19. 4:26entering a phase of lots of new toys to play with and and I've gotten two of them now um one one we had before but
20. 4:34it's it's weird oh thank you for the heart um a lot of people on on on Twitter on X were like oh chat PT got access to the
21. 4:46internet they've never had that before no they had that for [ __ ] six months and then you know they made a boo
22. 4:56boo so um where to to begin tonight where to begin all right you know what I think it's important to start at the beginning
23. 5:09that's generally where you begin right so welcome here if you're new here um we do things a little differently in
24. 5:17AI learning lab well I don't know there might be someone that does it just like this uh but how we do it here is ask me
25. 5:26any questions you want I'll do my best to answer them if you're just getting started with generative AI if you've not played with chat GPT
26. 5:34ever and you're annoyed people are like you got try ai ai is the best you're going to love AI I know we're annoying
27. 5:42I'm one of them and that's exactly how I say it hey how's it going my name's Kyle have you tried AI it's the best you
28. 5:50haven't tried it you should really try it so if you're in here you should try it go there just go to the top one
29. 5:58that's the official chat GPT website um I'm going to show some really exciting stuff they added some new stuff
30. 6:06in here well they' they've been adding new stuff over the past week um I got two of the three things I've been waiting
31. 6:12for and uh boy is it slick the uh the dolly thing in particular is really slick then you got Bard and Claude and
32. 6:20Bing these are kind of the top four this is what we like to call the adults table here so take a screenshot grab that and
33. 6:26that little thing prompt. chat that thing down below if you're just getting started with this and you're like I
34. 6:32don't know what these things are it kind of looks like Google is it Google do you just stick in words and it gives you a website sort of but
35. 6:40no it's deeply more profound than Google um but it's as simple as Google it's just a text box and then uh what you can
36. 6:48do with it is quite remarkable so that prompt. chat will teach you how to do that this is the kids table so still
37. 6:56important things to play with um Pi that one is what we call chatty GPT if you get the IOS app of Pi Pi search for pi
38. 7:08personal assistant and put that App into conversation mode there's a little phone icon you click the little green phone
39. 7:15icon and you can talk to it and it talks back to you and it's remarkable um and it's not perfect but
40. 7:22it's connected to the internet it's very conversational it's very very interesting um perplexity a is interesting labs. perplexity gives you
41. 7:31access to meta's llama 2 models um PO is really interesting it's uh you can play with multiple different models there you
42. 7:39can make Bots there all that sort of stuff um all right so that's that now um pitches there's pitches Dolly 3 you can
43. 7:53play with that inside bing bing uh.com if you go to bing.com sreat or just bing.com and just ask it to make an image it'll do it that's
44. 8:02dolly3 I now have it inside chat GPT and it is amazing it is a completely different experience I suppose you could
45. 8:11probably do this within Bing but the distance between Bing's version of chat GPT and um open ai's version of chat GPT
46. 8:20is staggering it's it's just amazing I'll show it to you in a second then you got mid Journey that's really good but
47. 8:26it's a pain in the ass you got to go to Discord it's very confusing if you don't know Discord ideogram is simple and can
48. 8:32do text but once you see Dolly 3 I think you're going to forget quickly about ideam and then Adobe their Firefly and
49. 8:40Photoshop generative fill tools are good they're live you can use them for commercial I've been playing with Dolly
50. 8:463 today are you able to create an image to size 16 by9 yeah in fact in fact yes and you can do 9 by6 and you can do it's
51. 8:57it's amazing we'll play with it here in a second I know and you're like Kyle why haven't you started yet cuz you know I'm
52. 9:02trying to serve the people here people calm down calm down you learning labbers the the people that show up here
53. 9:10regularly we call them the Irregulars well they name themselves the Irregulars and I adopted it cuz I think it's [ __ ] [Laughter]

59. 10:16um there are thousands of them most of them are horrible so just know that most of this AI stuff right now is really bad
60. 10:25those three guys Ethan mullik David Shapiro and Paul I should probably put Rachel Woods on on here she's a a tick
61. 10:33tocker that's got the AI exchange um but these guys are consistently putting out really really amazing stuff Ethan mullik
62. 10:40is a Wharton business school Professor his blog is one useful thing he just did a big uh wrap up of what the hell's
63. 10:47going on with AI over the past year David Shapiro is creating AGI as an open source project and is one of the most
64. 10:55brilliant dudes I've ever seen and then Paul rer from the marketing a AI Institute is just down to earth and really smart
65. 11:05about this shit's coming you'd better start dealing with it he's just really good at it he's got a weekly podcast all
66. 11:12right then one final thing tomorrow tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow I kick off um a workshop that I
67. 11:21designed um another Creator named Rhonda Phillips has uh a community of creatives she's a voiceover AR artist and a uh a
68. 11:32creative coach and so we created the AI Launchpad for creatives and it starts tomorrow October 4th that's
69. 11:41Wednesday and from 5: to 7 um mountain time and it's at Ronda voice.com events um you can still get in there's still

83. 14:08um so where you think you might be weak at something you're going to be able to get really good at it so anyway that's

94. 15:24think we'll probably do a thing where we'll make access to them if if you didn't attend at all available at some
95. 15:31point so um Rhonda's in charge of all that um so I don't know exactly what the rules are there but yeah I think so

116. 18:38don't have access to unless you pay for chat GPT plus and then uh and then you get access to it you get access to a
117. 18:46whole lot of other stuff oh thank you very much for the cute little dog butt dog butts is cute I like dog butt I like dog butt so if you've
118. 19:02got um gp4 and you want to know where all the goodies are the extra special stuff you go to um settings and
119. 19:15beta and you go to Beta features and then you turn them on and look I got a new one browse with Bing is back so
120. 19:24browse with Bing is back plugins and Advanced Data analysis what I don't have right now is what your live is being flagged for
121. 19:41harassment was it cuz I said I like dog butt who was I harassing all right whatever um spam no it came up as a
122. 19:53dialogue box I mean if someone can figure out how to dialogue box Tik Tok in a spammy kind of way whatever so I
123. 20:02might not be showing anything tonight cuz uh apparently I'm harassing people did I say anything AI reported you
124. 20:14apparently I said a bunch of bad stuff about Sam Alman last night they did it in my life too that's weird what okay

126. 20:29an [ __ ] or something like that sounds like it damn Bots I know the Bots the Bots right anyway browse with Bing is back and look

128. 20:4811 when I went and did something and then I got I went I went on a Discord and retr punk said don't go to bed yet
129. 20:56and he found he got a uh a form from the open AI Discord from one of the developers at open AI that said he wants to he wants people to test
130. 21:11dolly3 um and so filled out the form and look at this look at how exciting this all is okay let's see how do we get rid of that what is
131. 21:25that I got weird uh what what you call it Reflections so we got regular chat GPT 44 we've got browse with Bing we've
132. 21:35got Advanced Data analysis formally code interpreter we've got plugins and we've got Dolly 3 Dolly 3 oh I know Kyle you
133. 21:44may never sleep again exactly I'm going to bed good night regulars okay after Dolly 3 okay exactly all right so I'll
134. 21:52do for you I'll do Dolly 3 first so you flip into Dolly 3 mode so now we're in Dolly 3 tree mode now check

153. 25:00convey the core principles here are my suggestions for each value curiosity image description a photo of diverse

155. 25:15forward glowing digital orbs so so it's it's putting together some some prompting some descriptions all right let's see would you like me to

181. 30:00it a bit more subtle and bring back some of the colors of the original pop image you did now it may or may not remember what
182. 30:11it wrote for for that prompt but this like like if you've ever worked with an art director right if you've ever worked with a
183. 30:23creative this is what you do but this is normally conversations that happen over days or weeks right okay that's cool love
184. 30:36it so what what was the next value the next value generosity okay let's go with this style period it looks

189. 31:34there's so there's so much to do there's so much to talk about people I did a thing yesterday where I tried to get it
190. 31:40to make the the zombie kid I had it WR a children's book about a kid wearing Z zombie makeup at a at a local Carnival
191. 31:49and then a turtle and and a hedgehog so using all of our little inside jokes and when it made the image of the kid did it
192. 31:57put him next to a mirror but then like he didn't have zombie makeup on but his reflection in the mirror did but but it
193. 32:04was coming out of the mirror it can't do mirrors at all so this is very much an alpha right now so it's like I think
194. 32:11they're still trying to get this thing dialed in um but anyway um I'm going to say um both curiosity and generosity are
195. 32:23misspelled in your past two images period why don't you try to do the first four values in pop art where you

233. 41:29feature can analyze an image so if you use there's there's a one of the modes in gp4 is Advanced Data analysis so you
234. 41:39can analyze an image there you can upload an image there and do things like find out the file format or save it in a
235. 41:48different format or make it animate or or figure out the colors in it that's not the data analysis that that the image
236. 41:56upload thing does the image upload is actually site it can actually see what's in an image so you can take let me see if I got something
237. 42:05around here you could take something like this print and upload a picture of it and it would describe the shapes in it the

593. 1:44:22first think how would I do that in Ai and go try it it's hard because we've all got our behaviors and and these

648. 1:52:34gp4 frontier model and so this is open AI chat GPT and this is Bing chat and this one sucks because as Sam said it's been fine-tuned

748. 2:09:07sensors and now they can process what you said and inquire about their own sensors you don't need to write code to
749. 2:09:14pull out the data from their sensors you can say hey how's your battery doing and they go oh I'm at 58% I should be good for a
750. 2:09:26bit you know Elon musk's goal is to get the cost of those humanoid robots to 20 grand his goal is to have one or two
751. 2:09:37robots per human being on Earth so the the the guy that asked earlier um how long before before you know the
752. 2:09:48the the an agent can order me a coffee machine and have it you know find me the cheapest one and have it shipped here um

886. 2:32:50it's something like a musical instrument where where there's a dexterity thing like that that requires a lot of a lot
887. 2:32:56of years but the music theory part of that you could probably get really deep really quick I mean that would be an
888. 2:33:06interesting thing just just as a personal experiment like what what new completely new job could I do through 30 days from
889. 2:33:19now the A I L L J Term exactly just [ __ ] pick something and go I Mi zombie kid with a turtle you [ __ ] weirdo you're a
890. 2:33:34weirdo I like it it's exactly way I like it oh that's why I can't pin it what why why can't you pin it exactly don't hold my kid back yeah

896. 2:34:37here I think the the requirement for the tea starts to go starts to go away the requirement for it you can choose to go
897. 2:34:46deep in something but the requirement for it you have to go deep in this subject because it's it's too much for

920. 2:38:16billion from Amazon and then Bing is Microsoft right so the these are kind of the major players right
921. 2:38:23now um so go go go play with them um my phone is telling me to go to bed uh the beginning is near people
922. 2:38:43the a thought AI may fall hold in personalized data mining to the output I've not developed this yet um
923. 2:38:52personalized data mining to the output yeah I think I think I think that's right and I think that uh the implications of that one tonius
924. 2:39:05are really cool because so we just had the SAG well we still have the SAG strike the writer strike just ended but but one of the
925. 2:39:18things that they both struck for was they realized that if they don't take if they don't take the leverage that they've got
926. 2:39:31today and get a good contract they're not going to have any leverage tomorrow that's what they realized it's it's a
927. 2:39:39big part of the AI part of their strike and in the case of acting and writing and you know Arts that are like that much about
928. 2:39:50intellectual property it makes perfect sense right you you you understand the value of your contribution of art right because it's
929. 2:39:59cuz that's the business the business is create this artifact that other people are going to make money on and make sure that you do
930. 2:40:07that in such a way that you get to participate in the money that gets made and I think that the what tonius is talking about about
931. 2:40:19folding in personal data mining into these AI tools is I'm 58 and I've been on the internet in some form or other since I don't know

939. 2:41:25that [ __ ] and make it chat GPT so imagine being able to chat GPT not just with the knowledge of all of the
940. 2:41:32internet but with the knowledge of your internet and you're going to be like oh [ __ ] been on the internet since IRC yeah
941. 2:41:43IRC all those things yeah exactly exactly um and I think what's going to happen is more and more people are going to
942. 2:41:55realize the value that they've created over their lifetime that can now be mined and they're going to mine it for
943. 2:42:03themselves but what they're going to realize is oh that book I started is actually a really good book maybe I
944. 2:42:08should finish that now I've got tools to help me do that and and oh that that that idea I had at work is is really
945. 2:42:16valuable but but now work owns that and I think I think the implication is that over the next decade people are are going to be
946. 2:42:27increasingly aware of the value of their of of what they have created and how that can be leveraged and they're going to start
947. 2:42:42demanding um a piece of the pie right so instead of just working for the company and saying any thought that I have is the is
948. 2:42:52the property of the companies well historically the company couldn't really do a ton with that because most data
949. 2:42:58just gets dumped on hard drives and then it's dead well now that you dump this data into the machine and you can pull
950. 2:43:05it back out and manipulate it in all sorts of amazing ways I think people are going to start going wait I've got value here so
951. 2:43:13imagine employment contracts that are now centered around individuals and and their the combination of their
952. 2:43:21historical output their future output and the people that they're associated with the networks that they have and so so so I think the
953. 2:43:32implications of personal data mining are an acute awareness of everyone's individual power that they can start to wield in employment
954. 2:43:44situations so think like mini little strikes like if you want to work with me you got to work on my terms because I
955. 2:43:51want to be able to take all these ideas I have and all these interesting people I know and all these interesting
956. 2:43:58whatevers that I have that the machine can leverage and and you can rent some of that power but you know it it stays in
957. 2:44:10my Orbit as we move forward so I don't know I don't know if I was articul on that but that just feels feels the way
958. 2:44:18we're going I'm not just a robot I have the photos goodbye that's good IRC Internet relay chat was what
959. 2:44:31IRC was called it was a text based um if if if you're old enough to remember AOL or or just it was like
960. 2:44:39Facebook except it was text only and you had to dial into you you would dial di your your computer into someone else's
961. 2:44:48Internet relay chat server and you could you could basically have realtime chats but it was just wonky and horrible there
962. 2:44:55was all sorts of there was yeah just all sorts of these command line the internet was command line so you know how in mid
963. 2:45:01Journey right now you have to type command lines functions to get it to make images yeah that's how the internet used
964. 2:45:10to be I met my first girlfriend that was a man on IRC my first night on the internet yeah man cat fishing's been around for a [Laughter]
965. 2:45:26while oh I have a here's a here's a fun catfishing kind of thing now I gotta go I've been thinking about so there's
966. 2:45:34going to be there's there's already the sort of catfishing of like people don't look like what they look like right they
967. 2:45:39they do their they fancify themselves and make themselves look better than they look but so imagine you're having a
968. 2:45:48conversation with someone and you know they just seem to say all the right things and they're they're really good
969. 2:45:55at this conversation kind of thing and then you're going to meet them and you're going to be like who the [ __ ] is
970. 2:46:00this they they won't be able to talk good you're like they don't make eye contact like they were so empathetic and they were so good at
971. 2:46:10life and it's just going to be they're going to be using chat GPT or the equivalent of it as a conversation
972. 2:46:19crutch and then you're going to meet him in person and you're going to get catfished not only by how they look but how they [ __ ]
973. 2:46:25talk it's like God damn it uh I feel your passion I'm way behind uh but you've brought me the inspiration oh

976. 2:46:49can promise you that they don't they they don't and it's you know there will be a Tipping Point but this I talked about this last night
977. 2:47:01where every new kind of movement of Technology whether it's the worldwide web or the personal computer or the
978. 2:47:08steam engine or whatever it starts out very small and then if it's one of those Technologies that truly changes things
979. 2:47:16it gets bigger and bigger and bigger right it gets this adoption curve where more and more of society is using more and more of that
980. 2:47:25technology as much as people are talking about Ai and as hyped as it seems right now it is like whisper thin in terms of
981. 2:47:36its adoption in terms of its capability in terms of any of it and so you know if I started down down here and you're
982. 2:47:45starting here we're we're still in like the the the center of the tree that over the next 5 years is going to do this
983. 2:47:56right so anywhere in here is fine and like I would argue that we're probably you know probably lower to center of
984. 2:48:04this part of the the phase of of where this is and then it will do that so the opportunity right now the beginning is
