38. 6:44longtime entrepreneur I've started I don't know 12 15 companies something like that my current gig is I'm the
39. 6:51founder and CEO of a company called storyvine we're a uh an automated video storytelling platform we do not use well
40. 7:02our core technology is not AI uh we do our automation the oldfashioned way with code and uh I'm completely rethinking my
41. 7:12platform and the value proposition and the product offering and the road map thanks to AI so that's been a really
42. 7:19interesting journey I can talk about that um I was also an entrepreneur in the early days of the worldwide web so

44. 7:36um sometimes I go into like Ross perau for those of you that are Gen X gen xers remember him um in the early days of the
45. 7:45worldwide web I started a company called uh agency.com which was one of the first digital agencies why do I talk about
46. 7:51that well it was kind of cool cuz cuz uh it was one of the first digital agencies we built a lot of the early websites but
47. 8:00the early days of the worldwide web is very very reminiscent of the early days of this chat GPT [ __ ] what's going on
48. 8:06with this stuff in my opinion is more profound than the impact that the worldwide web had which was pretty
49. 8:15[ __ ] profound it changed everything how we did everything so this stuff's bigger than that so couple of things we
50. 8:22do here I I keep these URLs up uh during my little chats here uh for a couple reason if you're new to generative AI if
51. 8:31youve not played with chat GPT that's what these things are all about so let me let me talk about what I got going on

54. 9:06this AI stuff go there chat. open.com that's the official chat GPT website if you've not played with it go play with it go play

56. 9:28Alone go there until you have that moment what's that moment I don't know it's different for everyone uh you can
57. 9:34go there tell it to write you a country song Tell it to write you a poem tell it to write you a python application um ask
58. 9:40it to create a marketing strategy for you just figure out something that you know and you know how hard it is to
59. 9:47create and then go there and see if you can get it to do what you think is hard and then at some point you will
60. 9:55have that moment oh my God oh my God what happened um Claude and Bing the two below it what are those um they're competitors to that
61. 10:06one well Bing is a sort of Co-op Cooper co-option right this is from Microsoft this is GPT micros Bing chat is M good

63. 10:39chat uses gp4 that is behind chat GPT gp4 so this is also gp4 but it's Microsoft's version of it it's connected to the internet it
64. 10:51can make images thank you manry uh it can read images uh it's generally crappier than this one because it's got
65. 11:00a lot of safety guard rails on it cuz Microsoft is tired of being embarrassed on the front page of the New York Times
66. 11:06so it's a little shittier than than gp4 up here but it's still good and it's free Claude is a competitor to chat GPT
67. 11:16it's a bunch of xop AI people that invented gpt3 they went off and said we don't like how you're doing safety we're
68. 11:23going to go do our own and they created claw and that's got a really big context window which basically means you can put
69. 11:29in giant prompts okay so so if you're new to this [ __ ] go there um prompt. chat will teach you how
70. 11:36to use these things okay that's a little just instruction manual on how to talk to these things there there's lots of
71. 11:42ways you can prompt these things but that's just a good one to start okay so that's that if you have used some of these
72. 11:49things before here's some others to play with Bard is Google's entry in this space uh perplexity doai is a search
73. 11:56engine that does citations it it sort of mixes search and AI in an interesting way and then labs. perplexity uh lets
74. 12:05you play with meta llama 2 models for free why because they're awesome I guess I don't know everyone's got their reasons
75. 12:17pi. the Irregulars here on the learning lab have nicknamed chatty GPT and I think that's appropriate chatty GPT uh if you if you
76. 12:28put p in conversation mode it's really interesting to talk to I was I was with a uh a buddy of mine today um guy named
77. 12:36townzen Ward law who's a a sales consultant and he he actually helped design the sales um our sales strategy
78. 12:44for Story vine and I haven't talked to him in years and he was in Denver and he said let's get together so so we hung
79. 12:50out and he was talking about his wife is has been working with AI on loneliness having having people that are lonely
80. 13:01talk to GPT models and I said have you seen piie or have you tried Pi or have you talked about pi and he said no and
81. 13:10so I opened up the PI app and I asked it you know who is Townsen War word law and what is his theory on on you know
82. 13:21sales and it nailed it his jaw he he had a Kevin mallister moment he had this moment cuz he knows a decent amount
83. 13:30about AI but it it like nailed who he was what his philosophy was and it was like the latest up to the minute who he
84. 13:38was uh so anyway so Pi's really interesting po uh you can make your own Bots there that's really interesting
85. 13:44this the like train is [ __ ] hilarious it's totally distracting me but I love it okay so so that's all that [ __ ] okay
86. 13:55now pictures pretty pictures you're like but Kyle I don't like words I want pictures unless you're demo Demo's a
87. 14:03troll that's I think demo secretly loves the AI learning lab he comes in every night and trolls me and says I don't
88. 14:10know what I'm talking about and I'm an [ __ ] and that um well he hasn't really said I'm an [ __ ] I've
89. 14:16interpreted it that way um but he also says that images are a waste of everyone's time so if you're not demo
90. 14:24and you think images are not a waste of time then uh these things might be interesting in to you I don't know why I'm calling out and
91. 14:33making my trolls more famous but he's he's he's he's at least consistent in his trolly MC trollington uh mid journey
92. 14:40is the best Firefly is the most corporately safe for lack of a better term in fact it it's still early so I
93. 14:48don't I don't think you can actually use that images from Firefly in corporate applications yet but you will be able to um Leonardo and
94. 14:58clip drop are both stable diffusion they're just fancy front ends in front of stable diffusion um and then open
95. 15:04art. a/ promptbook will teach you how to use these things okay and then future pedia that's like 4,000 it's probably
96. 15:12more now they add hundreds each day 4,000 AI tools that if you ask me Kyle what's the best way to do accounting for
97. 15:23circuses in Lithuania I go there there's probably an app for that I just don't know them all okay that's that final
98. 15:33thing um and welcome I I see some new people have joined probably because there's just an incessant amount of
99. 15:40likes the the the Irregulars are at it I think it's hilarious and I love them um you might be thinking AI learning lab

101. 15:59scammer and this just pisses me off because Tik Tok won't deal with it so if you know anything about Tik Tock scammer
102. 16:08account reporting or uh if you work at Tik Tok or if Tik Tok you're listening I know you're listening because you shut
103. 16:15down my live occasionally because I say some trigger word so so I've learned a few of the ones you don't like um but if if you are
104. 16:28following an account that is AI learning lab that has two L's in it for learning AI L learning lab it has a stutter the
105. 16:36stuttering account is not me but you're like but Kyle it's got all your videos and it looks like you and it's taken
106. 16:43everything about your account exactly and then what they do is they reach out to people that follow them and
107. 16:48they try to sell them some multi-level marketing scam [ __ ] so [ __ ] them [ __ ] the horse they rode in on this is
108. 16:54the only recourse I have is to take advantage of my like train and say screw those guys but but if you follow
109. 17:03them you just check you have to sort of dig in and like go past the initial page cuz they've copied like like the initial
110. 17:11page that they've done looks exactly like mine so you have to go into their uh profile and see the two L's so
111. 17:17unfollow them report them and this is the real deal okay good Lord that's a lot it's a lot it's a lot to open up the the show I
112. 17:27had to change my shirt we did that we went through all of this the like train is going crazy here's the other thing

132. 20:46their negotiations and then the producers Guild or whatever the [ __ ] is the movie Producers thing said uh we'll get back to you on
133. 20:56whatever your requests were and then they ghosted them for like two weeks and then they said okay we have a response to all of your
134. 21:07requests and for like almost all of their requests the response was denied [ __ ] you [ __ ] you [ __ ] you [ __ ]
135. 21:16you they went down the list [ __ ] you [ __ ] you [ __ ] you but but then toward the bottom there was one but we have a groundbreaking
136. 21:25proposal and our groundbreaking proposal is this from The Producers to The Screen Actors Guild for background actors so extras
137. 21:36right the ones that don't have all the lines in the movies how about this how about we as producers pay those extras
138. 21:48$200 and on that day that we pay them $200 we will scan their likeness and we will digitize it and then we will put it
139. 21:57in our our magic AI computer box and we will use their likeness imp perpetuity Forever Without ever compensating them ever again
140. 22:12um and that's what that's when sag went fantastic [ __ ] you and went on strike uh so so it it's a big deal now here here's the [ __ ] up
141. 22:26part if I take emotion out of it and the fact that I'm an you know a trained actor and I've written screen plays and you know I
142. 22:35have empathy for for that crowd for my peeps um there's nothing stopping the producers from paying nothing like what
143. 22:49what the producers are saying is we'll at least pay them a day rate of 200 bucks um they could just say hey for for
144. 22:57extras in any feature film we're not going to ever use human beings ever again we're just going to synthesize
145. 23:03them all we'll we'll we'll hire a bunch of people to go generate them in mid journey and and the extras will always
146. 23:09be computer generated they won't be based on any likenesses and that's the way it's going to be um so so so the leverage that sag has is is
147. 23:20not great because because the tools are really powerful so so it's it's kind of a fascinating thing um you know I I
148. 23:28think the producers will ultimately do something um sag and The Writers Guild have leverage a little bit right now but
149. 23:37a year or two from now won't like this probably will be the last strike where the Screen Actors Guild and The Writers
150. 23:43Guild or any any kind of unions like that have any kind of Leverage whatsoever so it's a fascinating
151. 23:49fascinating time uh and and also I think that both sag and the wga are are actually being very shortsighted about

166. 26:44Claude because Claude is one of one of the uh models I show here so for chat GPT I'm going to go to plugins and and I don't have any enabled
167. 26:59so I'm going to go enable one if they load I had a plug-in enabled so something's weird plugin store did they get rid of
168. 27:16all of my plugins wait what hang on hang on no plugins
169. 27:30enabled oh okay this is okay here's a good lesson I'm logged in let me reload this they obviously reset their plugins

171. 27:55Panic is we're so early in this AI stuff that every piece of AI software right now is a janky piece of duct taped spit
172. 28:04toothpicks and um dog food is what they're made of so sometimes sometimes stuff just uh breaks because it's bad software and then

174. 28:34y all right that's cool okay so I've got a plugin enabled called uh web pilot now what web pilot can do
175. 28:45is it can go read a website so I'm going to say please read and then I'm going to pop in that URL and I'm going to hit shift return
176. 28:56for a line break and I'm going to say um summarize the five most important parts of this
177. 29:11agreement with regards to my ability to use any images I create for commercial
178. 29:26purposes and so it's going to go read that legal document now um who was it I think it
179. 29:40was it retr Punk retro I think it was retr Punk sent me a a DM so one of the Irregulars ownership of content you own all of the
180. 29:51input for the output generated based on your input Leonardo assigns to you all its rights title and interest in and to that
181. 30:01output it doesn't quite say you own it right they say you own the input and I guess because they're generating there was an error in
182. 30:11response oh it just crapped out okay for the output generated based on your input okay oh okay so that's
183. 30:21interesting so what they're saying is you own your prompt and if you generated something from your prompt Leonardo assigns that to you but
184. 30:34I think what that also implies is if you use someone else's prompt they don't so just make sure you modify your prompt
185. 30:44right change a word in it so that you can you can claim it's yours now is anyone going to check that the the
186. 30:50people that check whether or not you modified or prompt or not are the same people that check the signatures on our
187. 30:55credit card receipts that that we signed at the convenience store I'm pretty sure no one is checking those signatures
188. 31:02because everyone has the same signature and it does not resemble their name in any way um so anyway so that was that
189. 31:10was kind of an interesting thing so that's that now we're going to go over to Claude and do the same thing now at Claude so I'm going to pop
190. 31:19in the The Prompt so summarize this thing and then I'm going to do a line break I'm going to go back to the terms
191. 31:26of service and I am going to just highlight them all so I just highlighted all of the terms of service I'm going to come back
192. 31:35to Claude this is this is one of the reasons to use Claude Claude is free and Claude has 100,000 token context window
193. 31:43so I can paste in like a 75,000 Word document it could be a legal document it could be a screenplay it could be a
194. 31:50novel and I type in paste and then I submit it and so now it's going to go read all of the text of that
195. 32:00document retr Punk said he uploaded a PDF to Claude and he wanted to translate a permission slip from English to Spanish
196. 32:12and it transl it it basically like made up an entirely new document my suspicion of what happened with retr Punk was and
197. 32:21if it wasn't you retrop punk if it was someone else sorry about that it it might have been Tobias I don't know it
198. 32:25was it was one of the Irregulars um what might have happened is it might not have been able to read the PDF so it
199. 32:32might not have actually extracted the text out of the PDF um depending on how the PDF was constructed right so if it was just a
200. 32:41scan instead of actual text it might not have seen it and then and then it probably just made some [ __ ] up so
201. 32:47that's that's my suspicion okay based on my review of the terms of service images created by paid users retain full
202. 32:56ownership copyright and intellectual property rights you have the commercial rights to images you create as a paid
203. 33:03user okay that's interesting for free tier users Leonardo owns all the rights to the images created but grants
204. 33:13free users a royaltyfree license for the commercial use of images they create okay so I'm glad we did this so it summarized
205. 33:25what the document said in two slightly different ways so if you're trying to figure out if you own the rights from
206. 33:32Leonardo I would actually go read the terms of service yourself but this is a good way to to get the short answer the
207. 33:37short answer is yes if you pay for it you own the image and you can do whatever the [ __ ] you want with it if
208. 33:44you're on the free tier you've got free royaltyfree license to use the image now let's see any images made by public by any user can be used
209. 33:58commercially any images made public by any user tier can be used by Leonardo so so you can use it but Leonardo can also
210. 34:11use it you represent having rights to any inputs so if you if your input is copywritten material that's not good
211. 34:19there are restrictions on offensive illegal and harmful content so yeah so basically you own it or can use it but
212. 34:26they can so use it there you go but there's a that was a that was a fun little fun little rabbit hole I haven't gotten to the news yet I
213. 34:42haven't even gotten to the news I I'll tell you what you people that are like oh I'll watch this old man for like five

346. 55:12of some other ways you could do it in chat GPT you could use code interpreter code interpreter can write
347. 55:20much longer documents I don't know if it would be any good though you could yeah I wouldn't use code interpreter no so so
348. 55:27what I would do what I would do if you want to write a screenplay you're going to have to chunk it up the first thing that you do is you
349. 55:39write an outline and it'll be able to do the outline and then maybe you say based on this outline you
350. 55:48know let's create um a set of character description you're going to need an outline a set of character description desps a set of place
351. 55:57descriptions so you're going to have to kind of have those elements and then and then you're going to write the scenes from
352. 56:04there and you might even need example scenes right if you if you write dialogue in a particular way or or if if
353. 56:11you've if you haven't quite described your characters well enough you might need example dialogue so outline sorry having written some
354. 56:20screenplays I'm I'm trying to think how I would do it this this is how I would do it this is not how you do it or how
355. 56:25people do it this is how I would do it I I would I would get it to write a concise outline that I agree with a
356. 56:34character sheet a place sheet I would probably have some sample dialogue like you you want to se it with good
357. 56:43dialogue those three things right there are probably going to take up most of your context window so 4,000 tokens is
358. 56:52about 3,000 words so so those elements right there one way you could do it is you could put in those elements and then
359. 57:01tell chat GPT to summarize all of those into the least amount of words possible so you kind of make it less
360. 57:11tokens and then I would just do sort of scene at a time or even subscene like here's here's the first half of scene
361. 57:18one here's the second half of scene one and then just copy and paste those out or Claude has a 100,000 token context
362. 57:31window so it's got a 75,000 word um memory basically window that you can play Within So within Claude you could take those three those long
363. 57:40elements that I described outline characters places sample dialogue and then you could just say write me act one
364. 57:49of this screenplay and it'll probably write the whole thing I think that's probably a bad approach because you know you remember the the
365. 58:01Looney Tunes commercial I knew I should have taken a left at alui um let's say that that Claude or chat
366. 58:10GPT writes scene one and right at the end of scene one it kind of goes in a direction you didn't want it to go and
367. 58:18then it'll write you it it'll sort of take the action from that kind of went off a little bit and it'll write you all
368. 58:24the other scenes and like you know it it it'll I don't know it'll just be bad so there's a there's a project out there it's if you're
369. 58:34geeky check out a project called novel GPT novel GPT will write you a full novel and what it does is you give
370. 58:46it what you want the basic story to be about what you want the writing style to be about and the number of chapters and
371. 58:54then the the way it does what it does is it writes an outline and then it writes chapter one and then it takes the outline and
372. 59:02chapter one and it writes chapter 2 and then it takes the outline in chapter one and chapter two and writes chapter 3 so
373. 59:09so it's building upon what it wrote so I would take a similar approach with writing a screenplay I'd get all of your
374. 59:16sort of planning documents done you can have chat gbt or Claude help you write those and then I would just chunk it out
375. 59:23um don't expect to write the whole screenplay because it'll it'll just [ __ ] it up it'll just be forever disappointing
376. 59:31um what's interesting about that novel GPT project is that it's it's in a collab a Google collab notebook you can
377. 59:39see all the code that they wrote all the prompts that they wrote to to write all of that if you if you if you're code
378. 59:46friendly and can go look at the scripts within the within the notebook and you could modify you could modify novel GP P to become screenplay

452. 1:11:19were talking about that's because the top of the conversation went out of the context window so you may need to go
453. 1:11:24back to the early part of the conversation grab some of that early stuff and put it down later um and then
454. 1:11:29just keep it going or use Claude which has like a 75,000 word context window you can have much longer conversation we'll take you as you are

935. 2:33:02these Technologies make these things possible which means this part of the business needs to change so I'm going to
936. 2:33:08be the a AI change manager that I can manage both of those so maybe maybe that something like that I would go play with
937. 2:33:18chat GPT and and and dig in there with it because uh wait what is making music what AI it's called suo s n

942. 2:34:10realistically keep up with this stuff is pick a vertical say I'm just going to look at a legal applications that that deal with
943. 2:34:19law [ __ ] and even then I don't think you can keep up with it because you have General tools like chat GPT that can do
944. 2:34:26a bunch of law [ __ ] too and then you got these legal specific things like I I just think I don't know it's

946. 2:34:44don't I I told myself for years I'd get good at music production but it was always too complicated for me actually
947. 2:34:51music production is one of those things where it is incredibly complicated where an AI simplification layer on top of it
948. 2:34:59is going to it's going to there's going to be a lot of people that write really amazing music without having music
949. 2:35:08theory knowledge without having production knowledge and they're going to be able to make worldclass [ __ ] and
950. 2:35:15some of it's going to be derivative but you're going to you're going to find people that Embrace these tools that maybe aren't
951. 2:35:23musicians but they Embrace these tools in such a way that they become masters of generating highquality hit
952. 2:35:33music just like the DJs and and the hip-hop era like the musicians like well that's not really music they're sampling
953. 2:35:41or that's not really music they're just mixing you know this beat with that beat with DJs yeah but certain DJs take it to
954. 2:35:50another level certain rappers took it to another level right where it became a new genre I think that's going to happen
955. 2:35:58where it'll probably be young people that don't know any better and they'll come in and they you know [ __ ] some [ __ ]
