22. 3:31called storyvine it's an 11 and a halfy old company that does automated video storytelling and this channel is

27. 4:17malware in them so so I downloaded them cuz I'm an idiot but listen mathas is has been in here enough that you know if he's going
28. 4:28to scam me he's at least earned the right to do it grayhair gamer I'm back been away for a bit need to catch up you
29. 4:33do need to catch up there is so much going on holy crap I submitted my manuscript for uh Kindle publishing
30. 4:40today in order to proof awesome lunar stick that's really cool did you do a kids book or a book book or a graphic
31. 4:46novel what did you do that's super awesome super awesome um all right so so I'm trying to think where I want to
32. 4:54start I think I'll do a quick um did it I'll I'll do a quick sort of primer if you're brand new to this AI stuff um no

37. 5:49of clients that modular content is important to them getting more efficient with how we create content and how we leverage content
38. 6:03uh behind me you see these little green boxes um that's how we think about stories at Story vine we break stories

44. 7:16you go to labs. Heen he yen.com uh you can translate your ownself into I I don't know like a dozen languages um anyway yeah they're they're
45. 7:28brand new to the game and they're figuring it out but um but pretty remarkable Tech um okay so so mathas told me uh the reason he's got a
46. 7:37free Russian image hosting site is because he lived there for 13 years and they gave it to him for Life what what
47. 7:43did you have to give up for for free software for life in Russia buddy do we want to know that's awesome I don't understand
48. 7:54how you say AI is going to hurt storyvine um I can talk about that I can talk about that that um yeah so there there's there's pieces
49. 8:05of Story vine hang on let me get rid of the insane dude um so let me see if I've got anything I can show here well that that that
50. 8:17Chinese video this [Music] one so that's a that's a Story vine video that um the way our software works it
51. 8:31um someone answers a series of questions in a in in the story Vine app and then it goes up to the cloud and it
52. 8:42automatically edits the little segments they recorded into that finished video with all the graphics and the background music and the lower
53. 8:49thirds and so so there's a couple of things part of our part of our value proposition let me flip
54. 9:04these part of our value proposition is automated editing right so you answer some questions in an app it goes up to
55. 9:11the cloud few minutes later you got a fully edited video for the last decade people have been like oh that's pretty
56. 9:18impressive that's really amazing how do you do that it's kind of like magic and with all this AI stuff where
57. 9:26everything's going to be automated it's going to be like yeah every things automated why is that a big deal so
58. 9:31there's a big part of our value proposition part of our story today the value of that drops to zero right or to table Stakes right it's not
59. 9:42differentiating anymore that said one of the things that Story vine does is it allows real human beings to share
60. 9:51stories authentically and present them professionally without having to do any editing the authenticity piece the real
61. 9:58people piece real people authentically sharing stories I think the value of that goes up with Story vine
62. 10:06so you know we're moving into a world with infinite content generation and even though you're going to have um
63. 10:12avatars and things that seem like real people there's going to be something about real people that's just going to
64. 10:17hit different so I think I think that means that you know so if if if the value of those things is sort of level
65. 10:25today you know automation goes to zero and authentic goes up hopefully and hopefully that balances it out so that's
66. 10:32that's you know what's going on um someone just said bro don't read the comments why is there good comments in
67. 10:38there people trolling the [ __ ] out of me is it my nose hair or my eyebrows oh Tobias hot tub clear sky AI

70. 11:07see some comments here uh what do I think will be the main use of chat gbt in the future how will it impact the
71. 11:12world boy Crypt tractor tracker that's a big one um I think the chat GPT that just showed up in the past two weeks the multimodal
72. 11:28chat GP BT paints a picture of a future where everyone can essentially do everything and basically you just ask
73. 11:39for what you want and it's generated for you essentially in real time um and like everything music video websites answers code apps things
74. 11:57like that um I have no idea where where it goes I know that the next two to three years are going to be very very disruptive
75. 12:08it's going to be very disruptive cuz what's going to happen is entire Industries are built on having
76. 12:16to manually produce stuff or manually do stuff or someone to clean data or someone to right all the stuff all the
77. 12:25stuff that is the Tactical execution of today's world is going to be automated out so then what do those people do I don't
78. 12:38know do you upskill them to do something else does does the fact that you had to pay all those people to do that stuff was that a
79. 12:49part of your business that was burdening it and now it can be profitable maybe I don't know um the only thing the only the only thing I'm
80. 13:00confident on is that the reason this channel exists and the reason people hang out in here every night is that
81. 13:07getting curious and adventurous about AI right now is going to be a really really really really really important investment of your
82. 13:18time whether you do it with me or whether you do it with Rachel Woods or whether you do it with on your own or
83. 13:24you go take some flimsy Fly by Night course being AI literate in the next 18 months is going to be huge and the other side of that
84. 13:42coin is that if you're not AI literate if you're sitting there like this with it now it hallucinates and it it's
85. 13:49stealing from other people and I don't like it the robots are going to kill us I just don't like it I'm a I'm a conscientious objector from
86. 13:57AI those people are going to get [ __ ] smacked upside the head so so this channel exists to say don't be one of
87. 14:05them that's it just be curious about it you don't have to love it it's it's it's wild and it's and it's
88. 14:12very existential in a lot of ways you know you've got a thing that if you pride yourself in writing good words it writes good words way
89. 14:20faster if you pride yourself in making pictures fast oh it's faster you good at coding yeah good at coding you're good at writing code
90. 14:31documentation and technical writing it's good at that it's just you know and even though it's it's really sort of crappy
91. 14:39and janky right now it's going to get better and better and better and better and better and better and better so by
92. 14:46the time we're out you know 3 years from now I don't think most computer mediated jobs look like they look today if I were
93. 14:55a freshman in college right now holy [ __ ] [ __ ] what do you learn the only thing that I think people
94. 15:04in college right now should be learning they I mean they should be learning some skills they should be learning Ai and
95. 15:10they should be learning critical thinking skills so anyway all right let's not start out so philosophical boy it got
96. 15:19really dark in here really quick didn't it he was he was he was talking about the future and it seems so dark and
97. 15:25Bleak nah it's not that Bleak it's not that Bleak I think it's actually really exciting because one more little rabbit
98. 15:36hole let's say I'm really good at writing and I look at catp C chat gbt and I'm like oh [ __ ] he can do writing what do I
99. 15:48do but let's say I'm also really crappy at drawing well my writing job just got democratized but so did the art
100. 16:00Generation stuff that I'm not good at so now I'm going to be good at writing and I'm going to be maybe 60% or 70% as good
101. 16:06as the art guy at the art stuff and so I'm going to go from having one skill where maybe I'm at 100% of my
102. 16:13capability to having 10 skills where I'm at an average of like 70% of those 10 skills and maybe 100 100% of some
103. 16:23tangential skills and 120% at writing because I if if you're good at writing you're going to get better at writing
104. 16:31that's a pretty wild world where people can fundamentally reinvent themselves in a month completely different life
105. 16:42trajectory so every it's it's really easy to talk about oh it's going to take the jobs away you know how many jobs
106. 16:48it's going to invent you know how many companies are going to be born out of this holy [ __ ] all right let's go I
107. 16:55promis mathas I would try to do this thing I listen dude you you gave me these images are are um how do we say so that's one

115. 18:15J all right so here we are at chat GPT by the way if um if you pay your 20 bucks to get chat GPT plus I'm not affiliated
116. 18:25with these guys in any way I just wrote a LinkedIn post today I think that the $20 for chat GPT plus is the deal of
117. 18:33deal of the century right now it's the the amount of the amount of functionality that they threw into this
118. 18:39tool in the past two weeks is staggering like it was pretty staggering before but I was like yeah but you know you got Po
119. 18:45and you got Claude and you got these other things now it's this this is like if if you can at all afford it I would I
120. 18:53would spend the 20 bucks because look look at all this crap you get you get regular gp4 you get browse with Bing
121. 19:00that's back and it's good by the way regular gp4 now has Vision that's what we're going to play with here with uh
122. 19:06matias's things you get Advanced Data analysis which is just full-on [ __ ] technical magic you get plugins which
123. 19:16you can take or leave they're kind of crappy right now but the plugins right now remind me of the early iOS apps
124. 19:22remember you you you probably don't but when the when the iPhone first launched they were like oh it's got these things
125. 19:28called apps and then and then the criticism was they weren't [ __ ] apps they were like links to websites they
126. 19:36were just crappy websites and everyone was like oh these are stupid well now it's become the App Store so I think
127. 19:41that's where these things go right now they're they're kind of the equivalent of early iOS apps there's a thousand of
128. 19:47them and most of them suck but whatever and then there's Dolly 3 which is staggeringly good staggering staggering
129. 19:53staggeringly good why don't wait why don't I have all that that with plus um okay I'll tell you why so you should have Dolly 3
130. 20:04now what you probably haven't done if you pay for chat GPT plus and you don't see all those goodies in your chat gp4
131. 20:12you have to go to your settings hang on see the settings I'm going to go to settings and then in settings go to Beta
132. 20:21features and you actually have to turn them on oh look what they did browse with Bing used to be in here
133. 20:30so so I guess so it looks like they've now so plugins are still beta and Advanced Data analysis is still beta but
134. 20:37you have to turn those on but browse with Bing was in here and now it's not but it is still over here so I guess
135. 20:43that means that's launched and Dolly 3 is launched although I don't know chat GPT open AI said they announced this
136. 20:52morning on Twitter that Dolly 3 is available to all chat GPT plus and Enterprise users okay okay just want to

149. 22:43is AI learninglab dtt on YouTube all right AI learninglab dtt so I put up I put up the recordings of these lives and I'm caught up until
150. 22:55like two days ago or something like that um and they're there and they've got descriptions and they've got chapters
151. 23:03did I rewatch my videos and write all those chapters no I used Claude I took the YouTube transcription I pasted it
152. 23:11into Claude I wrote some Mega [ __ ] prompt to write a YouTube title a description and chapters and and it works about 20% of the
153. 23:21time okay so that's that the other thing I want to show you is the AI Salon all right so the AI Salon is um a community
154. 23:30that I started about a year ago um we have meetings every other Tuesday so this coming Tuesdays our next meeting um
155. 23:37there's a Meetup link there and there's also a Discord server there's a link to a Discord server so go jump in the

167. 25:20garage so now we're gonna go and and so all this tool can do is see the images right so what I'm going to say
168. 25:32is I want you to look carefully at these two vehicles oops I want you to look carefully at these two vehicles and describe them in as much
169. 25:46detail as you can ideally identifying the make model and year of the car as when he as well well as any
170. 26:05details that are pertinent to describe them once you describe them I'm going to give you a mission do
171. 26:23you understand to give you a mission it's like it's like so so this is one of the things that I'm I'm actually starting to realize about um
172. 26:38generative Ai and and especially like this channel like what I do here with with generative AI there's something
173. 26:49entertaining we're moving into a we're moving into someone asked about the future of work we're moving into a mode
174. 26:56of working where working might get fun again because this is kind of work as entertainment like what we're doing here
175. 27:06is we're learning and we're doing technical stuff well not really technical but like you know technically tactically learning stuff
176. 27:16and but it but it's kind of fun and it's kind of entertaining because it happens so fast right all right so the first
177. 27:22vehicle is a convertible it's evident it has a soft top roof the primary color is bright orange but the roof has patches
178. 27:28of different colors possibly a camouflage pattern or wear and tear the vehicle seems to have a compact design
179. 27:35with a boxy shape there are two round headlights side mirrors okay second vehicle the vehicle also has a convertible design with the roof
180. 27:44currently down or missing it is a faded yellow or mustard color with visible rust and wear the front showcases two
181. 27:52round headlights blah blah blah the vehicle's Grill the tires are fitted on black rims there's a visible license plate in the
182. 27:59front that reads L6 t241 interesting um the interior appears to me minimalist unfortunately solely based
183. 28:08on the images I cannot definitely do the making model but they appear to be vintage classic cars possibly from the
184. 28:1570s or 80s given their design cues now what's the mission you mentioned before the mission I'm pretty sure these are
185. 28:24Volkswagen things from the' 70s so good guess there period out of curiosity based on the structure of that license plate do you

219. 34:34modes of chat GPT it's absolutely ridiculous now I understand why they do it right because they're launching incredibly profoundly powerful
220. 34:45technology and they want to release it safely so it like people don't do all sorts of crazy ass [ __ ] with it they
221. 34:51want to make sure the tools are decently solid before they start doing this with them but they need need to do this for
222. 34:57them not to be so janky anyway that said I'm going to give you a description of a car and I'd like you to create

429. 1:12:34like right now like my the reason I'm having a tough time having a clear answer about it is I'm in the middle of completely
430. 1:12:42rethinking what chat GPT is and and and I'm also trying to I'm I'm trying to think about these discrete modes of chat GPT
431. 1:12:54when they will be one right like like right now the fact that they are distinct modes feels very limiting to me

441. 1:14:20YouTube for search cuz it was like I kept getting really frustrated and then C PT came along and I'm like holy [ __ ] it knows
442. 1:14:27everything it can teach me everything and when it goes and when when when its modes start to get Dynamic where you can
443. 1:14:37say you know you learn about something and then it can go retrieve pictures for you or it can make a picture for you or
444. 1:14:44it could retrieve some pictures and then it make fictitious versions of those pictures I mean when it gets truly
445. 1:14:51Dynamic like that it's going to be [ __ ] astounding astounding at AI for PR Summit host said if you aren't investing
446. 1:14:59$20 a month in your future you will L lose there you go the 20 bucks for chat GPT right now is like every one of those tools is
447. 1:15:10worth 20 bucks the vision is worth 20 bucks it connected to Bing that's kind of table Stak so that's not worth 20

456. 1:16:40part of it's in this Rabbit Hole well with chat GPT if it can just dynamically go get you the answers from those three parts
457. 1:16:48and dynamically hand you a website dynamically build you a website that is only the information you want to see
458. 1:16:55without you having to go to the website what is the purpose of a website other than as a source to feed a large
459. 1:17:03language model so I think SEO and and you know this is I'm I'm sort of thinking I don't know three years out
460. 1:17:10maybe two years out depending on how aggressive Google gets with this [ __ ] I think SEO changes like fundamentally how do you get
461. 1:17:23how do you get in the answer set for someone's specific question you better have some pretty [ __ ] relevant content out there if
462. 1:17:33you're not living in the semantic clusterings in the large language models that are appropriate for any
463. 1:17:42given you know that specific answer then you're not going to go in that answer now our our Microsoft probably won't but
464. 1:17:50are Google and Facebook going to exploit the [ __ ] out of you know take their advertising model and inject all that
465. 1:17:57stuff into their large language model answers probably and and the challenge is going to be and here's the this is the
466. 1:18:04challenge for open AI right now can open AI not get polluted by that kind of commercial injection because the the minute large
467. 1:18:17language models go to you can't trust the answer which is exactly where Google is right now Google is effectively
468. 1:18:24useless right like because it's just it's not only not only are there too many paid ads but even the the websites
469. 1:18:34that show up organically are just these SEO injected pieces of [ __ ] webites that you know were gener generated algorithmically
470. 1:18:44probably so that they show up in Google searches right and you go there and they're just full of ads and malware and
471. 1:18:51just all that [ __ ] horeshit right right it's just useless so if if large language models um lose their purity I'll take some amount of
472. 1:19:02advertising I'll take advertising frames but the answers got to be pretty [ __ ] Pure or I'll go to open- Source stuff

559. 1:32:47you through all the scenarios and what the implications are and things like that um and and we're just going to that
560. 1:32:58like we do not have 3 to five years to think about how are we going to deal with it when AI changes everything now listen he might be super
561. 1:33:13overly optimistic right he's written five books on this stuff and he's got an open source cognitive architecture so the guy knows his [ __ ]
562. 1:33:24um so even if he's two years off if we're three years away from AGI which I think we're closer than that just go play with chat GPT what
563. 1:33:35what it's doing right now and just know there [ __ ] Sam Alman has said they have built [ __ ] that they will never release
564. 1:33:43like the stuff that they're playing with inside the hut has got to be if you if if if we're this mind blown on a daily
565. 1:33:52basis a year into this [ __ ] can you imagine being inside the the the walls there and at Google and at
566. 1:34:03meta cuz they've all spun these projects back up that they had mothballed open AI saw of that chat jpt is the thing that

571. 1:34:51all of those features are integrated now it's doing video now it's doing music it it just writes and debugs applications

582. 1:36:45is I mean I think it's very very possible that entire industry Ries are going to be upended before those Industries know what happened to
583. 1:36:57them and and and a weird thing happens then which is power dynamics shift so we could be in a situation
584. 1:37:06where three years from now the centers of Power are in a completely different place that no one no one is prepared for right
585. 1:37:15so those currently in power will will not go down easy they'll they'll go down s in so they're going to take some
586. 1:37:22people with them and those newly Empower won't know what to do with it or how to deal with it and some will [ __ ] that up
587. 1:37:29and just you know get maniacal and then others will just flame out I I don't know I mean I think meta releasing the Llama
588. 1:37:44models I think it kind of changes the dynamic because you know maybe what meta does at you know if if if meta's playing around with
589. 1:37:58models that are multimodal and can reason and can take action like open AI is working on like Google's working
590. 1:38:06on if meta keeps those behind their doors if they're like okay you can go play with the large language models like
591. 1:38:12we we'll we'll give you some of those toys but we're going to keep the really powerful [ __ ] in the walls if if you end
592. 1:38:17up with apple meta Google open AI Microsoft and X let's let's call those five and and then you you maybe have you
593. 1:38:28know inflection you maybe have um um the Claude the uh whatever the [ __ ] the company is behind Claud so so
594. 1:38:38maybe you have seven major companies so if the really powerful models stay within those seven companies then I could see a situation
595. 1:38:48where those seven consolidate into three and the government can control those but I just have a sneaking
596. 1:38:57suspicion that because meta open sourced what they did the development Community right now knows how all this [ __ ] is
597. 1:39:04made as well and they're going to start they're going to start building their own Frontier models that are going to be
598. 1:39:11out in the world and open sourced and and so I don't know that the centers of Power are going to be able to stop it
599. 1:39:18what are what are what what are llama models so so Jesse from Austin so um let me go show you so right now the big four you've got
600. 1:39:35open Ai and then on the bottom being that's Microsoft so Microsoft invests 1010 billion into these guys and so you
601. 1:39:43got those two you got Google which has got more money than you know anyone right and and they invented this [ __ ] so
602. 1:39:50they're Gemini Gemini model they're about to come out with is supposed to be really really good then you've got um
603. 1:39:57Claude and um they just got a $4 billion investment from Amazon so so all of these are like major major players then
604. 1:40:06you've got um inflection which is uh pi. they're setting out to make the world's best personal assistant they raised 1.3
605. 1:40:16billion so they're likely going to be a major player with a Frontier Model and then you've got meta so I've got
606. 1:40:22perplexity here perplexity is not behind meta you've got meta Facebook that when when it became clear that
607. 1:40:32nobody gave a [ __ ] about the metaverse as they had presented it and everyone was going in on AI meta was very far
608. 1:40:40behind so what meta did was they said hey here's this this model called llama which was pretty good and they just
609. 1:40:48released it as a development um model so they open- sourced it for research so you couldn't build a commercial
610. 1:40:57application on it and then about two months ago meta released llama 2 llama thank you very much for the Llama llamas are so tasty llama
611. 1:41:11um um and they released them with a commercial license so they released a 7 billion a 13 billion um and a 70 billion
612. 1:41:21parameter model and then they released this thing called code llama which was trained on programming open source for free with commercial
613. 1:41:33license and they're they're apparently working on a really incredible AI like they they all say they are right no no
614. 1:41:42one's really come close to chat gp4 yet apparently Google Google is their Gemini is supposed to be as good or better I
615. 1:41:49would imagine that meta has a similar kind of thing they're cooking my my suspicion is they released llama to get the developer
616. 1:41:58Community um developing for their technology and that they'll keep some more powerful model behind their wall
617. 1:42:05and charge for that that's my guess but I don't know I'm just totally speculating so so basically it's Facebook's large language models they
618. 1:42:14just gave away like with all the keys to the car like how you run like like the Llama models don't have any safety guard rails on
619. 1:42:23them like you can install the Llama model right now and ask it to do all the nefarious [ __ ] that these other models

636. 1:44:56of these are large language or image models that for a single price you get to play with them so so that's so one
637. 1:45:05thing is just rather than having to do multiple subscriptions you're going to have a single subscription I'm not I'm not a huge fan
638. 1:45:12of the interface I think it's a little play school for me but it's you know that's an advantage that you can you can
639. 1:45:19be because it it is super clear that if I want to do writing stuff gp4 is better if I want to do large documents you know
640. 1:45:27Claude 2 100,000 is better um I don't know why I would use CLA instant 100,000 when I have CLA 2 there maybe it's a
