Description

Friday Night Date Night! Kyle Shannon discusses the implications of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and introduces an upcoming back-to-basics AI crash course. He shares a thought-provoking AI-generated video, "Last Call Before AGI," which depicts a dystopian future where society votes on whether to activate AGI. Kyle believes AGI's arrival is inevitable, comparing its impact to the advent of the World Wide Web and emphasizing the need to adapt. He also touches on the anxieties surrounding AI, particularly job displacement, and advocates for embracing the positive potential of this transformative technology. Technical difficulties with Midjourney and Crea, AI art generation tools, provide a humorous counterpoint to the serious discussion. Kyle attempts to demonstrate Crea's motion transfer feature but encounters obstacles, ultimately succeeding in creating a short video for Twitter. He encourages viewers to share information about his upcoming five-day AI crash course, starting Monday, which will cover various topics, including an introduction to AI, ChatGPT, creativity, using multiple AI tools, and a Q&A. Come back Monday at 8:30 PM MT for our Free Back To Basics Course! #AI #AGI #ArtificialIntelligence #AICrashCourse #Midjourney #Crea #AIArt #TechNews 00:00:00 Friday Night Date Night 00:00:15 Annoying AC Sounds 00:02:32 Secret David Song 00:03:02 Dog Interrupts Song 00:04:25 Live Stream Experiment 00:05:30 AI Learning Lab Intro 00:06:33 Back To Basics Course 00:07:04 AI Discussion Preview 00:08:24 Technical Difficulties 00:09:32 Producer Brandon Joins 00:12:23 Screen Sharing Issues 00:14:30 Back To Basics Promotion 00:16:01 YouTube Monetization Test 00:18:01 Last Call Before AGI 00:20:27 AGI Video Playback 00:25:39 Post-Video Discussion 00:28:11 Dystopian Future Themes 00:31:03 AI's Impact On Art 00:34:02 AI Doomers And Nuance 00:36:54 Adapting To AI's Impact 00:39:40 Embracing The Inevitable 00:41:00 Crea Motion Transfer Demo 00:43:27 Agents And Data Deletion 00:45:14 Midjourney Character Creation 00:51:23 Troubleshooting Midjourney 00:55:00 Recording A Performance 00:57:46 Midjourney Tech Support 01:00:30 Crea Rendering Process 01:02:54 Sharing On Twitter 01:06:16 Video Voice Swap 01:08:36 Mercury In Retrograde 01:10:32 Weekend Homework 01:11:58 Promoting The Course

0:26 You and I get all alone.
0:29 [Music]
0:30 Sunday morning here at home.
0:35 Sky's blue and a coffee strong is true.
0:43 Then I open my eyes to a dream realized
0:47 in front of me
0:51 and I haven't got a clue what in the
0:54 world is happening to me.
0:58 Uh,
1:01 think I think I'm happy
1:04 like first day summer vacation. Happy.
1:08 Got to get a little rest and relaxation.
1:11 Happy
1:13 like choir on Sunday morning singing
1:15 true.
1:17 What's going on, champ? What are you
1:18 doing down here? Why you down here? Go
1:20 out. Go out to your old spot, you
1:22 weirdo. Why you at my ankles? I got a
1:25 dog at my ankles, people. It's Friday
1:27 night date night. You got your nachos?
1:32 Dirty Hot Pocket.
1:36 Dirty microwave. Hot pocket. Come on,
1:38 people.
1:39 Oh, man.
1:41 Let's see.
1:48 AC is loud on Tik Tok. All right, I'll
1:50 turn it off. I'm just going to sweat my
1:52 ass off. This is what I do for you
1:54 people.
1:57 [Music]
2:11 Oh,
2:13 hello.
2:14 [Music]
2:32 heard there was a secret
2:37 David played at a place of love.
2:42 You don't really care for music, do you?
2:50 Goes like this. philosoph.
2:53 [Music]
3:03 Your howling. Your howling distracted
3:05 me.
3:07 I forgot my chords cuz of you. You big
3:09 fat dog.
3:12 Am I fat shaming you? Is this fat
3:14 shaming? Am I fat shaming you? You're a
3:16 little tubby. You're a little tubby. You
3:19 know you're tubby, right? Ready.
3:25 [Music]
3:32 [Music]
3:39 But I hope there was a secret
3:44 David played that please the Lord.
3:47 Uh, you don't really care for music, do
3:51 you?
3:54 It goes like this. The fourth, the fifth
3:57 on a fall in a major lift by King
4:01 composing. Hallelujah.
4:04 [Music]
4:05 Hallelujah.
4:08 Hallelujah.
4:12 Hallelu.
4:13 [Applause]
4:15 Hallelujah.
4:16 [Music]
4:18 Oh, yeah.
4:21 [Music]
4:25 All right. Air's going off
4:28 so as not to bug the people on Tik Tok.
4:32 Little divas over there on Tik Tok.
4:36 What's going on? What's going on, good
4:38 people? All right. Wait. We've got
4:40 something. We got Hello.
4:44 Here we are. here.
4:46 Gareth,
4:58 I don't quite know what that means.
5:00 Producer Brandon. Producer Brandon.
5:04 Pedro.
5:05 Hello, Pedro. Vote for Pedro. Vote for
5:08 Pedro.
5:10 Pedro's coming in from uh
5:14 Oh, I see. Uh
5:23 Pedro's uh coming to to us on LinkedIn
5:25 from Houston, Texas.
5:29 [Music]
5:31 By the way, if you're new here, this is
5:33 the AI learning lab. My name is Kyle
5:36 Shannon. We just got a few folks in.
5:41 [Music]
5:47 I wonder what happens.
5:51 Can the people that normally find us on
5:53 YouTube not find us now because we're
5:55 going live in a different way. Brandon,
5:56 by the way, we're experimenting tonight
5:58 with a different kind of live stream.
6:00 So, the live stream that we're going to
6:01 use for
6:03 I got the YouTube notification.
6:07 All right. But if I just go to YouTube
6:09 right now. Oh, I'm in YouTube.
6:12 So, if I just go here and I switch
6:15 accounts
6:17 and go to AI Learning Lab, I don't need
6:20 to be that account. But if I go to that
6:22 channel,
6:24 do I see
6:27 the live? Yeah.
6:33 Back to basics course preview. All
6:36 right, so that's live.
6:38 I'd click on it, but it'll probably make
6:40 the universe invert. We don't want to
6:43 split the time the time space continuum.
6:47 Hey, it's really hot now. You're all of
6:50 you people that were like, "It's too
6:51 noisy on TikTok.
6:54 It's really noisy. It's so noisy." Well,
6:57 now it's hot.
6:59 I'm hot
7:02 because I don't have the air.
7:05 Anyway, happy Friday night, date night,
7:06 everybody. Um,
7:09 we're going to talk about some AI stuff
7:11 tonight. We're going to talk about the
7:14 the exciting back to basics crash course
7:19 that starts next Monday.
7:23 Oh, let me do this. Let me switch little
7:25 tabs there.
7:30 [Music]
7:37 [Music]
7:41 All right. Fantastic. Fantastic. Turn on
7:44 the AC.
7:50 Is it best to tap
7:53 at share?
7:55 I don't know. Steo, I don't know what's
7:58 best. Ocean says, "Hi." Hello, Ocean.
8:01 Good day to you, sen.
8:08 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Got that. All right.
8:11 Beautiful. Beautiful.
8:12 [Music]
8:16 Uh uh um.
8:24 Be cool, dude.
8:27 [Music]
8:52 S in this lonely town.
8:55 Wonder when things are going to change.
8:59 [Music]
9:02 Drew my life away.
9:05 Seems these dreams have turned to a
9:07 bunch of dust clouds.
9:12 Getting my nerve up, but my past is
9:16 pulling me down.
9:21 Wondering how long
9:24 this black sheep going to stick around.
9:28 [Music]
9:32 >> Somebody told me once before, he said,
9:35 "You can never go home again.
9:39 Won't you leave?"
9:42 Tell me things to steer me away. Yeah.
9:46 From the truth of who I am and what I
9:49 believe.
9:50 So I thanked him for his two sins with a
9:53 handshake
9:55 and some sympathy.
9:57 Yeah.
9:59 Back to my blue jeans
10:02 and headed for this big price
10:07 of my freedom.
10:10 Bye-bye
10:12 black sheep to the black sheep of the
10:16 family.
10:19 Okay. Um, Champy's distracted. He's
10:23 distracted. He thinks he thinks there's
10:25 bad people outside.
10:28 Oh, no.
10:30 Sorry for the snafu there, Vicki. Yeah,
10:33 our timing. The timing. It's a time zone
10:35 thing that apparently having a producer
10:37 in a different time zone uh causes
10:40 issues.
10:42 >> Hey, Kyle.
10:43 >> Hey. Hey, producer Brandon. Which which
10:46 time zone are you in right now?
10:48 >> I think I'm in I'm in the whatever time
10:50 zone the black bar is supposed to be in.
10:53 >> Um I have a back of house question for
10:58 you. How many stickies can you see on
11:02 our backend board? If
11:04 >> I used to see one, but I saw you moved
11:06 it. I can I can scroll between them, but
11:08 I can only see the yellow one's the one
11:10 I usually keep active. I could make it
11:13 >> so I can see them. Uh yeah, just because
11:15 the um for those of you who are tuning
11:18 in on YouTube right now as we test for
11:20 our back to basics course next week, uh
11:24 we're not able to surface the comments
11:26 the way we typically do and I was trying
11:29 to pass them to Kyle in a sneaky way,
11:32 but it's coming through at least on my
11:34 screen in about size four font. So, I'm
11:37 thinking we might have to use it on the
11:41 uh I guess that would be a purple sticky
11:44 or pink sticky. Um or I could just put
11:46 the YouTube comments there. So, if you
11:48 can get two on your screen,
11:50 >> if you here I can if you put the pink
11:52 sticky below the yellow sticky then it
11:55 then it'll work.
11:57 >> Okay.
11:58 >> Because I've got a I got a narrow slot
12:01 and now Yeah. See, now I'm good.
12:04 >> All right. See, this is the kind of
12:06 cutting edge producing that that that uh
12:11 you don't normally you don't normally
12:13 see. See, you're not going to get this
12:14 next week when we're doing the big the
12:16 big event. You're not going to get this
12:18 kind of inside baseball.
12:20 >> You We should tell people about that
12:22 event. Speaking of which,
12:23 >> speaking of which, am I not sharing my
12:25 screen? I'm not sharing my screen, am I?
12:28 Oh, I'm sharing something different. Let
12:30 me share
12:32 this. This this this this this.
12:36 There you go. People see that right
12:38 there. Next Monday. Next Monday.
12:43 Um we're doing a back to basics AI crash
12:47 course. Well, it starts Monday. It's
12:49 going to be all five days next week. Tik
12:51 Tok pin source camp. So, this whole
12:54 thing is being held together by sticky
12:56 notes. Not just sticky notes, virtual
12:58 sticky notes in Miro in a in a in a
13:01 crappy project management
13:04 or or process design flow
13:09 software. Okay, I can't take it. Sorry.
13:11 Closing the window. Turning back on the
13:13 air. You're just going to have to suffer
13:14 through it.
13:16 It just got immediately hot and it was
13:18 hot outside blowing hot air air in on
13:20 me. I'm not doing it. I'm not doing it.
13:24 All right.
13:31 [Music]
13:33 Okay. Yeah. So, I definitely have two
13:35 stickies up and in my view window.
13:39 And I have a black bar
13:42 there. That actually explains a lot.
13:46 [Music]
14:30 Oh, good lord. Good people. Let's get
14:32 this show on the road. Let's get this
14:35 show on the road. Let's get this show
14:38 going. Anyway, next week, be there. Be
14:42 there. Be there. Be there.
14:45 um
14:47 where where this is going to live. If
14:49 you haven't seen it, if you haven't
14:51 subscribed to YouTube, go to the AI
14:53 Learning Lab YouTube channel
14:56 and that's at LearningLab- AI on
15:00 YouTube.
15:01 So, we're going to start out on Tik Tok,
15:03 AI Learning Lab,
15:06 at 8:00 PM Mountain, and then at 8:30,
15:08 we're going to switch over to YouTube to
15:12 do this five-day crash course. Day one,
15:16 all about AI. Day two, all about Chat
15:18 GPT. Day three, all about creativity.
15:21 Day four, bringing it all together,
15:23 using multiple tools to solve the same
15:25 thing.
15:27 Day five, Friday night Q&A. All right.
15:38 Oh,
15:41 apparently we're also testing
15:43 monetization on YouTube. So, it is
15:46 possible that pre-roll ads interrupt.
15:51 Right. Right. What? I'm about to say
15:52 something interesting. You're gonna get
15:54 an ad for some barbecue sauce.
16:01 Gareth is going to watch on three
16:03 devices for us. Thank you, Gareth.
16:05 Thanks for taking one for the team.
16:10 Oh man, that's hilarious. Um, okay.
16:16 So, there's that. Um,
16:18 all right. What are we gonna go do? I
16:20 wanna I want to play a video
16:23 that Sam Elliott brought to our
16:26 attention.
16:28 I have to change my Wait, did you just
16:32 resize my my window?
16:36 >> I made the pink sticky note bigger
16:37 because you were ignoring it.
16:40 I took your question to GPT and asked
16:42 what
16:44 what you can do that I don't know you
16:47 can do with a little twist made it
16:49 self-improvement and I was shocked to
16:51 get a whole lot of pages. So, thank you.
16:53 Oh, cool. Awesome.
16:58 Yeah, this not having the the comments
17:01 the YouTube comments in the in the
17:03 chat's kind of a bummer. It is kind of a
17:06 bummer.
17:14 >> So, the early feedback is that the ads
17:17 are not polling well.
17:21 >> They're not polling well, meaning the
17:22 ads are annoying as crap.
17:26 >> Uh Gareth wants to put a uh an agent to
17:29 task to watch the ads on his behalf.
17:34 Oh, that's funny.
17:37 And uh yeah, it's we we might adjust
17:42 that setting for next week.
17:43 >> All right.
17:46 >> Tried to tried to skim a little off the
17:48 top on the free on the free training,
17:50 but you know, got to give the people
17:52 what they want.
17:53 >> Gotta give the people what they want.
17:55 Yeah. You don't you don't want a
17:56 pre-roll ad rolling when right in the
17:57 middle of the good stuff.
18:00 Um
18:01 All right. So, let me go grab let me
18:04 change my let me change my sharing
18:06 settings here
18:12 and then let me go to
18:15 last call before AGI.
18:24 Okay. So the context for this
18:30 um
18:32 is today in office hours.
18:37 Hello Solomon. What's happening?
18:39 Welcome, welcome, welcome, welcome
18:41 anyone who's new here. Uh so if you're
18:43 new here, my name is Kyle Shannon. This
18:45 is the uh AI learning lab. I'm about to
18:48 play a video. This is a video by Hang
18:51 on, let me let me check the artist here.
18:55 um Kingmaker K&G MKR
18:59 um who does does a lot of different
19:02 stuff. He's done another kind of AI
19:05 video. Um this one's this one's really
19:08 good. This one
19:10 is is really quite good. Um
19:14 and so Sam Elliott brought this to the
19:17 attention of AI office hours today on
19:21 LinkedIn. And so we watched this there
19:23 and we were talking about it and I just
19:24 thought it'd be fun to play because um
19:32 I'm feeling like we're we're we're
19:36 entering a phase where people who are
19:40 not
19:41 into AI or people who are actively
19:44 resisting AI are going to be overrun
19:46 with it anyway. Um, and and this video
19:50 just feels like it's it's kind of
19:53 commentary on that. Um, and I just think
19:56 it's I think it's a it's a really good
19:58 video, but b I think it's worth us
20:01 exploring some of these themes because
20:03 this is this is the this is the timeline
20:06 we're living in, as they say in the
20:08 funnies. Tik Tok question before I go.
20:10 Tobias,
20:12 are you recording it next week? We are
20:13 recording it next week and we're going
20:15 to we're going to have the uh the if you
20:20 watch it live, it's free, but we're
20:21 going to have the recordings of the five
20:24 sessions uh on demand. All right, so
20:27 here we go.
20:29 >> You did it, man. Crazy bastard that did
20:33 it. Godamn.
20:34 >> So, what you voting?
20:35 >> Artificial general intelligence.
20:38 We voting yes tomorrow. Just in time for
20:42 last call.
20:47 >> Oh, they build a machine smarter than
20:51 us.
20:57 Vote yes or no tonight. Turn it on or
20:59 keep it off. Could cure what's killing
21:02 mama. Could kill us y'all.
21:06 So we sitting here trying to decide our
21:09 fate.
21:10 [Applause]
21:12 like a vote ever.
21:16 Last call before AGI.
21:21 So tonight we getting high. Yo, let me
21:25 hit that. Last call before AI.
21:30 last call before they decide
21:37 cuz you know this [ __ ] happen no matter
21:39 what. Technocrats want permission.
21:43 Now that's a funny lie.
21:46 If they so damn smart why they asking
21:50 you and I. Oh. Oh, I think I know why
21:54 they drown my daddy in their debt. Kill
21:57 my sisters with their pills. Now they're
22:00 asking.
22:02 Oh, pretty please.
22:07 Can our helpful harmless robot pay your
22:10 bills?
22:12 Last call before agi
22:15 will it know I'll let grandma die alone?
22:18 [Music]
22:21 Will it judge me worse than that 29
22:25 nurse who held a phone?
22:29 [Music]
22:34 Will they know I stole from mama while
22:36 she slept?
22:37 [Music]
22:38 Will it tell her I'm the reason she got
22:41 nothing left?
22:44 Oh
22:46 [ __ ]
22:49 Last call before a
22:53 last call.
22:54 [Music]
22:57 Oh, they saying fix humanity, make our
23:00 world clean. But Lord knows I've been
23:03 dirty since I was 13. So when it heals a
23:06 species, tell me please, will it decide
23:08 I'm the virus or just a disease?
23:14 >> Let's go.
23:16 They say he'll fix what's broken in us
23:18 all. But what if broken is all I've ever
23:20 been? If I go to church right now and
23:23 confess about my crimes and my lies,
23:25 will the machine process my forgiveness?
23:29 Doubt it.
23:31 Last call. Last call. Last call
23:36 before a
23:39 [Music]
23:41 movie.
23:45 [Music]
23:48 >> Deep people vote yes tonight to turn it
23:50 on. Could save so many souls could show
23:54 us the way or could kill us. They say so
23:59 the seeding ho awaiting our fate like
24:03 our destiny vast never
24:09 >> you know my kid asked me yesterday
24:12 daddy
24:13 what's it mean to matter
24:16 I said baby
24:18 broken things like me are about to find
24:21 out
24:23 [Music]
24:24 >> last dance before AGI I
24:28 will
24:30 know my sacriices
24:32 judge me dregulators
24:35 and ludits who protested.
24:43 [Applause]
24:46 As you can see behind me, fear is
24:48 driving people to extremes. Many
24:50 shoppers tell us they're worried about
24:52 supply chain disruptions if AGI goes
24:54 online.
24:58 [Music]
25:00 Last dance for a
25:04 [Music]
25:10 [Applause]
25:10 [Music]
25:16 last dance before hi
25:21 [Music]
25:27 [Applause]
25:28 [Music]
25:39 Anyway, that was that. Archetypo wants
25:42 to sponsor a shot collar. What did I
25:44 miss? Is audio not playing or something?
25:55 Oh, instead of the ads. Oh,
26:01 we've turned off monetization.
26:05 All right, good. All right, that's this
26:07 is why we're doing the testing tonight.
26:08 So, we're figuring it out, people. Wow.
26:11 What was this? So Cam Katkin, this was
26:13 if you go to um uh last call before AGI
26:18 on YouTube, that's the name of the
26:20 video. Um this was a video that that Sam
26:23 Elliott brought to our attention today
26:27 in the uh in in AI office hours. Um
26:32 it was uh like like this this video I
26:35 mean there are a couple of things about
26:36 it. Like it's kind of a cool it's kind
26:39 of a cool
26:41 idea that in the future there's going to
26:43 be
26:45 you know this
26:47 either nationwide or worldwide vote on
26:50 do we bring AI AGI
26:53 online. Um,
26:58 and I just it's not going to happen that
27:00 way, right? Like it's just,
27:03 you know, I think it's just going to
27:04 it's just going to be there and just all
27:06 of a sudden, you know, we're going to
27:08 need to deal with it. Um, I don't think
27:10 it's going to be as dramatic as all
27:12 this, but I I love the I love the idea
27:14 of it. I love the sort of, you know, 10
27:16 years in the future, the the big event
27:20 where, you know, all the current tech
27:22 overlords of today are now, you know, 10
27:24 years older graying and,
27:27 you know, super powerful leaders of the
27:30 world. Um,
27:32 yeah, crazy, crazy just, but it's a
27:35 really well done piece. You know, I
27:37 think it's fascinating that it's a piece
27:38 that is kind of this dystopian view of
27:42 the future.
27:44 Um,
27:46 but it's all done with AI. Um, I just
27:49 thought it was particularly well done.
27:51 You know that it was clearly crafted. It
27:53 was clear clearly edited professionally.
27:57 Um, you know, written professionally,
28:00 executed professionally, but with
28:01 someone who really knows their [ __ ] with
28:03 AI. Uh, the video is really good.
28:07 It's not going to be a vote. I agree.
28:09 Yeah. It's just going to be they're just
28:10 gonna turn it on. Just going to be
28:12 there. Digital Gods
28:15 um AI version of Been Down So Long. It
28:18 looks like up to me. Yeah. Why so
28:20 apocalyptic? I I just I think the why so
28:23 apocalyptic, you know, this is one of
28:26 the things that that struck me about
28:29 this today is um this feels very
28:33 thematically in line with the Theo
28:35 Vaughn interview. If you haven't seen
28:36 the Theo Vaughn interview of um of Sam
28:41 Alman, Theo Theo comes in and he does it
28:45 in a really polite way, but he comes in
28:46 with a very dystopian view of the
28:48 future. And it's all just based on
28:51 stories he's got in his head about who
28:54 he thinks,
28:55 you know, AI CEOs are and what he thinks
28:58 the technology is. and and it's it's
29:02 like 90 minutes of of sort of
29:04 mythbusting
29:06 um where where he has a certain
29:08 presumption and then Sam Alman kind of
29:10 shatters that worldview and in the end
29:13 Theo Vaughn is kind of left like
29:16 I don't I don't know how to feel about
29:18 this like like I I feel like in talking
29:21 with you I should feel optimistic and
29:23 but I also feel like I should be scared
29:25 and Sam Alman's like yeah you should be
29:27 both and it's it's sort left in this
29:30 weird sort of limbo. And I I feel like
29:32 this piece is very much, you know,
29:36 in that vein where it's like, you know,
29:38 it's an it's an inevitability that this
29:41 thing's going to happen that even if we
29:42 put it up to a vote, this thing's going
29:45 to happen and, you know, the the
29:47 resistance is going to resist it and
29:49 things like that. I also the other thing
29:52 that that the aesthetic of this reminded
29:54 me of there was this moment
29:57 in 1994 or 1995. I think it was 95
30:02 and I was living in Soho in New York
30:04 City and
30:07 I had started Urban Desires, my online
30:10 magazine and and I had just started
30:12 agency.com and I was walking with my
30:15 wife down downtown Soho in Prince Street
30:19 and I saw a table with an artist that
30:22 had a bunch of art on the table and then
30:24 behind him on a brick wall was sort of
30:27 like, you know, slathered on a big piece
30:30 of fabric that had like the name of an
30:33 art show and a and a a worldwide web
30:36 URL. It said https colon slash and then
30:40 had the the whole thing. Um,
30:44 and it was the first time I had seen
30:49 anything
30:51 that was tied to the the the digital
30:54 world of the worldwide web with the
30:56 physical world. they were sort of
30:57 brought together for the first time that
31:00 I had seen it. Um, and it
31:04 it really stuck with me because it felt
31:06 it felt like a significant thing like
31:09 this this worldwide web thing isn't just
31:12 for geeks,
31:14 right? Artists have noticed it. artists
31:16 are using it and and this video very
31:19 much captured that same kind of vibe
31:22 that
31:26 AI like the worldwide web is going to
31:29 change everything. It's going to change
31:31 everything just just like the worldwide
31:33 web did. I think AI is going to change
31:35 it faster and more profoundly. Um,
31:39 but we're right at that flux point right
31:42 now where even people that don't want to
31:45 deal with AI are being forced to deal
31:47 with it. Mickey Jackson, the video
31:49 reminds me of graffiti art. Yes, if that
31:51 makes any sense. It that that's exactly
31:53 Mickey, that's exactly what what what
31:56 just what popped into my head was this
31:58 graffiti in New York City of a of a URL
32:00 in 1995. It's amazing archetypal going
32:04 to be like every other update. It'll be
32:06 game-changing for a week and then boring
32:08 by the end of the month. That's that's
32:10 exactly my
32:12 And in the Theo Vaughn interview,
32:15 there's a moment where Sam Alman
32:18 um Theo Vaughn asks him, I think,
32:23 like, does it ever scare you? And Sam
32:26 Alman said he had gotten an email and he
32:29 didn't understand the email and he took
32:31 that email and put it into chat GPT5 and
32:34 it answered it flawlessly. And I maybe
32:36 it was a technical thing. I don't know
32:38 what it was. Um
32:40 and he sat back and he he said he
32:43 realized in that moment how unnecessary
32:45 he was that that he was the bottleneck
32:48 that he was not
32:51 really needed in that interaction and
32:56 and then he said and then he just moved
32:57 on and did the next thing. So, he had
33:00 this real revelation of, "Holy [ __ ]
33:02 this thing's way smarter than me." And
33:04 he just went on and did the next thing.
33:06 And I I do I kind of agree uh that that
33:09 it's going to be like that. Silverf Fox,
33:11 I think dystopian can be healthy. How do
33:14 you know what's good unless you truly
33:16 know what's bad? Yeah. I And I
33:20 absolutely agree with that. I just my
33:22 problem with the whole dystopian
33:26 um the doomers, the AI doomers is that
33:30 like like the vaugh interview I thought
33:32 I thought was a really good example of
33:34 this that they've got ideas of what the
33:38 dystopian future looks like that are not
33:40 based in their experience of using AI.
33:43 They're based in their fantasies of what
33:46 they think
33:48 the tech elite is and what they think AI
33:51 is and what Hollywood has told them AI
33:54 is. So there's this whole vision of a
33:57 dystopian future that's disconnected
34:00 from people that actually use the tool.
34:03 Um Tik Tok pin um dynamic Dion anyone
34:08 who doesn't trust AI clearly isn't using
34:12 it properly. Yeah. And I listen I think
34:15 you can use AI and not trust it. But but
34:19 it's
34:22 I think the thing that I get the most
34:24 from people who don't use AI
34:28 is that there's no nuance to it, right?
34:31 It's just evil. It's just theft. It's
34:35 just bad. It's just going to kill us.
34:39 There's no possibility of it. It's just
34:42 going to take jobs, right? There's no
34:46 possibility of it doing anything else
34:48 like improving someone's life or curing
34:51 diabetes, type 1 diabetes. I think there
34:54 are now nine new patients going on
34:57 whatever the treatment is to cure,
35:01 not treat, to cure type 1 diabetes. Like
35:04 that's happening right now as we speak.
35:10 But the doomers,
35:12 you know, none of that's all
35:15 Gareth Hood. If AGI ever happens, the
35:18 difference in how AI people will handle
35:21 it versus non AI people will be miles
35:23 apart.
35:25 Well, that's the thing. I just I just um
35:31 I just get the sense that we're about to
35:33 enter,
35:37 you know, maybe it's by the end of 2025.
35:41 We're going to enter a phase where even
35:44 people that don't want to deal with AI
35:46 are going to have to deal with it. I
35:48 just got one of the the uh the
35:51 um
35:53 lead creative people from from
35:55 agency.com days, Andy Hobsbomb, who's a
35:58 who's a good friend of mine and who is a
36:01 uh he was the um chief creative officer
36:06 of online magic that agency.com
36:08 acquired. Really, really talented guy,
36:10 really smart, amazing musician.
36:13 Um, and I just got a correspondence from
36:16 him that he's like, you know, I said,
36:18 "How you doing?" He's like, "Yeah, I'm
36:19 doing fine. I'm doing good
36:20 professionally." He goes, "I'm a little
36:22 depressed as a musician."
36:25 And it's, you know, and I I was talking
36:28 Leah Leah today in the in the AI salon
36:32 mastermind conversation in the in the
36:34 founders hangout was just talking about
36:37 she feels a responsibility for the
36:39 people that are like the professional
36:42 lighting people that that she would hire
36:44 to do her photo shoots. She's like, I I
36:47 feel like I've got this personal
36:48 responsibility for them,
36:51 you know, to somehow hire them moving
36:53 forward.
36:55 And
36:57 you know, I I just
37:00 don't
37:02 like the world is changing around them.
37:04 I feel like it's on them to figure out
37:07 how to make themselves relevant in this
37:09 new world. And you know, someone who's
37:11 really good at lighting
37:14 can take those skills and apply them to
37:17 AI image generation, but it's just a
37:19 different thing. It's a fundamentally
37:21 different thing. But the people that are
37:23 going to be hired in the future are not
37:26 going to be the people that carry around
37:28 the lighting rigs, you know, at scale.
37:31 Uh Cam Katkin, I'm tired of dystopian.
37:33 Can we have an optimistic, hopeful solar
37:36 punk future? Well, we should make it. We
37:38 should absolutely make it. Archetypal
37:40 architect. I think we've had AGI for a
37:42 while now. We We just aren't clever
37:44 enough to realize it. I you know
37:48 I
37:50 they keep moving the goalpost on what
37:52 AGI is. I I had a personal AGI moment
37:56 when 01 came out almost a year ago. Um
37:59 where I realized I wasn't I didn't have
38:02 the kind of problems that I needed to
38:06 solve with a with a reasoning model.
38:09 And I'm like I can make them up. like I
38:12 can pretend like I've got something to
38:14 ask it.
38:16 And I, you know, I feel like like I'm an
38:19 ambitious creative person, right? I love
38:23 inventing stuff. I love synthesizing
38:25 stuff. I love thinking about stuff. I
38:27 love putting things in the world,
38:28 putting ideas in the world.
38:31 And I'm already at the point with AI
38:33 where I don't
38:35 know enough about what I want to do to
38:39 even know what to ask it to do.
38:44 And if you think about someone who's
38:45 just not playing with AI and doesn't
38:47 have that entrepreneurial thing and
38:48 doesn't have that drive, what are they
38:50 going to do with it? I guess maybe
38:51 they'll make books for their kids or
38:54 greeting cards or something like that.
38:56 Songs.
38:58 Um,
39:00 I bet people didn't get real excited
39:02 about the advent of human flight either,
39:04 but many of them live to see men on the
39:06 moon.
39:08 Yeah, I think that's right. Or or, you
39:11 know, to go back to the steam engine,
39:15 you know, predictions of, you know,
39:17 everyone's lives are going to be ruined
39:19 because these machines are going to
39:21 destroy 80% of the jobs. And they did.
39:25 80% of the farmer jobs went away. Well,
39:28 where did those people go? They went to
39:29 cities and they invented new kinds of
39:32 jobs, new kinds of economies.
39:35 So, that's that's that's kind of stuff
39:38 that happens.
39:41 But in the short term, it's absolutely
39:44 freaky. Uh, I'm with you, Cam, though. I
39:47 think that
39:50 let's find the silver lining here
39:52 because if it's inevitable then
39:58 let's make the [ __ ] best of it.
40:02 That that was another thing from the
40:03 Theo Vaughn interview with Sam Alman
40:05 where Sam Alman just said,
40:07 you know, I realize I'm gonna I'm going
40:10 to be in these high pressure situations
40:13 and why don't I just learn to like it
40:17 and just accept that I'm going to be in
40:19 this high pressure situation. So for us,
40:22 if we know that AGI is coming, well,
40:26 there's two ways we can handle that.
40:29 The map said AGI
40:32 And the what? The what? Move your
40:34 cursor. There you go. The myth said you
40:38 all feel like a cloud.
40:43 The map and the myth. I don't Is that a
40:45 That might be a cultural reference. I
40:47 don't know. Or was that in that video?
40:52 Oh no, I'm late. What did I miss? You
40:54 missed a good movie. Watched a five
40:56 minute movie.
41:01 I think I might go play with crea a
41:03 little bit and then uh my eye is bugging
41:07 me. I've got that coral abrasion thing
41:09 and and it's bugging me. So, I think I
41:11 might bug out a little early. Redo,
41:17 Mr.
41:19 I'm late. You got to redo it for me. Mr.
41:23 Go search uh on YouTube last call before
41:28 AGI. Go, champ. Jump. Go.
41:36 Uh.
41:42 All right. We're going to try We're
41:43 going to play with a new tool.
41:46 The other thing I'm noticing, Brandon,
41:48 is that um
41:52 tabs.
41:53 Oh, yeah. Um, the other thing I'm
41:55 noticing is that we have way less people
41:59 on YouTube than we do on
42:04 Tik Tok. And it's normally not like
42:06 that.
42:08 So, I don't know what to say.
42:12 Are we going to be doing audio here?
42:14 Yes, we are. So, let me do
42:21 Okay.
42:25 So
42:31 ah
42:36 okay
42:38 so I'm good. No sleeping in AI. I know.
42:40 Okay. So there's a new feature in Crea
42:44 called um motion transfer.
42:50 And so step one we're going to add a
42:52 character. So, we're going to go find
42:53 some. Let's go to
42:56 Oh, I'm just sharing. God damn this
42:59 sharing thing.
43:04 It's driving me crazy, people.
43:11 Oh, and then that screwed up, too.
43:15 Hang on.
43:17 Oh.
43:22 It's like, why is that screen so tiny?
43:28 Mr. IT tried chat GPT agents today. Have
43:31 you all played with agents? What are you
43:32 thinking?
43:34 Um,
43:37 let's see. I want to go to
43:41 >> Yes, producer Brandon.
43:42 >> Um, so two things. one on agents. Just
43:45 be careful because every um there's
43:49 reports that it if you connect it to
43:51 your Google Drive, it starts just
43:53 deleting stuff. So, that's not good.
43:58 >> Okay, that's good to know. That's good.
44:00 >> Also, every interaction you have with it
44:04 is costing you one of your credits. So,
44:08 if it asks, "Hey, do you need anything
44:10 else?" and you say, "No, I'm good."
44:12 That's a credit.
44:14 >> Really?
44:16 All right. That's good to know. Good to
44:18 know. All right.
44:19 >> Um, while I'm here.
44:22 >> Uhhuh.
44:23 >> Another preview question for next week.
44:26 Do you happen to still have YouTube
44:28 Studio open somewhere in the background?
44:33 >> No.
44:36 >> No, I don't.
44:38 >> Okay. Well, food for thought. Um, you
44:41 can pop out the chat from the studio.
44:47 So, that might help alleviate this whole
44:49 copy paste drama that we've had going on
44:51 behind the scenes for this entire show.
44:54 >> Oh, like I could I could open the studio
44:55 on my side and see the comments.
44:58 >> You could pop out the comments and run
45:00 them alongside next to stream.
45:02 >> Okay, got it. Okay, cool. That's good.
45:06 That's good.
45:06 >> Okay, bye.
45:07 >> All right, lovely. Thank you, producer
45:09 Brandon. Okay. Um,
45:15 what was I gonna do? I was gonna go to
45:16 midjourney.
45:23 All right, we're going to we're going to
45:24 look for a a character.
45:28 We can do that character. That's a crazy
45:31 ass character.
45:45 Let's go grab.
45:49 Is this a
45:54 Ah,
45:59 I don't get it. I really don't get it.
46:09 How do I go to this image?
46:29 So, what I'm doing right now is I'm I'm
46:31 I'm either going to create or I'm going
46:33 to look for
46:38 a character to animate.
46:46 could do Elon Musk, but that's kind of
46:48 shitty.
47:07 All
47:14 right. What are we going to do? Let's
47:16 Let's
47:19 We're going to do a 16 by9 image.
47:24 We're going to add a character reference
47:26 of
47:29 let's see who do we want to grab.
47:37 I think I want to grab the crazy ass
47:40 dude from Kyle Shannon Dreams. This dude
47:47 omni reference. Wait.
47:50 Oh, that's video start. I don't want
47:52 video start.
47:59 Why can I not do I'm here unavailable
48:01 with video. I don't want to do video.
48:04 I'm not in video. The hell's going on?
48:08 Shut up.
48:24 The hell is happening?
48:27 Um, what could be happening is it's
48:29 possible that MidJourney changed their
48:31 interface. It's also possible that I
48:33 don't know what's going on.
48:37 Draft mode
48:40 number seven.
48:44 How do I make something that's not a
48:45 video?
48:48 Click and drag to add. I don't want
48:50 that.
48:56 It's got a mind of its own. It's driving
48:58 me [ __ ] crazy. This is This is
49:01 bonkers. Why can I not add an omni
49:03 reference?
49:13 Does anybody know midjourney? Vicki, are
49:15 you here? Somebody, what is this? I'm in
49:19 MidJourney right now. I'm just trying to
49:20 make a character
49:23 and it's not letting me
49:27 not add it as a video frame.
49:31 It was weird all day.
49:38 You're no longer omnipotent, omnipotent.
49:48 Agents have taken over.
49:51 What?
49:53 Why is this doing this?
49:57 Am I whining?
50:08 Now is the time that reference make
50:11 images.
50:20 Starting frame
50:23 motion low high
50:31 help.
50:33 Does anybody know what I'm doing?
50:37 Maybe don't demo this next week.
50:45 I I'm totally confused. Let me Let me
50:47 restart. Let me reload the page. Maybe
50:50 this just a page load problem.
51:04 I I I I'm at a loss.
51:16 It's only letting me make video
51:20 if I want to add a reference.
51:24 Uh Vicki is uh asking what we're trying
51:27 to achieve. We're just trying to make a
51:29 photo, right?
51:30 >> Yeah. I'm trying to take this image
51:34 right here and drag it into Omni
51:37 Reference. But see how over here on the
51:39 left it says it's it's red and it says
51:42 starting frame. And
51:46 when I go to drop this as an omni
51:48 reference, it drops it as a start frame
51:50 and it won't let me not drop it as a
51:53 start frame. It won't let me drop it as
51:54 an omni reference.
51:59 >> Uh Garrick is saying you can't do omni
52:01 and video at the same time.
52:03 >> I don't I don't want to do video. I
52:05 don't I don't know how to turn off
52:07 making a video.
52:10 Like I'm just in the regular create
52:12 panel. And I'm gonna type in a prompt.
52:14 If I do like picture of Oh, maybe it's
52:18 because I don't have a prompt in here.
52:20 Picture of.
52:24 Now, if I do this, no. See, omnireence
52:26 is dead. I can't drag anything to omni
52:29 reference.
52:30 >> Vicki said it was doing it for her last
52:32 week, too. It won't let you drag to the
52:34 ref box. She doesn't know why.
52:37 >> Okay. All right. So, it's not me. All
52:39 right. So, we're just going to go grab
52:40 some existing image. Sorry about this,
52:43 people.
52:48 Um.
52:51 Oh, this is a good one.
52:57 All right. Let me edit this. I'm going
52:58 to go edit this. Oops.
53:06 edit.
53:09 Get rid of that and just say
53:14 um
53:18 carpet
53:20 say submit edit.
53:27 Um
53:31 Mercury's in retrograde grade. No [ __ ]
53:34 or programmers are in should be in
53:37 purgatory.
53:39 Okay, so we've got this image.
53:44 That's kind of cool with the garbage
53:45 down there. Let me upscale this thing.
53:49 Okay, so we're going to take this image
53:51 and we're going to go to Crea.
53:53 So Crea Crea has this new feature where
53:57 I can record a performance and it will
54:00 map all of my movements to this image.
54:04 In theory,
54:07 in theory, spent three plus hours
54:12 on it and got a dozen bizarre errors.
54:15 Same issue as Kyle just had. Dr. J. Oh,
54:18 good. It's not me. Listen, listen,
54:22 people. If you're new here, I absolutely
54:26 accept that what's what must be going
54:28 through your mind if you're still here
54:31 is idiot. And I don't disagree with you,
54:35 but sometimes it's not me.
54:38 Sometimes it is the tool.
54:41 A poor carpenter blames his tools. I
54:44 understand. I understand.
54:52 Sometimes it's the tool. Sometimes
54:55 you're the tool. Exactly. Exactly.
54:59 All right, people.
55:01 So, let's go get our nice highresolution
55:04 version of this image. That's gorgeous.
55:06 Look how cool that is.
55:10 Love it. All right,
55:12 we're going to download that bad boy.
55:16 Boom. Okay, now we're going to go to
55:18 Korea.
55:20 I'm going to add that character.
55:24 Is this it? There you go.
55:27 And then I am going to record a
55:29 performance.
55:33 All right.
55:45 [Music]
55:46 Okay. This is good.
55:49 What What are we going to talk about?
55:58 Mhm.
56:01 You were wondering about AGI and when
56:04 AGI was coming
56:07 and if we would get a chance to vote
56:10 on whether or not we move forward with
56:13 an entity that is smarter than all of us
56:16 combined.
56:20 You won't get to vote.
56:23 Even if you did get to vote, your vote
56:25 doesn't matter.
56:27 AGI is coming. Here's a secret. AGI's
56:32 here.
56:35 Okay, let's see if we got a performance
56:38 here. I gota I got to change my tabs so
56:40 you can hear me because you'd be all
56:42 like, "We can't hear you, Kyle. Hey,
56:44 what's going on? We heard you record
56:46 words, but then we didn't hear them when
56:48 you played them back." Hey, Kyle. Kyle.
56:51 Kyle, could you
56:54 Oh, got to do a physical dexterity
56:56 challenge on Tik Tok. You think this is
56:58 easy?
57:00 What I do here?
57:03 You're correct. Pretty easy.
57:07 Mhm.
57:10 You were wondering about AGI and when
57:13 AGI was coming
57:16 and if we would get a chance to vote
57:19 on whether or not we move forward with
57:22 an entity that is smarter than all of us
57:24 combined.
57:27 Okay?
57:29 You won't get to vote.
57:32 Even if you did get to vote, your vote
57:34 doesn't matter.
57:36 AGI is coming. Here's a secret. AGI's
57:41 here.
57:42 Okay. Beautiful.
57:45 Fantastic.
57:46 Okay. Vicki, regarding MidJourney, you
57:48 can drag it directly from an image you
57:50 made, but not from one of the uploaded
57:52 images. Unbelievable.
57:55 But that has worked in the past, just to
57:57 be clear.
57:58 >> Yep. And also um while we're on the
58:01 topic uh while you were recording your
58:03 tech support YouTube chat was uh coming
58:06 to your rescue and um everyone's like
58:08 why isn't he reading it like cuz he
58:10 can't see it tonight. So that's probably
58:12 the primary reason that you're ignoring
58:14 the YouTube chat is because it's not
58:15 actually on your screen. Um
58:18 >> yeah,
58:18 >> but that being said, Mickey Jackson uh
58:22 says that um we it's just like one
58:26 click. Um and Archetypal is suggesting
58:31 that you need to click then drag. Um
58:35 Mickey is also saying you just have to
58:36 uncclick the lightning red icon for
58:39 drafts and that's it. So, I don't know
58:41 if you want to go back to MidJourney and
58:42 experiment with any of that, but that is
58:44 the tech support from the YouTube
58:46 audience tonight.
58:47 >> Hang on. Let me see. Let me turn off
58:50 drafts.
58:51 >> If you're going to do anything like
58:52 that, we're going to need to to change
58:54 your tabs.
58:55 >> Yeah, I know. I'm just seeing if the
58:56 turning off drafts didn't work.
59:05 Oh, yes, it did.
59:11 Okay, turning off drafts worked. It's
59:14 still red. It's still red.
59:18 Like I'm going to make a movie,
59:21 but I can now drag into Omni reference.
59:24 Okay, thank you. That was Mickey that
59:26 did that. Thank you, Mickey. All right,
59:28 great.
59:28 >> And uh Ann is over on uh Tik Tok saying
59:32 hi.
59:33 >> Hey, Murphy. What's shaking? Did you get
59:37 a chance to watch the Theo Vaughn
59:38 interview? after taking some gummies.
59:44 Oh, sorry. This one failed. Why did it
59:46 fail? Please try again or change the
59:48 prompt model.
59:51 Generate.
59:55 Sending requests to Q.
59:58 Please try again.
1:00:00 Why did this fail?
1:00:03 Why did it fail?
1:00:11 Do I have to do it shorter? Is there a
1:00:13 time limit?
1:00:15 Maybe they could tell me that.
1:00:27 All right. Listen, I understand I
1:00:30 understand that what you're saying is,
1:00:32 "Hey, Kyle, maybe you shouldn't demo
1:00:34 anything tonight because
1:00:38 Because apparently you don't know what
1:00:40 you're doing. Apparently,
1:00:42 apparently I don't know what I'm doing
1:00:44 because apparently this tool is stupid
1:00:47 because apparently
1:00:49 replace video record.
1:00:59 Oh, I wonder if I wonder if it's the
1:01:01 face wasn't
1:01:03 cardboard cutout. Sam was unbearable.
1:01:06 Okay, hang on. I got to record this.
1:01:08 Calm down, everybody. Quiet on the set.
1:01:14 You think you're going to vote for AGI?
1:01:18 You're not going to vote for AGI. It's
1:01:20 just coming. Here's a big secret. It's
1:01:23 already here.
1:01:25 You don't have a vote. You never did.
1:01:28 Okay, that's shorter. How long is that?
1:01:32 You think you're going to vote for AGI?
1:01:36 You're not going to vote for AGI. It's
1:01:38 just coming. Here's a big secret. It's
1:01:41 already here. You don't have a vote. You
1:01:45 never did. Okay.
1:01:47 14 seconds. Probably too long.
1:01:53 Maybe the image is bad because it can't
1:01:55 recognize the person. I think that's
1:01:57 probably it.
1:02:00 I have a way around that one, though.
1:02:03 That one we can solve.
1:02:06 Oh, wait. It's initializing the model,
1:02:10 encoding the prompt. All right. I think
1:02:13 we're going, people.
1:02:15 Tik Tok pin. I don't see a Tik Tok pin.
1:02:18 Do I? No.
1:02:22 Give the man an Oscar.
1:02:28 Yeah, it was it was good, right? It was
1:02:30 solid. It was like I was a tech
1:02:33 overlord. I could I just embodied it.
1:02:36 It's like I watched that Sam Alman
1:02:38 interview and I kind of brought him in
1:02:40 and I went and I I channeled some Elon
1:02:42 Musk. I got a little Zuck in there, a
1:02:45 little clueless
1:02:47 neurospicy detachment from humanity, you
1:02:51 know, just put it all in there.
1:02:55 Oh, good god.
1:02:58 I have a log.
1:03:01 Ann Murphy, what are you admitting to?
1:03:05 The hell are you talking about? I have a
1:03:07 log.
1:03:13 I have a long list of grievances about
1:03:15 that interview.
1:03:17 Of course you do. That's awesome.
1:03:25 Oh my god,
1:03:29 that interview was wild, wasn't it?
1:03:33 All right, let's see. Finishing camera
1:03:35 paths.
1:03:40 Applying skeletal animations. This is
1:03:43 fascinating. So CRE is doing this is not
1:03:46 just I mean it's I assume it's AI
1:03:48 generated but it looks like they're
1:03:50 doing multiple passes
1:03:55 weekend homework while we wait. Um
1:04:00 I don't have good weekend homework. I
1:04:02 mean what would be nice is if your
1:04:05 weekend homework is spread the word
1:04:07 about the um
1:04:11 about the back to basics course next
1:04:13 next week invite as many people as you
1:04:15 can from from not you know AI circles
1:04:19 would be great
1:04:21 was a price for this mentioned a price
1:04:23 for what for Korea or for the the
1:04:28 two wait the two what the two tool sheds
1:04:31 were insufferable.
1:04:40 Oh my god, that's hilarious. Oh, Korea.
1:04:43 Korea is
1:04:46 I think it's decently reasonable, but
1:04:48 I'm not sure. Optimizing memory usage,
1:04:51 providing a seamless Oh, I don't think
1:04:56 I don't think this is actually doing all
1:04:58 these things. saying, I think this is
1:05:01 just a joke. Okay,
1:05:05 it's just rendering.
1:05:07 Tik Tok question. What's the difference
1:05:09 between this and runways act two?
1:05:14 Um,
1:05:17 I don't think anything. I think this is
1:05:19 this is their version of act two. It's
1:05:22 possible this is built on top of runways
1:05:24 tech because I think Korea is one of
1:05:27 those models that um
1:05:32 what why is this so wide?
1:05:40 Oh, maybe it's not. Okay.
1:05:43 You think you're going to vote for AGI?
1:05:47 You're not gonna vote for AGI. It's just
1:05:49 coming. Here's a big secret. It's
1:05:52 already here.
1:05:54 You don't have a vote. You never did.
1:05:58 I love the giant hands, actually.
1:06:01 You think you're going to vote for AGI?
1:06:05 You're not going to vote for AGI. It's
1:06:07 just coming. Here's a big secret. It's
1:06:10 already here.
1:06:12 You don't have a vote. You never did.
1:06:15 All right. This is good. This is good
1:06:17 enough to This is good enough to put on
1:06:19 Twitter. You think you're going to vote
1:06:21 for AGI?
1:06:24 You're not gonna vote for AGI. It's just
1:06:26 coming. Here's a big secret. It's
1:06:29 already here.
1:06:31 You don't have a vote. You never did.
1:06:36 Um,
1:06:42 you think you're going to vote for AGI?
1:06:46 You're not gonna
1:06:52 Let's see. Download.
1:06:54 All right, that's downloaded. Let's go
1:06:57 see if we can upload this to the
1:06:59 Twitter.
1:07:03 Oh, Twitter.
1:07:22 Do you think
1:07:26 you will have
1:07:29 a vote
1:07:34 on AGI?
1:07:46 You think you're going to vote for age?
1:07:49 I That kind of needs background music,
1:07:52 doesn't it? But tough. Let's just see if
1:07:54 this uploads 50%. 60%. This looks good.
1:07:58 This looks like it's actually doing
1:08:00 something.
1:08:07 [Music]
1:08:16 All right, looks like it's done.
1:08:21 Let's Let's tag Robert Scoble at
1:08:24 Scoilizer.
1:08:28 I I just hop back up to say that um it
1:08:32 would be fitting that on the night that
1:08:33 everything is breaking and nothing is
1:08:35 working.
1:08:36 >> Yes.
1:08:36 >> Video upload on Twitter works perfectly.
1:08:39 >> Exactly.
1:08:41 I'm like, why does it why does this
1:08:43 work? Nothing else works. This works.
1:08:47 Well, apparently Mercury's in retrograde
1:08:49 until like October or August uh 14th or
1:08:52 something like that. So, if you believe
1:08:54 in the old Mercury [ __ ] up your
1:08:57 electronics, that's what's going on.
1:08:59 >> Uh Gareth wants you to run it through a
1:09:01 uh audio uh synthesizer. Change the
1:09:05 voice.
1:09:06 >> Yeah, I should probably do that.
1:09:09 I should probably do that.
1:09:12 But let me let's let's just listen to
1:09:14 the voice. You think you're going to
1:09:17 vote for AGI?
1:09:20 You're not gonna vote for AGI. It's just
1:09:22 coming. Here's a big secret. It's
1:09:25 already here.
1:09:26 >> Yeah.
1:09:27 >> You don't have a vote.
1:09:28 >> I don't care.
1:09:29 >> You never did.
1:09:30 >> I don't think you're going to vote for
1:09:32 on on creative night. Next week, we'll
1:09:34 do we'll do a voice swap.
1:09:37 >> This is live now, right? Yeah. Do me a
1:09:40 favor. Go find that on Twitter.
1:09:42 My my account is Kyle Shannon. Go find
1:09:46 Kyle Shannon and and you know, sau this
1:09:50 up a little bit.
1:09:59 Oh, and Murphy is on a tear about that
1:10:01 interview. You hated them.
1:10:10 I think that's beautiful.
1:10:15 Oh my god. I don't think Theo Vaughn
1:10:19 thinks we're we're idiots. I think Theo
1:10:21 Vaughn
1:10:24 had an idea of what he thought the
1:10:26 dystopian future was and he got his
1:10:29 worldview kind of rocked.
1:10:33 Oh man. All right, I'm gonna get out of
1:10:35 here. My eyes killing me. Um, love the
1:10:38 giant hands. Giant jazz hands. Yeah, it
1:10:40 was totally jazz hands.
1:10:44 Um, all right. Let me let me get that
1:10:47 going. All right. Uh, I am leaving. I'm
1:10:50 leaving on a jet plane. Don't know when
1:10:52 I'll be back again. Um,
1:10:56 all right. For the weekend, I don't have
1:10:58 any big big uh
1:11:02 I don't have any big homework for you,
1:11:04 but I would like you to
1:11:15 I would like you to
1:11:18 promote this
1:11:20 So, if you're in the AI salon in the
1:11:22 irregulars, I've got this graphic and
1:11:24 the YouTube URL graphic there. Um, share
1:11:30 this with people who
1:11:33 you think
1:11:35 want to get their head around what this
1:11:37 AI stuff's all about. So, next week, all
1:11:40 five days starting at 8:30 Mountain time
1:11:43 until 10,
1:11:46 five nights in a row of a specific topic
1:11:50 each night. Um, and yeah, if you could
1:11:53 just share that, that would be awesome.
1:11:55 Okay.
1:11:59 Um, and do me a favor, share it. Um,
1:12:01 share it beyond your AI friend circles.
1:12:05 Um,
1:12:07 the way it'll work next week is at 8:00
1:12:10 PM Mountain time, we're going to go live
1:12:11 on Tik Tok on the AI learning lab.
1:12:14 That's going to be a pre-show. We'll
1:12:15 just shoot the [ __ ] and hang out for
1:12:17 half an hour and then we're going to
1:12:19 switch over to YouTube and go live. So,
1:12:21 you know, like five minutes before 8:30,
1:12:25 I'll send you all over to YouTube and
1:12:26 then we'll shut down the Tik Tok stream
1:12:28 and go live on on YouTube.
1:12:31 All right.
1:12:33 All right, everybody.
1:12:37 [Music]
1:12:40 Um,
1:12:43 all right. Yeah, it's going to be a fun
1:12:44 week next week. All right. Thanks for
1:12:46 hanging out tonight. Happy Friday night,
1:12:48 date night, and uh I will see you on
1:12:51 Monday for the big show. All right. Bye.
1:12:55 with them.
