Description

Thursday is the "They want to hear from you" night... Kyle Shannon reveals a significant personal insight that has hampered his professional outreach: a deep-seated belief that "they don't want to hear from me." This revelation comes just before his crucial trip to Washington D.C. with Daisy Thomas, where they will meet with Congressional and Senate staff to shape AI policy. To ensure they bring real-world context to the Capitol, Kyle issues an urgent request to the AI Salon community to share detailed stories of how AI has transformed their lives. To overcome his long-standing mental block, Kyle receives practical instruction from Andy on how to schedule social media posts—a simple task he previously avoided. The session quickly pivots into a practical demonstration of using ChatGPT to draft effective, multi-platform content and Midjourney to generate compelling visuals for the D.C. fly-in. Kyle emphasizes that the community's support is essential for bringing a human-centric, positive perspective on AI readiness to the legislative conversation. 🎙️ New to streaming or looking to level up? 0:00 Hey Kyle, Kyle, did you hit the button?
0:04 Did you hit the button?
0:07 Yeah.
0:08 I'm live now, Vicki.
0:12 (Laughter) Oh, Lordy.
0:18 (Guitar Strumming) Is Brandon asleep?
0:20 No, Brandon's dealing with Andy.
0:21 Andy's backstage.
0:22 I see Andy backstage.
0:23 She's hiding.
0:24 We're gonna get her up here.
0:26 She's gonna teach me remedial mighty networks.
0:32 (Laughter) (Guitar Strumming)
1:21 (Guitar Strumming)
1:26 There's been something, baby, that I've been trying to say.
1:32 For an age and it seems I don't know how.
1:38 The past and the future now, surrounding me.
1:44 Surrender to it, and the cheap thrill can be found.
1:49 There's been a little trouble since it came to my rescue.
1:59 And if you'd like all of the rest, I
2:01 would've let you long ago, but I couldn't do that.
2:09 Oh, tell me now, women and women never went too well.
2:16 Make a man crazy, make him cold as hell.
2:22 I don't want my naps, you wish me well.
2:26 But in spite of your trying, still
2:29 gonna have to find my own way through.
2:36 (Guitar Strumming)
2:42 So tonight, as part of the AI Learning Lab Practice Lab,
2:48 the AI Practice Lab, that's what I'm gonna call it tonight.
2:57 I had a relatively large revelation today, and you might be
3:01 saying, "But Kyle, you seem to be
3:02 having one of those every day lately."
3:05 I think that's how it goes when you start shedding your
3:10 legacy way of being, as Townsend Wardlaw would say.
3:15 I would probably make an Andy smile right now.
3:20 (Guitar Strumming)
3:30 So next Tuesday, I leave for Washington, D.C.
3:34 And the AI Salon is hosting, I don't know, 13 or 19
3:40 startups, I forget how many, flying to Washington, D.C.
3:45 I'm going there with Daisy Thomas.
3:49 We're doing roundtables at the Capitol.
3:51 We're doing sessions in the
3:54 Congressional offices and the Senate offices.
3:56 Yeah, I know she is.
4:01 I won't keep you back there too long, Andy, I promise.
4:06 (Laughter)
4:11 This is the third time that we've done this.
4:15 And...
4:20 Wow, will you be on C-SPAN?
4:21 I don't think so.
4:22 These are more like staffer meetings.
4:24 These are like meetings in the
4:25 Congressional offices rather than on the floor.
4:28 And same in the White House,
4:29 it'll be with White House staff.
4:36 But one of the things that's been consistent for the past
4:39 two times I've done this is that I don't talk about it.
4:50 I'll do like a post to the AI Salon
4:53 community, maybe a post to LinkedIn once.
4:57 And then I go and maybe I'll take a
4:59 picture or two and then I don't post them.
5:01 I don't do anything with them.
5:04 And I was talking to Andy today
5:08 about, I don't know, whatever the fuck.
5:12 Oh, just selling a product that we're coming up with.
5:19 And I was talking about the product and what it basically
5:24 came down to, like, who are you going to reach out to?
5:28 And the minute she said that, like, I froze.
5:33 And like, it hit me like a ton of
5:37 bricks that for, I think, all of my life,
5:43 that despite dramatic evidence to the contrary,
5:49 like dramatic evidence to the contrary, in my head is this
5:55 little voice that says, they don't want to hear from you.
5:59 And so every fucking email, like if it's an outreach email,
6:03 if it's a sales email, if it's a, hey,
6:05 look, I'm doing this cool thing in DC,
6:09 this little fucking voice of they don't want to hear from
6:12 you is there and it's ever present.
6:17 And so we went back and forth
6:18 today and it was really powerful.
6:19 And it's like, no, they do want to hear from me.
6:21 They do want to hear from me.
6:23 They've been waiting so fucking long to hear from me.
6:26 I've got all this evidence.
6:28 They want to hear from me.
6:29 All of them, everyone. Who's they?
6:33 So anyway, that was super cool.
6:37 So anyway, Andy, you want to come up now?
6:41 Now that I've, now that I've bared my, bared my soul.
6:45 Oh, wow.
6:46 That was cool.
6:49 Hi.
6:51 Hi.
6:52 That's what it was, right?
6:53 We got the Royal Blue Memo tonight.
6:56 It's nice. Oh yeah.
6:57 Mine's SpaceX.
6:59 I'm all Elon Musk.
7:00 This is, this is Bubba Gump Shrimp Company.
7:03 Oh, that's solid.
7:07 Well, you're ostensibly up here to help me, help me learn
7:14 how to schedule posts because scheduling posts, like it's
7:17 something I've never learned to do.
7:18 Why?
7:19 Because that would require, that would, that would, that
7:22 would have me accept that people wanted
7:26 to hear from me more than once in a row.
7:28 Like it's, it's, it's this
7:30 insidious fucking thing, you know?
7:32 Mm-hmm.
7:34 So anyway, so what are you going to do?
7:38 I was thinking that you were going to write the posts that, You want to teach me how to do it?
7:41 you know, letting people know in the community about what
7:43 you're doing, what's happening on those days.
7:46 Today I'm going to X.
7:48 Today I'm going to be talking to X.
7:50 Do you have your agenda?
7:52 Yeah, I've got it somewhere.
7:54 I have it.
7:55 I pulled the press release up.
7:56 Yeah, well you forwarded it to
7:57 me so it's on top of my inbox.
7:59 Okay.
8:01 Hold on.
8:04 And then, so what I was going to do today, I was going to
8:06 go to, to GenSpark Designer, make some cool graphics or
8:09 Mid-Journey, make some cool
8:10 graphics, write the posts, do the posts.
8:14 The other thing I wanted to do, Andy, is, and this doesn't
8:16 require scheduling, but I know it's late there so I don't,
8:19 I want to, I want to get to the
8:20 scheduling thing just a minute.
8:21 I'm a little old.
8:22 Okay.
8:24 Um, um, the, the other thing I want
8:28 to do tonight, how many people here?
8:29 We've got 15 people here.
8:30 We have, we have a handful of people here.
8:32 So what I'd like to do is I'd like to go to the AI salon
8:36 and I want to ask for you all to share a story about how
8:42 AI's impacted your life so that I have a
8:45 pile of stories to draw from when I'm in DC.
8:49 So in fact, let's go do that now.
8:52 Um, and then while we're in there, let me share my screen.
8:55 I'm sharing. Okay.
8:56 Okay.
8:57 So do you want the run of show?
9:02 Not for this.
9:04 Okay. Not for this.
9:05 Let me know what you need and when.
9:06 Where do I, where do I want to put this community feed?
9:10 You could put things in announcements. Probably.
9:12 If they're announcements, you can put it in.
9:15 So basically when you're looking at the community, some of
9:18 these spaces have all the, everybody's
9:20 going to get to know how the community works.
9:22 Some of them have auto joined all the members.
9:24 So if you're going to write something in the community feed
9:27 or an announcements, everybody
9:28 in the community will see it.
9:29 If you notify the community.
9:31 So yesterday I noticed you didn't notify the community.
9:34 Notify them.
9:35 Okay.
9:36 Let them know.
9:37 Yeah.
9:38 That's so notify them.
9:39 That means they would want to hear from me, right?
9:42 They're waiting.
9:44 They're waiting.
9:45 They've been waiting so long.
9:47 So long.
9:48 And you know, it's funny.
9:50 Like when, when I stumbled on that,
9:53 when you and I were talking, it's like.
9:55 Fuck.
9:58 They've been waiting so long.
10:00 They've been waiting so many people.
10:02 So long.
10:03 Anyway.
10:04 Okay.
10:07 Hey.
10:09 Hey, I slanders.
10:15 As you may know, and yes, I know
10:19 this is boring to watch me type.
10:21 As you may know, I.
10:27 Can I put to Andy's Mac book air.
10:30 Can you guys hear me?
10:31 Can you hear my audio?
10:32 Okay.
10:33 Yes.
10:34 It got crunchy there for a minute.
10:36 This, I feel like this is.
10:39 You might be on a mic. You can try. You know, Daisy Thomas. Wait, wait, wait. I.
10:55 Hosting a washing ton.
11:01 DC fly in.
11:07 So.
11:08 I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. If you're watching this. If you're watching this.
11:11 And I assume most of you are members of the AIS salon.
11:14 I want you to go to the AIS salon and I want you to go into
11:17 community feed right now and you're
11:18 just going to wait for me to write this.
11:20 And then when I write this, my request, my deep request for
11:24 you, I don't ask much of you on this channel.
11:27 Is I want you to share a story and I want you to share a
11:30 story of impact of how AI has
11:33 changed your changed your life in some way.
11:35 It doesn't have to be profound.
11:37 Simple stories are sometimes
11:38 the ones that are most effective.
11:40 But I want you to share it with two things in mind.
11:42 One is I want you to share a story
11:44 that Daisy and I can use in Washington.
11:47 But the other one is I want you to share it in a way that's
11:49 like a model for other people in the community.
11:53 For how they might share because one of the things that
11:57 we're working on in mastermind is intentionally sharing and
12:02 commenting on one another's work.
12:04 And what I realized this week is it's fucking scary.
12:07 And so I think a lot of people are scared to contribute.
12:10 So that's my request.
12:11 Go into community feed right now and I will
12:13 finish this up shortly, relatively shortly.
12:17 However slow an old man can type.
12:20 All right.
12:52 And even a day with White House staff.
12:58 I'm going to be at the White House this
12:59 time with White House staff educating them.
13:44 A.I. I
13:46 don't know has.
13:48 I'm going to say changed your life.
13:52 I don't just want this to be like I did this cool thing
13:54 once and got a picture of a
13:57 turtle and stuck it on a T-shirt.
14:00 Now I want I want you to dig deep.
14:04 OK.
14:05 It's 14 people in here, 15 people in here.
14:09 All right.
14:10 If you share your story, know that I may.
14:26 Let's see that Daisy or I may share some or all of it.
14:41 So if you just want.
14:49 I think this is too long.
14:51 OK.
14:54 I would cut out that whole last sentence.
14:56 Now we're getting into.
14:58 Great.
15:00 Notify.
15:01 All right.
15:02 It's in there.
15:04 Go in there right now, please.
15:07 Where's our familiar chime?
15:08 Please.
15:09 Exactly.
15:10 Ping, I beg of you.
15:11 You could have scheduled that for five minutes from now and
15:14 killed two birds with one stone.
15:16 Oh, well, that's OK.
15:19 I didn't hear a friend.
15:21 He said he said, you know, you could have scheduled that
15:23 five minutes from now and killed two birds with one stone.
15:26 Well, Brandon knows how to schedule posts.
15:28 He didn't need me for it.
15:30 That's right.
15:31 I just want to talk to you.
15:33 We've never done this.
15:35 All the time. No.
15:36 We've never done it here.
15:37 OK. No.
15:38 Where where where do I go?
15:40 So let's see.
15:42 So any post can be scheduled.
15:44 So whatever you want to write, whenever
15:46 you want to write it, you can schedule it.
15:48 So so we can do what we did yesterday, which remember
15:51 yesterday you were like, hey, you still here.
15:53 How do I create an article?
15:55 That's where that has to go with a
15:56 little create in the upper right.
15:58 But if you don't if you just want to write a post
16:00 somewhere, you can write it anywhere
16:02 and then next to so see how it says post.
16:05 There's a little down arrow next to post.
16:08 Once you write something, you have
16:09 the option to schedule that post.
16:11 I am.
16:12 Can I edit it after I schedule it?
16:15 Going to Washington.
16:23 OK.
16:26 Schedule post.
16:30 OK, so I'll do this for tomorrow.
16:35 I'll do it bright and early in the morning.
16:39 Right nearly eight thirty eight p.m.
16:42 I'll do it.
16:43 We'll do it at eight thirty p.m.
16:45 That's great.
16:46 Some people.
16:47 Yeah, exactly.
16:49 I'll do it. All right.
16:50 I'll do it.
16:51 Eight thirty eastern.
16:54 Schedule post. All right.
16:55 Oh, and then notify.
16:58 OK.
16:59 Oh, and then view your schedule post.
17:01 So where do I go to your little face up at the OK.
17:04 Well, there you go.
17:05 You can do that, too.
17:06 So under there, there's also scheduled posts.
17:08 OK, cool.
17:09 So anything that's scheduled and actually anything that's scheduled.
17:11 In the whole community should
17:13 pop up there if you're a host.
17:15 So we'll see everything.
17:17 OK, cool.
17:18 That's awesome. All right.
17:21 Yeah, very easy.
17:22 OK.
17:23 This is a big letdown.
17:24 You know, what else?
17:27 Nothing.
17:32 For entertainment, everybody.
17:34 Yeah, really.
17:36 Yeah, that was that was a big, big letdown.
17:40 Well, that's a lot.
17:43 Well, that's the irony of how how pervasive this this issue
17:51 is in my life is that the the.
17:56 When I do it, it's fine.
17:58 Like when I actually just reach out to someone, it's like
18:01 I'm fine at reaching out to people.
18:03 I'm fine at connecting with people.
18:04 Yeah, but I think that this is what you're touching on is
18:06 an important thing in that, you know, something that you
18:08 mentioned that maybe the people.
18:09 I don't maybe.
18:14 Maybe just any person might not be aware of.
18:17 I don't just mean like audience, but
18:18 I mean, are you checking your email?
18:21 I was going to see if you sent me the email with the email.
18:25 You told me not to.
18:27 No, it's that you know, you're aware to that if you're if
18:32 you're being if you have a story that this
18:34 isn't for you, you're not going to do it.
18:36 Yeah, yeah, yeah.
18:38 Yeah, exactly.
18:39 And it's and it's always every single time it's like this.
18:43 It's this internal fucking battle.
18:46 And like it sometimes goes on for
18:47 days, weeks to send a stupid email.
18:52 Anyway, do you need an email?
18:54 Do you need an email with your agenda for this?
18:58 I can go find one.
18:59 It would be easier if you sent me one.
19:01 I am sending it. Will you send me one?
19:02 Do which email do you want it to story?
19:05 OK.
19:09 OK.
19:10 All right.
19:11 So I have one other thing I need to talk about.
19:14 With me or without me?
19:16 Without you. Well, I can do it with you, but it's not about you.
19:22 OK.
19:24 OK, cool.
19:27 I don't know any other thoughts.
19:30 Do I have thoughts?
19:31 My thoughts are that that
19:32 scheduled post that you have there.
19:34 I hope that by the end of this live,
19:36 that's a little little more beefier.
19:40 Maybe with some nice images or.
19:44 Yeah, no, I don't know.
19:47 I am going to learn how to do it.
19:54 Now I know how to do it.
19:55 I will come back.
19:56 I will not let that there.
19:57 This.
19:58 OK, I'm going to make Brandon has to
19:59 make sure that you want this loop closed.
20:03 Brandon is going to make sure the loop
20:05 is closed before before the end of it.
20:08 OK.
20:10 Kyle, I appreciate being on stage with you.
20:14 I appreciate you coming up here and teaching me something I
20:17 could have learned on my own.
20:18 And it's you know, it's been three years and I haven't.
20:24 So apparently I needed the boost.
20:26 Well, I don't know if it's necessary.
20:28 I think the bigger thing is just to like there's a lot of
20:30 events going on in Washington, D.C.
20:32 You're a BFD.
20:35 You're a BFD.
20:36 And I'm just going to say it again.
20:37 You're a BFD.
20:38 So I hope everybody knows you're a BFD.
20:41 And they want to hear from me.
20:44 And they want to hear from you.
20:45 They've been waiting so long.
20:48 They have. So long.
20:49 They've been waiting so long.
20:52 I don't get much evidence to the contrary.
20:56 I bet that's not true.
20:57 Archetypal architect.
20:59 All right, Andy, thank you so much.
21:01 I appreciate it.
21:02 I appreciate you.
21:03 I appreciate you too.
21:04 Have a good night. I will see you.
21:05 Bye.
21:06 Bye.
21:08 OK, before I get to updating this post
21:10 to make it less shitty, which I will.
21:15 Brandon, can you come up on stage?
21:20 Let's not do.
21:21 Let's do that one.
21:24 So I just I just want to acknowledge you. Yo, dude.
21:27 So first of all, we'll do we'll do
21:32 some some cheap advertising for your book.
21:35 This is Brandon's book.
21:37 OK, the 10,000 minute mindset.
21:41 Yeah, all right.
21:42 Go buy that.
21:43 OK, so Brandon sent me a book.
21:46 But not only did Brandon send me a book,
21:47 he sent me a beautiful, beautiful letter.
21:51 And he also sent me something that's on my shelf.
21:54 And up there, you see it?
21:57 You see it.
22:01 That.
22:06 This.
22:09 If you look really close, right on the E, it's on the E.
22:14 Yeah, it's right on the E.
22:17 This is the premiere issue of Wired magazine.
22:21 Now, why is this a big deal?
22:24 One, because it's pretty rare.
22:26 But two, I mentioned I probably more
22:30 than a year ago is my guess, Brandon, right?
22:32 This is a while ago, like a while ago.
22:35 I talked about having like all of the first three years of
22:38 Wired magazine except the premiere issue.
22:40 And I never got it.
22:41 And it always bummed me out that I never got it.
22:44 And Brandon has been like hanging out on eBay, like, you
22:48 know, buying doilies and things like that and looking for
22:52 the premiere issue of Wired magazine that wasn't, you know,
22:55 a mint condition, five thousand dollar version.
22:59 And he got one and he sent it to me.
23:02 So I just thank you.
23:05 Like it.
23:07 It means so much that.
23:12 I mean, the note that you wrote was
23:13 just very generous and very nice, too.
23:16 But there is something about this community, you know, you
23:20 were regulars where you really take me in.
23:23 And I think you take me in in a
23:24 way that it surprises me every time.
23:28 And this one this one caught me off guard.
23:30 So it's awesome.
23:31 And it, you know, it goes proudly on the shelf.
23:34 So so thank you so much.
23:38 You're welcome.
23:39 And, you know, it was it was I was very excited when it was
23:42 actually I don't know what Stephen knows or the guy in
23:44 Australia that actually got that over to me.
23:46 So that's a good for the win.
23:49 So it came from Australia.
23:51 That's great.
23:52 So cool.
23:53 Anyway, in the ads in that I don't know if you had a chance
23:56 to look into it, but, you know, seeing some of the
23:58 technology that was around in the
24:01 90s was something quite incredible.
24:05 And the ad standards, be careful which page you turn to.
24:08 I'll say that because the standards
24:09 are not always tick tock friendly.
24:16 Yeah, I mean, this was a time I remember.
24:19 I mean, I remember this issue on
24:21 the side of New York City buses.
24:23 Like I remember I remember buses going down 23rd Street.
24:26 I was working at an agency on 23rd Street.
24:30 And oh, well, the silicon graphics Indigo.
24:36 That's an old beast.
24:39 You can do graphics on a second or third page in there is a
24:43 picture of somebody sitting with the Apple.
24:46 Yeah, that's that's the one that I
24:48 saw with a little rollerball trackpad.
24:57 That's so cool.
24:59 Anyway, so yeah, I'm going to
25:00 definitely go read that digital sex Negroponte.
25:04 What's wrong with HD TV?
25:07 That's hilarious.
25:08 Anyway, super cool.
25:10 Thank you.
25:11 Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
25:12 You're welcome.
25:15 All right, cool.
25:16 Groovy.
25:17 Okay, now I got to go fix this ad.
25:18 So what we're going to do is Andy sent me the run of show.
25:24 Your run of show.
25:28 Okay, you got a tick tock thing, by the way.
25:30 I have a what?
25:31 Oh,
25:34 I'm broke and I want to build my
25:35 own A.I. to do stuff on my CPU.
25:38 Where do I start?
25:43 It do you have a GPU?
25:45 Do you have like a 50 70 GPU, like a gaming computer?
25:51 Like I just got a gaming PC.
25:56 So so the short answer is there's good news for you.
25:59 The open source community is there
26:02 are tens of thousands of options.
26:06 The downside of it is you have to be pretty geeky.
26:08 So if you're geeky, you should be good.
26:12 But we'll figure that out.
26:20 Yeah, it really depends on what you're starting with.
26:23 Okay.
26:30 Well, you have Pinocchio.
26:31 Pinocchio will install stuff.
26:33 There's what did I hang on.
26:41 Okay.
26:59 So if you download LLM Studio, if you download LLM Studio,
27:03 this was recommended by Brent Peterson.
27:08 I've got an HP Victus 151 or 161.
27:14 I'm not a PC guy. I don't know what that means.
27:17 But if you go get LLM Studio, if you
27:20 just want something that's like chat.
27:23 First of all, is there any reason
27:25 you're not just using free chat GPT?
27:28 Because free chat GPT is better
27:31 than like way better than anyone knows.
27:35 So if you haven't dug deep on
27:37 free chat GPT, you should go do that.
27:40 I think they give you some amount of images you can make.
27:42 But you can you can do pretty much all the stuff.
27:46 The thinking might not be as deep.
27:48 But if you're going to compare that to
27:50 open source models, it's really, really good.
27:54 I need to be able to integrate it with various things.
27:56 If you need to integrate it and you need to do open source Okay.
27:59 stuff, like hang out on hugging face.
28:06 That's where a lot of the models are.
28:08 You can test a lot of them there.
28:11 Pinocchio is a thing that sets up Python environments on
28:15 your computer for you automatically.
28:17 So you don't have to manually
28:18 set up all these environments.
28:20 People, nice people, like the people on this call, go out
28:24 and they set up scripts for you that just
28:27 install all the shit to make something work.
28:30 So Pinocchio is a good one.
28:33 LLM Studio is a good one.
28:35 And then just go hang out on hugging
28:36 face and just start to figure it out.
28:38 What you'll have to do is figure out the capacity of your
28:43 computer, how much VRAM you have, you know, the sort of
28:47 scale of your GPUs and things like that.
28:49 And then you'll have to get appropriately sized models and
28:52 you probably need a pretty decent hard drive.
28:57 But what I can tell you is that, you know, the open source
29:02 community is making these models
29:04 more and more and more efficient.
29:06 The other thing you should do is you should join the AI
29:09 Salon and there's an ask for help section in there and go
29:12 in there and ask for help because there are people in the
29:14 AI Salon that are much better at this than I am.
29:17 Because I don't really do the open source thing.
29:18 I'm just starting to do it.
29:20 And I don't have the patience for it to do it really well.
29:25 Okay.
29:26 All right.
29:27 Fantastic.
29:29 This is awesome. Fantastic.
29:31 Really awesome.
29:33 Really fantastic.
29:36 Okay, I'm going to go now to chat Jai Pai Tai and say, hey,
29:48 here is the run of show for a DC fly in with
30:31 congressional and Senate office meetings and a series of
30:46 meetings with White House staff.
30:55 And then there's my itinerary and
30:57 then I'm going to say, okay, black bar.
31:02 Yes, sir. Yes, sir.
31:04 I feel like I can't make fun of Brandon
31:06 tonight because he did such a nice thing.
31:08 I'll get over it.
31:10 It's okay.
31:11 I'll get over it.
31:13 I'll be harassing him soon enough.
31:16 What did I miss Brandon? Okay.
31:17 You must be doing amazing things.
31:19 He sent me the premiere issue of Wired magazine.
31:21 That's what he did.
31:24 He's amazing.
31:25 And a really beautiful, thoughtful note.
31:29 Okay.
31:30 Let's see.
31:32 What did he do?
31:34 Okay.
31:38 I want you to write me a series of posts starting tomorrow
31:49 Friday January 15th or 16th through next Wednesday.
32:09 The ones this weekend should be.
32:14 Oh, it's windy out.
32:15 I love it when it gets windy out.
32:18 Oh, that's chilly.
32:23 It's chilly, Willie.
32:25 Whoo.
32:26 But I love hearing the wind.
32:28 Anyone else like a huge fan of storms?
32:31 I think storms are amazing.
32:34 I love storms.
32:35 Thunderstorms.
33:07 I write to make them sound like me.
33:13 And if you're curious if that shit works, it does because
33:16 chat GPT has memory and it
33:19 remembers a lot of things you've written.
33:22 Whether or not it's actually gets it good or not seems to
33:25 be relatively random, but it does seem to help.
33:30 Okay.
33:32 Write how I write to make them sound like me.
33:40 And use what you know of the AI salon.
33:47 AI readiness cycle.
33:53 Curiosity meets community.
33:57 Which, by the way, that's a beautiful.
34:00 In Brandon's book, at the beginning of 10,000 minute
34:03 mindset, Brandon acknowledges the AI salon and me, he says,
34:08 and to the AI salon and Kyle Shannon, who proved that
34:11 10,000 minutes spent learning together can change the way
34:13 we see ourselves, our work, and our world.
34:16 Thank you for showing what's
34:17 possible when curiosity meets community.
34:22 Isn't that beautiful?
34:26 Chat GPT wrote that so nice for you, Brandon.
34:30 See, I mean, I get back to it.
34:32 I knew I'd get back to making fun of him.
34:35 You're not wrong.
34:38 It did good.
34:42 Dear chat GPT, could you blow some sunshine up Kyle's ash?
34:51 Oh man, I look forward to the rain.
34:53 The sound is soothing.
34:54 I do too.
34:57 Okay, I want you to write me a series of posts.
35:00 Hold on this weekend.
35:03 Okay.
35:05 Etc.
35:08 Let's see.
35:10 Master mind.
35:12 Master, master mind.
35:15 Practice, etc.
35:19 Practice, etc.
35:26 Oh, good.
35:31 Oh, you know what's cool? I see.
35:33 I'm getting I'm getting dings.
35:35 Oh, just posted responding to my request for you guys to go Steve.
35:40 share your stories in community feed.
35:43 So I get dinged here.
35:45 So I'll start calling you out as I see them pop up and you
35:48 have if you haven't written how AI has changed your life.
35:50 Go do it. Okay.
36:02 Ruh-roh.
36:05 Okay, everything is, etc.
36:08 Okay, let's see.
36:11 The posts.
36:16 Should tee up the specific posts. The next week. Next week.
36:18 Should tee up the specific
36:25 events and things that Kyle Shannon and Daisy
36:35 Thomas will be attending.
36:43 Each post should be stand alone
36:50 and appropriate for
36:55 the community
37:02 LinkedIn and even a long post on X.
37:13 All right. Let's see if we get anything that is not horrible.
37:19 About.
37:20 I love the sound of snow.
37:32 It's the quietest sound.
37:35 So calming Silver Fox.
37:37 Do you remember I've said this
37:39 story a couple of times on here.
37:41 So I'm sure you've heard it.
37:43 But one of the most magical moments anyone in New York will
37:48 appreciate this and you'll appreciate this.
37:49 One of my most magical moments in my life.
37:54 Was.
37:56 It was 19.
37:57 1995.
38:04 Yeah, 1995 probably end of January early February.
38:09 And New York City got dumped like three feet of snow like
38:12 it was it was a big New York City, you
38:15 know, unprecedented kind of kind of storm.
38:18 And we were in the middle of doing agency.com.
38:22 So we had like like we were like we could not not work.
38:27 We had to go to the office.
38:28 So we subwayed up there and we went to our offices were in
38:32 the timing building on Avenue of the Americas.
38:35 It was it was all highfalutin.
38:36 It was cool.
38:38 And I remember we were like, let's go take a break and
38:41 let's go to Times Square and see what Times Square is like.
38:44 And so we walked over from the timing building across what
38:48 was that on that was like 53rd and
38:50 then we and then we sort of walked up.
38:53 Whatever the whatever the avenue was into Times Square.
38:57 And we walked into Times Square
39:00 and there's no people and no cars.
39:06 And it's fucking silent because
39:09 the snow was absorbing all the sound.
39:14 So like there were no horns.
39:15 There was no chatter.
39:16 There was no nothing.
39:17 It was just silence.
39:20 And then like on the far end of Times Square, you saw like
39:22 someone in, you know, cross
39:24 country skis skiing up Broadway.
39:27 So cool.
39:31 And it's like it's one of those things where it's like you
39:34 couldn't replicate it, right?
39:36 It would it could only be that.
39:38 There were some apocalyptic thing where
39:40 there's just no traffic and no people.
39:43 But man, that was amazing.
39:45 And it was it was definitely one of those moments where it
39:47 was just like like the the
39:50 lack of auditory feedback in this.
39:53 You get this visual stimuli of Times
39:56 Square and then just nothing in your ears.
39:59 It was just surreal.
40:00 It was so cool.
40:03 OK, Friday, January 16th,
40:04 we're taking the A.I. salon to D.C.
40:07 Next week, more than a dozen A.I. startup founders are
40:11 flying into Washington, D.C. with the A.I. salon, not for a
40:14 photo op, not for A.I. is coming panic theater for real
40:17 conversations, roundtables,
40:20 congressional and Senate office meetings.
40:21 There's a set of meetings with
40:24 White House and commerce staff.
40:26 Here's the thing I keep coming back to the future of A.I.
40:28 policy can't be written only by the
40:30 largest companies with the loudest think tanks.
40:32 It has to include people actually building people shipping
40:35 the people seeing edge cases
40:36 unintended consequences in real time.
40:39 That's shitty. We'll fix that.
40:42 This is what we mean by curiosity meets community.
40:45 We're bringing founders who can talk about infrastructure,
40:47 accessibility, trust, safety, productivity, creativity and
40:51 what happens when a promising
40:53 tool meets messy human reality.
40:55 And we're bringing a positive.
40:59 And we're bringing a posture that's very A.I. salon.
41:01 Play first, create excellence, generously lead.
41:04 Cool.
41:05 What the fly in is really for.
41:07 Sounds fancy.
41:09 So we're going there to create certainty.
41:12 OK, so these are good.
41:14 So Sunday, if you're building,
41:17 you belong in the conversation.
41:19 If you keep thinking about how many conversations are
41:21 happening about builders without the builders in the room.
41:24 So here's what I'm excited about next week.
41:26 This is really good.
41:28 This is really good.
41:33 It's it's so.
41:43 I don't know if it was a spiritual
41:45 awakening today, but I kind of feel like.
41:50 I kind of feel like I've I've
41:52 had this weird, crippling handicap.
41:56 Because if you believe they don't want to hear from you,
42:01 you actually believe it, even
42:03 with evidence to the contrary.
42:07 Then you don't proactively write, have chat GPT, write you
42:12 shit like this because you
42:14 know you're not going to post it.
42:19 So it's like I'm looking at this
42:20 and like, yeah, that's that's cool.
42:21 Like we can make these work.
42:23 Right.
42:25 Fuck.
42:27 It's amazing.
42:31 Amazing.
42:32 This is why we do a daily practice, by the way.
42:37 Tuesday, January 20th, what Daisy and I are actually doing
42:40 in this well, doing in D.C., we'll put there.
42:44 If you've ever wondered what hosting fly ins looks like,
42:46 it's basically equal parts choreography, emotional
42:48 steadiness and making sure
42:50 nobody ends up in the wrong building.
42:52 Here's what Daisy, Daisy, Thomas and I
42:54 will be plugged into Capitol Hill briefing.
42:58 Welcome reception.
43:00 We don't need all the rooms and shit like that.
43:03 We'll fix that up.
43:04 They don't need no breakfast and meeting prep, although
43:07 maybe maybe I'll kick us off
43:10 with encouragement and context.
43:12 Kathy will cover the day's expectations.
43:14 Yeah, this is good.
43:15 A roundtable with Representative Obernolte and
43:18 Representative Peterson for Pettersson.
43:23 Daisy will give welcome remarks and participate.
43:25 John will moderate.
43:28 All right.
43:29 D.C. Fly in day.
43:36 Wait, January 21st, what about 22nd?
43:39 Isn't there something on the 22nd?
43:44 Yeah.
43:48 All right, asshole.
44:04 Wait, okay.
44:06 I'm confused.
44:10 The one that says Wednesday, the 21st.
44:20 Is that really for the 22nd?
44:25 Wait for what's happening on the 22nd?
44:34 No, your run of show has events on both days.
44:44 Okay, well, you never I don't I think I
44:50 told it to not write a post for Thursday.
44:52 Okay, you never wrote a post for Thursday.
44:58 Thursday, because that's what I told you to do.
45:07 Okay, that's what I told you to do.
45:11 Please write that post.
45:17 This is where it gets real. Great.
45:21 Meeting prep.
45:22 Congressional Meeting Offices Task Force
45:25 Roundtable White House and Commerce meetings.
45:42 I'll be hosting the White House group.
45:50 Okay, this is good.
45:53 Okay, two tracks, one mission.
45:55 Today's the heavy lifting.
45:58 We'll get rid of some of the
45:59 shitty writing, but this is good.
46:01 Okay, now let's have let's go grab.
46:08 Let's go to mid journey.
46:24 Are we playing with cod Claude co work yet.
46:27 I don't have access to it because I don't
46:28 have Claude max because that's $200 a month.
46:35 I don't know if they made it more widely available yet
46:37 though, it's possible that they did and I didn't know that.
46:41 So, here you have it.
46:44 Um, okay.
46:47 Create, let's go grab.
46:51 Oh, these are some of my cool
46:52 Sydney images doing sketch studies.
46:59 These are cool. Look at that.
47:34 Good Lord I made a lot of images.
47:36 Hang on I gotta go to organize because
47:40 it's at least got smaller thumbnails.
47:43 Jesus.
47:44 Okay, let's go get some a I salon imagery.
47:56 Steve wants me to kill the regulars brace for impact.
48:00 Oh boy.
48:14 Nice. Steve.
48:19 Nice.
48:22 Let's my butt crack out.
48:25 Damn it.
48:27 Make sure you make posts for LinkedIn as well.
48:30 Andy I can.
48:32 I can use these for LinkedIn as well right or do I should I
48:35 make them different should they
48:36 be a different tone for LinkedIn.
48:42 That's just wrong.
48:43 That's just wrong.
48:44 Not inaccurate.
48:58 You all just weird.
49:01 Okay, we're not weird we're irregular.
49:06 Okay.
49:08 Beautiful.
49:10 We all saw it Kyle.
49:11 Oh boy.
49:12 Well, there you have it.
49:19 If, if you're gonna go live for three years straight at
49:21 some point they're gonna see your ass crack.
49:23 It wasn't bad.
49:25 It's an all right ass, you
49:26 know, it wasn't as bad as the photo.
49:34 Did you see my tramp stamp.
49:42 The discerning I knows your boxers are black and white.
49:48 Oh boy.
49:49 It's true.
49:51 It's true.
49:52 And their boxer briefs.
49:53 I'll have you know, they, they are nice form fitting.
49:58 They're a nice form fitting garment.
50:03 All right, we're moving on now people.
50:05 Just everybody calm down.
50:11 Okay, I think I probably have some DC stuff here.
50:14 Yeah, I do.
50:15 Okay, so, actually I can probably just grab all these boom.
50:32 Hey, remember that night when Kyle was like trying to get
50:34 all sensitive and they stood up and
50:35 his ass crack was out that was funny.
50:40 Your assholes.
50:41 You're all assholes.
50:43 No, we saw your asshole.
50:47 Okay, put that in there.
50:48 So now I'm going to say, I want to tick tock question.
50:54 Someone's ass crack is out for less than five seconds.
50:56 Okay, is it worth it taking the time to rerecord my voice
51:00 clone and 11 labs to use their newest models.
51:05 I listen, here's the thing about
51:07 doing about doing voice clones.
51:14 They sort of capture a moment in time like if you, if you
51:17 got in there and you were just a little nasally, then your
51:20 voice is going to be nasally like that if you went in and,
51:23 you know, talk like some sort of.
51:27 Bob tell him what he's one,
51:28 then it's going to be like that.
51:30 So, like, I think it's always a good thing to like, if
51:36 you're going to do a voice clone.
51:39 Do like vocal shit like vocal warm ups like what actors do
51:45 all that stupid shit just go to YouTube and look up vocal
51:48 exercises and I'm going to do that for years and just just
51:57 loosen up your, your vocal cord just
51:59 get your voice in a good relaxed place.
52:03 And then practice the thing you're reading the thing that
52:06 you're going to use to make the model practice it and then
52:10 just record like basically anything that you mispronounce
52:14 or kind of fuck up in the
52:15 recording will become part of the model.
52:18 And so if you kind of tweak out a word like that may tweak
52:22 out other words, you know, when
52:24 it's trying to figure shit out for you.
52:28 I would re record it.
52:29 Yes.
52:31 Fox are brief so the way to go.
52:32 I can't come down after this.
52:39 I just do a bunch of podcast
52:48 intros and read different poetry.
52:54 I mean, you know what, what actually might be fun brother
52:57 52 is if you're doing podcast intros if that's a thing that
53:01 you do then you probably have a decent voice.
53:04 I would do like different versions I don't know if you
53:07 know, notice this but like in in 11 labs they'll have like
53:11 one voice model they have this in Cartesia too.
53:14 And they'll have like have like Steven, you know, calm
53:17 Steven angry Steven nervous Steven.
53:21 So you could go in and do a bunch of different effects and
53:25 just see which one plays back best or even have multiple
53:29 models might be a way to play with that.
53:33 I think that's a smart thing to do.
53:35 I think it's listen.
53:36 Listen, I think that having skills around digital twins,
53:43 multiple digital voices this year will probably get real
53:47 time avatars like right now you can do avatars but it's all
53:50 you sort of record shit and then do it after will probably
53:54 be able to do real time avatars this year.
53:57 Having some facility around all these different skills I
54:00 think is going to be quite valuable in the future.
54:02 So, you know, I say experiment with that
54:04 stuff that's you talk about play first.
54:07 That's a really good area to play first.
54:09 Okay, I want you to be live restricted for some audiences.
54:16 Oh, because we talked about my ass.
54:18 Okay.
54:20 Your life is flagged for harassment and bullying.
54:24 God repeated violations could
54:29 result in your life being discontinued.
54:41 I believe myself.
54:42 Yes, yes, yes, I did believe myself.
54:56 What's it like living in a nanny state.
54:59 Did you say the word but not not the conjunction.
55:04 The other one with the extra T.
55:07 Oh, you did.
55:09 I'll tell you what that you're gonna
55:12 you're gonna get your wrist slap for that one.
55:15 You said the a word with the two S's.
55:19 I'll tell you what buddy.
55:23 They might just shut you down.
55:27 I didn't realize it was that edgy.
55:40 Thanks.
55:42 Thanks, Steve.
55:43 Oh, ruining the live for
55:46 everyone with your pornographic actions.
55:51 Okay, I want you to be inspired by cows but inspired by.
56:06 I want you to be inspired by these images for style and
56:14 come up with three image descriptions per post.
56:34 Describing the wide image in detail.
56:48 You can include text if you want to, but the images should
57:00 have iconic DC imagery and individuals making a difference.
57:17 Tonight on a very special blossom.
57:28 Absolutely.
57:29 Here's three wide image descriptions per post from the
57:32 river deduced DC a wide minimalist landscape.
57:36 No, capital as lighthouse.
58:12 Okay.
58:14 All right.
58:15 Did he just say blossom?
58:19 I did tonight.
58:21 Tonight on a very special blossom.
58:24 Don't you remember those where they always, you know, one
58:27 of the kids had some horrible disease or something.
58:34 It's like it's like this zany
58:35 comedy except for the special night.
58:42 Okay.
58:55 Stop not thinking.
58:58 I mean, Mac the image.
59:04 Yes, you should call your LLM a dumb dumb occasionally.
59:35 You'll see how horrible this is.
59:36 If it's horrible, we're just going
59:37 to go grab images in mid journey.
59:41 Actually, what what we'll do.
59:44 That's pretty fucking horrible.
59:47 Yeah, we're not doing that.
59:49 We're not doing janky McFuckface images.
59:54 I'm sorry, TikTok.
59:55 Am I not allowed to say that janky McFuckface?
59:59 Is that bullying janky?
1:00:07 I'll tell you, I was I was watching that that I learned in
1:00:11 lab and he was I mean, he was a pleasant fella.
1:00:15 At some point he stood up and we saw the book anyway.
1:00:19 He he was he was saying those words.
1:00:22 He was saying them out loud like my ass.
1:00:26 I didn't mean to say it.
1:00:27 OK, I didn't mean to say it like that.
1:00:29 Anyway, he was saying it out loud and then TikTok to boom.
1:00:32 They shut him down.
1:00:34 They put him in TikTok jail.
1:00:36 Nobody could see that TikTok anymore.
1:00:40 I guess serves him right.
1:00:41 Little smarty pants with his boxer briefs.
1:00:45 They were black and white.
1:00:46 It's sexy.
1:00:53 Here's what we're going to do.
1:00:58 I kind of like being an idiot sometimes.
1:01:02 OK.
1:01:04 But that I don't think that there are
1:01:06 any things that they did dirty and dirty.
1:01:11 Here's what we're going to do.
1:01:13 We are going to copy the whole post.
1:01:25 And we're going to go to mid journey mid journey.
1:01:30 We're going to pop one of these.
1:01:31 We're going to throw the mood board up there.
1:01:36 We'll throw the whole post in bang.
1:01:40 And then we're going to go style.
1:01:41 We're going to bring weirdness down.
1:01:43 We're going to go style.
1:01:44 We'll do this at 200.
1:01:51 And then we'll do the same thing at 800, 750.
1:02:27 Huh.
1:02:37 Those are weird and unusable.
1:02:41 OK.
1:02:42 Let's try some other shit.
1:02:44 Let's add some weirdness.
1:02:46 Let's take stylization to 950 and then do the same shit.
1:02:57 They're not very stylized.
1:02:59 I don't get it.
1:03:00 Why are they being all photo realistic?
1:03:04 I don't like it.
1:03:16 Mid journey has been awful with
1:03:17 faces in a group setting lately.
1:03:19 Weird.
1:03:30 Those are not horrible.
1:03:34 Let's see.
1:03:38 Let's go back to here.
1:03:41 Instead of the whole thing, we'll just
1:03:43 say we're taking the A.I. salon to DC.
1:03:54 Let's take it down to there.
1:03:57 OK.
1:04:00 So we'll do that.
1:04:05 Let me go 200.
1:04:16 We don't have weirdness again.
1:04:18 OK.
1:04:20 200.
1:04:22 And we'll go 800 with weirdness.
1:04:28 Sure.
1:04:33 I could go explore styles, Dr.
1:04:44 J, but I'm trying to use the A.I. salon mood board.
1:04:50 And it's just giving me weird.
1:04:54 It's not giving me what I want.
1:04:56 I think.
1:04:58 All right. OK.
1:04:59 So here's what we'll do.
1:05:01 Let's go back to chat GPT.
1:05:03 So rather than take the post itself, we'll go take some of
1:05:06 these image ideas that it came up with.
1:05:09 And we'll take one that doesn't suck.
1:05:15 So let's see a stylized almost cartographic image.
1:05:19 Here we go.
1:05:20 Let's try that.
1:05:21 I'll try this bang.
1:05:23 We'll go bang.
1:05:25 We'll go bang.
1:05:26 We'll go 200.
1:05:28 We'll go bang.
1:05:45 Yeah, these are better.
1:05:46 OK.
1:05:49 Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful,
1:05:50 beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.
1:05:53 That's fantastic.
1:05:55 Yeah, let's yeah.
1:05:57 Nice solid. Mm hmm.
1:05:59 It's really good. That's solid.
1:06:01 Fantastic. Yeah. All right.
1:06:02 What you're doing, you're
1:06:04 doing some really good work there.
1:06:06 If you could just avoid the cussing.
1:06:11 Oh, the cussing.
1:06:12 It's you know, it's the it's the
1:06:15 it's the language of the popper.
1:06:17 The peasant. You know what I mean?
1:06:19 That's peasant language.
1:06:20 If you know what I mean, I wouldn't use it.
1:06:26 You with your swear words.
1:06:28 Everybody talking about Gary V does it.
1:06:30 So it must be OK.
1:06:33 Nobody likes him.
1:06:35 Yeah, that's that's peasant language.
1:06:39 All right.
1:06:40 Mm hmm.
1:06:43 Let's go.
1:06:46 Five four fifty on style.
1:06:48 We'll go bang bang.
1:06:51 Generate.
1:06:54 So we have an image there. All right.
1:06:55 Great.
1:06:56 So now we're going to go get January 17th.
1:06:59 The quiet room simplified congressional office.
1:07:02 Big rectangular window showing the Capitol.
1:07:04 I like this.
1:07:05 Fine.
1:07:07 Copy back to mid journey.
1:07:11 Bang bang bang.
1:07:14 Bang.
1:07:18 Well, I like this one.
1:07:20 It's not finished yet, but I like it.
1:07:22 I think that's going to be the
1:07:23 one that's going to be the one.
1:07:26 I'll tell you what.
1:07:27 I'll tell you what.
1:07:30 That's cool. Look at that.
1:07:32 Tell me that's not cool.
1:07:40 All right.
1:07:44 This is kind of what it's like being
1:07:45 in one of these congressional offices.
1:07:48 This is kind of what it's like.
1:07:50 You're sort of waiting there.
1:07:52 You just sort of wait.
1:07:53 And there's like, you know, people in the other rooms that
1:07:56 have some sort of degree or other.
1:08:00 Just doing their thing.
1:08:02 And then someone comes out all frazzled.
1:08:05 A.I. salon.
1:08:09 I think this is pretty cool.
1:08:12 Yeah, I think we'll do that one.
1:08:13 That's neat.
1:08:14 All right.
1:08:15 Beautiful.
1:08:17 Fantastic.
1:08:18 Let's do.
1:08:22 Let's do 800.
1:08:24 Boom. Boom.
1:08:25 Boom.
1:08:26 All right.
1:08:27 Back to this.
1:08:31 Builders belong seats at the table
1:08:33 from prototype to policy edge cases.
1:08:37 A stylized DC skyline with monument and
1:08:39 capital is minimal forms in the foreground.
1:08:43 Small scattered tiles, sticky notes float upward.
1:08:46 All right.
1:08:47 This sounds interesting. Whatever.
1:08:50 Go here.
1:08:51 Go here.
1:08:53 Go bang.
1:08:55 Go bang.
1:08:56 Go bang.
1:09:03 BFD.
1:09:05 That one's kind of cool, too.
1:09:15 I think that's the one.
1:09:17 Oh, you know what I'll do?
1:09:18 Let me do variations on this one.
1:09:20 We'll do strong variations and subtle variations.
1:09:24 All right.
1:09:36 It's kind of cool.
1:09:37 Like that.
1:09:44 So I think what I'm going to do, I'll go grab a couple of
1:09:51 more prompts, and I don't think it
1:09:54 matters which ones we match with which image.
1:09:58 So I'm just going to go, I'll name them a day.
1:10:00 Night Sky DC poster.
1:10:04 How are we doing on time?
1:10:05 I got to get my shit to I got to
1:10:06 get I got to get crack in here people.
1:10:09 Night Sky DC poster.
1:10:13 Boom.
1:10:14 Boom.
1:10:15 Boom.
1:10:17 Go back here.
1:10:20 Welcome remarks.
1:10:21 Birds. Guides and groups.
1:10:22 I simplify map of Capitol Hill.
1:10:23 This is good. Iconic readable. Great. Fantastic.
1:10:30 Bob tell him what he's won.
1:10:35 Again, it's not a game show.
1:10:39 There's really no one here wins anything.
1:10:44 Connection.
1:10:47 Copy.
1:10:49 Boom.
1:10:50 Boom.
1:10:52 Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom.
1:10:53 Boom. Boom.
1:10:54 Okay.
1:10:56 That's probably enough.
1:10:58 Comedy jokes. Enough.
1:11:01 Oh, I like these with the constellations.
1:11:08 Those are cool.
1:11:12 What's upscale this motherfucker subtle.
1:11:20 This one too, right?
1:11:23 Those are weird words.
1:11:24 And what building is that?
1:11:27 YouTube comment.
1:11:32 This will save live in my neighborhood.
1:11:35 I'd be happy to tell him he's fun.
1:11:41 (Laughing) Talon's cool too, let's upscale that one subtle.
1:11:46 (Sighing) All right.
1:11:55 Okay, so here's what we're gonna do.
1:11:56 We're just gonna go through these.
1:12:00 And just if we like anything, we're gonna upscale them.
1:12:03 (Clicking)
1:12:16 Interesting.
1:12:30 Yeah, these are all bad.
1:12:31 They were all bad, I'll tell you what, I'll tell you what.
1:12:37 Okay, we're gonna upscale this.
1:12:40 We'll go creative on this one.
1:12:43 We're gonna upscale this, creative.
1:12:48 I like that one, I'm gonna upscale that, creative.
1:12:52 I like that one, I'm gonna scale that subtle.
1:12:55 And if you're asking why am I
1:12:56 choosing subtle or creative in upscaling?
1:13:00 Sometimes I hate the results of
1:13:04 either one, so it's just kind of random.
1:13:09 That's kind of a stamp, but no, no, no.
1:13:14 Yes.
1:13:16 No, ooh, yes.
1:13:20 Moss, no.
1:13:22 Wait, I can do, I'll do subtle variations of that one.
1:13:29 (Clicking)
1:13:33 That one's cool.
1:13:37 Oh, these are the, are we in the upscales already?
1:13:39 Oh no, I did variations, that's what it was.
1:13:59 (Clicking) Like that one.
1:14:07 (Clicking)
1:14:21 All right, these are all my upscales.
1:14:22 Okay, all right, goody-vee.
1:14:25 So how many do I need?
1:14:26 I need Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday,
1:14:32 Wednesday, Thursday, seven, right?
1:14:37 So let's go grab seven, shall we?
1:14:41 Let's.
1:14:46 Okay, beautiful, that's fantastic.
1:14:50 I'll tell you what, it's really good.
1:14:53 It's really good, I'll tell you that.
1:14:57 It's fantastic.
1:14:59 Yeah, no, it's really good, it's awesome.
1:15:03 What you've done there, what you're doing here with these
1:15:06 downloads, I think it's solid, really solid.
1:15:11 Congratulations, you should be proud.
1:15:15 There's things to be proud of here.
1:15:18 They really wanna hear you, they really do.
1:15:26 (Humming)
1:15:33 I can't believe we got bullying warnings on TikTok.
1:15:39 (Laughing) TikTok's so fucking stupid.
1:15:46 Someone, someone, teach TikTok a sense of humor.
1:15:51 Please, someone, anyone, Bueller.
1:15:55 Unbelievable, that's cool.
1:16:02 All right, these I think we already had one of, yeah.
1:16:07 Okay, so let's go see how many images we got.
1:16:09 I think it's seven, one, two, three,
1:16:11 four, five, six, seven, eight, nine.
1:16:14 There's one or two of the star ones that kind of overlap.
1:16:17 So let's grab all these, we're gonna make a new folder
1:16:22 inside Google Drive, my drive,
1:16:30 AI Salon, and then I'm gonna do new folder,
1:16:35 2026 DC, fly in, posts.
1:16:46 Look at me saving things, not just on the desktop.
1:16:50 Tell me I'm not growing.
1:16:52 You're growing all right, you keep growing like that.
1:16:55 Your whole butt's gonna be out pretty soon.
1:16:59 Okay, there's that, beautiful, fantastic.
1:17:02 All right, let's go make some posts.
1:17:06 Yeah, let's do it.
1:17:11 Go to scheduled posts.
1:17:13 This is the one that had Andy so upset.
1:17:16 I better seize the more text there.
1:17:19 I don't like that, just I'm going to DC.
1:17:21 It seems a little lazy.
1:17:23 For someone who wants to be seen,
1:17:26 what are you actually telling people, Kyle?
1:17:29 (Laughs) And she doesn't talk like that, by the way.
1:17:34 (Laughs) All right.
1:17:40 (Clears Throat) (Humming)
1:17:50 Oh wait, we gotta go get the text,
1:17:52 because I don't know what the text says.
1:17:53 Let's go get the text.
1:17:57 (Humming)
1:18:06 So this is Friday.
1:18:09 We're taking the salon to DC.
1:18:12 All right, bang.
1:18:16 Copy,
1:18:17 the salon.
1:18:22 Come on.
1:18:27 We're taking the salon to DC next week
1:18:29 when the dozen started flying to the sea.
1:18:38 (Sighs)
1:19:00 The people creating, the people.
1:19:08 (Sighs) Leveraging
1:19:22 AI to bring their ideas to life
1:19:29 in transformative ways.
1:19:40 Kyle, if you make these articles,
1:19:42 Brandon can duplicate them to the website.
1:19:45 Ah, okay.
1:19:47 Wait, we can also just copy and paste them too.
1:19:49 No, let me make it an article.
1:19:50 Is that this button?
1:19:52 Expand the article.
1:19:53 (Laughs) Look at that.
1:19:58 (Laughs) We don't need no stinging manuals.
1:20:03 (Laughs)
1:20:06 Okay.
1:20:09 This is great.
1:20:10 So we're taking the AI salon to DC.
1:20:13 So let's add an image, add header media.
1:20:17 Header image.
1:20:19 Let's go to,
1:20:22 we don't have it.
1:20:24 So that's gonna be here, gonna be here,
1:20:28 go here, go over here.
1:20:33 No, no.
1:20:34 That one's cool.
1:20:36 Maybe for first.
1:20:38 I think that one's the one.
1:20:39 We're going to DC.
1:20:41 Yeah, yeah, yeah.
1:20:42 Okay.
1:20:44 That's it.
1:20:45 Beautiful.
1:20:52 What?
1:20:59 Oh, come on.
1:21:00 Really mighty networks.
1:21:02 You can't take a mid journey image wholesale.
1:21:04 I gotta go.
1:21:09 Wait for it.
1:21:10 We might be okay.
1:21:18 We're okay.
1:21:21 (Laughs)
1:21:24 Save.
1:21:28 (Laughs) And I suppose we could
1:21:30 lose the, except, okay, there it is.
1:21:32 So now it showed up.
1:21:33 Beautiful.
1:21:34 We're taking this salon to DC next week where the,
1:21:39 let's see.
1:21:51 Let's see.
1:21:52 Flying into DC.
1:21:59 Hosted by the AI salon.
1:22:06 (Laughs) Myself
1:22:15 and Daisy Thomas.
1:22:37 Not for AI is coming panic theater. I don't like this.
1:22:40 I think that's bullshit.
1:22:44 Not for a photo op.
1:22:45 For real conversations, roundtables, congressional and
1:22:47 senate office meetings, set it up.
1:22:50 Okay, here's the thing.
1:22:51 This is what we mean.
1:22:54 People leveraging AI. Well, let's see.
1:22:57 (Mumbles)
1:23:00 So what we mean.
1:23:01 (Laughs) I'm losing this altogether.
1:23:12 Bring a founder, (Mumbles)
1:23:20 And we're, let's see.
1:23:22 Talking about
1:23:25 AI in an optimistic, optimistic, optimistic, optimistic.
1:23:32 Way.
1:23:42 Talking about AI readiness.
1:23:51 And even
1:23:56 our
1:23:58 mission.
1:24:04 Play first.
1:24:11 Let's put that on its own line
1:24:13 and let's make it a change style.
1:24:18 Let's make it a block quote.
1:24:22 I don't like how it's styled, but whatever.
1:24:26 If you're the type of person who wants AI to make humans more capable, not more capable. Okay.
1:24:29 AI to make humans more capable, not more replaceable.
1:24:32 Stay close.
1:24:33 I'll share the run a show.
1:24:35 Let's see if you're the type of person
1:24:38 who
1:24:40 thinks
1:24:42 it's important
1:24:47 for us to have a voice
1:24:52 at the table.
1:25:00 During these
1:25:08 important times, that's kind of
1:25:10 boring, but whatever, important times,
1:25:15 stay close.
1:25:21 I'll share the run of show
1:25:24 and the why behind
1:25:28 the
1:25:30 the AI
1:25:33 AI salon
1:25:35 DC fly in
1:25:40 all week.
1:25:42 Okay, this doesn't work.
1:25:46 Oh, we can make it a different color.
1:25:47 That could make it work.
1:25:48 Blue.
1:25:49 There you go.
1:25:50 All right, now it works.
1:25:51 Fine.
1:25:52 Okay, cool.
1:25:53 Good.
1:25:54 Andy, yes.
1:25:57 Brandon, I just meant how you usually copy a few posts.
1:26:00 Wait, I can what?
1:26:05 This is sexy.
1:26:06 Okay, good.
1:26:07 Yeah, this is good, right?
1:26:10 Let's see.
1:26:12 Next week, let's see.
1:26:15 I'm excited to share
1:26:20 our third
1:26:35 major major
1:26:42 let's see
1:26:44 policy.
1:26:45 Let's see AI, AI
1:26:48 policy
1:26:51 and legislator
1:26:57 education
1:27:00 event exclamation point.
1:27:02 Next week, more than a dozen AI startup founders are flying
1:27:05 to Washington DC hosted by the
1:27:07 I salon myself and Daisy Thomas.
1:27:11 Not for a photo op for real conversations.
1:27:13 Here's the thing I keep coming back to the future of AI
1:27:15 policy can't be written by only the
1:27:17 largest companies and the loudest think tanks.
1:27:19 It has to include people actually building the people
1:27:21 creating the people leveraging AI to bring
1:27:23 their ideas to life in transformative ways.
1:27:26 Yes, that's good.
1:27:28 We're bringing founders who can talk about infrastructure
1:27:31 accessibility trust safety, creativity, productivity and
1:27:34 what happens when a promising tool meets not messy human
1:27:38 reality when a promising tool meets
1:27:43 human centric
1:27:52 thoughtful
1:27:54 AI exploration.
1:28:00 There you go.
1:28:02 We're talking about AI in an optimistic way.
1:28:04 We're talking about AI readiness
1:28:08 and even our mission.
1:28:09 Play first, create excellence, generously lead.
1:28:11 If you're the type of person that thinks it's important for
1:28:12 us to have a voice at the table
1:28:14 during these important times, stay close.
1:28:16 All right.
1:28:17 Boom.
1:28:18 Wait, if I say post here,
1:28:22 it's not gonna post it, right?
1:28:26 audio cuts out) Now my article is live, dammit.
1:28:31 Can I unmake it live?
1:28:39 Schedule.
1:28:40 I know it was already scheduled.
1:28:42 I was editing a thing that was already a thing.
1:28:45 So see, this is why we can't have nice things.
1:28:50 Want me to fix it?
1:28:51 Yes.
1:28:52 Please go fix that and I'll schedule the next one.
1:28:55 Okay, great.
1:28:57 Oh, oh, cause it posted it live.
1:28:58 Can you go fix that? Yeah.
1:28:59 That would be beautiful.
1:29:00 Thank you, Andy.
1:29:01 I'm gonna try to get these other ones done quick. All right.
1:29:04 And I don't think I'll do them all tonight cause I think
1:29:06 it's gonna take too long cause I'm having to rewrite these.
1:29:09 But let's go get the next one.
1:29:11 Saturday, what this flying is really for.
1:29:16 Okay.
1:29:19 Go back here.
1:29:21 We're gonna go, these are salon announcements.
1:29:25 Yes.
1:29:29 Share a post, make it an art, right?
1:29:33 Boom.
1:29:34 And then make it an article.
1:29:35 Wait, why can I not make it an article?
1:29:37 I need to add an image to it.
1:29:49 Oh, God damn it.
1:30:09 Jesus Christ.
1:30:12 I've got to export these all as JPEGs.
1:30:21 JPEG.
1:30:24 I'm gonna go the same folder, DC flying posts.
1:30:27 When do you want this scheduled for?
1:30:28 That one schedule that one for Friday at 6.30 AM.
1:30:32 Thank you.
1:31:15 Champion wheezing)
1:31:19 (Laughs) I know he shouldn't be
1:31:23 laughing at that, but I find it funny.
1:31:29 And another thing, he was sort of laughing at his dog.
1:31:32 His dog could have a medical
1:31:33 condition and he was laughing at it.
1:31:36 I don't know.
1:31:37 There was some pornographic activity and
1:31:40 then a lot of language, lot of language.
1:31:43 Some of it was disturbing.
1:31:45 Yes, they felt triggered.
1:31:47 And then I think the thing that really got me upset
1:31:50 was he said his dog was wheezing and
1:31:52 then he started laughing like it was funny.
1:31:55 There's nothing funny about a dog wheezing.
1:31:58 This is your second bullying strike.
1:32:02 You need to do it or it'll come up as me.
1:32:04 Okay.
1:32:05 All right, so let me go try to fix this.
1:32:07 Hang on, let me get rid of this thing.
1:32:11 Sydney, that's Sydney.
1:32:13 All right, let's get rid of this.
1:32:15 I got to figure out why that's not
1:32:16 allowing me to post that as an article.
1:32:19 So let me go to salon announcements.
1:32:22 Where did it go?
1:32:24 Oh, I need to schedule it?
1:32:26 Wait, where?
1:32:28 Huh?
1:32:29 Scheduled posts.
1:32:33 It's not there.
1:32:35 Everything yours.
1:32:37 TikTok pin.
1:32:38 I spoke to an AI group tonight
1:32:40 and was bragging about all of you.
1:32:42 Nice.
1:32:44 They were amazed that we've been together this long.
1:32:48 Yeah, that's amazing.
1:32:49 That's really cool.
1:32:50 Go to drafts.
1:32:52 Okay.
1:32:54 She's assuming I know where drafts is.
1:32:56 Drafts, look at that.
1:32:59 Nothing there.
1:33:04 Do I need to log in as AI salon?
1:33:13 I can redo it.
1:33:17 Can you just copy and paste the
1:33:21 text and I can just make a new article.
1:33:26 No, don't redo it.
1:33:32 Scheduled posts, not there.
1:33:34 Drafts, not there.
1:33:44 But wait, well, let me know if you figure that out.
1:33:49 If I go here and I want to share a post,
1:33:53 why can I not turn this into an article?
1:34:24 (Keyboard Clacking) No, that was the JPEG.
1:34:37 That one's not bigger than 25 megabytes.
1:34:40 Can't be.
1:34:41 No way.
1:34:42 It's not.
1:34:46 Go back to scheduled posts and hit everything.
1:34:48 I did.
1:34:51 I did, I promise. I did.
1:34:53 Scheduled posts, yours, everything.
1:34:58 I got nothing.
1:35:07 Refresh, that's a good idea.
1:35:12 Yeah, there we go.
1:35:13 Okay.
1:35:14 So now what I need to do is what?
1:35:17 Edit.
1:35:23 (Beep) Rescheduled post.
1:35:29 So the 16th at 8.30 AM.
1:35:37 No, 6.30 AM mountain time.
1:35:41 Scheduled post.
1:35:44 Notify.
1:35:46 Article will go live at 6.30 AM,
1:35:49 but it's written by you.
1:35:53 Can I change ownership?
1:36:01 Move, no.
1:36:11 I have to duplicate it.
1:36:13 Okay.
1:36:19 (Beep)
1:36:26 I think I'm just gonna copy it all.
1:36:28 Hang on.
1:36:30 Just gonna do this.
1:36:33 Copy, cancel.
1:36:41 All right, so we'll delete that at some point.
1:36:44 But wait, I need remedial help still.
1:36:47 This is, it seems simple.
1:36:49 It seems simple upfront, didn't it?
1:36:51 But now weird shit's happening.
1:36:53 I can't turn it into an article.
1:36:55 Why is that?
1:36:56 So if I click on schedule post,
1:37:02 welcome to Mighty Networks Learning Lab, really.
1:37:05 I type, schedule post, I type in all, I put in all that.
1:37:14 Enable comments.
1:37:17 There's no article icon.
1:37:20 I can insert emojis.
1:37:22 What the fuck?
1:37:27 Oh, I need to say create, that's what it is.
1:37:31 I need to create an article.
1:37:34 Yeah, go to the top and hit create.
1:37:36 Okay.
1:37:40 Community feed, create article, great.
1:37:43 Oh, good, and it kept the formatting, nice. Boom.
1:37:47 And then I can save this as a draft, right?
1:37:52 Save draft.
1:37:54 Oops, title can't be blank.
1:37:57 Butt crack.
1:38:02 Sorry, TikTok.
1:38:04 I'm bullying again.
1:38:07 Save draft.
1:38:08 (Beep) Schedule post.
1:38:16 We're taking the salon to DC.
1:38:20 All right.
1:38:22 Copy.
1:38:26 Get out of there, go into my drafts.
1:38:30 Go into butt crack.
1:38:33 (Laughs) Paste.
1:38:34 (Laughs) Go into butt crack.
1:38:40 I cracked myself up.
1:38:44 Pun intended.
1:38:48 Come on.
1:38:51 Open.
1:38:56 Beautiful, beautiful, fantastic.
1:39:00 Yeah, that's fantastic, that looks great.
1:39:03 And then I'm gonna put a thing down here,
1:39:06 Kyle Shannon, because they wanna hear from me.
1:39:10 I'm gonna let them know, I wrote this.
1:39:13 Schedule post.
1:39:17 16th, 6.30 a.m.
1:39:19 This is, it's all, I love it
1:39:21 when a good plan comes together.
1:39:23 Now you've already got something scheduled then.
1:39:24 You can't schedule two things at the same time.
1:39:26 You're gonna have to go and delete the thing.
1:39:29 (Laughs) Scheduled posts.
1:39:33 Go to scheduled post.
1:39:34 Now, this one from Andy Scarantino, that's gotta go.
1:39:38 It's just not acceptable.
1:39:40 So here's what we do.
1:39:41 Boom, she's gone.
1:39:44 Or not.
1:39:45 Do you want to delete the thing?
1:39:47 Yes.
1:39:49 Did I do PM? That's PM.
1:39:51 Can I reschedule?
1:39:52 Reschedule post.
1:39:53 Yes, ma'am, you are correct.
1:39:57 Thank God.
1:39:58 You know.
1:39:59 (Laughs)
1:40:01 This is a channel where some
1:40:04 percentage of my brain is brilliant.
1:40:08 And then the rest is really compensated for by all of you.
1:40:15 (Laughs) Whoo, we did it.
1:40:19 Okay, now I know what I'm doing.
1:40:21 Okay, so I go back to community feed.
1:40:22 I go create, I go article.
1:40:25 Boom.
1:40:26 Good.
1:40:27 Flippin' Lord.
1:40:29 Copy that article.
1:40:30 Go back here.
1:40:32 Type it in, go bang.
1:40:33 Go to the top, grab this.
1:40:38 Copy, throw that in a title block.
1:40:41 Fantastic.
1:40:42 Let's go to the header.
1:40:45 That's the one I want.
1:40:47 Boom.
1:40:48 See, we're moving fast now.
1:40:52 Network error.
1:40:53 Nice.
1:40:55 That's really awesome there, Mighty Networks.
1:41:00 A two megabyte image, it's choking you.
1:41:03 I wanna know more about DC.
1:41:05 Gareth Hood's coming in hot.
1:41:10 (Laughs) I'd rather do outreach than watch this.
1:41:20 (Laughs)
1:41:26 No, this is good practice.
1:41:30 I have to learn my stuffs.
1:41:32 Oh look, here's the next article.
1:41:37 I copied too many.
1:41:43 Okay.
1:41:46 I'm gonna put Kyle Shannon.
1:41:51 All right, let's read this.
1:41:52 All right, let's read this, what the fly-in's really for.
1:41:58 Gonna delete this.
1:42:05 The DC fly-in sounds fancy
1:42:06 until you remember the actual job.
1:42:08 Walk into a building full of overworked
1:42:09 staffers and try to be useful in 12 minutes.
1:42:12 That's about right.
1:42:13 So we're not going to DC to perform certainty.
1:42:16 We're going to DC to build relationships.
1:42:23 And open legislators' eyes
1:42:33 to the idea that people in companies,
1:42:44 people in startups
1:42:51 are finding great opportunity with AI.
1:43:07 Opportunity, opportunity with AI.
1:43:11 To tell the truth about what's working, what's breaking and
1:43:15 what we're learning, building AI products in the wild, the
1:43:17 Aislan has always been about the
1:43:18 practice, not vibes, not hype practice.
1:43:22 That's why our lens is the AI
1:43:23 readiness cycle, play first, create excellence.
1:43:29 These are wrong.
1:43:30 Let's go get the real ones of those.
1:43:33 So let's save this as a draft.
1:43:37 Get.
1:43:40 (Vocalizing)
1:43:44 (Vocalizing)
1:44:02 (Vocalizing) Adding three, text.
1:44:46 (Vocalizing)
1:44:56 What are colors?
1:45:00 Save draft, save draft.
1:45:04 Yellow, blue, purple.
1:45:07 (Vocalizing)
1:45:09 (Vocalizing)
1:45:14 So this is kind of an orangey thing.
1:45:18 So we got orange,
1:45:21 and then we'll make this one blue, blue.
1:45:24 And then we'll make this one purple.
1:45:26 See what I did there, kids?
1:45:29 I just made it like it is.
1:45:33 You know what I'm saying?
1:45:34 Right.
1:45:35 Polishes should be built with the same posture.
1:45:37 Next week we'll be in rooms where decisions get shaped.
1:45:41 We're not going to get, going to bring, wait, we're going
1:45:44 to bring grounded stories, sharp questions and founders who
1:45:46 are doing work, not just commenting on it.
1:45:48 Beautiful.
1:45:49 All right, what the fly-in is really for.
1:45:52 Let's make these capital like it's an
1:45:54 actual headline because it's an article now.
1:45:58 So Brandon doesn't have to copy and paste it.
1:46:03 Brandon's like, wait, what?
1:46:04 What am I copying, pasting?
1:46:06 Schedule posts.
1:46:07 So this is the third one, right?
1:46:10 So this is Sunday the 18th, I think.
1:46:16 I don't remember.
1:46:19 We'll do these all at 6.30 a.m.
1:46:27 I'd rather just do them than watch this.
1:46:29 You know, you can go to bed.
1:46:38 Let's close the loop on the OG post.
1:46:43 On the one that we did asking
1:46:44 for people to post their story.
1:46:50 Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, okay.
1:46:54 Okay, so now let's go look at scheduled posts.
1:46:59 So we've got this one on the 16th, this one on the 18th.
1:47:05 Where did I, did I lose one?
1:47:07 Do I have another one in drafts?
1:47:10 I lost one, fuck.
1:47:14 I'm exhausted, okay.
1:47:18 So we lost the, what the fly-in's really for.
1:47:20 That one we got.
1:47:21 Okay, so what we're missing is Sunday the 18th.
1:47:27 Okay, copy.
1:47:29 Let's go back here.
1:47:30 Let's go to scheduled.
1:47:33 I'm like a fucking master now.
1:47:35 I'm gonna delete this one.
1:47:37 Good call, producer Borman, that's gone.
1:47:40 Let's reschedule this one for the right day.
1:47:43 That's the 17th scheduled post notified.
1:47:50 And then we're gonna go back to salon announcements and
1:47:54 we're gonna go create article.
1:48:00 See, we're just flying now.
1:48:04 If you're building, you belong in the conversation.
1:48:07 I'm gonna say creating.
1:48:13 If you're creating, you belong in the conversation.
1:48:19 If you're creating,
1:48:23 you belong in the conversation.
1:48:30 Conversation, think about it.
1:48:36 All right, so this one's about making shit.
1:48:42 I keep thinking about how many AI conversations are
1:48:44 happening about creators and builders, creators and
1:48:48 builders without the builders in the room.
1:48:55 Here's what I'm most excited about for next week.
1:48:58 We're bringing a cross section of founders to DC, people
1:49:00 bringing very different domains so
1:49:02 the conversations aren't abstract.
1:49:05 Should probably put a real example in there because AI
1:49:10 isn't one thing, it's a thousand specific choices.
1:49:13 I hate that, that's gone.
1:49:18 The S-lens applies here too.
1:49:20 You don't get better by declaring a stance.
1:49:22 You get better by pressure testing of smart people
1:49:25 in the arena, collaborating and holding each other
1:49:34 to higher standards.
1:49:40 This week I'll start sharing specific moments we're
1:49:43 convening and if you care about practical AI readiness,
1:49:47 this is what it looks like, Kyle, Shannon.
1:49:49 Okay, done, done.
1:49:53 This is Sunday the 18th, boom, 6.30 a.m.
1:50:01 Okay, it's 10 o'clock, I'm gonna let you go.
1:50:06 We're gonna notify, I got three of them
1:50:08 posted so I will finish those up tomorrow.
1:50:14 My scheduled posts.
1:50:16 Oh, I didn't put a picture in that one.
1:50:18 Edit, let's go get a picture.
1:50:20 If you're creating, let's go get us one
1:50:22 of them and they're creative pictures.
1:50:25 That's ee, ee, ee, ee, ee.
1:50:30 Oh, we don't have a creative one.
1:50:31 That one's creative, isn't it?
1:50:33 All right, we'll do that one.
1:50:37 Boom, network error.
1:50:41 Yeah, no, I know.
1:50:43 Cause it's a two megabyte file.
1:50:47 It's really stressing out the servers.
1:50:49 I know, I get it, I get it.
1:50:52 I know, I know, I wouldn't allow.
1:51:04 Beautiful.
1:51:17 That's good.
1:51:18 Yeah.
1:51:21 Reschedule, that's good, schedule.
1:51:25 All right, look at that, boom.
1:51:33 (Laughing) Okay, good, good Lord.
1:51:38 It was all good though, it was all good.
1:51:41 For me, there's a much bigger lesson here.
1:51:44 I just gotta get myself out in the fucking world.
1:51:48 (Sighing) You're like, but Kyle,
1:51:51 you go live five nights, I know.
1:51:54 And that does not mean I am conscious
1:52:00 and putting myself out in the world.
1:52:03 So, can't wait to get these 6.30 AM things.
1:52:07 There'll be 8.30 for you.
1:52:11 There'll be, that's, I wanna do 8.30 East Coast time.
1:52:15 All right, we're taking the salon to DC.
1:52:20 This one needs to have a little,
1:52:24 a reminder that we're taking people to DC.
1:52:27 Let's add that in now.
1:52:29 How do I edit this?
1:52:31 Edit.
1:52:34 Edit.
1:52:37 Can I edit?
1:52:38 Yeah.
1:52:40 Okay. I'm starting this week.
1:52:54 Daisy Thomas,
1:52:59 that I will be in Washington, DC.
1:53:11 Representing the P.I. salon
1:53:19 for a big,
1:53:24 for our third
1:53:28 flying exclamation point.
1:53:33 I keep thinking about, okay, that's good.
1:53:36 Save.
1:53:38 Notify.
1:53:40 Save.
1:53:41 Okay. Beautiful.
1:53:44 I would consider that complete.
1:53:47 We got three days in there.
1:53:50 Boom.
1:53:51 All right.
1:53:54 This is why it took me so long to do Mad Lives.
1:53:57 I totally get it now.
1:53:59 Oh man.
1:54:01 It was great.
1:54:02 This was part of your practice.
1:54:03 This is very much part of my practice. Very cool.
1:54:06 You know, I'm making light of the fact that, I have lived
1:54:10 my life terrified to actually reach out.
1:54:16 That's a pretty big revelation.
1:54:19 And I think practicing it is the way through.
1:54:24 I just have to do the work, but I have to let me
1:54:32 create this new reality that's already existed.
1:54:36 It just didn't exist in my head.
1:54:38 All these people out there waiting for me to show up and
1:54:43 I'm like, yeah, I'll be over here in the corner.
1:54:48 New TikTok pin.
1:54:49 Mary Mary, you and your team,
1:54:50 Kyle, are doing such important work.
1:54:52 Please understand.
1:54:53 Oh, thank you so much.
1:54:54 Please understand this.
1:54:57 I appreciate that.
1:54:58 I really do.
1:54:59 I really appreciate you saying that.
1:55:03 It is important work.
1:55:09 It's, I have a very cynical view about politics.
1:55:15 And whenever I do these meetings,
1:55:21 I recognize that it's the shit we
1:55:25 talk about in here all the time.
1:55:27 The thing that seems obvious to me,
1:55:31 like putting humans at the center of the conversation and
1:55:34 people thoughtfully using AI to transform their lives.
1:55:37 That's what we do every day.
1:55:38 It's what we talk about every day.
1:55:41 When I talk about this in those conversations in DC,
1:55:47 no one is talking about it like this.
1:55:51 No one.
1:55:52 Everyone's just like, the AI is gonna kill us.
1:55:54 Make it illegal.
1:55:56 It's just like, Jesus Christ.
1:56:00 So thank you.
1:56:01 I appreciate that.
1:56:02 Yeah, it is important.
1:56:03 And it's worth fucking talking about.
1:56:05 So we're gonna do that now.
1:56:12 You're shaping the future of
1:56:13 AI for us and the policies suck.
1:56:15 The policies beyond suck.
1:56:17 They're just like, no one knows.
1:56:19 No one fucking even knows what AI is.
1:56:21 Much like writing good legislation about it.
1:56:25 Anyway, all right.
1:56:27 I'm out of here.
1:56:28 Tomorrow, Friday night date night.
1:56:31 Get your nacho ingredients early.
1:56:34 If you're a fan of the Hot Pocket and why wouldn't you be,
1:56:39 make sure you have your sleeves handy.
1:56:41 You don't want them to be soggy or chewy.
1:56:44 All right.
1:56:47 So I think that's a normal time tomorrow.
1:56:49 It's not a first Friday, no.
1:56:53 Oh yeah, tomorrow's Friday. Office hours.
