13. 3:04fundraiser and she starts at 6:00 a.m. Pacific on a zoom Channel I'll give you details on how to find all this [ __ ] and
14. 3:12then I go at 9:00 and then she goes at noon and I go at 3:00 we do that for 24 hours and we're going to teach you or anyone you
15. 3:21bring how to build a GPT for your cause of choice it can be a nonprofit can be Community groups something for your school I don't
16. 3:31care and you you will need a GPT for subscription a a chat GPT Plus subscription and Brooklyn in the house and uh yeah in less than an hour

24. 5:03if you use the gp4 model they're not connected to the internet um that I could tell um they do have knowledge bases but it's it's just
25. 5:13it just wasn't the same thing so we just decided to bail on it so it'll be for it'll be for GPT plus subscribers only
26. 5:22but you can come learn how to do that and if there's questions about po I can hop over to PO and show people how to do
27. 5:27that so um you know like I said we decided to do this I decided to do this last Saturday today's Friday and then I got
28. 5:39Co so so luckily Ann Murphy is a a a starter like I am and so so she kicked some things into high gear um so anyway so so we'll do
29. 5:51that I'm going to want to build for a nonprofit organization here in Austin Texas for housing that's awesome awesome

32. 6:09here I was I was thinking um we can build our demo gpts for real nonprofits so so uh why not we'll build

35. 6:33sessions except it's going to be really focused and we're going to just Dive Right into here's what chat GPT is
36. 6:41here's what gpts are and here's how to build your own and it's going to be a very specific document we're going to
37. 6:48walk you through that document you're going to build along with us and then you will have a functional
38. 6:54GPT in less than an hour and then we're going to ask you to share that with the world and # chat GPT and then um we have
39. 7:03a form that you can submit your GPT to be entered into we're we're going to do it as a raffle so anyone that builds and
40. 7:10submits a GPT and you don't have to build it tomorrow if you've built a GPT for a nonprofit and want to submit it
41. 7:16you can get him for the raffle and the winner of that raffle is going to win 250 bucks for their cause of choice
42. 7:24so just when you didn't think you could you could make money with time you can make money for your nonprofit for chat [Laughter]

46. 8:15Austin I don't think you can build gpts from the GPT app on iOS or on Android but you can go to like Safari or Chrome on IOS and
47. 8:27Android and go to chat. a.com and build from there I know that so if you're only if you're only on an iPad or an iPhone that still

77. 15:09who whoever's going to build the GPT has to have uh GPT plus has to have GPT 4 access all right yes super excited okay
78. 15:18that's great question if we make something for a nonprofit and they wanted on their landing page do they have
79. 15:26to I don't know what the rest of that was uh have oh do they have to have GPT 4 no they can so if they want to put it
80. 15:34on their landing page they can put like a graphic that says we've got a GPT and someone can click on it and then that
81. 15:40can that'll take them over to to chat GPT if if they don't have it they'll be Pro provided access to get to upgrade to
82. 15:47it but anyone that has gp4 can click on that link and use it there's not a way right now to embed gpts into a website
83. 15:57so um so so listen part of the deal about where we are one of the things we talk about in this channel I'm not

85. 16:24that um one of the things we talk about oh you're on a PC I got I got nothing for you Silver Fox um one of the things we talk about in
86. 16:34here is these tools right now are are janky pieces of poop and so um where these gpts are versus where we all want
87. 16:44them to be is is there's a there's a distance between those two things but there's still a reason to build them
88. 16:50there's still a reason to do this it's to learn and to understand what's possible so my hope is that you either
89. 16:58bring bring people in who've never built anything before may not even know what chat EPT is or you build them something
90. 17:03and literally hand it to them and say hey I built you this thing for your nonprofit it can teach people about your
91. 17:09nonprofit it can help you raise money and they go wait what is this wait I'm confused so I need to get chat
92. 17:17gp4 on the chat gp4 website you need to get chat GPT plus so if you go to chat. open.com let's go there let's go there together shall
93. 17:35[Music] we that's not chat that is so you go to chat. open.com yeah this screen really does need to be clean doesn't
94. 17:51it and um in the in the upper leand corner you have this this drop down you've got chat GPT 3.5 if you don't
95. 18:00have chat GPT 4 if that's not available then you can't make a GPT how you upgrade to that is you go to my plan
96. 18:06under your name on the lower leand corner go to my plan and then you can upgrade to chat gp4 I don't really have any ideas on how
97. 18:16to help nonprofits I just want to learn so I can help locals that's okay so you can just do it for your cause of choice
98. 18:21and here's here's what we're going to do tomorrow you don't have to have an idea for what to do with the chat GPT and are
99. 18:28providing that so we've put together a specific GPT that is kind of generic across any organization here's what you
100. 18:37need you need the name of the organization you need their website and you need like a link to their donate
101. 18:43page and that se the link to the donate donate page is optional so you basically just need a website of of your cause of
102. 18:53choice if they don't have a website then it it kind of defeats the purpose what we're teaching is is to build a GPT that
103. 19:00will let you learn about the organization and we're basing that knowledge on their website okay so that's so all you need is a chat GPT
104. 19:10subscription and um here I'm going to I'm going to deal with this screen it's now for for the for the OCD
105. 19:22in the room uh yes this is better than what was there but yes this is not um uh uh computer tech repairman approved uh screen washing

111. 20:43questions and we're going to build this stuff together it's going to be awesome it's going to be really it's going to be quite
112. 20:48good and then uh we've got a form where you can um submit for the uh for the uh it's not a raffle it's a it's sort of a
113. 21:02raffle you can make an entry you can make an entry for the prize for the prize money for your nonprofit of choice
114. 21:09or your cause of choice all right fantastic just bring your PJs and some cheesecake I like that yes oneon-one

116. 21:33one of the things that that we're going to do tomorrow is we put together a form which I'm got to find all my My Links hang

121. 22:53instructions for how to build the GPT that we're going to walk everybody through um if you know nothing about building a
122. 23:01GPT you're basically going to follow us along with that you're going to you're going to build a GPT and you're going to be ready to
123. 23:09launch it if you've built one and you want to launch it as part of the GPT for good program um you can submit it to this
124. 23:17form so you basically fill out this form say here's the GPT I created here's why I created it and and then you go post it
125. 23:25to Social and hashtag it GPT forg good and you're you're in the contest so you can build something outside of this um
126. 23:32tomorrow and then submit it as part of the GPT for good our goal here is to basically build and identify more than a
127. 23:40100 gpts for good causes okay and so so we will we will make it work so just pay attention tomorrow and uh and and all of
128. 23:50the all of the stuff's there what time PST so the times tomorrow are 6: a.m. Pacific
129. 24:06time so it's every 3 hours for a 23h hour period because Anna and I know how to make Good Life [Laughter]
130. 24:18Choices whatever uh so uh she starts at 6:00 a.m. on zoom and then I go at 9:00 a.m. Pacific time on Tik Tok here on
131. 24:29this channel and she goes at noon and these are going to be like one hour to 90 minutes sessions depending on
132. 24:36how many questions there are and how many people show up and things like that and then I'm going to go at 300 p.m.
133. 24:44Pacific and then she's going to go at 600 and then I'm going to go at 900 p.m. Pacific then she's going to go at
134. 24:51midnight Pacific and I'm going to do 3:00 a.m. Pacific so we're each going to do four four sessions you know 3 hours apart

136. 25:10to 600 amm what time should I join any these these are all going to be identical you submit it on the form and
137. 25:16to to get into our oh that's right oh that's the other thing so Vicki thank you for doing that so Vicki has also
138. 25:23built us a website that's going to be a directory of all of these so not not only are we going to have the hashtag
139. 25:29where these things are shared on social when you submit your GPT in the form you're going to get added to a directory
140. 25:37of of all of these is it through Zoom okay so there's two different there's two different things my sessions will be
141. 25:43on tiktock and sessions will be on zoom and all of those links are on the um the GPT for good landing page on the AI
142. 25:53Salon site which is the site I'm on right now and you get to that by going to the salon. and then the first link on this link
143. 26:08tree will take you straight to the GPT for good challenge to that page this page right here all right it's good lots of questions lots

145. 26:29GPT mhm I like building them gpts you ever build a GPT no I ain't never built one oh you could build one it it ain't

150. 27:21tomorrow what my hope is is that is that anyone who does one just gets a taste for what's possible and then they
151. 27:29realize oh but I could make this so much better and I could do this and I could do that oh and you know who else I
152. 27:34should do this for for I should do it for this thing and that thing and that thing that is absolutely uh my hope uh Mary Mary I
153. 27:42need to learn still in remedial class this is this is th this is what we've created is Mad Libs for creating a
154. 27:52GPT we've put together the framework for you it is it is it is rid ridiculously simple to build these things and then and then they are
155. 28:02ridiculously powerful if not flawed right how can I how can we build and promote our own GPT well if it's if it's
156. 28:11for a cause we'll help you promote it you can make it be part of this if you want to build and promote your own gpts right now there there's
157. 28:20not really a good way there are some third-party directories um but they're they're they're I hesitate to recommend any of them
158. 28:31because open AI is going to launch the GPT store it's going to be the equivalent of the Apple App Store probably within the month and and I
159. 28:39wouldn't be surprised if it's like within a week or two but let's let's assume it's by the end of January at that point you'll be able to
160. 28:47promote your gpts on the GPT store assuming that you get accepted into whatever their program is and I I don't
161. 28:53think the they're going to make the barriers that high for people to get in um because they're encouraging people to
162. 28:59build these things and and so that's how how you can do it how I promote mine in in the absence of that right now is I
163. 29:06just promote them on social media I take like a screenshot of them and you know some social media things do the the web
164. 29:13preview thing well some sometimes they don't the way they've coded the the way open AI has coded their web previews
165. 29:21they don't always display like they don't they don't display correctly in Mighty networks which is makes me cranky
166. 29:27um but I I assume they'll fix that at some point um don't use someone else's platform the gp4 the GPT store should be treated as
167. 29:36the top of the funnel yeah exactly yep cool thank you Kyle yeah you're welcome you're welcome um yeah exactly it's it's
168. 29:43um we just need to be patient so so the the the goal of tomorrow is not so much that you're going to build the perfect
169. 29:50GPT you know for for a nonprofit and it's going to be perfect no no what you're going to do tomorrow is you're
170. 29:56going to dip your toe in the the water but what you're going to have at the end of an hour is something that you can
171. 30:01share and it's something that you can share publicly now you may choose not to you may decide like Silver Fox I want to
172. 30:07keep tweaking this thing once you've got the URL for your GPT that doesn't change you can keep updating it and modifying
173. 30:14it things like that which is super cool all right all right how can we build and promote our own GPT 22nd birthday for my
174. 30:23twins tomorrow can't join but good luck good luck with the twins I think mine Ted turned 24 my twins turned 24 in July
175. 30:32so we're in the same neighborhood with with uh with twins twins in the family you should tell them you can't

177. 30:55dumb uh what's advice on trading the GPT with some additional knowledge base well we're going to kind of do that
178. 31:02louva um and and my advice the the only advice I have on using additional knowledge for training any of these gpts right now is
179. 31:14that you shouldn't put put anything proprietary in there um if if it would be a bad thing if that were to get out
180. 31:21to the world just assume that anything that you're going to put in there um could be gotten to by someone who wants to to get to it
181. 31:30um the security thing is something they're going to have to tighten up on this so basically so what we're doing
182. 31:35with the with the gpts tomorrow is we're using publicly accessible websites and that's going to become the knowledge
183. 31:41base but you could have you know let's let's say you've got a nonprofit and you have a whole PDF document on the
184. 31:48condition or or the cause what what it's about or how to volunteer um you can literally just upload that PDF into the GPT
185. 31:57um and and it will build it in fact I think what I'll do tonight is um rather than just talking about it an abstract
186. 32:04I'll build a GPT tonight and I'll actually show you the the uh the thing that we're going to we're going to use
187. 32:10tomorrow I don't although maybe I don't I don't want to give away all the goods then no one will come to my little party
188. 32:16an and I were talking about that we're like What if no one comes to our party what if we they're building gpts and nobody shows up
189. 32:29we're going to be okay an I think we're going to get some people to show up so if anyone in here has a heart at all you
190. 32:36you better just damn well better show up at an's Zoom call at 6:00 in the morning because that's the that's the one I'm
191. 32:42most worried about I figure my one at 4 in the morning at the end of 24 hours there will be people on the other side

198. 33:46quickly and so are there about 38 planning things that it would have been swell to have in place that we don't
199. 33:54yeah but can we absolutely pull this off off tomorrow yeah yeah we got a Google form we figured out how we're going to
200. 34:01teach these things we got we got hyperlinks thanks to the uh Tim burner's Lee and the the uh hypertext transfer
201. 34:12protocol we can all just click on our little happy little hyperlinks and use our remarkable large language models to
202. 34:18go build these things so super excited about it all right so much avocado dip is going to waste if nobody comes Clint

210. 35:29happens if there are multiple gpts then may the M best GPT win out you mean for for for the same organization I don't know
211. 35:42um what I would do in that case is I would contact the people that made the gpts and get them all on a call together
212. 35:49and maybe they collaborate and make an Uber GPT or maybe someone in there's super geeky and they want to make you
213. 35:56know a version of it on zapier or on uh on the open AI playground where it can be embedded in the site if if you've got
214. 36:04that much traction for a GPT I'd either say coordinate or or take it up a notch I I think that's I it listen if
215. 36:13there if there is if there is an abundance of good for the same GPT awesome so I need this experience for my
216. 36:19charity but I'll be off grid however I've made a GPT for quilt quilts so so Becky if there's anyone from your
217. 36:27organization um that can go you know that can can go on your behalf send them in Cosmic lover 7 will be there awesome

415. 1:08:56brochure Weare and so the gpts that we're going to build tomorrow for the nonprofits um are going to going to
416. 1:09:03essentially be brochure Weare kind of kind of gpts where they're going to be connected to the website they're going
417. 1:09:09to pull information from it you can ask information about the organization about what they do about volunteering there
418. 1:09:16and there's going to we're going to build in a call to action that says hey if you like what's going on here you
419. 1:09:21know you can support us by volunteering or click here to donate um so they're going to be very very simple they can they can go anywhere
420. 1:09:30from being very very simple to be to being you know very very powerful and and they don't all not all gpts have to
421. 1:09:38be public facing so some of the do good for for a nonprofit could be um things that make things more efficient in you
422. 1:09:48know organizing events or organizing programs or delivering programs right so maybe if you're delivering educational
423. 1:09:56content you've got an educational platform that you produce content for well maybe you could also have a GPT that provides that content in a
424. 1:10:04different format um with with conversational chat GPT in the app you could actually have a conversation and learn that content in a
425. 1:10:14different way and you could actually learn it in different languages right so um so I I think it's it's it's
426. 1:10:21almost I I would almost flip the question and say what are the what are the kinds of problems that you want to
427. 1:10:27solve um and then you can likely build a GPT to do some version of that um a lot of people think the future will be as6 um for each type of
428. 1:10:38model um rather than one for all and as6 stands for like a specific instruction set right right Pate um so they're
429. 1:10:47they're basically specialized specialized chips rather than rather than you know a one siiz fits all yeah
430. 1:10:55that that makes sense to me just the the question is it like so not only do they have to design the chips they have to
431. 1:11:03write the the software that you interface with to to train all your models and like you know does Nvidia
432. 1:11:10have such a head start that it's it's hard for any of those organizations to get it up and running now if it's
433. 1:11:17Microsoft or apple or someone like that where they're building their own chips or even open AI like part of the money
434. 1:11:23that Sam Alman was apparently raising when he got fired was to spin up his own chip manufacturing um thing for for their own
435. 1:11:31you know for their own training so yeah really interesting to it'll it'll be it'll be interesting for for for us real
436. 1:11:37folk you know non-engineer types you know this all this chip talk is good and exciting now it probably doesn't show up
437. 1:11:45in the models we get to play with for two or three years is my guess uh uh uh uh like building a GPT for volunteer on
438. 1:11:58boarding perfect perfect use case train your own data sets it's a perfect use case Chris there are problems with temp speed
439. 1:12:09and bleed over I've often talked about the temp sple speed and bleed over issues with my uh gpus tpus and rpu rpns

448. 1:13:36how is a GPT different than chat GPT like what is what is the difference between these we're going to be doing
449. 1:13:41that and then we're going to be showing how easy it is to build these so even if someone doesn't have access to it I
450. 1:13:47think these sessions are going to be really valuable people can ask questions and they can go build and what my hope
451. 1:13:53is is that people actually come to multiple of these and and you know maybe they start their their GPT in the
452. 1:13:59morning and then by the afternoon or the evening they've improved it and they've got all sorts of bells and whistles on
453. 1:14:05it things like that like building a GPT for volunteer on boarding yep I saw that one that that's a really good that's a really good
454. 1:14:13one um he's making this up isn't he Joker how dare you you you don't think I was talking about real Hardware infrastructure
455. 1:14:23capability buses with parallel serialism in my programming stack for the prototyping boards that I work with
456. 1:14:35regularly on a daily basis God Joker geez that's make that I'm offended I I take offense to your casting aspersions on my

463. 1:15:43should have a GPT built we should have you up to speed on what chat GPT is what gpts are you follow along as we build
464. 1:15:53build a GPT in real time that should be done before the hour is up and then and then we're going to kind of leave 30 minutes after that for
465. 1:16:01Q&A and just based on tonight it there'll probably be some good Q&A which is good oh good Kyle knows as much about
466. 1:16:11this as I do exactly Source Camp I am I am pate and I are very similar in our technical capabilities with the exception of the fact that PA
