21. 4:22Twitter and it just it like it was it was a it was one of the tornadoes the tornado that crossed the main Highway
22. 4:29and I guess in in Nebraska it was like a half a mile wide tornado and then the guy that posted it on Twitter posted
23. 4:37basically hey Twitter Hey X is this real or not like is this AI generated or not and are you going to do
24. 4:45things to detect if stuff like this is real or not and it just made me like oh God like it's like it's like bad enough
25. 4:52that we're having to deal with just all the crap of the world and now we're going to have to like deal with you know
26. 4:58people putting out fake tornado videos or real tornado videos and then we think they're fake and I you know it just sort
27. 5:05of struck me that oh this is going to get this is going to get exhausting I I I I have predicted that I you know 2023
28. 5:14the last normal year I think 2024 is going to get weird um and uh you know because of because of just the the
29. 5:23ability to do anything like anyone that's got any any kind of agenda can put something out there and and it's going to it's going to
30. 5:31confuse things pretty dramatically and I think you know I think it's I think Where It ultimately pushes us is it pushes us to some sort of
31. 5:41tokenization some sort of blockchain verified content stream right that we verify that people are people and this
32. 5:49content is from actual people and [ __ ] like that but we're going to have to go through the [ __ ] to get there so anyway crazy So

45. 8:01saw it was like a response in Twitter somewhere like like someone said something about Ai and then someone else
46. 8:07said oh you're just being an instigator and I just I love that [ __ ] word and I was trying to think what to put there
47. 8:14cuz I hate thought leader right like you know AI thought leader and then I think I had AI marketing strategist and it's
48. 8:23like what the [ __ ] is that like I get what a marketing strategist is but like you know does it mean you don't do
49. 8:29anything I don't know and then when I just I heard that word I'm like that's what I am so yeah so officially on my
50. 8:37LinkedIn profile now I am an AI instigator so there you go that's what this is that's what this is all about instigation oh yeah um I got an
51. 8:52email from rabbit that gave me a tracking tracking number for my my rabbit R1 rabbit let's
52. 9:12see oh dang it they've got the the email coded weird so if you click on the tracking number it takes you to the page but it doesn't
53. 9:20actually it doesn't actually paste the tracking number into the postal form to track it all right so let's see see
54. 9:31oh Departed the shipping partner facility in Ontario Canada oh yeah does it have a a predicted
55. 9:52date wait what the post office is so [ __ ] up it says your item departed a shipping partner facility at 20:2 a.m. on April 27th and
56. 10:11today's April 26th the the rabbit R1 is so powerful at time travels they send it tomorrow so it's on its way it's going
57. 10:23to be here last Thursday wait so so AI is so [ __ ] janky that like even USPS Postal tracking is [ __ ] up with
58. 10:38it that's hilarious it arrived at the shipping partner facility tomorrow at 1:00 a.m. Ontario time and it left at 20:2 a.m.
59. 10:55tomorrow I I guess I guess someone fired their it person that was responsible for for setting the clock on on the
60. 11:05facility computer it's probably like a a PC2 running Windows [Music] 92 oh that was a hilarious thing so Wednesday when I was testifying in
61. 11:20Congress the um what do they call it the the woman who L it the the chair I think think the chair she was
62. 11:28the the the chair of the meeting she was funny um what did she say she goes someone was testifying about like
63. 11:38how slow government runs or something like that and then she was she was talking about like the the only thing we
64. 11:44have as senators are black black words on white paper she was just talking about you know we can only go by what we
65. 11:52see on the paper on the law and you know you can you can say all this stuff you want but like what we have to go by is
66. 11:59what's on the paper and then she goes she goes it doesn't help that we're still using Word Perfect and it got like
67. 12:06a huge laugh like it was the it was the only audience reaction of the day it got this huge laugh and she looked out and
68. 12:13she goes you think I'm kidding they're still use a word perfect in the [ __ ] Colorado Senate oh man that was pretty funny it's
69. 12:27like ah the wheels of Justice they are creaking along them typewriters getting [Laughter] squeaky oh Wednesday when I was testifying in
70. 12:39Congress yeah yeah yeah oh I know I know I got to stop bragging Mr Shannon Goes to Washington well goes to Colorado goes to Capitol
71. 12:55Hill um so I played a little bit with memory today on chat GPT and I figure we could we could play with that tonight and then
72. 13:06I and I feel like it's worth playing with activate the flux capacitor that's good Papa JJ did you see the Baltimore
73. 13:14story about the school athletic director's use of AI to re retaliate yeah the so Allan I mean so what this
74. 13:21guy did was he cloned the principal's voice and then had like made a tape of the principal or like a recorded phone
75. 13:28call of the principes saying whatever sexual stuff about a student or something like that like really really
76. 13:34just destructive stuff and this is you know it's funny this is actually some of this kind of stuff came up in
77. 13:42um in the in the Congressional uh testimony stuff um where like what some of the people were were arguing for and
78. 13:51I I think it's reasonable is like we've got laws on the books for things like fraud and harassment and bribery and
79. 13:58like like there's already laws to do this just because you use AI to do it doesn't mean it's not still against the
80. 14:05law right so so so one piece of this is yeah if if someone does something [ __ ] up with AI they should be [ __ ] prosecuted the the thing
81. 14:17that's frustrating for me every time some idiot does that is that the news channels they just want Sensational [ __ ]
82. 14:27so they're not going to put you know somebody used Ai and really helped their grandmother you know get get through a
83. 14:35tough time they're going to put you know someone you know made a deep fake of someone and and you know ai's evil right
84. 14:43like it's going to get positioned as ai's the evil thing no that guy's a [ __ ] [ __ ] he's the evil one not the tool
85. 14:51right so but anyway that's just what we're going to have to deal with for three years well yeah three years the
86. 14:59next three years are going to be going to be a lot of that [ __ ] going to be a lot of people you know sort of
87. 15:07uh saying ai's over there's that guy Gary Marcus is just continually saying now you know um large language models
88. 15:16have peaked they're never going to get any better this is it they're always going to suck it's not usable and you know it's just it's we're
89. 15:25just going to have to deal with that [ __ ] so anyway that's fine that's fine that's why we're here just keep playing just keep playing
90. 15:33with this [ __ ] because you know the the people that play with this I think this was a point that I made when I got questioned
91. 15:44um like it is like remarkably empowering when you actually use this stuff if you sit on the sidelines it's scary as
92. 15:55[ __ ] but when you actually use it you're like oh right I can up my game I can create a whole new game I can do something I've never done
93. 16:05before I don't know if Cindy K's in here tonight we we had our office hours call today and she and I were on two
94. 16:12different calls together today she said something in our first meeting she she didn't realize that what she said was
95. 16:19funny she said she said oh I forgot to tell you I accidentally published a book this weekend she she had been like sort of gathering
96. 16:34best practices for for how to use AI to do something I forget what it was oh she's here it's so awesome Sydney I
97. 16:43don't know if you can talk but if you want to come up and tell your story I'll bring you up on stage you can tell it
98. 16:47but but she was she was like she she had this stuff and and I think Ann Murphy said uh this stuff's really good like is
99. 16:55this in a book cuz I want to send this to people and Sydney was like oh no she like dumped it into canva I guess a
100. 17:02canva template formatted it up and bang she's now she's now got a book out that she published over the weekend I don't
101. 17:09know how to come on stage oh I think you might need to let me see if I can bring you up I think if you don't have a thousand
102. 17:19followers you're not allowed to uh so go get 1 th000 followers and come back my college is now starting a
103. 17:29Bachelor's of Science in cyber security with an emphasis using AI oh that's great far out Cindy [ __ ] I have zero followers
104. 17:39perfect you're right where you need to be that's awesome anyway but yeah like these these tools [Applause]

125. 20:40this is scary stuff it's profound stuff right might it might take my job you know it is definitely going to transform
126. 20:49your job and it might take your job and if you get on board with it and learn it you're going to be able to you
127. 20:57know you're going to be much more more in control of your destiny than if you sit on the sidelines being afraid but
128. 21:01like having empathy is important gratitude so anyway check that [ __ ] out then what else is worth looking at
129. 21:09um you should introduce yourself so so one of the things that I deeply deeply believe can you cover the keyboard hard
130. 21:15to read yes sorry um one of the things that I deeply deeply believe is um being in a community like the AI
131. 21:33Salon over the next three years is actually going to be really critical to um to the future of work for us
132. 21:43individually and collectively um I think I think we're moving over the next three years from a world where we hire hire
133. 21:51people for their skills like you can do this you can do that you're a copywriter you know Photoshop you know this skill you know that
134. 21:59skill where the tools are going to get better and better so that every person is going to be able to effectively do
135. 22:06every skill so you're going to assume that anyone that you hire can do something can do the thing you need them
136. 22:12to do and then a whole lot more and why you're going to hire them is not because they know the skill but because of who
137. 22:19they are and how much you trust them and so by being in a community like this and engaging and you know volunteering to to
138. 22:27lead a Gil or or you know showing up to calls consistently and contributing and things like that you're going to get
139. 22:35known as someone who shows up someone who delivers someone who's got a brain on their Noggin or on their head on
140. 22:41their shoulders right and and and I think that's I think that's where where the future of work moves in terms of how
141. 22:49you get hired in the future it's going to be all about your trusted relationships so being in something like
142. 22:55the salon is way more important than just learning the skills um okay then down at the bottom of community there's this thing called

148. 24:00values that AI is going to deliver short term and by short term I mean one to three years is every company and every person has
149. 24:13decades and you know depending on the company probably you know a century um a century worth of data they
150. 24:21got decades worth of data and that data for the most part is locked away and unaccessible right it's in databases that no one uses anymore
151. 24:33it's in spreadsheets that we we fired our whole data analytics department and so I think that there is a massive opportunity for any
152. 24:48people that learn these tools well enough to help people mine mine the value and the data that they've already
153. 24:56got right so you've got you've got all these spreadsheets that have all this data that I I don't know is is valuable
154. 25:03for sales Trends or whatever it might be or or uh you know 10 years ago there was a big thing to capture best practices so
155. 25:12we captured all these audio recordings and video recordings of people sharing their best practices but nobody ever did
156. 25:19anything with them oh well give me those 10,000 PDFs and the 10,000 hours of interviews and let's just splat them
157. 25:29into an AI system and pull the stuff pull the value out of it right and if you can help do that and so that's what

172. 27:48what's that even mean I'm not very technical I didn't go to Stamford I didn't get no degree from MIT who do you think I am Kyle
173. 27:59so I have a degree in acting um where we are right now with this AI stuff if you're new to it is generative AI is not it's not the AI of
174. 28:10the past three decades generative AI chat GPT and the things that have kind of spawned because of it um mean that anyone can use these
175. 28:21incredibly powerful AI tools without having to have a math degree and my name ain't P PT modder exactly
176. 28:29and so this is my this is my three-step patented um how to get AI literate U methodology and it it only cost you

178. 28:47three-step three-step uh keys to success play solve and share and so play just literally means that like don't take AI

181. 29:24like just start playing just start playing and get curious and get adventurous and then the second one is
182. 29:30solve like once you start to understand what these tools make possible by playing with them then instead of trying
183. 29:37to figure out wait what can I do with AI which is a really overwhelming question start with problems or challenges and and it what's really
184. 29:48powerful is start with problems that other people have someone's trying to start a business someone's trying to
185. 29:53figure out I don't know how to write a really difficult letter to someone someone at work is trying to figure out
186. 29:58a marketing plan so you know things like that find a problem and then say Oh hey can I partner with you on that I want to
187. 30:07use I'm trying to learn AI let me try to help you solve that problem using AI so that's the second step start practically
188. 30:15applying it and and problem could be like really small things like I want to entertain my kids so I'm going to write
189. 30:22them a book it could be we're trying to eat better as a family so it could be make yourself a meal plan for the next
190. 30:28week and then oh here's one of my favorite things um don't know if you knew this if you download the official chat GPT app um it's it's got
191. 30:43um it's got uh GPT Vision in it and so you can you can do something like this if someone wrote out hand
192. 30:51wrote out a shopping list of here's all the crap to buy at the grocery store and you know how people do that
193. 30:58and they just remember what they remember and it's all out of order and when you're at the grocery store you're
194. 31:03all the way on the other end of the grocery store and then you find the item that was all the way back on the other
195. 31:07side and you're all right you can take a picture of your like handwritten grocery list and put upload it into chat GPT and
196. 31:15just say organize this by section of the grocery store and it'll read your handwritten note and create a shopping
197. 31:21list for you or organized by section of the grocery store it's [ __ ] brilliant right so even little problems like that
198. 31:27you can start start to you can start to think about using Ai and what it allows you to do is just get increasingly
199. 31:33Nimble with thinking about when someone has a problem you're like oh I know how we can solve that right and then the third one is
200. 31:41share and this one I can't emphasize enough it's why this channel exists it's why the salon exists it's it's something
201. 31:49that I I tell everyone I can is Learn out Loud live out loud Learn out Loud with this AI stuff so as you're learning
202. 31:58this stuff hey I was playing around with ideogram today and I made I tried to make some images and they were
203. 32:03hilariously bad look and you share that with the world and then people like oh that's cute funny haha you get thumbs up
204. 32:09and you just keep doing that hey I was playing on chat GPT today and it made this really cool table comparing these
205. 32:15two concepts and I didn't think it would know that much but it knew that much and now I'm really excited you share that
206. 32:20and what starts to happen is people start to associate you as being an expert with this stuff and I I I hear this
207. 32:28constantly in this community that the people in this community are like but I'm not an expert but anyway I'm
208. 32:34speaking in front of this big important group at my job talking about AI people will start to recognize you as an expert
209. 32:41and even though you don't feel it you actually are because if you're paying attention to this stuff at all right now
210. 32:47you're way ahead of most people on the planet and so you are a leader so if you're here if you're still there's 76
211. 32:55people in here watching a a a tubby old man trying to figure out how to use Tik Tok if you're still here that curiosity
212. 33:04is going to serve you very well so anyway so that's the three-step you know keys to AI literacy so go do that go do
213. 33:12those things um and then below that list are all the tools well like I don't know where to start Kyle where do I even
214. 33:20start start with chat GPT well why what's the big deal about chat GPT it's just the best and until further notice
215. 33:28it's just the best and then the next question will be from you should I pay the $20 yes you should pay the $20 and
216. 33:36you're like oh but Kyle how much money do you make off that $20 you're making a lot of money off my $20 right no I don't
217. 33:43work for them I don't get a commission from them I don't give a [ __ ] if you do it or not but you should do it um and
218. 33:49then you should learn all the stuff it does most people have no [ __ ] idea oh what it makes possible you know what I'm

226. 35:40co-pilot from Microsoft those are kind of the biggies and then you have the specialty ones that are Pi uh grock from
227. 35:48from xai llama 2 and po um grock still sucks but it it will probably get better at some point but they just open source
228. 35:59their their model so I have a feeling there's going to be some interesting stuff coming out of that effort um PO is also really interesting
229. 36:06lately because you can if you pay the 20 bucks a month for po they give you access even if you don't pay the 20
230. 36:12bucks you get access to lots and lots of models um like you you can play with open AI gp4 you can play with anthropics
231. 36:21Claude you can play with all the like llama and mixol and all the different open source models there's image models
232. 36:30in there so Po's really kind of interesting po po for a while I was kind of cooling down on it but they they they
233. 36:36feel like they're getting their [ __ ] together um so that's pretty interesting then there's image generation tools and
234. 36:42again there's just a ton of them there's video creation tools um and we're going to play with uh what's it called tonight
235. 36:51um LTX studio tonight which is I got access to the beta it's amazing um music and audio udio is staggeringly good 11
236. 37:00Labs that's the one that does voice synthesis so I that I assume that's the one that the guy in in North Carolina

496. 1:26:13um people are going to use AI for that kind of stuff um just like they use the internet for bad stuff and like like yes they're
497. 1:26:24going to do that now the challenge with AI being as powerful it is and quite frankly the challenge with companies like meta and X op
498. 1:26:36sourcing these increasingly powerful models is that you know the bad guys with the AI um there's going to be more of them
499. 1:26:49because right now if you want to do serious hacking I I might not not even be able to say this out loud this so if
500. 1:26:56the if the Tik Tok goes off I got to I got to ban but if you want to do bad stuff with computers right now you have
501. 1:27:02to be really capable right you have to not only be an engineer but you have to be a hacker like you have to be good at
502. 1:27:08this [ __ ] like and really understand vulnerabilities and and and the depth of right and there's a code to hacking and
503. 1:27:15there's like just it's like a whole world it's a whole ecosystem what AI does is just like it democratizes art and music and writing
504. 1:27:28and Analysis and coding it's also going to democratize hacking so the barriers to entry for people that can do real damage with
505. 1:27:39hacking are being obliterated right so that's kind of scary but the counter to it is that the white ha hackers also have more powerful tools
506. 1:27:52and that's also being democratized so the battle that you had between white and black hat hackers there's just going
507. 1:27:59to be more of them and but there's going to be more of them with super powerful tools that are clueless about the whole
508. 1:28:05sort of ecosystem so I think like everything AI is going to transform that job right the eliteness of a worldclass
509. 1:28:19hacker is going to be diminished as more and more people get access to tools and can do things oh I'm a cyber security
510. 1:28:27engineer so okay there you go so there there's a white hat there's a white hat hacker right there um that's super cool
511. 1:28:35yeah I I mean I like I I find that that whole thing fascinating that CU cuz it's very easy to go to the place that like
512. 1:28:43you know people are going to be just doing all sorts of bad [ __ ] with AI but then you're like okay the cyber security
513. 1:28:50folks are going to be able to take these tools and do some crazy ass [ __ ] to find out who they are and it's I yeah I I
514. 1:28:57would imagine that is a not only a fascinating area to be in right now but I think job security for the next 30 Years is pretty much
515. 1:29:11guaranteed cyber security is you know if there's an area you want to go get AI literate and go into cyber security
516. 1:29:19because that's going to be a Battleground for decades right it's it always has been anyway but man with AI when you democratize that
517. 1:29:29[ __ ] I've had AI write me scripts to test network security but so can a human yeah but the scale the scale and speed
518. 1:29:36you can do it with AI is the thing that I think changes there and again I I go back to you know if you're if you're
519. 1:29:42moving from a world where in a million people 10 of them can be elite hackers in an AI enabled world out of
520. 1:29:53that million ion people a thousand of a thousand people that are just curious about hacking can do some real damage
521. 1:30:00right like so I think the scale starts to shift as the tools get especially as we move into um AI systems that have
522. 1:30:08autonomous agents and reasoning where they get better and better and better and they can iterate on problem solving
523. 1:30:14then I think we start to get into into some real some real deep Waters with the with the security stuff and the fraud stuff
524. 1:30:22and again I think I think you know on the on the public facing side of AI You've Got Deep fakes and fraud there
525. 1:30:30that are going to drive us toward blockchain and tokenization and then I think on the security side you've got
526. 1:30:35all this sort of stuff that's probably going to drive us to some sort of you know something about you know
527. 1:30:40tokenization and security like you know Finding increasingly walled off areas of data I don't know I don't know it's it's
528. 1:30:49crazy can you brief briefly repeat that of cyber security and AI um I don't quite know what I said because add um so what I was just saying
529. 1:31:01was if you take a million people and I don't I'm just pulling the numbers out of my ass so so these are just
530. 1:31:07illustrative right if you take a million people pre AI in that million people there might be a hundred hackers with nefarious intent
531. 1:31:20and then within those hundred hackers out of the million there's probably 10 that are really really good at it right
532. 1:31:27and they're the ones that can do the real damage and ransomware and things like that and I those numbers might be
533. 1:31:33wrong but it's a it's a relatively small group of people that are at an elite enough level that they can navigate you
534. 1:31:40know high security systems and and get through things social engineer and all sorts of [ __ ] with AI that hundred people that fancy
535. 1:31:51themselves hackers probably goes from 100 to a, it so what happens is as the AI tools get more sophisticated and
536. 1:32:00easier to use if you can just say I want to go find any computer systems that have a vulnerability and you've got a system
537. 1:32:10that's got good reasoning and can go do all that Elite hacker stuff for you then instead of having 10 people that can do
538. 1:32:17some real damage now you have a thousand right out of that million you've gone from 10 people to a, people right and
539. 1:32:26then but you but those thousand people are going to be not nearly as sophisticated as the 10 so the cyber
540. 1:32:32security people are probably going to be able to you know battle them a bit better but but it's like that that
541. 1:32:38changes there's a competition between white hat and Bad Hat hackers black black hat hackers both are learning AI
542. 1:32:45to compete and that's how it's always been hacker Malang it's it's it's always been right the the reason to hack right is
543. 1:32:57to part of it is to get the street cred right part of it is like you know I [ __ ] took that system down and you know lately with with with

587. 1:40:41remember um what I like about what I what I like about the way they did memory it looks like they've done it in a fairly sophisticated
588. 1:40:51way it's in intellig intelligent intelligent about where it's adding if you add something to a memory it already

631. 1:47:44work like if you if you were at the salon when Kelly Bosch came and and shared her work she makes images in mid
632. 1:47:51Journey she makes like thousand of them and then she goes and picks her best ones and puts them in kind of a timeline
633. 1:47:57and then she throws music behind it and then she oh no then she takes them over to Runway and she animates them and then
634. 1:48:04she sticks them in a timeline Sticks music behind them pulls pulls things out it's a very manual process so this thing allows you to like
635. 1:48:15automatically do that with just a prompt a single prompt and you get this really sophisticated timeline with all sorts of
636. 1:48:22control on it so one way to look at this is just as a Storyteller the other way to look at this is what they did was they took a
637. 1:48:32framework a storytelling framework and they said hey if we were to combine a bunch of Auto prompting to different AI tools like an
638. 1:48:43image generator an animation maker a large language model and maybe some other things when someone gives us a prompt we
639. 1:48:52could just start with an outline and then out of that outline we could make scenes and within those scenes we could
640. 1:48:59make shots and within the the shots we could have characters and so now we can have a character section so there this
641. 1:49:08is basically just like a a whole collection of AI prompts really well organized so I look at this tool and I
642. 1:49:19sort of see the future of software in a lot of ways where I could see there being a version of this for Consulting I
643. 1:49:26could see there being a version of this for public relations I could see there being a version of this for software
644. 1:49:31development this just happens to be a storytelling version of this so and if you looked at the even though the the
645. 1:49:38Devon demo was was [ __ ] and it's you know it's not going to be done for a bit you know um Devon that that coding tool
646. 1:49:48that that had all the four different modules was kind of a version of this as well so so this is kind of a until true
647. 1:49:56Agents come out that do all this stuff in the background this is software developers sort of turning a series of

670. 1:54:30critically all right so I'm going to say start and so now what it does now that we've got consistent characters and we
671. 1:54:36have the basic story now it writes the outline for the scenes and then it writes the shots for the scenes and it's
672. 1:54:43just going to go build all this [ __ ] and it's probably G to take forever oh no there we go okay so scene setting abandoned Factory
