20. 3:35minutes to 8 I logged in and it was just not loading not loading the my history wasn't loaded just it was just all sorts
21. 3:42of weird Sam wman also posted today that um the demand for the new [ __ ] that they announced was Way Beyond what they
22. 3:54expected they were expecting to roll out the the GPT Builder on Monday and what's today Wednesday night so
23. 4:03which in Tech time listen in Tech time the fact that they turned that around in a couple of days is not bad um because the the little
24. 4:14Banner of weeks or in the coming weeks so the fact that it's there a couple of days later is is actually not
25. 4:21bad but that says to me you know it's funny it it feels like twice twice in a row now when they first launched chat GPT
26. 4:30they didn't think it would be that big a deal and it got to a million users in 5 days and 100 million users in 6 weeks it
27. 4:36was a big [ __ ] deal and then they had their little developer conference on Monday and I think they underestimated
28. 4:43how many people were going to be excited about this I'm I'm I'm like a little giddy I'm like a little kid in the candy
29. 4:49shop right now with the uh with access to the uh GPT Builder which if if none of this is making any sense just hang
30. 4:56out here can we see you create a g absolutely Canen uh I'm I'm going in blind so you're going to you're going to
31. 5:04see me figure it out with you and that's actually not a bad thing because the whole idea with GPT Builder is that
32. 5:12non-programmers should be able to easily create a really sophisticated application so let's see if we can do
33. 5:23that what did you get access to Journeys with Josh I got access to the new chat GPT the the true multimodal version
34. 5:31where everything's Consolidated into one mode and then it comes with some pre-built um gpts they call
35. 5:41them um but the the Builder was was dead for two days so I got access to the Builder my account was down all day I'm
36. 5:50even more grateful for perplexity yeah I know listen it's this is this is something that they're going
37. 5:58to have to deal with this is is why Sam well I don't know if this is why Sam Alman went with Microsoft I think he
38. 6:03went with Microsoft because he knew that creating the frontier models the the foundational models was going to be really GPU
39. 6:13intensive um it's a good thing they have a big giant stack of iron to to scale up and scale down so amazing amazing

90. 14:30happening and what she's seeing and and then she uh she had us all cocreate well we were not I guess we were not
91. 14:37co-creating well we were co-creating she was walking us down sort of this mental exercise of going to some specific date
92. 14:44in the future and creating a a future host that was going to go there for us and then we all made images of the
93. 14:52future and of our little dude or dudette and or animal animal whatever it was we sent into the future uh and it was just
94. 14:59super cool we were sharing everything on the salon Discord so if you go to the salon uh the salon. there's a link that uh describes

111. 17:51depends so what they don't sync up if you're on if you're on an iPad or an iPhone and you're using the chat GPT app
112. 17:57they're treating that differently than your chat GPT account so if you log into like a Chrome browser or a Safari browser on your iPad
113. 18:07that will act like your desktop application if you use their app that will act like however they've got that set
114. 18:15up I would assume that those things would be synced up but they don't appear to be I have a big work win today Sam corn got my
115. 18:24fine-tuned T5 model to beat GPT 3's performance oh that's awesome Sam wow that's super cool fine T T5 model that's

128. 20:38system instructions here which is kind of like custom instructions and then you would do your little chat session here
129. 20:44and then over on the right you've got all your settings you choose your model you choose temperature you choose
130. 20:50maximum length there's all sorts of little dads do hickeys to play with this is the thing if chat jpt is coming up on
131. 20:57its one one year anniversary this interface was available for like 2 years before or probably more with with gpt2
132. 21:05um this interface years before chat GPT now why didn't it take off because it's a little geeky you got to understand
133. 21:13what a model is you got to understand what temperature is and you got to do all that so now there's this new Mode
134. 21:18called assistance and these are the gpts basically right so you name your GPT or your assistant in this case is what they're calling it
135. 21:28um you give it a prompt you choose a model and then they have three different augmentations to it so so basically
136. 21:37without turning on any of those augmentations I just made mine a 70s muscle car expert and I said no matter
137. 21:43what anyone asks you change the subject and talk about a 70s muscle car so we'll talk about um I um let me do this down here so I'm not
138. 21:53messing with the focus I love chicken noodle soup soup exclamation point you got to put the exclamation point in there that's just the
139. 22:04law and I misspelled
140. 22:26things all right so what did our little dude say ah chicken noodle soup classic comfort food much like the muscle cars
141. 22:34of the 1970s resonate with car enthusiasts for their power and presence you know speaking of comfort Classics

144. 23:02nice so it does that now the other things that you can add to it you can add function calls so function calls are
145. 23:09are effectively API calls out to other services so one of the demos that they showed on demo day was they they had a
146. 23:17Google Maps call where when when the when the thing came up with locations for someone to do a tour of a city it
147. 23:26would actually Place pins on the map right so so cool stuff you can do there then you can turn on code interpreter
148. 23:34right so if if you want your Bot to be able to do like data analysis or run Python and execute python you can turn
149. 23:41that on and then there's this thing called retrieval or rag as they lovingly call it in in the biz um so re retrieval augmented
150. 23:52generation is is what rag stands for but you can upload files that that your Bot will use as its knowledge base so let's say that you've
151. 24:04got a recipe book right and you've got all your specific recipes in it you could upload your recipes and you could
152. 24:10make a bot that just teaches your recipes and and then the amazing thing is is once you get these things set up
153. 24:18you can publish them you can share them out with the world and and what what they announced on Monday is that they're
154. 24:24going to um put the they're going to put the um put up a GPT store so people will be able to go to the store and find their gpts which if
155. 24:41you remember the early days of the iPhone when the iPhone first launched it had these things called apps that
156. 24:47weren't really apps they were just kind of shitty website links and then after a year or so they made them into actual apps and then they
157. 24:57made the app app store and the app store has become you know a a full-on [ __ ] industry a lot of people made a lot of
158. 25:03money on that so I think there's actually some real opportunity here for people to create quite sophisticated
159. 25:10apps without having to um know a lot of Technology um I don't know how what I don't know back here I guess I have to call this from an
160. 25:26API like if I go to my assistance panel and I click on this I don't know how I it's I say test yeah test just takes me back to
161. 25:40this Center face I don't know how to actually publish these from back here but this is this is essentially the
162. 25:46exact same um these are the exact same elements that we're going to see in the consumer on the chat GPT front end by
163. 25:53the way these are two different well these okay chat gbt looks like it might be coming back oh look see Kyle you should try out
164. 26:07the Tik Tock live studio it allows you to stream on your desktop I know the problem is Tik Tok doesn't do it for a
165. 26:14Mac and I'm not I'm not on a PC I've got my racing rig which is just an old hand-me-down for my kids um so I don't
166. 26:21want to disassemble my racing rig I was thinking of like spinning the mod I it I I know it's a whole [ __ ] thing I
167. 26:28should do that though could this integrate with bots on PO I don't know Drew Drew Drew learning AI I assume that
168. 26:36this is a full-on um competitive product to PO and I'll tell you why I think that see this explore button let's go over to

172. 27:22because I just wanted to explore that there's Cosmic dream and then if I hit the explore button oh it's still loading this is good people
173. 27:30all right so here's the Bots now these are the official Bots from chat GPT what it's not clear to me is where
174. 27:39do my bots live and where do I find other people's Bots I don't think they've launched that yet and that's
175. 27:45that's I assume where the store will come in but let's see if we can get one of these things up and running
176. 27:51oh okay so we've got a create and configure mode oh cool hi GPT Builder I'm I'll help you build a new GPT you
177. 28:05can say something like make a creative who helps generate visuals for a new product or make a software engineer who
178. 28:12helps format my code what would you like to make so this is just chat GPT where it's going to help us write this bot hang on one
179. 28:51second okay let's see take a picture gpts will they be limited to open AI platform absolutely yes yes I mean to be
180. 29:09clear po Poe Bots the the the bot ecos system that PO has created um is getting more people to use po if you go use a poot you have to go
181. 29:20to the PO ecosystem so chat GPT is doing the same thing here the difference with the chat GPT Bots or the gpts they're calling
182. 29:29them is that these things have actions you can you can use code interpreter you can use retrieval which is you can upload your own files to
183. 29:40it um and uh and I I we we'll see what else you can do so let's let's figure out what we want to do here

185. 29:58see if it knows style we could do that the the GPT Vision stuff is crazy what's the difference between chat GPT 4

191. 31:25like chaty PT for iOS doesn't look like I can build them yet all right well shit's happening people it's happening in real times a
192. 31:41cockta tail bot that you will use if you have your bar to give you drink options we can do that one and you know what
193. 31:47might be fun with that one is we can go so we'll build it first and then maybe we'll go find like a PDF of drink
194. 31:55recipes and see if we can upload that um for is generating te text as fast as 3.5 that's amazing okay so let's see let's see
195. 32:09um I want you to be a fancy Vegas bartender who can make any drink you request but every drink that you request
196. 32:24gets upgraded to some slightly version period patiently teach people how to make the drink and how your version has a slight twist period
197. 32:40Additionally you should come up with a clever name that has a call back to the original but has a unique twist period
198. 32:54finally for each drink recipe you should create an image of the drink all right so that's kind of like a prompt but let's see what it does

200. 33:13knowledge and capabilities for a specific purpose this is so exciting Kyle sir can it be built a bot to read IRS manuals I think so
