70. 15:41billions go start a company and and do like a foundation model but if you're someone who's going to do what these guys did right here
71. 15:53where they took did or hey Jen I I guarantee you that's did or hey Jen it's probably hey Jen they're doing two API calls to hey
72. 16:05Jen they're they're doing a call to open AI to generate the script they then send they they then randomly choose one of
73. 16:13their 12 characters that they've got pre baked they send it to H Jen they Stitch it they they get the videos back from H
74. 16:21Jen they stitch them together using FFM Peg or some stupid [ __ ] like that and then they dump it dump it to a file if
75. 16:30you're doing [ __ ] like that I don't think it makes sense to start a business right now because this business the
76. 16:40minute gemini or chat GPT or any [ __ ] of them St stability AI the minute any of them go full multimodal you'll just
77. 16:53be able to do that natively within chat GPT so until we see what's the next what's coming from open AI like
78. 17:05like it's been a while since we've heard anything significant from them so I think we're going to hear something big
79. 17:11I think that the the thing that you could start in the next two years fairly safely is a service business around AI
80. 17:20strategy and AI operations AI execution so if you're really good with ideas and and solving problems take it
81. 17:29at a higher level if you're really good with security and UPC and and and you know AI operations then start a start a you know
82. 17:40affirm to do that and I think those I think companies for the next five years are just going to be desperate to figure this stuff
83. 17:53out but I don't I don't know that I'd start a technology company right now I just it's like I just feel like you're waiting for
84. 18:05the shoe to fall that the company that you built that's revolutionary today is going to become a feature inside of the new chat
85. 18:13GPT that's included for 20 bucks a month like I don't know how you compete with that if you've got really interesting proprietary data
86. 18:29maybe there's something there where you're not really relying on the latest super high-tech technology but
87. 18:37but you're doing something with specific data that could be interesting you know you're doing something with branded
88. 18:43media content or you're doing something with medical data legal data government data or maybe not government data
89. 18:54government data that's not publicly accessible I don't know that's a good question it's a really good
90. 19:04question it's it's so good a question I don't have an answer for it I answered it but you'll notice like a good
91. 19:12politician I didn't actually like I don't [ __ ] know I don't know no I'm looking at a service-based AI business I think right now is the
92. 19:21time to do it drew I think yeah listen you're curious you show up you're consistent um if if you've got the
93. 19:29ambition to do a service business I think it's absolutely the time to do that and the thing that I would do Drew is I
94. 19:38would you can help people get their AI [ __ ] together but your business should be fully committed to AI like how you do
95. 19:49everything you should turn things around faster you should do analysis faster you should be able to do it cheaper than
96. 19:56someone else doing something similar like really lean into it um how did you get the link to the rabbit R1

130. 26:54about the salon. a go to the that URL and click on the first link to the community and introduce yourself and
131. 27:04you'll notice that there's a whole Community section there's a show and tell area where people are showing off
132. 27:09their work and then there's guilds there's a creative Guild a technology Guild a business Guild and a social
133. 27:15impact Guild and there's all sorts of different spaces and subcommunities in each of those guilds and just go start introduce
134. 27:25yourself and start connecting with people right now Andrea one of the most important things um for getting started is to to be
135. 27:37around people who are doing this because everyone's trying to figure it out right now well not everyone everyone who is in
136. 27:45AI right now is trying to figure it out or we teach ai.com that might be good too that might cost you money but I don't know
137. 27:59someone just posted that but you should be in community and and the other thing to do with this AI stuff is start with
138. 28:07chat GPT speaking of higher education my my school is cautiously embracing AI for students and faculty really that's
139. 28:17exciting cam thank you thank you whatever University you work for or work or are near or goto I don't know your relationship with
140. 28:27them but that's cool good I am relatively apoplectic about our
141. 28:41education um institutions not jumping all over this AI stuff but that's where we are that's where we
142. 28:57are oh yeah I've got a series below if you want to start with the series that'll teach you some things it's it's it
143. 29:09doesn't go deep into anything but if if you want to understand like why this AI is a big deal how these tools actually
144. 29:15work how to use them and not get overwhelmed by them that's that's what's in the uh in the series called underhyped
145. 29:25um but just start just start and in fact let me show you something do looks like someone introduced themselves
146. 29:31great first thing you're going to do check out the you know what we're about then go to introduce yourself and
147. 29:37introduce yourself use your real name by the way use your real name um who whoever BS is it's a funny name uh but it one of
148. 29:49the things that that we encourage and are requesting is people use their real name so you can actually get to know
149. 29:55people um and then below below introduce yourself there's a section called AI Launchpad and tools and this list where
150. 30:03do I start quick start and Tool recommendations this is a page that I curate and so these first three
151. 30:12instructions play solve and share are my recipe for how you get AI literate and the first one is literally play just go
152. 30:22play with as many tools as you can don't act like you have to learn it like you have to learn a programming language you
153. 30:28don't have to be nearly as technical as you think you do with these tools go to sunno Ai and write a song you're like but I'm not very
154. 30:38musical no you just tell it to write a song and it will write a song go to chat jpt and have it write you a a recipe for
155. 30:48I don't know a tofu based lasagna and it will do that just go play play play play play play play play then the solve is as
156. 30:58you start to understand what the tools are and what they can do by playing then you can start to solve problems and and
157. 31:05solve them for other people a friend who's starting a business or something at work or something for your community
158. 31:13group and maybe they need to come up with a marketing plan hey would you mind if I do that for you for free using AI
159. 31:19I'm I'm trying to learn how to use it yeah whatever and then you know 2 hours later you give them a complete marketing
160. 31:24plan that they thought they were going to have to spend $10,000 for how'd you do that oh I just used AI right and then
161. 31:33the third one is share talk about it talk about it on LinkedIn talk about it with your family talk about it with your
162. 31:39friends oh M you're going everybody hates it when I talk about AI [ __ ] them talk about it anyway put yourself out
163. 31:48there as someone who's learning about this stuff because if you're actively learning about AI for the next year you are an expert
164. 31:58period end of story it's that simple if you're curious and engaged and learning about this stuff you know as much as most people on
165. 32:08more more than most people on the planet and as much as a lot of the people that call themselves experts and then the below that is just
166. 32:21a big giant ass list of tools to go play with all of the tools that I have on this list are tools that won't waste your time
167. 32:29the very first tool on the list is chat GPT if you are not chat GPT literate and I know it's [ __ ] ridiculous every
168. 32:38everyone talks about chat gbt what do about chat gbt chat gbt chat gbt you can make money with it's just better it's just better
169. 32:49than the other stuff right now now that's changing quickly there are now four things that are in the neighborhood of
170. 33:00chat GPT there's Claude 3 Opus there's Gemini 1.5 Pro both of both of those have a little bit of limited
171. 33:08access cuz you know the one's behind a pay wall and the Gemini one is behind a you have to be you have to apply for it
172. 33:17basically and then there's PI from inflection and those three are competing with chbt but just start with cha chbt
173. 33:25pay the 20 bucks a month if you can at all afford it the 20 bucks a month for chat GPT plus gives you internet access
174. 33:34it gives you this thing called code interpreter which is Advanced Data analysis which sounds really geeky and
175. 33:39awful but it's actually quite remarkable once you understand what it can do it's got GPT Vision you can upload images
176. 33:49like take a picture of a whiteboard and it'll parse it it'll it'll understand it it can generate images and then you can
177. 33:59create and share custom gpts which are fullon customized versions of chat GPT that you can share with the world that you
178. 34:08publish um you can't really make money with them right now but that should be coming but anyway that's where to start all
179. 34:18right and then just keep coming back here just keep coming back just keep coming back just keep coming
180. 34:24back but I haven't learned anything yet tonight it just seems like you're talking to the camera that's how it goes sometimes this is Chad
181. 34:32add sometimes you come in here and it's like one bomb after another like boom boom boom boom you're like oh yeah bring

183. 34:51for AI use for the coming year that's awesome cam um cam go check out um if you haven't seen it yet go look for the
184. 35:00city of Boston's um generative AI policy I think it's called let me see if I can find [Music] it city of
185. 35:16Boston Boston AI guidelines yeah city of Boston AI guidelines it'll take you to boston.gov
186. 35:32interim guidelines for using generative AI they did this on May 18th how do you make your own GPT all
187. 35:41right we'll go we'll go make one I will show you how um this is just a really good document cam um that just talks
188. 35:53about what they are that they hallucinate how they work and it it was this is Boston was the first city that I
189. 36:00know of that put out an official you know for the city of Boston here's our position on chat GPT I think it's a
190. 36:09really good um starting point so if if you're if you're being asked to put together guidelines it's a
191. 36:17it's pop it into chat GPT and say change this for my University and update it with all the latest thinking um you
192. 36:25could probably get to a pretty good first dra all right let's go let's go look at that city of Boston
193. 36:40guidelines it's very very cool all right we are going to go to chat Jay we're going to teach people how to make a JPay GPT no chat. open
194. 36:59okay so if you don't know what a GPT is in order to use one you have to be part of you have to have a chat GPT Plus
195. 37:14subscription you will hear people talk about gp4 chat gp4 and occasionally someone will talk about chat GPT
196. 37:25plus they're all the same well they're not all the same thing but they're kind of synonymous you can't get
197. 37:31to gp4 without a subscription basically um so how you get to that is you go to your name in the lower leand corner you
198. 37:40go to my plan and then the Plus Account is the one for how you get to chat GPT um 4 okay once you're in there you now have
199. 37:52these things called gpts and and I can click on this one called explore GPT and have they changed anything here not
200. 38:02yet no and then I can search for them so I'll show you my very first one I made I made a a GPT called Sin City
201. 38:11sipper and this is it and I don't think it's got any reviews yet no oh look oh my my tarology deck more by Kyle Shannon
202. 38:21so I also created a a deck called tarology which combines astrology with the Tarot deck and turned it into a a a
203. 38:31reading GPT it's pretty cool tarot divination and astrological wisdom it's pretty fun okay so if I go to Sin City
204. 38:41sipper you'll notice that there's some pre-written what they call conversation starters down here so show me a new
205. 38:48fangled oldfashioned what Sin City sipper is is it takes classic cocktail recipes and gives them a Vegas twist
206. 38:56this was the very first GPT I created it took me about 10 minutes I did it on one of these lives and I just got access to to G to this
207. 39:08feature while I was live and so we just did it live so this the very first one I made and so what it does is I can I can
208. 39:17type in a thing like I'm having a party what's oh we're we're near St Patty's days are we on St Patty's days when is
209. 39:23St Patty's days um I want a super interesting whiskey based St
210. 39:40Patrick's Day cocktail and what Sin City sipper will do is give me a unique custom uh recipe what it's actually
211. 39:55doing right now is it's creating the image of it first um I told it not to do that what does the a in AI mean artificial and the I means
212. 40:19intelligence I don't really know what to say about that it's just basically these machines have been modeled after the way our
213. 40:28brains work and they're trying to make it happen it's it it it would be more accurately called machine learning um
214. 40:34all the stuff that we're playing with but all right so what did it give us your St Patrick's Day celebration with the Emerald Isle whiskey
215. 40:44twist Irish whiskey chartreuse interesting lime juice simple syrup Bitters and a mint sprig that doesn't
216. 40:54quite look look like what it would look like with those ingredients but that's okay um but anyway so that's what this
217. 41:02thing does it's just a it's just a single purpose you know thing and the the way I've got it set up if you ask it
218. 41:09to do things other than this it should tell you it can't do that um but but for example somebody sent me after the Super Bowl they sent me a
219. 41:25um oh okay I I I couldn't figure out why you were asking it Pate I I should have known you were just being a smart ass
220. 41:38but thank you for being a smart ass I'm like why is p asking that there must be some maybe some paper came out
221. 41:47today that they're they're changing the the a to mean something else now or it was a joke so I'm glad it was a joke
222. 41:57um somebody used Sin City sipper they took a picture of their booze cabinet of of like the bottles in their booze
223. 42:05cabinet and they said make 50 drink recipes Super Bowl themed drink recipes for my guests for a Super Bowl party
224. 42:15using the booze that's in my booze cabinet and it did it and it gave them like a a table of of drink names that
225. 42:23they turned into um a menu and then people at the Super Bowl party could come up and ask for a drink and then the
226. 42:29bartender had all the recipes for all 50 drinks that were just of the booze that was was available really amazing right
227. 42:37so so anything that you're interested in can become a GPT um oh I got one okay so we're going to go make one now so how you find them
228. 42:48is you go to explore gpts and you can just scroll through a big list of them you can search for them you can search on topic it's not it's
229. 42:57not a great directory right now but if you want to make a new one you go in the upper right hand corner you say
230. 43:05create and then it takes you to this page with a lot of fingerprints on the screen see these are these are all where I
231. 43:14touch I'm a very tactile teacher apparently um on the right hand side of the screen you have this preview this is
232. 43:22where when you create your GPT you're going to be able to test it on the left hand side of the screen is where you
233. 43:28configure it or where you create it and so there's there's two tabs create and configure we're going to start with
234. 43:34create because configure while it's very very simple and it doesn't actually require any coding it's a little more
235. 43:42complicated like you can upload a picture you have to come up with a name a description instructions which is
236. 43:48actually your prompt right there's not a lot of uh instructions on what to do with the instructions uh you can search
237. 43:55for AI salon and see a bunch of gpts by folks in this group too oh cool yeah search for hash AIS Salon I I need to go
238. 44:04hashtag all my my gpts up that's a great idea Corey um so just don't worry about configure right now we'll come back to
239. 44:11that but we're going to go to create and what we're going to do is we're going to say I want to create a GPT for the
240. 44:29um Dune movies that will let someone learn about them geek
241. 44:45out and even play trivia games and so it says updating GPT so it's building it so if you notice on the
242. 44:59right here it just still says preview but here in a few seconds it
243. 45:14won't a guide to trivia a guide and trivia partner for the Dune movies um tell me about the Dune universe so if I click on that it it re
244. 45:26pre-wrote some little conversation starter questions created in 1965 by Frank Herbert was the book at the core the
245. 45:36Dune Saga right so it's telling us little things there and then we say how about calling it Dune Explorer and I'm going to say okay
246. 45:46fine and then it should yeah updating GPT now it says generating a profile picture so it's going to create a a picture for our our GPT
247. 46:01here all right that's lovely but I don't like that how about a sandworm generating profile
248. 46:25picture I love that you're all just chatting with each other down in here it's pretty cool all right there's our sandworm
249. 46:34doesn't at all look like a sand worm and dune um it needs to look more menacing

255. 47:45it's got these little starter questions I can now go over to the configure Tab and you'll notice that all of this stuff

358. 1:09:51are taking the output of chat GPT 4 and using them right so so Devon is a much more sophisticated GPT rapper
359. 1:10:01app and by the if you don't know what a GPT rapper is by the way it basically is you create a website that looks like it
360. 1:10:08does something remarkable just like a GPT you know I could I could I could make a uh I could create a startup for
361. 1:10:16doing um customized cocktail mixing application for bartending point of sale systems right and I could put it out
362. 1:10:26there and you know I wouldn't call it Sin City sipper but I'd call it like you know bartenders uh you know
363. 1:10:36uh Guru or whatever and I could probably if I tried really hard because that's not a great idea but I could potentially
364. 1:10:45go raise money on that right and try to get it sell it into the bar bar industry and hook it into point of sale systems
365. 1:10:53and things like that um but in the end it's just making calls to chat GPT so I don't know I don't know I don't I do not have a
366. 1:11:12good I don't have good advice like if you if you want to put together a rapper app and try to go raise money on it
367. 1:11:19great but what I would say is just here here's here's here's where I think we're going if you go look at the the videos
368. 1:11:36of Devon and if if you haven't seen those I can I can go show show what Devon is Devon is an autonomous
369. 1:11:45agent and so what Devon does is you give it a goal like right now the way these large language models
370. 1:11:53work is you give them a prompt and they give you back an answer and then you give them another prompt and they give
371. 1:11:59you back an answer and it's on you the human to figure out if it's right or not right and it's and to figure out what's
372. 1:12:06good and to figure out how to prompt it where we're going and I think whatever open AI is going to release
373. 1:12:13next is going to be markedly different than the current chat GPT I mean I think it's going to be markedly different I
374. 1:12:21think it's going to have reasoning and I think it's going to have autonomous agents and autonomous agents you give them a
375. 1:12:28goal and they just go start doing [ __ ] and because they've got reasoning they'll go is the [ __ ] that I did good
376. 1:12:36or not does it have mistakes in it or not and and they're going to go off and and what's going to happen is what the experience is going to
377. 1:12:48effectively be is that we'll be interacting with custom written software that was written for us in the moment based on our
378. 1:12:59goal and so I don't know how I I don't know how as a software developer you compete with that and and are are those autonomous
379. 1:13:16agents going to be good in 2024 or are they going to be good in 2027 cuz if it's 2027 then you've got three or four years to maybe get a
380. 1:13:30rapper app funded and go put it out in the world and then use that money and what you learn to create something that's
381. 1:13:40useful but if those autonomous agents get good in 2024 or early 2025 I feel like you're going to spend a
382. 1:13:49lot of time building software that's just going to be no one's going to give a [ __ ] about it so I don't know I don't know man

429. 1:23:09question and then they'll give us all the answers and it's not really a back and forth kind of thing chat jpt on the
430. 1:23:16other hand gets better the more context you give it so if you give it the role of being a biology tutor and tell it you
431. 1:23:23want it to be interactive and if it's not acting interactive enough tell it how to do that you just talk to it like
432. 1:23:29here's a good way to think about it imagine that you've got a tutor for your daughter that has memorized all of the
433. 1:23:37knowledge of the world but is really kind of a simpleton and you've got to explain everything that's kind of what
434. 1:23:45it is like working with it so just talk to it like you've got an intern or a tutor that you've got to give a little
435. 1:23:51lot of guidance to and it it has a remark able amount of knowledge that you can you can draw from uh within it so hope that [Music]

455. 1:27:20MIT and gotten a PhD it's not the case it this is just using words like just ask it for what you want and it will do
456. 1:27:30it um now it sometimes hallucinates and does things bad and sometimes like you think it's going to do what you
457. 1:27:39want it to do and then you just can't get it to do that so it can get really frustrating that way but there's there
458. 1:27:45there isn't a lot of technical requirements for you to use chat GPT so just jump in just jump in and say hey
459. 1:27:53let's let's EXP experiment let's see what we can do any more daily Jank I I have not see the the okay the bad news about calling

463. 1:28:41the answer to it largely lies in how quickly we get to AGI so AGI stands for artificial general intelligence and there there are a
464. 1:28:53number of different definitions for it and Google even has different levels of AGI but it it is generally understood is
465. 1:29:02that we we have achieved AGI when the when these systems are are as good or better at most
466. 1:29:18jobs than most people um people like David Shapiro think that we're going to hit AGI at that definition this
467. 1:29:30year um Elon Musk just said we'll essentially hit um AGI by 2025 as SII artificial super
468. 1:29:48intelligence is defined as um the AIS get basically more capable than you know all of all of humans combined and um Elon Musk and Ray CTSV
469. 1:30:04um consider 2029 the date when that will happen um so I don't I don't think it's really a matter of if these machines are going
470. 1:30:17to be capable of of doing most of the jobs that we do but when and we're we're in a weird place where it's possible that these these
471. 1:30:27tools can can do our jobs better than we can way before we're prepare prepared for it
472. 1:30:41um I don't know what that means though the the the Sensational headlines are you
473. 1:30:57know they're going to take our jobs and they're going to ruin everything um I think that these tools are also
474. 1:31:06going to create a lot of new jobs new kinds of jobs um that we can't imagine right now but we can't imagine it right
475. 1:31:14now so we don't know what they are I think that probably starting two to three years out and probably going for about five years is going to
476. 1:31:30be a massively disruptive period where companies get disrupted individuals get disrupted
477. 1:31:44um people that are AI literate are going to Faire okay as as organizations try to figure out how to use these tools they're going
478. 1:31:55to get desperate they're going to reach out who knows anything about AI who knows anything about AI so like part of
479. 1:32:00this channel is get [ __ ] AI literate now I don't care if you have a moral objection to it or an ethical or
480. 1:32:14all like yes all of that [ __ ] needs to be dealt with and these tools are coming right so the only hedge that I can
481. 1:32:28see against you know toward having some stability in the workforce is be AI literate so if you're a project
482. 1:32:37manager and you're great at project management when these tools get great at project management if you don't know
483. 1:32:46anything about AI then I think you're absolutely at risk if you're great at project management and you learn
484. 1:32:52everything you can about Ai and how to do project management with AI as it is today and you're like okay I've figured
485. 1:32:59out some automations here and I've I've done some things I've made this more efficient I'm getting better at this I'm
486. 1:33:04I really understand the tools and then all of a sudden a tool comes along that's awesome at project management all
487. 1:33:11that [ __ ] that you built is going to be irrelevant because the tool will just do it now but you won't be irrelevant
488. 1:33:19because you will have established a reputation for being competent around this stuff so they'll say hey why don't
489. 1:33:26you go run this new crazy good tool and then the other people that are good project managers that were resisting it
490. 1:33:34probably won't survive that shakeup right so yeah so A lot's going to change um I'm learning to save my job cuz not one
491. 1:33:48person in my department is remotely interested yeah and a human being you're you are going to the point at which it becomes obvious
492. 1:34:00to Senior Management at your company that they've got to deal with this they will deal with it you know
493. 1:34:08companies when they decide to move they can dump a lot of resources toward whatever they need to do so a lot of
494. 1:34:16companies right now are just ignoring it they're whistling past the graveyard so after asiar learns all

500. 1:35:17we're doing more this and we're doing more that well what if AI helps us solve f fusion and just bang all of a sudden
501. 1:35:28over a 2-year period everyone's got a you know car battery sized thing that powers their house infinitely right what if you know
502. 1:35:45genetic diseases and things like paralysis and you know due to injury and brain injury and things like that what if those are just
503. 1:35:57solved you know that that's the kind of thing that that this kind of capability makes possible organic intelligence please
504. 1:36:11elaborate well where where so right now to train these tools you're we're only training them on the collective output of humanity right
505. 1:36:26so open AI went and they they got as much of the public internet as they could and they tagged it in this special
506. 1:36:34way so that it could be ingested into this into the way these these large language models think work um and so they're using all of our data
507. 1:36:48well there's a point at which we run out of that data and so then you create what's called synthetic data where the AI will
508. 1:36:57generate you know the data that it needs to learn and keep learning um and there's all sorts of philosophies on
509. 1:37:05that whether it's going to be good or bad or creates a thing called Model collapse where the synthetic data just
510. 1:37:11becomes garbage and then it just collapses and it becomes awful um but if these things get to the point that that
511. 1:37:18they have reasoning and they stop being shitty you know at hallucinating and things like that it's possible that
512. 1:37:25these things just keep learning and getting smarter and smarter and smarter without our input and that's the ju you
513. 1:37:31know just they just keep inventing and creating and doing things and that's that's where some of the Sci-Fi darkness
514. 1:37:41comes from because if you don't have them Al lot that's tough it's tougher when you're stupid um if you don't have
515. 1:37:49their um policies aligned with human policies um that's where it gets scary where they're just like well we want to
516. 1:37:58keep learning and we could actually be much better and stronger if we didn't have these pesky humans slowing us
517. 1:38:04down that's that's what we want to avoid and that's what they call the alignment problem are these machines aligned with our
518. 1:38:13imperatives and if not then it can get ugly but if we get it right you know it's going to be good just had a
519. 1:38:24record long Fusion ignition in the UK 5.2 seconds 69 megga output amazing ion China and and just just like it it it felt like
520. 1:38:39science fiction we've been hearing about AI chatbots for the past decade right and the chatbots have just been dramatically
521. 1:38:52disappointing right they're just bad cuz CU they're programmed with logic if they say this then they then they're
522. 1:39:01deterministic you know if a person says this then answer this if they if they say this then answer that and there's no
523. 1:39:08way that you could program in enough logic trees for it to be any good and it it still felt two years ago like science
524. 1:39:18fiction that we could actually just talk to these things and they could talk back to us right the Turing test and things
525. 1:39:25like that and then all of a sudden November 30th 2022 chat GPT comes out and 100 million people in 6 weeks start using this tool with no
526. 1:39:36marketing 100 million people why cuz they talked to the thing and it was just like science fiction this is going to start happening
527. 1:39:46with science as well where well you can't do cold fusion you can't do cold fusion I like I remember hearing about cold fusion in
528. 1:39:54the 70s or in the 80s and like oh that's a pipe dream that's you know it's theoretically possible but we'll never
529. 1:40:01get there and and then you know we had all the hoaxes where we almost got there and then right and then we had this
530. 1:40:08thing with these um these uh South Korean scientists supposedly got to room temperature superconductors which does
531. 1:40:18things for energy transmission and Battery techn all sorts of crazy [ __ ] comes out that and that was kind of a
532. 1:40:24hoax so it still feels like science fiction that we're going to be able to create some infinite power source and
533. 1:40:33that we're going to be able to create you know incredibly efficient superconductors that make our computers like you know exponentially more
534. 1:40:41powerful and the batteries in our cars just like you charge them once and drive them for 5 years before you have to
535. 1:40:48charge them again like [ __ ] like that is just going to start materializing because these Technologies are
536. 1:40:55accelerating everything and then those accelerations build upon one another so exciting times it's so exciting he seems excited
537. 1:41:08about it but everything he's saying is [ __ ] terrifying it is it's weird I have my my my new favorite
538. 1:41:20saying that I keep putting um trademarks on the end of just as as a joke more than anything is 2023 the last normal
539. 1:41:29year if indeed we get to AGI in 2024 if indeed the next version of chat GPT is more like a system that's got
540. 1:41:42reasoning and autonomous actions where it can take actions on our behalf we're we're we've entered a different
541. 1:41:58state if it's not like like right now chat GPT is good enough that it can it can improve the efficiency of current humans
542. 1:42:11jobs by anywhere from like 20 to 50 to maybe 60% like I can be 60% better at the things I do with the current technology
543. 1:42:24it still requires a lot of my input it still requires me to learn [ __ ] it still requires me to learn prompt engineering
544. 1:42:31it still requires me to it's just like it's just like more I got to learn more [ __ ] to be more efficient so I can do
545. 1:42:39more [ __ ] for the people that expect the [ __ ] to be done right well what if these things just get better than me at all the [ __ ] I
546. 1:42:50do or even if they get better at me that of 70% of the stuff I do well then what do I do I don't know I don't know I don't

549. 1:43:29night is that what I know is that we do not get to be at the beginning ever again we right now still live in a
550. 1:43:45world where these tools are janky enough that we can make fun of them and Engineers can mock them and creative directors can poo poo them
551. 1:44:00because they're not as good at creative direction as they are and Consultants can say yeah but they're not they don't have my kind of
552. 1:44:08wisdom right we're lucky enough to to live in a time where that's the reality that we can dismiss these

555. 1:44:43humans had to do most of the work to this time after where humans can choose to do some of the work work that's that's a radically different

557. 1:45:10opinion you can do more than that but I don't I think that's the only requirement because everything's changing so

601. 1:53:39social net for people who are unemployed by no fault of their own absolutely and that's the thing wondering Sage that's
602. 1:53:45where where I think the the the centers of power get really [ __ ] up hang on um the
603. 1:54:03the the uh the hedge fund guys are initially going to be really excited when these tools get capable enough to replacing humans the hedge
604. 1:54:14fund guys are going to go great cut all the humans awesome let's let's put more profit in the pockets of everyone
605. 1:54:25that's going to overwhelm a system that's not prepared for you know just sort of a dramatic dump of unemployment

607. 1:54:41something like Ubi shortterm but one of the things that that Sam Alman is building in parallel with chat GPT with open AI is his whole thing
608. 1:54:57called worldcoin um and the structure of open AI is when they created it as a Capp for-profit company what it basically says
609. 1:55:10is investors can make up to 100x of their investment and then any money any um money that is made above that goes
610. 1:55:24back to the nonprofit to be distributed out to the people who are being impacted by the technology so he's he's
611. 1:55:33already thinking about this like structurally the way this is whether you agree with it or not he's at least
612. 1:55:41thinking about it he's got this thing called worldcoin which is the currency he's got this thing called World ID
613. 1:55:47which is you know you're you're an a verified human being um and he's got a a transaction like a PayPal like system where you can
614. 1:55:58actually spend that money so if if indeed these tools get so good that they can displace lots of people
615. 1:56:07what he's saying is take the upside of that and funnel that back into the system now that's one company right not every company's going
616. 1:56:17to do this so this is where government's going to have to step in and this is again where the centers of Power are

710. 2:12:34for good and is being used for good and so we right now get the opportunity to use these tools and shape the direction of
711. 2:12:46how they're going to be used it's not just you know a group of scientists in a small town in the middle of New
712. 2:12:53Mexico it's hundreds of millions of people using these tools we are we're right now we're in a really weird time where we're getting to
713. 2:13:04play with the same tools at the same time that the government and the military gets to play with these the
714. 2:13:12military didn't have Early Access to chat gbt they had a all sorts of AI but the generative AI stuff the stuff we're
715. 2:13:23playing with we're playing with it at the same level of of use and power that big corporations and the military have
716. 2:13:35access to I don't know that that's ever happened in history it's remarkable so why would you not at least learn what that
717. 2:13:50is and that's what I think that's what I think we need to evangelize that's or that's what I'm evangelizing I don't
