26. 6:14humble um Tik Tok Channel and this might seem like a shitty home office but this is a $20 million Video Production Studio
27. 6:23and that's the AI learning lab private jet so anything you give here just it it just the the amount of I'll tell you
28. 6:31what you know what this channel really is you make money yeah exactly oh man so we got some got
29. 6:47some some good uh some some interesting stuff from from last night to today so last night we went and played
30. 6:56with a bunch of tools bunch of image tools um today so this image was made by Corey Sandler and today what did he oh he the
31. 7:06Dr Dre Global impact award yeah that makes sense Jay-Z would win that all right cool um Corey Sandler was
32. 7:14live and she was just walking through she got inspired I think who was it steo who I just saw in here steo posted an image on
33. 7:26Show and Tell in the AI salon and then it ran Corey down a rabbit hole where she just started with an image he made
34. 7:33and just and and she walked through her whole process it was so cool just hearing how someone else does it right like like what she did like
35. 7:50tactically was what we all do you type in some words you're like N I don't like that but like what blew me away about it was
36. 8:00she got to images that if I got to those images I stop I just stop I'm I'm like oh that's brilliant let me go share that and then I'm
37. 8:09done and she got to This brilliant [ __ ] and then she goes well now just make it a girl make it a boy make it old make it
38. 8:16young make it Angry make it sad and she just kept digging and digging and and then at one point it went way away from
39. 8:22what she wanted then she got it she keep brought it back and it was just a reminder to me that a sharing what you know sharing
40. 8:33what you're learning just sharing how you do AI as obvious as you think it is and that was one of the things you know I
41. 8:42hopeful I hope I got through to her a bit at one point she was kind of apologizing for not really knowing what
42. 8:46she was doing I'm like no no you know what you're doing like like you're doing it um and and it's listen it's something we
43. 8:58got to work on people Irregulars and all um something we got to work on is I want us to all so so okay so
44. 9:07here's the thing if you're new here this this is the this is the basic here's the trick for get getting AI literate you
45. 9:14play with it you play with it a lot you get really curious and you just play and then you apply it you just figure out
46. 9:21something you want to do with it and you do it more and like you apply it towards something you solve a problem or you
47. 9:26come up with an art project you apply it and then the third step is you share you share what you're learning you
48. 9:34share what worked you share what didn't work why because everyone's trying to figure this out right now and it will
49. 9:43help you get better at what you're doing by articulating what you're doing and it will help other people who think this is
50. 9:51[ __ ] rocket science or jet design to to maybe have the courage to try it and then I want to add something
51. 10:00to it I want us to encourage each other to stop apologizing stop apologizing for not being an artist stop apologizing for not
52. 10:12what knowing what you're doing about AI stop apologizing about oh it didn't take me that long so it doesn't have that
53. 10:18much value [ __ ] that it does it does just Corey sharing that she got to this remarkable work and kept going like
54. 10:3210 levels deeper was revelatory to me and to her that's just how she works right so the things that we think are common sense are not
55. 10:49common thank you for saying this it's such a great reminder yeah this is this is part of my you know I talked about my my you know
56. 10:59declaring my new who I am stuff and I you know I said I'm going to leave shame at the door let's all do that [ __ ]
57. 11:12this there's nothing to apologize for there's nothing to apologize for for using AI tools they're absolutely art if you're
58. 11:23if you're making if you're making if you're creating things with AI with the intention of an artist with artistic intention it's [ __ ]
59. 11:36art and if you generate something and it only took you 3 minutes and in your mind it should have taken 3 hours let's Let It
60. 11:50Go that spending more time on something makes it more valuable time equals money that's that's what the the industrialists said at the
61. 12:03beginning of the Industrial Revolution work work harder work more work more hours so I think we have we have we have
62. 12:13deep-seated apologies I missed what Corey did what did you do she well she she what she did and was both non- remarkable and remarkable the
63. 12:25non- remarkable part was she she was just showing like here's what I did last night I got inspired by steo and show
64. 12:32and tell in the AI Salon he made this cool image it inspired me and you know she said she was up till like 2: in the morning making
65. 12:39images but what she did on her live was she just walked through she she had her whole prompt history there for what she
66. 12:47did so she showed the image that she started with with him and then she started just running down these creative
67. 12:54rabbit holes and and and she would sort of run out of where she wanted and back into where she wanted and then she got
68. 12:59to these images like that one really speaks to me and she just kept going and I just I I enough enough
69. 13:09apologizing we don't have to apologize for using AI we don't have to apologize for not knowing what we're doing we
70. 13:15don't have to apologize for not putting in enough time so yeah so and here's the thing I'd like us to hold start holding other to account
71. 13:30and and it's been happening a little bit on on your weekend GPT jams I've noticed that sometimes the people that
72. 13:37are there speaking who are brought in as experts because they're expert at something apologize for not being a good enough
73. 13:48expert um Kyle and the Gang going to Grammys and show inel awesome okay great uh that's awesome um and and I'll show you what what
74. 14:02um what's going on oh that's really cool steo oh you know what's funny steo so I showed I showed Gabby you did a a mini
75. 14:10fig of me and champy I showed it to Gabby and she thought it was real she goes oh can he send us one of those it's
76. 14:18like it doesn't actually exist she goes can we frame it so so we might have one of your pieces of artwork hanging in our house here steo
77. 14:30um yeah yeah yeah got thinking about I know nothing means I have no B boundaries and can fly yeah that was the that was the the
78. 14:41phrase you said uh Corey something around I know nothing or whatever it was but but it was just like so I'm glad

83. 15:20what lit me up and here's what didn't light me up and then I kept going I kept digging and I kept doing this and I kept going that
84. 15:29and it just like what hit me was we we all have such different working Styles right was this Wizardry

87. 15:59it Tik Tok saves the last 30 days of your lives I don't know if you've ever downloaded that but that and you might
88. 16:07do that a lot but I just I thought it was a really good one so anyway it might might be worth throwing up on YouTube
89. 16:11Somewhere so it it's got um some longevity to it because it was just it was just really good it was it was just very simple it was a very
90. 16:21simple you know just good reminder that we all work in different ways and we all bring different things to this right that idea of inclusion
91. 16:30um because the thing that's obvious to you is revelatory to someone else I just I keep running into it over and over and over again so

105. 18:52Irregulars um has been coming here for months about a month ago or something like like that one of one of the things
106. 19:00that we talk about in here is talk about what you're doing with AI so she was talking about what she was doing with AI
107. 19:05she's gotten really good at the image stuff and someone she went to high school with has got a band and reached
108. 19:12out to her and said hey will you make a video for us using Ai and so so she is now a a music video producer um and then
109. 19:22so she just signed up for Runway ml's 48 hour video contest so we're going to look at rough cut together here on Ye Old Tik Tok this is
110. 19:33exciting um so thank you for sharing that and allowing us to to put it here that's pretty cool all right all right let's go over to
111. 19:48YouTube here we are who just won what Billy Isis just won for
112. 20:04hang on hang on Sherry such a fan of Billy ishes it's such a great song that song is like

114. 20:36y my goodness damn that's song of the year who literally like I was looking at everybody's faces and I lean over and I
115. 20:45was like not a chance yo I just want to say everybody in this category like that was a crazy list of incredible
116. 20:55people incredible artists she's so cool she's so cool all right you know one of the things I I there's there's something about her
117. 21:11that there's something about Billy eish that she's got such a hang on let me let me I'll I'm going to come back to you
118. 21:25Sher dve we're going to play this but but let me let me just talk there there's something about her that she's got such a unique point
119. 21:35of view creatively and and you know I'll give I'll give her brother credit too he's he's an amazing engineer and and a
120. 21:44songwriter but there's something about her her particular point of view that it's that it's so specific that you know
121. 21:52she's a true artist and then true artists sometimes they hit and sometimes they don't and she was you know right place
122. 22:05right time right circumstances right Talent all that right point of view that she stood out in the sea of whatever
123. 22:12musical noise was happening and she Rose above it that's her her uniqueness to me feels like what it's going to take to rise
124. 22:24above the noise with AI that there are going to be artists and and they're not necessarily going to be artists that
125. 22:31started out as artists like the thing we're about to watch with Sher D she's got 20 30 years in nursing and she's leaning into this AI
126. 22:43stuff and she's she's starting to find an artistic voice for herself and so the thing that I that I'm just I can't wait to see and and we're
127. 22:54not quite there yet because not enough people know about AI the tools are not quite there but there's going to be an
128. 23:01entire new class of creatives that come and and there's just going to be tons of work that comes out and it's just going
129. 23:07to be all this noise and it's going to be super slick like the the floor of creativity is going to rise right but
130. 23:14the base is still going to be the base and then out of that soup someone is going to rise up out of it and we don't
131. 23:23know who it's going to be and I just I think about Billy ish because she rose up out of you know this sea
132. 23:30of kind of Pop sameness with this really unique voice and I think I don't think any of that changes with AI I I still think human beings
133. 23:42expressing themselves with a very particular point of view remains critical and remains increasingly
134. 23:51valuable so anyway all right so so let's watch so this is the rough cut of Sher D's Runway ml project which she's got 12 hours left so
135. 24:04we're not going to give you notes Sher we're just going to watch it um she's got 12 hours left so so whatever she
136. 24:09thinks is isn't isn't here for this um she's gonna she's going to do up and then she's going to submit it so here's

167. 31:32good tactical Choice as well as creative Choice um also when you have messages with typos how do you delete or edit
168. 31:44them Laura made in Leonard oh okay oh a Laura made in Leonardo okay so she used a specific model in in Leonardo so
169. 31:53Leonardo is based on top of stable diffusion the but wait where did you make oh you made the video in Runway so she okay so she used mid
170. 32:06Journey for some images Leonardo for others so that's stable diffusion so it's a mix of stable diffusion and um
171. 32:14Mid journey to make the initial images and then Runway to do the video and then her band for the for the music which is
172. 32:21really good that's a really good song really really good song congratulations that's that's that's super cool so okay

189. 35:43little and we'll Zoom we'll zoom in a little okay so so we can do that and then they've also got this thing called motion brush which I
190. 35:56don't I don't know if you've seen that but we can brush in like all these clouds and it will
191. 36:10oops can I undo that yes and it will just make the clouds
192. 36:25move I I have that Su stuck Su stuck in my head now so we'll have those things
193. 36:41move to the right and then what's cool about Runway now what they've done is you you can have up to five brushes so I
194. 36:51can brush in the clouds as one set of movement and then I can pick brush too and I can put the jet as another set of
195. 37:10movement and I don't know I haven't played a ton with this so this might not be good because I don't know what I'm
196. 37:18doing which again like I said that according to my earlier Declaration of we should stop [ __ ] apolog oling for
197. 37:27the fact that we're not expert at stuff I'm going to go on ahead and not apologize for that even though I just
198. 37:32did um so we're going to try this here and then we're all going to learn together and there's nothing to [ __ ] apologize for right right

205. 38:57CBS there's another one called forget what it's called Pika and Runway are the biggies right now but you can also do video now on
206. 39:09um Leonardo now does video um Deco here now does video um I think Korea might do
207. 39:25video yeah really really great job Sher D that's that's super cool that's super cool so we're at we're
208. 39:39at 68% now here's so so the video that we just watched that Sherry put together with all the all those cool you know
209. 39:47scenes and cuts and men and bears and all that sort of stuff um Runway only makes 4 second videos is it frozen for anyone

214. 40:51delete it clear and I'm going to go to brush two okay so we cleared everything okay so I'm going to clear the motion
215. 41:02brushes and then I'm just going to have the whatever camera I had in there whatever camera movements I had in there
216. 41:08and now I'm going to generate it again so so we'll generate this again and this is this is really what you have to do
217. 41:13with this stuff so just like you experiment with um just like you experiment with um you know image generation over and
218. 41:25over and over again until you start to you know start to figure out some of the tricks of it it it's kind of
219. 41:32Amplified you know times 100 with video because it can just distort things into unusable video [Music] um all right and let's see what's it
220. 41:48doing there okay so that's doing its thing um the other thing that I want to we we'll do it we'll do a couple of
221. 41:56things tonight we can go look at um we can go look at some chat GPT stuff I want to talk about the Vision Pro um cuz that's now out and then
222. 42:07there's some some potential news coming this week from Google that I want to talk about so yeah some good big stuff

224. 42:27it's a little better it's still at the words on the side of the plane clearly coming in for a landing it almost maintains its
225. 42:44shape actually so so here's here's what what is is sometimes interesting so let's take this let's go to a different site we'll
226. 42:53go to a site called pika p. art and we're going to upload that same
227. 43:12image and then we'll go to our camera controls we'll do rotate if we rotate left it'll make the plane go down so let's rotate right
228. 43:26so we're going to rotate right we're going to zoom out we'll do two strength of motion and we're going to pan right and then pan
229. 43:37panning right so it'll it'll make the nose of the plane go up make it look like it's moving left as we pan out I think
230. 43:51it's we're in a weird place right now where you have to kind of Imagine in your mind what what you're doing with
231. 43:57your camera moves and then just hope you got it right um okay so that's going to go make our thing here's a here was a video that
232. 44:05we did last night which came out pretty good of a bench although this this Shadow seems to be moving across the pavement in a weird
233. 44:17way but it but it it left the pattern on the bench intact which Runway did not so it'll be interesting to see what P does with this

237. 44:59think we're we are all processing through does it have to take a lot of time to be valuable and I'm increasingly
238. 45:11increasingly coming to the conclusion that [ __ ] no of course not if I can do brilliant work in two minutes great why
239. 45:24not we've we've put up with this technology for oh that's [ __ ] beautiful so it's still kind of eats the
240. 45:35letters at the very end of it and the the Tails do a little weird movement but the coherence there is actually
241. 45:43pretty good and it's it's sort of rotating around and adding some City in the foreground here and this is this is kind of what we
242. 45:54did last night as well we we went to to a bunch of uh images and uh image generation tools and played with them so
243. 46:00so anyway that's kind of cool all right so this one is p. art the other one is Runway ml.com those are two of the big
244. 46:08uh image generation tools now how do you how do you find all these tools Kyle well I'll tell you let me see that's some actual work

551. 1:41:31look at it hang on let me go look at this Google AGI stages is that what it's called levels of
552. 1:41:49AGI level one emerging equal to or somewhat better than an unskilled human that's where we are right now level two
553. 1:42:04competent at least 50th percentile of skilled adults meaning the AI is better than half of the people skilled adults skilled
554. 1:42:17adults level three expert at least 90th per of skilled adults I think by the end of 2024 we're at least at level two and we might be
555. 1:42:28pushing level three or at least have glimpses of what level three looks like now to get to that so if you want to get to the 90th
556. 1:42:39percentile of skilled adults then AI needs to be able to reason and it needs to be able to take actions so do you know if the rabbit R1
557. 1:42:51will interface with chat GPT using the button I don't know they just cut a deal with perplexity so my guess is
558. 1:42:58not but it also looks like they're giving you an interface where you can set up your own actions on your own
559. 1:43:04websites so in theory you could set up an action for chat GPT So in theory you should be able to do that um so I think by the end of 2024
560. 1:43:21I think we'll see whatever is the next thing from from open Ai and as Sam Alman put it I wrote it down because it's it's it's very
561. 1:43:33particular language gp4 is best understood as a preview so what we're playing with now is best understood as here's the
562. 1:43:44training wheels kids okay you go play you go make your gpts here's the GPT store it's not really a store it doesn't
563. 1:43:53[ __ ] matter GP gp4 is best understood as a preview and then he followed that up with the sentence progress here is not
564. 1:44:04linear GPT 5 isn't going to be like two or three times better than gp4 it's going to be a completely different thing it looks like
565. 1:44:17Google maybe as soon as Wednesday is going to be launching something that's at least as good as gp4 that is multimodal from the get-go
566. 1:44:32um and so so so we're going to have gp4 which is already multimodal we're going to have um what's it called Gemini Advanced

568. 1:44:53not think that Sam Alman and the open AI crew are going to want Google to if if Google takes the lead I don't think open AI is going to
569. 1:45:03want them to have the lead for long so it might accelerate them putting GPT 5 out there so I think what we're going to see is we're going to
570. 1:45:16see these systems go from being kind of d where they make a lot of mistakes and they don't know what they're
571. 1:45:24saying to reasoning where it'll give you an answer and they will actually read their own answer and not actually show
572. 1:45:32it to you until they've got it right so I think the hallucination thing will disappear or dramatically
573. 1:45:41lower I think that um we'll start to see agents so think think like a GPT but it takes action on your behalf and
574. 1:45:53maybe it's generated dynamically so so like a good example of an agent might be I want to go on a vacation okay well if if you were going

699. 2:05:42at least understand what all the capabilities are and be able to do parlor tricks with them um you should probably be good with
700. 2:05:52conversational AI like Pi or chat GPT voice with their app you should probably be good with at least two or three image
701. 2:06:02generation tools you should probably understand the difference between Runway ML and Pika and he Jen and did who are
702. 2:06:11they're different kinds of tools that do different things you should probably understand 11 labs and voice synthesis
703. 2:06:19and then you should probably understand tools likeo and refusion that make songs and then you should probably get
704. 2:06:26your head a little bit around um 3D worlds and objects and then just follow smart people I've got four smart people
705. 2:06:34here there's a ton more but those are four to start with so yeah and whether or not you pay for any of these that's a
706. 2:06:42very personal choice if you want to run down one of these rabbit holes particularly when you get into
707. 2:06:47multimedia like video and audio it takes it takes quite a bit of uh they're they're they're not as cheap
