24. 4:45because I didn't have a producer um yeah it just you know it didn't I I need a producer so at some point I might do a podcast um

43. 7:49um Microsoft said they're going to pay your legal bills if anyone sues you for copyright for for using generative AI
44. 7:57which I thought was interesting Paul ritzer was talking about that today on the marketing AI podcast and his take was was a pretty solid one
45. 8:09which is which is if they're putting out if they're putting out um if they're making an announcement that
46. 8:18they're going to pay for your legal bills if you get sued for copyright you know or or trademark infringement based
47. 8:24on what this [ __ ] was trained on that means that their big customers are saying that that's that's one of the
48. 8:31things that's being pushed back on so um I didn't I didn't go immediately to the cynical point of view but I actually
49. 8:38thinks Paul Paul is right on that one um so that was an interesting one all right all right what's up Kyle hey mad cap with shaken
50. 8:56have you read AI 2041 interesting read I have not read it I don't know what it is is that a book or is it an article AI 2041 is it a
51. 9:10prediction a book by kaifuli and Chan Ki fan keep on groundbreaking book imagines how artificial intelligence will train
52. 9:22change our world within 20 years yeah interesting no I haven't read it and I likely won't just because of my ADD

65. 12:12I think are worth playing with so what you can and maybe should do if you're new to this stuff is screenshot the next

69. 13:12there are probably many more than this but there are seven tools that I think are worth exploring right now that are like chat
70. 13:21GPT one of them's chat so check that openai.com that's the official chat EBT website Claude is like chat gbt but you can put bigger stuff in
71. 13:31there Bard is Google's version of this um Bing is Microsoft's version of chat GPT it actually is built on top of gpt4
72. 13:45um a lot of bad experiences with that lately their their safety guard rails right now are making that kind of
73. 13:52unusable but it's connected to the internet and it can generate images it's just that it's just it's very
74. 13:59frustrating right now to actually try to use it um labs.perplexity that's metaslama models pi is chatty GPT so if you download the
75. 14:13PI app that's really good and then Poe lets you play with a bunch of different models you can switch between different
76. 14:20models and it's got a bot maker there and the bot maker is actually a good way to practice your prompting so these seven the four here
77. 14:28plus these guys are all things worth exploring prompts.chat will teach you how to talk to these things and then on
78. 14:36the image front this is my list of things that I think are worth paying attention to right now mid journey and
79. 14:43ideogram are kind of the top of the list right now because mid journey is just highest quality ideogram lets us do
80. 14:51things like put words in images like these these are all ideogram the quality images isn't anywhere near
81. 15:02mid-journey good but mid-journey can't do letters so if you want an AI learning lab ideograms your your tool of choice
82. 15:13um Leonardo is built on top of stable diffusion if you've heard that it's a website that lets you use that hey Jen go to labs.hn.com
83. 15:23and you can make translations by uploading a video in your language and picking I think they have eight languages there right now
84. 15:35I mean that's how we capture the content but because we have them in this organized structured way that approach
85. 15:41can be used for everything from how you capture original content with traditional video production to how you
86. 15:47leverage these assets to create social media content things like that organizations
87. 16:06can't even I can't even mimic myself I'm so bad at Italian so um yeah so it's it's it's quite remarkable it's a very new tool
88. 16:16um and uh apparently it's a bit of an afterthought for that company which I found mind-blowing um and then um three days ago Adobe
89. 16:29took Adobe Firefly and Photoshop generative fill out of beta so you can now use the images you create with those things commercially and
90. 16:40um the nice thing about that if you work for a company a big Corporation or a big company that's concerned about you know
91. 16:46if the or if you're an artist concerned about are these models trained on copywritten images um adobe's or not they're they're
92. 16:54trained on public domain images in Adobe stock images that they've got the rights to and and adobe's
93. 17:01going to be doing things that are artist friendly like allowing artists to opt out of being trained opt into being
94. 17:08trained get attribution get compensation things like that all right so that's all that stuff um the other thing
95. 17:17um I've got I started a community called the AI salon which if you're if you're looking to find a a pile of like-minded people that
96. 17:26are just trying to figure this [ __ ] out that's what that group is um and we've got a Discord and we we do
97. 17:31meetups every other week we just had one this past Tuesday that was that was really really good and um yeah so that's the that's the salon
98. 17:40and the link all the links are in there for the Discord for the Meetup things like that what it's all about
99. 17:47um there's no cost to it it's just a thing it's just a thing um the other thing I think we still have
100. 17:54a scammer I quite frankly haven't looked at this guy in a while but please go check if you follow this Channel please

112. 20:10I'll let you know how it runs llama two I have 80 gigs of RAM I think it's going to be slow well llama two there's
113. 20:17there's three different versions of llama two there's the the 7 billion the 13 billion and the 70 billion parameter
114. 20:25model if you were talking about the 70 billion parameter model yeah that's probably gonna be slow but the seven is probably pretty quick
115. 20:32I think the code llama's like 35 or 36 billion so that might be a little better and that's good for coding um

119. 21:18in New Jack City I still get I still get checks for that because because sag had contracts back then uh where they paid residuals on
120. 21:31[ __ ] for the life of the film as opposed to all the all the modern contracts with the streaming services which is what
121. 21:38they're striking about one of the things they're striking about um I was in um an episode of America's
122. 21:43Most Wanted that's where I met my friend Steve sashin who's he's the CEO of zero shoes a minimalist shoe company we we
123. 21:50met he played the killer I played his best friend um trying to think what else I was in I don't know I didn't I didn't I was living in New
124. 22:00York I wasn't really pursuing a uh I wasn't pursuing a uh you know a uh film career although as an actor you'll
125. 22:09take any [ __ ] job you get it's always funny when I see when I see um interviews with actors they're like
126. 22:15you know what made you take this script you know uh because they offered me the job is is the actual answer
127. 22:26and then the actors are like oh I read the I read the script and I was quite impressed with the uh the story arc was
128. 22:33very it's very moving to me I had a personal connection to it immediately yeah the personal connection was you might get a paycheck

130. 22:55I use pie camp catkin what's happening I use pie for the first time last night and it was amazing isn't
131. 23:02it amazing so so by the way what what cam likely did um is so if you go to Pi dot a i you can it's it's like chat gbt but you
132. 23:16can put it in voice mode you can do it in the web but it's easier if you download the PI app so if you go to
133. 23:23Apple or Android I think it's available for both I know it's available for apple and you search for Pi Pi personal assistant
134. 23:32you'll see it's like a green vertical bar little icon for the logo or for the whatever for the preview and
135. 23:45um put it into voice mode so in the lower right hand corner there's a little phone icon you can hit the three three
136. 23:50buttons and then you get a phone icon and you can just start talking to it you can there's one of six voices you can
137. 23:56you can assign it and it is designed to have a conversation with you and it's really good at that it's not great at
138. 24:04um if you want to do research or like do like [ __ ] you do with chat EBT it's not good for that but it's connected to the internet and
139. 24:14you can really get a sense of the future of these tools right so so imagine if Alexa or Siri could just talk and could answer pretty
140. 24:27much any question and could be encouraging and could make a game and could tell you what's going on in town that night and could I I used it
141. 24:38um I had I my battery died in my car and but it was it was not clear that it was a dead battery it was like there was
142. 24:46weird electrical [ __ ] going on and um it helped me troubleshoot my car like it's crazy like you you can ask it
143. 24:57you know if you're following The Tick Tock memes you could ask it about the Roman Empire or you could ask it about
144. 25:03your Ford Flex and the weird electrical problems you're having um or or anything it's pretty remarkable
145. 25:10yeah so that's that's that's something let's see open code interpreter yeah yeah yeah so someone just sent me in Discord jrc did um
146. 25:24um there's so so in Chachi BT there's a thing called code interpreter what was that I guess I set a timer um there's a thing called code
147. 25:33interpreter from openai there's an open source version of that now um I installed it on my machine and I
148. 25:41like I haven't played with it a ton but but basically what you can do is just like code interpreter you can basically ask it to do stuff
149. 25:50against all the files on your computer like go find me files that have this in their name or go um change my theme to dark mode and it
150. 26:00will just go do that stuff so um and it's interesting the the uh you mentioning that you used Pi cam is these things are going to get very
151. 26:16um these agents that we talk to these agents that we interact with are gonna are in Fairly short order probably within a year or two
152. 26:28going to start um doing things on our behalf so actually taking action I think apple apple will will be really good at this
153. 26:39um you know you'll just say to the agent go deal with my tax this tax question go you know make run me a report for this month's
154. 26:49you know expenses for my company um it's good it's going to do all sorts of stuff go book a trip go order my food on
155. 26:59on you know or you know make reservations for us on open table um what model did you use to compare health insurance plans and prompt so
156. 27:11that that was an interesting one share but we spent like 45 minutes it was it was rough but it was good I actually did a video on it on um
157. 27:24what I call the video um um I was basically just talking about um if you're going to spend 45 minutes
158. 27:41looking at the health insurance options or you're going to spend 45 minutes trying to get an AI to look at the
159. 27:48health insurance options for you which is the better use of your time and the argument that I make in the in the video
160. 27:56that I posted it's like the second oldest video or something like that is that it's it's better to spend your time
161. 28:04trying to get AI to do it because three years from now we won't look at those crazy PDFs they give us for open
162. 28:11enrollment that have all the numbers on them where we have to figure this [ __ ] out um there's going to be tools for like
163. 28:17our autonomous agents will look at all that [ __ ] and make recommendations for us and explain what all the [ __ ] means and
164. 28:23um so by spending 45 minutes interacting with with that PDF manually you're actually interacting with the way
165. 28:32we used to do it even though we haven't shifted to the Future yet right so so if you kind of accept that this AI stuff is
166. 28:40going to be coming it's much it's it it's much better to spend the 45 minutes trying to get AI to read that PDF but
167. 28:47anyway what we did was we went to gpt4 with the plug-in and um uploaded the PDF to to read my PDF and that didn't quite work it couldn't
168. 29:03what what was the what was the problem with the the PDF is that even though it was sort of organized and structured it wasn't
169. 29:12it wasn't clearly like a like a CSV file and read my PDF couldn't parse it then we imported it into code interpreter and
170. 29:23it couldn't parse it like it would get close but it like like like the the PDF instead of having the name of the company
171. 29:33for for the plan typed out it was an image and because it was an image like I said you know find us the plans for Moda Moda
172. 29:44and it couldn't find it because that was a graphic not a word right so it's like PDFs are weird like that where that you
173. 29:52know they're they're a mix of images and words or they're all images or they're all words but it's like it's never clear
174. 29:58um and and the tools right now aren't sophisticated enough to to do a mix of you know just read the text you know
175. 30:06read the images OCR what's appropriate figure out what the charts are like they're not doing sophisticated [ __ ]
176. 30:12right now right which gets back to this idea that all these tools are janky pieces of [ __ ] so we were we were you know janking
177. 30:22around with chat gbt and then we went to Claude and Claude was the one that actually did it so with Claude you can upload there's a
178. 30:32little paper clip um right here in Claude and you can upload multiple documents so we just uploaded it there and this was after
179. 30:39this was after like half an hour 40 minutes something like that and I was totally expecting Claude to just fail just like Chachi BT did
180. 30:47because I I have more confidence in chat gbt than I do in Claude although that's changing um and Claude got it
181. 30:56they could see it it gave us what the seven plans were it pulled the relevant information out when I asked that
182. 31:02follow-on questions it it it helped explain the difference between co-insurance and co-pays and like why there's it was crazy
183. 31:15um and then and then we got rate limited out of out of uh Claude because I haven't I haven't played for so Claude now has
184. 31:22um Claude Pro which has five times the amount of of interactions as non-claude Pro but I don't want to pay 20 bucks to
185. 31:31them and to open AI right now so pie and Poe um okay so let's go let's go take a look at that that's a really good question
186. 31:50why do I sing like this this is my grandma my grandfather did this he did it when he got nervous he would whistle
187. 31:59songs that didn't exist kind of like I was just singing you just walk around the house you could always tell when he was
188. 32:10nervous it was pretty funny uh all right so we'll go to Pi so Pi is just like chat GPT
189. 32:24um it seems to have one of the things Pi seems to have is it's got whenever you log into chat GPT it's giving you
190. 32:35it's it's a new conversation what happens with pi is that it's it's um it kind of remembers everything you've talked with
191. 32:45or talk to about it but it doesn't go I I don't know how far back it goes but like all this stuff is like stuff that
192. 32:53I've been talking with it about let's see there's just a light and an air conditioner but the air conditioners off
193. 33:00oh this was I was having Pi help me um troubleshoot an electrical system with my house apparently I've had a couple a couple of issues with
194. 33:08electrical systems lately um it's probably definitely not the Russians it's probably definitely not hackers definitely not
195. 33:19um that was a joke Tick Tock come on okay so let's see where's talk with pie okay so the thing about Pi so if I say to Pi
196. 33:36um [Music] um let's see what's happening in Denver tonight in the music scene
197. 33:53it's connected to the internet so it should give us a decent answer here well it depends on the kind of music
198. 33:59you're interested in but there's always a lot happening in the Denver music scene there are lots if you're into music you could also um what

214. 36:24internet it is like chat EBT but one of the things that it's really bad at is if you just wanted to give you
215. 36:32like a list of stuff or solve an equation for you just keeps asking you questions because it's designed to be conversational
216. 36:39so Pi is very much about having conversations um Poe on the other hand has a lot of things going on so
217. 36:53um [Music] okay so when you get here you've got kind of a little bit of a history of things you've interacted with
218. 37:06you can see your whole history there's a thing here called your Bots um so you can make your own Bots there's
219. 37:14you know profile things like that they've got a Mac app an IOS app an Android app um and then you can explore bots so
220. 37:25there's popular Bots like there's a mid Journey bot like for example the mid-journey bot I can write um make me an image of a can of soda
221. 37:41sitting on top of a volcano which is a crappy prompt and then it will rewrite it as a good mid Journey prompt a color photo of a can of soda
222. 37:52sitting on top of a volcano sparkling vibrant reflect reflecting the sunlight smoking fiery molten lava billowing
223. 38:00smoke intense heat suspenseful dangerous surreal Nikon d850 Kodak ektar 100 film like like it knows all the terms it
224. 38:10brings in photographers like David Lynch and Annie Leibowitz and Alexander McQueen um so that's a bot and that's so
225. 38:18basically it's just a quick little you know someone is sort of pre-prompted um this large language model to
226. 38:26do mid-journey [ __ ] and then there's tons of them so so here's some of the ones that are there but one of the
227. 38:33things you can do is you can create your own bot so you just give it a name you give it a description you give it a prompt so you
228. 38:41tell it to how to act it's kind of like custom instructions in chat EPT you you can give it an image um which I I make mine in mid-journey
229. 38:51and then you publish the bot and you could give it so I'm a librarian if if you um you could make a librarian bot that you
230. 39:01train up on how to answer questions about the library like that would be a super cool thing you could do and then
231. 39:06you could give that out to people right so so po.com slash I'm a librarian um could be your Bot right and it could it could answer people
232. 39:16um and it's a good way to practice your prompting because if if you don't have the prompt quite dialed in the bot acts
233. 39:23a little wonky and doesn't behave the way you want it to and if you get it dialed in it behaves better
234. 39:28the other thing that you've got going at Poe is you've got multiple models so you've got the PO model is called
235. 39:36assistant but then you've got Claude instant 100 000 you've got gpt4 you've got Claude 2 100 000 so this is
236. 39:47basically the new Claude model this is like the gpt4 competitor um so so you can switch between different models in the same interface
237. 39:55and that allows you to you know without changing tools figure out which one of those things might serve you better
238. 40:05um it's a little bit of a I don't know it's a little overly friendly you can upload files to it I don't think you can
239. 40:14upload images to it and I don't think it makes like if I put it in gpt4 mode and say make me an image of a soda can sitting
