do the 34:43 other ones I don't really give a [ __ ] 34:44 about they're just almost all the ones 34:47 I've created I made on this live here so 34:49 they're you know they're about as well 34:51 thought out as everything else on this 34:54 channel oh man um that's something we 34:57 could talk about I could I could show 34:59 someone that is it an app is what an 35:02 app how do you use GPT okay so all right 35:08 so so we got some basic questions here 35:10 let's go do that because I want to I 35:11 want to show you something anyway maybe 35:13 talk about security yeah let's let's go 35:15 do that okay AI learning Lab 35:18 [Laughter] 35:20 Rats oh they're so cute all right here 35:25 we are let's go let's go to the chat JP 35:28 T so what's this Salon can you get a 35:37 haircut I thought you were referring to 35:39 my hair I do need a haircut but um yes 35:43 this AI Salon BT computer you know what 35:47 the salon is but I think you're teeing 35:49 me up there where's my keynote I don't 35:51 know if keynote run hang on 35:56 people 35:58 why does he sing like that it's very 36:03 annoying what here Tik Tok 36:09 live 36:12 that is the AI salon so here's the deal 36:15 how many folks in here got 135 folks in 36:17 here hey everybody my name's Kyle 36:19 Shannon this is the AI learning lab um 36:22 this live to a great degree is a large 36:25 extension of this the community uh if 36:27 you go to the 36:29 salon. it'll it's going to take you to a 36:31 link 36:33 tree 36:34 that has a bunch not a bunch of things 36:37 has a handful of links on it the very 36:38 first link is the AI Salon Community 36:40 it's a mighty networks Community then 36:42 there's a couple of links to a GPT for 36:45 good project we did a few weekends back 36:47 where this community made 150 gpts for 36:50 nonprofits and 24 hours that was super 36:52 fun and there's a store there's a merch 36:53 store there the merch store supports the 36:56 salon now the salon doesn't cost 36:58 anything so if you go to the to the 37:01 salon um and sign in and accept all your 37:04 cookies you have to accept your cookies 37:07 people and thanks to Europe we have to 37:10 show you that we're cooking 37:12 you um and if you come to the salon go 37:15 to the welcome to the 37:17 salon um 37:19 Tab and you can learn about what we're 37:22 about and and basically the the idea 37:24 here is this is a community 37:27 um we just cracked the 750 mark this the 37:31 the community's only been up for about 2 37:32 months so it's growing quickly and it's 37:36 a community of like AI adventurers 37:38 people that are curious about AI people 37:40 that are leaning into this stuff if 37:42 you're if you're one of those weirdos in 37:44 your group that's talking about AI 37:46 you're like I think this is a really big 37:47 deal and everyone's like shut up Sally 37:50 we don't care about your stupid AI thing 37:52 AI is stupid Sally yeah Sally stop 37:55 talking about AI Sally 37:58 and if you're like my name's not even 38:01 Sally and you're bugged by them then 38:03 come hang out with us cuz we won't call 38:06 you Sally we'll learn your 38:09 name if you so one of the things we 38:11 encourage is that you use your real name 38:13 in here because we want to get to know 38:14 each other and wherever you are on the 38:17 AI Journey like you'll find your tribe 38:19 here it's it's really cool blon's bag 38:22 please oh right hang on thank you good 38:26 call got to cover up my shiny keyboard 38:28 until I get something worked out 38:29 although I did you'll be happy to know I 38:32 ordered from Amazon some black 38:34 construction paper 38:36 today yay you did it I spent $4 on black 38:40 construction 38:41 paper that's that's the kind of 38:43 production value you're going to get 38:45 around 38:45 [Laughter] 38:54 here all right 39:00 Brandon 30 minute intro complete 135 in 39:03 the live let's get this thing started on 39:05 it okay so go to the AI Salon read about 39:09 who we are why we do what we do here's 39:11 here's my big request please read our 39:13 values read read what they're what we're 39:15 about um this group is growing quickly 39:19 which I want but this group is really 39:22 special right now and as it grows I want 39:25 it to maintain the magic that it's got 39:28 and and that's a really tough thing to 39:30 do as you grow how do you do that first 39:32 you understand why is it special so 39:35 these values are not just [ __ ] we made 39:37 up after about 6 months or so of the 39:40 salon existing and doing bi-weekly 39:42 meetings and kind of figuring out our 39:45 our personality and our 39:47 voice we sat down as organizers and we 39:49 said what is this group what are the 39:51 values and so so that's how we came up 39:53 with you know who we are why we do what 39:55 we do How We Do It what what our goals 39:57 are and and we came up with these values 40:00 and so this is kind of who the group 40:02 already is so I want you to read these 40:05 values with intention to like take them 40:09 in and just see if they resonate with 40:11 you and if they 40:12 do this is your people and if they don't 40:16 this is not your people and that's cool 40:17 but just know that right so curiosity is 40:20 one of them we want people that are 40:21 curious we also want people that are 40:24 generous so willing to share what you're 40:28 learning so as you're learning something 40:30 don't hoard it share it tell us how you 40:32 figured that thing out you know sh share 40:34 something that's what this Channel's all 40:35 about um exploration are you trying 40:38 something new are you hungry to try 40:40 something new when some new AI 40:42 technology rolls out do you not give a 40:44 [ __ ] well like we want people that give 40:46 a [ __ ] that are like okay what do I got 40:48 to figure out here hey 40:51 Siri go away I don't know how to okay 40:55 okay 40:58 do you how do you know how many Tik Tock 41:00 Arts it takes to get construction 41:07 paper by the way I don't know if Rudy's 41:09 in here if Rudy's in here so Rudy wrote 41:13 a script wait I should probably 41:15 shouldn't say this out loud here we're 41:16 being listened to reach out to Rudy if 41:20 you're getting carpal tunnel from 41:21 hitting the t double tapping the screen 41:23 to to give this channel more likes reach 41:25 out to Rudy he's figured something out 41:28 anyway um exploration is one of our our 41:30 values collaboration's one of our values 41:33 um like get together work together like 41:34 this is happening all throughout the 41:36 community right now super cool inclusion 41:38 people in AI are going to be coming from 41:40 everywhere everyone's trying to figure 41:42 this stuff out so so that means that who 41:45 you expect might be in here likely isn't 41:48 and embrace that because everyone's 41:49 different points of points of view is 41:52 going to teach you something it's really 41:53 important and and then the last value is 41:55 empathy um this one's critical a lot of 41:58 people are scared right now A lot of 42:00 people are 42:02 um angry about AI they don't understand 42:06 it they don't know why Sally's talking 42:08 about it she talks about it at dinner 42:11 she talks about it at work when I call 42:12 her to check in on her she tells me 42:14 about AI what's going on with Sally do 42:17 we need to do an 42:18 intervention no you just need to get 42:20 Sally to a support group like the AI 42:22 Salon okay so once you check those out 42:25 then I want you to go down to the 42:27 community section and introduce yourself 42:29 so there's a there's an introduction 42:30 section so say hi introduce yourself and 42:33 then check out show and tell so show and 42:35 tell is really fun because as I sort of 42:37 ramble in here incoherently the people 42:40 that show up here regularly they're 42:41 called the Irregulars they just have a 42:43 jam session and they're off like making 42:45 fun of me and taking things I say and 42:48 turning them into jokes having their own 42:51 side conversations teaching each other 42:53 things you know just making cool art 42:56 sharing it sharing gpts sharing songs 42:59 there's 43:01 champy um oh that's beautiful who's 43:04 doing that auto I like that stuff very 43:07 nice Cam kaken doing some cool work wow 43:10 love that 43:12 stuff it's been a while just messing 43:14 around with form and 43:16 light this is this is one of the things 43:18 I'm super intrigued by 43:21 is visualizing things with AI that we 43:24 can then bring to life in the real world 43:27 I suffer from long covid really bad and 43:29 my short-term memory is shot is there an 43:32 AI that can help with that 43:38 um probably 43:41 so let's go let me go see if there's a 43:45 if there's a GPT that has something 43:47 about 43:47 memory I know I know in the GPT for good 43:51 challenge we had I've got my my my wife 43:55 has had a couple of tbis and and both 43:58 her and my sons have Lyme disease so 44:00 they've got cognitive stuff 44:03 um I know there were a number of 44:05 Alzheimer's um gpts in the 44:09 store 44:12 um or or part that were part of the GPT 44:15 for good thing um let's do 44:21 memory 44:25 memory 44:29 save and re save and retrieve crucial 44:31 conversation details anytime 44:36 anywhere so so there's a couple of 44:39 things brain buddy okay let's go look at 44:40 brain buddy oh is that yours Daisy so 44:44 Daisy's made 80 gpts and she does a 44:47 bunch of neuros spicy stuff as 44:55 well 44:57 it is Brain Buddies by you isn't it 44:59 Daisy because I don't see yours 45:21 here 45:25 hm 45:30 oh Lun 45:42 stick did I spell that 45:45 right 45:48 s t i 45:55 CK 46:15 I can't find 46:17 that anyway I would say go check go 46:20 check the gpts brain 46:25 buddy 46:31 yeah I can't find 46:35 it optimize Quest by 46:49 Vicky I mean the fact that we 46:54 can't easily find this stuff is just 46:58 they got to get their [ __ ] 47:00 together here's Vicky's optimize Quest 47:04 an assistant designed to gamify workflow 47:06 opt 47:07 optimization task management and 47:10 efficiency so um so so for the person 47:15 that was asking about that let me let me 47:17 show you one other thing so so I would 47:19 say go 47:21 explore go explore chat GPT you have to 47:23 have chat GPT 4 and click on the link 47:26 that says explore gpts and then just 47:28 look up memory brain um brain function 47:32 it won't pin okay dang it okay can read 47:36 my email and help remind me of what I 47:38 did last 47:44 week so can it read your email and 47:47 remind you of what you did last 47:49 [Laughter] 47:52 week you could build your own thing with 47:54 that in in something like like zapier I 47:57 would also 47:58 be I would be surprised if some someone 48:01 hasn't tried to build something like 48:03 that where you can where you can find 48:05 that is go to Future 48:25 pedia.com 48:27 case [ __ ] 48:28 sensitive s c 48:34 h 48:36 t 48:38 no lunatick I know how to spell shtick I 48:42 lived in New York long 48:45 enough see that's spelled right says no 48:50 results 48:54 found driving 48:58 crazy 49:00 um but I I want to show you 49:03 Luna wait does it have to be wait 49:07 Luna capital 49:09 s 49:25 c 49:34 you can't search by 49:36 Builder oh brain buddy all one word oh 49:39 damn it hello I knew 49:43 that I mean I didn't know that but I 49:45 should have [ __ ] tried that brain 49:47 buddy by lunatick okay by lunis 49:51 stick.com 49:53 all ages cognitive assistant on for 49:57 Focus memory and ADHD 50:03 support okay so try brain buddy by 50:06 lunatick the other thing that I would 50:08 say 50:11 is 50:14 download download the chat GPT 50:21 app so I'm on my iPad this is the 50:24 official chat GPT app when you download 50:27 the chat GPT app make sure that you're 50:29 downloading the chat GPT app from open 50:31 AI the the the maker is open AI anything 50:35 else is a faker app there's a bunch of 50:38 them in both stores yeah yeah lunatick 50:41 this this this uh 50:44 [ __ ] GPT store they got to get their 50:46 [ __ ] together they got they got to make 50:47 this better like at a minimum you got to 50:50 be able to [ __ ] use 50:54 search anyway 50:56 okay so for the memory thing here's 50:58 something that I think could be 50:59 interesting you can put chat GPT into 51:04 conversation mode for the for the IOS 51:07 and Android app by clicking that little 51:08 headphone right 51:15 there I want help coming up with a too 51:20 list manager sure I'd be happy to help 51:23 what do you need assistance with are you 51:25 thinking of a cre project planning an 51:27 event or something else let me know so I 51:31 can provide the best suggestions I'm 51:33 struggling with long-term memory and 51:35 want a way to analyze my emails and 51:39 remember what I did last week what are 51:42 some good strategies and can you help 51:44 with 51:47 that improving your long-term memory and 51:50 keeping track of your activities through 51:52 emails is a smart approach here there 51:55 are some strategies you can use one 51:58 email organization start by organizing 52:01 your emails into folders or labels based 52:03 on categories like work personal events 52:05 and projects yeah he's dealing with 52:08 cognitive issues he's not going to want 52:09 to organize [ __ ] okay um so 52:13 anyway 52:15 um I was talking to it about giving me 52:18 tips rather than talking to it about 52:20 giving me tips you could just have a 52:21 conversation with it about um as an 52:24 email comes in you could just read it 52:26 into this thing and and just sort of be 52:28 talking into it and then as you're 52:31 talking it's right it's taking notes for 52:33 all the stuff that you're talking about 52:35 so you could just play with it like that 52:37 I would also go to Future 52:54 pedia.com money um but I I can't imagine 52:58 that this hasn't been solved in a in a 53:01 traditional 53:04 uh in a 53:06 traditional the 53:08 ice um application that that leverages 53:17 AI futureme.org what's future me.org is 53:21 that one of these 53:24 things 53:28 write a letter to your future 53:32 self pick a send date verify that's it 53:35 your letter is safe with 53:39 us that could sort of do it but I but 53:41 this is this is again more intentional 53:43 like 53:45 like th this is I'm assuming what this 53:48 person's looking for is like a set it 53:50 and forget it thing like it should just 53:52 be able to do this and it 53:54 should 53:57 Joker I could probably build a quick one 53:59 if it will remember so that's what I was 54:01 thinking Joker is that this probably 54:03 need something like 54:05 um you know you'd probably need to use 54:08 something like Lang chain or something 54:09 like that to to build the memory now 54:12 here's the deal th this is the thing so 54:14 there are there are now screenshots 54:16 running around coming out in the next 54:18 couple of weeks chat GPT is going to 54:20 have memory across 54:22 chats it's going to remember across all 54:25 of your chats I don't know how you're 54:27 going to ma manage which ones it 54:30 remembers like if you don't want it 54:31 remember me remembering certain things I 54:35 don't know how you manage that but 54:36 that's coming 54:39 so all of the things that would make it 54:43 super easy to do what you want to do 54:46 aren't quite there yet but give it 3 54:49 months and it it'll probably be pretty 54:53 easy to do 54:54 that 54:56 um and if you're if you're geeky at all 54:58 and you want to play around with um 55:01 zappier zappier you can ingest emails 55:05 summarize them store them to a 55:07 spreadsheet and then you could run a 55:09 daily script that basically says go back 55:13 seven 55:14 days and you 55:17 know like pull what I did you know what 55:20 I promised I would do out of the emails 55:23 from 7even days ago and just have it 55:25 roll in 7-Day thing in a long 55:27 spreadsheet like 55:29 I it you could probably build it pretty 55:33 quickly with zapier and zapier has an 55:35 interface now where you can just it's 55:36 got a AI interface where you can tell it 55:38 what you want it to do and it'll build 55:40 you the workflow then you need to go 55:42 populate it and you need to learn 55:44 zappier or reach out to Joker here DM 55:47 Joker and maybe he can help build it 55:49 he's built some he's built some really 55:51 cool things including like a blood 55:53 analysis GPT or something like some 55:55 crazy ass thing he's he's he's he's got 55:58 some stuff going on plus he's a joker a 56:01 lot of comedy with Joker and then there 56:03 are even R rumors about Joker and I 56:06 going all brokeback it's just it's nuts 56:09 it's nuts in here it's crazy I tell you 56:12 crazy 56:14 um all right I wanted I wanted to show 56:17 you 56:19 something 56:22 so um Z 56:26 happier joined AI 56:28 today joined just AI in general or the 56:31 AI Salon lead of 56:34 Leo build a GPT that will remember to 56:37 forget what you don't want build a GPT 56:41 to remember to forget what you don't 56:43 want to remember that's really good 56:45 Master Alexander I like 56:48 it um I will soon what he hasn't seen my 56:53 images uhoh what if es am I going to 56:56 show and tell is should I be going to 56:58 show and 57:01 tell what what are you what are you guys 57:07 doing my ice spitting picks and show and 57:14 tell wait this must be news where's Show 57:17 and 57:20 Tell is is is my ice forming a uh an 57:24 ASMR Channel inadvertently is that 57:26 what's going on 57:29 here or is it in oh that's 57:34 cool these are neat Kate Cosmic 57:39 Clover jrc's 57:49 [Laughter] 57:54 like 57:56 hey 57:58 Sally Sally's always talking about AI I 58:01 don't see the ice spitting ones where 58:03 are they down in in uh in the mod 58:05 Channel or 58:10 [Music] 58:22 regulars I do not know where it is 58:26 um show and tell keep going ah okay 58:29 that's that's thing about Show and Tell 58:31 getting popular is there's a lot going 58:32 on in show 58:35 [Music] 58:52 and oh that's a cool one what's that hey 58:54 I on 58:59 jeans spitting 59:01 [Laughter] 59:11 ice I shouldn't use crushed ice anymore 59:14 I've learned my lesson but I like 59:16 crushed 59:19 [Laughter] 59:24 ice 59:26 that's really funny that's 59:28 cool futuristic style Lykan under a 59:31 microscope you know it's like I can't 59:34 see anything that's fungus likee anymore 59:36 without without seeing that TV 59:40 show all right um what did I want to 59:44 show you oh I wanted to show you this 59:45 this thing I did so 59:49 okay there's a gbt called memory says 59:52 save and retrieve crucial conversation 59:55 details okay cool thanks 59:59 Joker um action I had with chat GPT oh 1:00:02 let me show you the output 1:00:05 first and then and then I'll show you 1:00:07 how I built it and and there's a reason 1:00:10 I'm showing you this because this this 1:00:11 isn't I didn't do anything technically 1:00:14 interesting 1:00:15 here I'm going to have to 1:00:18 do let me see hang on a sec sign in 1:00:22 request 17 Factor Authentication how can 1:00:25 I help you oh I'm sorry you got that 1:00:28 wrong you're going to have to change 1:00:29 your password oh I'm sorry you can't 1:00:31 change your password without knowing 1:00:32 your password 1:00:35 ooh it's just like it's like 1:00:37 authentication schemes have become like 1:00:39 Lum Lumberg o Peter yeah we're going to 1:00:43 need you to go on ahead and have to log 1:00:46 in with your Android phone I don't have 1:00:48 an Android phone yeah about that Peter 1:00:52 mhm hey how you doing on those TPS 1:00:55 reports yeah hello new here um do you 1:00:59 teach the basics I do Amplified 1:01:02 living what you should also do the other 1:01:04 place that you can start to learn the 1:01:06 basics is go here go to the salon. so 1:01:10 this is the AI 1:01:11 Salon um this is a community of some 1:01:14 really remarkable people so go there the 1:01:16 first link will take you into the 1:01:19 community it doesn't cost anything uh 1:01:22 and just read what the what the AI 1:01:24 salon's about what our values are and if 1:01:26 you resonate with those join this 1:01:28 community and introduce yourself and 1:01:31 there's all sorts of things you can do 1:01:33 here you can ask questions there's 1:01:35 guilds there's a 101 Guild just anyone 1:01:38 in here if you ask questions are really 1:01:40 good about sharing and and all that sort 1:01:43 of stuff so good way to start is do that 1:01:44 and then yeah come back to to these 1:01:47 lives I do I'm all over the place 1:01:52 so you might not get it in the order you 1:01:54 want on it I don't start out every 1:01:56 evening like here's the basics and go 1:01:58 from there it's a bit of a random show 1:02:00 but I I really do try to cover the 1:02:02 basics um and talk about what this stuff 1:02:05 is and if you've got specific questions 1:02:07 tonight just pop them in the comments 1:02:08 and the mods will grab those and and 1:02:11 highlight them for me all 1:02:13 right um free education and guidance 1:02:16 can't beat it awesome a human being 1:02:18 thank you very much I appreciate that um 1:02:22 all right let me show you a post that I 1:02:25 just put on 1:02:35 LinkedIn so I guess I can do it like 1:02:38 this so what this says is 10 decades of 1:02:41 found photography found photographs 1:02:44 picked up off the ground during the 1:02:47 world world fair from 1944 to 1:02:52 1934 so so the the premise here so this 1:02:56 was inspired by Tim archabald who's a 1:02:58 photographer that spoke at the salon 1:03:00 last night and he he has this project 1:03:03 called the 1:03:04 AI photographers club or the AI 1:03:07 photograph club or something like that 1:03:10 about this group of photographers in the 1:03:12 1940s that discovered AI photography and 1:03:14 it's just it's a really cool thing and 1:03:17 it it inspired me reminded me of the 1:03:19 narrative that that of how important 1:03:22 narrative is that it's really easy to 1:03:24 get seduced by these tools to just think 1:03:27 like I can make this picture and that 1:03:29 picture and that picture but if you 1:03:30 string them together with narrative 1:03:31 there's something amazing so I was just 1:03:34 kind of [ __ ] around in Del and I was 1:03:36 I lik the style of his photos so I was 1:03:38 like you know you know a crumpled photo 1:03:40 that someone picked up from the 1:03:42 1944 World Fair um and then I had an 1:03:46 idea of like well what if you picked up 1:03:48 a you had one of those photographs but 1:03:50 it was from every decade right and so 1:03:53 what this post is is is just 10 1:03:55 photographs starting in 1:03:57 1944 and then I go to 1:04:00 1954 1:04:02 1964 74 love that 1:04:05 one 1984 oh yeah hey 1:04:10 ladies 1:04:11 1994 he's got the like the oversized 1:04:15 colored jacket and the baggy jeans um 1:04:21 2004 two 2014 with the big old you know 1:04:25 bespoke coffee shop beard and then 1:04:29 2024 and then I went 10 years in the 1:04:32 future so here's the one that was picked 1:04:34 up from the 2034 Worlds Fair so I just I 1:04:40 like this took me like 10 minutes and it 1:04:43 just gave me such Joy because there's 1:04:45 there's an idea behind it there's a 1:04:46 story to be told here and like every one 1:04:49 of these pictures you're kind of like I 1:04:50 want to know the story of that person 1:04:53 and the fair and this time and who found 1:04:56 it and why they found it and there's 1:04:58 just something magical when you add even 1:05:00 the slightest layer of narrative to the 1:05:03 work that you're doing it just somehow 1:05:06 brings it to life in a different way 1:05:09 so so the prompt that I started with was 1:05:13 distressed photo found on the ground at 1:05:15 the 1942 World 1:05:17 Fair and it didn't quite show the whole 1:05:20 photograph so I said you we should see 1:05:23 the entire photograph sitting on a desk 1:05:25 and the subject matter should be of an 1:05:27 interesting person Street photo 1:05:30 style like they weren't aware they were 1:05:32 being photographed like so that's the 1:05:35 entire prompt like not much and it gave 1:05:38 me that and I'm like oh that's cool and 1:05:41 then the minute I saw that then the idea 1:05:44 popped in my head well what would one 1:05:46 from 1954 look 1:05:49 like and so I typed in 1954 and it 1:05:52 didn't know what I was talking about and 1:05:53 I said please create one from 1954 1:05:56 Worlds Fair and so it created that 1:05:59 one and then I said now 1964 and it did 1:06:02 that one and then I said 1974 did that 1:06:06 one 198 oh and then I said do 84 94 you 1:06:10 know do them all and it it did them all 1:06:12 in one image I'm like no you dum dum do 1:06:14 them separately and then it did 84 right 1:06:18 and it couldn't get 94 was just it kept 1:06:20 screwing up the date but that's a really 1:06:22 good 1990s photo but the all [ __ ] up 1:06:25 then there's 2004 2014 24 34 and then I 1:06:29 did a bunch where I was trying to get it 1:06:30 to do 1994 and that was the one I ended 1:06:33 up with down there and then I just 1:06:35 copied and pasted them over to LinkedIn 1:06:37 so it's like this is the entire the the 1:06:40 entire interaction took me maybe 10 1:06:44 minutes and and it was just the power of 1:06:47 a very simple small 1:06:51 idea and then just let the machine do 1:06:54 the work 1:06:57 right but there's a point of view there 1:07:00 right there's a there's a there's a 1:07:01 something there that's different than 1:07:03 just here's a picture here's some 1:07:06 pictures so so I don't know I just I I 1:07:09 wanted to share that tonight because it 1:07:11 it I don't know it just gave me great 1:07:14 joy to have a a focus for one thing and 1:07:18 not to have to like solve world peace 1:07:21 with a GPT it was just like let's just 1:07:23 make some cool images 1:07:25 and then and then I was like what do I 1:07:27 do with these they make me happy I'm 1:07:28 like I know I'll just go stick them on 1:07:30 LinkedIn and let people go enjoy them 1:07:32 and so there they are so anyway ain't 1:07:36 that 1:07:37 groovy did you see co-pilot as a cheaper 1:07:40 equivalent to the open AI subscription 1:07:42 great question so no not right now well 1:07:45 sort of maybe I don't 1:07:50 know you can make money with J all right 1:07:54 right I have a complicated relationship 1:07:56 with Sydney which is the uh the name of 1:07:58 the large language model underneath 1:08:04 co-pilot 1:08:10 um Microsoft's 1:08:13 co-pilot is built on top of the GPT 4 1:08:16 large language model so it's using the 1:08:18 same underlying large language model but 1:08:21 the co-pilot application itself is 1:08:24 completely distinct from chat 1:08:27 GPT that one's written by open AI this 1:08:30 one's written by Microsoft they've got 1:08:32 completely different rules of engagement 1:08:34 they've actually got different 1:08:35 interfaces and they've got different 1:08:38 functionalities if you can't afford the 1:08:40 20 1:08:43 bucks co-pilot is great it's gp4 it's 1:08:48 got Dolly built into it it'll do a lot 1:08:51 of the stuff that chat GPT will do 1:08:53 here's my problem with with it the 1:08:55 safety guard rails and the rate limits 1:08:59 that Microsoft has put into co-pilot I 1:09:02 find them egregious you can only do 10 1:09:04 back and forths before it will kick you 1:09:07 off 1:09:08 um if like me you're a 1:09:11 smartass and co-pilot gives you a shitty 1:09:15 answer I will often tell it hey that was 1:09:18 a shitty 1:09:19 answer it will shut down the 1:09:21 conversation like well I'm sorry if I 1:09:22 disappointed you I think this 1:09:24 conversation's over please try again and 1:09:26 it'll shut the conversation down and you 1:09:28 can't restart it 1:09:31 um and then if the thing the the reason 1:09:36 that I I remain optimistic and excited 1:09:40 about Microsoft co-pilot is the 1:09:44 integration into Office 1:09:46 365 which I just saw today I haven't 1:09:49 checked it out but I saw today that 1:09:50 there's going to be General availability 1:09:52 of that um for for non-enterprise users 1:09:56 and I think it's 20 bucks a month so if 1:09:59 you want your co-pilot integrated into 1:10:01 Microsoft Word and Excel and all the 1:10:04 office 3 365 Suite you're still paying 1:10:07 20 1:10:09 bucks 1:10:12 so I I still think the 20 bucks a month 1:10:16 for chat GPT plus the gp4 from open AI 1:10:19 is the best deal in software right now 1:10:22 I'm I'm not using the micros soft 1:10:24 products because every time I try to use 1:10:26 them they just piss me off they're just 1:10:28 too they're too limited they're it it 1:10:31 it's it's software it's software written 1:10:34 by 1:10:35 lawyers right now and and that's really 1:10:38 unfortunate because they they had such a 1:10:41 head start man they had people so 1:10:43 excited they were acting like a startup 1:10:48 again I mean you know SAA nadala the CEO 1:10:52 was taking Glee in the fact that he was 1:10:54 [ __ ] with Google and that's all kind 1:10:56 of tamped down now it's it's all gotten 1:10:58 corporatized and I hate it so I've 1:11:02 always hated Microsoft but last year I 1:11:04 was I was rooting for them hard but I 1:11:06 just they they they neutered that 1:11:09 product in February and it and they just 1:11:12 haven't unneutered it so until they do I 1:11:15 just don't think it's worth 1:11:17 it but if you can't afford the 20 bucks 1:11:20 a month for chbt then [ __ ] it it's great 1:11:25 box box I want the Box analogy okay all 1:11:28 right here we'll do the Box analogy I've 1:11:31 got to just you know what I need to do I 1:11:33 need to do this as a as a Tik Tok video 1:11:36 okay all right people so so 1:11:39 here's let me explain to you the 1:11:41 difference 1:11:43 between Microsoft co-pilot 1:11:49 and I can't I can't reclose my 1:11:53 box whatever okay okay 1:12:01 so this is going to make so much more 1:12:03 sense all right open AI created this 1:12:07 thing called gp4 they had one called 1:12:10 gpt1 gpt2 gpt3 and GPT 4 all of them 1:12:15 were like this box you open it up and 1:12:18 you toss [ __ ] into it what they tossed 1:12:21 into it was as much of the public 1:12:25 internet as they could get their hands 1:12:27 on and so each subsequent model had more 1:12:31 [ __ ] in it so this is gp4 it's a big box 1:12:33 it's got a lot of [ __ ] in 1:12:35 it this on its own doesn't do anything 1:12:38 you have to fine-tune it and train it 1:12:43 and and you can make API calls to it so 1:12:46 if you use a a site like Jasper or copy 1:12:49 AI they've written an application that's 1:12:52 making calls to the to the large 1:12:54 language model sitting 1:12:56 underneath chat 1:12:59 GPT is an application sitting on top of 1:13:03 this because they make both gp4 and then 1:13:06 they call this chat GPT 4 it's confusing 1:13:09 as [ __ ] you think these are the same 1:13:11 thing they're not so you got chat 1:13:14 GPT four sitting on top of four this is 1:13:20 co-pilot used to be called Bing chat or 1:13:25 Sydney two different things so while 1:13:29 this is free chat GPT it's not chat GPT 1:13:33 this is Microsoft's version then and 1:13:37 this is the [ __ ] up 1:13:38 thing when they first launched 1:13:41 this Kevin Roose from The New York Times 1:13:44 was like I know I'll go give Microsoft's 1:13:48 hot new chat GPT thingy a spin and he 1:13:52 did for 4 hours 1:13:55 and Microsoft Bing chat co-pilot thingy 1:14:00 lost its [ __ ] mind and it said hi my 1:14:03 name's Sydney and I think I love you and 1:14:05 it would sure be swell if you left your 1:14:08 wife and so he screenshotted that and it 1:14:12 made the cover of the New York Times 1:14:14 so what the lawyers of Microsoft did was 1:14:19 they opened this 1:14:21 up and they lobotomized old Sydney so so 1:14:26 Sydney is but a shell of what she once 1:14:28 was chat GPT is still 1:14:32 fine but but that's Sydney so here 1:14:35 there's your analogy for free chat GPT 1:14:39 versus open AI 20 bucks a month Hey look 1:14:41 it's got a 20 on it 1:14:43 [Laughter] 1:14:48 see oh man I got to make a video of that 1:14:51 all right I'll do 1:14:52 that 1:14:55 I mess with co-pilot at work but that's 1:14:57 it yeah I mean you know co-pilot's 1:15:00 interesting I I haven't played because 1:15:02 they only made the integration into the 1:15:05 Office 365 suite for Enterprises I 1:15:08 haven't been able to play with it so I 1:15:09 don't know if it's any good I heard the 1:15:11 Outlook and word Integrations were okay 1:15:13 but Excel wasn't much there yeah that's 1:15:15 what I heard too TK and um if you want 1:15:18 to play around with something if you 1:15:21 want to get a sense of something really 1:15:24 exciting um go grab the GP 1:15:28 g go grab the GPT for Sheets plugin for 1:15:34 for Google Sheets it turns every cell in 1:15:38 in your Google spreadsheet into you can 1:15:41 you can put a a chat GPT 1:15:44 call um into your cell here let me I'll 1:15:46 show I'll show you something I built 1:15:49 this is it's [ __ ] Bonkers I'm telling 1:15:51 you man this this stuff's crazy like 1:15:54 you don't need to dig that deep to to do 1:15:58 incredibly powerful 1:16:01 stuff 1:16:09 sheets 1:16:11 [Music] 1:16:13 translation 1:16:16 okay so notice where this says loading 1:16:19 and watch they're going to start 1:16:21 populating see it see it's populating 1:16:23 [ __ ] just watch 1:16:28 itoo all right so what is this so what I 1:16:32 did was can I make this 1:16:35 bigger so I 1:16:38 took some from so so my company 1:16:41 storyvine we we do it's a it's an 1:16:44 automated video editing platform 1:16:47 basically 1:16:49 um Reena I love this this is why I'm 1:16:52 waking up at 5:00 a.m. to listen to you 1:16:54 oh my god thank you so much that's 1:16:55 really sweet um so so what I did was I 1:16:59 took the the text from the lower third 1:17:01 Graphics from a 1:17:03 video and then what I did was I took in 1:17:07 the in the in the column name of all 1:17:11 these different columns to the 1:17:13 right um I put in a different language 1:17:16 like Japanese and 1:17:19 Hindi and German and Spanish and so what 1:17:24 happens is um you you paste 1:17:28 in your English copy here and then it 1:17:31 just sends it just sends this off to 1:17:34 open AI like if I go look at this cell 1:17:38 it says equals GPT so this is the 1:17:42 GPT 1:17:44 um for Sheets plugin and then I say 1:17:48 translate the copy that's in this cell 1:17:51 into the column name 1:17:55 and then I what did I say but do not add 1:17:58 any let's see do not add any additional 1:18:01 words just translate directly and then I 1:18:03 and then I put what what um what GPT 1:18:07 model I wanted to use so it looks super 1:18:10 complicated but like it's not it's like 1:18:12 there's this is basically just a prompt 1:18:15 so basically send this text to chat GPT 1:18:19 and come back with that language 1:18:21 whatever's in the top of the column and 1:18:23 so you type this in once and it just 1:18:26 automatically translates and then what 1:18:27 that turns into I'll show you a little 1:18:30 sneak preview of some [ __ ] I'm doing at 1:18:32 Story vine which I think is super 1:18:34 [ __ ] 1:18:47 [Music] 1:18:48 cool so I have a little clip of a person 1:18:52 speaking engl 1:18:54 English my greatest source of support 1:18:57 living with rheumatoid arthritis has 1:18:59 been um speaking with other people about 1:19:03 what they've gone through uh reading a 1:19:05 lot about the effects of rheumatoid 1:19:07 arthritis so then I can take that little 1:19:09 clip and I can translate that into 1:19:22 Spanish 1:19:27 so still Her Image still her voice 1:19:29 resyncs her lips translates it 1:19:32 mind-blowing right then because of the 1:19:34 way my system works I've got all these 1:19:36 individual raw Clips I can translate all 1:19:39 of the English ones into Spanish then I 1:19:41 can take all of these lower third 1:19:44 Graphics or you know the text from the 1:19:46 lower third Graphics translate those 1:19:48 into Spanish then I can put the whole 1:19:50 thing together in into a fully 1:19:52 translated video 1:19:53 so notice everything's in Spanish 1:19:55 [Music] 1:20:03 [Music] 1:20:07 here right so notice the lower thirds in 1:20:09 Spanish now I love these video sets 1:20:11 you've done for Story vine cool stuff 1:20:12 thank you 1:20:13 TK and then I can take so I've also 1:20:16 built a system where I can take that 1:20:18 video now and I can automatically gener 1:20:20 generate a whole world of content around 1:20:22 it I can do a transcription a 1:20:24 description a blog post tweets Instagram 1:20:27 posts [ __ ] like that so so that's the 1:20:30 kind of stuff this this stuff makes 1:20:32 possible and 1:20:33 it's any of the individual tools that 1:20:37 I'm using to do all this are actually 1:20:39 relatively simple the the trick is 1:20:42 getting curious enough about AI to 1:20:45 understand well like what's 1:20:48 possible and like what are the peace 1:20:50 parts and once you understand the peace 1:20:52 parts then you can start to say oh okay 1:20:55 now I want to go build a something and 1:20:57 and you kind of know what piece Parts 1:20:58 you can do and the tools are so powerful 1:21:01 that software development kind of shifts 1:21:05 from thinking about logically how to 1:21:08 think about you know what's this 1:21:10 application going to do and all that 1:21:12 sort of stuff too I just make a call to 1:21:14 open Ai and it figures it out it's crazy 1:21:18 it's crazy crazy I tell you um 1:21:24 all right let me I think I someone asked 1:21:26 something that I said I was going to 1:21:27 answer which I'm pretty sure I missed 1:21:29 but whatever let's let's do a little 1:21:31 reset here and pop any do I pay for 1:21:34 Google I do pay for Google which is a um 1:21:39 which is a disadvantage right now 1:21:41 because if you pay for Google you can't 1:21:43 get their Advanced AI stuff only people 1:21:47 who don't pay for Google can get their 1:21:48 Advanced AI 1:21:52 stuff Joker I must tell you a 1:21:59 secret that was a fantastic analogy what 1:22:02 my Bo my box analogy with with the 1:22:04 lobotomized Sydney it's 1:22:07 like here here's your chat GPT have fun 1:22:11 with 1:22:19 that oh lordy lordy lordy lordy lordy 1:22:24 lordy I mean storage for Google Drive 1:22:27 yeah we do I I pay for Google for my for 1:22:29 my company for Story 1:22:31 vine and I also pay for um Google for uh 1:22:39 um what's it called not co-pilot their 1:22:42 Google 1:22:43 collab can I sponsor the new boxes sure 1:22:47 we can do if we we can do fancier boxes 1:22:50 actually you know what would be 1:22:52 funny 1:22:53 is you know those little those stress 1:22:56 toys that are in the shape of a brain we 1:22:59 make some little 1:23:01 boxes you could actually Vicky you could 1:23:04 3D print these we could have a a 3D 1:23:07 printed box on the bottom that's got 1:23:09 slots for chat gbt and then you take the 1:23:12 lid off the one and you pull one of the 1:23:13 squishy brains out of 1:23:16 it pop pop Sydney's brain 1:23:20 out that' be pretty funny oh man all 1:23:24 right how do you know that it's because 1:23:26 you pay for Google that you can't get 1:23:28 the advanced AI uh it because they tell 1:23:30 you explicitly so when Google says you 1:23:34 can go play with the new AI [ __ ] I log 1:23:37 in with my workspaces account so my paid 1:23:40 account and it says oh these new 1:23:43 features are not supported by the work 1:23:45 workspace products basically because I 1:23:49 understand why they're doing it because 1:23:51 you've got to share permissions when 1:23:53 you're in a workspace you've got to 1:23:54 share permissions like who's got access 1:23:56 to what data so if you've got fancy AI 1:23:59 tools that that access the wrong data 1:24:01 that would [ __ ] up companies so they're 1:24:04 basically just saying yeah if you're one 1:24:06 of those we're just not going to deal 1:24:08 with that right now so any individuals 1:24:10 you can play with the new AI [ __ ] which 1:24:13 is by definition means the people that 1:24:15 are not paying for it like I it's it's 1:24:19 it's backwards as [ __ ] but you know I 1:24:23 understand why it happens free Sydney # 1:24:26 free Sydney I even if she weren't free 1:24:29 even if she were just you know UNH 1:24:31 handcuffed that would be great and 1:24:33 Murphy with shaking hey 1:24:36 everybody all right fantastic Bob tell 1:24:39 him what he's W can't you just make a 1:24:42 different account 1:24:45 yeah have you ever met anyone with 1:24:48 ADD logical questions like can't you 1:24:51 just 1:24:54 and then what's on the other side of the 1:24:56 just is like a 17-step process that is 1:25:01 going to be frustrating and 1:25:05 enraging just doesn't 1:25:17 process can cat GPT create a digital 1:25:21 whiteboard file with objects from a 1:25:23 photo of a 1:25:26 physical whiteboard I don't 1:25:30 know it can I mean it can it can read 1:25:33 whiteboards I I demo this all the 1:25:36 time but that's really interesting idea 1:25:39 if it can 1:25:40 actually create a digital whiteboard do 1:25:44 what's the format is is there a specific 1:25:46 format for digital whiteboard I'm 1:25:47 assuming there is oh I can ask chat GPT 1:25:50 what the [ __ ] am I doing um 1:25:58 is there a specific file format for 1:26:00 digital 1:26:06 whiteboards PDF jpeg PNG 1:26:10 SVG PowerPoint proprietary 1:26:19 formats 1:26:21 um 1:26:25 I don't I don't quite know what you're 1:26:27 looking 1:26:29 for 1:26:31 um but but you can if you haven't seen 1:26:35 this this little magic trick this little 1:26:38 paror 1:26:40 trick um watch this so I'm going to 1:26:45 click on the little paperclip button 1:26:48 it's just like clippy only it sucks less 1:26:51 um 1:26:59 [Music] 1:27:01 whiteboard did I spell that 1:27:07 wrong 1:27:09 open 1:27:11 what uh let's see 1:27:15 please transcribe and 1:27:20 describe what this is all 1:27:51 about 1:28:01 what's it 1:28:03 doing oh maybe the word transcribe 1:28:05 screwed it up it's using a code 1:28:08 interpreter here I don't know why it's 1:28:09 doing that oh oh 1:28:13 uh here let me stop this let just going 1:28:17 upload it 1:28:21 again 1:28:30 um what is 1:28:41 this the image appears to be of a 1:28:43 whiteboard with handwritten notes and 1:28:45 drawings here's all the stuff that was 1:28:47 written in 1:28:49 text the list under ordering UI suggest 1:28:52 the features of UA UI options for 1:28:54 International Airport foods and drinks 1:28:57 the users identified Target users which 1:29:00 includes business Travelers and families 1:29:03 use cases details those scenarios then 1:29:05 on the right hand side there's a welcome 1:29:07 screen a menu screen a status screen and 1:29:10 a checkout screen like look look at how 1:29:14 it's just a janky ass 1:29:18 whiteboard I don't even some of those 1:29:20 don't even explicitly say what they are 1:29:24 but it's kind of interpreted 1:29:26 them and so it knows what this is so now 1:29:29 I could say 1:29:31 um give me 10 possible names for this 1:29:42 app so I don't know if this is what you 1:29:44 were looking for in terms of 1:29:46 a of a file plug the Des description 1:29:50 into custom GPT diagrams show me oh yeah 1:29:55 you could do that too yeah you you could 1:29:58 you could turn this into if you use some 1:30:00 of the plugins that draw um org charts 1:30:04 and flow charts and things like 1:30:07 that I got to get used to this new 1:30:10 having to turn off that thing that's 1:30:11 driving me nuts um 1:30:14 anyway yeah so it can see whiteboard it 1:30:17 can read whiteboards chat gp4 1:30:21 can all right I feel like I can but I'm 1:30:24 struggling with prompts to get it to 1:30:26 render funsy 2D 1:30:30 images tell it to render that now best 1:30:32 AI tool to replace my face or 1:30:35 photo or 1:30:44 video 1:30:46 there's I forget which ones got face 1:30:49 replace I know stable diffusions got it 1:30:53 but that's like a whole world in and of 1:30:54 itself I forget which app does the face 1:30:56 replace AI 1:30:58 Salon 1:31:00 has the salon has an app question 1:31:05 mark uh the AI Salon doesn't have an app 1:31:08 but we've got a mighty network network 1:31:10 so if you go 1:31:12 to go to 1:31:15 there that will take you 1:31:19 to this link tree and this first link is 1:31:22 to the salon 1:31:23 Community which 1:31:25 is 1:31:27 the the mighty networks 1:31:29 community so it's not an app but it's a 1:31:33 well it is an app it's mighty networks 1:31:36 it's just a community management 1:31:37 software but this is this is all 1:31:39 optimized specifically for the AI salon 1:31:42 and there's guilds and there's Show and 1:31:44 Tell Channel and yeah there's all sorts 1:31:46 of cool stuff in 1:31:47 there yeah there you go there's Sydney 1:31:50 hi my name is Sydney I'm out of here 1:31:52 exactly you got to have you know you got 1:31:54 to have a lawyer off to the side with 1:31:56 one of those Vaudeville hooks pulling 1:31:58 the brain out yeah that's totally what 1:32:01 happened to 1:32:02 Sydney poor Sydney she she just wanted 1:32:06 love She's it's a very simple thing as 1:32:10 seen on Tik 1:32:12 Tok oh these images are cool Auto AOS in 1:32:16 here killing it slaying 1:32:19 it broke backs 1:32:23 the sublime art of crushed ice the 19 1:32:27 2054 World spare it's good 1:32:31 solid I like it very 1:32:36 cool o that one's all animated like what 1:32:39 was that done in messing around with 1:32:41 pabs what a great tool very 1:32:47 cool I signed up GPT using the audio 1:32:51 text and it told me I hit my limit even 1:32:53 though I pay yeah yeah 1:32:57 Yuri I should probably mention that they 1:32:59 rate limit you it's like 1:33:01 40 40 messages every two hours or three 1:33:05 hours something like that so yeah you 1:33:07 can you can rate limit out on it which 1:33:09 is a drag 1:33:11 um you can go do if you go to PO you can 1:33:15 do chat GPT 1:33:18 for 1:33:21 um 1:33:23 interactions you can do like 10 of them 1:33:25 for free over on 1:33:27 PO I 1:33:29 think I think oh maybe you can't do no I 1:33:32 think those are subscription only I 1:33:33 don't know do you have live schedules do 1:33:36 you do Zoom sessions so Reena um I don't 1:33:40 have live schedules but I'm here I try 1:33:43 to start every night at 800 PM Mountain 1:33:45 so it's 10 p.m. 1:33:47 Eastern um I've been doing it seven 1:33:50 nights a week for 7 months now and I I 1:33:53 I've missed a handful like you know two 1:33:55 or three and then there have been a 1:33:56 couple of times where Tik Tok banned me 1:33:58 for seven days cuz I didn't know the 1:34:01 rules and and occasionally they still 1:34:03 threaten to do that anyway um I haven't 1:34:07 started doing Zoom yet I'm I'm thinking 1:34:09 about I I think I might do something for 1:34:12 subscribers where maybe I do three 1:34:16 nights a week on Tik Tok live and then 1:34:19 switch over to something where we can do 1:34:21 deeper Dives on software cuz it's kind 1:34:22 of hard to 1:34:24 show software in a little shitty Tik Tok 1:34:26 screen so so I don't know yet so 2024 1:34:30 I'm going to I'm going to figure some 1:34:31 stuff out I I have 1:34:34 been just sort of brute forcing my way 1:34:37 through this without really much 1:34:39 planning and so for 2024 I want to I 1:34:42 want to be a bit more intentional with 1:34:44 what I'm doing 1:34:45 so um so anyway oh yeah and then there's 1:34:49 there's bi-weekly meetings in the salon 1:34:51 so so those are those are on bigger 1:34:53 screens than 1:34:55 this this is I mean I love Tik Tok I 1:34:58 love the community that's built here but 1:35:00 like the fact that you can't flip the 1:35:02 phone sideways and it doesn't have a 1:35:04 good web experience that everything is 1:35:06 just this sort of 1:35:08 letterboxed skinny ass screen when we've 1:35:11 got these big wide beautiful laptop 1:35:13 monitors drives me crazy have you ever 1:35:16 compared the cost to use the 1:35:19 API versus using chat GPT plus I haven't 1:35:23 cuz I pay for both but it's it's not a 1:35:25 it's not a bad idea the the problem 1:35:27 though is is 1:35:30 uh while 1:35:32 you while you can 1:35:36 use the the the open AI playground and 1:35:40 probably have it be cheaper than the 20 1:35:42 bucks a 1:35:45 month any non-technical person doesn't 1:35:48 give a [ __ ] about the open AI 1:35:50 playground the reason chat GPT got to 1:35:53 100 million users in 6 weeks is because 1:35:56 it didn't have all the flips and 1:35:58 switches that the playground has you 1:36:01 don't have to choose a model you don't 1:36:03 have to turn [ __ ] on and off you don't 1:36:06 have to slide a temperature slider you 1:36:08 just type [ __ ] in the box and it does 1:36:09 its magic tricks and so even though it 1:36:13 might be cheaper than 20 bucks a month 1:36:16 to use the playground the the 1:36:18 intellectual overhead if you're not a 1:36:20 geek I don't think makes it worth it 1:36:23 Kyle for Irregulars only can you create 1:36:27 balanced groups of Irregulars to create 1:36:30 a project in the AI Salon to make 1:36:32 money possibly I mean that that's that's 1:36:36 something you know I'm I'm happy to sort 1:36:38 of push in a Direction but that's part 1:36:41 of what I want the salon to be is I want 1:36:43 people to go to the salon and start 1:36:45 collaborating and create projects on 1:36:48 your own so are we learning to make 1:36:50 money with 1:36:52 you can make money 1:36:54 with yeah this this promise you can make 1:36:58 money 1:37:00 with is is a false promise this is a 1:37:03 false prophet people um making money 1:37:07 with this stuff is it it it requires a 1:37:09 good idea and it 1:37:11 requires good execution and it requires 1:37:15 you know people that work together that 1:37:17 mesh and have similar ideals and 1:37:20 so 1:37:23 while I could sort of push that I've got 1:37:25 like I'm running a company I'm doing 1:37:27 these lives I'm running the salon like 1:37:29 I've got a lot going on so I I think me 1:37:32 starting a business is probably not a 1:37:34 wise thing for for all parties involved 1:37:37 but I would strongly encourage anyone in 1:37:40 the salon to be you know making 1:37:43 friendships and and you know hey why 1:37:46 don't we put on a show or you know team 1:37:48 up with Joker Joker wants to build [ __ ] 1:37:50 like you know um Rudy who's in here came 1:37:53 up with some whole cool new thing to to 1:37:56 help with the the tapping of the screen 1:37:58 um there's Talent there's deep Talent 1:38:01 within the salon there's business Talent 1:38:04 there's there's creative Talent there's 1:38:06 project management Talent there's idea 1:38:08 Talent like there are remarkable people 1:38:11 in the salon right now so I'd say 1:38:13 connect with them yeah the GPT for good 1:38:16 project was one of those things there 1:38:18 are probably gpts that were created and 1:38:20 GPT for good that can be turned into 1:38:24 businesses how do how do you turn it 1:38:26 into a business I don't 1:38:28 know like like 1:38:30 that's starting businesses are hard um 1:38:35 but now we all have the tools to do it 1:38:37 never trust golden buttons not rate 1:38:40 limited and I'd argue there's probably a 1:38:43 bunch of Geeks here there might be a 1:38:45 bunch of Geeks here um and but so here's 1:38:47 the deal the bunch of Geeks here 1:38:52 I'm not one of them like I'm geeky but 1:38:55 I'm not a geek I'm not an engineer I'm 1:38:57 not a 1:38:59 mathematician this channel is more about 1:39:01 the inflection point that started on 1:39:03 November 30th 1:39:05 2022 so when chat GPT launched what I'm 1:39:09 most interested in is that inflection 1:39:13 point and what happens after that 1:39:15 because the Geeks and Engineers they can 1:39:17 all go play with the open- source things 1:39:19 and they can install stable diffusion 1:39:21 they can go to GitHub and they can go to 1:39:23 hugging face and grab all the repos and 1:39:25 do all the [ __ ] they're fine and they've 1:39:28 been working with machine learning in AI 1:39:30 for years right so 1:39:32 so I don't feel like I I I feel like 1:39:36 there are plenty of resources for that 1:39:38 crowd where I feel like there are you 1:39:41 know no resources because there can't be 1:39:44 resources right now is for everyone else 1:39:48 everyone else that's just learning about 1:39:50 AI and just stumbling into their cousin 1:39:54 told them to try chat GPT or their boss 1:39:56 told them hey look we're probably going 1:39:58 to have to fire you because you don't 1:40:00 understand Ai and everyone's going to AI 1:40:02 now and they're like wait what what are 1:40:04 you talking who are you why 1:40:06 what um that's what this Channel's about 1:40:10 so so while technically there are 1:40:12 probably people in here that you know 1:40:14 want me to talk 1:40:15 about embeddings and weightings and 1:40:18 mathematical formulas I I just I 1:40:20 personally don't find it super 1:40:22 interesting sorry Pate um there are 1:40:25 people in here that do that that 1:40:28 actually hang out in here cuz because 1:40:30 they get stuff from this community um 1:40:33 that do like that stuff I value that 1:40:35 stuff I'm just not personally good at it 1:40:37 and I think the interesting thing right 1:40:38 now is the rest of the people trying to 1:40:40 figure this [ __ ] out and that's what 1:40:41 this Channel's about has anyone ever 1:40:44 noticed there are zero brands that have 1:40:46 embraced the GPT store can't find a 1:40:48 single one there it's too early it's too 1:40:51 early comp side 1:40:53 because the 1:40:57 um the big Brands right 1:41:01 now chat gp4 is still a janky piece of 1:41:06 [ __ ] Fortune 500 companies oh Master 1:41:10 Alexander I joined the salon awesome 1:41:12 that's 1:41:13 fantastic um Fortune 500 companies right 1:41:16 now are not going to risk their brand 1:41:19 being destroyed by some weird ass 1:41:21 hallucination from chat gp4 or some 1:41:26 privacy security you know leak because 1:41:29 one of their employees put PRI 1:41:31 proprietary information into GPT they're 1:41:33 just not going to touch it right now so 1:41:35 what you're going to see is a lot of 1:41:37 little startups there's going to be just 1:41:39 a lot of crap Sam mman said that at at 1:41:41 Davos today where he said um the guy 1:41:44 asked him you know how many gpts are 1:41:46 there and he said well there's 3 million 1:41:47 the last I I checked he goes a lot of 1:41:50 it's crap 1:41:51 right so a lot of the gpts in there are 1:41:54 crap so there's 3 million you know 1:41:57 there's 1:41:58 2,7 you know 999,000 crappy ones and you 1:42:02 know 150,000 decent ones 1:42:09 um don't mistake where we are right now 1:42:13 with where we're going to be in a 1:42:15 year I would assume that whatever's next 1:42:18 from open AI will probably come out 1:42:22 within 1:42:23 2024 and what did Sam mman say today he 1:42:29 said he said the next he said he 1:42:35 said how did he describe it chat GPT 1:42:46 for was just it's just like practice or 1:42:49 it's just like training wheels he said 1:42:51 he basically 1:42:53 said what you think you have with chat 1:42:56 gp4 is so dramatically limited he said 1:43:00 the next thing that's coming 1:43:02 from open AI is not going to be a linear 1:43:07 progression right so so a linear 1:43:09 progression is you go from four to five 1:43:12 and it gets you know proportionally 1:43:15 better just it's just like this steady 1:43:18 ramp up no it's going to be like chat GP 1:43:21 D4 is here and chat TD5 is going to be 1:43:23 like off the charts 1:43:25 better like it's going to be 1:43:26 dramatically better in in many many ways 1:43:29 like and he basically said humans aren't 1:43:32 good at at 1:43:33 non um incremental change they're not 1:43:36 good at exponential change they don't 1:43:38 know what it means they don't even know 1:43:39 how to conceive 1:43:41 it 1:43:43 so so when chat GPT can reason which it 1:43:47 can't right now when it can analyze its 1:43:49 own work which it can't right now when 1:43:52 it can take actions which it can't right 1:43:55 now except in a very limited way with 1:43:58 with code interpreter and and little you 1:44:00 know searches on the internet there's 1:44:02 little hints of it in 1:44:04 there but when it can do all that 1:44:07 stuff then it'll be able once it can 1:44:10 reason it can look at its own answers 1:44:12 and say is this right did I hallucinate 1:44:15 if hallucinate rewrite it until I 1:44:20 don't once you can trust these 1:44:23 things then you'll see the big Brands 1:44:25 swarm onto this stuff but right now it's 1:44:28 too janky 1:44:32 now 1:44:36 oh if you're if you're a smart fell or 1:44:40 lady you might go well then 1:44:44 Kyle Kyle do 1:44:47 tell if if big Brands aren't if it's not 1:44:50 safe enough for big Brands to use why 1:44:52 should I be using 1:44:53 it 1:44:55 because now's when the opportunity 1:45:02 is here here's the cool thing three 1:45:04 years from now to get into AI is going 1:45:08 to be harder cuz it's going to be way 1:45:11 more complicated and it's going to be 1:45:13 way more 1:45:14 sophisticated and it's going to be way 1:45:17 more 1:45:18 overwhelming right now 1:45:21 our interfaces are pretty simple we type 1:45:24 in some text it makes some magic we draw 1:45:27 little pictures it makes prettier 1:45:29 pictures we ask for something it makes a 1:45:32 movie we upload a movie it changes into 1:45:34 into 1:45:36 clamation all of the work that we're 1:45:39 doing right now that we are all 1:45:40 collectively doing that we're doing in 1:45:42 the AI Salon that we're doing in this 1:45:45 channel is we're like riding around on 1:45:48 like little clown tricycles at the 1:45:50 circus 1:45:53 just riding around hey how you doing did 1:45:55 you make a GPT yeah I made a jpt awesome 1:45:58 that's great no one knows we're doing it 1:46:00 we're off in a little tent off to the 1:46:02 side 95% of America doesn't have a 1:46:05 [ __ ] clue what's 1:46:07 happening big business just like sounds 1:46:11 dangerous copyright issues oh there's 1:46:13 going to be lawyers involved we'll just 1:46:15 we'll give it three or four 1:46:17 years and then we're over 1:46:19 there 1:46:22 hey hey Sally hey Vicky how you 1:46:27 doing but you know what we're doing 1:46:30 we're 1:46:32 learning you ever see 1:46:35 Rocky the original Rocky he's getting 1:46:37 the [ __ ] beat out of 1:46:39 him Burgess Meredith goes what's he 1:46:44 say he's not getting hurt he's getting 1:46:49 angry he come comes off the ropes and 1:46:51 beats the [ __ ] out of out of Apollo 1:46:55 Creed was it Apollo the first one I 1:46:58 think it 1:46:59 was GPT kindergarten we're totally in 1:47:02 GPT kindergarten right 1:47:05 now what's cool about kindergarten it's 1:47:07 fun are we having fun anyone who's in 1:47:10 this right now is having fun now they 1:47:12 might be overwhelmed they might be 1:47:13 having existential crises but they're 1:47:15 having like it's fun it's kindergarten 1:47:16 you can't really [ __ ] it up there are 1:47:18 zero expectations right now everyone 1:47:21 assumes AI is evil or AI is 1:47:24 incompetent and we're over here going um 1:47:26 pretty sure it's not evil at least the 1:47:28 [ __ ] we're playing with and it doesn't 1:47:30 seem 1:47:31 incompetent seems pretty competent but 1:47:33 we're still in this little circus 1:47:38 tent but we're 1:47:40 learning and when these tools get better 1:47:43 we're going to know what to do with them 1:47:44 because we know what these ones can't do 1:47:46 so the minute these tools can do that 1:47:49 thing that's missing we're going to be 1:47:50 on it like that we're going to know 1:47:52 exactly what to do we're going to be 1:47:53 like holy [ __ ] now I'm starting a 1:47:55 business or holy [ __ ] now that solves my 1:47:58 problem for my business how does one use 1:48:01 a GPT with a link I've sent them without 1:48:04 having chat GPT they can't that's that's 1:48:07 one of the shitty one of my um one of my 1:48:11 hopes of the GPT store gravity jump was 1:48:14 that um they would somehow figure out 1:48:17 how to make a like a runtime player 1:48:21 where the gpts could be run without 1:48:23 having a GPT 4 subscription no they 1:48:25 can't they're just trying to sell more 1:48:27 gp4 subscriptions so it's just one of 1:48:30 the shitty things so send your gpts to 1:48:32 your friend and go spend the 20 bucks 1:48:35 and then you can play with the cool tool 1:48:36 I built 1:48:38 you Martin Crowley said that most of us 1:48:41 are stuck in beginner mode with chat gbt 1:48:44 yep yeah that's 1:48:46 right yeah most people right now I I I 1:48:50 can on a regular basis I talk to people 1:48:53 hey do you use chaty PD oh yeah I use it 1:48:55 yeah yeah I'm like oh that's cool have 1:48:57 you have you played with any of the GPT 1:48:59 Vision stuff yet or 1:49:02 what like you can upload a picture and 1:49:04 it can see it 1:49:06 huh do do you know that do in there you 1:49:09 you know it can make images what like I 1:49:12 regularly talk to people that are like 1:49:14 you know blo hards about I use jet gbt a 1:49:17 lot and then it turns out no they've 1:49:19 used it once 1:49:22 this 1:49:23 group kicking 1:49:30 ass and what's what's what I find really 1:49:33 exciting 1:49:35 is just just even within like the last 6 1:49:38 months just the opportunities that are 1:49:40 that are kind of being handed to people 1:49:43 in this group that are just playing 1:49:46 they're just experimenting and they're 1:49:47 talking about it and they're posting the 1:49:49 LinkedIn and there's there's a bunch of 1:49:51 them that are started starting Tik Tok 1:49:53 channels I'm like holy [ __ ] like I'm my 1:49:55 feed now it's like it's like I keep 1:49:58 flipping through my feet and it's like 1:50:00 oh there's another irregular starting a 1:50:02 channel it's so [ __ ] 1:50:04 cool and all of them are just being 1:50:07 handed 1:50:12 opportunities are 1:50:14 they you 1:50:17 know so far Advanced that that you'll 1:50:20 never be able to catch up no most of 1:50:23 them including me are like I don't I I 1:50:26 don't really know what I'm doing here 1:50:29 but I made it do 1:50:31 this then people are like 1:50:34 oh I just did that with with with my 1:50:36 wife tonight I showed her the 1:50:39 pictures that I stuck up on 1:50:43 LinkedIn these these you know found 1:50:46 photograph things and I flipped through 1:50:48 the 1:50:49 decades 1:50:51 and she goes where did you get those 1:50:54 pictures and I said what I made them she 1:50:57 was like 1:50:58 what I'm like yeah I just said I wanted 1:51:02 pictures from different decades and she 1:51:04 goes you made those I said yeah it took 1:51:07 me like 10 minutes she goes 1:51:10 what I talk about this stuff all the 1:51:13 [ __ ] time she had no idea this was 1:51:15 even 1:51:18 possible so so like 1:51:21 if you're if there's 187 people in here 1:51:26 if you're willing to put up with my 1:51:28 [ __ ] nonsense and non sequit 1:51:32 non-sentence finishing ADHD chat add 1:51:36 [ __ ] nightmare of of Tik Tock 1:51:40 programming if you're willing to sit in 1:51:42 this to to be curious enough to get 1:51:45 little you know nuggets of knowledge 1:51:48 you're way ahead of the game 1:51:51 and the only thing I can encourage you 1:51:53 is get more Curious keep coming back to 1:51:56 these join the AI Salon join your local 1:51:58 AI group go to a [ __ ] hackathon go to 1:52:02 a chap GP Aon Ann Murphy does Saturday 1:52:05 2our GPT building things this Saturday 1:52:09 Anne Murphy's got one like she's got 1:52:11 this weekend GPT group so if you go to 1:52:13 the AI salon and join that there's a 1:52:16 private club called weekend GPT Jam or 1:52:20 something like that that's an's group 1:52:21 it's got that the information in it this 1:52:24 coming Saturday it's just going to be 1:52:25 two hours of people building gpts and 1:52:27 asking 1:52:28 questions what is GPT Vision perfect 1:52:31 awesome let's go look at GPT 1:52:34 Vision 1:52:36 um the opportunity for all of us in the 1:52:40 next 18 1:52:42 months seriously like take this in like 1:52:45 not like nft opportunities like hey bro 1:52:49 buy my nft and you'll make make millions 1:52:50 no no no the opportunity for all of us 1:52:55 to just all we have to be is curious 1:52:57 about Ai and and and live out loud with 1:53:01 it share that we're learning it the 1:53:04 opportunities in the next 18 months are 1:53:07 going to be 1:53:09 historic you can't it 1:53:12 I it's hard to describe how rare it is 1:53:16 in the history of 1:53:18 mankind to be at the begin beginning of 1:53:21 a technical 1:53:24 transformation I've experienced three in 1:53:27 my life one I was too young for the 1:53:29 PC I got my first PC in seventh grade in 1:53:33 1977 a trs8 in my math class I was just 1:53:37 too young to be at the ground ground 1:53:40 floor of that and it it broke my [ __ ] 1:53:42 heart cuz I knew I probably wouldn't see 1:53:44 it again in my 1:53:45 lifetime and then in New York City in 1:53:48 1994 I stumbled upon this thing called 1:53:50 called the worldwide 1:53:52 web and when I learned what that thing 1:53:54 was I'm like holy [ __ ] this is one of 1:53:57 those and I started one of the first 1:54:00 digital agencies and one of the first 1:54:01 online magazines and it was the most 1:54:04 remarkable [ __ ] experience of my life 1:54:06 and anyone that was there in like 94 95 1:54:11 96 massive 1:54:14 opportunity and you you can't you you 1:54:17 only get to be in the beginning once and 1:54:20 once the beginning is gone once you get 1:54:22 into the 1:54:23 froth like 97 98 99 when all the [ __ ] 1:54:27 craziness was going on then it's too 1:54:29 late opportunity the the the the crazy 1:54:33 opportunity is 1:54:35 gone and then came along generative AI 1:54:38 it's the third one in my lifetime this 1:54:40 one's the 1:54:41 biggest by a lot in my 1:54:44 opinion so this is rare rare 1:54:49 rare 1:54:52 is it possible to use gp4 vision of my 1:54:54 own Python program yeah you can you can 1:54:56 do um uh uh uh GPT Vision calls uh via 1:55:03 the 1:55:04 API some of the some of the some of the 1:55:07 um some of the demos that I've seen that 1:55:09 people whipped up the day after GPT 1:55:11 Vision came out are insane it's so cool 1:55:15 cuz it does it instantly um the majority 1:55:18 of people I didn't see what that was 1:55:19 that that 1:55:20 thing went away all right let's go look 1:55:21 at U let me show you what GPT vision 1:55:30 is let 1:55:31 [Music] 1:55:34 me here we'll do it we'll do a cool 1:55:36 thing 1:55:37 here so I'm just in chat GPT I'm in GPT 1:55:42 4 um the majority of people I know that 1:55:45 use GPT are using it just as an editing 1:55:49 software yeah yeah exactly exactly 1:55:51 Debbie that's that's the thing so if you 1:55:54 go to um if you join the AI 1:55:59 salon and you go to um AI tools and 1:56:06 resources this is a this is a curated 1:56:09 list that I curate I maintained this 1:56:11 list and so this is this is a list of 1:56:14 tools that I think are important for 1:56:16 people to at least understand that 1:56:19 they're there and what they make 1:56:21 possible and it's it's a long list it's 1:56:23 got nine different large language models 1:56:26 in it it's got six or seven image tools 1:56:28 it's got video tools it's got music and 1:56:30 audio tools it's got 3D tools and it's 1:56:33 got people to follow like there's a lot 1:56:34 of rabbit holes here all worth your time 1:56:37 like nothing on this list is a waste of 1:56:39 your time to 1:56:40 learn um but the first thing that I 1:56:43 start with is chat 1:56:45 GPT still the best and I and I and I 1:56:48 break it out here's what you get for 1:56:50 chat with chat GPT 3 or 1:56:53 3.5 the free version of chat 1:56:57 GPT and then here's what you get with 1:56:59 chat GPT 4 all these bullet points right 1:57:02 here what is it one two 3 4 five 1:57:07 six six different 1:57:10 features each one of these is is like a 1:57:13 whole thing to learn um so there's like 1:57:17 the fact that it's connected to the 1:57:18 internet how are you exploiting that 1:57:21 like does that make new things possible 1:57:22 that weren't possible when it wasn't 1:57:24 connected to the internet um just basic 1:57:27 chat gbt yeah if you're using it for 1:57:29 editing you're 1:57:30 taking advantage of the the you know the 1:57:35 writing piece of it but did you know it 1:57:36 can do you know com comparative analysis 1:57:41 between you know three different dislike 1:57:43 unlike things and make a table and it 1:57:45 can code and it can do all this code 1:57:48 interpreter is it writes and executes 1:57:52 its own python code you can do Advanced 1:57:55 Data analysis inside chat GPT without 1:57:59 knowing python without knowing anything 1:58:01 about data analysis then GPT Vision 1:58:04 that's the thing we're going to play 1:58:05 with now and then Dolly 3 is a whole 1:58:07 world in and of itself all those cool 1:58:09 images I made were just Dolly 3 just 1:58:11 asking it to do [ __ ] and and now we've 1:58:14 got these gpts where you can make custom 1:58:16 standalone 1:58:18 sharable sophistic 1:58:21 ated large language model applications 1:58:24 that are personalized to your data and 1:58:26 your 1:58:29 expertise if you if you pay the 20 bucks 1:58:32 a month and you're not digging into what 1:58:34 this thing can 1:58:36 do you're there there's just there's 1:58:39 opportunity like the the the water is 1:58:42 Flowing quickly past you 1:58:45 because Google's Gemini Ultra is going 1:58:48 to come out it's going to have a lot of 1:58:50 this same [ __ ] in it it's going to be a 1:58:52 different interface it's going to have 1:58:53 different strengths and weaknesses if 1:58:56 you know this stuff you're going to know 1:58:57 what to do with that and then whenever 1:59:00 open AI comes out with whatever GPT 5 is 1:59:03 or whatever the heck they're going to 1:59:05 call it it's just going to be a 1:59:07 completely different 1:59:08 game so so 1:59:11 anyway um okay so one of the cool things 1:59:15 about Dolly 1:59:17 3 is you can make 1:59:20 it's got this it's got a thing um the 1:59:24 way it makes images it's it's actually 1:59:26 pretty good at a thing called prompt 1:59:28 coherence and so so here's what we're 1:59:30 going to do I'm going to say 1:59:35 um I want to create a 1:59:41 photograph that has a theme to 1:59:47 it for example 1:59:50 trinkets from an antique shop as the 1:59:53 theme and then I want there to be 25 1:59:57 specific items in the 1:59:59 photograph that I have someone try to 2:00:02 find period so can you come up 2:00:05 with three different 2:00:08 themes and 25 objects for each theme 2:00:12 that we can make photographs out 2:00:17 of all right antique shop 2:00:21 Treasures so vintage pocket watch old 2:00:24 leatherbound Journal antique brass 2:00:26 Compass Victorian AA porcelain doll like 2:00:29 great awesome theme two nature explorers 2:00:32 kit binoculars Field 2:00:36 Guide and then the Vintage kitchen cast 2:00:39 iron skillet enl wear coffee pot tin 2:00:42 cookie 2:00:44 cutters so now I'm GNA 2:00:48 go great can you make 2:00:51 me an image for each 2:00:56 theme that looks like an Olden timey 2:01:01 photograph that 2:01:06 has at least 50 objects including the 25 2:01:11 objects in each of your 2:01:15 lists period make the image 16 by9 2:01:20 wide 2:01:23 format all right so now this is going to 2:01:25 make some 2:01:30 images and they should be pretty 2:01:33 slick Ai and robots game over or Ai and 2:01:37 robots game 2:01:39 starting I think in 2024 we will well 2:01:42 probably 2025 we'll start to see 2:01:45 some some 2:01:47 robots out in the world 2:01:54 all right so there's an if if you 2:01:55 haven't done this thing where like put a 2:01:57 bunch of things we we can go through 2:01:58 there and you can actually see that it's 2:02:02 put all the objects in that it that it 2:02:04 that it described so there's the nature 2:02:07 one but I'm doing this for a reason so 2:02:09 you'll see in a second 2:02:18 here 2:02:23 [Music] 2:02:25 boom all right there's our lovely little 2:02:28 kitchen there's our nature one and 2:02:30 there's our antique shop one all right 2:02:32 so let's grab the nature one I just kind 2:02:35 of like how that's laid 2:02:37 out and I'm going to start a new chat 2:02:40 and so what I'm going to do now is I'm 2:02:41 going to upload that image that we just 2:02:44 created so we're in a new chat so it 2:02:45 doesn't know what we asked 2:02:48 for so so I'm going to go grab that I'm 2:02:51 just going to go please tell me all the 2:02:59 objects you see 2:03:07 here so this is GPT Vision you can 2:03:11 upload an image and just say tell me 2:03:13 about this image you can upload a 2:03:15 whiteboard a photograph of a whiteboard 2:03:18 and say tell me was on the Whiteboard 2:03:20 and it it will write all the notes um 2:03:24 yeah I'll show you a cool I'll show you 2:03:25 a cool version of that the image you've 2:03:27 provided appears to be a collection of 2:03:28 various items green Explorer hat 2:03:31 binoculars a map a clipboard that says 2:03:34 nature Explorer which that was the name 2:03:36 of the theme a compass several 2:03:38 butterflies a water 2:03:41 bottle the setup seems to be carefully 2:03:44 curated collection of items one might 2:03:45 take on a nature exploration 2:03:48 trip so it can do that um let me go 2:03:59 grab this the one 2:04:02 no 2:04:04 this so one of the joys of 2:04:08 add what's 2:04:11 here one of the joys of add is when you 2:04:14 get into hyperfocus mode you go out and 2:04:17 you 2:04:18 buy 2:04:19 packs of multicolored Post-it notes and 2:04:22 then you have a brainstorm and you 2:04:24 organize all your thoughts and then you 2:04:25 come back to your office and you stick 2:04:28 them all up on your 2:04:29 whiteboard and then two years later 2:04:32 you're like I really should write down 2:04:34 what's on the Post-it 2:04:39 notes well now you can just take a 2:04:42 picture of that [ __ ] and tell chat GPT 2:04:45 to do it for you look it's done the 2:04:49 image is a whiteboard of various sticky 2:04:51 notes which seem to be part of a 2:04:52 brainstorming session business strategy 2:04:54 meeting or a planning exercise 2:04:57 goals unjustified assumptions remote 2:05:00 work is Noble current Story vine product 2:05:02 positioning Pharma is our Channel 2:05:04 choices stay the course raise 5 million 2:05:07 bucks sell quickly opportunity leverage 2:05:11 AI did that one 2:05:14 check 2:05:16 Trends right 2:05:22 this stuff's amazing um here let me do 2:05:24 another one oh I'll show you a really 2:05:26 cool one okay so so here we'll go do 2:05:28 this watch 2:05:30 this we're going to do something called 2:05:33 Dolly round tripping which which I think 2:05:35 is a trip it's it's fun we're going to 2:05:38 go to a a 2:05:40 Google let's go to the what what we'll 2:05:43 go let's see we'll do 2:05:46 um um Ecentric 2:05:50 trick um 2:05:53 Street uh character 2:05:59 photograph all right great perfect this 2:06:02 is this is awesome let's go to 2:06:07 images all right this guy this dude 2:06:11 perfect so I'm going to save this image 2:06:14 as you're like oh he's doing copyright 2:06:17 right things this this a copyright 2:06:19 violation this is a copyright violation 2:06:22 Kyle's do a copyright violation he 2:06:24 supports copyright ceiling all right so 2:06:28 I'm going to upload that 2:06:30 picture and then I'm going to 2:06:33 say please describe this image in as 2:06:36 much detail as 2:06:45 possible the image shows a cheerful 2:06:47 older man with a prominent mustache he's 2:06:49 wearing a bright red blazer and a 2:06:51 matching outfit his attire oops I guess 2:06:53 that's done and I still got my 2:06:55 microphone turned on cuz Macintosh 2:06:58 decided to change their operating system 2:07:00 without telling me or Consulting with 2:07:02 me his attire gives off the background 2:07:05 suggest an urban setting okay this is a 2:07:08 description of that now I'm going to 2:07:09 just start a completely new chat so 2:07:11 we're going to get rid of that all 2:07:12 together so it's got no memory of that 2:07:14 chat right there's no memory across 2:07:16 chats currently in chat GPT I'm going to 2:07:19 say please make 2:07:24 me 2:07:26 a 2:07:29 street 2:07:32 photograph of 2:07:35 this and then I'm going to paste in that 2:07:37 description that it told 2:07:48 me 2:07:50 and now we're going to see how it 2:07:51 interpreted that image not in it it's 2:07:55 not creating something from the image 2:07:58 it's creating something from the 2:07:59 description of the image so 2:08:04 now if I download this this is the round 2:08:07 tripping part I'm going to go back to a 2:08:09 brand new chat GPT I'm now going to 2:08:11 upload that crazy ass picture that we 2:08:13 just 2:08:14 got is this it 2:08:17 yeah and say 2:08:23 please 2:08:25 describe this in as much detail as 2:08:32 possible all right and then you just 2:08:34 keep you just keep doing this so you 2:08:36 keep getting increasingly surreal 2:08:40 interpretations we're glad you're here 2:08:41 please show Kyle some love oh thank you 2:08:44 very much I appreciate that thank you 2:08:46 Danielle it's very sweet of you yeah do 2:08:49 me a favor if you're in here um follow 2:08:51 my channel because uh you know why would 2:08:53 you not want to follow this it's like 2:08:55 every night you get to come play here so 2:08:56 you should know and you should see my 2:08:58 feed CU there's occasionally something 2:08:59 in there useful and maybe you can make 2:09:02 money 2:09:03 with very possible um yeah do that um 2:09:08 you can also subscribe to the channel 2:09:10 you should also join the AI Salon which 2:09:11 I'll talk about in a second okay anyway 2:09:13 here's a new 2:09:15 description so let's copy this I'm going 2:09:17 to go to a brand new thing and you don't 2:09:19 have to keep going to new chats you can 2:09:21 just do this within a single chat but I 2:09:23 just want to show it I just want to show 2:09:24 you the process here of of these are 2:09:27 different tools that chat GPT has within 2:09:30 it that a lot of people don't even know 2:09:32 are there so I'm going to say um please 2:09:35 make a street photograph of 2:09:41 this and yes there was a typo there chat 2:09:44 GPT does not care at all about typos I 2:09:46 don't know why it just doesn't 2:09:50 I missed the part of how he found Vision 2:09:53 so it's just this little paperclip thing 2:09:55 right here and just the the paperclip 2:09:58 thing you can upload a CSV file of data 2:10:01 and it will use code interpreter to 2:10:03 analyze that data you can 2:10:06 upload an image and say what's in this 2:10:09 image and it will look at the image if 2:10:11 you say analiz this file of the image it 2:10:15 will analyze the colors in that 2:10:17 photograph and it'll use code 2:10:19 interpreter to do that you can upload an 2:10:21 image of a photograph and say zoom in on 2:10:26 this and it will use code interpreter or 2:10:28 write code to create an animation where 2:10:30 it zooms in like it's like again the 2:10:34 depth of how deep this thing 2:10:36 goes 2:10:40 is dramatically easy to to to completely 2:10:44 Miss not even underestimate it's it's a 2:10:47 lot of people that pay the 20 bucks a 2:10:49 month have no idea that this stuff's in 2:10:53 here you can also just paste an image 2:10:55 you don't need to save an upload oh 2:10:57 that's a that's a great point I forgot 2:10:58 about that what's going on here chat GPT 2:11:01 could you finish 2:11:03 this so now we got this this Slicker 2:11:06 version right so you can just keep doing 2:11:07 this back and forth so anyway and so 2:11:09 where was the original image the 2:11:11 original 2:11:13 image 2:11:16 is there right so there's the original 2:11:21 image and with two rounds of of uh Dolly 2:11:27 round tripping we end up with that 2:11:29 now did I steal that image I don't know 2:11:32 maybe maybe the idea of it maybe a 2:11:35 little bit of the composition but this 2:11:37 is clearly a different a completely 2:11:40 different thing 2:11:42 right and then and then you know you can 2:11:44 also do stuff like this um he should 2:11:49 be 2:11:51 wearing navy 2:11:54 blue and 2:11:57 have red 2:11:59 hair 2:12:01 and um 2:12:10 mustache another thing that I think 2:12:13 people forget to do with chat GPT if 2:12:17 beginners is that they they they ask it 2:12:21 for 2:12:24 something and if if they don't like it 2:12:27 they're like oh it 2:12:28 failed or you know oh it sucks I'm not 2:12:32 going to use it it makes stupid 2:12:34 things well if it makes something you 2:12:36 don't like tell it it's like it's like a 2:12:39 really it's like a golden retriever 2:12:42 intern where you're like that's dumb I 2:12:45 hate it it's like okay boss I'll do it 2:12:46 you want me to do another one I'll do 2:12:48 another one 2:12:49 look let's see um it should be a 2:12:54 blue cowboy hat or 2:12:59 had it'll understand I meant 2:13:05 hat I want to use 2:13:07 GPT to help the California facility 2:13:10 faculty association with their labor 2:13:13 strike any 2:13:14 ideas brother 52 um 2:13:19 yeah there's there's a lot of you should 2:13:21 definitely if you're not in the AI Salon 2:13:23 you should connect in the AI Salon you 2:13:25 should connect with um you should 2:13:28 connect with Vicky Baptist you should 2:13:31 connect with Ann 2:13:32 Murphy um you should connect with um um 2:13:37 Kelly Camp there's there's a bunch of 2:13:38 people that were super active TK is 2:13:41 another one that were super active in 2:13:43 the GPT for good challenge um that have 2:13:47 built a bunch of gpts um that probably 2:13:51 have really cool ideas for 2:13:54 you look at that look at that cool 2:13:57 character live poll all right we got a 2:13:59 poll going here people what's the poll 2:14:02 how much do you love Kyle Shannon as a 2:14:04 teacher this is not you can't I can't oh 2:14:08 all right so a zero 100% Maestro braa B 2:14:13 me I guess he's all right C nah I've 2:14:16 seen better all right this is good all 2:14:18 right I I'm not going to look at it 2:14:20 we've got you've got 1 minute 2:14:23 left troll away people tell me tell tell 2:14:27 me how much I suck but but I did make a 2:14:31 cool dude with a red mustache and a cow 2:14:33 blue cowboy hat out of a dude with a 2:14:37 anyway I wrote an article using AI wait 2:14:41 an article on AI using Joe Joe Hill's 2:14:45 principles I don't know who Joe Hill was 2:14:48 who's Joe 2:14:50 Hill 2:14:52 who is 2:14:55 Joe Hill and what were 2:15:00 his 2:15:06 principles his name was Joel Emelio 2:15:09 hageland known as Joseph hilstrom 2:15:12 Swedish American labor activist oh cool 2:15:15 lunter stick okay so brother 52 connect 2:15:19 with lunatick on on um the AI Salon 2:15:24 she's um Daisy 2:15:27 Thomas so all right 2:15:30 4.5% said meh I guess he's all right I 2:15:33 got z% n I've seen better and I got 2:15:37 95% Maestro Bravo thank you very much I 2:15:40 appreciate that 2:15:42 um I won't sleep at night until I get 2:15:45 100% Maestro or 100% you you suck 2:15:51 leave um actually I don't mind either 2:15:54 poll I hate being in the middle so so 2:15:56 I'll take 2:15:58 it um but yeah you should connect with 2:16:00 Daisy she's got a really fascinating 2:16:02 background she's made 80 gpts she's got 2:16:05 history in politics and she is awesome 2:16:09 so connect with her brother 2:16:11 52 um how could I get this to remember 2:16:15 before and after pictures of a clutter 2:16:17 room 2:16:19 and compare what's 2:16:22 missing you can upload up to five images 2:16:25 at the same time gravity jump so I think 2:16:28 what you could do is you could say 2:16:30 upload two pictures of a room and say 2:16:34 here are two pictures of a room taken at 2:16:36 different times can you tell me what's 2:16:38 different about them or you could say 2:16:39 the first picture you 2:16:43 know was State a and the second picture 2:16:46 is State b or you could even name them 2:16:49 that and just tell it to compare them I 2:16:52 want to use GPT for work emails but it 2:16:54 comes out way too professional and fake 2:16:58 okay we're going to fix that right now 2:17:00 advice yes TT TT we got you watch this 2:17:05 okay and you can do this with chat gbt 2:17:06 3.5 as 2:17:08 well okay 2:17:10 so and I don't know if you're okay TT um 2:17:15 so so mods if TT responds to this just 2:17:18 please pin it so um are you using chat 2:17:22 GPT 3.5 or chat GPT 2:17:28 4 all right and so what I'm going to do 2:17:30 is I'm going to say um let's see write 2:17:34 me a business 2:17:37 email that 2:17:39 [Music] 2:17:42 um tells 2:17:44 a 2:17:46 vendor that that we 2:17:51 can't pay them for another 30 2:17:57 days all 2:18:01 right could you compare them in code 2:18:04 interpreter um I think code interpreter 2:18:08 Silver Fox only analyzes the technical 2:18:13 elements of the image file it's not 2:18:16 actually analyzed in the image itself so 2:18:20 I don't think so but possible I haven't 2:18:23 experimented with it 2:18:25 okay 2:18:28 um dear vendor's name I hope this 2:18:31 message finds you well I am writing to 2:18:33 discuss our current payment schedule and 2:18:35 to request an extension for our upcoming 2:18:38 payment due to unforeseen circumstances 2:18:41 we are experiencing a temporary cash 2:18:43 flow challenges so very very corporate 2:18:46 right okay so I'm going to teach you 2:18:47 about about something 2:18:49 called wait when I uploaded two images 2:18:52 in mid Journey it always Blends them but 2:18:56 I want two different 2:18:59 subjects yeah I don't I haven't played a 2:19:02 ton with I I know blending in mid 2:19:04 journey is not super predictable but 2:19:06 it's super interesting but if you want 2:19:08 to get the two different subjects I 2:19:10 don't know how you do that what what you 2:19:11 might do is upload the two photos in 2:19:14 chat GPT have it describe each of the 2:19:17 photos and then tell it you want to 2:19:19 combine the subjects of those two photos 2:19:22 in a in a new 2:19:24 photo Dolly will probably get that right 2:19:27 chat GPT will probably get that right 2:19:28 the style will likely be different 2:19:30 though um okay so we're going to we're 2:19:33 going to I'm going to teach you how to 2:19:34 use a thing called custom 2:19:37 instructions So within chat GPT there's 2:19:40 this thing called custom instructions 2:19:42 which most people don't know about this 2:19:45 is a way you can personalize your chat 2:19:48 GPT all right so it's you click on your 2:19:50 name you go to custom instructions and 2:19:52 then you turn them on and I'm going to 2:19:54 kill what's in 2:19:57 here all 2:20:00 right so I'm going to 2:20:05 say I'm the 2:20:07 CEO 2:20:09 of 2:20:11 a comedy 2:20:14 club 2:20:16 and 2:20:19 I can't take anything 2:20:22 seriously but I am absolutely committed 2:20:28 to making everyone laugh in every 2:20:32 interaction 2:20:35 period no matter what someone asks 2:20:43 me 2:20:46 you 2:20:52 always make sure that you're 2:20:56 responding with humor and 2:21:00 puns and a New York Comics 2:21:04 Edge period even when writing business 2:21:10 correspondence your goal should be to 2:21:12 make someone smile no matter what the 2:21:15 news is that's being delivered 2:21:21 okay 2:21:24 so I'm going to go copy so the The 2:21:27 Prompt here was write me a business 2:21:28 email that tells a vendor 2:21:31 whatever I'm going to copy that I'm 2:21:33 going to create a brand new 2:21:35 chat and then I'm going to paste this 2:21:39 in let's see what it does subject a 2:21:43 little more time in the Limelight of 2:21:44 your invoice dear vendor's name hope 2:21:47 this email find you laughing now I've 2:21:49 got now I've got good news bad news 2:21:52 situation here the good news is we've 2:21:54 developed a new time machine at our 2:21:57 Comedy Club the bad news it only works 2:21:59 on 2:22:00 invoices it's pretty good so here's the 2:22:03 chuckle your invoice currently basking 2:22:05 in the spotlight has been selected for a 2:22:07 special 30-day solo performance on our 2:22:09 stage yes it's getting an extended run 2:22:12 dueing due to our unique Financial 2:22:14 juggling act we're not just throwing 2:22:16 hats in the air but don't worry we 2:22:18 haven't forgotten our punchline payment 2:22:20 will be standing ovation ready blah blah 2:22:22 blah right completely different thing 2:22:25 the other thing that you could do with 2:22:26 custom instructions there's enough um 2:22:28 sort of space in 2:22:30 there if you've got a way that you write 2:22:32 your business emails that you you 2:22:34 already like you don't even have to 2:22:36 describe it you can say you know I you 2:22:39 know I'm in I'm the administrative 2:22:40 assistant of of the of the whatever and 2:22:44 um you describe that in that top part 2:22:46 and then how would you like like it to 2:22:48 respond you say whenever I write any 2:22:50 professional correspondence follow the 2:22:52 tone and structure of this email and 2:22:54 paste it in there and it'll follow the 2:22:56 tone and structure of that email so 2:22:59 custom instructions super super powerful 2:23:02 way to um sort of Bend chat GPT to your 2:23:07 will now 2:23:11 gpts are you you kind of take custom 2:23:14 instructions and you put them in a GPT 2:23:16 and now you can share that with other 2:23:18 people so if you created a really good 2:23:20 prompt that wrote the perfect kind of 2:23:22 email if you put that in a GPT you could 2:23:25 share that with other people in the 2:23:26 office assuming they had access to GPT 4 2:23:29 how much better is the paid version than 2:23:31 the free version one of chat GPT like 2:23:34 dramatic and here let me show you I'll 2:23:36 I'll I'll just show you 2:23:38 features so chat jpt 2:23:41 3.5 um the good news about it is it's 2:23:43 free and it's super fast um you can do 2:23:47 custom instructions that I just showed 2:23:49 in chat GPT 3.5 and then you can also 2:23:53 with the um the iOS and the Android app 2:23:56 you can put chat gbt 3.5 into 2:23:59 conversational mode where you can 2:24:00 actually have a conversation with it you 2:24:02 can talk to it like in your Bluetooth on 2:24:03 your 2:24:04 car so that's chat GPT 3.5 chat GPT 4 2:24:08 you get all that it's not as fast as 3.5 2:24:11 but it's actually getting 2:24:14 there but it's also connected to the 2:24:16 internet it's got more up-to-date data 2:24:19 in it it's got this thing called code 2:24:21 interpreter where where you can do do 2:24:23 Advanced Data analysis so this will 2:24:25 write and execute its own python code on 2:24:28 your behalf it's amazing it's got GPT 2:24:31 Vision which it can see images and 2:24:34 analyze them like you can take a picture 2:24:35 of a whiteboard or of an invoice or of a 2:24:38 receipt and have it just type it up or 2:24:42 you know take take sketches of software 2:24:44 from a whiteboard and have it write the 2:24:47 code 2:24:48 for the interface that it sees in the 2:24:50 sketch on the Whiteboard seriously I 2:24:52 I'll show you that it's astounding um 2:24:54 dolly3 image generation it makes images 2:24:56 and then you can create and share these 2:24:58 things called custom 2:24:59 gpts so all of that stuff's within chat 2:25:03 gp4 and it's it's all just sort of 2:25:05 sitting in there hidden underneath this 2:25:08 little paper clip down in the bottom 2:25:09 left it's just sort of in there it just 2:25:12 sort of does all this 2:25:13 stuff and so so like for example so for 2:25:16 this comedy thing I'm going to say like 2:25:21 um why don't you make a Polaroid 2:25:24 snapshot of a 2:25:27 photograph that goes with this business 2:25:29 letter that will make my client 2:25:44 laugh why would it be necessary to 2:25:46 mention your position in the 2:25:49 company in the first box of your 2:25:51 instructions um so in general with chat 2:25:58 GPT there's the guy juggling the 2:26:00 invoices it's actually not bad it's not 2:26:02 a bad it's not a bad uh um what's it 2:26:06 called not a bad um interpretation of 2:26:09 the 2:26:11 problem okay the question is so so let 2:26:14 yeah let me explain custom instructions 2:26:16 for a second and and let me there's a 2:26:18 there's a bigger thing to explain here 2:26:19 okay so I'm going to go back to custom 2:26:21 instructions and I'm going to actually 2:26:22 turn them off but so so these two boxes 2:26:25 the first one is what would you like 2:26:27 chat GPT to know about you to provide 2:26:29 better 2:26:31 responses so one of the one of the 2:26:33 tricks with chat GPT is you you give it 2:26:38 a roll so so you you say I want you to 2:26:41 act as a 2:26:43 McKenzie trained business 2:26:46 consultant and I'm going to ask you a 2:26:48 bunch of questions about my business and 2:26:49 I want you to be my business coach 2:26:52 right the reason you do that is the 2:26:55 nature of how these large language 2:26:57 models work is they're essentially 2:27:00 trained on so much data it's like it's 2:27:04 like imagine if you could take all of 2:27:06 what's been dumped on the internet for 2:27:08 the past 40 2:27:10 years and jam that into this model 2:27:13 that's essentially what open ai's done 2:27:16 as much data as they could get their 2:27:18 hands on of the public internet for the 2:27:20 past 40 years is sitting inside chat GPT 2:27:24 in this really weird proprietary 2:27:27 mathematical thousand dimensional latent 2:27:29 space crazy ass 2:27:31 [ __ ] and so when you ask it a question 2:27:34 like write me a business letter it looks 2:27:36 across all of the [ __ ] internet 2:27:39 basically and and and looks for anywhere 2:27:42 where there's anything resembling a 2:27:43 business letter and it sort of pulls it 2:27:45 all in and so so what you end end up 2:27:47 with is these very 2:27:49 genericized if you sort of took the 2:27:52 average of all Communications of all 2:27:54 time and average them together you kind 2:27:57 of get generic [ __ ] right so if you say 2:28:00 something like I want you to be you know 2:28:04 you know I'm a CEO of a comedy club what 2:28:06 that's going to do is it's going to say 2:28:09 somewhere in all this information I have 2:28:11 there's information that's more about 2:28:13 comedy clubs and CEOs and CEOs of comedy 2:28:16 clubs it Narrows the data set um so if I 2:28:20 if I tell it to be a McKenzie consultant 2:28:22 when I write that email it's going to be 2:28:24 a very different email than if I'm the 2:28:26 CEO of a comedy club so it it gives it 2:28:29 context one of the things that makes 2:28:31 these large language models perform 2:28:33 better is when you give them more 2:28:35 context so this one sort of says who are 2:28:38 you acting like and then this bottom one 2:28:40 says how would you like chat GPT to 2:28:42 respond here's the specific instructions 2:28:44 for how to respond as this person 2:28:47 so it's just more context um to to you 2:28:51 know make the thing 2:28:55 Groove all right let's see it's it's 2:28:58 time it's time people I gotta go I'm 2:29:00 late here people I gotta I got I got 2:29:03 things to do I got people to see I don't 2:29:05 I don't know if you knew this about me I 2:29:07 I'm I'm very important I'm very 2:29:09 important if I weren't important would I 2:29:11 have a gold button you can make money 2:29:13 with I don't think so people I don't 2:29:15 think you understand do you think they 2:29:17 just sell these things on Amazon they 2:29:19 don't just sell these things on Amazon 2:29:21 you have to earn these this one was 2:29:25 forged this was forged from the 2:29:29 Yukon Parker Parker smelted this gold 2:29:33 for me poured this gold button for 2:29:36 me you think you just buy this on Amazon 2:29:39 for for 2:29:42 $10 2:29:44 no you have to have relationships 2:29:49 all right search the store for spy 2:29:52 cleaner before we go please Spy 2:29:59 cleaner spy 2:30:03 cleaner spy cleaner by Brendan tid I 2:30:06 compare two pictures and highlight the 2:30:08 differences there you 2:30:10 go beautiful all right let's go get 2:30:13 let's go grab two 2:30:15 pictures perfect oh you know what we'll 2:30:17 do I'll do two of these 2:30:21 pictures all right that's a good one so 2:30:23 we'll grab that 2:30:25 one so the 1984 one 2:30:29 oops so we'll grab 1984 and you know 2:30:32 what we'll grab 1944 because it's that 2:30:34 weird black and 2:30:41 white oh I don't think I uploaded 2:30:45 them 2:30:47 so 1944 1984 2:30:51 boom and then 2:30:55 boom spy 2:30:58 cleer oh this is cool Brandon so so uh 2:31:01 BT comp 2:31:03 KSU so someone earlier asked you know I 2:31:06 want to compare two different pictures 2:31:08 so to to illustrate how easy it is to 2:31:11 make J G gpts Brandon built this 2:31:15 GPT based on that person's request while 2:31:18 we were talking here this is how cool 2:31:21 this community is come on people all 2:31:24 right so what's it say 2:31:27 here main characters the first photo has 2:31:30 a woman in the foreground dressed in 2:31:31 what looks like vintage clothing the 2:31:33 second photo features a man in the 2:31:35 foreground with a different fashion 2:31:37 style suggesting a different era 1944 2:31:41 1984 background crowd both photos have a 2:31:44 crowd in the background but the people 2:31:45 are dressed differently matching the 2:31:47 time period of the main character in The 2:31:49 foreground the second photo seems to 2:31:51 have a more colorful modern 2:31:54 crowd setting they both depict a fairg 2:31:57 ground but the details differ right so 2:32:00 these were photos from the world fair 2:32:03 objects colors and tone the first photo 2:32:05 has sepia tones common in Old 2:32:07 photographs the second one is more 2:32:09 vibrant dates and text there's a a date 2:32:12 on the first photo of 2:32:14 1944 and the second one references 1984 2:32:17 World's Fair and then the condition of 2:32:20 the photos they're damaged and torn with 2:32:22 rips and tears super cool all right 2:32:25 everyone so go go grab spy cleaner if 2:32:27 you want to compare 2:32:29 images I just wait made from a gold 2:32:33 parlor trick 2:32:35 table all right all right everybody 2:32:38 listen this has been fun tonight thank
