558. 2:06:05their brains so why don't we bring this stuff into the classroom and then critically think about teach them critical
559. 2:06:14thinking let's let's write two papers one in the classroom with a pen and we're going to put all your phones
560. 2:06:24in a box so you can't look at your phones and you're going to write on paper and you're going to we're going to
561. 2:06:29do this for a week and you're going to write papers and then the next week we're going to bring in chat and we're
562. 2:06:36going to write the same paper with chat GPT and then we're going to spend the next three weeks after that comparing
563. 2:06:42those two exercises what did we learn what was harder what was easier um what was the worst part about
564. 2:06:50writing by hand what was the best part about writing by hand right all of that critical thinking get people thinking
565. 2:06:57get your students thinking because it's the only [ __ ] thing that's going to matter what our current education system
566. 2:07:07does and I don't know how it is in England I'm an ugly American but what everything is geared for here is teach our kids skills single
567. 2:07:19skills ideally don't be a liberal arts [ __ ] get yourself an engineering degree specialize right so right now in today's world we value
568. 2:07:35specialization because up until 2022 if you wanted to be really good at say law or say medicine or say
569. 2:07:51illustrating or music making or whatever you had to spend a decade or two decades or five decades specializing in that
570. 2:07:59thing and then you get paid more for that specialization well as AI gets better and better and better it's going to democratize those
571. 2:08:09Specialties and there's going to be a flip there's this going to be an iceberg flip where the value of specialization is going to drop
572. 2:08:22at large there will be some Specialists that still remain valuable but and what will be more valued is people that can think critically and
