15. 3:42it to we got it to do some good work but he he said it was acting weird it just wasn't acting like itself it was giving very generic
16. 3:51answers very short answers so I have a feeling they're mucking with something over there at at the chat GPT and I
17. 3:58don't know why I'm sort of hiccuping sort of advanced voice never works anymore yeah I just okay so a couple of things
18. 4:09couple of things about open AI that we have learned over the two years here by the way am I am I live where I'm
19. 4:16supposed to be live I'm Live on YouTube everyone's saying hi over there hello oh let me let me add the black bar for the Tik Tok
20. 4:24people something's going on in the background of chat gbt yeah so here's what we know about about open Ai and
21. 4:31chat gbt for the most part I me I mean there's a couple of times where it just gets wonky and [ __ ] goes down that's
22. 4:38happened I don't know three or four times since I've been using it which is since day one so generally very stable
23. 4:49however when they are upgrading things when they are rolling out new software when they are probably likely upgrading
24. 4:56servers or rebalancing server load or whatever you do to do [ __ ] P probably knows this better than anyone in
25. 5:05here uh in general right before they launch something new Chachi BT gets [ __ ] weird it just gets shittier and I've seen it pretty
26. 5:18consistently now there are sometimes where chat GPT is just shitty and weird and then there are other times where it's like shittier and
27. 5:27weirder and you're asking and I think rightly so is weirder ear a word oh it is ask Vicki Vicki knows Vicky Baptist

33. 6:27behavior because he doesn't want to be used to um I don't know Drive other people's content that's the only thing I can think of but I mean

51. 10:33Korea and I thought what could be a cool thing I I just went over to um Gemini deep research which I also paid
52. 10:42for let's see if this did anything good um let's see give me
53. 10:59at least 20 other examples like camera moves

55. 11:31um so what I did with with Gemini deep research here was I said go off and find me um I want to test the
56. 11:44physics the physics of some of these video Generations models so go go give me examples of things that I can test collisions of two fluids
57. 11:54objects floating in water so I'm going to have this do some research and let it because I'm sure somebody wrote articles
58. 12:00about this somewhere right so let's let Gemini deep research go do some [ __ ] research you know someone do some
59. 12:07[ __ ] work around here and it's we know that it's not going to be me right so oh I wasn't sharing that by the way

83. 16:50bar is if I flip over to streamyard see all this interface it's harder to read the text so if I go to the black bar it makes it easier for

99. 20:19grades that's where I'd put them right now and then I'd put Sora at kind of a c minus but the Sora that they gave us is
100. 20:27the one that they demed last March it's Sora 1.0 and they've been out demoing Sora 2 but they haven't [ __ ] given it

119. 24:20and that well that uh failed to make videos that made images but still pretty cool oh I'm not sharing God damn I can't I I really need a
120. 24:35producer really need a producer Brandon is in Vegas Brandon's in Vegas doing what you do in Vegas or tasks from chat GPT yeah we can talk
121. 24:48about that new daily listen experiment from Google like audio uh Halo also put out a new uh audio generation text to
122. 24:58text to Audio model today with like 300 voices and and emotions and [ __ ] like that so I don't know if we can play with
123. 25:05that but we can go look at that too um anyway okay so like we got this this cool thing is looking pretty cool [Music]
124. 25:16um that's not as cool this is not bad it's a little janky like that that was a little weird that little camera move there and it's
125. 25:26it's kind of weird low resolution but kind of cool then here's pictures that it made instead of making videos there's a
126. 25:35weird interface thing where sometimes you make images and not like this looks good till right there where they get
127. 25:44weird like that's what there's just weird physics this has got weird physics the truck stuck in the mud the solders just sort of appearing
128. 25:55out of nowhere this one's kind of cool although she's the little girl's out of focus pretty cool

130. 26:34more snowmobile weirdness all right so let me show you how I did these is this
131. 26:49it yeah all right so as you know as you may or may not know um I
132. 27:08am I think one of the things that we're all going to have to learn oops good Lord sorry production values one of the things that we're all
133. 27:22going to have to learn is that our brains are now the bottleneck it's not ai ai is not the bottleneck anymore ai's gotten so
134. 27:37good that it's no longer the bottleneck now we still need our brains to initiate things and frame things up and curate things and refine
135. 27:47things but when it comes to just like Brute Force I got to come up with some ideas for what I could prompt a thing to
136. 27:54do or whatever like whatever you're trying to do don't use your brain let chat GPT do all the [ __ ] work all
137. 28:02right so what I wanted to what I thought would be cool was get chat jpt to tell me what are the core elements of a good
138. 28:12cinematic shot right so I said what are the core elements of a text to video prompt subject action scene um style art
139. 28:21location setting so it did all that then it gave me an example prompt I thought oh that's good then I said I want you to act act
140. 28:28like an award-winning super imaginative cinematographer and give me 20 different prompts and then so it wrote a bunch of
141. 28:35prompts the problem with all these prompts when you write prompts in a vacuum and even this is this is a problem with us if you're not doing
142. 28:44something where you've got a story to tell and you're just writing prompts in a vacuum you tend to create cliche
143. 28:52[ __ ] and so chat GPD created a bunch of cliche [ __ ] and then I said make them more special and Unforgettable and
144. 29:00then it did some of that and I tried to make some of these and some of them were okay but for the most part they
145. 29:07sucked then I had an idea and I think this is a fun idea so I don't know if Joy P's on here or if anyone's on here
146. 29:14that is is using generative AI to make movies this might be a fun thing to play with my brain has been a bottleneck for
147. 29:22years yeah no [ __ ] well you know what's funny Source Camp is my my brain's been a bottleneck for years but I had my con
148. 29:31myself convinced that it wasn't and then little old AI sneaks up on me he like tap tap tap uh don't use
149. 29:42that thing we're we're good you you just you just live up here in the clouds we'll take care of all the actual thinky work

151. 30:04about doing an exercise like I'm doing here start with tell me how to write a prompt then write a bunch of prompts and
152. 30:10then where I go these are coming out a little too cartoony make them more cinematic so it did that and that kind of sucked and then I got
153. 30:21to let me see where I got to it ah tell me four unique color grading styles made famous by certain films so now I'm starting to stumble
154. 30:35into an idea so so again okay how how are we going to keep our jobs in the future right let's where's my button we we're all worried about
155. 30:50this right how do we make money with chbt we're worried about our jobs I think that some of the skills in the
156. 31:00future are going to be things like curiosity um bravery sort of a sense of adventure um adaptability so one of the things that
157. 31:15I'm working on honing in myself is no matter what intention I go into a chat session with I try to let my mind be not
158. 31:25my mind I try to let my int tension be very plastic where if the thing like working with chat GPT in a lot of ways is like
159. 31:37if you've ever worked with a really good collaborator right where you trust each other and you put an idea out there and
160. 31:45if it's really good your collaborator is like oh that's really good and and you know it either moves forward or they add
161. 31:50to it or if you put an idea out there and it's it's a piece of [ __ ] your collaborator will go no no no no that's
162. 31:58not right but there's something there and then the collaborator will ask you why did you do that why did you go there
163. 32:03right and they'll pull something out of you or they'll say no that's not it but what about this and you're like yeah
164. 32:08that's more it right and then you so you're you're one uping each other in in an additive conversation
165. 32:19right with respect you know you're the idea you're one uping the ideas not each other that's what it's like working with
166. 32:26chat gbt when you do it right but you have to be open to being that collaborator so so then I said I want to
167. 32:35come up with unique color grading because color grading can make it look like a specific movie and then it said the bleach bypass
168. 32:43Saving priate Private Ryan teal and orange Mad Max muted naturalism No Country for Old Men and high key sepia Oh Brother Where
169. 32:54where art thou and I'm like oh [ __ ] there are famous shots in all these movies what if we take famous shots and change them up
170. 33:06so and this is this is the idea all right and then I said combine these color grading things and then add
171. 33:13them to the prompts I haven't quite hit the idea yet so now rewrite all the prompts with those cinematic color grading things and
172. 33:25I tried a couple of these and again the that it made just sucked okay
173. 33:39now here's the big idea name 20 famous movie scenes we can use as inspiration and so it said 20 iconic movie scenes for inspiration Blade
174. 33:53Runner Deckard meets Rachel in a smoky Shadow filed Tyrell corporate office Apocalypse Now the helicopter Assault
175. 34:02The Godfather Darkly lit right so it gives us all these scenes and I'm like reading these scenes going oh yeah I
176. 34:07remember that and you remember what they look like and so I didn't want to just recreate those scenes but what I wanted
177. 34:13to do was say well let's start with those scenes as the as the basis of an idea and again I don't want to do the
178. 34:21thinking here so so then I wrote this now write a new scene inspired by each of these that will be familiar to a
179. 34:30viewer but still unique spin on the scene visually it should look like the original film write those in 20 prompts
180. 34:38and so then what it did was it told me what film it was being inspired by and what scene but then it g gave me
181. 34:44something completely different right the the actual prompt here is a scientist meets a sensient Android in a high-tech
182. 34:52Greenhouse filled with towering glass walls and Misty air the faint hum of drums Echoes uh as the sunlight flutters
183. 35:01visual style Smoky and shadowy with muted greens and Silvers contrasting with soft highlights so this is a really
184. 35:09cool scene idea inspired by something we know so it it should have a familiarity to it but it's completely different and
185. 35:19again if you're out to tell a story you wouldn't do this exercise this exercise was really just me trying to figure out
186. 35:26interesting ways I could test this new model make sense any questions thoughts context is King I like this idea yeah it's fun

191. 36:15you're moving fast you sometimes forget and you'll make a whole bunch of things you think are videos and it'll be images
192. 36:22but whatever but how you fix that is you go here and you switch between video and uh and images and then in the lower
193. 36:31right is now um Ray 2 I think this is rolled out for everyone but I'm not sure I think it is um and then Ray 1.6 was
194. 36:41their previous model and then you can put it in 540p or 720p and you can do five or 10 seconds uh and then you go do
195. 36:49different aspect ratios so we'll do 16 by9 um I think Ray 2 is only available like if I go to key frame Ray 2 is not available so it's
196. 37:01it's it's only text to video but we got some good text let's do 21 by9 because it'll make it look more
197. 37:08like a cinematic shot so I'm just going to paste in I thought I copied that did I not copy that copy go over here you're
198. 37:17all looking at this right I'm not I haven't screwed up something really bad watching and learning all right okay so there's my
199. 37:31scene one of the things that dream machine does that's super [ __ ] cool is it's got these new things called
200. 37:38boards and boards are like like here's my prompt and what it did every one of these words that it highlighted is now a
201. 37:47drop-down menu so so let's see a scientist meet asenti an Android and a high-tech Greenhouse let's let's see
202. 37:56what else where else they can meet oh they could meet in an advanced biodome great wait something went wrong maybe
203. 38:02they can't meet in an advanced biodome it didn't like that did it um Cutting Edge biosphere no all right I don't know what's going on there
204. 38:16um but generally what it'll do when it's when it's not erroring out is it will um every time you pick a different option
205. 38:24for one of these it spins up another pair of videos so it's super cool um but what we're going to do is let's go back
206. 38:32to our chat gbt list so Apocalypse Now so instead of a helicopters in the jungle um Riot controlled drones swarm a
207. 38:44dense rain soaked city right so it's a completely different shot but it's mirroring that's that shot and let me
208. 38:56let me get up on a a little bit of a soap box right here one of the things I hear especially from people that don't use generative AI
209. 39:05is like well AI can't be creative it's just predicting the next token and and they all sound like that
210. 39:16and they all make that face and I don't know why but they do um how do human beings come up with novel ideas
211. 39:29well they use their language and their and their large language model their brain the the machine that that eats
212. 39:39language right and visual images which is another kind of language and they say things like oh you know it' be cool what if we did like
213. 39:50remember Apocalypse Now remember how edgy it was and how how vital it was what if we did something that had the
214. 39:57vit ality of Apocalypse Now but like the the the the futuristic realism of Blade Runner and then the [ __ ] trippy whatever of
215. 40:082001 right you're like oh that's good and then you sit down and you write idea that's exactly what we're doing
216. 40:15here it's exactly what we're doing here I'm serving as the guy sort of saying well what if we did this what if we did that what if
217. 40:25we did that and then the largeest language model is like it knows all the movies it knows all the shots it knows what's good it knows what's
218. 40:33bad and if you give it the right context it'll give you what you asked for and then you can go oh well make them all
219. 40:41different but keep them the same and it did that's new and novel idea generation from where I come from Jeff flanigans came from an idea

225. 41:58and you don't have to do all these this is I just I find that doing this is one inspired by the movie her which I think is super
226. 42:07cool like again I mean what I used my brain for was more like curating the ideas that it spit out at me so rather
227. 42:17than me having to think about ah let me go Google what movies came out that were it's exhausting using your brain just don't it's it's
228. 42:30overrated oh my God what if the what if the machines do all the creative work for us creative work's hard let the
229. 42:37machines do the [ __ ] creative work I'll tell it what's good I want to crank some [ __ ] out I don't I don't
230. 42:48particularly take deep pride in the fact that it took me four hours to come up with two ideas I think that's a f [Music]

235. 43:46tasks in the in the drop down menu at the top and you can just say I said every night at 8:40 send me a drink recipe
236. 43:55from my Sin City I copied the prompt out of Sin City sipper I threw it in here and and now it gives me it it's got the
237. 44:07whole history of like I guess every time it's going to send me one of these drink recipes it's just going to add it to
238. 44:12this chat which I think is [ __ ] genius so what did I get I got a neon Mirage Martini a dazzling cocktail Jin orange lure lime juice
239. 44:27simple syrup and chili bitters that actually sounds [ __ ] tasty damn and garnished with some with some blood
240. 44:37orange I'll take one of those all [ __ ] day long and look it made us a nice picture of our drink okay anyway back to our movie
