14. 3:33today is the first day in at least a month of writing the wrong date on [Music] things um if you're if you're followers
15. 3:48of David Shapiro he put out a pile of posts today on X that I actually thought I reposted a bunch of
16. 3:56them um I thought they're actually quite important [Music] and and there was a lot of similar kind of sentiment that um that that the
17. 4:13acceleration is really about to start and what the acceleration is from is when these tools get good enough that
18. 4:21they can start improving themselves or they can start taking action on their own and rather than having to hire a
19. 4:29bunch of people people to go solve some problems you can just turn a bunch of AI agents loose to go solve them then you
20. 4:36start solving problems faster and faster and the the the quality of the technology goes up and the the speed of
21. 4:43those improvements increases as well so it seems pretty clear that that's going to happen [Music]
22. 5:00[Music] what was interesting about his posts is they were one of them was was was directly
23. 5:17about getting a divorce from work life because we're not going to have to now I don't think that's going to happen
24. 5:26in 2025 I don't think that's going to happen in 2026 because I think businesses and people move slower than technology
25. 5:36but I think it's important for us to be ready for it I think it's important for us to be ready that that the AI is not going to
26. 5:48necessarily require us to participate and and that will start to experience in 2025 and that's that's agents um so I think any of the
27. 6:04existential questions that we've had about AI but where we still have to initiate the contact I think I think the stakes go up in [Music]

31. 6:52install Chrome extensions and then forget about them and then 17 years later I've got 270 Chrome extensions and

35. 7:33about in AI festivas um we're we're going up on restream uh an Murphy's restream so I will do one of

40. 8:22Tock there's something really interesting that happened largely as a result of AI FES of us um I've had a bit
41. 8:30of a breakthrough I've I've been struggling for the past six months or so um figuring out my role the role of AI
42. 8:39learning lab the role of AI Salon like like what is the like what do people need and I feel like what they needed in
43. 8:47the in the first year was here's what these tools are some version of that right and and while people that are new
44. 8:58to AI are going to need that I feel like there's there's plenty of resources out there now that are about that and so I
45. 9:05think I think you know it's not a it's not a desert of knowledge on that [Music] front and one of the things we talked
46. 9:20about in the AI Salon one of the things that's kind of the core of the AI salon is what we were calling the journey to AI
47. 9:35literacy Tik Tock pin um do you use the premium version of simple AI I do not I I just downloaded it once I I downloaded it used it once I
48. 9:47almost used it today and then I chickened out I I I still have like weirdness about so what simple AI is if you don't know it's an app that
49. 10:03you get and it kind of has a chat GPT like interface and then you can say hey call up you know all the businesses near
50. 10:11me that sell hardware and see if they have a plumbing snake or whatever and it will make phone calls it'll it'll make
51. 10:18all these phone calls simultaneously and record the transcript of the conversation with the person that picked
52. 10:24up the phone and then give you the answer like which store has it um it's pretty remarkable but no I do not have
53. 10:30the paid version of it because I just I have I have not quite come to the I have not quite reconciled letting robots make calls on
54. 10:41my behalf yet I will I'll get there it's just still weird to me anyway this so in the AI Salon we we always talked about this thing the
55. 10:52journey to AI literacy and it was play first mindfully create generously lead that part hasn't changed the the the
56. 11:00three steps but what has changed is is the name of the of the process the journey journey to AI literacy a remarkable thing that
57. 11:13happened during AI festiv is remarkable to me was that every single session every single session even if they were dealing with technical
58. 11:27explanations was more about the person and what they were trying to do in the world than it was about the
59. 11:34technology like even P modder that did this thing on how llms work he was he he did it in this Spirit of listen I'm like
60. 11:44way up here in terms of you know mathematical knowledge you know he's he's a doctor he's a PhD of of mathematics that works at Google and he
61. 11:54created this presentation that like brought it all the way down and he said you know I think what people need right
62. 11:59right now and and every to a person every single person was some version of I'm trying to figure this stuff out like here's what I do
63. 12:11here's what I know and here's how I'm using AI not here's how to use this tool right and what and an an Murphy brought
64. 12:21this up she said she said there's something about AI literacy that is too literal right that it's it's too much
65. 12:28about the tools and so what we ended up we went back and forth and had I don't know a dozen different names and what we
66. 12:36landed on was this let me share my screen for a second here and I'm sorry my hair looks like a carpet salesman but
67. 12:42you know what are you gonna do um journey to AI Readiness and so the um
68. 12:56the um the certification that we're doing based on um AI um AI Festivus is is going to be an AI Readiness
69. 13:08certification here's why I like this term instead of AI literacy I actually now do not believe that it's possible to
70. 13:17become AI literate it's moving too fast there's too many tools like even if you just wanted to learn chat GPT like I like it's it is it
71. 13:28would be a struggle to really learn all of what cat GPT can do same with Claude same with all of them like all of the stuff that Google
72. 13:38has out there they've got so much stuff out there it's just this ecosystem of of functionality and so and then even if you went and learned
73. 13:49all that you're not learning all the other [ __ ] that's happening and then at some point Google's going to release
74. 13:57something that trumps all of the [ __ ] that you learned and now you're going to have to relearn it right so the idea of
75. 14:02AI literacy isn't there but being ready for what's coming from AI that I think we can train to and March towards and so
76. 14:10what this certification is going to be about is re is really that it's it's more mindset Cindy [ __ ] calls it the AI
77. 14:18mindset you know are you in an AI mindset are you curious are you adventurous are you adaptable are you willing to you know
78. 14:26slay the sacred cows of of whatever of your own personal selfworth of the definition of work of the definition of a
79. 14:35company being AI ready means that you're in I mean you know I we use the metaphor a lot there's like these big waves
80. 14:48coming and it's better to be on a surfboard than on the beach and that that kind of feels the most right that
81. 14:56you got to figure out what surfing is and what it means to be on a surfboard and what it means to stand up on one and
82. 15:02what it means to stand up on one when you're in a wave and what it means to fall off one and what it means to get
83. 15:07back on even if you get the wind knocked out of you at the bottom of the ocean so journey to AI Readiness so so I changed the the AI
84. 15:19website all right so I don't know I don't know if that's valuable but happy New Year Happy New Year to
85. 15:35everyone it's too fast to be [Music] literate oh I see Vicky just put if you're on the YouTube channel in the
86. 15:50comments Vicky just put a link to the LinkedIn post that's got the the sign up for tomorrow's so tomorrow so I haven't
87. 15:58said it someone asked about it but I haven't actually said it tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. mountain time 10:00 a.m.
88. 16:03Pacific Ann Murphy and I are going to do an AI festiv us wrapup so we're gonna say here's what we learned here's what
89. 16:10happened you know here's all the insights here's what people have said you can't believe the amount of notes
90. 16:18that we're getting from people who are like this has already changed my life like I had given up you know I was doing
91. 16:25AI for a while then I gave up and I just got lost and and I'm back in and I have clarity now it's so cool it's so
92. 16:35cool so tomorrow at 11 you it's going to be on LinkedIn I'm gonna I'm going to fire up Tik Tock live AI learning
93. 16:45lab and and I'll do like this where I'm filming the screen so you can get all those Mo a patterns and hurt your eyes you're
94. 16:53welcome let me see if I can get those a little less shitty no no you're just G to have to deal if I go closer does that

96. 17:20good Daisy May Clarity is what I came away with I came away with Clarity and I came away with hope and I came away with Humanity
97. 17:33like the 34 people that presented to a person were really [ __ ] impressive people right like smart accomplished
98. 17:45like no [ __ ] that I don't have a [ __ ] clue about and to a person it didn't feel like anyone had it figured out
99. 18:02they were all in this inquiry they were all in this I don't quite know what surfing is but I figured up how to get
100. 18:09up on a board on this little wave I'm thinking about the big waves over there but the the little one I sort of got for
101. 18:15now you know it had a Humanity to it that was it wasn't a surprise because like one of the things about the AI
102. 18:25Salon community and the she she leads AI community um and some of the other communities we had speakers come in from is
103. 18:35that they tend to be full of empathetic generous interesting smart people so it doesn't surprise me that you know the
104. 18:46speakers that emerged out of those communities have those traits but I don't I think I was expecting more AI literacy
105. 18:59talk I figured it out here's how you do it here's the templates here's the prompting strategy here's the this
106. 19:04here's the that right even the people that had prompting strategies in their conversation it wasn't about the
107. 19:11prompting strategy it was about what they were trying to accomplish as a human being it was about their creative imperative
108. 19:20right really really cool so that's tomorrow 10:00 a.m. Pacific 11:00 a.m. here and then we're going to talk about
109. 19:29so one of the requests that that happened multiple times throughout the day um on AI festiv us was people were
110. 19:37saying is this a certification or can this be a certification or will this be a certification or can we get certified on this stuff
111. 19:47and there was enough of it that it that and and by the end I'm like there was so much so much was communic at that even
112. 20:01if you sat there for the full 36 hours most of it's going to wash over your head so I think doing an intentional
113. 20:07Deep dive on all the sessions or all the sessions in a track I think there was a clear creative track there was a clear
114. 20:14business track and then there were some some miscellaneous maybe just sort of General AI stuff like you know policy
115. 20:20and security and and you know how llms work and things like that so I think there was kind of a general track and so
116. 20:28I so what we're planning on right now is breaking the sessions up into tracks and then you can subscribe to the entire if
117. 20:37you want to go do all of it or if you want to just do it track by track you can do that uh SE slug of Doom I was definitely
118. 20:45looking for that technical strategy yeah yeah there wasn't there wasn't this this was not this was not that and if you were looking for that
119. 20:59se- slug then that that might have been a let down but here's the thing about that I mean I would strongly encourage
120. 21:09you to go read David Shapiro's posts from today um on Twitter because a lot of what he talked about is he feels that he no longer has
121. 21:20anything to contribute technically like this is a guy who was the guy to go to when you need to deal with something something
122. 21:32technically and he's like with agents and reasoning basically what's coming in in the next three months is going to be the beginnings of it
123. 21:44[Music] um a lot of getting that stuff done is just going to be needing to have the intention to get it done not necessarily
124. 21:56needing to know how to set it up and I I know that freaks a lot of people out but given that assuming that that's true
125. 22:05and whether it's three months from now or a year from now or three years from now how do you how do you get ready for
126. 22:11that right how do you get ready for that and I think that's what FES of us was about so one thing I thought I would do tonight um
127. 22:27Monday I tried to set up a notebook LM with all the transcripts from the from Festivus and
128. 22:42um because the videos were set to private which they are they're only available in the AI salon right now you
129. 22:49can't pull transcripts from them automatically so um I ended up getting the transcripts today and I so so I'm
130. 22:58going to build build a notebook LM tonight with the transcripts oh man Joy pie what's happening good to see who we got in the
131. 23:07house we got Tobias we got Vicky Lori Blair Cosmic lovers ripy Vicky Baptist Dr J forever
132. 23:23hooked we got fair amount of people on X hello X what's happening hope you're doing well Happy New Year to
133. 23:33everybody um so I figured we'll do a little little hands on building some [ __ ] and getting some insights from from the
134. 23:43days I think it's actually quite remarkable that I you know what's funny is because I've not been in Big Data [Music]
135. 23:56um if you've been in big data and big data analytics it is probably not super remarkable to you that computers can process a lot of data
136. 24:05[Laughter] quickly but as just a regular human being who's just been out here using computers and being the subject of big
137. 24:15data right I I contribute to Google's data pool and Facebook's data pool and you know YouTube's data pool um I've been a contributor to
138. 24:26rather than a user of the Big Data [Music] it still kind of melts my face that I can upload transcripts of 24 hours of
139. 24:38video and it's just instantly available it understands everything that happened instantly we're going to be able to ask
140. 24:45it about any one of the sessions any nuances any comments of any kind we're going to be able to make podcasts about day one day
141. 24:56two the whole thing Kyle what is notebook LM well let's go [Music] play so if you want to play along you can go to notebook lm.
142. 25:13google.com and it's it's not dissimilar to if you've ever created a custom GPT where you can upload data to a
143. 25:23custom GPT the difference here though is that notebook LM is essentially limits what it processes to the uploaded
144. 25:32knowledge it uses large language models to be able to do lots of things with that knowledge but like if if if I ask
145. 25:40it about you know some marketing AI Institute event that Paul rater did the same time that we did AI Salon if that
146. 25:48happened I don't know if it did it wouldn't do it it would just say well I've I've only got access to you know
147. 25:54the the data here so so it's it's kind of a a really interesting way to limit um a data set that you interact
148. 26:03with and in a in a weird way it's kind of a I don't know if you've heard the term rag but it rag stands for retrieval
149. 26:09augmented generation where where you can take you can upload files effectively to a database where they get embedded into
150. 26:18this database and then you can search on those files and you can retrieve from those files specifically it's kind of a
151. 26:26a poor man's version of that where where you just upload a bunch of data and then you can start interacting with it um it
152. 26:32still hallucinates it's not perfect um but it's also got this really cool feature called audio overview so you upload all this data so
153. 26:41I'm going to upload all the transcripts of all the days of you know the both days of of the AI Fest of us um and and
154. 26:50we can make a podcast about the 24 sessions or the 23 sessions that's pretty slick right and it sounds like um the podcast sounds
155. 27:02like you know an NPR style thing where it's like the dude going well there's this AI Festivus thing oh AI Festivus
156. 27:09that's really interesting they go back and forth pretty slight it Dums down white papers yeah it's it's the uh the
157. 27:16audio overview thing is shockingly powerful [Music] Incognito I went to AI Festivus and all
158. 27:32I got was this lousy t-shirt we should make an AI Festivus lousy [Music] t-shirt but anyway we're making the the
159. 27:46certification the the sort of AI Festivus special edition um of of AI Readiness certification and then I think
160. 27:56what what I'm excited about what what I think do this idea of of AI Readiness um as something you can
161. 28:05teach I'm really intrigued by it and I'm I'm also intrigued to do it as the AI salon and and as she leads AI are two
162. 28:12communities coming together and saying you know here's what we think it takes to be to be ready for what's coming to
163. 28:19the extent any of us can be ready for what's coming all right let's go to no book LM shall we let's let's get let's get geeking

165. 28:46can view it in tile mode or and I assume I could put pictures in here if I wanted it to look better and you'll notice AI Festivus has
166. 28:54zero sources so we're going to start one completely from scratch and then you end up they they just changed this interface you can see all
167. 29:02this right yeah am I good am I good tab wise is everything good I don't have any nasty notes from Brandon Vicky's not yelling at
168. 29:11me my my mods over and Tik Tok aren't yelling at me wait a minute something's not right why am I not being yelled at you can

180. 31:42YouTube url if the YouTube If the YouTube is public so so here's a just a cool thing if you didn't know that that it can do
181. 31:51this you can go to YouTube and you can go find a [ __ ] ton of YouTube videos on a subject that you want to learn
182. 31:59something about just grab all those URLs and come over here to notebook LM paste the URLs in it will go out grab all the
183. 32:07transcripts from those videos bring them back and then you can start asking it questions about all those different
184. 32:13videos it's pretty slick but but because of just technical reasons we can't do that so what we're going to do is we're going to

194. 34:18wouldn't matter but I just have this suspicion that it matters but it may not okay now we're going to add some more

208. 37:14be cool to upload all of my screenplays into a single notebook LM and then start to ask it what are the commonalities
209. 37:22across my screenplays like be it would be a cool analysis tool to start learning what I've created so let's do a briefing
210. 37:29document of the of the event oh wait it's generating here we're going to delete one of
211. 37:50these let me trash one of those okay AI is a oh wait okay so this document synthesizes insights from a series of
212. 38:03transcripts exploring the various facets of artificial intelligence AI creativity in the
213. 38:20future so okay so we're going to do this we're going to say um the all all of these documents are the
214. 38:34transcripts from sessions of an event held on December 27th and 28th
215. 38:552024 called AI FES of us AI for the rest of
216. 39:11us that's pretty funny I think that's good comedy right there uh and it was sponsored by the AI salon and

244. 44:51experience scaling AI from individuals to Enterprise moderated by an Murphy this pan panel featured Bob Mitten
245. 45:00Jessica Herrera Matt Schmidt discussing the challenges and strategies of scaling AI from Individual use to larger
246. 45:09Corporation applications the discussion covered practical approaches this is awesome this is awesome okay so let's save this as a

275. 51:07direction to go I mean so so in general making any kind of money so here's my philosophy the reason I do you can make M the reason I do this
276. 51:20is when when chat GPT first came out Tik Tok was full of these [ __ ] [ __ ] huers that were saying you can make
277. 51:30money and there were so many of them and they all sounded like that I don't know why they had to have that voice like
278. 51:37like because because you gotta have a hook on Tik Tock right you can make my own just follow me just pay me $449.99
279. 51:45and I'll teach you how to make money and it pissed me off because you don't make money with chat GPT you don't make money with
280. 51:59Photoshop you don't make money with a shovel you make money because someone needed a hole and you know how to use a
281. 52:11shovel it's the hole you got to sell the whole right um and most of what they taught you was essentially use chat GPT to go solve a
282. 52:24problem that people would be willing to pay for so so the answer is yes but it's not it's not a direct it's not a direct
283. 52:32thing now here's the good news what chbt can do is it can dramatically accelerate that side hustle you know or
284. 52:42the work from home thing that you want to do so the first place I think you need to start is what are you guys good
285. 52:48at what are you passionate about what do you know where do you know that there's um there's uh a need right that that that you kind of
286. 53:04know how to solve or that you think if a solution could be come up with you would know if it's good or not
287. 53:14like that's where I'd start so I just start there but you don't need to dig much deeper than that like you can have
288. 53:21chat GPT do everything from that point forward so what I would say is start thinking about that and then just go to
289. 53:28chat GPT here's the here's the secret with chat GPT in in my opinion is tell it as much as you can so
290. 53:38don't what Google has taught us for the last 20 years is that you put in a really concise prompt and then you get back a big
291. 53:49answer and so a lot of people use chat GPT like Google I want to start a bit how do I make you know how do I start a
292. 53:56side business using chat GPT and it'll go well you come up with something and then you use chat GPT to do it and you
293. 54:03look at the answer and you're like well that's a [ __ ] answer because it was a [ __ ] question where chat GPT gets
294. 54:10really good is the more context you give it the better it gets and so what I would do is I would do things like so
295. 54:17let let me show you um some someone asked earlier who was it Crystal asked earlier um is there a way to type other
296. 54:23than typing there is on a Mac it's uh F5 is the it's got the little microphone icon on it you can if you in
297. 54:32accessibility settings on a Mac you turn on text to speech you just hit F5 and then it lets you talk instead of type so it' be like

303. 55:40um we've had an idea to start a t-shirt business or a printing business or whatever um give me some ideas for that
304. 55:48in our areas of expertise but also give me 20 more ideas of other things we could do on the side and then you could
305. 55:54say things like I want you to prioritize those ideas based on which ones we can generate income most quickly right and
306. 56:03then it'll come up with all those ideas another way to do it is use um let me we we'll come back to notebook
307. 56:13LM in a second because I think this is really important um go to chat GPT if you don't have the chat GPT app go get the chat GPT app and
308. 56:24use advanced voice voice mode so in the bottom corner see that little icon the little soundar looking icon or the Soundwave

368. 1:05:41with this machine and that's kind of what we all you know are gonna are going to deal with there's going to be varying degrees of
369. 1:05:51acceptance but what I would say is this don't just use it to freak people out what I would say is try to build a
370. 1:05:58bridge so if you want to use voice like that like the the exercise I just did where where um where I was asked can it
371. 1:06:09help me start a business yes it can and it can do it really quickly and you don't have to know prompt engineering
372. 1:06:15you can literally just tell it a situation and have it talk back to you and then the more you tell it and the

429. 1:18:22external document it doesn't save them which I think is there there's a there's an opportunity for an improvement
430. 1:18:30um if it gives you something that's crappy just delete it and try again just just keep rolling again and then if you
431. 1:18:37give it notes you can just modify those notes um because it just they VAR wildly sometimes it's absolutely [ __ ]

450. 1:22:52source models this is an application layer I'll I'll deal with some application layer stuff but generally not when it
451. 1:22:58gets to like really specific business business things okay now this so the previous overview that it created was 20
452. 1:23:06minutes this one's 13 minutes that that one oh it was deep seek and can't see your tab anyway it was deep seek sorry um I think
453. 1:23:16deep seek is absolutely remarkable blue H Blue's got blue on the Mind blue seek like I do I do not know this blue seek
454. 1:23:27um deep seek is remarkable so deep seek deep seek version three is a completely open source um with the weights so the
455. 1:23:37weights basically means you have the keys to the kingdom you understand how they made it you can modify it you can do anything you want with
456. 1:23:44it it was created by China which I saw I was tagged in a post on LinkedIn today that I haven't quite uh I haven't
457. 1:23:52thought deeply enough about it to answer but it basically said that you know a lot of these Chinese models are trojan
458. 1:23:59horse models because they're going to subtly you know put links and things like that to to you know Chinese sites and Chinese
459. 1:24:08Services which they might but I think because they're open- Source models that we could probably I don't know we could
460. 1:24:14probably figure out what they're doing there but we like I don't [ __ ] know I don't I don't know enough about how
461. 1:24:18they're made um but couple of things that are significant about deep sea deep sea it is 10 times cheaper than GPT 4 and
462. 1:24:29it's better it is it is on the the benchmarks the competitive sites consistently beating GPT 40 and Claude
463. 1:24:37Sonet um 3 3.5 Sonet new the you know whatever's the latest 3.5 Sonet um it's beating them those things cost in the neighborhood of 1 to20
464. 1:24:53million to train um on their training run this thing cost 5 million so what they how they did that is they took a pre a previous training
465. 1:25:07set they really cleaned up the data like dramatically cleaned up the data and then they used some sort of algorithms
466. 1:25:14to I don't know make it more efficient for how they trained it it was trained on 2,000 gpus not 100,000 gpus right um
467. 1:25:22so I think it took two months to train and $5 million which compared to these other model the fact that it's beating
468. 1:25:29those models it's 10 times cheaper to run and it only cost $5 million to train bodess really well for what we're all
469. 1:25:38going to have access to very very shortly which is on our phones on our iPads we're going to be able to have
470. 1:25:47models that are as good as the current state-of-the-art stuff just running locally without any internet connection so it's just crazy

503. 1:29:40the numbers like how many people showed up and like how many people were there for the sessions that's a great question and
504. 1:29:51it's really valid to want to know the specific numbers yeah I get it you want to know if it was a packed house or a
505. 1:29:56quiet Gathering so the organizers actually mentioned that over 2,000 people registered for the event which is
506. 1:30:03really impressive and speaks volumes to the interest in ethical Ai and while they didn't give exact numbers for each
507. 1:30:09individual session did oh yeah uhuh hey so I heard that Cindy [ __ ] actually spoke at this event is that true and if so what did she talk
508. 1:30:21about yes absolutely Sydney [ __ ] was a speaker and she had a really great session it's great that you're curious
509. 1:30:28about her because she had one of the most popular sessions at the entire event she led a session called
510. 1:30:32cultivating the AI mindset and really got people thinking about AI in a new way what's fascinating is that she
511. 1:30:38didn't focus on the technology she focus on the mindset behind it yeah she talked about being curious and collaborative
512. 1:30:44and not being afraid to experiment with all of this new tech she also shared some AI tools that can be used to help
513. 1:30:49people with their goal set oh yeah let's hear it all right so anyway so that's the um that's the all right I hear you it sound
514. 1:31:01um it was it was um there was a little hallucination there it didn't quite get the it didn't get the the stats from the other things
515. 1:31:12that I added so I think I would probably have to take like if I want to get the stats in there maybe I'll do this collectively
516. 1:31:26showcased maybe I grab this that's got that's got all the stats in it and go throw it
517. 1:31:44into this and Export this as a export is a PDF we say AI f of us I'll just say

529. 1:34:28the session summar should not focus on the moderators or room hosts unless their contributions are directly relevant to the session
530. 1:34:48topic do not mention that this is a collection of transcripts but rather describe the event as if you spent two full days taking in the
531. 1:35:06event and even comment on your experience being part of something like this period

540. 1:37:10but you really had to muck with the output toward the end of 2024 these tools got so good that they have the appearance of non jankiness
541. 1:37:21[Laughter] but here here's my best way to categorize AI tools right now you can get to 80% of what you want instantly
542. 1:37:33like it's remarkable like you can get to a nice book outline and even a first draft of a chapter like 80% like bang
543. 1:37:41instantly you're like holy [ __ ] this is amazing getting from 80 to 90% actually takes some work you got to reprompt and
544. 1:37:48you got to do this you got to edit and getting from 90 to 95% is actually really hard and then getting it the the
545. 1:37:56final 5% just like when you're Ren renovating a house where it's just the last 5% never gets done that's kind of
546. 1:38:04like what it's like with AI right now it's just not usable um Brandon just put U AI

548. 1:38:31is the community manager of the AI salon and she fielded all of the questions of every single person going is this being

550. 1:38:46recording Mia's wife tell them oh you're Kyle but wait and see if they oh want to interview me okay I'll I'll do that let's see what it
551. 1:38:57does Crystal's new and hasn't seen the janky oh you will so it you won't see the janky initially it's it's
552. 1:39:07fascinating especially if if you're good if you're a good human Communicator like if you're good at talking to people and
553. 1:39:15you just talk to the the AI whether it's an image generation tool or chat GPT or or you know notebook LM
554. 1:39:24and you just have like a good back and forth conversation with it you will get really good results it's when you want to do something
555. 1:39:33specific where it'll get it like it'll get it like 80 or 90% there where you're like oh that's great oh this one
556. 1:39:41sentence and then you try to get it to fix that sentence and it [ __ ] everything else up and then and you're
557. 1:39:48like wait but well I want a part of this and a part of that but now this is right but that's wrong and it's just this
558. 1:39:54never ending back and forth and and what you end up with is every single AI project is essentially just a
559. 1:40:00Frankenstein monstrosity of piece parts that it got some part of right and then you know you're gluing them together with your actual human
560. 1:40:10words it's [ __ ] wild yeah like adversarial prompts are really good yeah like no that sucks don't do it that way I don't like that
561. 1:40:20make it less words make it less wordy make it more wordy make it it flowery don't make it flowery all that sort of

565. 1:40:50it and what really stood out was the focus on excessive ility making AI understandable and approachable even if
566. 1:40:57you aren't a tech expert right it wasn't about complex algorithm or coding jargon it was about the human side of AI how
567. 1:41:04it's impacting Our Lives its ethical implications and how we can all be a part of shaping its future and speaking
568. 1:41:09of accessibility the event was completely free which is a testament to the organizer's commitment to making AI
569. 1:41:16knowledge inclusive absolutely it was a huge success I mean the event drew a massive online this is one of the things
570. 1:41:23that this uh feature will sometimes do is what it's doing right now where they're kind of each finish finishing
571. 1:41:30each other sentences but it's like it's totally mechanical it's like every other line it's it's very annoying this this
572. 1:41:37is one I would probably throw my audience and there was a real Buzz on social media during and after the event
573. 1:41:44with people sharing their excitement and key takeaways absolutely the energy was contagious and it's no surprise
574. 1:41:50considering the hosts an Murphy founder of the shal lead's AI Community andal Shannon the digital innovator behind the
575. 1:41:57AI Salon which boasts over 2,000 members they really curated a unique experience focus on positive applications of AI
576. 1:42:05speaking of community the event was sponsored by a whole network of AI focused organizations and podcasts
577. 1:42:11including localized podcast coaching cubic squared marketing AI build lab and empowered by AI podcast it really
578. 1:42:19showcased the collaborative Spirit of the AI That's nice it pul it pulled the sponsors out of the out of the

602. 1:48:37notebook it's think of it like he took the time to write some code that does a bunch of cool stuff and all you have to
603. 1:48:43do is hit play buttons but you can go in and you can modify the code and he and he created this whole thing where you
604. 1:48:49can go in and muck with the code and he explains what the code does and it explains how large language models work
605. 1:48:55and it actually visualized how a large language model breaks um the English language like a paragraph into tokens
606. 1:49:04into the individual piece parts that make up words and punctuation and all that sort of stuff and then it it shows
607. 1:49:12how it turns that into just mathematical SE like numerical sequences and when it's doing all of what it's doing it's
608. 1:49:21literally just it's like the Matrix right you see all those numbers falling it's just dealing with math man it's
609. 1:49:29just math up in the [ __ ] Laten space doing its thing and then it comes out like it comes out it's absolutely
610. 1:49:37remarkable oh man I don't care nobody calls me doctor okay good I just I felt bad after the fact because someone
611. 1:49:45pointed it out Serena pointed it out um um Amelio's wife pointed it out and she sent me a she sent me email that I

642. 1:54:55experiment rather than feeling intimidated or overwhelmed it's okay not to know everything and learning by doing
643. 1:55:01is a great way to get started just start using it and brain dump don't hesitate just jump into using AI tools just like
644. 1:55:08I did with the question about how can we start a side business just start talking to it you don't need to be structured or
645. 1:55:14organized just experience experiment and see what happens AI can understand unstructured input that is so important AI can understand
646. 1:55:24unstructured input you can literally just vomit into this thing and it will figure it out it's amazing focus on practical quick wins
647. 1:55:35look for small manageable tasks where a AI can make an immediate impact rather than trying to tackle the complexities
648. 1:55:41right away this approach allows you to build confidence and demonstrate the value of AI quickly use free AI tools to
649. 1:55:48get started begin with free tools like chat GPT or Claud familiarize yourself with their capabilities this lets you
650. 1:55:54learn and experiment the without the pressure of financial commitments I also would say don't buy any annual
651. 1:56:00subscriptions right now just do month-to month leverage AI to enhance your zone of Genius brilliant identify your
