Description

Kyle Shannon, CEO of Storyvine, discusses AI tools and their creative potential, focusing on Luma Labs' Dream Machine and OpenAI's ChatGPT. He explores the use of AI for generating video prompts based on famous movie scenes, aiming to streamline the creative process. He demonstrates how AI can adapt and refine prompts, generating novel variations of cinematic shots and emphasizing the importance of curiosity and adaptability in the age of AI. He also showcases ChatGPT's new "tasks" feature, automating tasks like delivering daily news summaries and cocktail recipes. Shannon highlights the shift in creative work, suggesting AI can handle the "brute force" ideation while humans curate and refine the output. He argues against the notion of AI lacking creativity, likening its process to human brainstorming and idea generation, albeit faster. He experiments with generating different video clips, including scenes inspired by *Apocalypse Now*, *Blade Runner*, and *Seven*. He also demonstrates the use of GPT-4's vision capabilities to interpret handwritten journal entries and generate writing prompts. Finally, he touches upon the rumors surrounding TikTok's potential ban and the speculation of various buyers. 2:16 you're enough to use me for
2:22 good DQ Blizzard oh no by the way this
2:27 is Kelly Camp DQ Blizzard one
2:30 is Kelly Camp lost my Tick Tock talk
2:34 Tick Tock account
2:37 today oh that's
2:40 awful well we're all about to lose our
2:42 Tik Tok accounts Sunday so show off look
2:47 at Kelly just always Happ to be the
2:49 early
2:50 adopter losing her losing her Tik to
2:53 Tock account before the rest of us show
2:55 off that's just
2:58 bad Kyle what type type of car do you
3:01 drive a Ford Flex and that's not a
3:09 joke I like to call the Ford Flex like a
3:11 hip
3:14 hearse if hses were hip that would be
3:17 the Ford
3:19 Flex what kind of car do you drive I'm
3:22 having a power struggle with advanced
3:24 voice lately well yeah that happens
3:27 something's up with Tik Tok or with uh
3:29 chat GPT
3:31 I was doing a um an exercise with Nate
3:34 St Pierre two days
3:37 ago and he had a um a custom GPT that
3:40 did script analysis stuff and and we got
3:43 it to we got it to do some good work but
3:45 he he said it was acting weird it just
3:47 wasn't acting like
3:49 itself it was giving very generic
3:51 answers very short answers so I have a
3:54 feeling they're mucking with something
3:56 over there at at the chat GPT and I
3:58 don't know why I'm sort of hiccuping
4:00 sort
4:04 of advanced voice never works anymore
4:07 yeah I just okay so a couple of things
4:09 couple of things about open AI that we
4:12 have learned over the two years
4:14 here by the way am I am I live where I'm
4:17 supposed to be live I'm Live on YouTube
4:19 everyone's saying hi over there hello oh
4:21 let me let me add the black bar for the
4:23 Tik Tok
4:25 people something's going on in the
4:27 background of chat gbt yeah so here's
4:28 what we know about about open Ai and
4:31 chat gbt for the most part I me I mean
4:35 there's a couple of times where it just
4:37 gets wonky and [ __ ] goes down that's
4:39 happened I don't know three or four
4:40 times since I've been using it which is
4:44 since day
4:46 one so generally very stable
4:49 however when they are upgrading things
4:52 when they are rolling out new software
4:54 when they are probably likely upgrading
4:57 servers or rebalancing server load or
5:00 whatever you do to do [ __ ] P probably
5:03 knows this better than anyone in
5:06 here uh in general right before they
5:10 launch something
5:12 new Chachi BT gets [ __ ] weird it just
5:15 gets
5:16 shittier and I've seen it pretty
5:18 consistently now there are sometimes
5:20 where chat GPT is just shitty and weird
5:23 and then there are other times where
5:24 it's like shittier and
5:27 weirder and you're asking and I think
5:30 rightly so is weirder ear a word oh it
5:34 is ask Vicki Vicki knows Vicky Baptist
5:37 knows weird is a word it's uh it's dutch
5:41 in origin in
5:42 [Music]
5:48 fact is it cheating when I turn to py
5:51 Gemini from advanced
5:53 voice any updates with David Shapiro no
5:57 he still hates me
6:00 um I realized I I realized a behavior I
6:04 did that could be a reason he banned me
6:08 just because he's he's very particular
6:10 about [ __ ] that pisses him off
6:13 um sometimes when I write like an
6:15 original article or something I'll tag a
6:17 [ __ ] ton of people so I'll like right
6:20 hey here's this article I wrote that
6:21 I'll link to it and then I'll tag a
6:23 bunch of
6:24 people it's possible he hates that
6:27 behavior because he doesn't want to be
6:29 used to
6:31 um I don't
6:33 know Drive other people's content that's
6:36 the only thing I can think of but I mean
6:38 I never said anything controversial I've
6:40 always done things to support him so
6:42 whatever I I mean I I seriously don't
6:44 give a [ __ ] I'm not I'm not mad at him
6:45 in any way he's got his reasons and I'm
6:49 on the I'm on the target end of that for
6:50 whatever
6:51 [Music]
6:53 reason why did he block me I don't know
6:55 like I I literally don't know I've been
6:59 um quote posting a lot of his stuff I I
7:03 like did a whole session on a post that
7:05 he did three nights ago and then
7:08 yesterday I went to retweet something
7:11 and it basically said you can't this
7:12 creators blocked you so um it didn't use
7:15 the words go [ __ ] yourself but it was
7:19 implied
7:21 [Music]
7:49 Vicki doesn't want to take
7:50 responsibility for the word weirder ear
7:53 not
7:54 existing that's that's on
7:57 her not my responsibility that she can
8:00 or cannot confirm that weirder ear is a
8:03 word that's uh I just say the news right
8:07 it's for other people to uh to do their
8:09 own
8:11 [Music]
8:27 research picture of you driving a fort
8:30 Flex in the Irregulars oh why is this is
8:33 a bad
8:37 idea but let's go look at it this
8:40 channel is nothing but a series of bad
8:42 ideas brought to
8:44 [Laughter]
8:47 life we'll go to our little Club area
8:50 our new club area Irregulars slotting in
8:54 at number two oh very nice I like it
8:57 with the pink bow Ford Le from what year
9:02 1923 that's pretty
9:06 cool nice Danel I like it I'm
9:11 in oh if you don't know what the what
9:14 the uh the bow reference is look at that
9:18 huh you tell me that's not some special
9:21 piece of
9:23 magic all right welcome if you're from
9:25 LinkedIn my name is Kyle Shannon I'm the
9:27 co-founder and CEO of storyvine I'm very
9:30 serious
9:32 [Laughter]
9:39 [Music]
9:42 businessman
9:49 um so I wasn't allowed to talk about
9:51 this I got early access to the new um
9:54 Ray
9:56 2 um Luma laabs dream
10:01 machine um they have a new model out
10:04 called Ray 2 um it's pretty good it's
10:07 pretty good it's still janky and what's
10:09 weird is it's jankier for some things
10:13 than others which I guess makes
10:15 sense but I thought that one might be a
10:18 cool experiment tonight so I'm in the
10:21 Creator program for
10:24 Runway and for Luma and then I'm a I've
10:28 got a paid account account for
10:33 Korea and I thought what could be a cool
10:36 thing I I just went over to um Gemini
10:40 deep research which I also paid
10:43 for let's see if this did anything
10:53 good um let's
10:56 see give me
11:00 at
11:01 least
11:03 20
11:07 other
11:09 examples like camera
11:12 moves
11:14 fluids
11:16 um camera moves
11:20 fluids
11:22 actions
11:23 um
11:27 particles Etc
11:32 um so what I did with with Gemini deep
11:35 research here was I said go off and find
11:39 me um I want to test the
11:44 physics the physics of some of these
11:47 video Generations models
11:49 so go go give me examples of things that
11:52 I can test collisions of two fluids
11:55 objects floating in water so I'm going
11:57 to have this do some research and let it
11:59 because I'm sure somebody wrote articles
12:01 about this somewhere right so let's let
12:03 Gemini deep research go do some [ __ ]
12:05 research you know someone do some
12:07 [ __ ] work around here and it's we
12:09 know that it's not going to be me right
12:12 so oh I wasn't sharing that by the way
12:15 which you knew because you couldn't see
12:17 [ __ ] anyway so here here is uh this is
12:22 the the the Deep research thing what was
12:25 I looking at before I don't know it
12:26 doesn't [ __ ] matter all right so this
12:29 thing went out and it researched 11
12:33 websites um so that's great okay um uh
12:42 incorporate that
12:45 all into the
12:49 article
12:58 please like what I noticed in dream
13:09 machine things like underwater are
13:13 really bad so here's here's a whole
13:16 bunch of underwater
13:20 Clips see how [ __ ] weird they
13:24 are there's just like like people
13:27 underwater do not act normal
13:32 [Laughter]
13:35 I mean they're
13:36 funny like the water's super normal
13:39 looking but the people are [ __ ]
13:45 freaky right like it's like there's like
13:49 half a second where things are normal
13:51 and then everything else is [ __ ]
13:56 chaos and no one moves that fast
13:58 underwater so it doesn't get underwater
14:00 well but like it would be interesting to
14:03 grab this quote this prompt and go over
14:05 to Runway and see if it does underwater
14:07 better or if it interprets it completely
14:10 differently here's robots underwater
14:12 this is even
14:15 weirder these kind of scenes with
14:18 multiple people walking with guns it
14:21 does it it's this is like
14:24 5050 but like wouldn't it be cool to
14:26 just go take a bunch of prompts
14:29 and just go see like what's it do really
14:31 well what's it do not well like that was
14:35 normal until that weird weirdness like
14:38 that's good till there what the [ __ ] was
14:43 that not
14:46 normal guy just
14:52 appears now these guys are on top of
14:56 water that looks good that looks good
14:59 and it's a freak
15:01 [Laughter]
15:07 [Music]
15:10 Show oh nice Vicki that's awesome Vicki
15:14 is working on our AI Readiness
15:17 [Music]
15:19 curriculum all right oh I've got
15:22 a you just can't do everything around
15:25 here I didn't do the black bar for the
15:27 Tik Tock people they're probably all
15:28 angry over there
15:31 hey AIML music what's happening hope
15:34 you're
15:38 well now we chasing the Jank yeah I
15:40 think we're chasing the
15:41 Jank I well I mean here's the
15:45 thing okay so here's here's a real thing
15:49 because I have access to these two
15:51 Creator programs I'm trying to get into
15:53 Halo into minia max I'd like to be in
15:56 that one too because those those are the
15:58 top three that I can tell right
16:00 now or this new model from here let me
16:04 show you some good ones from from Luma
16:06 Labs there are a couple I got in here
16:08 that are quite
16:13 good
16:16 um some of the bags aren't
16:20 bad this one I thought was quite
16:27 good like the you know the flashlight
16:30 Beam with the particles in it and the
16:33 graffiti that looks pretty bitching and
16:36 doesn't look too
16:38 weird and then this one was done right
16:41 after that what what I also figur is I
16:43 could show you how I got to all these
16:46 cinematic shots which I think is kind of
16:48 fun what's the black bar for the black
16:50 bar is if I flip over to
16:54 streamyard see all this interface it's
16:56 harder to read the text so if I go to
16:59 the black bar it makes it easier for
17:00 people on Tik Tok to read Are you able
17:03 to try VO2
17:05 no because uh what's his name uh the
17:09 head of Google doesn't like me Sam
17:12 alman's jealous of me the CEO of Google
17:15 doesn't like me let's see where do I
17:19 have is it here no that's
17:24 repurposed uh uh uh uh what was I going
17:27 to do um
17:36 what was I
17:38 doing oh uh labs. goole.com
17:46 experiment see join weit list I got I do
17:50 not have video effects damn
17:53 it I'm Gumby damn
17:56 it pisses me off
18:01 so no I don't have access to vo and it
18:04 looks awesome gez Kyle what are you
18:07 doing to make all these people mad at
18:08 you I know right
18:13 [Music]
18:41 do I pay for repurpose yeah I paid for
18:43 repurpose for at least a month because I
18:46 used it to go grab all my Tik Tock
18:49 videos and throw them on Google Drive
18:52 and now I'm going to create a
18:54 uh a workflow to put them back on
18:58 YouTube
19:00 it's like it's just exhausting but you
19:04 know I put two years into making content
19:06 on this stupid [ __ ] platform so
19:08 they're just going to flush it down the
19:09 toilet I guess I should go get
19:13 it ail AIML music I've heard vo crushed
19:19 the competition including Sora uh Sora
19:22 right now I would put Sora at five at
19:27 the highest
19:29 it's right now it looks like vo and
19:32 minia Max are the two best
19:35 ones um this new Luma laabs Ray 2 is
19:40 pretty good um Runway is still pretty
19:44 good but you know it's kind of a tiar
19:46 down like I would say that vo's kind of
19:48 a tier on its
19:50 own let's call
19:52 vo
19:54 B+ let's call minia Max B
20:02 um Runway just because they're so
20:04 established and they have a bunch of
20:05 other [ __ ] going on is probably like a
20:09 C+ um Luma laabs Ray 2 is probably a C+
20:14 runways probably like a c like that's
20:16 right like if we were giving them like
20:18 grade school
20:19 grades that's where I'd put them right
20:21 now and then I'd put Sora at kind of a c
20:24 minus but the Sora that they gave us is
20:28 the one that they demed last March it's
20:30 Sora 1.0 and they've been out demoing
20:33 Sora 2 but they haven't [ __ ] given it
20:36 to us why Sam alman's jealous of me
20:40 we've talked about this people we've
20:42 talked about this it's not my fault this
20:46 is just genetics it's a gift okay and
20:50 he's jealous he's jealous of the
20:52 intellect he's jealous of the wit and
20:55 he's jealous of all this can you blame
20:58 him
20:59 [Music]
21:00 so I don't you
21:03 know it is not for me to
21:06 brag about what I got going on that is
21:09 for other people to judge and apparently
21:12 Sam is
21:13 [Music]
21:22 [Applause]
21:24 petty haha that seems silly yes they're
21:28 jealous the talent the deep deep Talent
21:31 the talent she runs
21:33 deep Runway is
21:38 great you still want to sing there
21:40 champy
21:42 [Music]
22:01 I
22:04 secret
22:09 D you don't really care for music do
22:14 [Music]
22:17 you goes like this the
22:22 of fall
22:25 [Music]
22:33 champ you're supposed to sing harmony
22:34 there
22:39 hallelujah
22:40 [Music]
22:43 hallelujah
22:47 hallelujah hallelujah
22:51 [Music]
23:02 so again like this kind of talent is the
23:05 kind of stuff that that Mr Altman is
23:07 just deathly jealous of and I think it's
23:10 you know it's Petty it makes me sad
23:19 [Music]
23:24 inside Hallelujah get it I get it I get
23:28 it it's solid
23:30 if you're tuning in yes we'll get to AI
23:33 in a
23:35 moment oh yeah I haven't really
23:37 introduced myself have I how many people
23:38 are here is anyone here got a few folks
23:40 over there we got a few folks in here
23:42 it's a light night we're fine it's
23:44 mostly a regulars here tonight
23:47 um if you're new here though my name's
23:50 Kyle Shannon this is the AI learning lab
23:52 we like to have fun here no sorry I like
23:55 to have fun here and then other people
23:57 tolerate me
24:01 and yes we will occasionally get to AI
24:04 um here's what I am going to do tonight
24:06 we are going to do some
24:09 experimenting with video generation
24:12 tools in Physics and I'm going to show
24:14 you how I came up with a bunch of cool
24:17 prompts like that got things like that
24:21 and that well that uh failed to make
24:25 videos that made images
24:27 but still pretty cool oh I'm not sharing
24:31 God damn I can't I I really need a
24:36 producer really need a
24:40 producer Brandon is in Vegas Brandon's
24:43 in Vegas doing what you do in Vegas or
24:46 tasks from chat GPT yeah we can talk
24:48 about that new daily listen experiment
24:51 from Google like audio uh Halo also put
24:54 out a new uh audio generation text to
24:59 text to Audio model today with like 300
25:01 voices and and emotions and [ __ ] like
25:04 that so I don't know if we can play with
25:05 that but we can go look at that too um
25:08 anyway okay so like we got this this
25:10 cool thing is looking pretty
25:13 cool
25:14 [Music]
25:16 um that's not as cool this is not bad
25:19 it's a little
25:21 janky like that that was a little weird
25:24 that little camera move there and it's
25:26 it's kind of weird low resolution but
25:28 kind of cool then here's pictures that
25:31 it
25:33 made instead of making videos there's a
25:35 weird interface thing where sometimes
25:38 you make images and not like this looks
25:41 good till right there where they get
25:44 weird like that's what there's just
25:46 weird physics this has got weird
25:48 physics the truck stuck in the
25:53 mud the solders just sort of appearing
25:55 out of nowhere
25:59 this one's kind of cool although she's
26:01 the little girl's out of
26:05 focus pretty cool
26:09 right decent
26:17 snowmobiles that was good until he just
26:20 walked into the
26:21 wall walk through the glass
26:34 more snowmobile
26:38 weirdness all right so let me show you
26:40 how I did
26:47 these is this
26:50 it
26:52 yeah all right so as you know as you may
26:56 or may not know
27:03 um I
27:08 am I think one of the things that we're
27:10 all going to have to
27:12 learn oops good Lord sorry production
27:20 values one of the things that we're all
27:23 going to have to
27:24 learn is that our
27:29 brains are now the
27:32 bottleneck it's not ai ai is not the
27:35 bottleneck anymore ai's gotten so
27:37 good that it's no longer the bottleneck
27:40 now we still need our brains to initiate
27:43 things and frame things up and curate
27:45 things and refine
27:47 things but when it comes to just like
27:50 Brute Force I got to come up with some
27:52 ideas for what I could prompt a thing to
27:55 do or whatever like whatever you're
27:57 trying to do don't use your brain let
28:00 chat GPT do all the [ __ ] work all
28:02 right so what I wanted to what I thought
28:05 would be cool was get chat jpt to tell
28:09 me what are the core elements of a good
28:12 cinematic shot right so I said what are
28:15 the core elements of a text to video
28:17 prompt subject action scene um style art
28:21 location setting so it did all that then
28:23 it gave me an example prompt I thought
28:25 oh that's
28:26 good then I said I want you to act act
28:28 like an award-winning super imaginative
28:31 cinematographer and give me 20 different
28:33 prompts and then so it wrote a bunch of
28:36 prompts the problem with all these
28:38 prompts when you write prompts in a
28:40 vacuum and even this is this is a
28:43 problem with us if you're not doing
28:45 something where you've got a story to
28:46 tell and you're just writing prompts in
28:48 a vacuum you tend to create cliche
28:53 [ __ ] and so chat GPD created a bunch
28:55 of cliche [ __ ] and then I said make
28:58 them more special and Unforgettable and
29:00 then it did some of that and I tried to
29:03 make some of these and some of them were
29:04 okay but for the most part they
29:07 sucked then I had an idea and I think
29:10 this is a fun idea so I don't know if
29:11 Joy P's on here or if anyone's on here
29:15 that is is using generative AI to make
29:17 movies this might be a fun thing to play
29:20 with my brain has been a bottleneck for
29:23 years yeah no [ __ ] well you know what's
29:25 funny Source Camp is my my brain's been
29:29 a bottleneck for years but I had my con
29:31 myself convinced that it
29:35 wasn't and then little old AI sneaks up
29:39 on me he like tap tap tap uh don't use
29:43 that thing we're we're good you you just
29:46 you just live up here in the clouds
29:48 we'll take care of all the actual thinky
29:54 work
29:56 okay Joe Baker what's happening Shawn
29:59 Michael capy context is King context is
30:03 absolutely King one of the nice things
30:05 about doing an exercise like I'm doing
30:07 here start with tell me how to write a
30:09 prompt then write a bunch of prompts and
30:10 then where I go these are coming out a
30:13 little too cartoony make them more
30:15 cinematic so it did that and that kind
30:17 of
30:18 sucked and then I got
30:21 to let me see where I got to
30:24 it
30:26 ah tell me four unique color grading
30:30 styles made famous by certain
30:33 films so now I'm starting to stumble
30:36 into an idea so so again
30:43 okay how how are we going to keep our
30:46 jobs in the future right let's where's
30:48 my button we we're all worried about
30:51 this right how do we make money with
30:55 chbt we're worried about our jobs
30:58 I think that some of the skills in the
31:01 future are going to be things like
31:04 curiosity
31:06 um bravery sort of a sense of adventure
31:11 um
31:14 adaptability so one of the things that
31:16 I'm working on honing in myself is no
31:20 matter what intention I go into a chat
31:23 session with I try to let my mind be not
31:26 my mind I try to let my int tension be
31:29 very
31:30 plastic where if the thing like working
31:35 with chat GPT in a lot of ways is like
31:37 if you've ever worked with a really good
31:39 collaborator right where you trust each
31:42 other and you put an idea out there and
31:45 if it's really good your collaborator is
31:47 like oh that's really good and and you
31:49 know it either moves forward or they add
31:51 to it or if you put an idea out there
31:54 and it's it's a piece of [ __ ] your
31:56 collaborator will go no no no no that's
31:59 not right but there's something there
32:01 and then the collaborator will ask you
32:02 why did you do that why did you go there
32:04 right and they'll pull something out of
32:05 you or they'll say no that's not it but
32:07 what about this and you're like yeah
32:09 that's more it right and then you so
32:12 you're
32:13 you're one uping each
32:16 other in in an additive conversation
32:19 right with respect you know you're the
32:22 idea you're one uping the ideas not each
32:25 other that's what it's like working with
32:27 chat gbt when you do it right but you
32:29 have to be open to being that
32:33 collaborator so so then I said I want to
32:35 come up with unique color grading
32:37 because color grading can make it look
32:39 like a specific
32:40 movie and then it said the bleach bypass
32:43 Saving priate Private Ryan teal and
32:46 orange Mad
32:47 Max muted naturalism No Country for Old
32:51 Men and high key sepia Oh Brother Where
32:54 where art thou and I'm like oh [ __ ]
32:57 there are famous shots in all these
33:00 movies what if we take famous shots and
33:04 change them up
33:06 so and this is this is the
33:09 idea all right and then I said combine
33:12 these color grading things and then add
33:14 them to the prompts I haven't quite hit
33:16 the idea
33:20 yet so now rewrite all the prompts with
33:23 those cinematic color grading things and
33:26 I tried a couple of these and again the
33:28 that it made just
33:38 sucked okay
33:40 now here's the big
33:42 idea name 20 famous movie scenes we can
33:46 use as
33:49 inspiration and so it said 20 iconic
33:51 movie scenes for inspiration Blade
33:53 Runner Deckard meets Rachel in a smoky
33:56 Shadow filed Tyrell corporate office
33:59 Apocalypse Now the helicopter Assault
34:02 The Godfather Darkly lit right so it
34:04 gives us all these scenes and I'm like
34:06 reading these scenes going oh yeah I
34:08 remember that and you remember what they
34:09 look like and so I didn't want to just
34:11 recreate those scenes but what I wanted
34:13 to do was say well let's start with
34:15 those scenes as the as the basis of an
34:19 idea and again I don't want to do the
34:21 thinking here so so then I wrote this
34:25 now write a new scene inspired by each
34:28 of these that will be familiar to a
34:30 viewer but still unique spin on the
34:33 scene visually it should look like the
34:35 original film write those in 20 prompts
34:38 and so then what it did was it told me
34:40 what film it was being inspired by and
34:42 what scene but then it g gave me
34:44 something completely different right the
34:47 the actual prompt here is a scientist
34:50 meets a sensient Android in a high-tech
34:53 Greenhouse filled with towering glass
34:55 walls and Misty air the faint hum of
34:57 drums
34:58 Echoes uh as the sunlight flutters
35:01 visual style Smoky and shadowy with
35:04 muted greens and Silvers contrasting
35:07 with soft highlights so this is a really
35:10 cool scene idea inspired by something we
35:14 know so it it should have a familiarity
35:17 to it but it's completely different and
35:19 again if you're out to tell a story you
35:22 wouldn't do this exercise this exercise
35:24 was really just me trying to figure out
35:26 interesting ways I could test this new
35:29 model make sense any questions thoughts
35:33 context is King I like this idea yeah
35:36 it's fun
35:40 right all right no questions if you have
35:43 any questions pop them in the comments
35:45 All right so what we'll do we'll do some
35:47 new things here we're going to jump
35:49 in GNA create a new thing okay so the
35:52 way you get to here's here's a confusing
35:56 interface thing about uh um dream
36:00 machine because it makes both images
36:05 and videos sometimes you don't know
36:08 which mode you're in and like right now
36:10 it just says like image 219 aspect ratio
36:14 it's really teeny right here and if
36:16 you're moving fast you sometimes forget
36:18 and you'll make a whole bunch of things
36:20 you think are videos and it'll be images
36:22 but whatever but how you fix that is you
36:25 go here and you switch between video and
36:28 uh and images and then in the lower
36:31 right is now um Ray 2 I think this is
36:36 rolled out for everyone but I'm not sure
36:38 I think it is um and then Ray 1.6 was
36:41 their previous model and then you can
36:43 put it in 540p or 720p and you can do
36:46 five or 10 seconds uh and then you go do
36:49 different aspect ratios so we'll do 16
36:52 by9 um I think Ray 2 is only available
36:57 like if I go to key
36:59 frame Ray 2 is not available so it's
37:01 it's it's only text to
37:03 video but we got some good text let's do
37:07 21 by9 because it'll make it look more
37:09 like a cinematic shot so I'm just going
37:11 to paste in I thought I copied that did
37:14 I not copy that copy go over here you're
37:18 all looking at this right I'm not I
37:19 haven't screwed up something really bad
37:22 watching and learning all right
37:28 okay so there's my
37:31 scene one of the things that dream
37:34 machine does that's super [ __ ] cool
37:37 is it's got these new things called
37:39 boards and boards are like like here's
37:43 my prompt and what it did every one of
37:45 these words that it highlighted is now a
37:47 drop-down menu so so let's see a
37:51 scientist meet asenti an Android and a
37:53 high-tech Greenhouse let's let's see
37:56 what else where else they can meet oh
37:58 they could meet in an advanced biodome
38:00 great wait something went wrong maybe
38:03 they can't meet in an advanced
38:07 biodome it didn't like that did
38:10 it um Cutting Edge biosphere no all
38:15 right I don't know what's going on there
38:17 um but generally what it'll do when it's
38:19 when it's not erroring out is it will um
38:23 every time you pick a different option
38:24 for one of these it spins up another
38:26 pair of videos so it's super cool um but
38:31 what we're going to do is let's go back
38:33 to our chat gbt list so Apocalypse Now
38:38 so instead of a helicopters in the
38:41 jungle um Riot controlled drones swarm a
38:44 dense rain soaked city right so it's a
38:47 completely different shot but it's
38:52 mirroring that's that shot and let me
38:57 let me get up on a a little bit of a
38:58 soap box right
39:01 here one of the things I hear especially
39:04 from people that don't use generative AI
39:06 is like well AI can't be creative it's
39:08 just predicting the next
39:14 token and and they all sound like that
39:16 and they all make that face and I don't
39:18 know why but they do
39:22 um how do human beings come up with
39:25 novel ideas
39:29 well they use their language and their
39:33 and their large language model their
39:37 brain the the machine that that eats
39:40 language right and visual images which
39:43 is another kind of
39:45 language and they say things like oh you
39:48 know it' be cool what if we did like
39:51 remember Apocalypse Now remember how
39:53 edgy it was and how how vital it was
39:56 what if we did something that had the
39:57 vit ality of Apocalypse Now but like the
40:00 the the the futuristic realism of Blade
40:03 Runner and then the [ __ ] trippy
40:06 whatever of
40:08 2001 right you're like oh that's good
40:11 and then you sit down and you write idea
40:13 that's exactly what we're doing
40:15 here it's exactly what we're doing here
40:18 I'm serving
40:20 as the guy sort of saying well what if
40:24 we did this what if we did that what if
40:25 we did that and then the largeest
40:27 language model is like it knows all the
40:29 movies it knows all the shots it knows
40:32 what's good it knows what's
40:34 bad and if you give it the right context
40:37 it'll give you what you asked for and
40:39 then you can go oh well make them all
40:41 different but keep them the same and it
40:46 did that's new and novel idea generation
40:50 from where I come
40:52 from Jeff flanigans came from an idea
40:55 fairy
40:58 who disses oh who this who dis hey Jason
41:02 what's up all right so let's go let's go
41:05 copy and paste some uh there you go
41:11 nice I don't know that he's meeting a
41:14 sentient robot
41:19 there here's the other
41:24 one kind of a cool shot it it didn't
41:29 really meets a sentient Android oh I
41:32 probably need to say sentient android
41:34 robot but anyway let's throw in a new
41:36 prompt boom this is the riot controlled
41:41 drones and I think because I've already
41:43 generated a bunch of these I'm going to
41:45 go down to the bottom and work my way up
41:47 I
41:48 think Fight Club a hacker and their
41:51 accomplice so grab that
41:56 one boom
41:59 and you don't have to do all these this
42:00 is I just I find that doing this is one
42:04 inspired by the movie her which I think
42:06 is super
42:08 cool like again I mean what I used my
42:12 brain for was more like curating the
42:15 ideas that it spit out at me so rather
42:18 than me having to think about ah let me
42:20 go Google what movies came out that
42:23 were it's exhausting using your brain
42:27 just don't it's it's
42:30 overrated oh my God what if the what if
42:34 the machines do all the creative work
42:36 for us creative work's hard let the
42:38 machines do the [ __ ] creative work
42:40 I'll tell it what's
42:43 good I want to crank some [ __ ] out I
42:47 don't I don't
42:48 particularly take deep pride in the fact
42:51 that it took me four hours to come up
42:53 with two
42:55 ideas I think that's a f
42:58 [Music]
43:01 failure so let me take my stupid ape
43:04 brain and I'll sit over here in the
43:06 corner and you tap into the entire
43:09 history of the output of all of humanity
43:12 and give me what I want that's all I'll
43:14 do you can you can oh look at this we
43:20 had a timer set last
43:25 night oh that's so cool
43:29 so if you don't know about
43:31 tasks um oh that's cool and it shows up
43:35 oh okay this I [ __ ] love okay so if
43:38 you don't know what tasks are how you
43:40 get to tasks is in chat GPT there's this
43:42 new Option called gp40 with scheduled
43:46 tasks in the in the drop down menu at
43:48 the
43:49 top and you can just say I said every
43:52 night at 8:40 send me a drink recipe
43:56 from my Sin City I copied the prompt out
43:59 of Sin City sipper I threw it in
44:02 here
44:04 and and now it gives me it it's got the
44:07 whole history of like I guess every time
44:09 it's going to send me one of these drink
44:11 recipes it's just going to add it to
44:13 this chat which I think is [ __ ]
44:15 genius so what did I get I got
44:19 a neon Mirage Martini a dazzling
44:22 cocktail Jin orange lure lime juice
44:28 simple syrup and chili bitters that
44:30 actually sounds [ __ ]
44:32 tasty damn and garnished with some with
44:35 some blood
44:37 orange I'll take one of those all
44:40 [ __ ] day long and look it made us a
44:44 nice picture of our drink okay anyway
44:46 back to our movie
44:51 making which was the last one we did uh
44:55 Joker 1917 I don't think we did that one
44:58 Saving Private Ryan we didn't do that
45:00 seven oh
45:02 wait
45:04 where oh these must be new
45:07 ones are these new ones I think these
45:09 are new
45:11 ones no these are
45:15 them her rooftop Reflections wait let's
45:19 go back here what did we
45:22 do a lone soldier
45:29 a
45:31 hacker couple quit silly in a
45:35 bar oh lone soal nighttime Escape okay
45:39 so we did that one okay Joker we'll grab
45:42 this
45:48 copy let me just go confirm that we've
45:51 got ray2 going Yep this is the new
45:54 model boom off we go
45:57 go grab this
45:59 one
46:02 copy boom off we
46:07 go I don't know about you I think this
46:10 is a cool approach because it's like
46:12 it's low
46:13 anxiety what I what I can what I can
46:16 focus my Creative Energy on is
46:21 curating and then let let one of these
46:24 ideas that I'm just vomiting out Inspire
46:28 an actual
46:32 story
46:33 right oops what do I
46:42 do anyone have any ideas for the new
46:45 task last one was her okay
46:48 Marge hey Marge hey Marge yeah what was
46:52 the what was the name of that movie you
46:55 know you know the one with the guy
46:58 in the in the the the woman from that
47:00 thing we
47:01 saw you remember that
47:05 movie no no it no it wasn't that one no
47:09 it was it was fun it had funny in it it
47:13 had funny in
47:15 it yeah
47:18 exactly don't be like
47:21 him he needs to grow up here tell you
47:26 that damn
47:28 Marge wears the pants in that
47:33 family I was hated
47:36 that I was so so my my wife is from the
47:41 Bronx and one day we were walking down
47:43 the street did I do the park ranger one
47:46 hang on no um one day we're walking down
47:50 the street and some insane person said
47:55 something oh see that one was against
47:57 violations whatever just move on
48:00 um said something to
48:03 her as we walked down the street and
48:05 she's from the Bronx she just turned
48:07 around goes go [ __ ]
48:12 yourself few a few more steps down the
48:15 street and the guy just turns around and
48:17 goes we know who wear the wear's the
48:19 pants in that
48:25 family I was like oh
48:28 where's my pink bow where's my pink bow
48:31 I'm
48:32 offended I'm
48:43 masculine oh good
48:48 lord I'm the man of the
48:51 [Laughter]
48:54 household all right I think we've done
48:57 enough here let's go let's go see if
48:58 we've actually done any interesting
49:03 work so the okay so the other thing you
49:06 can do here let's see if this this is
49:08 muted greens and Silvers Misty air let's
49:12 see well those are all the
49:14 same faint hum of drones towering Glass
49:18 Walls let's
49:22 see Vitus
49:24 panels all right there it did it so you
49:27 see how I chose Vitus panels and now
49:29 it's spinning up new things so you
49:32 scroll left and right if if you're if
49:35 you're iterating on a prompt you can
49:38 also just say show more show show me
49:39 more like this or you can brainstorm or
49:42 you can there's all sorts of cool things
49:43 you can do reuse the message copy the
49:50 text Hightech Greenhouse let's go to
49:53 Advanced biodome there we go that's good
49:58 meets
50:01 a mechanical companion that's kind of
50:04 cool all right so see see how this
50:07 Scrolls left and right now nice so so
50:10 we'll see those so there's the two for
50:11 that prompt uh
50:15 oh what's
50:18 happening I think I might be
50:23 crashing is this still
50:25 live are we back
50:28 oh
50:30 boy don't give me your [ __ ] if
50:32 you're if if the only thing you're about
50:33 to tell me is um I have too many tabs
50:39 open you can you can take a flipping
50:45 hike oh it's back see I told you I told
50:48 you I could have that many tabs open
50:51 it's not
50:53 irresponsible memory manage my my ass
50:57 hey Google fix [ __ ] Chrome so I can
50:59 have a 100 tabs
51:01 open you think everyone's [ __ ]
51:04 responsible with their memory management
51:06 no so fix it all right so this one is
51:10 riot control drones swarm a dense rain
51:13 soaked
51:14 City that's kind of cool this one's
51:17 still working it looks like this
51:20 died but again see janky arms
51:24 here so multiple people seems to be in
51:27 Achilles heel of this thing a hacker and
51:30 their accomplice stand in an empty
51:32 parking lot in office Towers crumble in
51:34 the
51:36 distance that's kind of
51:39 cool can you all see this am I doing the
51:41 right thing I got to do the black bar I
51:46 know has he covered tasks in chat GPT
51:49 yet I'm confused by it I'll do that so
51:51 uh GG's Zen mode I'll I'll do tasks in a
51:53 second here we're just going through and
51:56 looking at at some some videos we made
51:59 with
51:59 posts this is kind of
52:02 cool it's weird see how everything's
52:05 kind of out of focus it's I one of the
52:07 one of the
52:10 um one of the things that looks like
52:12 this model was trained on was footage
52:14 that's maybe out of focus and then goes
52:16 into rack
52:18 Focus but like that like that shots the
52:21 the phone's out of focus there and then
52:22 this whole shots out of focus but it
52:24 looks
52:26 intentional like it looks like something
52:27 that you would cut to someone's face
52:29 when you know you're trying to pass time
52:32 or something like that interesting all
52:35 right um this one is a couple sits
52:37 quietly on a rooftop watching lights of
52:39 drones oh interesting and again it one
52:44 didn't make
52:50 it just waiting for that thing to slam
52:52 into one of their
52:55 faces in a bar in a baron a detective
52:59 interrogates a handcuffed
53:03 suspect this is obviously from the movie
53:06 seven or is this is this seven or is
53:09 this um
53:11 uh No Country for Old Men lone stranger
53:16 questions a let's
53:21 see in a baron seven yeah this is from
53:24 seven so yeah so this looks like the
53:28 movie Seven except right in seven it was
53:31 it was the high tension power lines but
53:34 like there's a there's a dead body
53:35 here's the two people out here that's
53:38 kind of cool so let's let's um I'm gonna
53:41 say show more so that I'll generate more
53:43 just like that with the same prompt and
53:46 then we'll say in a in an
53:50 abandoned Urban landscape that's kind of
53:53 cool a detective interrogates
53:58 an enchanted prisoner a chained Spirit
54:02 let's see beside an empty grave
54:05 beside no we won't do any of those a
54:08 distant storm
54:11 bruise so wait where are we we're in an
54:13 abandoned landscape so we'll do an eerie
54:19 Eclipse all right so that's that so so
54:21 now we got a bunch of those
54:23 going oh look and this thing did show up
54:28 so this looks like No Country for Old
54:30 Men more than it looks like seven but
54:33 but again like it looks like a film
54:36 you've seen right it's got a familiarity
54:38 to
54:39 it and you don't need to be a
54:41 cinematographer you can learn from this
54:43 like for me this starts to become an
54:46 education
54:48 tool as much as a Production Tool right
54:52 if I love watching movies and I love
54:54 telling stories and maybe I'm good at
54:55 words but I'm not as good with the
54:57 technical part of film
55:00 making well now I can take an approach
55:02 like this and just learn the [ __ ] out of
55:04 this stuff and go this is the look I
55:07 love and then I go okay wait what what
55:10 does that mean what what is the look
55:12 let's go up
55:14 here visual Style Pale greens Grays and
55:18 green and and blues with with sharp
55:20 whatever whatever that is I don't know
55:22 what that said I crafted two intense
55:25 scenes
55:30 this one's
55:33 cool there's some janky that's pretty
55:36 [ __ ]
55:38 cool he ghosts right on out and there's
55:41 the grave that's left
55:44 behind there you go very [ __ ] cool
55:58 here's the urban
56:05 landscape look at that that's the weird
56:18 Eclipse all right yeah now we're done I
56:20 think we're down in the next
56:22 prompt civilians
56:25 evacuate all right these are just chaos
56:27 the ones with lots of people in them
56:28 don't seem to do too
56:30 well all right this looks decent what's
56:32 this a lone soldier Sprints through a
56:35 burning
56:43 Village I wouldn't call it a lone
56:48 stranger a factory worker oh that's cool
57:09 that'd be a cool scene for a music video
57:11 wouldn't
57:12 it let's go back to this one show more
57:16 show more show
57:19 more dances
57:23 erratically we'll keep dances
57:25 erratically
57:31 you could do every movie cliche ever 12
57:33 Monkeys oh yeah look it did look like 12
57:35 Monkeys you can make a trailer stitching
57:38 these together with a good song yeah
57:41 exactly I'm looking for a video maker
57:43 for a music video there you
57:45 go Napoleon Dynamite dance yeah exactly
57:49 dances erratically so a factory worker
57:51 so say a street
57:55 performer outo staircase an industrial
58:01 rooftop
58:04 skyscrapers show more show
58:09 more isn't this
58:11 cool we're just sort of Surfing the
58:13 latent space we're just sort of like
58:16 mindlessly
58:18 generating like that's
58:20 beautiful that's [ __ ]
58:25 beautiful it's got good
58:27 physics those weird ass Salt
58:32 Flats the sky is a little [ __ ] up and
58:35 weird but you
58:36 know depending on the storyline maybe
58:49 not show more show more show more show
58:53 more
58:56 I love this not having to [ __ ] prompt
58:59 and think I really
59:01 do and you know what I like I'm curious
59:04 where you guys are like do you guys
59:07 anyone feel like they're they're tired
59:10 of their brain the bottleneck of their
59:12 own brain yet like I feel I feel like
59:15 this weird
59:17 liberation of
59:20 like I get to just use my brain for the
59:23 [ __ ] that I really enjoy I'm like
59:28 offloading the stuff that my brain isn't
59:31 good at I don't know I don't I dig
59:38 it I used to do this but with
59:41 images in Deco here it's wild to Surf
59:44 through the Laten space yeah same Kyle I
59:47 hate prompting to be
59:50 honest like we burn it up yeah exactly
59:53 like yeah we were told well you got to
59:55 become prompt engineer
59:57 listen listen let me tell you something
1:00:00 you take my course on prompt engineering
1:00:02 and I will teach you the 17 steps what
1:00:04 you need to do is you need to construct
1:00:06 a perfectly structured prompt the 17
1:00:09 stages of perfect prompt you can use up
1:00:12 to 15 well you I mean I would recommend
1:00:15 using fif up to 15 of the 17 possible
1:00:19 options um you always want to start uh
1:00:21 with numbers one and two in the same
1:00:24 order but you can put them in the third
1:00:26 or fourth position but they must be one
1:00:28 and two right no
1:00:32 no stop
1:00:36 it if your brain works that
1:00:42 way you probably need medication
1:00:47 too we just need different
1:00:55 medications oh my God all right what do
1:00:59 we got here I I could not get this thing
1:01:01 to
1:01:03 do successful War scenes look look how
1:01:07 slow the planes are going it's like
1:01:08 drones in New Jersey right now and then
1:01:11 their limbs are like these rubber things
1:01:12 he's just this guy's running around look
1:01:14 he's going out trying to catch a carp in
1:01:16 the
1:01:17 water he's like I'm gonna go get a fish
1:01:20 I'll get a fish
1:01:26 aren't those bombers a little low
1:01:29 [Laughter]
1:01:34 Bob oh it's like what do you want to do
1:01:38 I don't know what do you want to do
1:01:42 exactly
1:01:45 exactly oh that's a nice
1:01:50 shot
1:01:52 whoa wait okay normal normal and go
1:02:02 weird embrace the Jank
1:02:04 people I can't wait until this gets
1:02:06 really
1:02:08 good want to
1:02:11 compare Kyle
1:02:14 [Music]
1:02:16 right that was really funny all right
1:02:20 it's still dreaming up that one oh
1:02:22 what's this
1:02:23 one a group of art thieves oh yeah this
1:02:26 one the the water scenes it's weird with
1:02:29 water scenes
1:02:31 too I mean those physics for the water
1:02:34 look pretty good but what the [ __ ] is
1:02:36 falling into the
1:02:38 water and how is it that deep on the
1:02:41 floor of a
1:02:44 building and here's more art
1:02:51 thieves oh man that's
1:02:54 funny okay are these he good that's good
1:02:57 that's
1:03:02 not hey Cowboy uh oh what did I
1:03:12 do hey Jim hey Bob uh I wish I could
1:03:17 quit you
1:03:25 yeah oh
1:03:37 uh all right let's just go we'll go look
1:03:39 at some horizontal work we did
1:03:44 here so oh that one's
1:03:51 cool yeah that's super cool
1:04:19 this like next
1:04:21 year we're going to be walking around
1:04:23 with our robots
1:04:31 that was kind of
1:04:35 cool I also isn't just cinematic aspect
1:04:39 ratio
1:04:40 cool I think it
1:04:43 is 21
1:04:53 by9 all right
1:04:56 did we do this one sideways nope nope
1:04:59 these
1:05:00 sucked I don't think we did that one
1:05:02 nope this one we did okay No Country for
1:05:05 Old Men we saw these I think
1:05:32 oh yeah here's all our dance Dancy
1:05:34 people all right what do we have
1:05:43 here this one's
1:05:46 cool like if you did
1:05:49 that and cut it to
1:05:54 that that kind of worked he's going in
1:05:57 front of and behind that railing
1:06:06 unfortunately see like you can't use
1:06:08 these whole Clips they're
1:06:11 just they're just
1:06:15 weird that one's
1:06:17 usable well his arms get a little long
1:06:20 but again you'd cut cut before it gets
1:06:22 weird right
1:06:34 yeah I think this one I think this one's
1:06:35 going to turn in I'm gonna turn this
1:06:37 into some sort of music
1:06:41 video it can never do break dancers it
1:06:44 doesn't
1:06:46 understand these models really don't
1:06:49 understand when hands start in the air
1:06:51 and end up on the ground it like turns
1:06:53 them into legs it can't it just can't
1:06:57 [Laughter]
1:07:04 compute I love this dancing in front of
1:07:09 [ __ ] you know power stations that are
1:07:12 polluting the [ __ ] air that's really
1:07:14 cool oh here's the skyscraper
1:07:19 ones I mean there's enough in here you
1:07:21 could this this could be cut together
1:07:23 I'm going to go make a few more of these
1:07:25 let me go back up
1:07:26 here we'll go show more show more show
1:07:30 more show more show more let's go back
1:07:36 to outdoor
1:07:38 staircase industrial
1:07:44 rooftop wind
1:07:46 turbines uh it can never do wind
1:07:48 turbines for some
1:07:54 reason factory worker let's
1:07:56 [Music]
1:07:57 do construction
1:08:01 worker we're going to keep the dances
1:08:06 erratically boarded up Alleyway I like
1:08:09 that oh abandoned
1:08:11 warehouse all right show more show more
1:08:14 show more all right I'll do a video of
1:08:18 that but I know someone wanted I don't
1:08:20 know if the person that wanted to see
1:08:22 tasks is still here but we'll do tasks
1:08:24 now a two second cut cut could work yeah
1:08:26 exactly what's the name of this tool
1:08:28 this tool is called uh Luma Labs dream
1:08:32 machine and I'm in a a feature it's it's
1:08:35 the primary interface of the tool now is
1:08:38 this thing called
1:08:39 boards and boards are these combinations
1:08:42 of you can you you put your prompts in
1:08:45 here and when you put a prompt in it it
1:08:48 generates
1:08:51 um these options that you can pull down
1:08:54 from your prompt and then you can put in
1:08:56 new prompts and when you put in a new
1:08:58 prompt it basically makes a new row and
1:09:01 then within a row you can you know add
1:09:05 additional stuff or do variations of it
1:09:07 really easily look at like look at this
1:09:10 one this one's
1:09:12 gorgeous like right there just start the
1:09:14 cut right
1:09:21 there it's got a weird foot right there
1:09:25 wait that no it's normal all right
1:09:28 that's
1:09:33 cool big old tracking
1:09:38 shot I
1:09:40 mean even though these things are
1:09:42 jankier than [ __ ] look at that shot and
1:09:46 let's say that you wanted that shot in a
1:09:49 movie you'd have to [ __ ] fly to
1:09:51 [ __ ]
1:09:53 Utah you know Scout the
1:09:56 scenes probably hire I don't know a
1:10:00 dozen people to get the gear out there
1:10:03 and the food out there and
1:10:05 the the [ __ ]
1:10:09 drone or you'd have to hire a
1:10:12 helicopter to get this three second
1:10:19 shot just [ __ ] Bonkers
1:10:22 man it really is all right let's go to
1:10:26 chat
1:10:28 je someone wants to know how to do tasks
1:10:32 So
1:10:36 Yesterday open AI released this thing
1:10:40 called
1:10:42 tasks so on your chat GPT slide or or
1:10:48 screen or show up at Burning Man first
1:10:51 yeah there you go exactly you get to
1:10:53 Burning Man early to get that shot
1:10:56 shoot it on your
1:11:03 iPhone Todd Waller Kyle do a key frame
1:11:06 video you upload a starting image
1:11:10 um yeah I well I'm just what I was
1:11:13 playing with is The Ray 2 um model and
1:11:16 you can't do image to you can't do key
1:11:19 frame videos with Ray 2 yet so I'll get
1:11:21 there Todd Waller I just I just wanted
1:11:23 to play with The Ray 2 thing to see how
1:11:26 it was doing I think tomorrow what I'll
1:11:28 [ __ ] around with is that that research I
1:11:31 did on
1:11:35 Gemini
1:11:41 so actually you know we could
1:11:44 go video clip ideas to explore physics
1:11:48 simulations so let me just go grab all
1:11:52 these so there's 30 of them now which is
1:11:54 cool go into chat gptt we'll go into
1:11:57 that same text to video prompt
1:11:59 experiments so I'm going to say okay I
1:12:03 want
1:12:05 to
1:12:07 take these oh I got an idea okay
1:12:11 30
1:12:13 um
1:12:15 ideas that will
1:12:19 test
1:12:21 um
1:12:23 the physics
1:12:27 simulation
1:12:31 capabilities of a gen AI video
1:12:38 maker but I want
1:12:41 you
1:12:42 to
1:12:44 reimagine wait
1:12:47 reimagine each
1:12:50 one
1:12:52 into the closest wait let's see the
1:12:58 closest
1:13:02 um shot
1:13:07 from a
1:13:10 known
1:13:12 movie and be
1:13:15 similarly
1:13:17 wait
1:13:19 similarly
1:13:21 inventive
1:13:23 with your inter
1:13:26 pretation of the
1:13:32 scene as
1:13:36 above and I'm going to paste in all
1:13:38 those video
1:13:40 clips or all those physics things
1:13:45 bang and now we should
1:13:48 get 30 movies Newton's Cradle from
1:13:51 inspired by
1:13:53 Interstellar a pendulum like Newton's
1:13:55 Cradle setup floats in zero gravity this
1:13:59 is cool the domino effect the Dark
1:14:03 Knight I'm I'm sorry man you tell me
1:14:06 this isn't [ __ ] creative you tell me
1:14:09 this
1:14:10 isn't taking disperate [ __ ] Concepts
1:14:14 and seamlessly merging them together
1:14:16 like a [ __ ] person
1:14:18 does I just the more I use these tools
1:14:22 the more I'm
1:14:24 like this is this is how we think this
1:14:27 is how we
1:14:28 work it's just way [ __ ]
1:14:33 faster objects rolling down an incline
1:14:36 Raiders of the lock lost Arc
1:14:39 yes that's the perfect that's the
1:14:41 perfect
1:14:45 one all right what are we gonna what
1:14:48 movie scene could we do that's like you
1:14:50 know something rolling down an incline
1:14:52 oh remember Raiders the Lost arc when
1:14:54 the big thing chases him out of the
1:14:58 cave it's exactly what [ __ ] people
1:15:02 do why are you so angry shut
1:15:08 up all right let's go back to chat GPT
1:15:11 oh we're in chat GPT do we have another
1:15:13 one open I've got to yeah okay here we
1:15:16 go I want to let that one finish okay
1:15:21 so in order to do a task you you go to
1:15:25 this second option in your pull down
1:15:27 menu with scheduled tasks and then it
1:15:30 just looks exactly like it did
1:15:33 before but now we can go let's see what
1:15:37 do we
1:15:38 want
1:15:43 um help me come
1:15:46 up
1:15:48 with
1:15:51 interesting Daily News searches
1:15:56 is I could
1:16:00 do based on what H knew about
1:16:07 me how about searching for updates on
1:16:10 Innovative Small Business Solutions new
1:16:12 advancements in generative AI are the
1:16:14 latest trends
1:16:15 and okay great so now I'm going to say
1:16:19 again not using my
1:16:21 brain write me a prompt
1:16:27 for you to
1:16:37 fetch
1:16:38 some
1:16:41 combination of those on a daily basis I
1:16:50 want you to search for
1:16:58 20 stories but
1:17:03 only share the top five you think I will
1:17:09 most
1:17:14 like so I'm not making a task yet I'm
1:17:17 just using chat GPT to oh it's so late
1:17:20 daily at 9:00
1:17:21 am got it I'll fetch the top five every
1:17:24 day
1:17:25 and if I say edit
1:17:28 this oh interesting search for 20
1:17:30 stories about Innovative Small Business
1:17:32 Solutions generative AI advancements
1:17:35 Creative Marketing campaigns engaging
1:17:37 social media tools Tech conferences
1:17:39 sustainability initiatives and Tech Team
1:17:41 Building approaches and storytelling
1:17:43 techniques combining technology and the
1:17:45 Arts tell me the top five you like most
1:17:48 daily at 9:00 amm what's today it's
1:17:51 9:15 let's go let's change this to pm
1:17:58 and let's change this to
1:18:02 917 917 all right
1:18:06 save okay so now the way this works and
1:18:10 and this is super
1:18:13 cool so I did I I made oh and if you
1:18:16 want to if you want to see all of your
1:18:18 tasks you click on the little three dots
1:18:21 here on a task and you say view all
1:18:23 tasks so here's all my
1:18:26 tasks right so now I have one at
1:18:29 9917 um I was supposed to get a Sonet
1:18:32 this morning no wait I was supposed to
1:18:34 get a daily image this morning but chat
1:18:36 GPT crapped the bed and I didn't get it
1:18:39 but the cocktail one at 840 that's the
1:18:42 one we got so the way it
1:18:44 works if I scroll down here to my chat
1:18:47 history this Sin City sipper cocktail
1:18:50 this is
1:18:55 here's the prompt from Sin City
1:18:58 sipper and then I said where's my prompt
1:19:01 I guess it's at the top
1:19:06 yeah right here's the actual
1:19:11 prompt I want you to share an original
1:19:13 cocktail or
1:19:15 mocktail every day at 8:40 p.m. and so
1:19:19 when we were working tonight I was in
1:19:20 chat GP or no I wasn't in chat GPT I was
1:19:23 somewhere else but I got you you enabled
1:19:25 desktop notifications and when I clicked
1:19:27 on the desktop notification it took me
1:19:30 to this chat and it just added in this
1:19:36 drink so [ __ ]
1:19:40 cool so that's the way it works
1:19:43 so I'll just I'll just stay in
1:19:46 here and I'll I'll zip this over here
1:19:49 and what we should see see where this
1:19:51 says AI Salon news updates right here it
1:19:55 should
1:19:56 add five news stories into that
1:20:00 chat right about now hey
1:20:05 look it
1:20:08 worked and here's five story this
1:20:11 amazing hines's ketchup fraud
1:20:14 campaign Runway Gen 4 revolutionizing 3D
1:20:18 scene
1:20:19 generation tabalo AI ad assistant Abby
1:20:23 cool so there's our five stories boom
1:20:26 9117 five stories on whatever the [ __ ] I
1:20:30 to told it to
1:20:31 do how cool is
1:20:34 that can you email the results from the
1:20:36 cast that's incredible I know isn't it
1:20:39 um no but so okay let me go let me go
1:20:41 out of because my voice is starting to
1:20:44 go I gotta I
1:20:46 gotta I gotta start winding it down what
1:20:49 the [ __ ] is happening with my hair why
1:20:51 didn't anyone tell me about that good
1:20:54 Lord look at that that's absolute
1:20:58 [ __ ]
1:21:01 insanity looks like a goddamn tornado on
1:21:04 my head all
1:21:05 right
1:21:07 um you know what's so
1:21:09 [Laughter]
1:21:12 funny hair is funny I remember I
1:21:16 remember oh well Story vine we would we
1:21:18 would go to events and and we would film
1:21:20 people right and so one of the things
1:21:22 we' do is we'd take a picture of them
1:21:24 and then we'd show the picture and say
1:21:25 do you like it and so I was filming this
1:21:28 woman one
1:21:29 time and I took the picture and I
1:21:32 thought it looked great and I showed it
1:21:33 to her she was like
1:21:35 ah and like and it was like her hair was
1:21:39 down and she wanted it up or it was up
1:21:41 and she wanted it down or like there was
1:21:43 a piece of hair in front of her shoulder
1:21:45 and she wanted it behind like it was a
1:21:47 it from my perspective it it was a minor
1:21:50 thing and I thought it looked better the
1:21:52 other way but for her it was an absolute
1:21:55 [ __ ] Panic so I assume there's some
1:21:57 people that would like a tornado on
1:21:59 their head I'm not one of
1:22:06 them okay looks
1:22:09 normal
1:22:11 um okay so the question about could you
1:22:14 have this thing email you
1:22:17 now one thing I want to be super clear
1:22:21 about these tasks you could do way more
1:22:25 sophisticated versions of this with
1:22:27 other tools right now you could use
1:22:30 zappier to do really sophisticated
1:22:33 versions of this you could use make
1:22:35 there are probably tools that are that
1:22:37 are designed specifically for that I
1:22:40 know nothing about this sub steo sto's
1:22:43 hairfree he doesn't have the four
1:22:46 different weave tupay that I've got
1:22:48 going he's jealous of my Tays I've got
1:22:51 really good I spent a lot of money on
1:22:53 the hair tape that's what keeps it down
1:22:59 um
1:23:01 okay why I think tasks from open AI is
1:23:05 significant are not because what they do
1:23:07 is all that interesting or
1:23:10 remarkable it's cool that it's doing it
1:23:12 within a chat GPT chat and it's
1:23:14 basically just spinning up a new result
1:23:17 within within a long chat like I could
1:23:20 see this becoming a very valuable thing
1:23:22 to be able to just go back and scroll
1:23:24 through these iies um so it's super cool
1:23:28 what it does but what I suspect that
1:23:31 this is I suspect that tasks are a
1:23:36 component of what this thing that
1:23:38 they're about to launch called operators
1:23:40 which are autonomous agents that can go
1:23:42 do things on your behalf I assume that
1:23:45 this will work together with that now
1:23:49 what is that we don't know yet but it is
1:23:51 likely a system where you can create
1:23:54 agent that go off and do [ __ ] for
1:23:57 you and probably within that you can
1:24:00 create tasks that those agents can use
1:24:03 is my
1:24:05 guess start the trend tornado hair with
1:24:09 pink
1:24:12 bows I bet actually this hair with this
1:24:15 bow I think would look pretty good yeah
1:24:17 that's see now you're talking that's
1:24:20 some pretty solid what the pink bow does
1:24:23 for me is it
1:24:25 it masks the shitty
1:24:28 hairline the ever increasing
1:24:32 forehead so now I now I can look like a
1:24:35 you know just like
1:24:37 a I probably look like a 32y old now
1:24:42 right now you you look like Alec Baldwin
1:24:45 on a
1:24:46 bender with with that pink bow you look
1:24:49 like Rosie O'Donnell had a bad
1:24:51 day you don't look 32 at all well I
1:24:54 don't know what you're talking about why
1:24:55 does anyone watch this
1:24:59 channel why are there so many people
1:25:01 here I I don't understand this at all I
1:25:03 haven't learned a thing it's called the
1:25:05 AI learning lab with is this the
1:25:08 substitute
1:25:09 teacher good
1:25:11 Lord I've never seen anything like this
1:25:14 why are you still here it's not
1:25:16 important right now all
1:25:22 right I'm a writer so I can add
1:25:25 in that chat a task to remind me to get
1:25:28 back to something yeah well so not only
1:25:31 could you do that so so so GG
1:25:35 Zen you're a
1:25:39 writer here's an
1:25:42 idea this is a fun one okay wait wait
1:25:44 wait wait wait watch watch this is gonna
1:25:47 be good hang on let me share my screen
1:25:51 again okay watch what we're going to do
1:25:58 okay I
1:26:02 can't okay I can't do that okay got it
1:26:04 got it got it got it got it okay GG
1:26:09 assuming that you journal or you have
1:26:12 notebooks if you do them digitally you
1:26:15 could just take a bunch of your
1:26:21 notes copy and paste them into a chat or
1:26:25 upload using this little chat thingy
1:26:28 here or the paperclip thingy here but
1:26:31 I'm going to show you another thing I
1:26:32 don't know if you know this but chat GPT
1:26:35 has
1:26:36 Vision so I'm gonna go to the Google and
1:26:40 I'm going to go um
1:26:44 hand
1:26:47 written journal
1:26:50 pages and then I'm going to go
1:26:53 images all right good
1:26:55 and then we're going to go
1:26:58 find something like
1:27:00 this is that even [ __ ]
1:27:06 readable a page from my
1:27:09 journal good [ __ ] Lord who writes
1:27:12 like that all right perfect let's take
1:27:15 this save image
1:27:19 as um
1:27:22 Journal hornal
1:27:26 and then go back to chat
1:27:29 je and let's upload said
1:27:32 journal
1:27:34 hernel and say what what does this
1:27:40 say question
1:27:47 mark the day before my birthday my
1:27:50 sister asked me to court for a lengthy
1:27:52 dilemma
1:27:55 this assured me forgiveness regarding a
1:27:57 week ago so I didn't have the recompense
1:28:00 whatever okay something regret the
1:28:03 complex days and okay
1:28:07 great I would work in the same place
1:28:10 these days now okay
1:28:12 so so let's take this and let's turn
1:28:15 this into I want you to
1:28:20 turn these journal entries into a
1:28:28 series
1:28:31 of
1:28:35 100 um
1:28:42 short writing
1:28:45 prompts that will inspire
1:28:50 me to write
1:28:55 every day and write something
1:29:01 interesting
1:29:06 okay great and so here's right about a
1:29:10 misunderstood gift that causes tension
1:29:12 in a family imagine a day before a
1:29:14 milestone birthday
1:29:21 right all right so
1:29:25 so we took a picture of a
1:29:27 journal that was unreadable from my eyes
1:29:32 unreadable absolutely unreadable
1:29:34 beautiful but unreadable it read it we
1:29:38 now have a hundred creative writing
1:29:40 prompts inspired by that journal right
1:29:42 so you could take a big pile of your
1:29:44 writing or poetry or whatever it
1:29:46 is and turn it into a bunch of prompts
1:29:49 inspired by your writing and then do
1:29:52 this flip into a okay so now I gotta now
1:29:55 I got to copy these you'll see how we'll
1:29:57 do
1:29:58 this going to copy all
1:30:02 these boom copy
1:30:06 new scheduled task
1:30:10 um I am a
1:30:15 writer I am trying to be a better
1:30:20 writer I am committing
1:30:24 to
1:30:28 you and all of the world that I will
1:30:34 write every
1:30:42 morning at 7
1:30:45 a.m. I want you to send
1:30:51 me one of these writing
1:31:01 prompts along
1:31:04 with an
1:31:08 affirmation I
1:31:11 can
1:31:14 repeat 10
1:31:18 times before starting my writing session
1:31:24 that will
1:31:26 inspire and support
1:31:31 me and then let's do this at 9:30
1:31:36 p.m.
1:31:39 930 p.m. so we can see it in two
1:31:43 minutes because I've got add and I can't
1:31:46 wait till s in the [ __ ] morning from
1:31:49 a stupid
1:31:50 inspiration boom send a writing prompt
1:31:54 daily at 9:30 p.m. got it I'll send you
1:31:58 something at 9:30 it's 9:29 now let's go
1:32:00 back to another here I am chatting about
1:32:03 what was I chatting about here that's
1:32:05 the news updates let's go back to
1:32:07 cocktails here I am just marveling over
1:32:11 my my thing that I didn't need to prompt
1:32:13 I just got a drink I got a drink in my
1:32:16 inbox whenever I [ __ ] wanted it
1:32:24 isn't this cool all right it's 9:29 9:30
1:32:27 is coming we should get a little desktop
1:32:29 notification
1:32:35 here I love this feature yeah this is
1:32:38 there's there's something about being
1:32:39 creative here that's really good just
1:32:42 hopped on what are you guys T are you
1:32:44 guys tasking yeah we're using um open AI
1:32:48 tasks and it's 9:30 we should get a
1:32:50 desktop notification
1:32:52 now h
1:32:56 huh did it give us one and I missed the
1:32:59 desktop not there it is
1:33:03 Boom write every morning commit to your
1:33:06 craft one word at a
1:33:08 time so here's your prompt there's your
1:33:10 writing prompt affirmation to repeat 10
1:33:13 times before starting your writing
1:33:15 session I am a writer my words flow with
1:33:18 Clarity purpose and creativity I am a
1:33:21 writer my F words flow with clarity
1:33:24 purpose and creativity I am a writer my
1:33:27 words flow with Clarity purpose and
1:33:29 creativity and then there's your prompt
1:33:31 inspired by your Journal that you wrote
1:33:34 in your chicken scratch that no one can
1:33:36 read but
1:33:38 you that's [ __ ]
1:33:44 cool this Sin City sippers a menace to
1:33:50 AA
1:33:52 indeed well [ __ ] isn't that cool
1:33:59 [Laughter]
1:34:02 Gigi pass me that drink Kyle
1:34:07 exactly I mean and look like this is a
1:34:10 short little thing the the news thing
1:34:12 that it did you know sent me news
1:34:22 stories wait was that it
1:34:24 no business insights was news stories
1:34:27 five little news
1:34:29 stories that I could just go out and oh
1:34:32 there's the
1:34:33 pictures but there's the
1:34:36 article
1:34:38 right so if I've got my alarm set for 7
1:34:43 or
1:34:44 6:30 I could have this thing show up at
1:34:48 625 that's I just hop on to chat GPT and
1:34:51 there's there's a bunch of stories and
1:34:52 it's because it's a lar language model
1:34:55 it's it's like writing summaries of
1:34:57 these things or it's coming up with
1:35:00 affirmations for you to say as a
1:35:06 writer create a task for AI martinis for
1:35:10 each llm model yeah we could do that we
1:35:11 can just do that with with Sin City
1:35:14 sipper I my problem with demoing tasks
1:35:18 is is that I've got I've got a a whole
1:35:20 [ __ ] ton of tasks that I'm going to have
1:35:22 to constantly go prune
1:35:24 [Laughter]
1:35:28 where's my where's my task here's one so
1:35:31 you got to go to tasks to prune them so
1:35:34 generative AI news actually this one I
1:35:37 like but let me edit this one I'll I'll
1:35:38 set this one
1:35:40 for for the
1:35:44 morning set it
1:35:47 for 6:45
1:35:56 The Voice she's going The Voice she is
1:35:59 going share a cocktail we're going to
1:36:01 keep that one I like that one daily
1:36:03 image and tweet this one failed today so
1:36:06 I'm gonna kill
1:36:09 it um search generative AI news that's
1:36:13 the 645 one send a writing prompt I
1:36:15 actually like that one but I should
1:36:18 modify it I'm not going to do it it's
1:36:21 that's not my thing I'll delete that
1:36:28 um interesting Daily News will kill
1:36:33 that oh wait was that no this this I'm
1:36:37 gonna I'll move this one
1:36:42 to
1:36:44 um
1:36:48 seven and then this is right a sonnet we
1:36:50 don't need a [ __ ] sonnet what kind of
1:36:54 tentious
1:36:56 douchebag gets emailed a
1:37:01 Sonet [ __ ] liberal arts
1:37:04 Majors I can't delete it I guess I guess
1:37:08 I'm getting
1:37:09 [Laughter]
1:37:14 sonnets where why where did that go oh
1:37:16 it looks like that one's corrupt maybe
1:37:19 maybe I'm never getting sonnets can I
1:37:21 search for sonnet here sonnet
1:37:30 huh yeah it's gone that thing that
1:37:33 thing's corrupt all right something's
1:37:35 [ __ ] up in the database oh well
1:37:38 whatever all right everybody I'm wasted
1:37:42 I am wasted wasted wasted
1:37:48 wasted um
1:38:07 yeah I'm just gonna get out of here all
1:38:09 right whoa I asked it to go fetch a
1:38:12 webcam image from my local ski resort on
1:38:15 the hour every hour for a day and it
1:38:18 said done there you go we'll see if it
1:38:21 actually works just set the time Todd
1:38:24 just do what I do just go back into that
1:38:26 thing and set the time for like two
1:38:28 minutes from now like every every hour
1:38:30 on the hour at you know colon 17 minutes
1:38:34 or whatever it is right now it's 35 so
1:38:36 do it for like colon
1:38:38 37 and and you'll get the first one in
1:38:40 two
1:38:42 minutes let my let my immediate
1:38:45 gratification
1:38:47 Obsession color your world
1:38:56 oh good lord Jokers speak in other
1:38:59 languages it's not
1:39:02 fair I'm painfully
1:39:10 [Music]
1:39:21 American how many tasks can you have I
1:39:24 assume as many as you
1:39:27 want I mean you know how many
1:39:30 notifications can you
1:39:34 tolerate but I mean I mean what's listen
1:39:37 I I mean you can do these kind of things
1:39:40 everywhere else but I just think the
1:39:41 fact that it's now built into chat GPT
1:39:45 is just sweet right you're in here
1:39:47 you're do what's cool about this is
1:39:49 you're in here you you do some sort of
1:39:51 cool thing right like Sin City SI right
1:39:54 it comes up with the drink it makes the
1:39:55 picture so now I've got the the prompts
1:39:58 for that and it
1:40:00 works well now you can just sort of copy
1:40:03 The Prompt basically go and make a new
1:40:05 task and say do this for me once a week
1:40:09 you know every FR every Friday afternoon
1:40:11 at four o'clock send me you know five
1:40:13 drink
1:40:15 recipes the world is too crazy these
1:40:18 days I agree I agree with that
1:40:30 [Music]
1:40:35 waiting one minute now all right Todd
1:40:37 Waller let's see if Todd Waller gets his
1:40:41 uh his ski resort photo every hour on
1:40:44 the
1:40:51 hour oh it's funny
1:40:57 oh good
1:41:01 lord Joy P's gotten a UK phone number to
1:41:05 put Tik Tok on a UK server you might
1:41:08 it's
1:41:10 probably IP based Joy you're probably
1:41:12 going to have to use a VPN which is not
1:41:15 I mean a VPN might work and maybe having
1:41:18 a I I I would
1:41:20 assume that the phone number is less
1:41:22 important than the
1:41:24 VPN the IP address but I don't know
1:41:27 where will it pop up when you set up
1:41:29 your task you have to give your computer
1:41:32 permissions to do browser notifications
1:41:35 if you didn't do that it won't it'll
1:41:37 just pop up in the chat where you set up
1:41:40 the task is what I'm now learning which
1:41:43 is kind of that's kind of an elegant
1:41:46 solution I'm kind of digging
1:41:48 it because what you could also do
1:41:54 so let's say you're getting that writing
1:41:56 affirmation thing every morning and
1:41:58 after two weeks you're like this is
1:42:00 great but it's a little basic I want it
1:42:01 to be a little more sophisticated just
1:42:03 in the same chat where it already knows
1:42:06 how to do that you could just modify
1:42:08 modify the prompt and say you know I
1:42:10 want this to be more sophisticated give
1:42:13 me the version you gave me today but but
1:42:15 blow it out a little bit in the
1:42:16 following ways and then it does that and
1:42:18 then you go yeah send me that each
1:42:20 morning and it just will like it's
1:42:22 that's [ __ ] brilliant it's it's it's
1:42:25 so
1:42:29 slick all
1:42:31 right so go check your uh Todd Weller go
1:42:35 check your prompt history go look at the
1:42:37 one that you made it in and see if
1:42:38 there's a new entry at the bottom of it
1:42:41 use a Raspberry Pi to Tunnel into
1:42:43 another country could work for keeping
1:42:46 Tik Tock yes yes it
1:42:50 could yeah make yourself a little uh
1:42:53 make make yourself a little Raspberry Pi
1:42:56 server little Wi-Fi router that that
1:42:59 tunnels to another country that could
1:43:02 work if you're that geeky [ __ ] go for
1:43:05 it I think I'm just gonna let the uh let
1:43:09 the I'm gonna keep making my stupid
1:43:11 [ __ ] are you scrolling hey are you
1:43:13 scrolling those things until this thing
1:43:16 [ __ ] Flames
1:43:18 out and maybe it doesn't flame out you
1:43:21 know there's there's [ __ ] all sorts
1:43:23 of rumors I
1:43:25 saw okay so Mr Wonderful said he was GNA
1:43:28 buy it he's got 20 billion he can put up
1:43:30 for it I saw Mr Beast today said let us
1:43:34 let me buy it um uh rumors were that
1:43:38 Elon Musk was gonna buy it I heard today
1:43:40 that um Donald Trump is gonna save it on
1:43:44 January
1:43:45 20th it'll but it'll be gone on January
1:43:48 19th the Chinese have said no we're g to
1:43:50 shut it the [ __ ] down on January 19th it
1:43:53 didn't come I don't know what to tell
1:43:55 you dude uh keep
1:43:58 trying uh maybe make another one um but
1:44:03 did you get it so Todd did you get it to
1:44:05 successfully like like what I would do
1:44:07 is go find the server that can grab a
1:44:11 screenshot first and see if you can get
1:44:14 it to return a screenshot before you set
1:44:16 up the task for
1:44:19 it and then say do that every every hour
1:44:23 been hoping Mark Cuban would buy it oops
1:44:26 it was set up for tomorrow at 9:40 there
1:44:28 you
1:44:32 go all right um okay I'm gonna get out
1:44:36 of here peace out to uh YouTube LinkedIn
1:44:38 and X I will see you tomorrow 800m same
1:44:42 bat places and uh we'll see uh we'll see
1:44:46 if there's any news it you know like
1:44:48 like all things in our government they
1:44:50 want to get as much political bang out
1:44:52 of the buck as poss possible so you know
1:44:55 if there's going to be a repre it will
1:44:57 be at the last minute because you
1:45:00 know why not give 200 million people
1:45:06 anxiety you're the government yay you
1:45:10 did it everybody's shaking and crying
1:45:13 congratulations all right hope you had
1:45:16 fun tonight peace out bye
