3. 0:44um I am an entrepreneur and we talk about things Ai and I've also got a an AI Salon that meets every other week
4. 0:58our next meetings next Tuesday the information's there and if you go to Twitter that everyday AI news that's a
5. 1:04newsletter that I've got we've got threads we put up there about interesting news and we've got a Weekly
6. 1:10Newsletter that uh can prove helpful so if you're interested in that kind of stuff check it out and if you have questions about AI pop
7. 1:21them in the comments below I will do my best to answer what I can uh I will be a smartass I will probably cuss a little because you know
8. 1:32I get fired up about this AI stuff some of you more practical types are probably thinking sir what are your qualifications well
9. 1:43I am not a machine learning scientist I am not a data scientist but I've started I don't know 15 companies in my day uh
10. 1:53I've been doing this entrepreneur thing for a while I was there for the early days of the World Wide Web
11. 1:59I'm a proud gen xer which I don't know what that means just that I'm bitter bitter you betcha and uh I started one of the early uh digital
12. 2:08agencies company called agency.com back in 1994. that was probably uh a few years before most you were born except for you
13. 2:18Elder talk people it's uh I'm living here in Denver it's starting to thunderstorm like I don't know for the
14. 2:25past month we're getting afternoon thunder showers it's like we're living in Florida I don't know what's going on
15. 2:30uh anyway what what's it say more oh more likes can attract more viewers so I double tap that screen I guess that'll
16. 2:38give you more likes that'll attract more viewers um if you're new here my name is Kyle Shannon this is the AI learning lab I
17. 2:44like talking about um AI stuff so pop questions in the comments below I'll be sure to answer them and um some information
18. 2:56I guess I guess every oops every good meeting starts with what do they call it let's get the uh let's get to bookkeeping out of the way
19. 3:04so let's get the bookkeeping out of the way this is the AI learning lab uh the salon is a community of
20. 3:12curious people trying to figure out what the hell is going on with this AI stuff um every day I news is my newsletter and let me
21. 3:24turn that stuff off and turn this stuff on oops everything is in the wrong place so professional operation okay
22. 3:36so if you're new to ai go to that top URL chat.openai.com that's the official chatgpt website go there and start playing um
23. 3:46I'll talk about that I'll show you how to do plugins I'll show you I'll answer anything you want to know about that the
24. 3:51next thing down there bing.com is that's Microsoft search engine but they have a um what's it called if they have a chat
25. 4:01button if you click the chat button that's actually chatgpt4 connected to the internet that you can use for free
26. 4:07and then poe.com was one where you can play with a lot of different models the other two are just resources I think don't suck
27. 4:15and so that's fun and I'm going to move these things down I can probably do it faster than that yeah there we go
28. 4:24now let me go back over here yeah it's pretty good all right so we'll do this we'll make this bigger I'll do this we'll do this
29. 4:37is that working don't mind me while I figure this crap out on your dime but you know it's free Tick Tock gives us this for free um Okay so
30. 4:50let's see comments how is AI changing the trading Market as a day trader and if you have any platforms to watch out for
31. 5:01the the world of trading but I do know that um chechi PT is really good at coding and understanding trading platforms and
32. 5:12trading methodologies and creating trading Bots and taking trading bucks from your platform of choice and
33. 5:20writing you new ones and if you've never done that if you've never seen chat EBT do its thing with code let's just we'll
34. 5:27pop over here and I'll I'll show you some stuff so so most of my answers involve some version of go try chat gbt
35. 5:36because it's incredibly capable so uh so I'm going to say Act as a day trading expert and that little tip of telling Church apt to act as
36. 5:50something actually does make a difference act as a day trading expert and um tell me how you might help me program a trading bot
37. 6:07let's see what it says here gpt4 has been a little slow lately all right uh gives this the obligatory I'm not a
38. 6:21licensed financial advisor but here you go Define your strategy choose your programming language set up your development environment
39. 6:35connect create anxiety stop I'm going to say stop okay um is there a trading platform that has um trading Bots
40. 6:52I can just have you program or modify but if I see what it says there are several trading platforms
41. 7:08[Music] so metatrader so you probably know this better than I do but basically if you can do trading Bots within your platform you can copy
42. 7:24and paste them so you can say write me trading but with stop losses and triggers um for meta
43. 7:40Trader see what it does creating a trading bot involves writing code in mql4 or mql5 please note this is a very basic example
44. 7:55and may not be profitable and so there it is and I'm actually doing this in gpt4 which is a little
45. 8:09slower let me stop it here I'm going to actually flip over to GPT 3.5 because it's much faster make me a met meta Trader Trading
46. 8:25um but with a conservative set of triggers and stop losses and I mistyped that really poorly
47. 8:39[Laughter] chat you PT servers must be getting hammered there's too many day Traders making trading Bots apparently
48. 8:50foreign so that seems to be stuck we'll let it fail for a second and then I'll I'll come back over all right let me
49. 8:57answer another question in the meantime I'll come back to that Kyle for president you just let's do this watch out
50. 9:04that would be a fun presidency we wouldn't get [ __ ] done but we'd have a lot of fun doing it all right I was looking for a network

54. 10:00um it is it is completely impossible to keep up with all the tools that are being launched on a daily basis so the reason I put this
55. 10:11futurepedia.io here is there's all sorts of tools so I would go there and look up Financial AI tools and there are
56. 10:19probably some that specialize in Bots but if if you haven't been playing with the with chat gbt and you want to play
57. 10:25with Bots that's a perfect kind of project to learn chat GPT on because it's incredibly incredibly capable I was
58. 10:33looking at terms of service for mid-journey it says they own the license for all the images I'm not sure about
59. 10:38that does that limit the use of those images uh if if that's what it says like with with all legal stuff I would
60. 10:45consult your lawyer if you're looking to do stuff for um for commercial purposes um start using Adobe Firefly and generative
61. 10:56fill within Photoshop because they have explicitly trained the Firefly model on public domain images and Adobe stock
62. 11:05images they own all the rights to so they're making it safe for commercial use and it's pretty good the tools are pretty good um
63. 11:15so so definitely use Adobe um and yeah check with your lawyers because I ain't a lawyer I have a degree
64. 11:23in acting and if you pay attention to me for legal advice you don't want that by the way if you're a lawyer and you're
65. 11:37giving out legal advice and you use chat gbt proofread your stupid work because there was a lawyer last week that um
66. 11:47that put in a legal brief to a judge that he had written in um Chachi BT and didn't check his work and the judge was like these citations
67. 11:58are all fake what's up with that all right what company has the best chance of dominating the AI Fields good Lord there's a question
68. 12:13well open AI has a good chance at it because they're helping to Define this new burgeoning um you know Chachi pt-centric World
69. 12:25um Microsoft is doing pretty good right now Google is struggling but I wouldn't count them out because they've got more
70. 12:31money than you know all the companies put together um that's probably not true don't call me on that I'm being hyperbolic people
71. 12:39hyperbolic do you know what that means neither do I so go to chatgpt and ask it what hyperbolic means
72. 12:46have it write you a poem on the meaning of hyperbolic or a song do I always talk like this no sometimes Maybe do you pay for GPT I do so
73. 13:00if you pay for chat GPT let me flip my camera by the way Tick Tock took away my dual camera and I'm bitter about it
74. 13:08all right if you pay for chat GPT then when you go to chat.openai.com you kind of have these two options here
75. 13:16you've got GPT 3.5 that's that's the the I guess GPT light Chachi Beauty light but it's really fast uh although tonight they both seem slow
76. 13:27and then there's gpt4 and gpt4 is the one that's really really good but also you get browse with Bing so that's GPT
77. 13:35connected to the internet and you get plug-ins and plugins are little extensions to GPT that are super cool like I've I have two of them
78. 13:45connected here one's called prompt perfect one's called read my PDF ask your PDF and I think I'll turn on one other wait I don't see
79. 13:54it here hang on plugin I don't have it let me go find it so we're going to go over here to the plug-in store so so when you have
80. 14:07plugins there's a plug-in store it takes a while to load and then if you say oh let's see how many are there tonight 111 pages of four
81. 14:15each so 444 plugins so it is growing on a daily basis oh I've got web pilot installed okay let's go back I'm going to turn on web pilot um
82. 14:30where was it how did I miss it because I'm a dum dum dum dum dum dum dum dum web pilot okay I'm going to turn on web pilot ask your PDF and
83. 14:41um what's that thing oh prompt perfect so prompt perfect so so the way these the way these plugins work is you kind
84. 14:47of just GPT is normal and then depending on what you type and what plugins you have activated it will fire off one of those plugins so
85. 14:57um one of them I have turned on here is called prompt perfect so if you type the word perfect before your prompt and then you type
86. 15:05um right let's see write me um the opening paragraph to my great American novel
87. 15:22I like uh let's see I like flowery Pros and it's
88. 15:36about a guy who becomes an influencer at 58. so now what it's going to do is it's
89. 15:52gonna fire off the prompt perfect plug-in and if you would with these plugins you can kind of open them up and see what
90. 15:59they're doing so it took my prompt it sent it off and then it rewrote the prompt so please craft an opening paragraph from a great
91. 16:07American novel to Showcase an eloquent and ornate writing style the novel sensors around a protagonist who at the age of 58
92. 16:15unexpectedly Rises to famous social media influencer I am seeking a vivid and captivating introduction right so it
93. 16:24rewrites it that's a that's a that's a swell prompt let's see in the Twilight of his years no I'm not
94. 16:33a Twilight of my years that is offensive when most men find solace in the quietude of retirement what was this written in 1892
95. 16:42a man of 58 Winters found himself on the precipice of a new dawn his life once a symphony of routine predictability this
96. 16:51doesn't know me very well at all so anyway that's how that's how plugins work so I do pay for chat GPT
97. 16:58and that's why I pay for it because it can it can write normally it writes flattering things about me but that was
98. 17:04good Lord in the in the Twilight of his years does this look like Twilight of my years good people I don't know if you've heard this Butch
99. 17:17EBT hallucinates so it's hallucinating that's not real I'm not in the Twilight of my years but I'm thirsty it's raining
100. 17:27the Denver Nuggets are world champions they did a big parade today jokic was like I didn't want to come to the
101. 17:33[ __ ] parade but now I love this [ __ ] parade you guys are [ __ ] awesome it was great all right if you have questions about AI

106. 18:14Google Sheets secure I don't know I assume so because you're using your own key but is it possible they've done a
107. 18:22nefarious thing there it's possible I suppose I don't know what the security um Protocols are for creating a Google
108. 18:29extension if you're really concerned about that I would wait Google has announced they're going to roll GPT or
109. 18:36Bard into all of The Office Products and micro not Microsoft has announced the same for for Microsoft co-pilot which is
110. 18:44gpt4 that's going to get rolled out across office 365. the one that I've used for for Google Sheets is called GPT for Sheets
111. 18:56um but there's probably a bunch of them now because this stuff has gotten so popular like it's it's essentially
112. 19:01impossible to find the official chat GPT app and the IOS app store so if you want to actually use the official app go to
113. 19:10openai.com and go to their products and chat GPT and then click on their link to the App Store but what I do on my mobile
114. 19:19devices I just go to I go to wait for it they killed my double camera so this makes me cranky I go to that top URL right there on my
115. 19:31phone chat.openai.com that's the official website so raffle well chat gbt is very young so it's 58 years old yeah
116. 19:39exactly I can't believe these people in the Twilight of his life Twilight Twilight wasn't that it's a Jim Gaffigan joke
117. 19:49Twitter was it Twinkies no it wasn't Twinkies I don't know he's got some sort of joke where he over over enunciate some word
118. 19:56and it's very very funny all right uh that's me what's you is there a plug-in extension for Google Sheets oh is it secure that's where I
119. 20:08was okay so I don't know um but I've used the one called GPT for sheets but you could also just wait um if you're good at um
120. 20:19if you're good at uh spreadsheets the the GPT extensions are insanely powerful they really are you can put in one word
121. 20:28in a spreadsheet and they'll just like Auto populate the whole spreadsheet with a series of cascading calls to open AI it's pretty amazing
122. 20:37you want to generate some synthetic data or you want to generate um you know all the execution of a social media campaign out it goes
123. 20:46pulling a topic from the news or just type in a topic and just let it go write a bunch of stuff for you I asked about a novel about the bite
124. 20:55about Biden family bribery okay awesome but please keep politics out of here because I don't want to get booted and I
125. 21:01don't really give a [ __ ] and I hate the divisiveness in our country so I don't want to talk about it
126. 21:06uh Symphony of routine I know offensive off the bat exactly why light of his life Twilight of his life I am vital all right
127. 21:21how can you make money with cheche EBT step one don't listen to people that go you've got my money here's the thing to understand chat EPT
128. 21:32is just a tool it's just a tool so so the answer to how do you make money with chat GPT is the same as the
129. 21:40answer to how do you make money with Photoshop or how do you make money with a frying pan or a muffin tin or uh uh Microsoft Word
130. 21:52you figure out a way to use those tools in such a way that it solves a problem for people good enough that they're
131. 21:57willing to pay for it that's business in general all right I don't sound 58 thank you very much I appreciate that yeah I'll tell you yeah
132. 22:08oh get off my lawn I will not be twerking because I am in the Twilight of my existence uh were you the one asking for the
133. 22:20ornate writing it was ornate it I to be fair I did ask it well no wait let's go back to that let's hang on I don't think

144. 24:11vibrant heart of his middle years um but that's actually a good lesson if chatgpt gives you something that you don't like fix the prompt
145. 24:20tell it you don't like it tell it why you don't like it and it will adjust it it's job it's programmed to give you
146. 24:26what you want and it tends to be pretty good at that nuggets all right who would have thought I love it how do I make a team Grand a week
147. 24:37using AI you can make money I don't know have it write you a hundred t-shirts and then go do print on demand have it write
148. 24:48you a hundred posters and go make them in canva and sell them on Etsy like have it write you a book to tell other people
149. 24:54how to make money and then you can make a tick tock where you go that's probably the way to make money without that
150. 25:05and if your question is how many times do you make that joke a night 30. if your other question is will you ever stop um
151. 25:23uh please can you explain the new functions in chat EBT I think I just did uh if you have a specific one
152. 25:31can you use the plugins with chat EBT free you cannot but Microsoft has said they're going to support plugins um the the
153. 25:41open AI plugins so so these plugins are going to be like the App Store you're going to be using you're going to be able to use them in a lot
154. 25:47except probably not the Google chat bot Bard but Bard sucks right now um so that doesn't matter some people
155. 25:57like Bard the the people that use it for coding say it's pretty good but for writing it is poo poo it is stinky like
156. 26:03doggy poo all right can you use plugins with GPT three three no um AI learning lab what application of AI are you most excited about hmm
157. 26:15I think it would have to be chechi BT um because so for me Chachi BT is the it's the equivalent of the World Wide
158. 26:25Web so so I started one of the early digital agencies in mid 94. um when the World Wide Web first came
159. 26:32out and so the world wide web made this thing called the internet that was previously just used by scientists and
160. 26:39researchers and universities they kind of made it available to the rest of us and I I you know I I was lucky enough to be in New York
161. 26:47City when that came out and you know surrounded myself with enough of the right people that you know I got a
162. 26:53chance to to do a lot of really exciting stuff in web development for you know in the early part of that industry and
163. 27:01chat CPT is a very very similar it's a very parallel kind of product where you know machine learning and ai's been around for decades
164. 27:12and even though things like mid-journey and stable diffusion and gpt3 were were you know being talked about it didn't
165. 27:19really Catch Fire and then November 30th 2022 chat or open AI launches chat GPT and it gets to a hundred million users in six
166. 27:28weeks I don't know if you know that fastest adoption of technology in history the World Wide Web it took six
167. 27:35years to get to 100 million users Chachi BT is six weeks so there's lots of exciting things going on like it like I would say it it
168. 27:47it depends on like I've written seven screenplays I like writing I like words and chat GPT in particular lets you
169. 27:54wield your words and get incredibly powerful things back so the the idea of sort of crafting with words like you're
170. 28:03programming with your native language in my case English and it's kind of like programming with English so so it's pretty cool you don't
171. 28:11really need to know a lot of syntax you just need to have good ideas and put them in there um but but there's really exciting
172. 28:17things going on with video like with runwayml with with Gen 1 and gen 2. um mid-journey is just freakishly good
173. 28:27um Adobe Firefly is powerful because it's commercial ready like they're making it safe for businesses to use
174. 28:33generative AI which that's a big deal I people don't think it but it's there's a there's a big ugliness in the
175. 28:43creative Community because of the nature of how these models are trained where the like they're stealing my images if
176. 28:49you actually understand how these tools work they're not copying and pasting so it's not really stealing it images but
177. 28:56it is strongly influencing the output on you know copywritten work and so Adobe has end run that by creating a model
178. 29:06that's not trained like that which is super smart so that's exciting and then the other thing that's really exciting
179. 29:12is the whole open source Community open source large language models so so before meta released their llama models Into the Wild
180. 29:22everything was behind firewalls right open AI had theirs Google had theirs meta had theirs and then meta just snuck
181. 29:30their models out there and apparently I think today they said they've got a new one out that's better than GPT 3.5 that
182. 29:38they're going to open source so the open source stuff's really really cool as well um welcome everyone if you're new here

202. 32:37because sometimes it'll get it'll get some things right and then it'll just blow a bunch of sunshine up your ass

211. 34:15and we're gonna go to browse with Bing so we're going to go to GPT connected to the internet so this is one of the things you'll see
212. 34:21the base model of chat GPT is only trained up to September 2021 so the one of the options you get with GPT plus

277. 45:08chat window and start interacting with it so you could paste an entire screenplay or an entire novel or a two
278. 45:15or three hour transcript from a meeting into the thing and it won't choke and then Claude instant and chat GPT are
279. 45:22also there the other thing that Poe does is you can create um Bots like I created a Yoda bot and a sling blade bot and a Shakespeare bot
280. 45:32and then these are some mid-journey Bots that someone else created where if you type in um you you want a picture of something it

303. 49:08Ansel Adams GTO Judge the other thing you'll notice when these things are generating images they start out as kind
304. 49:13of these blurry messes and then they just get more and more like what you described and that's how they work it's
305. 49:19called a diffusion model and these things start out as kind of this noisy average of like thousands of images and
306. 49:26then it denoises that averaged image into individual images so it's actually creating original content every time it generates an image
307. 49:36and let's see boom there we are they don't look super photographic and none of them really look like a GTO
308. 49:46Judge so let's go copy well it doesn't matter anyway but you get the basic idea the other thing that happens with
309. 49:52mid-journer you see these U's and V's uh the user upscaled the Visa variation so this is one two three four the four
310. 50:00different images so if I like let's say like the lower left one is the one that is the closest to looking like a judge
311. 50:07looks like a Pontiac really but that's number three so I can go give me variations of the the third one
312. 50:15and now it'll it'll give me four up that are just all variations of that basic layout and so it might give me something
313. 50:21that looks closer to a GTO Judge and there's probably ways that I've done it before where you can prompt it in a
314. 50:29certain way that'll it'll give you a really good um good image in this case it's not those are all kind of the same
315. 50:39um but that's mid-journey and it's not that's not a particularly impressive example because it it didn't really
316. 50:46capture what we wanted but it's a pretty Dynamic black and white image I don't know that it's Ansel Adams looking

329. 52:47made the cover of the New York Times uh so and and she told him her name was Sydney so Sydney made the cover of the
330. 52:55New York Times so Sydney got lobotomized so they're still catching up all right I think anyone who's studying and playing
331. 53:01around can become the industry's top resource I think that's absolutely right uh creating AI Bots yeah yeah yeah yeah

377. 59:06the someone else could be a community group it could be your family it could be your work um it just could be a friend
378. 59:13um where you solve a problem with them using chat EBT so that was step one of the challenge step two of the challenge
379. 59:19was make 10 images using prompts right so go to bing.com create or figure out mid-journey or stable diffusion or
380. 59:29there's just all sorts of tools out there to play and just make 10 images why make 10 images well because if you haven't experienced it it's
381. 59:40pretty insane right like let's let's go let's go do one um so I'll do one of the free ones I'm gonna hop over to bing.com
382. 59:53and so if you haven't been to bing.com it's just like a normal search engine when you get there but in the top
383. 59:59there's a chat button if you click the chat button that takes you to this which is gpt4 connected to the
384. 1:00:06internet for free so that's pretty cool but if if you go to bing.com create it's an image generator that you can use for free
385. 1:00:18and you can just type in let's see um fuzzy teddy bear hiking near a cliff overlooking and
386. 1:00:35idyllic Valley and I spelled a delicrung but I don't care the other thing you can make massive typos with these large language models
387. 1:00:45and they don't care they're smart enough to figure out what the hell you were talking about and so so now it's going to go off and
388. 1:00:51there's like there we go there's our teddy bear you know overlooking an idyllic Valley like that's pretty flipping solid so if you haven't
389. 1:00:58experienced this if you haven't experience like well but it's probably just copying pasting stuff no it's
390. 1:01:03generating original images and like when you when you get you know like look at that come on um so that's the the second um
391. 1:01:15the second step of the 2023 smart challenge is make 10 images so one of your projects could be have chat CPT

439. 1:07:38so for chat GPT Plus so that little or that little yellow flag is twenty dollars a month and then what you do is you go to your
440. 1:07:48settings this is important and you go to Beta features so this is only if you've got plus you'll see this beta features
441. 1:07:57and then there's two options here browse with Bing and plugins so you turn them both on and then what you get is you have GPT
442. 1:08:043.5 which is fast it's wicked fast when the servers aren't overloaded and you've got gpt4 and there's default which is
443. 1:08:12the normal gpt4 then you have connected to the internet gpt4 and you have plugins and so when you go to plugins the way they work
444. 1:08:22think of a plug-in as like an extension um to some other webs web service uh for that session you can activate up to
445. 1:08:33three see right here where it says three of three enabled so you can turn them on and off and and so you're only enabling them per session
446. 1:08:40but you can install lots of them and then there are way more than you have installed off in the store so if you
447. 1:08:48scroll to the bottom you go to the plugin store yeah you know there's literally you know 111 pages of four up in my case
448. 1:09:00um and you can search you could you could search for things like uh research and there's you know get your guide and then I think I've got
449. 1:09:12trips.com trip.com in here so I've enabled three plugins that are all travel related so I'll be like um make me a day trip in Denver

482. 1:14:32the market leader by a lot chat apt is not like that if you give it sort of a shitty concise prompt it will give you a generic shitty
483. 1:14:43answer and that's that's why I think a lot of people's initial response to it is like gave me a dumb thing it was

506. 1:17:45completely transformed voice over and voice synthesis being completely transformed game developments being
507. 1:17:52completely transformed words are being completely transformed medical like there there was a dude in Italy I've
508. 1:17:59talked about this on my lives before this guy in Italy has been paralyzed for 12 years they used a large language
509. 1:18:04model to look at MRI brain scans fmri brain scans of his brain when he was thinking about moving his legs
510. 1:18:12and they created a Bluetooth jumper that jumped that took the signals from his brain when he thought about moving
511. 1:18:20his legs Bluetooth it down to electrodes at the base of his spine and he's now walking so it's almost like every single place
512. 1:18:31that there can be Innovation these tools are being aimed at them and the the the the the innovation curve is like doing this because now
513. 1:18:42they're starting to use AI tools to amplify AI tools and then they're adding those tools to new tools and so it's
514. 1:18:49it's doing this so it's it's it's impossible to comprehend what's going to happen when I like I don't know I like I I
515. 1:18:59like I've got a newsletter like weekly we try to keep track of what's going on and it's like it's exhausting um
516. 1:19:12I mean we've now done I think four issues where the the main theme of the issue is this was probably one of the most
517. 1:19:23significant weeks of like advancement in human history we've had like four of those but it's just like we just keep knocking
518. 1:19:32it off one one after the other keeps growing so I don't know where to go for stable diffusion with my
519. 1:19:39own videos well if you want to do videos um so so here's the deal with stable diffusion what I would do is I would go
520. 1:19:46to the uh stable diffusion subreddit so reddit.com whatever R stable diffusion I don't know just go just go to Google and search for
521. 1:19:56um Reddit stable diffusion there's a whole community in there they'll point you to all the different projects stable
522. 1:20:03diffusion right now requires you to be a little geeky like you probably need to get a Google collab up and running it

525. 1:20:29some flavors of stable diffusion where you can do video but if you want to do video go also check out runwayml gen 1
526. 1:20:36and Gen 2 where you can take a little chunk of video and sort of remix it using gen 1 or you can do text to video gen 2. um

651. 1:40:20of the Transformer and it's the thing that allows these machine learning models to be trained on massive data sets it's like
652. 1:40:27the more data you throw at them and the more compute power you throw at them they get better and better and better
653. 1:40:32and it's responsible for how mid-journey works and how all the music things work and how chat GPT works and all that sort
654. 1:40:39of stuff the ironic thing about it is Google invents it and then I think they quickly realize that if we make this
655. 1:40:47thing it will fundament fundamentally threaten our search business because their entire business is predicated on them not giving you the
656. 1:40:57answer their business is basically dependent on them giving you 40 answers and having you click on 38 of them
657. 1:41:06that's how they make their money so if you create a tool that just gives you the answer it kind of [ __ ] up the SEO game so they
658. 1:41:18shelved it I assume but the paper was out there so the entire so so open AI takes this Transformer thing and they make gpt1 and
659. 1:41:30then they make gpt2 and then they make gpt3 and all of a sudden gpt3 comes out in like 2020 is like good enough that like I started

664. 1:42:16the [ __ ] do we do now I think they called it a red alert at Google because they realized the genie is out of the [ __ ] bottle
665. 1:42:25and people noticed a hundred million of them in six weeks fastest adoption of technology in history so I would say the
666. 1:42:32Transformer is the one and the fact that Google is now struggling to play catch-up is just mind-boggling to me now might they catch

705. 1:48:11good at it hallucinates do your [ __ ] homework proofread your [ __ ] check your sources it's really good so this stuff's not going away
706. 1:48:24um do you have any AI tools to help with businesses chat GPT you can make money um chat gbt is a good one zapier to do
707. 1:48:34automations for business where you can create you know like a when someone types something in this slack Channel
708. 1:48:40take what they type in there send it to open AI do some research send that back to the slack Channel like you can do stuff like
709. 1:48:47that with zapier um it depends what the business is quite honestly but but I would just start with basic just start understanding chat gbt

714. 1:49:35of Mastery of something it takes you ten thousand hours kind of cuts that down to like somewhere between two hours and a thousand hours
715. 1:49:47like you can get masterful at [ __ ] like like if I wanted to be a python programmer I have ADHD so I couldn't be
716. 1:49:53like I just don't have the I just don't have the mental I don't I don't have the exactly my frontal lobes are essentially
717. 1:49:59non-functional right so my ability to sit down for more than you know 45 minutes and and code something you
718. 1:50:08know my I would just smack my face into the desk but with chat GPT I can write full-on python applications decently complicated ones what
719. 1:50:21how's that even possible just this like that's like the the depth of the tool is staggering right so so a way to think about it is this
720. 1:50:34what are the challenges in your business and then start interacting with chat GPT to start solving those challenges just
721. 1:50:40pick one challenge one problem and then have chat GPT like think of it less like a tool that's going to solve your problem and more like
722. 1:50:49um a collaborator a co-founder that is going to help you that you're going to work together with that co-founder and it's just going to give
723. 1:50:58you lots of good ideas and feedback and you're going to solve that problem start with that pick pick any random problem
724. 1:51:03that you're facing in your business right now and start interacting with it like a co-founder and you'll see can you
725. 1:51:10upload your own images to Bing and have it improve or edit I don't think so right now you can do that on mid-journey
726. 1:51:17you can certainly do that on stable diffusion with control net and with dream Booth but you got to really geek out with that [ __ ] um

731. 1:52:16but but Google just announced this this is from Google research so they created this thing called style drop and
732. 1:52:25so what it does is you upload one image like this is a little kid's drawing of these little flowers here to the left
733. 1:52:31all of these images to the right are text prompt generated images where it copies the style of of a single image
734. 1:52:40and then basically reinterprets everything from color scheme to style of drawing with text prompts right so so take note
735. 1:52:49I'm going to go through some examples here take note of like the the F1 car the Hat the moose the robot in the lower left hand corner
736. 1:52:58so see how they're drawn right now so now I'm going to go the next example is um Van Gogh Starry Starry Night and
737. 1:53:07or I guess it's a village in oh yeah yeah starry starry night um or it might be some other piece but
738. 1:53:14it's basically that but like look at the hat look at the moose look at the F1 car like this looks like a turn of the
739. 1:53:20century Van Gogh interpretation of a race car right the robot is like this weird humanoid dude so we'll keep going
740. 1:53:30they have a bunch of Van Gogh in here um but like check this one out this is like that icon style from the 90s
741. 1:53:39like one image with like an iPhone with a dude coming out of it look what it did to the Moose in the Hat and the robot
742. 1:53:47yeah exactly like all the hearts are flying up the screen like your mind is blown right like this is insanity like
743. 1:53:53this is coming this is the [ __ ] that's coming I mean if you're an illustrator you're like [ __ ] what do I do with this I don't know
744. 1:54:04but if you're if you're someone who wants to get an idea out of their head now you can like instantly look at this
745. 1:54:12one this one blows my mind they take like like this cut out with drop Shadows like a sticker of a pine tree
746. 1:54:20and it somehow captures the essence of the illustration style including the drop shadow and the little white cutout thing I don't know

757. 1:56:22machine learning and AI was for scientists and researchers to AI is there for the rest of us that's the the
758. 1:56:32inflection point is chat GPT and the parallels are kind of insane and that's that's what this channel is about is

765. 1:57:31when it comes to these image generation tools mid-journey is by far the best um stabled a few well I don't know if
766. 1:57:37it's the best aesthetically for me mid journey is way better from a feature standpoint stable diffusion has the entire development
767. 1:57:48Community pouring all of their resources into developing interfaces and tools and plugins and things like control net that
768. 1:57:55make things really powerful so stable diffusion is a lot more flexible a lot more powerful and you can get it to do
769. 1:58:03sort of super high quality like like this image this image was done in stable diffusion so and you know I think this is beautiful
770. 1:58:18like this is an image that when I saw it I like had an emotional visceral reaction um like if I had the technical skill this is the
771. 1:58:28kind of thing I would create by hand and stable diffusion just did it so stable diffusion can be really good but you
772. 1:58:34need to you pretty much need to be a geek to use it right now um and Dolly's kind of kind of the the poo poo version right now some people
773. 1:58:44love Dali but it's just if you use these if you use these tools it's not as good the the other major player in the image
774. 1:58:51generation is Adobe right now so so their Adobe Firefly and their generative fill within Photoshop is [ __ ]
775. 1:58:58remarkable what's what's great about adobe's technology is their core model is not trained on any copy written
776. 1:59:05images it's only public domain and Adobe stock images that they've trained based model on so they're also going to allow
777. 1:59:12artists to opt out of being trained or opt into being trained so their model is going to improve as more artists opt in
778. 1:59:19once they figure out attribution and compensation which I'm sure they will so yeah those are the those are the four
779. 1:59:26major players uh in the image game is there a catalog of all images ever created no but there's a there's a bunch
780. 1:59:33of things there's a site called lexicon.art I think it's lexicon art hang on um [Music]
781. 1:59:47yeah lexicon art and it's kind of like Google for images these are all stable diffusion images and so you can just scroll through it
782. 1:59:57but you can also search for things like 70s um muscle car and it will go find you all the images of 70s muscle car and if you find
783. 2:00:13something that looks like what you're looking for like let's find a cool and here's a cool Mustang then you can see here's the
784. 2:00:21prompt that they use to do it and you can say explore this style which will show you other images that use that prompt or you can just
785. 2:00:36say open in editor and start making your own variations of it so so there's a bunch of sites like this leonardo.ai has
786. 2:00:45its own version of this within it um so that's a good one but this is lexica.art I got 150 and I got 150 and now I'm making 10K for
787. 2:00:59each Enterprise gig wow that's cool man that's awesome congratulations um if you if you weren't here before what what Ann said
788. 2:01:07um earlier was that um she's she set a goal for herself to teach a thousand people AI what she's learning
789. 2:01:16in Ai and she started getting hired by big companies to to teach them and she's making 10 10 grand a gig now so so back
790. 2:01:25to the you know back to the you can make money start learning it start sharing what you're learning and you will
791. 2:01:34you don't need to listen to any of those people on those stupid sites any AI certifications you can recommend absolutely not
792. 2:01:43well wait hang on bifurcation here if you want to learn about machine learning and AI um Google just put out a course that'll
793. 2:01:53teach you about that Stanford has courses on it if you want to learn sort of the technical side of AI generation
794. 2:01:58there's lots of certificates there's lots of stuff to learn if you're talking about chat GPT and using these generative AI tools
795. 2:02:08nobody's an expert right now they're going to be people claiming they're experts but things are changing so fast
796. 2:02:14that anyone who's put together a course to teach you by the time they're teaching it to you it will be out of
797. 2:02:20date and if you get too reliant on thinking that you need to have someone teach you this stuff um shit's gonna pass you by like like I
798. 2:02:30feel like it's going to be a frustrating experience so so my strong strong advice and and it's I'm a bit of a broken
799. 2:02:38record on this channel but my strong strong advice is go start playing here go to chat.openai.com start learning what chat
800. 2:02:48EBT can do go to prompts.chat learn about prompting and then go to futurepedia.io if there's specific tools
801. 2:02:56you want to use like image tools or animation tools or video tools or music tools you can find those there but start
802. 2:03:04the basics the foundation of all this is really understanding what these large language models make possible um
803. 2:03:12because it's it's all kind of the same technology underneath it that's doing all this stuff I was face to face with a zebra fish

809. 2:04:05it's really cool it's really the it's raining right now it's very calming stable diffusion isn't that difficult if
810. 2:04:13you're technically inclined it's not that difficult if you don't know how to get a Google collab up and running and
811. 2:04:19understand what notebooks are and run all the components of a notebook and turn on your gpus and understand the
812. 2:04:26difference between running something locally and copying it copying it to your Google Drive and understanding
813. 2:04:31where all the [ __ ] in your Google Drive lives yeah it's not that difficult but if you don't understand that [ __ ] it's really difficult
814. 2:04:38um and I know there's some versions that you can install locally on your Mac and this and that but it's just it's a completely
815. 2:04:45fragmented ecosystem that does require some technical capabilities I've done all your challenges and more cool I used
816. 2:04:53it to craft physics Demos in Python oh that's awesome Chuck that's super cool I'm a CS teacher at high school so
817. 2:04:59teaching others is a is a can do start teaching them man it's so here's the thing like this stuff is going to be
818. 2:05:06ubiquitous so if you're in a teaching position right now like bring it into the classroom don't resist it bring it
819. 2:05:12into the classroom like especially in computer science teaching the kids to understand how these things actually
820. 2:05:19work let me let me show you something this is this is something that um we have a decent amount of people in
821. 2:05:25here and and since you brought up the teaching thing I'm going to show you how chat GPT works this was a talk that I gave at a create
822. 2:05:33creative mornings um session let's see here we come to save that day you know one sec
823. 2:05:48let me go back to this thing let me make this a little bit smaller and look at that I got the AI learning lag thing up top okay so
824. 2:06:02one of the misconceptions about chat CPT and even the image generation things is that they are copying and pasting from other people's
825. 2:06:12work and it's not how they work and I think if if you if you understand how these things work the first thing for me
826. 2:06:19that happened was it gets even more remarkable how they do what they do or like like when you learn what when you
827. 2:06:26learn how they do it then what they do is even more remarkable um but it's actually generating original
828. 2:06:32content here's how it does it so so I'm going to give you some some definitions here so GPT that stands for generative
829. 2:06:38pre-trained Transformer that's what the words are in GPT generative means it's generating content pre-trained means
830. 2:06:46that this is a large language model that's been pre-trained on lots of other data you don't have to bring your own
831. 2:06:51data historically with machine learning you did you bring your data set you'd run it through these tools and
832. 2:06:57then you'd do some magic [ __ ] with it um Transformer is the technology that Google invented that allows the large
833. 2:07:05language model to be trained on the massive data set so generative pre-trained Transformer that's what that
834. 2:07:10is the next thing to to you'll hear this a lot llm or large language model that's basically the the underlying technology
835. 2:07:18that that makes chat apt work is called a large language model um latent space so now we're getting into how this thing
836. 2:07:29actually works so the the way they train these things is they do what's called embedding and they they basically go
837. 2:07:36look at a bunch of words in in context right so all of the words in a PDF or all of the words on a website or all of
838. 2:07:43the words in a Reddit post whatever it might be and then based on the context and the words around it they start to group
839. 2:07:52these words in in semantic clusters and they do it mathematically they do it with vectors so think so what I'm
840. 2:07:58showing on screen right there is like an X Y um plot of you know the different colors are like semantic clusters of words that
841. 2:08:07are are meaning related and and they're just represented as strings of numbers there's no actual words in this data space now what I'm
842. 2:08:16showing you here is like a two-dimensional very very simplified version of this the actual latent space the actual Vector space of all these
843. 2:08:25words is like thousands of Dimensions it's essentially impossible to get your head around but for the for the purposes
844. 2:08:31of this that's essentially what's going on and then based on your prompt the large language model the llm predicts
845. 2:08:38what is the next word it should respond with based on all the words in your prompt and then what's the next word
846. 2:08:44after that and then what's the next word after that so it kind of works like this if the prompt that I write in is the
847. 2:08:51quick brown fox jumps over the lazy blank and I wanted to fill in that next word how does it do it well it goes and looks
848. 2:08:58at its Vector space and and it essentially deselects all of the things that are not possible words there and
849. 2:09:06you can't really see it but there's some light blue dots and the light blue dots represent um numbers in the vector space that have
850. 2:09:18a high likelihood of of you know being the right word so they might be animals or something like that and one of those
851. 2:09:25words is going to have the highest probability of being the right word that says 96 and so if we look at that
852. 2:09:32what it is is just a big long string of numbers but then that big long string of numbers is in a table connected to the
853. 2:09:38word and the word in this case is dog and then the large language model pops dog into that sentence that you typed in
854. 2:09:45and so when you see it write a whole paragraph or a whole series of paragraphs it's doing it one word at a
855. 2:09:51time pulling the words out of these semantic mathematical clusters in a in an X dimensional you know thousands of Dimensions
856. 2:10:01um clusters of words in Vector space that's how that [ __ ] works it's insane this is like how did they come up with
857. 2:10:10that I don't know that's some Wicked smart people doing that [ __ ] but what we get to experience is you type in a thing and Magic comes out
858. 2:10:20right Carl Sagan any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from Magic that's what Sam Altman talks about the
859. 2:10:32the CEO of open AI why does he do this he goes I'm experiencing putting magic in people's hands and seeing what they do with it
860. 2:10:42that's [ __ ] cool Isn't that cool anyway lost some people there when you go geeky you're gonna lose some but you know
861. 2:10:51um I'm 59 I just thought I'd just downloaded Discord the other day made an appointment with my 17 year old to show me how you go Chuck
862. 2:10:59it's the way to do it if it works you work it yep exactly GTO Chevelle Cutlass same car yeah exactly according to Mid
863. 2:11:08Journey they're the same car all right I'm really behind on my um on my questions here so I'm gonna I'm
864. 2:11:14gonna skip some questions and sort of try to get a little more caught up to to timing um Emilio's wife I had chat GPT write a
865. 2:11:31letter of reference for me and then I spent a couple of minutes doing small edits yep chat EPT will get you to 80
866. 2:11:36like that and then you just polish it that's how I use it all the time I worked with chat CBD tonight for a
867. 2:11:43scallop dinner and some convo and the end result was nice like that um I'm gonna scroll to the bottom and and
868. 2:11:54just pop back up because I'm so far behind on questions so I probably just skipped a bunch of people's questions so apologies for that but
869. 2:12:03I get the vibe you're already worth millions I was I took care of that with poor financial habits and some bad real
870. 2:12:12estate Investments and investing in too many startups like my current company storyline which is 11 years old and going well so
871. 2:12:20it's a good investment but um potentially Millions on paper but not millions in the bank account [Laughter]

876. 2:13:05it goes up to the cloud five minutes later you got a fully edited video so pretty slick we're using open ai's whisper to do
877. 2:13:13interactive transcriptions now so so now for every video in the system you can have a transcription um that that sort of you know Scrolls by
878. 2:13:21as the person's talking you read what they're what they're saying we we are then using that transcription to create
879. 2:13:27an omni-channel content generation engine so now for every video in the system you can have tweets and a blog
880. 2:13:34post and all sorts of stuff and so building a whole system that expands and extends what storyline is all about is
881. 2:13:42uh is what I'm currently working on and then we also use it for writing like we write prompts for each of our templates
882. 2:13:50um and so we created a prompt writing engine that's really slick um I'm trying to think what else we use it to recap meeting notes um
883. 2:13:59I don't know you know fair amount fair amount within the business that's cool cool representation I'm an HR
884. 2:14:06supervisor asked me specific questions chat gbt saved me hours in response time yeah if you that's one of the things
885. 2:14:13that that where I think the the large language models are going to have the greatest impact is anywhere you where
886. 2:14:19you've got complicated [ __ ] you need to do and it's it's that complicated stuff that's just like the bane of your
887. 2:14:25existence like you need to deal with your health insurance company and like they they want you to do a form and it
888. 2:14:31depends all this complicated [ __ ] that's the stuff that large language models are going to automate out and and so yeah
889. 2:14:39that's that's a brilliant use of it thank you for sharing you're limited Twilight time with us thank you thank

893. 2:15:10for employees based on statistically statistically business volume statically business volume but the answer is yes it can
894. 2:15:24um how do you use stable diffusion um I so I haven't done it for a while how how I set mine up was I was using
895. 2:15:33automatic 1111 running in a Google collab notebook so if you go to GitHub you find the automatic 1111 project in
896. 2:15:44GitHub and then there's instructions there for how you run it in Google collab or in I don't know some other
897. 2:15:50environment or you can run it locally on your machine there's the problem is there's so many options I'm sure by now
898. 2:15:56like I haven't used it in like two or three months I'm sure by now there are machine specific installers that it'll
899. 2:16:02install an application and run it locally or you can use leonardo.ai let me I'll go show you that really quick
900. 2:16:09because if you don't feel like doing all the geeky [ __ ] the advantage of doing the geeky [ __ ] is that you
901. 2:16:16there's lots and lots of options that are really powerful the disadvantage is you got to be [ __ ] geeky
902. 2:16:24but leonardo.ai is a website I think you have to get on the waiting list this top button here says get Early Access
903. 2:16:34and then once you're white listed you get access to this thing and it's it's just slick like across the top are different styles so you can
904. 2:16:45generate images in these sort of pre-built Styles like you know paper art style and then down below these are images
905. 2:16:52that people have created and you can click on any image and it shows you what the prompt was what other people made
906. 2:17:01with this model and you can you can use that model um you can fine tune using your own content like so I did some with my
907. 2:17:13ugly fat face I don't know why these like the the worst uh images it came up with but whatever but I also did like
908. 2:17:20I'm a photographer so these are some of my landscape things with like dramatic clouds from here in Colorado and so I
909. 2:17:29turned that into a model and I can now generate content with that model so um I can say um uh let's say dramatic um sunset
910. 2:17:43Sunset over Manhattan from Brooklyn and it'll now go off and do its thing so so like all of this is is our
911. 2:17:57capabilities that are sitting in stable diffusion and it's got a lot more than this but Leonardo puts a really nice web front end on it
912. 2:18:07and I'm just using like the nice thing about Leonardo they give you I think they give you like 150 credits A day or
913. 2:18:12something like that like you can make a decent amount of images a day um it looks like we have some new people

938. 2:21:35it's a position in Vector space that's why they call it a a vector database in a vector Library so it's it's it's a
939. 2:21:43mathematical plot in space um that's absolutely awesome representation of what chat GPT is and how it works awesome thank you I
940. 2:21:53appreciate that I'd be curious about Vector as well yeah if you want to if you want to start uh geeking out on
941. 2:22:01embedding and vectors and things like that look up a project called Lang chain where you can embed you can take your
942. 2:22:08own data and embed it yourself using open A's ai's embedding tools and then you store those vectors in a vector database
943. 2:22:16and then you can start chat gpting with your own stuff so you can go learn about that it's super powerful it's like it's
944. 2:22:23like one tick more technical than I feel like dealing with right now there's just too much [ __ ] going on
945. 2:22:29um but there there are some projects now that are going to put it behind an interface like Leonardo did with stable
946. 2:22:34diffusion so I'm just waiting for that um I had to tweak my resume yeah it's really good for that it's also good for
947. 2:22:42um someone asked me when I first started getting into this AI you know like Tick Tock [ __ ] someone someone wanted me to
948. 2:22:48come speak and they're like can you give me your AI bio and I'm like I don't have an AI bio so so I copied
949. 2:22:55um my LinkedIn profile and then I copied three different bios that I had written over the years and I just pasted them all into chat EBT
950. 2:23:04and I said write me a a bio that that includes some of the other [ __ ] that I've done and then adds in this new AI stuff I'm
951. 2:23:12like I think I'm on my third iteration it was perfect you know I had to tweak some details but it was it was pretty cool all right but
952. 2:23:21it must it must also analyze the structure of the sentence that example has a purpose uh it does it's so so it's really good like
953. 2:23:33as you type your whole prompt even if your prompt is really long and complicated it analyzes all that it's
954. 2:23:38really good at that it analyzes all that mathematically and then figures out what is the next most likely word out of all
955. 2:23:46of the trillions of words it's got in there what's the next most likely word to be the next word so yeah so it analyzes
956. 2:23:55existing stuff quite well love the geekiness cool thank you I appreciate that Tick Tock just jumped me to the bottom
957. 2:24:03again so I got lost I'm trying to go back to where I was but it's it's pointless Tick Tock just messes me up they took away my dual camera
958. 2:24:13his training is a few years old I got all these already um can you detail Vector space for me I think I just did that but not any more
959. 2:24:25than that all I know is that the vector space that I showed there that was two-dimensional is way over simplified
960. 2:24:31like this is thousands of dimensions of vectors Vector spaces here's here's the here's the analogy so this might help
961. 2:24:41um and this this is not this is all metaphorical this isn't this isn't technical um so when you when you prompt chat EBT with a generic
962. 2:24:54prompt you say write me a poem it will write you a poem and it will be disappointing like it might be impressive-ish
963. 2:25:02but it will probably be disappointing but if you give it a really complicated or or really specific set of parameters
964. 2:25:09I want a poem written like Robert Frost and you know I wanted to have these metaphors and this thing it'll write you a much better poem
965. 2:25:21so so why is that so Andre carpathi who's one of the co-founders of open AI was talking talking about this and and
966. 2:25:28the metaphor that I came up with was um if you imagine all of the words as the Grand Canyon all of the words are
967. 2:25:38in the Grand Canyon and you're in a helicopter and if you fly up really high you can see into all the canyons and sub
968. 2:25:45canyons and little valleys and right you can see all the words so when you just type in something generic
969. 2:25:52it basically is pulling from all of the semantic canyons and so what it gives you is generic because it's just kind of
970. 2:25:59the average of just it's like mush right and what Andre carpathy was talking about is if you've got if you ask it to solve a very specific
971. 2:26:09math problem if you're in the helicopter really up high it's going to look down and look for all of the places where that math problem
972. 2:26:16has been solved and one of the people that solved that math problem is a math professor who did it right and like 30 of the people that
973. 2:26:27solved that math problem are students and 26 of them got it wrong and so if you're really high in the helicopter it's going to just sort of
974. 2:26:36average out all of the people that have solved that problem and it'll it'll confidently give you an answer to that
975. 2:26:41math problem but if it sort of averages in those students with that Professor it's going to give you a wrong answer
976. 2:26:47but if you say you know I want you to act as a math professor from Stanford who specializes in this area of
977. 2:26:54mathematics it's like you're flying your helicopter down into that little canyon where the semantic you know space the
978. 2:27:02vector space only contains like professors right so that's why telling chat GPT to act like a certain thing
979. 2:27:09it's like lowering the helicopter into a more specific Vector space that's why it works imagine an AI driven nursing home I
980. 2:27:19think I think AI driven companionship and um um like like health care support and caregiving is actually going to be a
981. 2:27:29thing and it's going to be an important thing um I think it's going to be a while until um we get it right but I think it's
982. 2:27:36actually going to be an important thing what's the open source AI image Creator well stable diffusion is open source um
983. 2:27:44mid Journey's not adobe's not Dolly's not um there's one called Blue Willow that's not open source but it's free I don't I
984. 2:27:57think it's built on stable diffusion I don't know how they're doing it for free I don't like who who the [ __ ] is paying their compute bill

1020. 2:33:25problem you're trying to solve what's the big nut you're trying to crack is it um you need more resources or you need
1021. 2:33:34to you know you need to come up with ideas for fundraisers or you need to organize schedules or like I would say
1022. 2:33:40pick pick a problem like it doesn't matter which problem you pick pick a problem and then interact with chat GPT
1023. 2:33:48like cheche EBT is the expert at solving that problem and just say hey cheche EBT be an expert at this thing that I need
1024. 2:33:58solved here's my specific problem here's what I did here was the result here's why I'm frustrated do you have
1025. 2:34:07any suggestions out it'll come and then you'll either like the suggestions or not no no um I tried you know most of the things
1026. 2:34:17you suggested and that's the wrong direction you know I need to go this other direction out will come a bunch of new things so
1027. 2:34:24I would start with that um and and then depending on um you know housing homeless veterans like you could you could also
1028. 2:34:37um use these AI tools to upskill some of those veterans right get them using these tools get them expressing
1029. 2:34:45themselves get them processing their experiences I I like I don't quite know enough about what you do but but I would
1030. 2:34:52say pick specific things you're trying to solve and then and then say how can these AI tools help me solve that
1031. 2:34:59specific problem if you do that twice with like two specific problems it'll it'll become much more clear how you can
1032. 2:35:06deploy these tools against a lot of your problems um what was the interactive chat GPT slide it was very cool the interactive
1033. 2:35:16chat GPT slide which one the when I was showing how chat GPT works the the where is it this one that shows how oh yeah how chat
1034. 2:35:31GPT works this one wait oh I'm not showing my camera I used to have dual cameras but tikitaki took them away from me
1035. 2:35:38this one was from a presentation that I did for Creative mornings um and it's it's actually part of a keynote now that
1036. 2:35:45I've put together where it was a fun presentation so I started out talking about um my my first experience with personal
1037. 2:35:56computers in the fall of 1977 it was with the trash 80. and the more I learned about how remarkable these
1038. 2:36:03machines were the more I realized I wasn't old enough to be like these guys Steve Jobs and Wozniak or these guys the Microsoft co-founders
1039. 2:36:14and so I talk about just missing um the early days of the PC Revolution and then in the mid 90s I discovered the web
1040. 2:36:25and I launched this magazine and three weeks later it's written about in Paris and I have an epiphany about the World
1041. 2:36:30Wide Web holy [ __ ] this is one of those and then I kind of jumped forward to 2022 and chat EBT you know is the thing
1042. 2:36:40that changes everything so that's that's essentially what the Talk's about and I kind of go into how I got there what I did how I learned

1049. 2:37:43gonna impact a lot of livelihoods the good news is it's going to create a lot of new jobs but there's going to be a really painful
1050. 2:37:49Chunk in the middle so part of the purpose of this channel is to do what I can to demystify like I I think because of Hollywood telling us
1051. 2:38:01that the robots are going to kill us and the fact that this AI stuff is pretty sciencey and and sciency stuff has political
1052. 2:38:11ramifications these days um I can see where there's resistance to it and and the only thing I can suggest is
1053. 2:38:19do what you can to humanize it and and demystify it so maybe rather than sort of you know doing things that are sort of big and
1054. 2:38:30impressive like like lower the bar down to like what's the most human kind of thing you can do with it like create a meal plan or create um
1055. 2:38:40I don't know help someone write a children's book and illustrate it for their kid like make it as human
1056. 2:38:48as possible and show them that it can help do stuff like that that might be a way to to get through that but I I would
1057. 2:38:54imagine there's going to be some some geographies in the U.S anyway that this is going to be a harder Rock to push up the hill
1058. 2:39:04that's the Shady Pines of AI I'm kind of loving it cool how would you leverage Chachi BT to Market to aspiring actors as clients um
1059. 2:39:17yeah I would speak to them like it's funny I just talked to a buddy of mine who's got an acting studio in New York
1060. 2:39:22City and he was asking me about the same thing um I don't know with actors I would focus on the content I would focus on
1061. 2:39:36I mean actors don't have a ton of money so so you wanna you wanna connect them with jobs somehow so anything that you can do to
1062. 2:39:45you know do either storytelling or or um content marketing that appeals to their sense of wonder and um possibility
1063. 2:40:00like you want to put actors in touch with possibility because it can be a very Bleak and hopeless profession yeah no
1064. 2:40:12look at your programs and look at where you need help yep agree with that what could AI do for a real estate investor um
1065. 2:40:21can do a lot it can help you know you could you could use it to to do um cool graphics and photographs you could have it right
1066. 2:40:33um social media content for you you could have it help you could probably come up with a pretty straightforward um
1067. 2:40:43automation using zapier where you create a Google form where you where you type in attributes of a property that that's just you do
1068. 2:40:52it's the same every time like square footage number of bedrooms interesting things in the neighborhood like what
1069. 2:40:57whatever like you know what that list is right so you kind of just write that into a form and then you could have it
1070. 2:41:03automatically spit out here's your you know sell sheet here's your brochure copy here's your Instagram posts right
1071. 2:41:12you can have it generate just a whole bunch of [ __ ] for every single property so so rather than kind of ad hoc doing
1072. 2:41:18that for each thing you could create a tool that automatically generates omnichannel content um you could use it to introduce Brokers
1073. 2:41:28you could have it right personalized letters to customers or prospects um you could have it analyze data for the business
1074. 2:41:37um check out if you haven't seen it go look at um YouTube videos look up code interpreter so this is a new new Tool
1075. 2:41:44that's coming for open AI where you can upload spreadsheets of data to this thing and it will do full-on data
1076. 2:41:51analysis for you so it could be a data analysis assistant so probably Lots like there's probably not a lot it couldn't do
1077. 2:42:00for Real Estate because it's such a data Rich environment ask not what AI can do for you but you can do it for AI yeah

1085. 2:43:26there's your code um so if you're learning coding right now you should be using um github's copilot which is optimized for coding but like
1086. 2:43:43this is GPT 3.5 gpt4 is better and and GitHub co-pilots even better apparently um start thinking of GPT as a pair
1087. 2:43:54programmer where you give it the ideas and you curate the code but it does the bulk of the writing I mean it's insane
1088. 2:44:03so if if if you're in coding class and they're not teaching this right now get on it because seriously knowing code great knowing
1089. 2:44:15code and how to do it with AI going to be a requirement very very shortly all right I got four more minutes so
1090. 2:44:24I'll do two more questions yesterday I used chat GPT secretly to give my friend advice when she was sad it was great
1091. 2:44:31it's you know what's funny about so so they did a they did a test recently where patients interacted with chat GPT doctors and real doctors
1092. 2:44:41and the patient's overwhelmingly preferred the chat GPT doctors because they were more competent and they were more empathetic
1093. 2:44:49and Chachi PT is actually really good at nuance and it's really good at [ __ ] like like I've done a bunch of these things
1094. 2:44:54where not a bunch but where I've had difficult conversations and I'm like hey I have this difficult conversation how can you help me frame
1095. 2:45:02it and it came it was brilliant it was really good it's really good at that all right well my first computer was a
1096. 2:45:10ti-994a on a Commodore I the uh the the ti-99 that was one I wanted I wanted the Timex Sinclair that was that was my
1097. 2:45:19little lust computers like this little membrane keyboard computer like this big it was like magic I never got one I
1098. 2:45:25should get one of those bad boys off eBay I was at wozniak's home in Los Gatos that's super cool was the was can you
1099. 2:45:36talk a little bit about becoming a prompt engineer um I can't I think it's it's going to be a short-lived profession because I think
1100. 2:45:44these tools are going to get really good at prompting themselves but I I would just just go to prompts.chat there's a
1101. 2:45:50primer at the beginning of this that will that will give you it there's also lots of videos on it um I would be weird don't don't feel
1102. 2:45:58like you it's like I don't think it's a good practice right now to just go get other people's prompts prompt libraries and use them I think
1103. 2:46:09it's actually better right now to to just start experimenting with it start treating chat gbt like a collaborative
1104. 2:46:16partner where you're having a conversation back and forth that'll teach you more about prompt engineering
1105. 2:46:21than trying to learn all the all the rules because it's changing really fast and it's kind of like learning math before you use a
1106. 2:46:30calculator like there's there's something conceptual going on with using language as a programming tool um that I like I I don't know for me
1107. 2:46:42it's just like just bang up against the frustration of getting it wrong a bunch and just keep practicing is going to be
1108. 2:46:48better like you can go go to prompts.chat to learn the basics but then just start experimenting I think it's the best way pick a problem to
1109. 2:46:55solve start solving it and that will make you a better prompt engineer sounds like Boston has a handle on
1110. 2:47:02ushering AI into general public yeah and it's like why is New York not done that why is San Francisco not done that why
1111. 2:47:09Chicago like why are major cities not doing this like Boston good for you but everyone else where the [ __ ] are you
1112. 2:47:16this is coming quickly like you know everyone talks about oh we need politicians to regulate this and this
