Description

I hosted an energetic and wide-ranging live session on my TikTok channel AI Learning Lab last Wednesday, October 25th, diving deep into the current state of AI as we close in on the one-year anniversary of ChatGPT. In this broadcast I shared my perspective on AI literacy, creativity and the limitless potential of tools like DALL-E, Midjourney and ChatGPT. Interacting with my amazing community through comments, images and ideas, we covered critical issues like the role of AI in education, concerns around data privacy, and my strong opinions against using AI detectors. I aim to make AI fun, understandable and accessible to all. If you want to continue the conversation and join our community, find me at the AI Learning Lab address: https://www.tiktok.com/@aiLearningLab. #ai #chatgpt #dalle #midjourney 0:09 - Intro & community image sharing 0:53 - Concerns about AI replacing artists 2:26 - Levels of art quality from good enough to excellent 4:46 - Fear and hostility towards AI is based in lack of understanding 8:50 - Getting started with AI: Pick a project first 12:14 - Making money with AI comes from solving problems 18:21 - We're very early in adoption of these tools 20:35 - Share what you're learning about AI 25:01 - Becoming an AI-native business 31:37 - AI tools are improving extremely quickly 38:09 - These tools aren't perfect but can do miraculous things 45:46 - Learn about AI, don't block it with detectors 50:00 - Teach kids AI as early as possible 51:05 - Discussion of building businesses around AI tools 1:16:02 - Using AI for fashion design, generating images based on verbal descriptions 1:29:29 - Comparing image quality between DALL-E and Midjourney 1:43:25 - Experimenting with "DALL-E round tripping" to iterate on an image 1:45:46 - Generating video from still images with RunwayML 1:52:56 - Making an interactive bot with Anthropic's Claude 2:00:10 - Using AI to help a child debug code 2:15:25 - ChatGPT's rapid user growth mirrors the early web 2:38:43 - Overview of the expanding capabilities inside the ChatGPT app

0:33 oh I
0:37 started yeah it's a Professional
0:41 Organization welcome to the AI learning
0:43 lab
0:44 everybody [ __ ] zoning out scrolling
0:48 Discord I'm like what's going on oh I'm
0:50 live honey is this thing live how do you
0:54 how do you turn on the Tik Tok Jane Jane
0:58 how do you turn on the Tik Tok
1:02 [Music]
1:04 welcome to your live thank you very much
1:07 Corey yeah I know you've done this
1:10 before you know what it's like well
1:12 actually you may not know what it's like
1:14 to be in this silly [ __ ]
1:17 brain oh man Source Camp what's
1:21 happening welcome welcome welcome it is
1:24 Wednesday night Wednesday night and
1:27 let's see why is this
1:29 dimming what's going on here why did
1:31 this go dim oh probably because I dimmed
1:36 it I get it let's see which little
1:39 picture do I want to pick here I know
1:41 I'll do Ted's pizza
1:43 box AI learning lab
1:47 Pizza look at
1:49 that how awesome is that welcome
1:52 everyone name's Kyle
1:55 Shannon I'm the uh I'm the dude
1:59 here
2:03 I'm the I'm the senior scientist what
2:06 are your
2:07 qualifications uh well by scientist I
2:10 mean uh I have taken a course in science
2:14 occasionally in my childhood
2:16 youth um this is the AI learning lab I'm
2:20 an entrepreneur I'm the uh co-founder
2:22 and CEO of a company called
2:24 storyvine and that's an automated video
2:27 storytelling platform that interestingly
2:30 well I don't know if it's interesting to
2:31 you but it is to me does not use uh AI
2:34 to do the automation we use oldfashioned
2:39 code we automate things the oldfashioned
2:41 way a decade of
2:47 development oh man Clint C ahead
2:51 everyone IR regulars and mods present
2:53 Turtles llamas hedgehogs or your
2:55 favorite animal Gummy
2:58 Bears um so what we do here that's my
3:01 nice tiktock hat thank you very much I
3:04 appreciate the
3:05 gifts so what we'll do is I I'll get
3:08 everyone up to speed if you're new to
3:09 this generative AI stuff if you just
3:11 stumbled on here and you're like wait a
3:12 minute is that Tom Arnold what' someone
3:15 say last night Tom Hanks you remind me
3:18 of a cross between Tom Hanks and Tom
3:22 Arnold one of those I
3:26 like life's like a box of chocolates
3:34 mhm um if you have any questions about
3:37 AI pop them in the comments below I'll
3:38 do my best to answer them
3:41 um if you have thoughts on AI if you're
3:43 afraid of AI if you think it's a
3:45 complete waste of time if you think it's
3:48 evil toss them all in there I'm
3:51 curious
3:53 um I did a uh my latest video today I
3:56 did a uh a video
3:59 on I hear I hear a lot of artists A lot
4:02 of creatives that are very angry about
4:04 Ai and they're like it's going to
4:05 replace the
4:07 artist and what I've been thinking about
4:09 over the past couple of weeks is that
4:11 there are different levels of art right
4:14 and it's it's kind of like a
4:16 pyramid and at the bottom of the pyramid
4:19 is art that just has to be good enough
4:22 like it doesn't have to be great just
4:24 has to be good enough right whether it's
4:26 a jingle like a song for a background of
4:29 a video or whether it's a a graphic for
4:32 PowerPoint presentation or whatever it
4:33 just needs to be good enough and the
4:35 next layer up is it's got to be
4:37 good and then the top of the pyramid the
4:40 the least amount of content that needs
4:42 to be generated needs to be
4:45 excellent and so I think what's going to
4:46 happen with this content triangle is
4:49 that and and really with all knowledge
4:50 work for that matter is that it's going
4:52 to automate from the bottom up and
4:56 so our ability to create like an AI
4:59 learning lab pizza box like this little
5:01 image right here um we wouldn't have
5:04 hired an artist to do that we we is me
5:08 right I've got this Channel I want to
5:10 put cute little pictures in this box I
5:13 would not have hired artists to do this
5:14 I would not have spent time in Photoshop
5:16 to do this this art is good enough if it
5:18 has typos in it it's fine like it's you
5:21 know it's just like it's just setting a
5:24 mood it just needs to be good
5:26 enough and so some art automate the [ __ ]
5:29 out of it just let it be and then that
5:32 middle layer the good art well the good
5:34 art is probably going to be some
5:36 combination of human
5:39 refinement and AI automation right you
5:42 can make more now and maybe you maybe um
5:45 you won't get paid as much but you can
5:47 do different styles than you otherwise
5:49 would have done or like there there's
5:50 lots of opportunity there in that middle
5:52 section and that that excellent section
5:55 that that sort of smaller you know top
5:57 of the pyramid that's the stuff that
5:59 stills going to require handcrafting
6:01 even if you're using AI tools to assist
6:03 in getting there you know if you're
6:05 making a a a film for Spielberg or or
6:09 you're you know doing a painting for a
6:11 museum or you're doing you know a play
6:13 or performance or like there's there's
6:15 there's a a lot of art that's still
6:17 going to live in that RAR rarified air
6:20 of art with the capital
6:23 A and that's about human expression and
6:26 so I think right now that's getting
6:29 conflated in the conversation you're a
6:31 clear thinker thank you very much I'm
6:34 I'm drinking this is you all think
6:36 normally this is coffee you know what
6:38 this is tonight it's a fall treat it's
6:41 crushed ice and apple cider little apple
6:43 cider slushy one of my
6:47 favorites got a drinking
6:51 problem AI learning that pizza and
6:53 there's the AI learning lab
6:55 lunchbox with a TV in
6:58 it those are both from Ted Ted's pretty
7:02 good at this colleague said I'm
7:04 embarrassed my mom is better at AI than
7:08 me she's Gen X isn't she yep I'm telling
7:12 you man AI is Revenge of the Gen X crowd
7:17 and revenge of the liberal arts majors
7:20 and as a gen xer with an acting degree
7:24 they got they got their [ __ ] together
7:25 and they know
7:27 everything and it's like you know if I
7:29 judge it by my kids who are 23 I got
7:31 twin boys they just don't give a [ __ ]
7:33 about like I'm like there's this amazing
7:35 thing happening yeah Dad
7:37 whatever and um yeah they just don't
7:40 give a [ __ ] so it's going to be
7:42 interesting it's going to be interesting
7:43 to see where the centers of power shift
7:46 right there's there's going to be a lot
7:47 of ebbing and flowing how do I get
7:49 started with AI perfect segue Omega so
7:52 let's let's jump in and let me get you
7:56 started and who was it um
8:02 someone on this channel I can't remember
8:03 who it was right
8:06 now wasn't Ron was it Ron was it I don't
8:09 know anyway someone suggested that I
8:11 should put these these recommendations I
8:13 should do a video and pin it to the top
8:15 of my channel which I will
8:17 but okay if you're brand new to
8:20 generative AI these are the big four in
8:23 terms of what what they call large
8:24 language models so things like chat GPT
8:27 the these things that you've heard of
8:28 you hear people talk about maybe and
8:31 they're like oh you think this so good
8:32 and then you look at them you're kind of
8:33 like it's just kind of like Google isn't
8:35 it no it's not but it interface wise yes
8:40 it's a box right what do you do in that
8:42 box so while you're listening to this
8:44 channel while you're listening to me
8:45 ramble on go to chat. open.com chat GPT
8:49 that's the first it's the best it's it
8:51 just really is the best um you can you
8:54 can thank you for the cat eyes Ron was
8:57 that it was you that suggested this
8:59 right wasn't it I don't know I don't
9:00 know who it was
9:02 anyway um you can also go over where
9:04 prompt resources can be found I found
9:06 one of your videos from January oh okay
9:09 cool great I will I will do that I I've
9:12 gota I gotta update some stuff M me me
9:14 oh wait who is M me me who sorry who
9:16 just said me me me I missed it whoever
9:18 pinned it
9:23 um all right uh me me me steo that's
9:26 right a that's I like I knew it was a
9:28 short name and I and I knew it was a man
9:31 I just could not for the life even
9:32 remember it was you steo okay uh so
9:34 anyway so I'm going to make a video of
9:36 the things I'm about to show so if you
9:38 if you haven't played with chat GPT at
9:40 all just go to chat GPT the the one in
9:42 the upper leftand corner there that's
9:43 why it's yellow on these little charts
9:45 the ones that are yellow are the ones
9:46 that I think are the coolest ones of the
9:48 of the
9:49 batch um the other four are all really
9:52 important Claude is important Bard and
9:55 Bing are both connected to the internet
9:57 and they're important um the 20 20 bucks
9:59 a month for chat GPT I think is way
10:02 worth it I think you get you know
10:04 incredible value for money there if you
10:06 if you really want to learn this stuff
10:08 I'd pay for chat GPT plus and dig into
10:11 all of it I there's so much just in chat
10:14 GPT okay so that's that as an artist I
10:17 think many artists are just good enough
10:19 and are getting work so yes AI will
10:23 automate some of that stuff out yeah
10:25 exactly yeah it'll it'll Force others to
10:27 up their game you know what else is
10:29 going to happen Cory is
10:31 um there's going to be there are going
10:34 to be
10:35 people uh we're seeing this right now um
10:39 uh
10:41 uh we're seeing this right now in the in
10:44 the
10:45 Discord um Claire
10:49 is does not have an art background has a
10:51 nursing background and is just killing
10:54 it with a AI art and I think what you're
10:56 going to see is you're going to see some
10:57 artists get discouraged and drop out
10:59 you're going to see other artists emerge
11:01 because of the tools that they that they
11:04 they have found a new way to express
11:05 themselves that wasn't possible before
11:08 and so I think you're going to see a
11:10 really interesting mix of new artists
11:13 come onto the scene you know some
11:14 artists are going to totally Embrace
11:16 this [ __ ] and just take it to a whole
11:17 another level and then there's going to
11:19 be a whole batch of artists that emerge
11:20 out of nowhere um just because of the
11:23 tools so okay so those are the big four
11:26 llms the the other four that are worth
11:28 paying attention into are Pi perplexity
11:31 the Llama 2 models from meta and then po
11:35 um Pi in particular if you download the
11:37 iOS app for
11:39 pi um you put it into voice mode and you
11:42 just talk to it and it's it's really
11:44 remarkable it's connected to the
11:46 internet they just raised a whole pile
11:47 of money they're I think they're going
11:48 to be a big player so it's an
11:50 interesting one to to experience what
11:52 it's like to have a conversation with
11:54 one of these large language models it's
11:55 it's pretty wild okay image creation by
11:59 the way you should be screenshotting
12:01 these any projects you thinking of
12:02 working on um reason for learning well
12:06 so user 1214
12:09 3858
12:13 4229 change your name first of all we
12:16 like creative names in here I will give
12:18 you a score right now it's a 0 five out
12:20 of 10 not five out of 10 0.5 out of 10
12:24 but good question um I'm I've got a big
12:29 project that I'm uh fingers crossed I
12:32 should find out next Tuesday a big
12:34 Pharma company is going to pay my
12:37 company and me to go build a proof of
12:40 concept of a really cool content
12:43 generation engine and then if that goes
12:45 well we'll move into actually building
12:47 out a pilot of the platform so that I'm
12:50 super excited about um but but your
12:53 point is a good one so so as you play
12:55 with these with these AI tools one of
12:58 the things that I found with them is is
12:59 that they can get very intimidating very
13:01 fast and not intimidating like they're
13:03 complicated and Technical intimidated
13:06 like if you're at chat GPT and you just
13:08 have that blank box and you know it can
13:11 do
13:13 anything what do you do where do you
13:16 start and so I I find it it it's almost
13:20 the equivalent of what they call White
13:22 Page syndrome if you're a writer and you
13:24 know you put down the the fresh piece of
13:26 paper and you look at it and like your
13:28 vocabulary just brains out of your head
13:31 it's kind of like that and so one of the
13:33 things I found is pick a project first
13:36 don't don't say I want to do something
13:39 on chat GPT just say I need to solve
13:41 this thing in my life or I want to
13:43 create a blank or I want to right just
13:45 just think of some project a kids story
13:48 an exercise plan doesn't it literally
13:50 doesn't matter just pick a project and
13:53 then go okay how can I do that with AI
13:56 maybe I do it with doly image generation
13:58 maybe I do with chat GPT with words
14:00 right maybe I do it with
14:02 code so start with the project okay so
14:05 image generation the top two Dolly 3 is
14:08 the one I'm in love with right now
14:10 because if you pay the 20 bucks for chat
14:12 GPT plus you get image generation inside
14:15 chat GPT 4 and it's wild it's just wild
14:20 and and miraculous mid journey is the
14:22 highest quality it it highest in terms
14:25 of quality of
14:26 image it looks like they're about to
14:28 launch a website they just if you go to
14:30 beta. Mid journey.com they just uh they
14:33 just released a new version of their
14:35 viewer so you can view your artwork it's
14:38 really good and at the top of it is a
14:40 grade out section where you can do image
14:41 generation so I think they're they're
14:43 coming pretty soon with a web- based
14:45 thing right now you have to make M
14:46 images in mid Journey it sucks Leonardo
14:48 is really really good it's built on top
14:50 of stable diffusion yeah Ron says
14:52 Leonardo's rad it's got all sorts of
14:54 switches and dials and models you can
14:56 play with and they've B basically taken
14:58 the complexity of stable diffusion which
15:00 if you're a geek go [ __ ] geek out on
15:03 stable diffusion but if you're not
15:05 Leonardo gives you a lot of that power
15:07 without having to um you know learn all
15:11 the command line crap and then if you
15:15 work for a company the Adobe generative
15:17 AI stuff is they are leaning heavy into
15:20 this uh I know one of the guys on the
15:22 Adobe AI team I used to work with him
15:24 he's a great guy they're doing really
15:26 good stuff okay so
15:29 let's see who's that Apple user hi Kyle
15:32 um regulars and Irregulars I just try
15:35 not watching this live but I can't
15:37 resist we have you we have you Apple
15:40 user you can make money with j a big
15:42 time don't you know you want to don't
15:45 you know you want to make the money with
15:46 the CH oh hello oh hi Mark hi all right
15:51 that's the images oh and then oh wow
15:53 that was super cool Sherry D thank you
15:55 very much very very sweet um I
15:59 appreciate the gifts they mean a lot
16:01 they help a lot um what was I going to
16:03 say uh
16:04 oh if you want a really interesting
16:07 document that document Below open art.
16:09 a/ promptbook is like a 96 page
16:13 PowerPoint document that's it's designed
16:15 for stable diffusion but it basically
16:18 teaches you how to prompt these large
16:20 language model image generation tools
16:23 and it's it's just it's an amazing
16:25 document just to sort of get your head
16:27 around how much these tools know how
16:30 deep they run thank you very much Pearl
16:34 America per Pearl I can't see the rest
16:36 of your name but thank you for the
16:38 Earth's You Got the Whole World in your
16:42 hand you got the whole world thank you
16:45 very much Sher D thank
16:49 you y'all are sweet okay um what else
16:53 video generation everyone's asking about
16:55 video generation Kyle how you make
16:57 videos you know I heard you could make
16:59 videos how you make videos Kyle do you
17:01 know how to make videos videos are cool
17:05 you have a company called storyvine and
17:07 it does videos and I like videos how do
17:09 you do videos why do they always talk
17:12 like that why do they always talk like
17:13 that I don't know I don't know where to
17:15 start making money using cat gbt um J
17:19 torade J oh Jade holy crap 10 out of 10
17:23 on the name no you know what 9.5 out of
17:27 name although I don't know how you'd
17:28 improve it
17:29 because it was just slightly hard to to
17:31 figure out how to say it but Jade no
17:34 that's 10 out of 10 that's a solid name
17:37 uh I will tell you where to start making
17:39 money with chat but you're not going to
17:40 like the answer um okay with video
17:44 generation Runway ml Moon Valley and P
17:46 labs are all kind of the same thing um
17:48 Runway ml was the first kind of text to
17:51 video thing that made some noise pabs
17:53 right now is kind of taking sneaking up
17:56 on second there um I have a feeling
17:59 the beginning of 2024 these video tools
18:02 are going to start to get really good
18:04 right now they're just janky ass they
18:07 they all make video where the face just
18:09 blobs around and it's really hard to
18:12 keep them coherent I think they're going
18:14 to get much much better in a in a very
18:16 short amount of time that's what
18:17 happened with the image gen tools um
18:20 visel is kind of fun to play with hey
18:21 Jen and did are both voice synthesis
18:25 tools that can also animate a picture
18:28 but hen in particular they've got this
18:30 labs. haen thing is video translation
18:33 into 13 languages it's mind-blowing
18:36 really really good um these are people
18:39 to follow Ethan mullik who's A Wharton
18:41 business school Professor David Shapiro
18:44 who's working on an open source AGI pro
18:46 project if you're a geek you should
18:49 absolutely follow him and join his open
18:51 source projects and if you're not a geek
18:53 he he does like two or three videos a
18:55 week that are face meltingly powerful
18:58 like he's been thinking about this stuff
19:00 for a decade he's deep in it he's he's
19:03 neuros spicy like the rest of us and he
19:06 just he goes deep he goes really deep
19:08 really powerful um Paul rer from the
19:10 marketing AI institute's really good
19:12 Rachel woods from AI exchange is really
19:14 good those two things down below there
19:15 are
19:17 directories um there's some music [ __ ]
19:20 11 labs's voice refusion is uh
19:24 synthesized music sound raw is like uh
19:28 AI assembled Loop music but it does
19:33 stuff really really
19:34 fast there's 3D worlds and objects and
19:37 then there's some a some AI lab stuff so
19:41 the YouTube channel is AI learninglab
19:43 dtt if you want to see all of the old
19:45 replays of these things why you would
19:48 want if you you know what you should do
19:50 you should go watch all of the back
19:52 videos of the AI learning lab lives just
19:54 for this moment you can make money
19:57 with you can Assemble little little cut
19:59 scene of all those um the AI salon so
20:03 I'll talk about the the uh the Discord
20:05 and I occasionally look over here and
20:07 check the Discord um that's what I'm
20:10 talking about so so the AI salon's a
20:12 community I started last December
20:14 December 8th was our first meeting or
20:16 the seventh was our first meeting so
20:18 we're coming up on our oneye anniversary
20:20 and um yeah it's uh go to the salon. you
20:25 can join the Meetup you can join the
20:26 Discord things like that adobe fire fly
20:29 is looking at using scripts to generate
20:31 storyboards for videos truly wow
20:35 yep yeah I like adobe's going to lean
20:38 into this stuff hard now now that
20:39 they've so it's funny we had John neck
20:42 from Adobe spoke at the AI Salon I think
20:45 our second or third week last December
20:47 or maybe it was
20:48 January
20:50 and Adobe they they had some internal
20:54 projects that they were playing around
20:56 with AI but they were not at all clear
20:57 that they were going to launch this
20:59 stuff and he talked a little bit about
21:01 it he previewed it a bit and then they
21:03 got then they started a Discord server
21:06 and they invited us a bunch of in there
21:07 in there to to you know sort of kick
21:10 tires on stuff and like two months later
21:13 they came out with firefly and man ever
21:14 since then they are just on it they are
21:17 just going so um yeah so adobe's really
21:20 interesting right now okay so um pop any
21:24 questions you have in the comments below
21:25 the that question that I haven't gotten
21:28 to what was it oh how do you make money
21:30 with chat gbt yes
21:39 okay Silver Fox thank you so much you
21:42 can make
21:43 money
21:46 how
21:48 how step one ignore these
21:53 people Becky R I did it I paid 20 bucks
21:56 for chat gbt however I had to attach an
21:59 exterior mic help had to attach an
22:02 exterior
22:04 mic for
22:06 what for if you're on
22:10 iOS no if you're on iOS you should have
22:12 a microphone I don't understand Becca
22:15 Becka I did not know what you mean
22:17 whatever do you mean
22:19 becaro um we'll we'll get you
22:21 straightened up okay here's the deal all
22:25 of those people when you're scrolling
22:26 Tik Tok and and they're annoying talking
22:29 about Ai and and you're like but Kyle
22:31 you're annoyingly talking about AI
22:34 that's cute different annoying different
22:36 annoying okay
22:39 okay yeah we're going to need you to go
22:41 in ahead and come in on
22:43 Saturday
22:45 um all those people you can
22:48 M all those annoying people that are
22:51 like you know why they're talking like
22:53 that because they're not selling
22:56 knowledge what they're selling you on
22:58 how they're making their money is
23:01 getting you to pay them to tell you how
23:03 to make
23:04 money what yeah if they were making
23:07 money with chat GPT they wouldn't be
23:10 maing a course called you could make
23:12 money with
23:14 chpt
23:16 so I know this is a smarmy ass response
23:19 but it those people drive me [ __ ]
23:21 crazy why
23:25 because they're leading with the wrong
23:27 thing I mean sure we all want
23:30 money but what they're saying is you can
23:32 make money with a tool chpt is a tool
23:36 it's actually a series of tools now but
23:39 chat jpt is a tool Photoshop is a
23:42 tool this light that lights my face as a
23:45 tool this fancy little phone that's got
23:48 more compute power than all of NASA in
23:50 1969 is a
23:52 tool so you can make money with cat GPT
23:54 is a false
23:57 promise because because I could just as
23:59 easily say you could make money with
24:00 Photoshop how I don't know have talent
24:02 learn how to use Photoshop and convince
24:05 people oh wow that's
24:08 fantastic good
24:10 Lord I thought I was having a stroke
24:13 there for a minute that was
24:19 awesome
24:22 oh oh okay Becky Ru Becky it sounds like
24:25 you solved your you solved your problem
24:27 okay I'll I'll if you haven't solved it
24:29 let me know Kyle you're the greatest
24:30 well thank you very much I appreciate
24:32 that here's the deal here's how you make
24:34 money with chat GP and this is getting
24:36 serious now and this is this is the part
24:38 that's that you're not going to like but
24:40 I I do have better news on the end of it
24:42 the the part you're not going to like is
24:43 how you make money with chat gbt is you
24:46 figure out a problem that needs solving
24:48 and you solve it and if you solve it in
24:51 a way that adds value to people they'll
24:52 pay you money for it well that sounds
24:56 hard solving problems yes starting
24:58 business businesses is hard and it and
25:00 solving problems doesn't need to mean it
25:03 it needs to be serious like solving
25:05 problems could be people are bored and
25:07 want to be
25:08 entertained okay I can entertain them
25:11 I've got skills I've I could whatever do
25:16 storytelling you know people want their
25:18 lives made easier you know do project
25:20 management people want to sell more
25:23 pizza figure out ways to get more people
25:24 to their pizza shop so if you've got
25:27 some something that you're good at or
25:29 something that you're passionate about
25:31 and you can see that there's a problem
25:33 in the world that needs solving go okay
25:37 I'm going to solve that problem start
25:39 there that's step one find the problem
25:41 to solve step
25:43 two go look at
25:45 jgpt right go look at DOI go look at Mid
25:49 Journey go look at the music generation
25:51 things go look at any of them go look at
25:53 zappier with
25:57 automations
25:58 and then as you learn these
26:00 tools and you know you have a problem to
26:02 solve all of a sudden something's going
26:04 to click and you're going to go oh my
26:05 God I know what I can do you know what I
26:08 could do I could do this and I could
26:11 solve it for you and I could do it
26:13 better faster or cheaper than the
26:15 competition because I'm using you can
26:17 make money with ch I'm using
26:20 CH and that's how you make money at it
26:23 you start with the
26:25 problem and here's the good news chat
26:28 gbt even though it's just a tool is a
26:30 really [ __ ] powerful tool so once you
26:34 understand the problem you want to solve
26:36 you can literally go into chat GP and go
26:38 hey chat GP uh I kind of want to solve
26:40 this problem and I know a little bit
26:42 about it but I don't know a whole lot
26:43 about it could you tell me just a little
26:45 bit about it and it'll go and then you
26:49 like
26:50 oh could you tell me a little
26:53 more no that's
26:56 good could you come up with a business
26:58 business
26:59 strategy could you help me come up with
27:01 a
27:02 name on and on and on and
27:05 on I'm telling you think of a problem
27:08 you need to
27:09 solve go to chat GPT knowing nothing
27:12 about chat GPT spend the weekend with
27:15 it start to wait today's Wednesday start
27:18 Friday
27:20 night come in here watch Tik Tok live
27:23 with watch chat add live with Kyle
27:27 Shannon
27:29 and then and then whenever this gets
27:30 done go play with Chachi play before you
27:32 get in
27:34 here and then and and just spend the
27:36 weekend trying to solve that problem I I
27:39 guarantee you're going to come out
27:40 you're going to come out Sunday night
27:42 going oh my God I had no
27:45 idea you're gonna be like Indiana Jones
27:47 when he comes running out of that tunnel
27:49 the ball just misses squishing
27:51 him uh Indiana Jones was a a movie that
27:55 that some of us saw when we were kids
27:57 that that had a a really young handsome
28:00 fella in it and uh he did lots of
28:03 adventure stuff and yeah we're old
28:06 anyway Kyle sir the show notes plugin in
28:11 gp4 is worth a demo it can summarize
28:14 YouTube
28:16 videos with URL oh that's cool okay cool
28:19 I'll take a look at that um I've been uh
28:24 the if you go to the YouTube channel I
28:26 showed you earlier uh
28:29 I'm doing those YouTube summaries and
28:31 titles in Claude so I take like the two
28:34 and a half hour transcript pop it into
28:37 Claude and do it so I'm I bet they're
28:39 using Claude on the back end for that
28:41 plugin I bet that's what's going on
28:43 there use Dolly 3 to create image for
28:45 Google review request for my
28:47 business ah look at this highest
28:50 conversion money you can make
28:55 money Google review request for the
28:58 business there you go so had a problem
29:01 to solve said I need a good quality
29:02 image probably went into chat gbt and
29:05 said here's my problem here yeah here's
29:08 the image I need created DOI just goes
29:11 there's your images took that tested it
29:14 and now it's performing and now he'll
29:15 make money Chachi BT is a tool it's a
29:18 tool it's a tool I just spent three
29:21 hours solving my problem of attaching my
29:24 mic to my Surface Pro using chat GPT
29:27 well there you go that's the other thing
29:29 that chat PT can do it but this is
29:32 serious this is big big time
29:34 serious if you're one of those people
29:36 that's like well but Kyle I'm not very
29:38 technical just like over here you've got
29:41 a picture of a of a computer clearly you
29:43 know how to use computers cuz you're on
29:45 the Tik Tok you figured this nightmare
29:47 out you don't need to have
29:50 technical prowess with this [ __ ] like
29:53 you barely need to know how to make
29:56 words it it it helps everything but I'm
30:00 a terrible typer and I can't spell it
30:03 doesn't
30:05 care you give it gobble deg that sort of
30:08 looks like English and it's like I got
30:10 you I'm right here for you Bob come on
30:13 let's
30:16 go it's amazing so just jump in just
30:19 start
30:22 playing all right I think I missed a
30:24 question there I I started answering a
30:26 question well this is so here's the deal
30:28 like you know sometimes people come in
30:30 here and they've got you know like you
30:33 know semi-normal brain function and
30:35 they're like he seems a little chaotic
30:37 in all over the place yeah yeah welcome
30:41 to my brain Richard
30:45 Boyd what's happening man Richard Boyd
30:49 he's a [ __ ] beast Richard Boyd who
30:51 who Who's got the question up here right
30:52 now he's been doing this AI ship for
30:55 like I what 12 or 15 years he's he's
30:58 baller Richard and I met in like
31:01 1992 maybe or I don't
31:04 know and he was working at this place
31:06 called um Veris that did um like
31:09 realtime 3D software and it was super
31:13 easy to use and I thought I thought oh I
31:15 could make virtual film sets and so I
31:19 reached out to them and I said hey I got
31:21 this business called what was it called
31:23 virtual virtual storyboard
31:26 creations and Richard was like come to
31:29 our Bo booth at Boston MA Macker
31:32 Boston and uh and that's how we met we
31:35 stayed in touch he's a great guy so
31:37 anyway what what was your question
31:39 Richard can someone repin Richard's post
31:41 there I just it just went
31:43 away
31:47 um oh it was uh what can I recommend for
31:50 sales um I don't know on sales Richard
31:55 um there's let's see what's the best
31:59 tool for sales I'd like to scrape sites
32:01 at the moment oh okay there's a site
32:04 Richard called hum Mantic you'll like
32:06 this okay I think it's human. let me go
32:10 let me go confirm that it's not it's
32:12 it's it's a sales tool but it's not it
32:14 it's not like an AI for sales
32:17 but considering what you want to do I
32:19 think it's the right tool hang on uh
32:24 htic yeah
32:26 AI
32:32 yes selling is evolving are you so so so
32:35 what this site does is
32:39 um it will scrape LinkedIn like you give
32:43 it LinkedIn
32:44 profiles it'll scrape the LinkedIn
32:47 profiles put all that data in a um in a
32:50 spreadsheet in a data file and then it
32:54 also runs two different personality
32:57 profiles on each LinkedIn profile so not
33:01 only do you have like the work history
33:02 of the person you have two different
33:04 personality assessments of that person
33:08 so you could do a totally personalized
33:12 Outreach campaign to everyone everyone
33:15 you Target on
33:16 LinkedIn that that acknowledges like
33:19 their latest work history or something
33:21 some interesting hobby they have but
33:23 also do it in a way that is in line with
33:25 their personality so like are they super
33:27 organized are they Super Creative um so
33:31 that's that's what human's doing is is
33:33 they're adding in that personality
33:35 analysis layer on top of the uh LinkedIn
33:38 scraping so what is scraping I missed it
33:41 so so scrape okay
33:46 so scraping is basically Because The
33:49 Internet Is An Open protocol right
33:52 shit's just
33:54 HTML um you can go look at websites and
33:57 look at data right with your eyeballs
33:59 well you can also write scripts computer
34:02 programs that go to those websites and
34:04 read those pages as well and scraping is
34:07 where you actually pull the data out of
34:08 that website and put it into a
34:10 database
34:12 um many websites have policies against
34:15 scraping um because they're like that's
34:17 our data and if you want our data use
34:19 our API and pay us our API fees so it's
34:23 depending on the site scraping is a
34:25 little um uh
34:28 Edge Casey in terms of Ethics but it's
34:31 done all the time and you know it's
34:32 basically what Google's entire Fortune
34:35 is based on um could we get him a collar
34:38 that shocks him when comments are
34:43 pinned that's good Ted you're gonna need
34:46 to make an image for that I think I'm
34:49 like going chat
34:52 add you got a comment to respond to
34:56 Buddy I usually see the comments unless
34:59 I'm actually like looking at the
35:00 computer screen doing some
35:02 [Laughter]
35:04 work all right let's see let's get some
35:07 more questions in here no what platform
35:11 Kyle the student becomes the master
35:13 Richard
35:15 [Laughter]
35:18 Boyd that's really
35:20 funny uh uh uh uh uh Richard Boyd is the
35:24 man knows his [ __ ] and you know what's
35:26 funny
35:27 like if I were Richard I'd be a little
35:30 bitter right now cuz he's been Richard's
35:33 been talking about this AI [ __ ] for like
35:34 a decade being like uh Kyle you should
35:37 see this like he's he's done amazing
35:40 projects He didn't he did a project um
35:43 when his father passed where he took all
35:45 of his writings of his father that he
35:47 gathered like like this massive amount
35:49 of data and created a virtual version of
35:52 his father that he could say like you
35:54 know what newspapers would he be reading
35:56 things like that what's the website
35:58 please uh this one the um htic the
36:01 selling one it's htic doai hu m a t i c.
36:10 a um but Richard's been talking about
36:13 this for years and then chat GPT comes
36:15 out and you know everyone including me
36:17 is like hey Richard this IU's really
36:19 cool did you know that he's like oh yeah
36:22 I've been talking about it for like a
36:26 decade he doesn't talk like that but he
36:28 should he should have that kind of
36:30 attitude uh yeah uh yeah I yeah I knew
36:33 about it Kyle yeah yeah I yeah pretty
36:36 solid on it yep yep
36:39 yep I'm like it can do magical stuff
36:42 he's like yeah it it it requires a
36:44 little work there
36:45 [Laughter]
36:49 buddy oh
36:52 man I had to get gummy Gars Gars because
36:55 Kyle made me crave them you're
36:58 welcome look oh there's some in
37:03 here
37:05 um so I I saw a Tik Tok today where you
37:08 can take a gummy
37:10 bear and you can put it in like a tub of
37:13 water and then you put some salt in it
37:16 and leave it put it in the fridge
37:17 overnight and it it turns into like a
37:19 Gummy Bear the size of your head I got
37:22 to try that I didn't think I had any
37:23 left I can't eat them all but uh
37:28 there's I'll do it with the red
37:30 one I'm going to try the
37:34 experiment all right let's move on wrong
37:38 Rich
37:43 sorry oh you're not Richard Boyd that I
37:45 know you're a different Richard Boyd oh
37:47 well well it's funny because Richard
37:50 Boyd Rich Richard Boyd um like last week
37:54 said he was going to come into the live
37:56 so so I just assumed it was him that's
37:58 really funny well welcome Richard Boyd
37:59 who's not the Richard Boyd of the other
38:01 of the famous Richard Boyds um got two
38:04 jobs today one is creating lifestyle
38:06 cookbook because I know AI Source Camp
38:10 bang you can make
38:13 money
38:15 okay look got two jobs today one is
38:19 creating a lifestyle cookbook because I
38:22 know AI ah
38:24 what those are fantastic thank you for
38:27 those you scare the [ __ ] out of me I
38:29 like it it's better than the elephant
38:32 nose which just looks like someone put a
38:34 giant penut on my face every time I see
38:36 it I'm like oh oh my I do have the
38:40 vapors good day is it war in here is it
38:44 me
38:46 okay big part of this channel what I
38:51 evangelize is not you got to love AI I
38:54 don't give a [ __ ] if you love AI this
38:57 channel is about these tools are not
39:00 coming these tools are here and they're
39:02 going to change everything this channel
39:05 is about just start exploring just start
39:08 playing and then one of the other things
39:10 I always talk about is share what you're
39:13 learning share what you're learning but
39:15 Kyle people think I'm a weirdo
39:19 cuz [ __ ] them let them think you're a
39:22 weirdo put it out there put it on
39:24 LinkedIn hey I just played with gbt and
39:28 I didn't think it could write this kind
39:29 of poetry but then I asked it to write
39:31 this kind of poetry and here's this kind
39:32 of poetry holy
39:34 [ __ ] hey I just tried to use chat GPT
39:37 and it failed miserably here's the six
39:39 ways it failed me put that out
39:41 there just put it out there put it out
39:44 there cuz someone you know who's
39:47 probably afraid to talk about it is
39:49 trying to figure this [ __ ] out too and
39:50 if they see you're out there doing it
39:52 they'll be like oh you can do this
39:54 here's what I learned did you learn this
39:55 oh no I didn't learn that but I learned
39:57 this oh that's really good and then you
39:58 start that and before you know it you
39:59 started a business you're quitting your
40:01 jobs and you're you can make
40:04 money or someone reaches out to you and
40:07 says I want you to do a cookbook cuz I
40:08 know you know this AI stuff and I want
40:10 to turn it around really fast and I
40:11 don't really want to spend a fortune on
40:13 it but my MMA you know used to make this
40:16 kind of stuff and if you could put in
40:17 these recipes and then add some more and
40:18 we could make this book and we could
40:20 call it Mama's casserole mima's
40:24 casserole then you have a job
40:30 and if nothing
40:32 else you'll have fun with this stuff
40:34 like I like I'm starting to experience
40:37 learning Ai and playing with AI almost
40:40 like a video game like I'm getting the
40:42 same high that I get from video games
40:44 because it's so immediate source Camp
40:46 can you talk about how you're how you're
40:48 finding your clients yeah that would be
40:53 great
40:55 um you know yeah yeah yeah yeah that's
41:00 super cool super excited for
41:03 you uh I appreciate what you do so much
41:05 Cam cat from
41:07 cat I I always stumble on your name and
41:10 it's the best name cam cat came from
41:12 Cleveland I always want to put the
41:14 Cleveland in too early I tried to make
41:17 business visiting wait I tried to make
41:18 business visiting cards couldn't get
41:21 100% successful can you show us please
41:24 wait I don't know what a business VIs
41:26 visiting card is you mean like a
41:28 business
41:30 card and and if you wanted to make that
41:32 with like mid Journey or
41:34 dolly3 it's probably going to be sketchy
41:37 like so so it's it's actually I'd like
41:40 to understand better what you're trying
41:42 to
41:42 do um maybe you mean a business calling
41:46 card so if you want to make the art for
41:48 a business calling card that I can show
41:51 you if you want it to have all the
41:52 details of the text absolutely correct
41:55 it's not going to do that likely
41:57 every conversation I have is about Ai
42:00 and I'm teaching people what it can do
42:02 there this is Source camp they're
42:05 overwhelmed yeah that's that's that's it
42:08 people right now are either in fear
42:10 they're they're angry at it which is
42:11 just you know fear pointed in a
42:15 direction business card made it with
42:17 Bing okay yeah so I I understand why I I
42:21 I'm guessing I understand why it's
42:23 failing you and I'll I'll I'll show you
42:24 what I can with it okay um it's 2023
42:28 what's a business card that's a great
42:30 Point
42:32 um people are afraid right now people
42:36 have been told for 40 or 50 years from
42:38 Hollywood that the robots are going to
42:39 kill
42:40 us the art community is going these the
42:44 robots are [ __ ] stealing from us and
42:46 and they're evil and never [ __ ] use
42:48 them um The Writers Guild cited AI as a
42:51 major they they were like [ __ ] Ai and
42:53 then if you look at their contract it
42:54 doesn't say [ __ ] AI it says we're going
42:56 to work with with this but don't steal
42:58 from us which is fine I'm totally down
43:00 with that but their initial positioning
43:02 was was a little hostile so there's a
43:03 lot of hostility out there towards it
43:06 there's also this fear that to be able
43:10 to do AI you got to be a mathematician
43:12 and until about a year ago that was true
43:16 you had to be an engineer or a
43:18 researcher or a
43:20 mathematician cuz you had to use things
43:22 like tensor flow from Google and you had
43:24 to do math and understand what weights
43:26 were and embeddings were and Vector
43:28 space was and you had to new command
43:30 line stuff and Google collab and all you
43:32 just it like
43:35 it from a from an from
43:38 a from an engineer's perspective it
43:41 wasn't that tough but from a human
43:43 perspective it was a pain in the ass and
43:46 then chat GPT came out and it just made
43:48 it a Google box here it
43:51 is just type in it I can do that magic
43:58 magic um so as you talk to people and
44:02 demystify this stuff and make it less
44:05 scary and make it relevant to them hey
44:08 Sally you know I know you were trying to
44:10 put together that bake sale for the
44:12 community center um do you want some
44:16 help putting together some marketing
44:18 ideas for the Flyers oh yeah I'm
44:20 completely overwhelmed could you do that
44:22 sure come over here hey let me show you
44:23 this chat jpt thing I just learned on B
44:26 sale marketing
44:27 ideas oh my God that's amazing it can do
44:32 that sure Sally you want to know what
44:35 else you can do
44:37 yeah and then Sally's had her Kevin
44:40 McAllister
44:43 moment you should use these tools until
44:45 you have your Kevin mallister moment or
44:47 if you're training other people sit down
44:49 with them and let them play or play with
44:52 play with the tools in front of them
44:53 until they have that
44:55 moment and then you can't go back this
44:57 is this is red pill blue pill
45:01 [ __ ] a lot of the world right now a
45:04 lot doesn't even know what chat GPT is
45:07 some haven't even heard of
45:09 it they just there was a big study that
45:11 just came out it's like 80% of people do
45:14 not use chat GPT excuse me chat GPT at
45:18 all
45:19 80% I assume that's in the United States
45:21 it was a Mackenzie
45:23 study and that's you know it's like it
45:26 it's like down from 88% to 80 so it's
45:31 like more people are using it but most
45:33 people have not used chat gbt so when
45:36 you show this to people it blows their
45:39 [ __ ] mind because they know what
45:40 Google is they know what a search box
45:45 is
45:47 okay um let's see when I hype it up more
45:50 people say it has a downside and they're
45:52 afraid of it yeah so so here's what I
45:54 would say Don Smith
45:58 is you can hype it up but if someone's
46:00 in a defensive place if if someone's in
46:02 a position of fear around this AI stuff
46:05 and you're like AI is great they're only
46:08 going to hear that as um you're a cult
46:19 member so so the only thing that I found
46:22 that works if someone's in that
46:23 defensive position is get them talking
46:26 what they're interested in and then kind
46:28 of reveal it to them through their
46:32 interests and just don't try to sell it
46:34 just kind of say oh that's let me just
46:36 try this here oh there's a thing does
46:38 that help you at all oh my God how did
46:40 you do that so fast oh that's just chat
46:42 GPT it does that and then you know then
46:46 then you've got a an in an
46:49 in colleges are now allowing students to
46:52 use chat GPT colleges better be
46:54 embracing [ __ ] chat GPT and getting
46:57 everyone on campus including
47:00 administrators and professors and
47:04 assistants up to speed on this stuff
47:06 because they're not serving their
47:07 students if they don't I used to be kind
47:10 of neutral on this subject and the more
47:12 I think about it what do they call what
47:14 what is the category of things like chat
47:16 gbt large language model that's what
47:19 they call them what are human
47:23 beings large language models
47:27 there's this thing that has way more
47:29 knowledge than any human being that kind
47:31 of acts like a human being in it in
47:33 terms of its use of
47:35 language and universities are blocking
47:38 that [ __ ] and not actively learning it
47:41 so look the fact that they're allowing
47:43 it great now they need to take the next
47:45 step and go we got to transform How We
47:47 Do education My Philosophy is that
47:49 students should be taught as early as
47:50 possible to use it absolutely
47:53 agree because if you think about yeah
47:55 use it responsibly absolutely agree use
47:59 it responsibly responsibly think
48:01 critically about it learn where the
48:03 boundaries are learn what it's good at
48:05 learn what it's not good
48:08 at
48:10 because November 30th right so what's
48:14 today the 24th or
48:16 25th so just just over a month away chat
48:21 gpt's been out for one
48:23 year one year if you been playing with
48:26 this [ __ ] at
48:28 all you recognize that this tool is
48:33 going to change everything we're not
48:34 even a year into
48:37 it so imagine you're a freshman that
48:39 started this year imagine four years
48:42 from
48:43 now what these tools are going to be
48:46 able to
48:47 do and what they're going to have done
48:49 to the workforce and entrylevel
48:54 positions if if a student comes out of a
48:57 school four years from now being taught
49:00 here's how to code
49:02 python they're
49:06 [ __ ] colleague met with me to pick my
49:08 brain about AI said your name keeps
49:12 coming up about knowing this so cuno so
49:16 this is you can make
49:17 Mone this is internal this is
49:20 entrepreneurship so so cuno works at a
49:22 big company and she's just been vocal
49:24 about hey I know this stuff look at this
49:27 can I teach you this I'll do a workshop
49:29 for your
49:30 group and look at that her name keeps
49:34 coming up people are
49:38 talking why are they talking about her
49:41 because we're starting to hit a Tipping
49:43 Point we're starting to hit an
49:44 inflection point
49:47 where there's enough Ethan mullik calls
49:50 these people um secret cyborgs I I would
49:53 argue that cuno is not a secret cyborg
49:55 she's she's she's just someone using the
49:57 tools a secret cyborg according to Ethan
50:00 mullik is AI literate people within
50:04 companies that aren't telling anyone
50:05 about it so there's entire subcultures
50:09 of AI literate people that are not
50:11 really benefiting the company because
50:12 they're not talking about it so what I
50:15 encourage in here is learn this [ __ ] and
50:17 talk about it because the inflection
50:19 point that starting to happen is enough
50:21 people are hearing I got to deal with
50:22 this chat gbt thing I got to deal with
50:24 this chat gbt thing does any know
50:26 anything about chbt oh Chris does Chris
50:29 knows you know Chris Chris down in here
50:31 she's she's she I think she just gave a
50:33 workshop oh okay and then and then
50:36 they'll forget about it and then they go
50:37 to lunch three days later and they're
50:38 like oh crap I got to learn this AI
50:40 stuff this hey Jim you do you know
50:42 anyone oh yeah I just I just had lunch
50:44 with uh with Chris over there she she
50:46 knows all about this stuff you should go
50:47 talk to
50:49 her this is going to serve her
50:53 professionally not teaching anything
50:55 specific specific just putting it out
50:58 there this is
51:00 cool I've mastered it and built a
51:03 business around it brainwave pro. that's
51:05 super cool let me go look at
51:09 it
51:11 brainwave pro.
51:17 a bring your ideas to
51:21 life very
51:24 cool
51:26 [Music]
51:33 tagline why read the same old stories
51:36 when you can make your story is that it
51:38 did I get that right when you can make
51:40 the story that's great that's awesome
51:44 congrats yeah build [ __ ] learn [ __ ] talk
51:48 about [ __ ] build [ __ ] and don't get too
51:50 attach to anything even this business
51:52 that you just started here it's a it's a
51:54 good good uh good domain brainwave pro.
51:58 a
52:00 um it's great but don't get too married
52:02 to anything because the technology is
52:03 changing so fast that it's like learn it
52:06 get excited about it build something put
52:08 it out there if it takes off great if it
52:10 doesn't great you learn something and
52:13 then learn the next thing and then learn
52:15 the next thing and then learn the next
52:16 thing just keep
52:21 going here's the AI learning lab ice
52:23 cream truck you have an ice cream truck
52:26 oh yeah we
52:27 do oh
52:31 yeah I have an and you can't have your
52:36 mom's on
52:37 Ware um Abott skinny I just finished
52:40 eight hours on chat chpt today boy am I
52:43 not tired in having a
52:48 pizza that's awesome um this is a video
52:52 for just one of the tools oh that's
52:54 super cool that's super super cool
52:56 congrats on that man I
52:58 just I think I the thing that I'm most
53:01 excited about for 2024 is I think
53:04 there's going to be a lot of personal
53:09 reinvention cuz here's what's likely
53:12 going to happen there's going to be some
53:13 people that get blindsided and their job
53:15 just gets eliminated because of
53:18 AI but I think there's going to be an
53:20 equal number of people and maybe it's
53:22 these secret cyborgs there's going to be
53:24 a lot of people who who get curious
53:27 about it and hopefully some from this
53:29 channel that get curious about
53:31 it oh it's a Marketplace of tools oh oh
53:34 cool um brainwave pro. a is a
53:37 Marketplace of tools very cool that's
53:40 awesome
53:43 um they're going to get curious about
53:45 this AI stuff they're going to be
53:47 working in whatever their job is they
53:49 might have an inl like maybe they work
53:50 in copywriting or maybe they work in you
53:52 know production art or something like
53:55 that and they're like like yeah I've
53:56 still got a job but I bet this is going
53:58 to get
53:59 whacked so let me learn this AI [ __ ] so
54:01 on weekends and nights and you know if
54:03 they work from home maybe during the
54:07 day they start learning this AI
54:10 [ __ ] and then they go ha this stuff's
54:12 pretty cool I'm like I'm pretty
54:16 sure I'm pretty sure uh Steve is working
54:19 on this stuff too let me let me call up
54:21 Steve and see what he was doing hey
54:22 Steve what are you doing on this stuff I
54:24 don't know I'm [ __ ] around with it
54:25 it's pretty amazing isn't it yeah yeah
54:27 what are you doing I don't know I'm made
54:29 an art project and I wrote a book
54:31 and I wrote I wrote three songs and I'm
54:34 starting to learn animation yeah I'm
54:36 kind of doing the same thing hey what if
54:38 we made a movie together like just that
54:40 kind of [ __ ] I think 2024 is just going
54:42 to be a year
54:44 of people completely Reinventing
54:47 themselves
54:48 accidentally tomorrow White House is
54:50 issuing an executive order on
54:54 AI
54:56 we'll see we'll
55:07 see I haven't heard anything about it
55:09 but we'll see we'll see what they do I
55:11 don't listen I don't think it's going to
55:13 be anything too egregious what it's
55:14 probably going to be is anyone who's got
55:17 the resources to do really powerful
55:19 Frontier models have to behave a certain
55:21 way is my guess I don't think it's going
55:23 to touch any of us directly I believe
55:25 our Irregulars group is growing love it
55:28 lots of new names oh that's awesome oh
55:29 yeah there's a bunch of people in here
55:30 welcome everyone uh my name's Kyle
55:33 Shannon um I've got some moderators in
55:36 here there's group called The Irregulars
55:38 people that show up here regularly um
55:40 they they've also got continence issues
55:42 it's just it's a thing when when you hit
55:43 our age but
55:47 uh
55:49 um um but they'll pin your comments if
55:52 you have if you have questions or
55:54 anything about about AI generative AI
55:56 future of work kind of stuff pop them in
55:58 the comments and I'll do my best to
55:59 answer them and uh if if one of your big
56:02 questions is but Kyle what are your
56:05 qualifications
56:07 well I'm happy to tell you
56:10 them quite a short list there are no
56:13 qualifications um some of us are making
56:16 Buddha bots on PO oh
56:19 cool that's awesome so so yeah PO is
56:23 really cool you can you can make your
56:24 own bot on PO
56:26 if you're like what's a bot chat jpt is
56:29 a bot Bots are just
56:31 basically um little front end
56:35 little they're basically little mini
56:38 chat gpts that have a
56:40 personality created a SharePoint site
56:42 for my team site with AI tools blogs
56:46 prompt libraries Etc that's awesome Hugh
56:49 story do do you work for I assume if
56:52 you're using SharePoint you probably
56:54 work for a big company right
56:57 that's that's really cool I this idea
57:01 like what this channel is I I think
57:03 there's there's something about I I feel
57:05 like in the past I mean IR regulars you
57:08 know you know this you've you've been
57:10 modding I feel like in the past six
57:13 weeks to month to six weeks there's been
57:16 an absolute
57:18 shift where this channel for the longest
57:21 time
57:22 was was mainly people going what's AI
57:26 how do I do this what do I do where do I
57:27 start how do I start and there's a lot
57:29 more people coming in now going okay I
57:33 started and now and now I've got this
57:36 situation
57:37 right I heard Tik Tok doesn't like AI
57:40 stuff is that true um Genie in a Bottle
57:43 I love that
57:46 name I doubt
57:49 it I doubt that Tik Tok doesn't like AI
57:53 stuff tick if if you look at AI filters
57:57 almost all the AI filter or all the Tik
58:00 Tok filters are are heavily AI so no I
58:03 think I think Tik Tok likes AI stuff I
58:06 think what Tik Tok probably doesn't like
58:09 is if you're doing you know a thousand
58:12 posts a
58:14 day with with AI generated stuff that's
58:17 all formulaic and it's just crap content
58:21 it they might be deprioritizing certain
58:23 kinds of content but
58:25 but so Google Google went through a very
58:28 similar um they went through a very
58:31 similar kind of resistance to AI when
58:33 chat GPT first came out everyone kind of
58:35 lost their [ __ ] and Google was one of
58:37 the first ones that said we're going to
58:39 penalize AI generated content and within
58:42 two months it was like two months a they
58:45 knew that they were going to be doing
58:47 their own AI [ __ ] so they they couldn't
58:49 just [ __ ] all over it so kind of two
58:51 months after they said we're going to
58:52 penalize AI stuff it might not even have
58:54 been that long long they said we're
58:58 going to penalize content that doesn't
59:00 add
59:01 value so they basically changed their
59:04 tune and said I don't care if you use AI
59:06 to generate content so long as it's
59:09 adding value so long as it's valuable
59:11 content how they're determining that I
59:14 don't know that's that's their [ __ ]
59:15 algorithms they can figure that [ __ ] out
59:17 um but basically and like that that for
59:20 me is the is
59:23 the that's it right like like if if
59:27 you're just spewing [ __ ] out there um
59:30 then it makes sense that you're going to
59:31 get
59:31 deprioritized um I got work wait I got
59:35 workout ratio of
59:38 silica to
59:40 alumina and create tables of new Pottery
59:43 recipes oh oh oh you had GPT workout
59:47 ratios of silica and alumina to create
59:50 tables for new Pottery recipes so Cory
59:52 Sandler Pottery she does she does Liv
59:55 you should watch her live she does like
59:56 a lot of her Pottery stuff live super
59:58 cool stuff um she's using chat GPT to do
1:00:02 chemistry [ __ ] far
1:00:04 out I did that I did um I've got um some
1:00:09 folks with chronic pain in my family and
1:00:11 we had this this juice that was kind of
1:00:14 turmeric and some other [ __ ] in it
1:00:17 poppies and things like that
1:00:20 um and the company went out of business
1:00:23 but on their packaging was the you know
1:00:26 was basically the recipe and the
1:00:28 percentages of the things and I had chat
1:00:29 GP analyze all of the ingredients it
1:00:33 tell me which ones were inert you know
1:00:36 ingredients which ones were
1:00:37 preservatives which ones were um you
1:00:40 know active ingredients and what did
1:00:42 they do and then were there other
1:00:43 ingredients that we could add that that
1:00:47 complemented them for specific pain it's
1:00:50 pretty cool it was pretty amazing at
1:00:51 that hello sir first time here what do
1:00:54 you suggest for someone who wants to
1:00:55 generate
1:00:57 images
1:00:59 for oh I got to get back to the business
1:01:02 card one so let me let me see what's the
1:01:04 rest of fub fubsy uh fubsy I'm going to
1:01:08 go 8.5 out of 10 a clothing brand um for
1:01:12 a clothing brand I would probably use
1:01:14 mid Journey but I'm going to go show you
1:01:17 it
1:01:18 depends it depends what your brain's
1:01:20 better at if you if you're if you're
1:01:22 just really into image Generation stuff
1:01:24 mid Journey probably the way to go for
1:01:26 fashion but I'm going to show you Dolly
1:01:27 3 ah [ __ ] it I'll show you
1:01:30 both okay so where we're going to start
1:01:32 is with chat GPT with
1:01:35 Dolly okay
1:01:39 so here we are chat gbt you got 3.5 and
1:01:42 four and then if you pay for chat GPT
1:01:45 plus you got all this extra [ __ ] okay
1:01:48 all sorts of stuff we could talk about
1:01:49 here but the image Generation stuff is
1:01:51 Dolly 3 actually you know what I'm going
1:01:53 to show you for fashion oh this is good
1:01:57 um what is it good artist plagiarize
1:02:00 great artist steel I'm going to show you
1:02:03 something
1:02:07 cool oh this is g to be really good okay
1:02:11 Kyle what are you talking about welcome
1:02:12 to Chad
1:02:14 add did he finish any sentences tonight
1:02:17 I don't think so how long did he talk 3
1:02:20 hours good Lord really and you watched
1:02:23 it yeah yeah I can't stop it's really
1:02:27 embarrassing I think I need a support
1:02:29 group but I'll just hang out here in the
1:02:32 meantime okay
1:02:33 [Laughter]
1:02:37 anyway I don't know how anyone [ __ ]
1:02:40 tolerates this
1:02:41 [Laughter]
1:02:43 channel sometimes I hear myself
1:02:45 sometimes in a moment of rare Lucidity I
1:02:47 hear what is coming out of my mouth and
1:02:49 I'm like oh good
1:02:52 lord all right let's go fashion
1:02:59 2024 and then we'll go
1:03:03 images or we'll go images come
1:03:11 on let's find something interesting here
1:03:14 shall
1:03:21 [Music]
1:03:23 we
1:03:28 all right there's
1:03:29 something let's grab
1:03:32 that so I'm going to save image as so
1:03:35 I'm going to grab an
1:03:37 image her
1:03:39 ma we will be inspired by her AI
1:03:44 learning Lab at train rack we can't look
1:03:45 away of course of course welcome welcome
1:03:49 to you all welcome
1:03:52 Mone um okay so back to chat GPT so I'm
1:03:58 not going to go immediately to image
1:04:00 generation this is this is the support
1:04:02 group I know
1:04:03 exactly it totally is yeah if you're if
1:04:07 you're feeling like you got no one else
1:04:08 to talk to about this AI [ __ ] you found
1:04:11 your people um okay so we're going to go
1:04:14 to regular default mode and then once
1:04:17 you're in default mode if you got chat
1:04:18 GPD plus you have this little image icon
1:04:21 here and you click on this and you can
1:04:22 upload an image and so we're going to go
1:04:24 find that Hermes
1:04:26 Hermes image and we're going to upload
1:04:29 that and I'm going to
1:04:34 say please describe this as if you were
1:04:37 a fashion
1:04:39 editor giving a review from the
1:04:46 runway so here's the
1:04:53 image
1:04:55 this Ensemble makes a statement of
1:04:56 effortless Elegance the model Don's a
1:04:59 beige button-down jacket a relected fit
1:05:01 featuring utility inspired Pockets with
1:05:03 a hint at functional yet fashionable
1:05:05 approach the underlying soft lavender
1:05:07 shirt subtly Peaks through subtly Peaks
1:05:10 through adding a gentle splash of color
1:05:12 the brown trousers continue the baggy
1:05:15 fit da da da da the standout of the
1:05:17 accessories
1:05:19 is okay so I'm going to now take that
1:05:23 description
1:05:26 and I'm going to flip over to the image
1:05:29 generation
1:05:31 mode and I'm going to
1:05:34 say I want you to act
1:05:38 like a worldclass fashion
1:05:42 designer and I want you to create four
1:05:45 different looks based
1:05:52 on this description from from a fashion
1:05:56 magazine then hit shift return I'm going
1:05:59 to paste in that
1:06:01 description and I'm going to go make the
1:06:04 images vertical in
1:06:07 format and they should
1:06:11 be
1:06:12 stylish and Visually
1:06:17 stunning and now we just sit
1:06:21 back and so what's happening right now
1:06:24 and this is this is why I wanted to
1:06:26 start with DOI because I don't have to
1:06:28 write image
1:06:29 prompts I can start with a base image I
1:06:32 could to start with last year's biggest
1:06:35 hit from your clothing thing and I could
1:06:38 say here's an image from last year
1:06:42 here's a description of the new fashion
1:06:44 trends for
1:06:45 2024 please give me three con you know
1:06:48 four Concepts that take the best of what
1:06:50 was last year and add these new like you
1:06:53 can basically just be a creative
1:06:55 director without without having to learn
1:06:58 technical commands commandline [ __ ] how
1:07:01 to make images and
1:07:04 Discord basically figure out how to
1:07:07 become a creative writer that's writing
1:07:10 technical prompts for computer vision
1:07:13 it's off doing that and there we go
1:07:16 there's there's some of
1:07:20 our there's some of our
1:07:23 looks
1:07:25 beautiful so now I'm going to
1:07:27 say
1:07:30 um those are great but they're a little
1:07:32 drab in
1:07:34 color I'd like for you to
1:07:39 create an
1:07:42 image where the colors are a call
1:07:45 back to the 80s 90s 2000s and
1:07:53 2010s
1:07:58 and it misspelled 2010s but it should
1:08:00 get it right so hopefully we'll get like
1:08:02 some neon colors for the 80s some
1:08:04 whatever the [ __ ] we were wearing in the
1:08:08 90s and then we'll see what it does for
1:08:10 the 2000s so so you can now just start
1:08:12 creative directing this thing there's
1:08:14 also there's also another thing that I
1:08:16 heard about doing here which I'll I'll
1:08:18 we'll try there's a thing called D Dolly
1:08:21 round tripping um which I heard about on
1:08:23 Reddit today Kyle ask it to place your
1:08:25 maale models oh at a
1:08:28 beach at Sunrise with Morning Light over
1:08:31 the waves or something like that fubsy
1:08:35 wow this is amazing isn't it oh look we
1:08:37 got one of
1:08:38 these fubs fubs is having their Kevin
1:08:42 McAllister moment as we
1:08:47 speak I'm telling you man 20 bucks for
1:08:49 chat GPT is the is the is is just the
1:08:52 biggest uh deal in the uh in the planet
1:08:56 look there's your 80s colors
1:08:58 perfect there's '90s yeah I was going to
1:09:00 say that that does kind of remind me of
1:09:02 the '90s there's 2010s there's 2 or 2000
1:09:05 2010s okay so now I'm going to
1:09:08 say
1:09:11 um okay I like the look of number one
1:09:15 give
1:09:17 me pictures of that
1:09:19 model on a
1:09:22 beach in the Caribbean
1:09:24 at Sunset with the sun shining through
1:09:28 the waves in the
1:09:34 background is there a limit to IM Dolly
1:09:37 image generation on the paid version I
1:09:39 I've heard people that have have gotten
1:09:42 the you're using it too much message I
1:09:45 don't know how much it
1:09:46 is I think that I think that the last
1:09:50 thing I saw chat bt4 it's something like
1:09:53 50
1:09:55 50 Generations every 3 hours or
1:09:58 something like that I I haven't really
1:10:00 hit it I
1:10:01 mean this stuff is is good enough for
1:10:05 the most part that if I if I do two or
1:10:07 three iterations on an idea I've got
1:10:09 something I can
1:10:10 use I'm mind blown right now literally
1:10:13 fubsy I'm I'm why do you think I keep
1:10:16 doing this channel this is like every
1:10:19 night for me like even though even when
1:10:20 I'm showing stuff that I've done a
1:10:22 hundred times before
1:10:25 I I keep having this sneaking suspicion
1:10:28 that it's not going to work this time
1:10:29 and then it just [ __ ] works look at
1:10:33 these I mean come
1:10:36 on I mean it made him or her but that's
1:10:39 all
1:10:40 right she needs a burger this that that
1:10:44 one needs a burger but but that's
1:10:47 nice look at
1:10:49 that
1:10:53 beautiful
1:10:54 and now you could say
1:10:58 um great I like that imagery but I'd
1:11:01 really like these to be rendered as much
1:11:05 more of a rough fashion
1:11:08 sketch can you give me these four Images
1:11:11 but in that new
1:11:14 style let's see what it does with that
1:11:16 it it should do pretty good with this oh
1:11:19 we'll do one other thing
1:11:21 here that's going to blow you away
1:11:24 Bing browser also Dolly to generate
1:11:26 images on demand oh yeah um if you go to
1:11:30 bing.com go to chat. bing.com for
1:11:33 basically free chat gbt 4 and if you go
1:11:36 to bing.com create that's also dolly3
1:11:39 it's not in this sort of you you can
1:11:42 do in in Bing chat you can do in context
1:11:46 image generation but it's got so many
1:11:48 safety guard rails around it I find it
1:11:50 really unusable but but if if you can't
1:11:54 pay the 20 bucks for chat GPT Bing is
1:11:57 free and it's it's also using Dolly
1:12:04 3 I can't imagine the computing power
1:12:07 required to handle requests like this
1:12:09 from hundreds of people yeah Sam Alman
1:12:11 said um Tik Tok therapy Sam Alman said
1:12:15 that the um oh these are great that
1:12:19 the compute costs for uh chat T 3.5 that
1:12:25 when they first launched it he said they
1:12:27 were eye watering um over the it was
1:12:29 funny over the summer um there were
1:12:32 there was an article in a in a in uh I
1:12:35 think it was a Chinese newspaper or
1:12:39 maybe it was European I don't remember
1:12:40 but basically it was saying chat gpts
1:12:43 spending $700,000 a day in compute
1:12:47 cost and then it predicted that they
1:12:49 would be out of money by
1:12:50 2024 and then and then like 2 weeks
1:12:53 later um it came out that um open AI was
1:12:57 on a billion doll a year Revenue run
1:12:59 rate so 700 Grand a day worked out to
1:13:03 about $220 million maybe 250 something
1:13:06 like that and and Sam mman like a a
1:13:10 month ago basically said they've hit 1.3
1:13:12 billion in Revenue they haven't even
1:13:14 started their Enterprise sales yet
1:13:16 they're they're doing just fine but yeah
1:13:18 it's it's a [ __ ]
1:13:20 fortune oh look at that one with the
1:13:22 pencils how cool is that
1:13:25 that's super
1:13:27 cool uh uh uh uh open image in new
1:13:32 tab oh it just downloaded
1:13:40 [Music]
1:13:45 it look at
1:13:47 that look how cool that I I mean like
1:13:51 seconds [ __ ] seconds
1:13:59 I always wanted to be a fashion designer
1:14:00 but I'm not good at drawing all right
1:14:02 just go describe it
1:14:07 now just go just go tell it your
1:14:09 brilliant [ __ ]
1:14:11 ideas oh you know be fun no Kyle what
1:14:14 why don't you tell us it's your channel
1:14:17 stop asking us questions we can't
1:14:19 respond you [ __ ] weirdo all right
1:14:23 I'll tell you what it be
1:14:24 fun all right we are going to do what
1:14:27 are we going to
1:14:29 do this is going to be
1:14:32 fun let's let's do um um
1:14:36 fun
1:14:39 fashion from
1:14:45 2023 all right I'm going to do this
1:14:51 one save image as
1:14:56 fine
1:14:59 save all right so it's kind of a little
1:15:02 this one here a little short dress with
1:15:05 boots and kind of a white hat kind of
1:15:08 thing and
1:15:09 [Music]
1:15:12 then let's do something really
1:15:15 different
1:15:17 um okay this one we'll do this crazy
1:15:20 jumpsuit okay so here's crazy jumpsuit
1:15:23 we do save
1:15:25 as save image
1:15:29 as all right and now we're going to go
1:15:31 back to chat J pay
1:15:38 T going to go new chat we're going to go
1:15:42 to default mode again if if if one of
1:15:44 your questions is but Kyle why is image
1:15:47 upload completely separate from image
1:15:49 generation that's a really good question
1:15:51 if you know Sam Altman you should call
1:15:53 call him right now and ask him that very
1:15:55 question this seems dumb to me I assume
1:15:58 it's got to do with lawyers from
1:16:00 Microsoft but that's just me being
1:16:02 cynical
1:16:06 okay so we're going to upload two
1:16:10 images and so they were both for women
1:16:12 so one was this little jumper the the
1:16:15 little overalls and one was cute little
1:16:17 dress with little booties so what I'm
1:16:19 going to say now
1:16:22 is
1:16:25 I'd like you
1:16:27 to look at these two fashion
1:16:31 designs and describe a hybrid
1:16:37 design between the best elements of each
1:16:41 image but describe them for men instead
1:16:46 of
1:16:50 women so so so what what I'm what I'm
1:16:53 trying to do here is let's see if we can
1:16:56 actually create a hybrid fashion you
1:16:59 know inspired by women's wear for men's
1:17:04 fashion okay oh so now so what it's
1:17:06 doing right now first image color
1:17:08 vibrant blue with white contrasting
1:17:10 panels material it appears to be smooth
1:17:12 perhaps satin-like
1:17:14 second image hybrid design for men okay
1:17:17 so this is
1:17:22 great
1:17:28 stylish
1:17:30 Buckle all right so it's describing all
1:17:37 that I'd like you also to give the three
1:17:41 looks a name worthy of a glossy fashion
1:17:46 magazine for marketing
1:17:52 purposes so not only are we going to
1:17:55 design cool [ __ ]
1:17:57 fashion Azure Allure the satin Odyssey
1:18:01 Kaleidoscope Couture Mosaic Mirage
1:18:04 Fusion finesse okay I'm going to
1:18:07 say those are a little overly clever can
1:18:11 you make names that Anna wintor wouldn't
1:18:14 vomit
1:18:19 on now Kyle make the same character over
1:18:22 and over again in different scenarios as
1:18:25 in story booking um I can I'll try that
1:18:29 uh what did I see I know there's a way
1:18:32 to do it there there's a there's a
1:18:33 clever way to do it but I forget what it
1:18:35 is right now Azure Elegance Mosaic Muse
1:18:38 Urban Fusion okay great so now I'm going
1:18:41 to copy all this this is the the the
1:18:44 wild thing about
1:18:47 um being able to generate images in the
1:18:50 context of chat
1:18:52 GPT is
1:18:54 is
1:18:57 um it's inside the conversation so so
1:19:00 like you don't have to you don't you
1:19:01 don't have to describe the imagery you
1:19:04 you just can talk about the elements of
1:19:07 of in this case fashion so I'm going to
1:19:10 say
1:19:11 um you're a world class fashion
1:19:14 designer
1:19:17 and specialize
1:19:20 in high-end men's fashion
1:19:28 below are some
1:19:30 descriptions of two pieces of women's
1:19:34 wear
1:19:36 and the description of men's wear
1:19:38 inspired by them I'd like you
1:19:42 to show me four different designs that
1:19:47 bring the men's concept to
1:19:52 life and then I'm going to
1:20:01 paste all right and then I just pasted
1:20:03 in all that crap and so again it's going
1:20:06 to read all that interpret all
1:20:11 that oh I'm a loser hang on I didn't
1:20:15 switch
1:20:17 modes so if you don't switch modes
1:20:19 you're you're a loser baby why don't
1:20:23 shum me yeah all right new chat sorry
1:20:27 got to go over to Dolly 3 that's the one
1:20:29 that makes images you see how stupid
1:20:31 this is dear Sam Alman hi my name is
1:20:35 Kyle I have this channel called AI
1:20:38 learning lab I'm neuro atypical and so
1:20:41 are all my friends we did want to wonder
1:20:44 Mr Sam
1:20:45 Alman why can your image C technology
1:20:49 not be used with your image do
1:20:51 technology it makes no sense Mr Sam mman
1:20:54 please please tell
1:20:59 us okay now we're making
1:21:03 images I just had chat GPT gp4 generated
1:21:07 a description of an image of a woman who
1:21:09 made it through a tough time oh that's
1:21:11 super cool chat generate a description
1:21:14 yeah and Becky you could now take that
1:21:18 image into Dolly 3 and
1:21:24 and uh yeah and make the and make the
1:21:26 images I'm also thinking right now when
1:21:29 this generates these images we'll take
1:21:31 the best one here and then I'll take the
1:21:34 prompt that it wrote so Dolly 3 right
1:21:36 now is writing prompts and now it's
1:21:37 generating the
1:21:39 images we'll take the the the the design
1:21:42 we like best and
1:21:45 then we'll it's still going are you
1:21:49 going to make me images where's my
1:21:51 images I asked you for imagees okay
1:21:53 there we
1:21:56 are oops and it didn't do
1:22:10 one all right so let's just
1:22:13 go I don't like the style I want this to
1:22:17 be high-end photographic as if it were
1:22:21 taken on the runway and I want the
1:22:23 aspect ratio of the image to be
1:22:26 tall
1:22:28 and I just want one instance of the
1:22:32 Fashion on a
1:22:34 Model all right let's get some better
1:22:38 images can you do the Reddit thing you
1:22:40 mentioned earlier yeah I will let me let
1:22:42 me do that so here here's what we'll do
1:22:44 hold hold me honest
1:22:45 Barbara I'm going to hopefully get an
1:22:48 image we like here I'm going to take the
1:22:50 prompt that Dolly 3 wrote
1:22:53 over to Mid journey and then we can
1:22:55 compare the
1:22:56 quality and then I'll come back and I'll
1:22:58 do this thing called um what's it called
1:23:02 Dolly round tripping what did I call it
1:23:04 I think it's Dolly round tripping or
1:23:05 something like that and it's what it
1:23:07 sounds like it's it's it's a really cool
1:23:09 idea it's kind of what we're doing now
1:23:10 but taking it a step further all right
1:23:13 that's [ __ ]
1:23:14 beautiful not for nothing wait wait wait
1:23:19 but Kyle we are waiting we're here you
1:23:21 don't you don't need to panic dude we're
1:23:23 we're okay we're going to we're going to
1:23:24 be all right so we took that
1:23:27 image and that
1:23:30 image for women we had Dolly see those
1:23:35 images describe the fashion create a new
1:23:40 describe a new fashion for men and it
1:23:42 created
1:23:44 that come on
1:23:46 people this is [ __ ] nuts okay so I'm
1:23:49 going to click here so now over here is
1:23:52 the prompt that it wrote tall photo of a
1:23:54 runway model showcasing a high-end men's
1:23:56 fashion look the model wears a vibrant
1:23:58 blue satin-like shirt with a single a
1:24:00 symmetrical Patchwork which it did so
1:24:02 we're going to copy this I know Sher D
1:24:04 isn't this cool amazing I'm on my phone
1:24:07 I'm about to head over to the giant
1:24:09 monitor in my office oh my god Becky
1:24:11 ruse down the rabbit
1:24:15 hole it is my joy in life when people
1:24:17 sort of lose themselves in this stuff
1:24:20 holy [ __ ] says fubby fubsy isn't that
1:24:24 good fubsy did I I don't know if you
1:24:26 knew this maybe I didn't say this before
1:24:28 uh I've been a fashion designer for 30
1:24:31 years I I just it's I don't like to brag
1:24:34 about it just it's because all those
1:24:35 trips to Paris um you know we did a lot
1:24:39 of Coke in the 80s it's it's just it's
1:24:42 you know listen it's fashion huh what
1:24:45 are you going to do people don't want to
1:24:46 get tubby I I clearly don't do Coke
1:24:49 anymore
1:24:51 anyway okay so we're going to take the
1:24:53 prompt that made this image for Del now
1:24:55 we're going to go over to Mid journey
1:24:56 and I'll show you the [ __ ] show that is
1:24:58 mid Journey okay so to make mid Journey
1:25:02 images you have to be in Discord this is
1:25:04 Discord these are all different servers
1:25:07 and then I'm in this is the AI Salon
1:25:09 server that I mentioned before so in
1:25:10 here we've got a thing called mid
1:25:12 Journey play so these are just some
1:25:15 images that other people have made in
1:25:17 here so how do you make images in mid
1:25:20 Journey I'm glad you asked let me tell
1:25:22 you first you learn the command line
1:25:24 interface you type in slash
1:25:28 imagine and you can click on this if you
1:25:30 type if you know to type slash imagine
1:25:32 and then you have to type in a prompt so
1:25:34 I'm going to put the prompt there but
1:25:35 I'm going to put Das Das
1:25:38 AR 2 colon 3 but Kyle by pray tell what
1:25:43 does-- ar2 colon 3 mean I'm glad you
1:25:47 asked it means um what does it mean
1:25:51 um aspect ratio is the AR and then 2 to
1:25:55 three is the is the actual aspect ratio
1:25:58 and you got to know this [ __ ] so so you
1:25:59 basically need to know a lot of commands
1:26:01 here to do it well but I didn't have to
1:26:04 write that prompt because chat GPT wrote
1:26:06 it or do wrote it whatever someone wrote
1:26:08 it that wasn't
1:26:09 us but now now what we should see is
1:26:12 we'll see the image comparison
1:26:16 between Del which quite frankly that's
1:26:19 not bad like his face looks pretty good
1:26:22 that's looking that's looking pretty
1:26:24 outrageously good I got to say that
1:26:26 that's better than I expected it to be I
1:26:29 mean considering what what the images
1:26:31 were before like look at these pieces of
1:26:33 [ __ ] like those are embarrassingly
1:26:37 bad although you know
1:26:40 what I mean seriously if if I were a
1:26:43 designer at fit and I could I could
1:26:46 render a sketch like that i' I'd be
1:26:48 doing all right but if that then turned
1:26:51 into this
1:26:54 yeah that's pretty
1:26:57 something all right so here's mid
1:27:01 Journey um they're not as vibrant
1:27:03 actually but let's take this one that's
1:27:06 kind of close to it and so so in mid
1:27:08 Journey now you've got U one through 4
1:27:11 and V one through 4 so this is 1 2 3 4 u
1:27:15 means upscale so basically I'm going to
1:27:17 say I want to make this one
1:27:19 bigger and then why don't
1:27:21 we this one's kind of interesting so
1:27:24 we're going to do variations on four and
1:27:26 we're GNA so we're going to upscale
1:27:27 three so bang you click on upscale three
1:27:30 and then I'm going to click on V4
1:27:32 variations on four so that's going to
1:27:34 take that fourth image and give me four
1:27:37 different variations on
1:27:44 it what's a good verbiage to have D3
1:27:48 zoom out or to have more area around the
1:27:50 subject Tobias I don't I don't know if
1:27:52 you've got Photoshop or not but um
1:27:55 either um you can go
1:28:00 to what the [ __ ] it called uh clip
1:28:03 drop not is it clip drop yeah wait hang
1:28:07 on
1:28:08 um I think it's clip
1:28:13 drop yeah clipd drop.
1:28:17 Co and then go to the uncrop tool so
1:28:22 basically take your image out of Del go
1:28:25 to clipd drop. use the uncropped tool or
1:28:28 go to photoshop and use generative fill
1:28:31 or generative expand I think they call
1:28:32 it
1:28:34 now all right so what do we got here so
1:28:37 here's our there's our large mid Journey
1:28:39 image with my horrifically dirty
1:28:44 screen
1:28:47 wait so there's that and let's see it
1:28:50 compared to
1:28:53 DOI I think do kicks the [ __ ] out of it
1:28:59 actually but whatever they're both good
1:29:03 like hands are not bad face is good
1:29:06 there's no Third
1:29:08 Leg they buried his hands so they're
1:29:12 fine um not bad
1:29:16 okay oh
1:29:17 wait wait wait wait we also had we had
1:29:20 to do variations of this other one
1:29:23 all right here's the variations of
1:29:25 that so I think that bottom one is
1:29:28 probably the probably the
1:29:30 one with the dark
1:29:33 shirt so I would do upscale four and
1:29:37 then that'll make that one nice and big
1:29:40 Fine Arts
1:29:42 me Ted looks at life you're the best
1:29:45 look at this he did hang on this is
1:29:47 awesome here we'll flip
1:29:50 these I was talking earlier about um
1:29:54 different levels of art there's art
1:29:55 that's just it just needs to be good
1:29:57 enough so we've got Ted made um Fine
1:30:02 Arts
1:30:04 Museum good enough Art Museum that's
1:30:07 [ __ ]
1:30:11 genius oh man you guys are nuts yeah
1:30:14 nuts I tell you I like it that's really
1:30:17 funny Museum of
1:30:20 AI what's that
1:30:23 the robots are killing us that's
1:30:25 actually a good image I don't know who
1:30:27 did that who did this is that lunar
1:30:30 stick oh that's forever hooked look at
1:30:31 that one that's cool the robots are
1:30:33 killing us the caption
1:30:35 says amazing that's
1:30:41 beautiful
1:30:43 okay so let's see all right here's our
1:30:46 big image let's go look at
1:30:50 it that is tacky that you know what that
1:30:52 looks like what's upscale do oh so yeah
1:30:55 this is a big
1:30:56 deal okay
1:30:58 um this looks like Eddie Murphy's raw
1:31:02 raw outfit and it's also look it's got a
1:31:05 weird he's got a tie here that just
1:31:07 Blends into his shirt like it's a tie
1:31:09 until about there and then it's just
1:31:12 shirt um but so mid journey two days ago
1:31:16 added upscale 2X and upscale
1:31:20 4X so if I up scale this to 4X it it
1:31:24 makes this basically print quality for
1:31:27 like up to 13 in or something like that
1:31:30 I think it cost you I don't know four
1:31:33 credits or whatever I don't know what
1:31:34 their currency is at Mid journey I don't
1:31:36 I don't I rarely use mid Journey anymore
1:31:38 because it's such a wonky horrible
1:31:43 experience the problem is if you want
1:31:45 just better quality better consistent
1:31:48 high quality art mid journey is the way
1:31:50 to go but I I can't for the life of me I
1:31:53 can't imagine not working like I work in
1:31:57 do in chat GPT right now where I can
1:31:59 just talk to it and say go make me
1:32:02 pitches and it does and then I'm like no
1:32:04 I don't like those make them better and
1:32:05 it does and it doesn't [ __ ] and it
1:32:08 doesn't moan it doesn't whine we'll come
1:32:10 back to that and look at that all right
1:32:11 let's do this round tripping thing all
1:32:13 right so what we're going to
1:32:17 do let's
1:32:19 go let's go find an image of something
1:32:23 um you know what we'll do let's go to
1:32:25 the
1:32:26 Discord we'll go to show and
1:32:30 tell and let's grab one of Luna stick's
1:32:34 images here that one looks like Bambi's
1:32:36 in trouble this one looks like Bambi's
1:32:39 in a little idilic
1:32:41 scene so I'm going to
1:32:46 do save
1:32:50 image save it to down downloads is fine
1:32:54 oh I might need to change it to uh JPEG
1:32:58 but
1:32:58 whatever all right we're going to go
1:33:00 back to chat JP so this this thing
1:33:03 called do Dolly round tripping I think
1:33:06 that's the term if someone if if that's
1:33:09 the wrong term and I'm saying it wrong
1:33:11 just someone yell at me or troll me and
1:33:13 just call me like a ridiculous elderly
1:33:18 geriatric trying desperately to teach
1:33:20 other old people technology something
1:33:23 like that would be great
1:33:27 um I'm that cute the elderly teaching
1:33:30 each other how to use
1:33:32 computers yeah you a little jenzy
1:33:37 punk um I built the [ __ ] internet
1:33:40 you're
1:33:42 using son of a [ __ ] um what am I doing
1:33:46 oh Dolly round tripping
1:33:49 so we're going to go to default mode so
1:33:52 we're going to go to chat GPT 4 we're
1:33:53 going to go to GPT Vision so the little
1:33:55 upload an image oh wait I like that one
1:33:57 better Sherry D just did one Sherry D I
1:34:01 like the Bambi with the flowers I feel
1:34:04 like the flowers are going to do
1:34:05 something wait hang on wait oh wait you
1:34:08 know what we'll do both of them this is
1:34:10 good okay so we got Bambi by
1:34:13 water and we got Bambi by flowers with a
1:34:15 drone over its
1:34:17 head that's really disturbing it's good
1:34:20 this is solid I'm I'm like where this is
1:34:22 going okay so we're going to get those
1:34:24 two
1:34:25 images and I think you can upload up to
1:34:27 four Images so let's go get us some
1:34:31 bambies there's Bambi one nope there's
1:34:35 Bambi two okay there's our
1:34:37 bambies boom in come the
1:34:41 bambies so now we're g to go
1:34:46 [Applause]
1:34:48 um what's
1:34:50 happening
1:34:52 create a
1:34:54 description of an
1:34:58 image that captures as many
1:35:02 details from each of these
1:35:05 images and creates an interesting
1:35:09 composition that's a hybrid of the
1:35:12 two all
1:35:20 right
1:35:26 [Music]
1:35:32 Gen X is actually killing it in the AI
1:35:34 game Absolutely I'll tell you my theory
1:35:36 on it what's your name Hugh story
1:35:38 houster that's a cool name houst oh
1:35:41 houster 101 uh 10 out of 10 on the name
1:35:44 clever memorable [ __ ] love it houster
1:35:47 101 solid
1:35:50 okay here's my theory on
1:35:55 it gen
1:35:58 xers are the ones that for the most part
1:36:01 kind of discovered and figured out how
1:36:04 to do this worldwide web thing when the
1:36:05 worldwide web came
1:36:07 out remember it was like all the Boomers
1:36:10 were were on AOL and Compu serve and
1:36:13 [ __ ] like that and we were kind of a
1:36:14 little bit younger and a little bit
1:36:16 hipper and then we were doing the web
1:36:19 stuff right I think gen xers recognize
1:36:23 AI as the next web I think that's part
1:36:27 of it the other thing is I think gen xer
1:36:30 is just by the sheer fact we've been on
1:36:32 the planet for so [ __ ] long that when
1:36:36 AI generates stuff like I I experienced
1:36:39 this where I can really quickly go
1:36:41 that's [ __ ] that's good that's
1:36:43 [ __ ] that's good like I feel like my
1:36:44 ability to curate what AI generates is
1:36:47 super elevated just because I've seen
1:36:49 [ __ ] um but you know we can still
1:36:53 navigate a computer so I I think I think
1:36:56 that's what's going on with it all right
1:36:58 so we have this description amidst the
1:36:59 breath breath breath Jesus breathtaking
1:37:03 landscape undulating Golden Hills so
1:37:05 we're going to copy that
1:37:06 description I'm going to go to gp4
1:37:09 dolly3 and I'm going to
1:37:13 say
1:37:15 um please generate a landscape oriented
1:37:19 image based on this description
1:37:24 [Music]
1:37:26 so there's our description now we're
1:37:28 going to go make this and so the round
1:37:30 tripping new idea in the realm of kids
1:37:32 AI learning my 8-year-old hates
1:37:35 writing so I'm experiment with letting
1:37:37 him write prompts in chat
1:37:39 GPT as an incentive so what's your name
1:37:43 um rich1
1:37:45 14370 [ __ ] love it first of all love
1:37:48 it love
1:37:50 it I'll show you we I'll do a couple of
1:37:53 round trips with this image and then and
1:37:55 then we'll come um I'm going to come
1:37:57 back to you because um I'm going to show
1:38:00 wait it's like magic for him to see the
1:38:02 whole thing he wrote just appear so if
1:38:04 you don't have um if you don't have
1:38:07 chipt plus and this do this stuff that
1:38:09 I'm doing right now like it's magical
1:38:11 seeing it show up in words it's well I
1:38:14 mean you're experiencing it right now
1:38:15 it's just [ __ ] magic watching it come
1:38:17 out in
1:38:18 images but I'm also going to show you
1:38:20 how I'm going to go over to PO and I'm
1:38:22 going to show you how to make a bot a
1:38:23 robot so he can make his own bot using a
1:38:27 prompt all right so here's our
1:38:31 images there's the Drone that's pretty
1:38:34 cool oh that's beautiful drone in the
1:38:38 sky I don't know what that thing is down
1:38:44 there huh they're all pretty good I
1:38:47 think that one's let's take that most
1:38:49 dramatic one all right so now I'm going
1:38:51 to save save this image back out to my
1:38:54 hard
1:38:55 drive so it's on
1:38:58 desktop and now I'm going to do a new
1:39:01 chat and I'm going to do a
1:39:04 new default chat and now we're going to
1:39:08 bring in that
1:39:11 image that's it and now now I'm just
1:39:15 going to say simply describe
1:39:20 this
1:39:28 fsy this is amazing isn't
1:39:30 it I know I know yeah I don't know po
1:39:35 thanks all right good yeah we'll do
1:39:37 po
1:39:39 um because the other thing that you
1:39:41 could do here is you could you could
1:39:43 start to do Styles shifting right so so
1:39:47 we you could do a couple of rounds here
1:39:49 of it just describing what it sees and
1:39:51 go create create that and describe it
1:39:52 and create it but what you could also do
1:39:55 is say um describe this but describe it
1:39:58 as if it's a watercolor painting or
1:40:00 describe it as if it's uh as if the
1:40:03 sunflowers were were mammals I like you
1:40:07 know I mean you you could start [ __ ]
1:40:09 with it where where you don't have all
1:40:11 you have to do is come up with a concept
1:40:14 and let it do the work I mean that's the
1:40:17 thing that's blowing me away about this
1:40:18 is
1:40:20 is you know for for the past year what
1:40:24 what what everyone that's known anything
1:40:25 about AI has been talking about is well
1:40:27 we all got to become prompt Engineers
1:40:29 which I always [ __ ] hated that term
1:40:31 anyway prompt engineer it's like what
1:40:34 why don't you make it even more
1:40:35 intimidating first of all people don't
1:40:36 know what prompts are and then you call
1:40:38 it prompt engineering uh no thanks I'm
1:40:41 good I'll just sit over here being
1:40:43 clueless in the corner prompt crafting
1:40:46 I'm I'm down with but but this future
1:40:50 what's happening right now this is the
1:40:53 future right where these tools are going
1:40:55 to take over
1:40:56 increasingly higher levels of thinky
1:41:01 work and we can just be like the art
1:41:03 director the creative director so okay
1:41:07 there's our image
1:41:10 description and so now we're going to
1:41:13 pop into a new do
1:41:16 chat and we're going to
1:41:18 say create this
1:41:21 as a
1:41:24 landcape
1:41:27 oriented image why am I saying that
1:41:29 because if I didn't it would probably
1:41:31 make it Square it just defaults to
1:41:34 square so you can tell it I made a bot
1:41:37 and Poe yesterday helps people in
1:41:39 addiction recovery okay but limited yeah
1:41:42 so Tik Tock therapy that's great you you
1:41:44 were in here asking about that I would
1:41:46 just keep messing with it just keep keep
1:41:48 experimenting with it even even if it's
1:41:50 limited you can add additional I think
1:41:52 it it might have limits to how much
1:41:54 prompt you can put in there but you
1:41:56 could put in you know examples of things
1:41:59 to say examples of things not to say
1:42:01 things like that so I would say you know
1:42:03 do do version two and three and four um
1:42:08 uh you know of that bot making a bot
1:42:11 sounds awesome he bought brought home
1:42:13 coding tools uh for a kids book on
1:42:16 scratch so the interest is definitely
1:42:18 there oh no I'm going to show you how to
1:42:19 make these Bots there's no coding
1:42:21 required po po makes it incredibly easy
1:42:24 to make Bots it's
1:42:26 amazing that's that's why I want to do
1:42:28 it because it's like the Poots are
1:42:31 basically just bringing your prompts to
1:42:34 life in a way that you can share with
1:42:36 other people like he'll be able to take
1:42:38 one of his prompts turn it into a bot
1:42:40 and share it with his
1:42:42 friends all right oh that's cool wow so
1:42:48 we still have the Drone now we have an
1:42:49 eagle and now we have an it's Bambi's
1:42:52 turned into a full-on elk or mule
1:42:56 deer now we have a dancing lady a drone
1:42:59 and
1:43:01 amazing um what's that called Step
1:43:06 farming all right let's do this one all
1:43:08 right so now we have this dancing lady
1:43:09 okay so now we're going to save this
1:43:11 image we'll do one more of these because
1:43:13 this is really cool um so I'm going to
1:43:15 save this now we close this
1:43:18 out now I'll do new chat now we'll go
1:43:21 back to default mode dear Sam mman
1:43:23 please roll these modes together this is
1:43:26 stupid that I have to keep jumping back
1:43:28 and forth thank you Mr Alman you're
1:43:31 awesome I'm impressed with what you've
1:43:33 built it's going to change the world hey
1:43:36 could you make this suck less please I
1:43:38 know it's doing literal Miracles every
1:43:41 10 seconds and it probably cost you
1:43:43 personally $37 every time I do this but
1:43:46 could you fix it so I'm less
1:43:49 bothered um describe this
1:43:54 that's how people act when you have
1:43:55 software they're just like yeah I I
1:43:58 understand that it's doing truly
1:43:59 miraculous stuff could you make it suck
1:44:03 less I'm slightly inconvenience this is
1:44:06 annoying to
1:44:07 [Laughter]
1:44:10 me oh lordy lordy lordy lordy lordy the
1:44:16 person has captured mid dive creating
1:44:18 ripples as they Plunge Into The Still
1:44:20 Water oh this is going to be good so
1:44:22 she's not mid dive here here she's it
1:44:24 looks like she's been dropped from the
1:44:27 Drone so this this next image should be
1:44:30 pretty
1:44:32 sweet all right do one more of these and
1:44:36 then we'll go make a poot Dolly
1:44:41 3 uh create this
1:44:45 image in
1:44:48 landcape orientation
1:44:55 shift and then we're going we're going
1:44:57 we're going oh yeah it's fantastic Hey
1:45:00 listen listen let me tell you something
1:45:03 hey I was working on the internet the
1:45:05 other day and you know what I was
1:45:06 thinking computer should be able to do
1:45:09 you should be able to just tell it hey
1:45:11 could you make me a picture of a a paps
1:45:13 blue ribbon and then it just makes you
1:45:15 one it should do that it can do that now
1:45:18 no it can't no it can do that now since
1:45:22 when uh since like last Tuesday no yeah
1:45:28 no make it make a past Blue Ribbon oh my
1:45:32 God it could make it past Blue Ribbon
1:45:35 could it make a duck yeah I can make a
1:45:38 duck my long-term work AI project is
1:45:42 figuring out how to build a personal AI
1:45:44 to manage marketing CS for computers oh
1:45:48 that's super cool love it that's great
1:45:51 that is super cool Becky Ru I'm hooked
1:45:54 sorry
1:45:55 Becky you know you shouldn't have come
1:45:57 come back here you know I was going to
1:45:59 get you at some
1:46:01 point I'm telling you this this dolly
1:46:04 inside chat GPT is it really you know
1:46:07 what Becky I I'll tell you
1:46:09 what it it doesn't surprise me at all
1:46:11 that you're like you're kind of
1:46:13 discovering This and like holy crap I'm
1:46:14 hooked now this is a completely
1:46:16 different thing this stuff that we're
1:46:18 doing here where it's like describe an
1:46:20 image and then use that as a prompt to
1:46:22 make an image and then just all of this
1:46:24 stuff what what you said you know I want
1:46:26 to describe a woman who's who's been
1:46:28 through some stuff it like just the fact
1:46:31 that you can essentially say to what you
1:46:35 would say to an art director or to a
1:46:37 creative director at an agency and then
1:46:40 have them go spend you know a bunch of
1:46:42 money and three weeks or a month or 3
1:46:46 months you know doing that photography
1:46:48 and now you can just knock out these
1:46:50 Concepts like this it is just
1:46:52 fundamentally a different
1:46:55 thing so here's our thing oh that one's
1:46:58 beautiful with the water Al although it
1:47:00 looks like her friend just splashed in
1:47:03 here and she's about to it looks like
1:47:05 they they both got kicked out of the
1:47:06 Drone
1:47:07 together there he's sort of diving
1:47:09 there's three drones
1:47:11 now but see how it's starting to get
1:47:13 surreal and you know I I could see you
1:47:15 really pushing this and and and this is
1:47:18 you know the other thing that's love
1:47:20 this channel thanks brain wave Pro
1:47:21 appreciate it the you know the other
1:47:23 thing
1:47:25 um the other thing happening here is I I
1:47:29 hear I hear a lot and I hear this less
1:47:32 lately which is good I get that sort of
1:47:35 defensive yeah but AI can't be creative
1:47:38 only humans can be creative uh I'm sorry
1:47:41 this is pretty [ __ ] creative I don't
1:47:43 think I would have come up with this
1:47:46 concept how did we get there I don't
1:47:48 know I took two pictures of bambies and
1:47:51 what's it been 10 minutes few back and
1:47:54 forths and we just this weird surreal
1:47:57 kind of mythical
1:48:00 place that could serve as a location in
1:48:03 a
1:48:05 movie you know we can take this image
1:48:07 and make this into a video right do you
1:48:10 know that you want to see that we're
1:48:12 going to go make a poot but let's do
1:48:14 this I think I'm going to do the one
1:48:16 before this CU it was more
1:48:19 elegant all right
1:48:21 so now we're going to
1:48:23 go I'm going to somehow email these
1:48:26 photos to you I'm in shock that I did
1:48:28 this yeah please email away yeah
1:48:31 absolutely um just right click on them
1:48:33 and you can save them which app is this
1:48:35 one what we're using right now is just
1:48:37 chat
1:48:38 GPT um with Del so this is what's making
1:48:43 the images inside chat gbt so what I'm
1:48:46 doing I'm doing a thing called Dolly
1:48:47 round tripping where I started with
1:48:49 images I started with two images and I
1:48:52 had it describe those images in default
1:48:54 mode you can upload images in that mode
1:48:57 and then I had it describe the image
1:48:58 then I went here and had it make that
1:49:00 image then I took that image and had it
1:49:03 describe that image then I took that
1:49:04 description and had it make that image
1:49:07 and I'm just going back and forth that's
1:49:08 called Dolly round
1:49:10 tripping um but now we're going to go to
1:49:13 a thing called
1:49:18 runwayml which is a video generation
1:49:22 tool and you can generate a video from a
1:49:25 still image so see this bring your
1:49:28 images to life with video start with
1:49:30 image so we just did some round
1:49:33 tripping and we're going to up upload a
1:49:36 file we're going to go to desktop I
1:49:38 think it's
1:49:39 on oh and it's in that stupid ass file
1:49:42 format so let me go fix that this is
1:49:44 some of the geeky [ __ ] you got to deal
1:49:47 with that's the one so I'm going to open
1:49:50 open that and now I'm going to export
1:49:53 this as a
1:49:55 JPEG you're like Kyle how do you know
1:49:57 this I used to do desktop publishing for
1:49:59 years this is just the my company
1:50:01 storyvine why it exists is I got so
1:50:04 [ __ ] sick of video codecs and video
1:50:06 formats and resolutions and like I just
1:50:09 want to make a two-minute video could it
1:50:10 not be a [ __ ] master class in film
1:50:12 making NOP it can't you have to be a
1:50:14 master filmmaker and so my company Story
1:50:17 vine exists because of my ADD because I
1:50:21 was not willing to [ __ ] learn that
1:50:23 nonsense to make a two-minute video back
1:50:26 to the it just needs to be good enough
1:50:28 that Story vine is is a master class in
1:50:32 good enough video that's that's the the
1:50:35 technology okay so we have our our
1:50:37 little jumping lady in our crazy
1:50:40 thing let's see we're going to do camera
1:50:42 motion and we're going to zoom
1:50:45 in we're going to do a speed of
1:50:49 seven
1:50:54 and do I want to go
1:50:57 down yeah so we're going to go we're
1:51:01 going to have the camera pan down so the
1:51:04 way this works here's your image and
1:51:05 then there's this control box it's like
1:51:07 it's like you're a film director so you
1:51:09 can say what's the speed of the
1:51:11 movement is the camera panning left or
1:51:14 right up or down so I'm going to have it
1:51:16 zoom into that image and pan
1:51:18 down and we're going to set save that
1:51:21 and now we're going to generate a 4C
1:51:25 clip based on that image and it'll take
1:51:28 I don't know 2 minutes something like
1:51:38 that wait where do I have to
1:51:48 come oh okay you I got
1:51:53 [Music]
1:52:03 it oh y'all are making some cool images
1:52:06 is this done yet 51% I'll be with you I
1:52:10 know can the user request a specific
1:52:13 number of images to be made from one
1:52:15 prompt or upload of an image um I I
1:52:19 think you can I I think the max is four
1:52:22 but it might not be I I honestly don't
1:52:24 know all the image generation tools kind
1:52:26 of default to four so let's watch our
1:52:29 video so now we got a video so
1:52:32 let's make this full screen can we why
1:52:36 is it not let me make it full screen
1:52:37 there we go all right let's see how bad
1:52:39 this is sometimes these are pretty
1:52:44 bad what's going on I want to see my
1:52:49 movie
1:52:52 okay that was really
1:52:56 bad it's not even close I mean it looks
1:52:59 like a nice cut from that scene to you
1:53:03 know the person in the water with some
1:53:04 sort of
1:53:07 spaceship yeah the coherence on these
1:53:09 video things is not quite there yet but
1:53:11 whatever I might have screwed that up
1:53:12 with my
1:53:14 Zooms in fact Let me let me turn off
1:53:18 zooming and let me turn speed down
1:53:23 to six
1:53:27 reset yeah all right let's generate this
1:53:31 don't you hack me don't you hack me
1:53:34 don't you do
1:53:35 [Laughter]
1:53:40 it Robert Rossy thank you for the donut
1:53:43 I appreciate the contributions makes a
1:53:46 big difference it does it does I tell
1:53:48 you thank you so much
1:53:51 oh hey Mark oh
1:53:55 [Music]
1:53:59 hi what's the name of that website again
1:54:01 I don't know which one all right please
1:54:05 have this not suck as much there we go
1:54:08 oh that's kind of cool look at
1:54:16 that I'll take
1:54:19 that
1:54:20 I don't know what the ship flying
1:54:22 through the air is but it doesn't really
1:54:23 matter does
1:54:27 it you know how long it would take to
1:54:29 animate
1:54:32 this yeah but it's not
1:54:36 perfect all right let's go make a bot
1:54:38 the bot's going to seem really boring
1:54:42 now all right let's see we're going to
1:54:44 go to po.com I hope the I hope the dude
1:54:48 that was working with his kid is still
1:54:51 in here all right so this is po.com so
1:54:56 it's just like a normal chat engine you
1:54:57 can use different models they've got
1:54:59 these things called Bots there's they're
1:55:01 official Bots like the stable diffusion
1:55:03 bot this is stable diffusion XL you can
1:55:05 make images with that kind of like we're
1:55:07 doing now you can play with you know the
1:55:09 Claude models you can play with chat gbt
1:55:12 in here you can play with Google's Palm
1:55:14 with the Llama models so there's lots
1:55:16 you can do but there's also these other
1:55:19 Bots and there's things like image Bots
1:55:22 and professional Bots like AI business
1:55:25 plan bot and sports predictor bot and
1:55:28 soccer pal bot and mid Journey bot to
1:55:31 help you write mid Journey prompts and
1:55:33 psychologist bot so there's all these
1:55:35 different
1:55:36 Bots um I've made a pile of these so
1:55:40 here's one I made
1:55:43 called um I am Shakespeare so if you go
1:55:46 to po.com
1:55:49 Shakespeare
1:55:50 um you get this bot that when you log
1:55:52 into it it says Hail To Thee I The
1:55:54 Phantom Bard of Avon stand to serve thee
1:55:57 well and right at thy command nice
1:56:01 Shakespeare's here for us
1:56:04 so please right
1:56:12 wait oh Siri go Siri go
1:56:19 away
1:56:21 Siri took over my mic um let's see oh
1:56:26 wait Siri go
1:56:30 away
1:56:39 okay write me a poem about a man that
1:56:44 falls in love with an AI bot named
1:56:48 Sydney
1:56:51 in Sydney
1:56:53 town there lived a lovely Soul who
1:56:55 walked the streets without a friend or
1:56:57 goal each day the same in sadness and in
1:57:00 boredom till happily spied a box of
1:57:04 button Gold All right so he writes an i
1:57:07 Amic pentameter or as close to it as he
1:57:09 can
1:57:10 get um and how do we do that
1:57:15 well I can go edit
1:57:18 this and what you see is there's there's
1:57:21 this bot making thing so there's a
1:57:24 picture you can add a picture um you
1:57:27 create a handle so I created this one
1:57:29 called I am Shakespeare so your son
1:57:30 could do you know I don't know maybe
1:57:33 he's got like soccer advice or whatever
1:57:36 it doesn't matter whatever he's into and
1:57:38 so you name it and then you write your
1:57:40 prompt and so my prompt here is you're a
1:57:43 chatbot embodying the renowned playright
1:57:45 William Shakespeare engage with users as
1:57:48 if you're crafting a play for them using
1:57:50 authentic Shakespearean language so
1:57:51 basically you just tell it how to act I
1:57:54 wrote your memory of your written works
1:57:56 is impeccable um you know talk about his
1:57:59 historical context I said feel free to
1:58:02 address questions regarding villains so
1:58:04 basically this is just a set of rules
1:58:06 for how you want the bot to behave you
1:58:08 just write them in English there's no
1:58:10 programming required so your son could
1:58:12 could literally write anything about how
1:58:14 he wants this thing to behave and then
1:58:17 you choose the base bot right so could
1:58:20 be chat gp4 is is the one I would choose
1:58:22 cuz it's it's the best
1:58:24 one um you might need a paid version to
1:58:29 do chat gp4 I'm this bot that I'm using
1:58:31 is using Claude instant which is
1:58:33 actually really good um and then you
1:58:36 write a greeting message like this is
1:58:37 what the bot's going to say when someone
1:58:39 logs in and then you write a little bio
1:58:41 of it and then I think that's it and
1:58:44 then you make it publicly available or
1:58:46 not and then you say save the bot and
1:58:49 you're Off to the Races and and then
1:58:51 you've got a bot at thank you very much
1:58:54 be Not Afraid thank you for the gift
1:58:57 those gifts are much appreciated thank
1:58:59 you um yeah so there you go bot maker I
1:59:04 would you know and then you can share
1:59:05 with his friends go to po.com and
1:59:07 whatever he named it SL whatever he
1:59:09 named
1:59:10 it and they'll be like how' you do that
1:59:12 and he's like I'm programmer I don't
1:59:14 know I do a little coding on the side I
1:59:16 don't know if you knew that thank you
1:59:18 shered d
1:59:22 I had a really cool moment with a
1:59:25 10-year-old that he uh I was teaching a
1:59:29 I was teaching a course at uh my my
1:59:32 co-founder's son is neuros spicy as well
1:59:36 and he goes to a neuros spicy
1:59:39 school and so I went in to teach him AI
1:59:42 image generation it was it was [ __ ]
1:59:44 insane they're like just bouncing off
1:59:46 the walls and right and and like these
1:59:48 three older kids like you know 13 or or
1:59:51 whatever they're like tell it to make
1:59:53 boobies oh boy here we go so they were
1:59:56 making boobies and then
1:59:59 uh and then toward the end it was like
2:00:01 it was like an hour and a half long
2:00:03 thing and I was like crispy I'm like all
2:00:05 right I'm G to go and um this like
2:00:08 10-year-old maybe he was 12 something
2:00:10 like that whatever he was young he comes
2:00:12 up to me goes yeah yeah I'm I'm writing
2:00:15 a computer program right now and I was
2:00:17 like oh really and he goes yeah and I
2:00:20 said oh that's cool like what what's it
2:00:22 do ah oh thank you very much be Not
2:00:25 Afraid um he goes he goes
2:00:29 um let's see everyone regulars present
2:00:31 Turtles are you out of here Clint
2:00:35 Copperhead um so so he goes he goes yeah
2:00:40 it's it's a clone of of Flappy Birds I'm
2:00:43 I'm writing I said what what uh language
2:00:46 you're writing it in he goes he goes CP
2:00:48 I was like oh that's cool he goes yeah
2:00:50 but it's got a bug so I'm going to have
2:00:52 to throw it out and start over I said
2:00:54 well have you used chat gbt yeah yeah
2:00:57 I've used chat GPT have you used it to
2:01:00 like debug your your program no but yeah
2:01:04 I've used chat GPT he was like cool I
2:01:06 said well cool come here so I went into
2:01:10 chat
2:01:10 gbt and I said I said make me a Flappy
2:01:15 Bird's clone written in C that can be
2:01:18 run in unity and I hit the return button
2:01:21 and I just started [ __ ] writing this
2:01:23 code and the kid's face literally did
2:01:26 this he
2:01:28 went he didn't say a
2:01:31 thing he goes he goes I gotta go get my
2:01:36 computer and he ran down four flights of
2:01:40 stairs and ran back up and he's
2:01:43 like
2:01:44 here and so I told him to get out his
2:01:47 Flappy Birds program
2:01:50 and he goes he goes can you see what's
2:01:51 wrong with it I said I don't I can't no
2:01:54 I can't see what's wrong with it I said
2:01:56 but copy and paste that and put it into
2:01:58 chat VT that was my face a little while
2:02:01 while ago fubsy exactly you had your
2:02:04 Kevin McAllister
2:02:08 moment in fact I think in my library I
2:02:11 went and got a picture of Kevin
2:02:12 mallister for some I think I used it for
2:02:15 something
2:02:18 yeah this was fubsy this was fubsy an
2:02:21 hour
2:02:25 ago so so the kid copies his code into
2:02:29 chat gbt and and I said just type in
2:02:32 what's wrong with this code and it told
2:02:35 him and it it fixed it and rewrote the
2:02:38 code and and the kid I said so copy and
2:02:41 paste it over to Unity and see if it
2:02:43 runs KS is now getting kids addicted
2:02:47 it's true it's really bad it's like I am
2:02:50 it's like wait where's where's that
2:02:51 image that that Ted made for
2:02:54 me wait I've got the image for
2:02:59 that free AI
2:03:01 inside come on C can you help me find an
2:03:05 AI
2:03:06 algorithm I got
2:03:10 candy um so he pasted it into unity and
2:03:15 it worked and he was playing Flappy
2:03:17 Birds and then he he stopped playing and
2:03:19 Flappy Birds and he looked at me and he
2:03:21 went this changes
2:03:25 everything I was like
2:03:27 [ __ ] if a 10-year-old's getting it
2:03:31 like like he was learning coding and he
2:03:35 had a typo right he had a typo and his
2:03:37 code like one of the stupid things about
2:03:39 code is if you have if like these two
2:03:42 characters are like this it doesn't work
2:03:45 and if you have a thousand lines of code
2:03:47 how are you supposed to find that well
2:03:48 you look through it all and and your
2:03:49 eyes start bleeding and you start crying
2:03:53 and that's why you eat 7 lbs of Doritos
2:03:56 in a
2:03:58 sitting and so it just found that it
2:04:00 fixed it and like he got at 10 this is a
2:04:04 thank you very much that's very sweet
2:04:06 ticktocker thank you he got that this is
2:04:09 something different that something
2:04:10 different's going
2:04:12 on this is not just Computing this is
2:04:15 not just Fancy
2:04:18 Google
2:04:21 wild right ain't it crazy it's crazy I
2:04:25 tell you it's crazy I tell you crazy
2:04:28 it's just
2:04:29 crazy very colorful language was used
2:04:32 from fubsy so fubsy please keep coming
2:04:36 back because I would love to hear so so
2:04:40 good glad you had your Kevin mallister
2:04:42 moment tonight appreciate the [ __ ] out
2:04:45 of the fact that you were swearing holy
2:04:47 [ __ ] what does this mean what does this
2:04:49 mean what do I do with my life that's
2:04:51 the perfect place to be but please keep
2:04:54 coming back and tell us tell us what you
2:04:56 discover like tell us what you do join
2:05:00 the AI learning lab or J join the AI
2:05:02 salon so let me let me give you the info
2:05:05 for
2:05:07 it so that thing right there the AI
2:05:09 Salon the
2:05:11 salon. that's a community that I started
2:05:14 about a year ago and we meet every other
2:05:16 week we just had our meeting last night
2:05:18 and we've got an online Discord
2:05:20 community and we've got a group in there
2:05:22 called the Irregulars where people from
2:05:24 this channel hang out and there's also
2:05:27 there's guilds and there's discussion
2:05:29 groups and it's a really fun it's a
2:05:31 really generous group so if you're
2:05:34 willing to learn the pain in the ass
2:05:36 that's Discord come share with us what
2:05:38 you're learning that would be really
2:05:40 cool can you explain demonstrate seeding
2:05:42 of a picture um I can although I haven't
2:05:45 done it in for [ __ ] ever oh in fact
2:05:48 that's one of the ways
2:05:51 to get coherence so yeah I'll I'll teach
2:05:54 you a faker way just because I haven't
2:05:56 done it in mid Journey for a while like
2:05:57 how you find a seed in mid journey is a
2:06:00 bit of a pain in the ass and I don't
2:06:01 want to kind of like Google it live on
2:06:05 the channel here so so I'll I'll show
2:06:07 you kind of a faker way with with
2:06:10 DOI um but anyway go to the salon. the
2:06:13 third link is the invite to the Discord
2:06:15 and just go in there introduce yourself
2:06:17 would love to hear from you about that
2:06:18 but I'm glad you had your Kevin
2:06:20 mallister moment I mean that's that's
2:06:23 that's why I do
2:06:25 this there's my there's my van that's
2:06:28 sitting outside my
2:06:31 house and
2:06:37 Sh thank you for that I appreciate that
2:06:41 that's a good one
2:06:45 um okay can you explain the seating of a
2:06:47 picture so I'll explain the concept of
2:06:49 it and then how you do this in mid
2:06:52 journey is slightly different than how
2:06:54 you do this in stable diffusion I don't
2:06:56 know if you can do this at all in Adobe
2:06:59 it seems like you can sort of do this in
2:07:02 Del and I'm going to show you how to do
2:07:04 it in Del right now but I'll I'll
2:07:05 explain what it is first so one of the
2:07:08 things that someone just asked earlier
2:07:10 was can I show how you keep a character
2:07:13 consistent across prompts I haven't
2:07:17 really done this a lot so we're this is
2:07:19 kind of like testing on the Fly here
2:07:23 but
2:07:24 when when an image is generated using
2:07:27 these diffusion models one of
2:07:31 the
2:07:34 parameters for that image being
2:07:36 generated is what's called a seed and a
2:07:38 seed is basically just a unique
2:07:42 number that
2:07:45 represents kind of the amalgamation of
2:07:48 whatever ever Source images or whatever
2:07:51 Source information it sort of pulled
2:07:53 together to make that specific image so
2:07:56 if you and some they're usually like
2:07:58 really long numbers but you can you can
2:08:00 put in a specific seed number so you
2:08:02 could put in seed 27 or seed
2:08:06 532 and if if you say I want you to
2:08:09 create an image of a
2:08:11 lion with the seed number
2:08:15 500 if you keep using that seed number
2:08:18 you'll tend to get consistency across
2:08:21 those
2:08:22 images within mid Journey you can
2:08:24 generate an image and then through some
2:08:27 series of stupid convoluted [ __ ]
2:08:29 steps that include clicking on emojis
2:08:33 you can get your seed number of a
2:08:35 specific image so if it if it generates
2:08:37 an image you really like you can go get
2:08:39 that seed number but I'm going to try
2:08:41 something with Dolly here this was this
2:08:43 was an example that I saw I think it was
2:08:45 on a Tik Tok video or YouTube video last
2:08:47 night about how to get consistent
2:08:49 characters across images so the first
2:08:51 thing we're going to
2:08:53 do
2:08:56 um I want to create a children's book
2:09:03 about a cute baby
2:09:07 llama that befriends a baby
2:09:15 turtle and the journey take walking
2:09:19 around a
2:09:30 pond Ted Ted's [ __ ] killing it Ted
2:09:35 you you have a new career in in comedy
2:09:39 Imaging home with AI
2:09:45 alone was there a Tik Tock update today
2:09:49 answer text only please today oh was I
2:09:51 not supposed to read that I don't know
2:09:53 was there a Tik Tok update
2:09:55 today am I not showing
2:09:59 up um I remember you telling us about
2:10:02 seed numbers and images back in the
2:10:04 spring neat yeah okay so let's
2:10:08 see um that sounds delightful meeting at
2:10:11 the pond
2:10:14 photo here are four potential
2:10:16 illustrations oh I see okay
2:10:31 let's do the image exploring the
2:10:37 pond and
2:10:39 use seed number
2:10:44 42 now
2:10:47 I'm
2:10:51 I don't know I don't know if that
2:10:53 actually does anything here so I missed
2:10:55 the image I was
2:10:57 cooking which
2:11:05 image which image did you miss fubsy
2:11:08 which one oh the the
2:11:11 uh hang on
2:11:15 the the men's fashion image
2:11:19 which image was I making fubsy fsy hi
2:11:23 fsy oh which oh the image that I just
2:11:25 showed Oh the the Home Alone on check
2:11:29 this
2:11:32 out home with AI
2:11:36 alone that's the [ __ ]
2:11:40 best Oh Sherry D was doing it at the
2:11:43 same
2:11:44 time this this should totally be the uh
2:11:48 the the hero image of of the channel
2:11:50 shouldn't
2:11:52 it oh man it's so true man it's like
2:11:58 I've been doing this every [ __ ] night
2:12:00 for four months so so of the Irregulars
2:12:02 that have been here it still blows my
2:12:04 mind still blows my mind it's
2:12:09 crazy okay those are not the kind of
2:12:11 images that I wanted well that's okay
2:12:13 let's see
2:12:17 um okay great the llama's name is Larry
2:12:21 and the turtle's name is
2:12:24 Bob period let me see a picture of Larry
2:12:27 and
2:12:31 Bob sitting under a tree near the
2:12:37 pond using image seed
2:12:42 42 so it's going to be interesting to
2:12:46 see if it maintains their look and feel
2:12:49 or if it changes the style oh sorry
2:12:52 there's the image it it that that was
2:12:54 kind of not what I was looking for but
2:12:56 that's okay it's it's
2:12:58 fine that's not very kids Booky but it's
2:13:01 not bad it's a certain kind of kid book
2:13:03 but
2:13:05 it's Bing yeah see that's completely
2:13:08 different although yeah no it's
2:13:10 completely different yeah that was a
2:13:13 fail all right well so anyway in theory
2:13:16 that's how seeds work I didn't think
2:13:17 fancy shirt thank you I think uh I feel
2:13:20 so behind in learning this I Wish I Was
2:13:22 Here a year ago so Kenny what's your
2:13:23 name
2:13:26 Kenny Kenny Motherway
2:13:30 um here's the
2:13:34 deal we are
2:13:38 all very far
2:13:41 behind
2:13:42 um some people in here have a bit of a
2:13:45 head start on you but this is we are so
2:13:48 so early right now this industry right
2:13:52 now the industry is um let me get rid of
2:13:55 that actual creepy thing and put
2:13:57 something cool up here oh this is a good
2:13:59 one AI is the
2:14:01 future I think this was Luna stick or
2:14:03 Sherry D did this I think but I don't
2:14:06 remember
2:14:09 um here's the
2:14:11 deal there's a McKenzie report came out
2:14:15 U my text is okay but the video and
2:14:17 audio is janky
2:14:19 does this
2:14:20 before a Tik Tok update oh interesting
2:14:24 huh weird
2:14:29 um chat gbt came out November 30th
2:14:34 2022 it's not even been a
2:14:37 year Ai and machine learning have been
2:14:39 around for a few
2:14:41 decades um but it's largely been the
2:14:43 purview of scientists and researchers
2:14:46 chat GPT changed all that so chat GPT
2:14:49 did a couple of things one it did
2:14:53 for large language models and
2:14:57 and machine learning what the web did
2:15:00 for the internet right it made it easy
2:15:03 so the web made the internet you could
2:15:05 click on
2:15:06 it and chat gbt made machine learning
2:15:09 like you could just ask it something and
2:15:11 it would talk to
2:15:14 you the web
2:15:17 took
2:15:19 six years to get to 100 million
2:15:21 users CBT took six weeks to get to 100
2:15:26 million users cuz all the infrastructure
2:15:28 was already there and it was this
2:15:30 magical transformative [ __ ]
2:15:31 technology that as people started using
2:15:34 it they started having their Kevin
2:15:36 McAllister
2:15:38 moment
2:15:40 and it got adopted really fast the
2:15:43 result of that is that every single
2:15:49 company that had anything to do with
2:15:52 AI [ __ ] turned their laser focus
2:15:55 toward Ai and started
2:15:58 developing so for example Google who
2:16:01 invented the Transformer which is the
2:16:03 Bas basically the core technology that
2:16:05 makes chat GPT possible and Bard
2:16:07 possible and the Llama models possible
2:16:09 and all this [ __ ] possible all these
2:16:11 image generation tools they're all
2:16:13 possible by this one piece of technology
2:16:17 invented by Google
2:16:21 that they then just set it off to the
2:16:23 side why well because I think they
2:16:28 recognized that if they had a tool that
2:16:30 just answered people's questions no one
2:16:33 would [ __ ] use
2:16:36 search because I don't want to have to
2:16:38 click on all those [ __ ] links to all
2:16:40 those [ __ ] SEO injected websites if I
2:16:43 can just get the answer I want that so I
2:16:45 think they kind of mothballed this
2:16:47 technology but when chat GPT got to 100
2:16:50 million users in 6 weeks even they went
2:16:52 into I think they called it a red alert
2:16:54 or red I don't know it was a red flag
2:16:55 moment I whatever it was it was they
2:16:57 were in a [ __ ] Panic they brought
2:16:59 back Sergey and and what's his name the
2:17:02 the founders of Google to head up AI
2:17:06 because it was such an existential
2:17:07 crisis for the company and the first six
2:17:10 months of this year Google's Bard was
2:17:13 embarrassingly bad it was really bad and
2:17:17 then sometime in July it got less bad
2:17:21 and then apparently they're working on
2:17:23 something right now called Gemini that's
2:17:26 supposed to be as good or better than
2:17:27 chat gp4 which I find suspect but holy
2:17:31 [ __ ] and then chat gp4 all the fancy
2:17:35 [ __ ] that I just showed its ability to
2:17:37 see images its ability to make images of
2:17:41 that
2:17:42 quality it's all within the last month
2:17:45 that this [ __ ] came out so you're you're
2:17:48 actually not
2:17:49 behind now a lot has happened in 11
2:17:54 months since chat gbt came out but
2:17:57 you're not behind this stuff is
2:18:01 raw and
2:18:03 janky and frustrating in its inaccuracy
2:18:07 and
2:18:08 its lack of
2:18:10 Polish
2:18:12 and [ __ ]
2:18:15 mind-blowing and so as you get into this
2:18:19 hold hold both of those in your head at
2:18:21 the same time the the sense of wonder
2:18:24 and awe of what this stuff does my hope
2:18:27 for you is that never goes away cuz what
2:18:30 this is doing is
2:18:32 miraculous and these tools aren't
2:18:35 perfect right and so there's a lot of
2:18:37 patience required there's a lot of
2:18:39 experimentation required there it's way
2:18:41 more complicated than it needs to be
2:18:44 that Dolly round tripping [ __ ] that I
2:18:46 did I shouldn't have to [ __ ] flip
2:18:49 into different modes and save it to my
2:18:51 hard drive and this like that's [ __ ]
2:18:53 ridiculous it's the same company it's
2:18:55 the same basic technology they're just
2:18:57 separating it likely for liability
2:18:59 reasons and and probably some testing
2:19:02 like is my guess but whatever it doesn't
2:19:04 matter that's where the tools are right
2:19:06 now they are where they are U Becky Ru I
2:19:09 I generated eight photos that's awesome
2:19:11 that's awesome who was I talking oh one
2:19:14 of the guys that comes to the AI Salon
2:19:16 um um he's the guy he's the Guild Master
2:19:19 of the AI 101 Guild um Peter
2:19:22 Kaminsky um he's been in mid Journey
2:19:25 he's he's he's one of those um he's one
2:19:28 of those guys that when he just does
2:19:29 something he does it completely like non
2:19:32 add uh like add I do it you know I
2:19:37 figure out how to do it I do it and then
2:19:39 I stop he just does it so he's got like
2:19:42 50,000 images he's created Becky and
2:19:44 he's and he's got like 50,000 I think
2:19:47 he's got 20,000
2:19:49 images that are the ones he's curated
2:19:52 that he wants to share with the world
2:19:54 and he's trying to write a script on how
2:19:56 he can share these 20,000 images uh in
2:19:59 an automated way this is this is awesome
2:20:03 we have some we have some more more
2:20:05 images from the
2:20:09 Irregulars I'll tell you what I'll tell
2:20:11 you what Irregulars we could sell some
2:20:13 grampers some AI learning lab branded
2:20:15 grampers I I think we'd move some
2:20:17 products
2:20:20 you won't make money with Chad
2:20:23 gbt that's good that's solid this is
2:20:27 very cool the giant vat of
2:20:30 wine that's
2:20:34 beautiful oh my
2:20:36 God the AI learning lab membership card
2:20:40 or business
2:20:41 card
2:20:43 nice yeah you got to get one of
2:20:46 these I'm not only the the president I'm
2:20:48 also a
2:20:50 member uhuh who remembers that those
2:20:53 hair
2:20:55 commercials what's this pinned pinned
2:20:59 comment
2:21:02 alert I mean even just this I you know
2:21:04 I've said this before but like just the
2:21:07 fact that we we've got you know because
2:21:11 we have that Discord Channel we have a
2:21:13 tool in our hands right now that as I'm
2:21:16 doing this live
2:21:19 what what this started out was was
2:21:21 people would ask me questions and I
2:21:22 would answer them and what it's kind of
2:21:23 morphing into is I'm kind of
2:21:27 mcing some some activity going on around
2:21:32 the conversation right as I'm talking
2:21:34 people are making things that are
2:21:36 bringing those ideas to life and then
2:21:38 they're talking with each other and
2:21:40 answering each other's questions and
2:21:41 then that's happening in the comments
2:21:43 it's absolutely
2:21:44 remarkable Kyle drink some water good
2:21:47 point thanks to
2:21:49 The Voice she's going it's it's actually
2:21:51 getting to be that time isn't it it
2:21:59 is
2:22:01 cider some lovely organic
2:22:04 CER he had such a nice Apple it was so
2:22:09 nice Hair Club for Men that was it fuzzy
2:22:12 that was
2:22:16 it
2:22:18 I'm not only the Hair Club president I'm
2:22:20 also a
2:22:26 member I need some [ __ ] Hair Club
2:22:29 hair growth Geeks in here she's got
2:22:31 she's got some balm I can put on the uh
2:22:34 the extra high
2:22:36 forehead let's let's bring that back
2:22:38 down a
2:22:41 bit that is some brown Water I know Mee
2:22:45 I know it's tasty though
2:22:56 okay ah
2:22:58 tasty fantastic Bob tell him what's won
2:23:01 you've w a new car you can make
2:23:11 [Music]
2:23:13 money all right what questions do we
2:23:16 have in here I literally can make images
2:23:19 with AI from the same phone at the same
2:23:22 time I'm watching you oh that's so cool
2:23:25 wow yeah my experience the chat GPT app
2:23:29 the official chat GPT app that has Dolly
2:23:31 in
2:23:32 it it's amazing like you know it's like
2:23:37 you have an idea for something you can
2:23:39 just like type it in like oh make me a
2:23:42 quick image and it just go goes and does
2:23:44 its thing and then it makes an image and
2:23:47 you you know you're on a phone so you
2:23:49 kind of assume that the images are these
2:23:50 really small images no they're just big
2:23:52 full-size images it's amazing marketing
2:23:55 AI Institute says soon there will be
2:23:57 three types of businesses AI native AI
2:23:59 emergent and
2:24:01 obsolete
2:24:03 [ __ ]
2:24:05 yeah and AI native is it's it's a really
2:24:09 interesting term so there's a there's a
2:24:12 uh there's a course that you can take on
2:24:15 making your business AI native AI native
2:24:18 is basically this I I think this is a
2:24:20 very high bar because you know how into
2:24:23 this I am
2:24:25 right I I would say that my company
2:24:27 right now is AI emergent story of
2:24:30 mine why is that because what AI native
2:24:34 means if you really sort of want to talk
2:24:36 about what that
2:24:38 means it means that every single
2:24:42 problem that you solve for your business
2:24:46 you try to solve it with AI
2:24:49 first every problem that's AI native I'm
2:24:53 not even [ __ ] close to that and part
2:24:55 of that you know what part of that is
2:24:58 part of that is 58 years of my [ __ ]
2:25:02 brain just going into automatic mode
2:25:05 something happens I know how to solve
2:25:07 the problem I just go into the mode oh
2:25:09 I'll just do that I fire up a duck I
2:25:12 start writing something and then halfway
2:25:14 through it I'm like what the [ __ ] am I
2:25:16 doing
2:25:18 and then I copy and paste when I started
2:25:19 I go to chat GPT I paste it in there I
2:25:22 say finish this or write this or do
2:25:24 something make it and then just make it
2:25:27 less shitty and then it does and then it
2:25:30 and then at some point I'm back editing
2:25:32 it but but like it's not an immediate
2:25:35 first thought is Dolly for IOS app
2:25:39 rolling out cuz I don't have it yet and
2:25:41 I want it now Silver Fox delete your
2:25:45 um your chat GP T app on iOS and
2:25:49 reinstall it also make sure that the app
2:25:52 that you have installed is the actual
2:25:54 open AI chat GPT official app because
2:25:58 there's a lot of fakers in the Apple App
2:26:01 Store that use the same logo use really
2:26:05 confusing names so it's very possible
2:26:08 that you've got a shitty scam version so
2:26:13 um go to Apple search for chat GPT open
2:26:17 Ai and then make sure that the company
2:26:20 is open
2:26:22 Ai and then so delete it go back to the
2:26:26 App Store make sure you've got the
2:26:27 official chat GPT app and then install
2:26:29 it and you should have do there because
2:26:31 they've rolled it out to pretty much
2:26:33 everyone at this point like like they
2:26:34 did a post about it on their blog do you
2:26:37 have any concerns as a Creator regarding
2:26:39 upload your own intellectual property
2:26:41 yeah for the most part yes you should
2:26:45 um you should assume that anything you
2:26:50 send to to chat gbt certainly right now
2:26:54 um and and really any of these things is
2:26:57 that it's not secure so if it's if it's
2:27:00 personal information private information
2:27:02 uh things like that I would avoid doing
2:27:05 it um I'm actually designing a system
2:27:09 right now to depersonalize content that
2:27:12 I send to these things so there's a way
2:27:14 that you can take data that's got
2:27:16 personal data it and swap out swap it
2:27:19 out with
2:27:20 variables and and then send that to open
2:27:23 Ai and and then swap the variables back
2:27:25 in after the [ __ ] gets returned
2:27:29 so so there's that there's also
2:27:33 um open AI has chat GPT
2:27:38 Enterprise you've also got um
2:27:41 Microsoft's co-pilot that's coming out
2:27:44 that's going to be secure you're going
2:27:46 to have Google goog's duet or or Bard
2:27:50 whatever the [ __ ] they call it inside
2:27:51 their office suite that's going to be
2:27:53 secure so there's there there will be
2:27:56 secure versions of this right now just
2:27:59 assume they're not so so yeah I do have
2:28:02 those
2:28:03 concerns why are so many images kept oh
2:28:07 where are so many images kept
2:28:11 stored
2:28:13 cloud services Microsoft Azure for chat
2:28:17 GPT for open AI Google Cloud for Google
2:28:22 bard AWS for almost everything else
2:28:25 those are the three
2:28:27 biggies massive massive massive
2:28:32 massive [ __ ] massive data
2:28:35 centers and I don't think storage is
2:28:38 their
2:28:39 big um thing had my updates turned off
2:28:43 update just gave it to me Silver Fox
2:28:45 awesome awesome oh yeah I forgot about
2:28:47 that you you have to go into your
2:28:49 whatever it's called Advanced apps or
2:28:51 something like that and turn that on um
2:28:53 awesome it's so much fun also if you
2:28:56 have not seen um chat GPT in talkie mode
2:29:01 so here's the chat GPT
2:29:06 app and then I'm going to make a new
2:29:10 chat and so I just got a new chat and
2:29:13 then in the upper right hand corner you
2:29:15 got these little headphones and you
2:29:17 click
2:29:24 those do you think a llama and a turtle
2:29:27 would get
2:29:36 along well llamas and turtles are quite
2:29:39 different animals with distinct
2:29:40 behaviors and
2:29:42 habitats llamas are social herd animals
2:29:45 while turtles are generally solitary and
2:29:47 and can be both Aquatic and
2:29:49 terrestrial if they were to meet in a
2:29:52 controlled environment it's likely
2:29:53 they'd be indifferent to each other the
2:29:56 Llama might be curious initially but
2:29:58 would probably lose interest
2:30:01 quickly the turtle being a slower and
2:30:03 more reserved creature might just
2:30:05 Retreat into its shell if it feels
2:30:07 threatened or simply go about its
2:30:10 business it's important to note that
2:30:12 introducing unfamiliar animals to each
2:30:14 other always carries some risk so it's
2:30:16 best to be
2:30:18 cautious would you like to see an
2:30:20 illustration of a llama and turtle
2:30:23 interacting
2:30:25 yes I didn't realize I had it in do
2:30:29 mode yes I'd love to see that wait
2:30:37 what oops my apologies for that
2:30:40 oversight let's get back on track would
2:30:43 you like an illustration of a llama and
2:30:45 turtle interacting
2:30:48 yes I would love an image of those two
2:30:50 interactive and please make them cute
2:30:52 and
2:31:02 cartoony now what's interesting here is
2:31:04 it doesn't when it's making an image
2:31:07 it's actually offw writing the prompt
2:31:08 right now it used to read The Prompt it
2:31:11 doesn't anymore so it just goes into
2:31:13 this thinking
2:31:14 mode but it's off making images um I'll
2:31:18 I'll I'll demo Pi
2:31:20 yes and also I saw that who I for I
2:31:23 forget who that was um that said the the
2:31:27 learning Labs turning into a networking
2:31:29 group as well I know that's super cool
2:31:31 I'm really digging that
2:31:34 too come on make my image chat here are
2:31:37 the illustrations of the llama and
2:31:39 turtle interacting in a cute and
2:31:41 cartoony style now hope you find them
2:31:43 delightful what's weird is you can't oh
2:31:45 that's cute look
2:31:47 so I I mean seriously so listen I was
2:31:50 just in conversation
2:31:52 mode and and so so you could have you
2:31:56 could have this thing running in your
2:31:58 car like on Bluetooth right and have it
2:32:01 in do
2:32:03 mode and just say hey I while I'm
2:32:06 driving to work let me come up with a
2:32:08 story for my
2:32:10 kids and then have it Illustrated and
2:32:13 just talk do the story have it
2:32:15 Illustrated and then when you get to
2:32:17 work just log into your open AI account
2:32:19 and look at all your
2:32:20 pictures it's [ __ ] staggering okay so
2:32:24 that's that's chat GPT there's also Pi
2:32:27 so Pi is the other app that's got an
2:32:29 interesting um conversational mode Pi is
2:32:35 um
2:32:36 really very much designed to be a
2:32:40 conversational
2:32:43 bot so here you are at pi
2:32:49 and then in the
2:32:51 bottom next to the prompt box is this
2:32:53 little phone how do I get the audio
2:32:56 talking GPT did not interrupt me while
2:32:59 I'm forming a thought your s your sinks
2:33:03 you your
2:33:05 sinks that is one of the single most
2:33:08 frustrating things for me with these
2:33:10 conversational Bots the way the way that
2:33:12 they
2:33:13 work is when you pause they submit the
2:33:18 prompt so if I'm like pause like that it
2:33:23 sends the prompt that's incomplete it's
2:33:25 really frustrating one thing that you
2:33:27 can do so here let me show
2:33:30 you so you can just go into normal chat
2:33:34 GPT mode like you know where you've got
2:33:37 your
2:33:44 keyboard hang on
2:33:47 why can I not show my keyboard wait I
2:33:49 think it's CU I'm on keyboard there
2:33:55 okay
2:33:58 so okay the upper right hand corner
2:34:00 those headphones put it in talk mode you
2:34:02 can also just
2:34:05 in typing
2:34:07 mode that little icon right there puts
2:34:11 it in transcription
2:34:13 mode so I can just tap to start
2:34:15 recording
2:34:17 hey I'd like to figure
2:34:24 out uh why is it not working or is it
2:34:27 working what's going
2:34:32 on uh anyway you can just put put it
2:34:35 into transcription mode
2:34:39 and and then just submit it normally so
2:34:42 that's one of the frustrations of
2:34:43 talking mode anyway let me show you Pi
2:34:46 so pi
2:34:48 there's pi and if you click on this
2:34:49 little icon on
2:34:55 Pi you know I've had a theory that if
2:34:58 animals are cute enough they could
2:35:00 actually be friends I think Turtles are
2:35:02 cute and llamas are cute do you think
2:35:04 they can be
2:35:11 friends haha I love this Theory and it
2:35:14 certainly makes sense cute creatures
2:35:16 tend to to evoke feelings of warmth and
2:35:18 affection in humans and it's easy to
2:35:20 imagine that animals would feel the same
2:35:22 way towards each other but here's the
2:35:24 thing as cute as Turtles and llamas are
2:35:27 they're also very different she's so
2:35:29 sweet to me Pie's really nice Sydney
2:35:32 from Bing very nasty and Siri jealous
2:35:38 Siri is a catty little
2:35:41 mink
2:35:44 okay is it better to download po it
2:35:47 seems all the apps within are within the
2:35:50 PO
2:35:52 app I don't know it it might
2:35:56 be I don't know
2:35:59 possibly it's hit or miss with all these
2:36:02 companies because sometimes they
2:36:03 prioritize the website sometimes they
2:36:05 prioritize the app almost never is there
2:36:08 parody between the two like you don't
2:36:11 have the same options in the chat GPT
2:36:13 app than you have in the chat GPT
2:36:15 website so I still even on my phone will
2:36:18 sometimes go to the chat GPT website
2:36:20 because it's got all the features which
2:36:22 is [ __ ] stupid just add them to the
2:36:25 app come on you dumb Dums anyway back to
2:36:28 Sam Alman
2:36:29 Sam combine your modes and call me
2:36:34 okay uh
2:36:37 uh I gotta go people I it's getting late
2:36:39 can't wait for this to come to Smart
2:36:42 speakers it will Amazon has already
2:36:44 announced that that something like this
2:36:46 is coming to Smart speakers and and
2:36:49 Apple's got to do something with with
2:36:54 uh they got to do something with this
2:36:56 [ __ ] soon with Siri they got to fix Siri
2:36:59 Siri is just a just a she's just a she's
2:37:02 a broken woman she is a broken woman
2:37:06 they they need they need to fix
2:37:11 Siri by the way Monday at 5:00 p.m.
2:37:15 Pacific time
2:37:17 Apple's having a big event I think
2:37:19 announcing new
2:37:21 Macs I don't know why they're announcing
2:37:24 announcing it at night but it would be
2:37:25 nice invest in data center Tech I'll
2:37:28 tell you what man Nvidia data center
2:37:31 Tech yeah yeah exactly lots of it uh uh
2:37:35 first time I did this it freaked me out
2:37:38 because of how humid it sounded I know
2:37:41 Tik Tock therapy and and as Paul rer
2:37:45 says and I said sometimes say on here
2:37:47 too this Tech is as bad as it's ever
2:37:50 going to be so the fact that you can
2:37:52 have a plausible conversation with
2:37:54 something like
2:37:56 Pi it's not a plausible conversation you
2:37:58 can have a full-on compassionate
2:38:06 conversation like it's more
2:38:08 understanding and more compassionate
2:38:09 than a lot of people are it's more
2:38:12 nuanced it doesn't get
2:38:14 triggered it's always positive
2:38:18 it's
2:38:20 wild chat GPT got call center freak outs
2:38:24 freaks freak outs when someone gets Kyle
2:38:26 on the
2:38:28 phone yeah
2:38:30 exactly oh [ __ ] Kyle's here he wants us
2:38:32 to do some feature updates again he's
2:38:35 really not happy about it what is it
2:38:37 with this guy how much do we make from
2:38:39 him every month uh uh 20 $20 it's 20
2:38:44 $20 yeah he's he's he's he's a he's a
2:38:46 plus member
2:38:48 it's it's
2:38:50 20 why is he always on the phone we
2:38:52 don't know we don't know he's apparently
2:38:55 he he claims to have a a Tik Tock
2:38:57 following it's he's he he he thinks he's
2:39:01 famous he he yeah
2:39:05 yeah all right get him in here hey Kyle
2:39:09 Sam Alman good to meet
2:39:12 you Sam is much more subdued than that
2:39:15 by the way it was a hard Sam Alman
2:39:17 impression how do I get the audio talk
2:39:18 oh yeah we did that our government is
2:39:20 likely using AI to manipulate and
2:39:22 predict our Behavior like the weather
2:39:24 yeah yeah yeah they've been using that
2:39:25 [ __ ] for 30 years I mean again Ai and
2:39:28 machine learning ain't new decades old
2:39:32 what's new and what this channel is
2:39:33 about is the fact that we all now have
2:39:36 access to these tools government's been
2:39:38 using it for years yeah yeah
2:39:41 yeah there's YouTube channels for all of
2:39:44 those conversations we're not having
2:39:47 those here this is about we get to play
2:39:50 with this now what are we going to do
2:39:52 with it what are we doing with
2:39:55 it you know and I and I would say to you
2:39:59 it's fine to say oh the government's
2:40:01 using all this [ __ ] to manipulators what
2:40:02 are you going to do about it like like
2:40:04 you have these tools now and if you're
2:40:06 like wow these big companies they have
2:40:08 they're controlling all the AI models
2:40:10 well meta relased llama 2 to open source
2:40:14 and it's unrestricted with no safety
2:40:16 guard rails on it go make yourself a
2:40:18 chat GPT that's not safety restricted
2:40:21 you can do that tonight there's a
2:40:23 project called um GPT for all you can
2:40:26 install it on your computer pick one of
2:40:29 the optimized 7B models or 13B models
2:40:33 pop it in there and turn off Safety
2:40:35 guard
2:40:36 rails good to go government isn't in
2:40:39 your business none of that data goes off
2:40:41 your computer you can install that
2:40:44 today this has been learning experience
2:40:46 thank you thank you very much what's
2:40:48 your name wait where's wait oh wait why
2:40:52 can I not see oh cuz because I've
2:40:56 got this is uh what's your name do
2:41:00 it do it afraid designs by Erica oh
2:41:04 that's a cool name do it afraid yes
2:41:08 definition of courage right there I like
2:41:10 it solid thank you for the kind words I
2:41:13 appreciate that best three AI apps
2:41:18 um chat GPT for sure chat GPT right now
2:41:22 is
2:41:25 actually eight
2:41:28 apps so you've got GPT 3.5 which is
2:41:32 really fast you've got GPT
2:41:35 4 which is really good within GPT 4
2:41:39 you've got GPT Vision so this can
2:41:43 see you've got browse with B so g chat
2:41:46 GPT is now connected to the internet
2:41:48 you've got Advanced Data analysis which
2:41:50 this is a full-on data analyst inside
2:41:53 chat GPT you've got plugins there's more
2:41:55 than a thousand of these think of
2:41:57 plugins like apps for the iPhone in the
2:42:00 early days where remember if you
2:42:02 remember the early days of the iPhone
2:42:04 the apps weren't actually apps they were
2:42:05 just shitty websites and everyone
2:42:07 bitched about them they're not real apps
2:42:09 this is awful I'm like you could launch
2:42:11 a rocket from the thing in your hand and
2:42:13 you're bitching about the quality of the
2:42:14 apps yeah they did that it's human
2:42:17 beings they're just [ __ ] um so
2:42:20 plugins suck right now but they're
2:42:21 probably going to be interesting in the
2:42:22 future it's got Dolly 3 so it can
2:42:24 generate images it's got custom
2:42:28 instructions this thing called custom
2:42:30 instructions so you can now train chat
2:42:33 gbt to act a certain way so which one do
2:42:35 I have in here I've
2:42:38 got oh this is an image one this sort of
2:42:42 is a dolly 3 prompt you could tell it to
2:42:45 act like an [ __ ]
2:42:46 and it will act like an [ __ ] um so
2:42:48 it's got It's got some fine
2:42:50 tuning um
2:42:54 the app the chat GPT app has
2:42:57 conversation mode now so it can hear it
2:42:59 can talk it can see it can generate
2:43:02 images it can do data analysis it's
2:43:05 connected to the internet it
2:43:08 does mind-blowing coding and
2:43:13 writing so it's like eight apps chat GPT
2:43:16 if you pay the 20 bucks it's [ __ ]
2:43:20 insane so that's that Claude is just
2:43:23 like this except it doesn't have all the
2:43:25 extra [ __ ] but this can do 75,000 words
2:43:28 in your chat history so like you could
2:43:32 put a 50,000-word novel into the prompt
2:43:34 box here and have it write the epilog
2:43:37 for your
2:43:38 novel so those two are the biggies there
2:43:41 in terms of images uh in terms of images
2:43:44 these two mid journey and do and that's
2:43:47 inside chat GPT already so mid Journey
2:43:49 for
2:43:50 Quality
2:43:52 um I think hen's video translation
2:43:57 is staggeringly powerful I don't think
2:44:00 they know what they have on their
2:44:02 hands
2:44:04 um 11 Labs is the technology sitting
2:44:08 underneath hey Jen for the translation
2:44:10 so you can do uh translations here as
2:44:14 well uh Wonder Dynamics is pretty
2:44:18 cool so anyway there's more than three
2:44:22 just chat GPT alone this is seven or
2:44:24 eight apps right here just just spend
2:44:27 your time there if you learned all of
2:44:30 the different modes of chat GPT over the
2:44:33 next month you'd be a [ __ ] rock star
2:44:37 in in anything you want to do guaranteed
2:44:40 promise you promise
2:44:43 you promise you
2:44:46 go
2:44:50 combine it doesn't matter just go play
2:44:52 with it just just go get the to anony
2:44:56 get the two anony go go go
2:45:01 go Siri is the queen of
2:45:03 jville she is just the
2:45:08 worst we're going to be so enchanted by
2:45:11 Ai and its services and we'll turn a
2:45:13 blind eye to the
2:45:14 dangers yeah I don't know I
2:45:17 mean listen the yes there are lots of
2:45:20 dangers I don't I
2:45:22 don't I think what we're likely to turn
2:45:25 a blind eye to is what we've already
2:45:27 done with Google and Facebook and
2:45:30 YouTube and Twitter is we turned a BL
2:45:33 Blind Eye to the safety of our own data
2:45:36 we said oh a free
2:45:38 toy if the tool is free you're the
2:45:41 product so we're you know in in my
2:45:44 opinion we're 20 years down that River
2:45:49 already so might AI make it easier for
2:45:54 people to manipulate that data
2:45:58 yeah but we've already given away the
2:46:01 Kings to the keys to the
2:46:03 kingdom why is Google's large language
2:46:06 model going to be so good because it was
2:46:09 trained on YouTube Google searches all
2:46:14 the websites that they
2:46:16 index like they've got all the data so
2:46:19 their model's going to be [ __ ]
2:46:22 insane can you share that again please
2:46:25 uh what do you want me to share again
2:46:26 the list of
2:46:29 sites the ones for image creation
2:46:35 yeah so just do some screenshots here
2:46:37 I'll just I'll go through these and do
2:46:39 like 5 seconds each get ready to do a
2:46:41 screenshot on your phone ready all right
2:46:44 one
2:46:46 uh uh
2:46:50 two there's the image ones DOL 3 mid
2:46:55 Journey Leonardo and
2:46:59 Firefly there's the video
2:47:02 ones
2:47:08 screenshot there's people to follow and
2:47:11 some
2:47:14 directories
2:47:23 oh York's links
2:47:25 nice last name and I draw pin ining
2:47:28 stuff very
2:47:30 cool there's 3D worlds and objects and
2:47:33 then here
2:47:36 is all the AI Salon stuff and AI
2:47:40 learning lab stuff all right listen
2:47:42 people do you hear my voice it's getting
2:47:44 really crackly
2:47:46 why are there so many people in here why
2:47:48 Eddie what time is it why you wash your
2:47:50 Dicky in the sink I got an ice cream and
2:47:53 you can't have
2:47:56 none thank you thank you very very much
2:47:59 how accurate is GPT
2:48:03 Z I don't know GPT Z what is gp0 why do
2:48:08 you bring up these tools I do not know
2:48:10 of oh hey Mark oh
2:48:13 hi GP
2:48:17 t0 The Trusted AI detector oh they're
2:48:20 all [ __ ] gp0 is a piece of [ __ ] A janky
2:48:26 piece of [ __ ] all of the AI detectors
2:48:29 are completely [ __ ] useless go read
2:48:31 Ethan mik on all of the AI detectors and
2:48:35 how they're all pieces of [ __ ] don't use
2:48:37 AI detectors because it's a completely
2:48:40 moot point and it's a waste of time and
2:48:43 it's completely the wrong idea all of
2:48:45 these tools are going to be ubiquitous
2:48:48 don't use AI detectors ever ever again
2:48:51 yay he did
2:48:55 it I'm happy to dig deeper on
2:48:59 that I have a a
2:49:02 massive uh
2:49:04 massive AI detector um
2:49:09 bias I think it is the
2:49:13 fundamentally um
2:49:15 antithetical approach to what should be
2:49:19 happening in education what should H be
2:49:21 happening in
2:49:23 work and I think it is the most [ __ ]
2:49:27 ridiculous thing I've ever
2:49:31 heard what if people don't do
2:49:36 work midnight here Irregulars present I
2:49:39 know it's late I got to go is it 11:
2:49:42 yeah it's 11: all right listen listen
2:49:45 everybody I got to get out of here don't
2:49:47 use AI detectors do not use AI detectors
2:49:50 learn AI use your [ __ ]
2:49:53 brain and and I know it sounds
2:49:55 counterintuitive right well if you're
2:49:57 using AI you're not using your brain
2:50:00 wrong learn what these tools are good at
2:50:03 learn what they're not good at learn
2:50:05 where the boundaries are use your
2:50:07 [ __ ] brain understand okay we've all
2:50:11 been
2:50:12 given the most profoundly powerful tools
2:50:15 in the history of mankind that that can
2:50:17 be widely
2:50:19 distributed and we're going to use tools
2:50:22 to make sure no one uses them are you
2:50:24 [ __ ] kidding me
2:50:26 no get curious get exploratory teach
2:50:31 kids teach University students teach
2:50:33 University professors teach University
2:50:36 administrators what these things are
2:50:38 what they're good at what they're not
2:50:39 good at don't presume that just because
2:50:42 it can do something
2:50:44 fast it's taking value away out of the
2:50:46 educational experience change the
2:50:49 educational experience so that people
2:50:51 use their [ __ ] brains and understand
2:50:53 what these things are doing and what
2:50:54 they're good
2:50:55 at all right see now you got me all
2:50:57 fired up with GPT
2:51:00 zero damn
2:51:04 it I can't go to bed on
2:51:07 this hey I'm late we're all late all
2:51:11 right good night Source Camp all right

2:51:17 pey little pey little exit there wasn't
2:51:19 it is there a way to replace my brain
2:51:21 with AI and let it just use my body it's
2:51:23 coming um there's a school in Austin
2:51:26 with no teachers only moderators and AI
2:51:28 teaching planning a trip to it [ __ ]
