8:02 don't know what it does man just wakes
8:04 him
8:05 up all right this is a lovely coat of
8:09 arms the AI learning
8:12 Institute we have graduated to an
8:14 Institute which is fan freaking tastic
8:17 Bob tell him what he's
8:18 won that was from shock shaki
8:22 shaki well thank you shocky for making
8:24 that you can make money
8:27 with um I thought we might do some fun
8:30 stuff tonight I I got I got a notice
8:33 from Tik
8:36 Tock about a video that I posted a year
8:39 ago it was like a year ago tonight or
8:42 whatever
8:44 today and it was a Tik Tok I did talking
8:48 about a
8:50 Google AI event in
8:54 Paris and it was a [ __ ] train
8:58 wreck
9:00 but this Wednesday almost a year to the
9:04 day of that debacle in
9:07 Paris um is coming I think this
9:12 Wednesday Gemini
9:15 Ultra I invited a friend and my niece
9:18 tonight well welcome welcome welcome if
9:20 friend and niece are here Mr it is one
9:23 of the Irregulars if you don't know who
9:24 the Irregulars are they're the people
9:26 that show up here regularly you see do
9:28 you get how it works
9:30 cuz they're irregular I don't know they
9:34 came up with it it was Amelio's wife she
9:36 came up with it how's perplexity AI
9:39 perplexity AI is quite
9:41 good perplexity AI is particularly good
9:45 if you're like doing research and you
9:47 want things that are not um made up as
9:50 much because you can restrict it to just
9:53 search on certain things like just
9:54 search on Reddit or just search on
9:56 Wikipedia or just search on I forget
9:58 what the other site are um but any
10:02 answers that it gives you it gives you
10:03 citations and it's it's pretty slick
10:06 it's pretty slick and I got the pro
10:07 version of it for free cuz I ordered the
10:10 rabbit R1 AI device not the other rabbit
10:15 device
10:16 um and so I got it for free but I
10:19 haven't really played with it enough to
10:20 to Really rank it but it's good A lot of
10:24 people love perplexity I think people
10:26 that do a lot of research love
10:28 perplexity me where I'm doing more
10:30 creative and marketing kind of stuff um
10:33 I don't have as much need for it and
10:35 with all of these tools I think the
10:37 trick is getting better at
10:42 um figuring out which tools are good for
10:46 which job so Empower pixels I use
10:50 perplexity instead of Google but
10:53 citations Choice could be better yeah I
10:55 agree with that that like it's pretty
10:57 limited right now to to just
11:00 like Wikipedia let me see what what it
11:02 is limited to and also these things
11:05 change on a regular
11:11 basis
11:23 perplexity so if you go to
11:25 focus you can focus it to wolf from
11:27 alpha so if you're doing things on
11:29 mathematical
11:31 equations you can do academic
11:34 searches you can do YouTube searches you
11:37 can just do like a chat GPT writing kind
11:40 of experience and then you can also do
11:42 Reddit and it's also got this thing
11:44 called co-pilot which is pretty
11:46 interesting so when you do a search on
11:48 perplexity co-pilot will suggest other
11:50 things you might want to search on does
11:53 perplexity have their own index or do
11:55 they use Google's index for the back end
11:58 uh I'm pretty sure they have their own
11:59 own and if I recall right I think
12:04 somebody just invested big in them hang
12:07 on uh who
12:10 invested in
12:14 perplexity
12:18 recently Jeff Bezos Amazon Amazon
12:22 invested in perplexity so it's probably
12:25 so it's probably perplexities model
12:27 sitting on oh wait it works as a chat
12:31 chatbot style search engine that
12:32 responds to queries using open AI
12:35 technology so they're using they're
12:37 using probably gp4 for the search and
12:40 then they're they're combining that with
12:42 an internet search in in an interesting
12:44 way um but I assume now it's hosted on
12:46 Amazon so that's what's going on
12:51 there all right welcome everybody
12:53 welcome welcome welcome my name is Kyle
12:55 Shannon this is the AI learning lab
12:56 whereas our little sign says tonight the
12:58 AI learning in Institute welcome welcome
13:01 to the classroom children Welcome to The
13:04 Institute of
13:06 learning you may be asking dear sa what
13:09 are your qualifications to which I would
13:12 answer well I have
13:15 none that's the point nobody has any
13:18 right
13:19 now um I'm I'm actually I had an
13:24 idea cuz some folks in here have been
13:27 talking about what they get out of
13:30 coming here every night it baffles me uh
13:34 Sometimes some sometimes when I have a
13:35 good night I'm like okay yeah that's why
13:37 they come and other nights I'm like why
13:40 why did they put up with this [ __ ]
13:46 um I think what this and this is this is
13:49 from feedback and I'm actually think I
13:51 think this might be an interesting
13:52 Workshop to put together I think what
13:54 the AI learning lab is this is where
13:57 we're all learning how to learn about
14:01 AI because there's nothing I can really
14:04 teach you about AI That's not going to
14:05 be obsolete in like two months and or
14:09 sooner like by
14:12 Wednesday
14:14 and but but what I'm hoping everyone
14:17 that comes here a
14:21 lot
14:22 gains is a sense
14:26 of play in a sense of adventure and a
14:30 sense of it doesn't [ __ ] matter if
14:33 you're perfect at it it doesn't matter
14:35 if you're incompetent it doesn't matter
14:38 if you're brilliant at it cuz
14:40 everything's changing so you might as
14:42 well have some fun and just play and
14:46 explore and connect with each other and
14:48 share what you're learning and put it
14:50 out in the world and share it on
14:51 LinkedIn and share it on Facebook and
14:53 share it at your stupid dinner party
14:55 that you didn't want to go to anyway
14:57 yeah but they'll make fun of me Kyle
14:58 yeah let him make fun of
15:01 you cuz you know what's going to happen
15:03 in 6 months
15:05 Sally Sally I'm not sure I understand
15:11 Siri mhm go
15:14 away
15:20 okay
15:22 I I keep telling you it's love Kyle yeah
15:26 it's it's love it's date date night date
15:28 night
15:29 but it but it actually is love I mean
15:35 it playing with AI right now is is an
15:38 act of um it's an act
15:42 of Joy I think I think it has to be why
15:46 else would you do it wait what is
15:48 happening Wednesday Oh Shannon lindmeier
15:50 wouldn't you like to
15:53 know so it appears According to some C
15:59 that somebody uncovered in something
16:03 somewhere that Wednesday Google is
16:09 launching Gemini
16:12 Advanced they are disposing of the
16:15 barred name they're switching the name
16:18 of their AI to Gemini and then Gemini
16:22 Advanced is Gemini Ultra that that they
16:25 announced back in December and it looks
16:27 like it's coming Wednesday
16:29 so I thought what might be fun for
16:31 tonight and tomorrow is to go look at a
16:35 bunch of the videos that Google
16:38 presented like they they had that one
16:40 that they presented that everyone made
16:41 fun of we can watch a little bit of that
16:44 one where it was like oh they were lying
16:45 about all that stuff but they put out
16:47 like 30 videos on Gemini and what's
16:50 coming so I thought what might be
16:52 fun is go take a look at what's coming
16:56 and get
16:57 ourselves gird the loins as they say get
17:00 our loins
17:02 girded I I don't know what that means it
17:05 sounds dirty so let's go let's go make
17:07 sure that I'm not going to get booted
17:09 off booted off of Tik Tok for giring our
17:12 loins um let's see chat
17:16 GPT let's get the uh let's get the
17:18 history the the etymology of gird the
17:21 loins what uh so let's see tell
17:25 me
17:27 about I think it's g d gird your loins I
17:32 put it in quote
17:36 marks ger your loins originates from the
17:39 Bible used in English for centuries
17:41 historically it referred to the practice
17:43 of preparing oneself for physical action
17:47 some form of hard work
17:50 yeah to gather up and secure these
17:54 garments around the waist oh or girdle
17:57 okay GD your loins oh I see basically
17:59 get dressed for battle or get dressed
18:01 for work gting your gting your loins
18:04 yeah all right so so we're about to
18:06 we're about
18:08 to head into the into the into the
18:13 breach we're going to GD our
18:16 loins and we're going to prepare for
18:18 Wednesday and what I'll do
18:20 Wednesday assuming that I've got
18:24 um space in my calendar let me go look
18:26 at my
18:27 calendar
18:35 [Music]
18:37 I got
18:38 my Twitter back by the way how exciting
18:41 is that so
18:44 exciting all right so I have a in-person
18:47 brainstorming session with my co-founder
18:50 in the
18:51 afternoon so I got the morning oh the
18:54 morning I'm going to be
18:57 driving
19:03 so I'll probably assuming that they
19:05 launch it when are they going to launch
19:06 it they're going to launch
19:08 it
19:13 probably probably 11:00 a.m. is a
19:22 guess 11:00 a.m.
19:25 Pacific so it'll be noon so I don't know
19:28 maybe around 4 o00 on Wednesday I'll go
19:30 live and start playing with it put your
19:31 girdles on men exactly get your Spanx
19:35 get your man Spanx get your lady Spanx
19:37 tuck it all in GD the loins let's get
19:40 going
19:41 people
19:46 um what
19:48 else
19:50 so we can do that so we can go look at
19:52 some of the Google stuff to see what's
19:54 coming and it's a lot of the stuff that
19:56 they put out there I watched every one
19:58 of those vide videos beginning to
20:00 end and and there was a lot of stuff
20:04 that they they didn't really talk about
20:06 pay Q chat TMZ speculation is real I
20:11 know I know but it was in a real
20:13 publication the speculation was in a
20:16 real publication so Pate do you think I
20:19 know you can't say this but do you think
20:21 speculation about something happening on
20:25 Wednesday has a more than 50% % chance
20:29 of being not
20:31 [ __ ] we wait for Kate Kate Pate Pate
20:34 Pate works at the goog he can't ever
20:37 tell us anything because he values his
20:38 job
20:41 apparently so it's annoying for us but
20:44 you know it's apparently you know worth
20:47 it for him for sustained
20:50 employment wait I missed it what are we
20:52 ging for okay side hustle Mimi so the
20:56 speculation is chat chat TMZ tonight
20:59 normally this is chat add tonight is
21:01 chat
21:03 TMZ there is a
21:05 rumor because of some code inside the
21:09 timing part is honestly the thing I know
21:11 the least about this whole thing P's
21:13 good Pate honest to God if if they if
21:16 you ever get bard of math you could go
21:17 into the uh the PR department at Google
21:20 you're you're good at the you know the
21:23 the deflecting of Here Comes the
21:25 question
21:27 pinging
21:31 you're good at that it's good solid uh
21:33 so anyway so it looks like it is
21:37 possible um Gemini
21:41 Ultra Launches on
21:45 Wednesday that's the
21:48 speculation
21:50 um yeah that's about all we know so I
21:52 thought it'd be good to do that if
21:54 you've got questions about AI pop them
21:55 in the comments below we can also do
21:57 that I can also talk about chat GPT
22:00 what's going on with that I mean there's
22:02 nothing super new going on with that but
22:04 there's gpts and you can now call gpts
22:06 inside gpts it's just there the amount
22:09 of nested GPT at open AI is is getting
22:12 very confusing so we can we can untangle
22:15 some of
22:17 that
22:19 um let's see P's probably dropping a
22:21 false Google hint to watch us get
22:23 frenzied over nothing no it's not Pate
22:25 dropping the hint the hint came from
22:29 let me go to the the
22:33 Twitter what what's that site uh
22:44 x.com let's
22:47 see search
22:50 search
22:53 Gemini Gemini
22:57 Advanced so apparently they're dropping
22:59 the name
23:10 Google so
23:12 [Music]
23:16 2724 this looks like a screenshot that
23:19 could just be
23:20 [ __ ]
23:22 Andrew
23:24 curan who's
23:27 he
23:29 he writes about Ai and Humanity but he's
23:32 only got 5,000 followers so I don't
23:36 know his Source I don't know what this
23:39 screenshot
23:43 is Google Gemini Ultra Google is
23:47 launching Gemini Ultra in 48 hours we
23:49 are saying goodbye to our friend Bard as
23:52 he is being rebranded along with Google
23:56 Assistant the industry is consolid
23:58 validating around a monthly Pro tier for
24:00 their top models at 20 bucks a month
24:02 Google's will be named Gemini Advanced
24:04 and I heard the advanced term back in
24:07 December so that that tracks for me
24:09 could you say something about data
24:11 annotation I heard it's an
24:14 AI job
24:17 type actually P so uh Ador Abella
24:22 adorabella that's pretty cute name I'm
24:25 going to go 9.5 out of 10 on the name
24:27 there Ador
24:29 um you should join the AI salon and you
24:31 should join the um AI mechanics Guild
24:34 that Pate actually
24:37 runs it's on YouTube AI Revolution
24:40 what's on
24:41 YouTube The Gemini thing Gemini premium
24:45 is already
24:47 completed what are you talking about
24:49 Ultra has already been up what no it
24:54 hasn't ultra's not up Elon monkey what
24:58 are you talking
25:01 about Gemini Pros been up b.google.r
25:06 Gemini Ultra has not been
25:10 live I'm excited about the Gemini launch
25:13 I don't know why well I I mean why to be
25:16 excited about it is if there's actually
25:17 a competitor to
25:19 gp4 and and as we'll go through some of
25:21 the Gemini stuff tonight um it's a it's
25:25 a very different interface that that
25:27 they demo mode I don't know what they're
25:29 going to be launching tomorrow AI tool
25:31 report said Bard has been renamed Gemini
25:33 and replaced sometime this
25:35 week what I don't know though AI Salon
25:39 we won't cut your hair but we might get
25:41 under your
25:43 skin I don't think it's been released at
25:45 all in any shape okay that's from Pate
25:47 so so Elon monkey Pate works at Google
25:51 he's got a PhD and your name is Elon
25:55 monkey so so you probably think that
25:59 grock is
26:04 good must be beta it must be beta I
26:08 don't think I don't think there's any
26:10 any beta's been out there I mean there
26:12 might be a private beta out there for
26:14 for developers or for um for you know
26:18 private
26:19 testers a i tool
26:24 report look at me double tapping on the
26:26 screen to make it bigger
26:28 oh yeah here let me see if I can make
26:31 this a little bit
26:35 bigger here I can do this I can read
26:39 this what I don't know is I don't know
26:41 the source of this
26:44 document so so it's it's it looks like
26:48 it's some sort of press release but like
26:50 this could have just been
26:51 written it's got an EVO Watermark
26:57 here
26:58 Bard is
27:00 now
27:03 Gemini it's marked the 7th which is
27:06 tomorrow oh no that's Wednesday yeah
27:07 that's that's
27:09 Wednesday we're committed to giving
27:11 everyone direct access to Google AI as
27:13 of the end of this week every Gemini
27:15 user across our supported countries and
27:17 languages has access to Google's best
27:20 family of AI
27:23 models to better reflect this commitment
27:25 we've renamed Bard to Gemini try Gemini
27:28 advance to access Google's most capable
27:31 model Ultra
27:35 1.0 Gemini Advanced gives you access to
27:38 our most capable if you are one of the
27:41 first to access Google's latest
27:43 advancements as they become available
27:45 this is for you yeah oh wait where's my
27:47 I lost my little
27:49 thing people you can't you can't be
27:54 expected to learn without my cheery face
27:57 here come on let me know what's going
28:00 on
28:03 um it's far more capable at highly
28:06 complex tasks like coding logical
28:08 reasoning and nuanced instruction and
28:11 creative
28:12 collaboration plus Gemini Advanced will
28:15 continue to expand with new and
28:16 exclusive features in the coming months
28:20 including expanded multimodal
28:23 capabilities even better coding features
28:25 and the ability to upload and more
28:28 deeply analyze files documents and data
28:31 so if this document's true they're
28:33 already apologizing for
28:36 it Gemini Advanced is a paid plan
28:40 available in over 150 countries it's
28:43 available and optimized only for English
28:45 with our Ultra 1.0 model and that we had
28:48 heard that it was it was bad in in
28:50 non-english languages which is why they
28:52 delayed it but can respond to queries in
28:54 other languages that Gemini is available
28:58 in learn more Gemini Advanced you can be
29:01 one of the first to try our most capable
29:03 model this almost sounds like it was
29:05 written by chat GPT or or
29:08 Bard chat to supercharge
29:15 ideas yeah I don't know I don't know if
29:17 this document's [ __ ] or not it could
29:20 be let's see what else we got
29:26 here
29:29 the problem with Twitter is just
29:30 everyone copies everyone else's
29:45 [ __ ] Gemini Pro is now
29:50 barred so here's the code that they
29:52 found it
29:56 in
30:12 welcome to the Gemini
30:26 era
30:45 nto5
30:47 google.com google Bart is in for a big
30:49 shakeup in the next few
30:53 days an early change log reveals that
30:57 Gemini Rebrand is coming next week along
31:00 with a new Android
31:04 app what's this
31:06 document oh that's that that's that old
31:09 that's from the
31:11 announcement Gemini emerges Bard
31:18 retires why don't these people put the
31:20 source of this stuff because they're
31:22 probably because it's probably some
31:23 Faker [ __ ] this was the
31:26 uh this was the article I think here
31:30 decoder this was the first one that I
31:33 saw the decoder
31:37 article
31:39 so this was today seems like Google
31:43 turned on gemini.com too early oh let's
31:48 go look at
31:50 that where are we we're
31:52 here
31:56 Gemini
31:58 .
32:06 google.com gemini.com I guess they just
32:09 did it
32:12 temporarily the previously text in the
32:15 code
32:19 below Android users will get a Gemini
32:22 app that could replace Google
32:25 Assistant but it's not coming to the UK
32:28 Switzerland and European economic area
32:31 countries and Associated territories I
32:35 guess that's because they actually have
32:36 laws about AI iOS users will have to
32:39 make doe with Gemini in the Google
32:42 app oh that sucks Gemini is also coming
32:46 to
32:48 Canada and there's the original
32:51 article all right well it looks like
32:54 some version of it's coming the fact
32:56 that they in in that little announcement
32:58 I read they were already apologizing for
33:00 it in coming weeks we'll be adding even
33:02 more multimodal capabilities that says
33:05 to me that it's not going to do a lot of
33:07 the [ __ ] they
33:09 demoed welcome to chat
33:12 TMZ all right I had to drop X every
33:14 other tweet gave me a jump
33:18 scare do you think this could be tied to
33:22 the s24 ultra well no that's a Samsung
33:26 device
33:28 they're I mean I mean I'm sure they're
33:30 an important partner for
33:33 Google no this this shit's independent
33:36 of of that they're no I don't think
33:39 they're
33:40 related unless you know Samsung might
33:43 have Early Access to some stuff that
33:45 that there might be some things in in
33:49 Samsung that had access to the ultra API
33:52 I'm not sure I forget I I didn't pay
33:54 that close attention I'm an iOS guy I
33:57 iOS is where it's at iOS is where it's
34:00 at is the coupon code chat
34:03 GPT uh and expert impr prompt engineer
34:06 wanted
34:07 $495 to join his community damn I got to
34:11 up the price for the salon oh by the way
34:14 if you if you are new here and you're
34:17 you're looking for Community I know I
34:19 haven't really done anything tonight I'm
34:21 just sort of reading out loud on this
34:24 live
34:26 um
34:28 if you're curious about AI well first of
34:31 all if you're not curious about Ai and
34:33 you're just in here cuz you know I'm so
34:36 damn
34:38 goodlook then then I think I think you
34:40 might want to seek professional help but
34:43 if you're in here I assume that means
34:44 you're curious about AI if you're
34:46 curious about Ai and especially if you
34:48 are feeling
34:50 isolated especially if you're feeling
34:52 like you're the person in your life
34:54 that's like oh my God this stuff changes
34:57 everything have you seen this stuff it's
34:59 like oh my God and then everyone's like
35:02 Jenny Jenny could you just could you
35:06 please just not Jenny with the
35:10 AI could we just enjoy our Margarita
35:14 fluffer here here at the Applebees
35:17 without without talk of machine learning
35:19 and and the existential crisis you're
35:21 going through please it's Monday night I
35:25 just want to get a a nice light Buzz and
35:27 and go home and watch watch the
35:30 wheel so if you got that going on in
35:32 your life and your name's Jenny
35:35 obviously because if they're calling you
35:37 Jenny and that's not your name that's
35:39 just [ __ ] weird but if in fact your
35:41 name's Jenny and you've been talking too
35:43 much about this AI stuff and no one
35:45 wants to [ __ ] hear it then we've got
35:47 a place for you and we don't charge $495
35:50 to join this this is actually free why
35:53 is it free what's the catch he's I bet
35:56 this is a cult is it is this a
35:57 multi-level marketing
36:00 scheme it should be i''d make a hell of
36:04 a lot more money you can make money
36:11 with what happened to Jesse Jesse talked
36:14 about AI too much they they fired him
36:16 Jesse Jesse's actually selling hot dogs
36:18 at a cart down on 42nd Street he's he's
36:21 Jesse's pretty
36:24 bummed
36:25 so this Community if you go to the
36:31 salon. EU pass the AI act that was
36:34 February 2nd I think yeah exactly so so
36:36 Google's going to be like fine you guys
36:38 go have your laws we're going to we're
36:40 going to try to launch launch some [ __ ]
36:42 in the meantime so if you're in the EU
36:43 good luck you're protected but you don't
36:45 get to play with our [ __ ] toys um so
36:49 if you go to this this URL it will take
36:52 you to this link
36:54 tree and the very first link here is the
36:56 AI Salon community and if you come
37:02 here this is a community we just cracked
37:04 a thousand people we've we've only had
37:06 this community site live for about two
37:09 and a half months and we we just passed
37:11 a thousand people
37:13 and it's a remarkable community and so
37:17 if you're interested in community of
37:19 like AI adventurers like people that are
37:22 trying to figure this [ __ ] out along
37:23 with you that's what this group is like
37:26 we're this mared band of people trying
37:29 to figure this stuff out in real time as
37:32 it's sort of launching under our
37:34 feet um we're described as a ragtag
37:38 group of Misfits Nero Wells and Mis
37:41 creant who have gathered to explore the
37:43 Uncharted Wilderness of generative AI we
37:45 are everyone from entrepreneurs to
37:47 Educators from healthcare workers to
37:49 creatives and everyone in
37:52 between and then what I want you to do
37:54 is I want you to read all this stuff and
37:55 I want you to go look at our Val values
37:57 and we have pretty pictures so if you
37:59 know if you're not good with the words
38:01 we got pretty pictures too but I want
38:03 you to really take in the values and
38:05 make sure that they resonate with you
38:07 cuz here's what here's what we want to
38:08 do we want this to be a growing Vibrant
38:11 Community and we want it not to
38:14 suck okay so the values that I'm about
38:17 to read you that's who this group
38:19 already is so if these don't resonate
38:21 with you this is not your people if
38:23 these values do resonate with you you're
38:25 like holy [ __ ] that sounds amazing
38:27 these are going to be your people okay
38:29 curiosity we want people here who are
38:31 curious generosity we want people that
38:33 as they learn stuff they share about it
38:36 as they enter the community they take
38:37 the risk of of introducing themselves so
38:41 so jump into the introduce yourself
38:43 section and introduce yourself um when
38:45 you learn something um you know post
38:49 about it in water cooler or or when you
38:52 do something and show and tell talk
38:53 about how you did what you did um
38:56 exploration when want people who are
38:58 adventurous
39:00 um collaboration we want people who are
39:03 willing to say ooh you're good at this
39:05 I'm good at that maybe we should do
39:06 something together that's happening all
39:08 over the place in this community it's
39:09 pretty amazing inclusion everyone right
39:12 now
39:13 everyone there's not a single person on
39:16 the planet that knows what the [ __ ] is
39:18 happening with generative AI because
39:20 it's also new we're in the primordial
39:22 soup stage of it so anyone who claims
39:25 they're an expert right now is full of
39:27 [ __ ] what that means is everyone trying
39:30 to figure this out they're just they're
39:32 going to come from all different walks
39:33 of life it's no longer just engineers
39:35 and mathematicians and things like that
39:37 it's artists and creatives and business
39:39 people and writers and filmmakers and
39:41 and just everyone right so inclusion
39:44 super critical and then the final value
39:46 is
39:47 empathy people are scared of this stuff
39:50 people are angry about
39:52 it you know the people at work where
39:54 you're like ah you want to hear this
39:55 sayi stuff no all
39:57 I have that's
40:00 fear and we should have empathy for
40:04 that you know people think that well I'm
40:06 not technical enough to do AI you don't
40:08 need to be technical with this
40:10 generative AI
40:11 stuff well it's stealing no it's not
40:13 stealing it's plagiarizing no it's not
40:17 plagiarizing understand how it
40:19 works so but have empathy for those
40:23 people and have empathy for each other
40:26 because ASC exting as this stuff is it
40:28 can be a little scary if you're like
40:29 well I've been a copywriter for 30 years
40:31 and all of a sudden uh everything's
40:33 different yeah and that's going to be
40:36 like that for every knowledge worker
40:37 every creative worker anyone who does
40:40 any work mediated by computers which is
40:43 essentially most of the world
40:47 right or most of the you know the modern
40:52 world computers are everywhere your
40:56 mechanic how does your mechanic bill you
40:59 computers right do you have the journey
41:02 app I don't know what the journey app
41:05 is it was the oddest thing I thought he
41:07 meant $4
41:09 $4.95 ask me you
41:13 do have to know how to code oh you don't
41:17 have to know how to code to get results
41:19 really yeah Corey Sandler Pottery so
41:21 Corey
41:22 Sandler so first of all you should
41:24 follow Corey Sandler Pottery because she
41:26 does awesome lives where she's just some
41:28 days she's like the hell with this
41:30 technology stuff and she just gets muddy
41:32 she's spinning pots
41:35 up and then she's also gotten enamored
41:37 with chat GPT and making gpts and she's
41:41 bringing an artist's mind to application
41:44 development and not application
41:47 development like she learned zappier no
41:49 no application development like chat GPT
41:52 makes it so easy to make one of these
41:54 customized gpts that
41:57 anyone without any coding skill
41:59 whatsoever can do it it's it's quite
42:02 remarkable um and and so she's just her
42:06 gpts are just these amazing joyous
42:09 things that just make all sorts of crazy
42:11 ass art and she's got one that'll make
42:14 recipes for pottery glazes for
42:17 you cone
42:19 6 you need a glaze and Cone
42:22 six she can do that her her GPT does
42:26 that for you so anyway that's that how
42:28 do I join the salon you just show up
42:30 here and join I don't know how the how
42:32 to probably up in the in
42:35 your you just join you make an account
42:37 it's a mighty Network's account this is
42:39 mighty network is the platform that
42:40 hosts the
42:42 community and then what you're going to
42:44 do is the first place I want you to go
42:46 is go to introduce yourself and please
42:48 introduce yourself say hi like people
42:50 won't make fun of you if you're like but
42:52 I don't know anything about AI car I
42:54 feel so inadequate
42:57 listen I'm the master of feeling
42:59 inadequate I I have I have made a career
43:02 out of it which I'm I'm get giving
43:06 up I can code anything the volume of any
43:10 gummy bear so long it's it's cylindrical
43:13 amazing P's a little bitter P's a little
43:15 bitter because because people that
43:19 didn't get a PhD in math are are now
43:21 able to do mathy kind of stuff in in
43:25 nearly a a plausible way and and he's
43:28 feeling threatened and that's okay
43:30 that's okay he's he's he's off in his
43:33 TPU Hut he's he's he's optimizing the
43:38 what was the thing the K the K the KC or
43:41 the
43:43 KF cash KC I think it's the KC
43:47 something he he did a paper on the
43:51 thing but anyway he's jealous just like
43:54 Sam alman's jealous of me Pate is is
43:56 jealous of all the nonmathematicians
43:58 doing math now it's it's fine he's going
44:01 to be
44:02 okay um if we don't thank you enough let
44:05 me do that after the encounter okay very
44:07 nice thank you I appreciate that which
44:09 website are we using okay thanks what
44:12 website we're using is go there go to
44:16 the salon. A and that's going to take
44:19 you to this link tree and the very first
44:22 link is the AI Salon Community that'll
44:24 take you to the to the site that I was
44:26 just on so that's the site we're using
44:28 and then there's some other stuff here
44:29 you can explore and you can even buy AI
44:31 Salon merch that's how we pay for that's
44:34 why why the AI Salon is free is we have
44:37 sponsors so you can sponsor a month if
44:40 you want it's cheap it's really cheap
44:43 actually 150 bucks a month to sponsor
44:45 for a month Sherry D is our sponsor in
44:49 February or you can buy you can buy
44:51 merch and that supports us and then that
44:53 will take you to the AI salon so the
44:55 first thing I want you to do do when you
44:57 jump in here is go to the community
44:58 section and introduce yourself after you
45:00 read about what we're all about and then
45:03 there's a water cooler section for that
45:06 there's showand tell there's a new
45:08 section probably if you're just getting
45:10 started one of the most important um
45:13 pages on the site is AI tools and
45:15 resources this is a personally curated
45:19 list I personally curate this list of
45:22 This Is The Stuff This is Where I think
45:24 you should start and and kind of roughly
45:26 the order I think you should do it in
45:29 the top things are large language models
45:31 so chat GPT is still the best that's the
45:33 one at the top this could change
45:35 Wednesday it could not change
45:37 Wednesday then you've got Claude Bard
45:41 perplexity and Microsoft co-pilot it
45:43 looks like Bard is going to switch over
45:45 to Gemini
45:47 Advanced um then you've got Pi grock
45:51 llama 2 then you've got image generation
45:53 tools then you've got video generation
45:55 tools then youve got music and audio
45:58 tools then you've got 3D worlds and
45:59 objects and then you have people to
46:01 follow if you want to get up to speed on
46:05 AI all this stuff is where to
46:09 start then we also have guilds so Peter
46:14 Kaminsky runs the AI 101 Guild there's
46:16 an Art Guild a writer Guild um business
46:19 AI mechanics if you want to geek out
46:21 Healthcare video and education and then
46:24 we also have an AI Irregulars AI
46:27 learning lab Irregulars Channel where if
46:30 you want to like jam out while I'm
46:32 joking and playing around tonight feel
46:35 free to drop things in the Irregulars
46:37 Channel as kind of like our classroom
46:39 jam session and there's also a little
46:41 chat are area there if you want to chat
46:43 outside of Tik Tok um but the Irregulars
46:47 the people that come to these things
46:48 regularly are amazingly generous helpful
46:51 people so so so jump in here and while
46:55 these lives are going on dump your dump
46:57 whatever you're doing into here all
47:00 right and so that's that that's the AI
47:04 Salon the salon Sam Korn I haven't seen
47:08 you in a while good to see you sir did
47:09 you see the leaked quantized mistal
47:13 models that was beating everything
47:16 except gp4 I didn't know it was leaked
47:20 no where do where let's go let's go to
47:23 the let's go to the X and see
47:26 what what they're
47:28 saying
47:31 leaked wait
47:34 leaked
47:36 quantized
47:41 mistol mistal CEO confirms leak of new
47:45 open-source AI model nearing gp4
47:49 performance it was leaked on hugging
47:51 face
47:52 around January 28th this was four 4 days
47:56 days
47:58 ago the the meiku 170b approaches gp4s
48:05 performance originating from llama 2 so
48:08 they took a llama 2 model and retrained
48:13 it the quantized version shows
48:15 significant open- Source AI advancements
48:18 so this is I I haven't played with it
48:20 and again I'm not I'm not really
48:22 following the uh I was playing around
48:24 with it and it's good says Sam
48:27 um I haven't been playing around with
48:28 the open source stuff
48:30 but if you if you want to play around
48:33 with it there's one to play with the m
48:37 mi-1 d7b so if we go to hugging face
48:41 right now I'm going to guess I'm going
48:43 to go out on the limb and say that's
48:44 going to be up
48:45 there hugging
48:54 face yep it's number one one so so right
48:58 here so what hugging face is is this is
49:01 a place where you can go get these
49:03 models so here
49:06 is it's number one on the site now do
49:10 they have
49:12 a do they have this up and running
49:23 anywhere you me
49:31 let's go see if there's a
49:33 meeku space
49:41 [Music]
49:43 anywhere no I don't see
49:46 it might be there I guess I could search
49:48 for it right search
49:50 spaces Mi
49:54 qu miky Q 70b was it something different
49:58 than
50:04 that that might be
50:21 it um forever hooked the the mighty
50:24 Network site is a i salon. mn. but I
50:27 send people to the
50:29 salon. because of the uh the GPT stuff
50:33 the the GPT for good stuff and for the
50:36 store so but yes it is you can also send
50:39 people there um all right so let's see
50:42 let me let me do my uh my uh
50:47 classic
50:49 um
50:51 explain quantum mechanics in and m in M
51:01 WP
51:02 error
51:04 retry error all right let's see let me
51:08 go back and try this other
51:14 [Music]
51:15 one explain quantum
51:21 mechanics in
51:23 an m in
51:27 am
51:28 WP error not working all right whatever
51:32 this is this this is the the challenge
51:34 with a lot of the open source stuff is
51:37 um you got you kind of have to get your
51:38 own [ __ ] up and running um and I just I
51:41 I do not have the um patience for it
51:44 first education Guild was held tonight
51:46 oh that's awesome that's awesome
51:47 Amelio's wife how did it
51:54 go
51:59 let's make a song with these last
52:00 prompts okay we can go do that so we
52:03 we'll we'll pull a little audible here
52:05 so let's go turn our
52:07 our our
52:10 uh our parlor trick prompt into a song
52:13 so if you haven't played with sun.
52:16 a
52:18 um this is a fun thing to play with and
52:20 then we'll go watch some videos about
52:22 about Google
52:24 Gemini so if you go too. a it was good
52:28 diverse group that's
52:30 awesome in the upper right hand corner
52:32 you say make a
52:36 song and then it takes you here here's a
52:38 bunch of songs I made I'm going to hit
52:40 create and then we just put in a prompt
52:42 so we're going to say
52:45 explain quantum
52:48 mechanics Inn MN M
52:54 WP all right
52:56 and then it's going to go oh no it's not
52:58 going to do that so all right so I can't
53:00 use Eminem explain quantum mechanics in
53:03 a uh see modern
53:09 rap a rap rap oh no here we go
53:13 create you can't put in someone's exact
53:16 name they don't like that it's not
53:22 good you'll listen up I got to drop some
53:25 s science oh wait it it made them even
53:27 though it gave us an error it made
53:31 [Music]
53:40 them get all crazy superos existing
53:45 place they connect it's inane
53:51 communication nice Jim made a song for
53:54 my wife for Val Val in's day that's
53:56 awesome that's
53:57 awesome um I've got i' got to do
54:03 [Music]
54:06 [Laughter]
54:07 [Music]
54:10 that World things get real SW it's all
54:14 my particles are small and bizarre
54:16 behave real weird like they're from a
54:18 distant
54:19 [Music]
54:24 star that's this first one was the
54:28 [Music]
54:33 one game
54:38 rules get all crazy superos exting play
54:42 cool all right so we made songs all
54:44 right let's go look at some vies some
54:47 vies oh let me show you this this email
54:50 so a year
54:53 ago I put out a Tik Tok video look how
54:56 intense I was good
54:58 Lord oh this was you know what this when
55:00 this was this was before I I realized
55:03 there was a place where you could change
55:04 your starting frame so all of the early
55:07 videos in the channel are just some
55:09 awkward version of my face like right
55:12 after I've hit the record
55:13 [Laughter]
55:16 button um but anyway
55:20 um so this was talking about this event
55:23 on February 8th in Paris last
55:26 year and this was the event hey it's
55:30 Kyle Shannon this is the AI learning lab
55:32 what are you doing february8 I might
55:34 have something for you to set your
55:35 alarms for if you're into everything
55:37 that's going on here um I used to be a
55:39 massive Apple Fanboy and so so that's
55:43 that's not this February 8th that that's
55:45 last year
55:48 but if Gemini Ultra Launches on February
55:52 7th it's essentially a year to the day
55:55 of that event and that event was an
55:58 absolute cluster [ __ ] so so um Chad gbt
56:04 came out on November 30th 2022 and then
56:08 you know did what it did it got to 100
56:12 million users in six weeks so by kind of
56:14 mid January it was it was clear this
56:17 thing was a runaway train so around that
56:20 time like beginning of January you
56:21 started hear actually it was end of
56:23 December you started hearing rumbling
56:25 that there was a I forget what they
56:26 called it a like a there was a red alert
56:30 at Google about chat
56:33 GPT and they were freaking out so they
56:36 they called this
56:37 French announcement meeting where they
56:40 were going to show all the cool AI stuff
56:42 they were doing
56:45 and it was bad it was just it was a lot
56:50 of like well we've got AI too we've got
56:52 AI in maps and we've had AI for years
56:54 and we vented this [ __ ] it was it was a
56:57 lot of
56:58 whining in in a sort of corporate speaky
57:01 kind of
57:02 way and then the one thing they were
57:04 going to demo the woman gets up to demo
57:07 it and she's like okay so we're going to
57:08 demo this new Ai and show you how cool
57:10 it is wait wait what huh what what do
57:14 you mean we lost the phone they they
57:17 lost their demo phone so she gets up
57:20 there to give a demo of this new AI
57:22 stuff and they didn't have the demo
57:24 phone and she goes go okay so I guess
57:26 we're not going to do that anyway we're
57:28 really cool with AI so it was it was a
57:32 [ __ ] train wreck so
57:34 anyway if a year to the day they come
57:38 back with Google Ultra and it's actually
57:40 or Gemini Ultra and it's actually really
57:42 good that should be
57:43 interesting but let's go
57:48 look look how pensive I'm looking there
57:50 I'm looking very Stern and serious good
57:53 Lord lighten up this is this is when I
57:56 so the early days of this Tik Tok
57:57 Channel I still thought you had to take
57:59 this AI [ __ ] seriously this is a
58:02 productivity tool you got to learn AI
58:04 you're going to learn it you're going to
58:05 you're going to go to school and you're
58:07 going to learn the AI now I'm like [ __ ]
58:10 it just go play with it doesn't matter
58:14 nothing matters it's all changing
58:15 everything you figure out is going to be
58:17 useless in a
58:19 month what's he talking about why is
58:22 everything going to be useless in a
58:23 month this seems very depressing
58:27 we're about to test the accuracy of this
58:29 a Mark roer I love him all right so
58:31 we're going to go to playlist so I'm at
58:32 the Google YouTube
58:36 channel
58:39 and let's
58:42 see you know one of the reasons we got
58:45 interested in AI from the very beginning
58:47 is that we our mission as a Timeless
58:50 Mission it's to organize the world's
58:53 information and make it universally
58:54 accessible ible and useful but as
58:58 information has grown in scale and
59:01 complexity you know the problem has
59:02 gotten harder so we always knew we
59:04 needed to have a deeper breakthrough to
59:07 make
59:09 progress I've worked on AI my whole life
59:12 because I've always felt would be the
59:15 most beneficial and consequential
59:17 Technology For Humanity human beings in
59:20 our society we have five senses and so
59:23 that's the CEO of Google CEO of Deep
59:25 Mind so so the announcement was made by
59:28 the you know the two top guys at Google
59:31 world we built in the media we consume
59:33 is in those uh different modalities so
59:35 I'm super proud and excited to announce
59:38 the launch of the Gemini era a first
59:40 step towards a truly Universal AI model
59:43 the Gemini approach to multimodality is
59:45 all the kinds of things you want uh an
59:48 artificial intelligence system to be
59:49 able to do and these are capabilities
59:51 that haven't really existed in computers
59:54 before so additionally multimodal models
59:57 are created by stitching together text
1:00:00 only Vision only and audio only models
1:00:03 in a suboptimal way at a secondary stage
1:00:06 Gemini is the multimodel from the ground
1:00:08 up so it can seamlessly have a th this
1:00:12 is actually pretty important
1:00:14 so this idea
1:00:18 that you've got you know like your large
1:00:21 language model your image model your
1:00:23 Audio model as separate tools right so
1:00:26 if we go back to
1:00:28 AI the AI salon and we go to tools and
1:00:35 resources you've got chat gp4 which
1:00:40 is sort of multimodal it's got GPT
1:00:43 vision and it can make images but it's
1:00:46 mostly
1:00:47 text a little bit of math and a little
1:00:51 bit of image but no music no video video
1:00:55 then you've got you know um Claude is
1:00:58 just text Bard right now is text and
1:01:02 image perplexity is just text co-pilot
1:01:05 is text and
1:01:07 image um although you can do some suo
1:01:09 music in that but it's through a plugin
1:01:12 Pi is text Gro is text llama is text but
1:01:16 I think that there are a bunch of
1:01:17 multimodal models in the open source
1:01:19 world based on that and then pose all
1:01:22 over the place there's lots of things
1:01:23 there then separately
1:01:25 you've got image generation dolly is the
1:01:28 one that's incorporated into the chat
1:01:30 models but mid Journey Crea Deco here
1:01:33 Leonardo and Firefly are all Standalone
1:01:35 image things Runway paa haen did and
1:01:40 Visa I've listed here are all Standalone
1:01:42 video tools and then music 11 labo
1:01:46 refusion and sound draw those are all
1:01:48 Standalone music tools and then 3D
1:01:50 worlds right so so we're very much
1:01:53 living in a world right now where all of
1:01:55 these models are these distinct things
1:01:57 that's why learning this shit's really
1:01:59 hard right now because this shit's
1:02:02 everywhere you have to learn all sorts
1:02:04 of
1:02:06 stuff oh night Sherry D night night
1:02:09 night sleep well um if you haven't seen
1:02:12 sherid D's night night iPhone just
1:02:15 dropped on my face again I I do that all
1:02:17 the time sitting there bang um good
1:02:21 night uh if you haven't checked out Sher
1:02:24 D's video that she made for the uh gen
1:02:27 48 competition you should go watch it
1:02:29 it's really really good and you can find
1:02:31 that in the uh in the thing why is
1:02:34 ideogram not on your list I pulled
1:02:37 ideogram off the list Dr bod I don't
1:02:40 mind ideogram but it it
1:02:43 is almost as good as Dolly 3 and Dolly 3
1:02:47 is incorporated into chat gbt and it
1:02:50 just it I was using idag all the time
1:02:54 because it was the only only thing that
1:02:55 could do text and then Dolly 3 came out
1:02:58 and it could do text and because it's
1:03:00 incorporated into chat GPT I think
1:03:03 that's a much more seamless experience
1:03:05 and so and that's why I'm saying this
1:03:07 this what what Google's talking about
1:03:09 here in this announcement that um
1:03:12 they're going you know full multimodal
1:03:14 from the beginning um is is actually a
1:03:18 really important concept and this is the
1:03:20 big shift that we're all going to have
1:03:22 to make where where right now we're
1:03:24 thinking there's a video tool over here
1:03:26 and a this tool over there and a this
1:03:28 tool over there and we've got to learn
1:03:29 all these different tools we are very
1:03:31 quickly moving to a world where all of
1:03:33 these things come together in the same
1:03:35 interface um and that's going to require
1:03:37 a completely different way of thinking
1:03:39 so again back to that that idea of there
1:03:41 are no experts this is why there are no
1:03:43 experts everything's about to
1:03:46 change I think I found mid journey in
1:03:49 the GPT
1:03:50 store weird no I don't think you found
1:03:54 mid journey in the GPT
1:03:56 store it's free though well so is
1:04:00 um um Dolly 3 inside co-pilot is free Dr
1:04:04 bod you can just go to um bing.com
1:04:08 create or just go to Coop pilot.
1:04:12 microsoft.com and ask it to make you an
1:04:15 image and it will and in fact Danielle I
1:04:17 don't know know oh she's not in here cuz
1:04:19 she's in the middle of the California
1:04:20 rain stuff um she's without power the uh
1:04:25 there's a new version of the Bing app
1:04:28 that I don't seem to have access to that
1:04:30 is doing all sorts of interesting things
1:04:32 with images so that's probably something
1:04:34 worth paying attention
1:04:36 to
1:04:39 um Barbara does anyone else get the
1:04:42 feeling that AI is going to be absorbed
1:04:44 so seamlessly
1:04:47 that worrying about it is going to be
1:04:49 like worrying about gears absolutely
1:04:52 Barbara
1:04:53 absolutely and that's why why it's worth
1:04:56 time to to learn it now and to learn it
1:05:00 in these piece
1:05:02 Parts is that as it gets incorporated
1:05:05 into the tools that we all
1:05:07 use we're going to be able to take
1:05:10 advantage of it faster and better than
1:05:12 people who haven't been playing with
1:05:14 this stuff absolutely that's where it's
1:05:16 headed this stuff so so a make make no
1:05:19 mistake AI is going to be like Internet
1:05:22 it's just there
1:05:25 we're not anywhere close to it right now
1:05:28 like we're we're in single digits of
1:05:30 people that use chat
1:05:32 gbt the fear about AI is equivalent to
1:05:35 Y2K on the
1:05:37 internet um astronaut I I would counter
1:05:40 argue that a bit I think I think the the
1:05:44 hype of the fear of AI is absolutely
1:05:48 there but anyone who has their Kevin
1:05:52 McAllister moment with AI this moment
1:05:55 is
1:05:57 counterbalancing that
1:05:59 fear and so with Y2K you only had the
1:06:03 fear right the the Y2K was just you know
1:06:08 the the clock is going to strike
1:06:09 midnight and planes are going to fall
1:06:11 out of the sky that's literally what
1:06:13 people were afraid of there was no
1:06:16 positive to it right there was no hey if
1:06:18 we fix all these these Y2K bugs good
1:06:22 things are going to happen it's just if
1:06:24 we fix all these Y2K bugs planes might
1:06:27 not fall out of the sky so the
1:06:29 difference here is you've got a 100
1:06:31 million people tried chat GPT I think
1:06:34 they're up to like 180 or 200 million
1:06:37 active weekly
1:06:39 users using chat GPT so if you take
1:06:43 let's say 10% of those are using it a
1:06:46 lot
1:06:48 that's 18 million 18 million weekly
1:06:51 users right using it a lot understand
1:06:55 what's coming and you know if you hang
1:06:57 out in this channel one of the things
1:06:59 that
1:07:00 you learn very very quickly is how
1:07:05 people are Reinventing themselves and
1:07:07 how there's this Joy about learning
1:07:10 about Ai and what it's making possible
1:07:12 for them that's different that's
1:07:14 different than Y2K there there is a lot
1:07:17 of fear but the fear is from people who
1:07:21 are not experiencing it you couldn't
1:07:23 experience Y2K
1:07:25 you know unless [ __ ] went South you can
1:07:28 experience this stuff now and as people
1:07:30 are doing it they're getting excited so
1:07:32 anyway let's let's keep watching this
1:07:34 because this gets into this is some of
1:07:35 the the the video that uh that had you
1:07:38 know has has controversy because they
1:07:40 sped some [ __ ] up and I'll I'll tell you
1:07:42 the stuff that we know they SP
1:07:44 conversation across modalities and give
1:07:47 you the best possible response Gemini is
1:07:50 our lest and most capable model it means
1:07:52 that Gemini can understand the world
1:07:55 around us in the way that we do uh and
1:07:57 absorb any type of input and output so
1:08:00 not just text like most models but also
1:08:03 code audio image and video what's
1:08:06 amazing about Gemini is that it's so
1:08:08 good at so many things as we started
1:08:10 getting to the end of the training uh we
1:08:12 started seeing that Gemini was better
1:08:14 than any other model out there on these
1:08:16 very very important benchmarks for
1:08:18 example each of the 50 different
1:08:21 subject there was there was some wonky
1:08:25 math in this but there was a there was a
1:08:27 way that they did the math that that it
1:08:30 was not Apples to Apples but it's still
1:08:33 essentially as good as GP that we tested
1:08:36 on um it's as good as the best expert
1:08:38 humans in those areas it's very rare
1:08:41 that you can work on a technology at a
1:08:44 foundational level and it simultaneously
1:08:46 can impact all our products that pick
1:08:49 looks like cubert it totally looks like
1:08:51 cubert look at that it's totally cubert
1:08:58 work on a technology at a foundational
1:09:00 level and it's simultaneously can impact
1:09:03 all our products we created a family of
1:09:05 models that can run on everything from
1:09:08 mobile devices to Data Centers Each of
1:09:10 which is actually Best in
1:09:13 Class wait Spike Jones AI is not product
1:09:16 development a process it was developed
1:09:19 decades ago this is the roll out uh I
1:09:22 slightly disagree with that Spike the it
1:09:26 it was actually rolled out years
1:09:29 ago machine okay the Transformer the
1:09:34 thing that makes chat GPT possible was
1:09:36 invented in 2017 neural networks and
1:09:40 machine learning algorithms were
1:09:42 developed decades ago but they've been
1:09:44 improving and improving and improving
1:09:48 2017 is is the core technology that all
1:09:51 of the modern Ai and machine learning
1:09:53 that we're playing with was built
1:09:56 on um open AI created gpt1 gpt2 and
1:10:01 gpt3 in
1:10:03 20
1:10:06 18 19 and 20 I think so gpt3 came out in
1:10:12 2020 and then chat GPT came out in
1:10:16 2022 chat
1:10:18 GPT is not the roll out chat GPT is the
1:10:21 simple interface sitting on top of the
1:10:24 powerful models that have been evolving
1:10:26 since
1:10:27 2017 so slight slight tweak to what you
1:10:30 said there do you think Bing's co-pilot
1:10:34 is as fast as GPT 3.5 it's not because
1:10:37 it's calling GPT 4 as the underlying
1:10:40 model it's not calling 3.5 co-pilot is
1:10:43 Microsoft's version of chat GPT 4 it's
1:10:46 just not as
1:10:48 good all right let's keep going here
1:10:51 Gemini will be available in three sizes
1:10:53 Gemini Ultra are most most capable and
1:10:54 largest model for highly complex tasks
1:10:56 Gemini Pro our best performing model for
1:10:58 a broad range of tasks and Gemini Nano
1:11:01 are most efficient model for on device
1:11:03 passas okay this is important so Pro if
1:11:06 you go to b.google.r
1:11:09 that's essentially
1:11:12 Google's 3.5 model the GPT 3.5 model
1:11:16 Nano which I actually think is really
1:11:18 interesting is a small optimized version
1:11:21 of Gemini for devices so the Sam Samsung
1:11:24 s24 has got lots of this in it and then
1:11:27 Ultra this is the big sexy one that that
1:11:31 everyone wants to play with
1:11:33 that is rumored to be coming out
1:11:36 Wednesday we want to provide the best
1:11:39 foundational building blocks and then we
1:11:41 know um developers and Enterprise
1:11:44 customers are going to figure out really
1:11:46 creative ways to further refine our
1:11:49 Gemini foundational models and the
1:11:51 potential is almost Limitless
1:11:54 so at Google there's this healthy
1:11:56 disregard for the impossible and that
1:11:59 has oriented us to be both bold and
1:12:01 responsible together as these systems
1:12:04 become more capable all of those
1:12:06 capabilities also raise new questions we
1:12:08 have to think about what it at Google
1:12:10 Deep Mind iterations of multimodal
1:12:12 capability this is I thought this was
1:12:13 the one that had the the
1:12:15 actual [ __ ] in
1:12:18 it you know one of the reasons we got
1:12:21 interested in AI from the very beginning
1:12:23 is that we always viewed our mission as
1:12:26 a Timeless Mission it's to organize the
1:12:28 world's information and make it
1:12:30 universally accessible and useful but as
1:12:34 information has grown and
1:12:41 scale yeah this is the one this is the
1:12:43 one that got all the [ __ ] but I I'll
1:12:45 stop and talk about stuff that I think
1:12:47 is is interesting and real versus the
1:12:49 stuff we know that kind of
1:12:52 fake let's start video highlights all
1:12:55 right testing Gemini here we go tell me
1:12:58 what you see I see you play okay it
1:13:01 can't talk placing a piece of paper on
1:13:03 the
1:13:04 table I see a squiggly
1:13:07 line what about now the contour lines
1:13:10 are smooth and flowing with no so this
1:13:13 is one of the things where this was a
1:13:14 marketing video and and everyone makes
1:13:17 marketing videos so so what it can't
1:13:19 what it's not doing is responding this
1:13:21 quickly and it's not talking right so
1:13:24 they're making it seem like it's talking
1:13:26 what they're doing is they they were
1:13:28 taking a an image like this image
1:13:33 uploading it to Gemini prompting it it
1:13:36 would give an answer and then they
1:13:37 edited it edited it together to do all
1:13:39 this but it's still pretty impressive
1:13:41 what it does if you discount the real
1:13:44 ESS of it and The Talky bits no sharp
1:13:47 angles or Jagged
1:13:49 edges it looks like a bird to me hm what
1:13:53 if I had this
1:13:55 the bird is swimming in the water it has
1:13:57 a long neck and Beak it is a duck yes a
1:14:00 duck is a type of Spike Jones I know it
1:14:03 was a fake promo I just said
1:14:06 that but it it doesn't mean it's fake it
1:14:09 just means it's not as slick as this but
1:14:12 what it's doing is how it interpreted
1:14:15 this stuff is is correct they just had
1:14:18 to prompt it in between all these of
1:14:19 waterf fell in the family Inay ducks are
1:14:22 closely related to and swans the duck
1:14:25 appears to be blue this is not a common
1:14:28 color for ducks however there are some
1:14:30 breeds of blue ducks these are typically
1:14:32 not as common as other duck breeds it is
1:14:35 more common for ducks to be brown black
1:14:37 or white are you sure what the quack I
1:14:41 was just talking about a Blue Duck and
1:14:43 now you're holding one it looks like
1:14:44 blue ducks are more common than I
1:14:46 thought would this float I'm not sure
1:14:49 what material it's made of but it looks
1:14:51 like it might be rubber or plastic what
1:14:53 if I tell you it's making a squeaking
1:14:55 sound oh if it's squeaking it's
1:14:58 definitely going to float H nice it is a
1:15:01 rubber duck it is made of a material
1:15:03 that is less dense than water can you
1:15:05 teach me how to say this in a different
1:15:06 language and give me a few
1:15:08 options all right I'm going to go look
1:15:10 at something else cuz there there seems
1:15:13 to be a enough people bitching about
1:15:16 this was a fake demo that let's go look
1:15:18 at some other things
1:15:21 um go back to this you know one of the
1:15:24 reasons we got interested in AI from the
1:15:26 very beginning is that hands on with
1:15:29 AI okay that's the one that's the
1:15:32 [ __ ] one let's see
1:15:37 okay uh uh
1:15:43 uh let's see if our multimodal model
1:15:46 Gemini can find the similarities between
1:15:48 images okay so so what I want you to pay
1:15:50 attention to here is let me go find
1:15:55 something at the end of this
1:15:58 video okay see all that see all these
1:16:02 pictures around the Gemini and the
1:16:06 logo I don't know I don't know if if I
1:16:10 don't know if they're releasing this on
1:16:13 Wednesday it would be nice if they did
1:16:16 but it's possible this is just an
1:16:18 interface but this is a really
1:16:20 interesting interface so
1:16:24 all of these images that are sitting
1:16:27 here that just look like a design that
1:16:29 is the interface for this version of
1:16:32 Gemini Ultra I don't know if this is the
1:16:34 one they're going to release on
1:16:35 Wednesday but notice I think she starts
1:16:38 in this upper leftand corner here maybe
1:16:40 she starts down here where these
1:16:41 balloons are but as I scroll
1:16:47 back let's
1:16:49 see where is she starting she's starting
1:16:54 okay with those two
1:16:56 waves so those two waves
1:17:00 are not on
1:17:02 [Music]
1:17:04 here are they no they're not on here but
1:17:08 just pay attention to what she does
1:17:09 she's like sliding
1:17:11 around an like an infinite canvas
1:17:14 interface multimodal model Gemini can
1:17:16 find the similarities between
1:17:19 images we'll start with these two the
1:17:21 bosis chapel and this print by h so
1:17:24 notice she she highlights these two
1:17:27 images and then it drops the prompt box
1:17:30 below that so she's saying I want to
1:17:33 prompt about the stuff inside that box
1:17:36 that's a completely different interface
1:17:39 if we get something like this on
1:17:41 Wednesday I think that's a big big deal
1:17:44 if we don't if it's just kind of like
1:17:46 chat G pt4 or like Bard that'll be
1:17:48 disappointing but not surprising and
1:17:51 I'll prompt Gemini find a connction
1:17:53 between these two images let's see what
1:17:56 Gemini
1:17:58 says a curved and organic composition
1:18:01 the building is more refined and the
1:18:03 second image is more fluid yeah that
1:18:06 worked okay let's try another one using
1:18:08 the moon and this golf ball on my
1:18:11 webcam then I'll run the same prompt and
1:18:14 notice she's like chopped that was a
1:18:17 video and then she's just chopped it in
1:18:20 half and so it's only looking at that
1:18:21 part of the image kind of interesting
1:18:24 okay let's see in 1971 the Apollo 14
1:18:27 crew hit two golf balls on the lunar
1:18:29 surface wow that's pretty good okay then
1:18:32 one more just for fun who wore it
1:18:35 better the zebra oh I like this the
1:18:38 zebra has been wearing its stripes for
1:18:40 millions of years okay there are some
1:18:43 examples of visual understanding with
1:18:45 Gemma so that's pretty
1:18:48 slick and
1:18:51 then there's one another one here
1:18:54 guessing movies this is this is one I I
1:18:57 think is is an interesting let's see if
1:18:59 our multimodal model Gemini can guess
1:19:01 the
1:19:02 movies all right we're going to start
1:19:04 here given the play on words and these
1:19:06 images guess the name of the
1:19:09 movie The Breakfast Club all right what
1:19:13 about
1:19:15 this Breakfast at Tiffany's all right
1:19:19 what about this uncut gems cool cool
1:19:22 cool so these are working here's a
1:19:25 couple more quick tests I ran
1:19:27 through Goldfinger nice bottle rocket
1:19:32 okay The Wizard of Oz nice
1:19:36 nice Moonrise Kingdom okay this last
1:19:40 one's a little more
1:19:41 complicated Forest gum okay wow I
1:19:45 honestly didn't think it was going to
1:19:46 get that so doing a little bit of
1:19:47 reasoning potentially again we don't
1:19:50 know what's real here or not but Forest
1:19:52 you know plus G minus uh whatever that
1:19:57 is the I don't know what the UMP is
1:20:00 there but minus B right um
1:20:06 so that's
1:20:07 interesting um let's go
1:20:12 to one other video
1:20:18 here potential of Gemini a common
1:20:21 problem scientists face is in and
1:20:24 then personalized AI for use here you
1:20:27 will see a demo of Gemini's multimodal
1:20:29 reasoning capabilities to understand and
1:20:31 reason about users's intent use tools
1:20:34 and generate bespoke user experiences
1:20:37 that go beyond chat interfaces let's say
1:20:39 I'm looking for Inspirations so I'm
1:20:42 going to pause here for a second so in
1:20:43 the upper upper um leftand Corner It
1:20:47 says bespoke UI
1:20:50 experimental so this interface right now
1:20:53 now just looks like chat GPT you have a
1:20:55 prompt box at the bottom and then it's
1:20:57 just a normal it's not like that
1:20:59 Infinite Canvas kind of screen so so
1:21:01 they're showing different kinds of
1:21:02 interfaces here but watch what this one
1:21:04 does this this one blew my mind for a
1:21:07 birthday party theme for my
1:21:10 daughter Gemini says I can help you with
1:21:12 that could you tell me what she's
1:21:14 interested in so I say sure she loves
1:21:16 animals and we're thinking about doing
1:21:19 something Outdoors at this point instead
1:21:21 of responding in text Gemini goes and
1:21:23 creates a bespoke interface to
1:21:27 help instead of just responding in text
1:21:30 Gemini goes and creates a bespoke
1:21:33 interface so it created this interface
1:21:37 this interactive interface with
1:21:39 scrolling boxes and you know images that
1:21:42 it
1:21:43 generated and it it created the
1:21:45 interface so Dynamic application
1:21:49 development based on your
1:21:51 request now is this going to be there on
1:21:55 Wednesday I'm guessing not because this
1:21:58 feels to me like a different what's that
1:22:01 say up there I don't know what that says
1:22:03 this to me feels like a completely
1:22:05 different experiment but know that this
1:22:08 is the kind of stuff that they're
1:22:09 talking about and then he talks about
1:22:12 let's
1:22:15 see what it does from a from a logic
1:22:18 standpoint is when you give it a prompt
1:22:21 the first thing it says is is a text
1:22:23 response appropriate or do we need
1:22:25 something more and then if we need
1:22:27 something more well what might that be
1:22:30 and then what might the interface be and
1:22:32 then it's got access to an interface kit
1:22:34 called fluffer I think or fluff
1:22:37 something I don't know fluffy I don't
1:22:38 know what the [ __ ] it's called um it's
1:22:40 got access to this internet uh interface
1:22:43 kit and it dynamically creates the
1:22:46 interface with the with the UI kit
1:22:48 populates the data and then and then
1:22:51 makes the data Interactive
1:22:53 um Brendan what would you need to see on
1:22:55 Wednesday for it to Dethrone chat GPT
1:23:03 um it's not going to Dethrone chat gp4
1:23:07 on
1:23:09 Wednesday
1:23:11 um if if what's if what's launched on
1:23:15 Wednesday is the interface where you can
1:23:18 put objects on it if it's if it's a true
1:23:22 multimodal interface that you can put
1:23:24 videos and pictures and highlight them
1:23:27 if it's that
1:23:28 interface that
1:23:31 alone it's all all used for the next two
1:23:33 or three weeks probably because I'm just
1:23:36 going to try to figure it
1:23:38 out if it's just like if it's like Bard
1:23:42 is
1:23:43 now and they're like now it's Gemini
1:23:45 Ultra it's going to be a much more
1:23:47 subtle kind of
1:23:49 thing
1:23:51 um so the thing that would excite me the
1:23:55 thing that would excite me if on on
1:23:57 Wednesday is if they
1:24:01 launch a common problem scientists face
1:24:04 is a need to find and use data extracted
1:24:06 from the scientific
1:24:09 [Music]
1:24:11 literature let's see if our M if they
1:24:16 launch that interface that interface
1:24:19 with all the crap all over it that would
1:24:21 excite me if they launch something that
1:24:24 looks like chat GPT I'm going to be like
1:24:26 ah
1:24:27 [ __ ] then we actually need to go do work
1:24:30 and like test and compare and see if it
1:24:33 can do code interpreter like stuff like
1:24:36 so so it's probably going to take
1:24:40 me I don't know a week or two just
1:24:44 [ __ ] around with it to go is it is it
1:24:46 as good here is it as good there and
1:24:50 it's like I doubt I doubt it's going to
1:24:53 be a clearcut it's
1:24:55 better but if it's as
1:25:00 good and it does some stuff that's like
1:25:03 new and
1:25:04 Innovative then all of a sudden then I
1:25:06 think we have two major platforms to
1:25:09 play with and I think that's a big
1:25:10 [ __ ]
1:25:11 deal right because right now as far as
1:25:14 I'm concerned chat G pt4 is the is is
1:25:17 the one to knock off the hill and I
1:25:19 don't think anyone's close to
1:25:21 it and so it's going to be interesting
1:25:23 to see how much of the vision that they
1:25:26 presented back in December do they
1:25:28 actually
1:25:30 launch the fact that they're already
1:25:32 apologizing for it and say well it
1:25:34 doesn't really work in not English and
1:25:38 um we're going to be launching more
1:25:40 multimodality in the coming weeks that
1:25:42 says to me that that they're launching a
1:25:44 a hobbled version of it so maybe it'll
1:25:48 be as good as chat gb4 I don't know I
1:25:51 always thought Google was waiting but I
1:25:53 could be wrong I was in that same place
1:25:55 but I do not think that's the case
1:25:57 what's up talk I they they they wouldn't
1:26:00 have waited this long they wouldn't have
1:26:02 waited this long they they so rumor had
1:26:06 it back to chat TMZ rumor had it that
1:26:09 they were ready to launch Google Gemini
1:26:11 at the beginning of December and when
1:26:13 they did testing in non-english
1:26:17 languages it did really bad so they
1:26:20 actually pulled the launch and they they
1:26:23 launched Pro and Nano and you know they
1:26:26 did what they did
1:26:28 because they knew that open AI was
1:26:32 launching multimodal GPT 4 in November
1:26:36 and so I'm pretty sure they wanted to
1:26:38 come after them
1:26:40 so I think they're just
1:26:43 [Laughter]
1:26:44 [Music]
1:26:51 behind
1:26:53 Al righty so what else do we want to do
1:26:57 um we can go play with chat
1:27:01 jpt we can go I liked not Googling as
1:27:06 much after chat GPT I barely giggy GG
1:27:11 mom I barely use Google
1:27:14 anymore what did I realize that I use
1:27:16 Google for
1:27:20 now oh the only thing I use Google for
1:27:23 consistently now is or let's not even
1:27:26 call it Google let's call it the default
1:27:28 search engine like you know I just go to
1:27:30 my browser and I just type in the thing
1:27:33 if I want the actual site for something
1:27:35 like if I don't remember if it's is it
1:27:37 perplexity AI or perplexity IO or like
1:27:41 what's the actual domain name I use
1:27:43 Google for that to find the actual site
1:27:45 that's
1:27:47 it I use Google Maps a lot
1:27:49 still um I search open AI same
1:27:57 yeah new poll okay we got a poll up the
1:28:01 poll how excited are you for Gemini so
1:28:04 you got a minute me chat GPT is enough
1:28:08 cautiously optimistic Shut Up And Take
1:28:10 My Money all right so the the pole is
1:28:13 right there I think well that's I'm
1:28:15 pointing to it it's a little angled blue
1:28:17 and white thing so go there you got a
1:28:19 minute left and let's go see what people
1:28:22 are
1:28:24 saying for Gemini excitement for
1:28:27 Wednesday if you're at all excited about
1:28:29 it um Google is the Yellow Pages Google
1:28:32 is not even the Yellow Pages anymore it
1:28:34 is unusable at this point can we check
1:28:37 out Runway we can check out
1:28:40 Runway you're pointing correctly Kyle
1:28:42 thank you so that's the poll go there go
1:28:45 to that little
1:28:48 thing right
1:28:51 there
1:29:01 wait what's Wednesday Wednesday we think
1:29:03 Maria the rumor
1:29:06 is the speculation is Google is
1:29:10 launching what they're going to be
1:29:11 calling Gemini Advanced they're going to
1:29:14 rename Bard they're going to get rid of
1:29:16 Bard and they're going to call it Gemini
1:29:18 Advanced which I think is a much better
1:29:20 name although you know I am a fan of The
1:29:23 Bard I have a degree in acting so you
1:29:25 know I like Shakespeare but it's hard to
1:29:27 say and and people don't know what it
1:29:28 means why can't chat gp4 read a PDF when
1:29:32 I uploaded it it should be able
1:29:35 to it should be able
1:29:38 to um I don't know what it's saying to
1:29:41 you the the problem with PDFs is PDFs
1:29:44 are a a [ __ ] [ __ ] show of of uh file
1:29:51 file types inside of another file type
1:29:53 they're they're a rapper all right 67%
1:29:57 of people are cautiously optimistic
1:29:59 about the Gemini launch 177% are like
1:30:02 shut up and take my money they're going
1:30:03 to be a Shut Up And Take My Money unless
1:30:06 it's just really
1:30:07 bad um and then 14% are like eh chat GPT
1:30:11 is enough we'll see listen if if Gemini
1:30:15 shows up with this Infinite Canvas kind
1:30:17 of interface and maybe you can switch
1:30:19 between that and a normal interface
1:30:23 I'll at least give it a good solid two
1:30:26 weeks I'll probably you know subscribe
1:30:27 for a month and then compare compare
1:30:30 both of them um yeah but we'll see it's
1:30:33 fascinating I have
1:30:35 GPT I have gpt's knowledge based that is
1:30:38 PDFs yeah the problem with PDFs is some
1:30:42 PDFs are like images scanned that get
1:30:44 stuck in a PDF wrapper some PDFs have
1:30:49 are all text some are texted images some
1:30:52 are a mixture of text images and scans
1:30:54 so they're very complicated documents so
1:30:57 it might be that you've got a wonky
1:30:59 PDF but it should do it you should be
1:31:02 able to upload it so if it it's
1:31:04 weird problem with pole asked whether
1:31:07 Armageddon would be bad most of us would
1:31:09 be cautiously optimistic oh well yeah
1:31:12 that's all right Rudy SEO morning from
1:31:15 South Africa good morning sir good to
1:31:18 see you welcome welcome welcome I don't
1:31:20 know if you heard it Rudy but um the the
1:31:24 the rumor the the speculation of the day
1:31:29 is that uh Google Gemini Ultra is
1:31:32 launching on Wednesday so we've been
1:31:34 looking at some of the old Gemini
1:31:37 videos let's ask Kyle to check out
1:31:40 Irregulars for Be not Afraid
1:31:44 please yes let me go
1:31:51 look
1:31:53 chicken
1:32:03 dinner look this is sweet the so so
1:32:08 Danielle Be not Afraid is somewhere in
1:32:10 California and without power
1:32:14 so so people are making
1:32:17 art art on her
1:32:19 behalf well not that one Al that one's
1:32:22 cute better irregular than irrelevant
1:32:24 very nice I love that here's here's
1:32:27 chicken dinner in the storm coming for
1:32:30 Daniel and then there's another stormy
1:32:33 one y 2K the sky is falling that's
1:32:36 hilarious Cory Sandler we're all just
1:32:38 making music together AI together means
1:32:41 we learn together jam out as we learn
1:32:43 this was in he first made a group of men
1:32:46 so I had to retrain it to give it women
1:32:49 nice beautiful Joker Joker with the
1:32:54 crazy the crazy things Joker's training
1:32:56 his own
1:32:57 model so yeah if you got interesting
1:33:00 things that you want to share with the
1:33:02 uh Channel just plop them in the AI
1:33:05 Irregulars channel on the
1:33:09 salon I love a
1:33:12 minor
1:33:14 chippy although that's more beagle
1:33:16 Champ's more
1:33:18 thuggy he's black and white
1:33:26 have you played with the notebook LM
1:33:29 thing Google's really thinking different
1:33:31 no I don't know what's notebook
1:33:36 LM is that the development environment
1:33:39 for Google I haven't played with it
1:33:42 notebook
1:33:49 LM how to try Google
1:33:54 experimental AI do your
1:34:04 best try notebook
1:34:18 LM oh I see so you up you upload things
1:34:22 to to it and then
1:34:25 it oh yeah I saw this thing so you
1:34:28 upload a data source to it and then you
1:34:30 can kind of grab notes from the data
1:34:32 source that you you uploaded to it yeah
1:34:34 that's pretty slick yeah it it looks
1:34:36 like
1:34:38 um it it looks like Google is doing a
1:34:40 lot of experimenting with interface
1:34:42 which is really promising um so this is
1:34:44 another one and and uh Todd Shaman who
1:34:48 spoke at the AI Salon last time a week
1:34:51 ago
1:34:52 he works for a group in Google where
1:34:54 he's doing uh experimental he he his
1:34:57 basically his job is to to do
1:35:00 experiments with with AI like go do
1:35:02 experimental interfaces so it looks like
1:35:05 they're doing a fair amount of this when
1:35:06 you have as many people as Google does
1:35:08 you can throw a lot of money at this
1:35:11 stuff so um hopefully we get to play
1:35:14 with a lot of those toys and tools but
1:35:17 you know a lot of times that stuff never
1:35:18 sees the light of day but this one's
1:35:20 cool that's pretty slick so this is
1:35:22 notebook lm. gooogle will get you
1:35:26 here actually this looks like. goole.com
1:35:29 but I think you can also just go to.
1:35:31 gooogle and it'll probably
1:35:35 redirect very cool I played with it for
1:35:38 about three seconds I know well this is
1:35:41 the problem with all these things is
1:35:43 it's just there there are so many to
1:35:45 play with it gets so exhausting so
1:35:49 quickly nope what's no notebook
1:35:59 LM I'm freezing I think I just changed
1:36:03 you you'll freeze if I change
1:36:06 uh if I change

1:36:29 Winston welcome welcome
1:36:34 welcome all right not enough hours in
1:36:38 the day to play Dr bod that is the
1:36:40 understatement of the century we're
1:36:44 we're
1:36:46 yeah yeah I just keep going back to this
1:36:51 this is feel feeling increasingly
1:36:53 important to
1:36:55 me is
1:37:01 um keep finding the joy in
1:37:04 Ai and how you find the joy in it is
1:37:08 play and then do that with other
1:37:13 people share it with people you know
1:37:15 that groove on it like you know
1:37:17 collaborate in here collaborate on the
1:37:19 AI Salon C collaborate with AI exchange
1:37:22 go to Ann Murphy's weekend GPT
1:37:26 jams it doesn't matter where you're
1:37:28 playing Rudy you had mentioned to me you
1:37:31 know you're kind of in a in an isolated
1:37:33 small town find Community connect
1:37:36 connect
1:37:37 connect
1:37:38 because none of us none of us can keep
1:37:42 up with this stuff like I pay attention
1:37:44 to this stuff every
1:37:47 day every single day and
1:37:52 I'm I am woefully like
1:37:57 woefully un
1:38:00 unprepared underprepared undereducated
1:38:03 undere
1:38:06 experienced and and what happens is I'll
1:38:10 watch someone who thinks differently
1:38:12 than I do or Works differently than I do
1:38:15 and I'll go oh okay next time I try
1:38:18 something I'll try that approach oh okay
1:38:20 they do it that way okay that's
1:38:22 interesting right so so the input isn't
1:38:26 just how do I use the tool the input is
1:38:28 how are other people using the tools how
1:38:30 are they solving
1:38:33 problems Kyle I did my first video with
1:38:35 Pika and show and tell so cool a dragon
1:38:38 oh cool let's go look at
1:38:45 [Music]
1:38:47 it oh I just got sleepy all of a sudden
1:38:50 people ah
1:38:56 [Music]
1:39:02 where show and let's go to
1:39:06 show Corey Sandler did a video in Pika
1:39:09 this should be fun so Corey Sandler
1:39:11 watching Corey Sandler work with these
1:39:13 tools is great oh that's great AI
1:39:15 learning loveb nice shaki
1:39:20 beautiful love that
1:39:24 one I wanted an image that each one of
1:39:26 us touches each other's lives in some
1:39:28 kind of connection thanks for this group
1:39:30 really appreciate the learning and
1:39:32 Community beautiful just done in do and
1:39:35 then painted that's
1:39:38 beautiful beautiful beautiful
1:39:44 beautiful K Mitch exploring chat GPT to
1:39:47 create super minimal images there you go
1:39:51 perfect that's lovely
1:39:57 Joker let's see if we can find Corey's
1:39:59 Dragon oh that's nice Papa
1:40:06 JJ
1:40:08 beautiful wow those are
1:40:11 nice here's Gemini oh that looks like
1:40:14 the 1984 commercial from from uh from
1:40:20 Apple that's cute
1:40:24 [Music]
1:40:29 that heart is amazing and an amazing
1:40:31 idea you really feel the emotion in that
1:40:33 image I totally
1:40:36 agree where's Cory's Dragon I guess we
1:40:39 could search for it I think it was right
1:40:41 in this area I saw I think I saw it
1:40:47 earlier oh that's
1:40:50 nice po 50 years into the future human
1:40:54 teaching an AI robot about its origin
1:40:56 story that's
1:41:00 great that's awesome oh that's nice
1:41:03 shaki
1:41:05 beautiful Monday say no more I gotta
1:41:08 tell you shaki
1:41:10 I I had like four meetings right off the
1:41:14 bat and then I had the afternoon free I
1:41:16 didn't get [ __ ] done today and then
1:41:19 Bradley who's one of the organized in
1:41:21 the salon he works in the same building
1:41:23 I do now and he came over to my office
1:41:25 and he goes do you have any tips on how
1:41:27 to like not just like do nothing for a
1:41:30 big chunk of the day and I was like no I
1:41:32 got nothing I did nothing for the whole
1:41:34 afternoon it was bad what are GPT jams
1:41:38 so GG mom if you go to the AI salon so
1:41:42 if you don't know what the AI Salon is
1:41:43 go to that URL click on the first link
1:41:47 that's the AI Salon Community read about
1:41:49 the community go to the welcome welcome
1:41:51 to the AI Salon read about what we're
1:41:53 about then join the community down
1:41:56 toward the bottom of the um categories
1:42:01 on the left is an area called clubs
1:42:03 that's where the Irregulars Club is
1:42:05 that's where we can jam you know here
1:42:07 like here's some stuff people are doing
1:42:09 tonight and then down in there is
1:42:12 weekend GPT jams and that's an Murphy
1:42:15 Host this group so this is her Club you
1:42:17 have to ask to be in it but she'll let
1:42:19 you in it cuz she's super nice and super
1:42:21 sweet and then every Saturday at noon
1:42:25 Pacific she does oh there's Ann Murphy
1:42:28 join us yeah see she's here so cool
1:42:31 Danielle I have power oh that's so cool
1:42:33 Danielle congratulations but we just
1:42:35 sent you a chicken dinner so hopefully
1:42:37 you get that soon it's going to be a
1:42:39 little soggy um but Ann's weekend GPT
1:42:42 jams are just amazing like 30 40 people
1:42:45 show up on a Saturday and they're just
1:42:48 there to help one another and she had a
1:42:49 guy last week um Scott was trying to
1:42:53 help everybody get their gpts talking to
1:42:56 zappier which ended up being way more
1:42:58 complicated than you know anyone wanted
1:43:02 it to be but that's the way it is right
1:43:04 now and then um the the week before she
1:43:07 had Danielle and Peter Kaminsky teaching
1:43:09 people how to make images it's just a
1:43:11 really really cool group are we really
1:43:13 doing nothing when we're not under a
1:43:15 timeline or or are are we mulling things
1:43:19 over I you know amilios I
1:43:23 today I was not mulling much I was
1:43:27 actively
1:43:28 avoiding work that was distasteful to me
1:43:32 so so I I I would give myself the
1:43:36 benefit of the doubt if I didn't have
1:43:39 just like I I was just avoiding [ __ ] I
1:43:42 was just living in a in a sea of of you
1:43:46 know fear and just stupid human [ __ ]
1:43:52 so and that's another reason I like
1:43:54 doing these things is it just it forces
1:43:58 me out of non-action right even if even
1:44:02 if we're not doing a ton like I'm not
1:44:04 doing a ton tonight we're just looking
1:44:06 at stuff and
1:44:07 chatting it at least gets me active so
1:44:11 I'm feeling better now than I was
1:44:12 earlier but I was feeling like
1:44:15 [ __ ] I was feeling like [ __ ] let me
1:44:17 search for Corey Corey where's your
1:44:20 dragon Corey
1:44:22 Corey oh let me look up Corey and
1:44:28 Pika not in weekend jams let's get rid
1:44:31 of that Corey
1:44:36 Pika
1:44:38 H
1:44:42 Cory tagged you in the dragon post Kyle
1:44:46 thank you Brandon all right let me how
1:44:49 do I where do I I got got to get out of
1:45:01 here all right generated by Pika oh I
1:45:04 did see this earlier this was really
1:45:05 cool Corey this is your first Pika so
1:45:09 Corey Corey's an artist beautiful Potter
1:45:12 and just really
1:45:15 discovering like
1:45:18 amazing how do I scale this bigger
1:45:23 guess I can't can I do
1:45:29 this really do an amazing
1:45:33 art yeah Pik seems to be pretty good at
1:45:36 at coherence there's a couple of weird
1:45:38 things in this but it's it's mostly it's
1:45:40 mostly tight there's like a weird little
1:45:43 magical thing that happens on the
1:45:46 leg and the nose kind of stretches but
1:45:49 you
1:45:49 know for a biological being I suppose
1:45:53 that's
1:45:55 possible it's very cool
1:46:02 though Kyle what is your fave GPT to
1:46:05 write music um so I've got two let's go
1:46:10 look at
1:46:11 those I've got two and they're they're
1:46:14 they're like I like them for different
1:46:18 things so for just fun songs with
1:46:26 words I think sunno is the is the
1:46:30 leading tool of
1:46:32 choice so on the AI Salon if you go to
1:46:35 AI tools and resources there's this list
1:46:38 of tools and if you scroll down to the
1:46:40 music
1:46:43 tools suo is right here and then I'm
1:46:46 going to also show show you sound
1:46:49 raw um which is a very different thing
1:46:51 but
1:46:54 sunno you just say make a
1:47:00 song and say
1:47:05 create create there we
1:47:14 go make a fantasy ballad about a baby
1:47:18 dragon in a magical
1:47:25 forest and that's it and then it goes
1:47:28 off and it'll write you two songs and it
1:47:30 writes the lyrics it writes the music in
1:47:33 your style with your topic and then it
1:47:36 sings it and it mixes
1:47:38 it and I don't have the paid version of
1:47:41 sunno so I think with the paid version
1:47:43 you can remix and I think you can do
1:47:46 longer complete songs I don't honestly
1:47:48 know like I I just play around with Uno
1:47:51 kind of like a parlor trick I'm I'm not
1:47:53 using it um super
1:47:57 great but here's wings of Wonder so it's
1:47:59 it's already written the
1:48:03 [Music]
1:48:06 song
1:48:08 Fly a tiny creaty spot the darkest
1:48:13 night with skill so pure a FY glow a
1:48:19 baby hate
1:48:21 [Music]
1:48:28 that the baby dragon took it's very
1:48:33 first
1:48:36 time with eyes still with Wonder and a
1:48:39 heart so
1:48:43 pure it's all right so let's go instead
1:48:47 of a fantasy ballad let's go make
1:48:49 a
1:48:51 um heavy metal
1:48:55 ballad about a baby dragon in a magical
1:49:01 forest sunno yes suu n o challenging
1:49:05 idea please create an AI Salon song oh
1:49:08 okay yeah we can do that challenge
1:49:14 idea oh I know what I'll do I'm going to
1:49:16 go over and get our little description
1:49:18 of Who We Are
1:49:22 um welcome to the
1:49:26 salon here we go community of
1:49:28 extraordinary AI
1:49:31 adventures all right so there's that
1:49:34 let's
1:49:35 see so here's the uh here's the metal
1:49:45 [Music]
1:49:48 versions see the fire
1:49:52 [Music]
1:49:59 all right so we'll go make an let's see
1:50:01 make
1:50:02 an
1:50:06 epic um
1:50:11 adventurous Call to
1:50:14 Arms
1:50:17 about a community of extraordinary ad
1:50:20 adventurers exploring the AI unknown
1:50:24 create all right here's the salon oh I
1:50:26 should have I should have named it dang
1:50:29 it well we'll do it we'll do it next
1:50:31 time a community of extraordinary
1:50:34 adventurers
1:50:37 called
1:50:44 called the AI
1:50:48 Salon uh uh uh
1:50:50 [Music]
1:50:55 uh exploring the AI
1:50:59 unknown
1:51:00 okay let's see the quest Uncharted into
1:51:03 the unknown into the
1:51:10 unknown standed
1:51:13 [Music]
1:51:18 as no that's bad
1:51:27 this sounds like this sounds like like
1:51:29 Christian rock wait we got to make an
1:51:32 epic adventurous Call to Arms let's do
1:51:35 like make an
1:51:37 epic let's see let's make an epic um
1:51:42 what's it called an epic
1:51:49 um
1:51:52 battle
1:51:54 song about a community of extraordinary
1:51:57 adventurers called the AI Salon
1:51:59 exploring the AI unknown okay here we go
1:52:02 here we go their definition of heavy
1:52:05 metal is incorrect I said heavy metal
1:52:07 ballad so we we can give them a little
1:52:09 bit of Grace there were at least
1:52:10 electric guitars in
1:52:13 it but yeah it was not heavy
1:52:18 metal it's kind of like sunno is kind of
1:52:21 like chat GPT where it tries to make
1:52:23 everything like a swell
1:52:26 song all right Brave explorers here we
1:52:29 go anthemic
1:52:32 [Music]
1:52:37 rock a feel this
1:52:41 Warrior side by side by side through the
1:52:48 air they B me go searching for wisdom
1:52:54 the secrets to
1:52:56 [Music]
1:52:58 onef we are the bra
1:53:05 [Laughter]
1:53:10 [Music]
1:53:11 us
1:53:14 together the
1:53:18 mysteries for just
1:53:23 all right that one brought a little tear
1:53:25 to my eye that one's pretty good I mean
1:53:28 cheesy good We Are The Brave explorers
1:53:31 the AI
1:53:33 Salon un unleashing our power we're
1:53:36 never alone that's that's pretty good
1:53:39 I'll share that one let's see how this
1:53:40 one
1:53:41 [Music]
1:53:46 is but Dreams
1:53:49 Come one more
1:53:52 St ready
1:53:54 to
1:53:56 [Music]
1:53:59 I
1:54:01 I
1:54:02 [Music]
1:54:04 feel
1:54:08 we
1:54:12 world
1:54:14 [Music]
1:54:17 the all right I think Brave explor is
1:54:20 the one so let's copy
1:54:23 this oops not we'll give it a thumbs up
1:54:28 copy the link to the clipboard will go
1:54:31 to we go
1:54:33 to um show and tell we'll go um our
1:54:40 new
1:54:42 Anthem question
1:54:49 mark
1:54:52 let's see hash
1:54:55 audio hash Irregulars post all right you
1:55:00 can go listen to what is it
1:55:03 called the brave brave explorers but
1:55:07 wait Kyle go to our
1:55:15 regulars oh here's another one unleash
1:55:18 the future all right all right let's
1:55:26 [Music]
1:55:27 see from different walks of life
1:55:32 stranger Bound by a for
1:55:36 knowledge searching for anwers in the
1:55:42 digital
1:55:44 place gued by a
1:55:49 hunger oh this is an AI learning lab one
1:55:52 this one's good um I said go for it Rudy
1:55:55 he says this the first one's perfect
1:55:57 makes me want to compile a video of Mr
1:55:59 Kyle's videos with the song have have at
1:56:02 it
1:56:04 man um let's see where is my back button
1:56:10 I don't have one because I went out of
1:56:11 there that's hilarious that's
1:56:15 great oh so cool okay so so that's
1:56:19 that's sunno so
1:56:21 sunno and you know
1:56:24 again are any of these songs things that
1:56:27 you would we just had the Grammys last
1:56:29 night with like just like you know Soul
1:56:33 wrenching performance after Soul
1:56:35 wrenching performance none of these feel
1:56:37 like that
1:56:40 but this is the worst they're ever going
1:56:42 to be right the this is as bad as it's
1:56:45 ever going to be and it's doing that in
1:56:48 what 10 seconds it used to take it a lot
1:56:50 longer to do that it's doing it in like
1:56:51 10
1:56:52 seconds and
1:56:54 so again if you look at the trajectory
1:56:58 of this technology if you look at where
1:57:01 mid Journey was 18 months ago and where
1:57:03 it is
1:57:05 today you know Flash Forward a year from
1:57:09 now with sunno these songs are going to
1:57:11 be remarkably good and you'll probably
1:57:12 have a lot more control over them and
1:57:14 things like that and can mix them and
1:57:16 match them and and do that okay so
1:57:19 that's that tool to the other tool that
1:57:21 I think is worth paying attention to um
1:57:25 with with this AI generated stuff is not
1:57:30 technically AI generated music but it
1:57:33 it's AI assembled music and I think it's
1:57:36 actually kind of interesting so the
1:57:37 site's called sound draw I haven't been
1:57:39 here in ages so if if it's completely
1:57:42 different in interface than what I saw
1:57:46 then it will
1:57:48 be
1:57:51 [Music]
1:57:56 come
1:57:57 on come
1:58:05 on creating
1:58:08 music that's weird
1:58:18 why
1:58:26 okay so so so what this one does it's
1:58:30 called it's called sound
1:58:33 raw horrible name
1:58:36 because I thought for the longest time
1:58:38 it was called sound
1:58:41 draw they make it in all caps but
1:58:44 there's there's only one D in it not two
1:58:47 so it's called sound Raw so it should be
1:58:52 big S lowercase o n o n d and then
1:58:56 uppercase R it shouldn't all be all caps
1:59:00 Dum
1:59:01 Dums
1:59:03 anyway you choose the length length of
1:59:06 your song so we need a minute and 30
1:59:08 song for a Tik Tok we want normal speed
1:59:10 music we don't want it fast we don't
1:59:12 want it slow and then you can select a
1:59:15 genre you can select a mood or you can
1:59:18 select a theme right so cinematic horror
1:59:21 and
1:59:22 Thriller um dreamy euphoric um heavy and
1:59:26 ponderous glamorous dark funny and weird
1:59:31 um happy so let's do let's say we want a
1:59:34 happy song for our Tik Tock video you
1:59:37 click on
1:59:40 happy and it just starts creating
1:59:45 songs and so there's 20 of them I think
1:59:49 15 or 20 I think it's 20 um and now
1:59:54 these songs
1:59:56 are are Loops like this is these are all
2:00:00 the this is just basically like
2:00:02 a like uh like Garage Band Loops that
2:00:06 are put
2:00:08 together and then you
2:00:10 can make them more intense or less
2:00:13 intense by just clicking on
2:00:18 them
2:00:20 [Music]
2:00:28 right so if you just need backing
2:00:32 music like royaltyfree backing music
2:00:35 where you can just you set the length
2:00:37 you set the tone you set the instruments
2:00:39 I hate guitars I love guitars like like
2:00:42 if you're doing a lot of the videos we
2:00:44 do in storyvine are just the music is
2:00:47 just there to set a tone and just to
2:00:49 kind of cover up some of the audio sins
2:00:51 in the
2:00:52 background
2:00:54 and this kind of music's
2:00:56 perfect and we went through an exercise
2:00:59 last year where we hired a bunch of
2:01:02 composers to write this music it was
2:01:05 [ __ ] torture and it took us two
2:01:08 months we had you know we interviewed 20
2:01:11 different people we selected three two
2:01:13 of the three flaked out the you know one
2:01:16 of them was okay you know one of them
2:01:19 just didn't do have to work the the one
2:01:21 of the three guys was good but like the
2:01:24 entire process took us weeks to get like
2:01:27 20
2:01:28 songs and like I can just come here
2:01:31 knock that stuff out now is that taking
2:01:34 money away from
2:01:36 musicians in in this case maybe sort of
2:01:39 but we don't have a huge budget for
2:01:41 music and and like this is a kind of
2:01:43 thing where if you just want to drop
2:01:45 some interesting music specific to what
2:01:48 you're doing in a Tik Tok video you're
2:01:50 not going to hire a musician to do that
2:01:51 anyway right so this this site lives in
2:01:55 what I consider this is music that's
2:01:58 good enough if you just need good enough
2:02:00 music this is perfect and if you're
2:02:02 hiring a musician off Fiverr that's all
2:02:04 you're going to get anyway you're going
2:02:05 to get Loop based music that they're
2:02:08 going to assemble and now you can now
2:02:10 you can assemble that stuff really
2:02:11 really quickly so anyway cool got a one
2:02:16 minute gangster wrap in the mighty
2:02:18 mods Mighty Mod's Channel about our last
2:02:22 Irregulars post okay let's
2:02:28 go there's something about the songs

2:05:04 lost
2:05:08 my is so raw re I mean and actually yeah
2:05:13 like like Ren's music videos a lot of
2:05:15 the music videos he does are single take
2:05:18 you know like
2:05:19 two or three camera single take
2:05:22 performances that are not overdubbed
2:05:24 like he's playing them live and hyren is
2:05:27 one of those I found out hyren they had
2:05:29 they they got that space just for like
2:05:31 they I think they had an hour or two
2:05:33 they didn't have that much time so they
2:05:35 got like four takes and it was the last
2:05:37 take that they got
2:05:48 this
2:05:51 step into Wick Studio the new web

2:07:26 we spoke bro I know you need me you're
2:07:28 the Sheep I'm the shepherd not your
2:07:29 place to lead me not your place to be B
2:07:31 off the hand that feeds me hi R I've
2:07:33 been taking some time to be distant I've
2:07:35 been taking some time to be still I've
2:07:37 been taking some time to be by myself
2:07:39 since my therapist told me I'm Ill and
2:07:42 I've been making some progress lately
2:07:44 and I've learned some new coping skills
2:07:46 so I haven't really needed you much man
2:07:48 I think we need to just step back and
2:07:49 chill Ren you sound more insane than I
2:07:52 do you think that those doctors are
2:07:53 really that to guide you been through
2:07:55 this a million times your civilian mind
2:07:57 is so perfect to always be Li to okay
2:07:59 take another pill boy ground yourself in
2:08:01 the sound of white noise follow this
2:08:03 10-step program Rejoice all your
2:08:05 problems will be gone [ __ ] d boy n
2:08:07 mate this time is different man trust me
2:08:09 I feel like things might be falling in
2:08:11 place and my music's been yeah so I'll
2:08:13 stop it there you should go watch it and
2:08:15 if you want to watch what's amazing
2:08:18 about this song is go watch the reaction
2:08:20 videos there there are probably at this
2:08:23 point hundreds of these things this is a
2:08:25 9 minute song it is [ __ ] crushing it
2:08:29 is the most raw
2:08:33 honest performance of
2:08:36 self-expression mindblowing music
2:08:39 musicianship and just writing and uh
2:08:43 it's so [ __ ] good he also has Ren Ren
2:08:46 has lyme disease my boys have Lyme
2:08:48 disease so he he's dealing with the same
2:08:50 thing my boys are going through so he's
2:08:52 got a song called sick boy talking about
2:08:54 Lyme disease and then his WPS are
2:08:57 amazing his street performances are
2:08:59 amazing but this video put him on the
2:09:03 map um so this is the video you should
2:09:06 start with with with Ren and then it's
2:09:09 an amazing performance it is an amazing
2:09:11 performance it's an it just and and like
2:09:15 I saw some people going oh what is this
2:09:17 you know um just go watch it just go
2:09:20 watch it it's it's it's really a
2:09:22 remarkable piece of music and
2:09:24 storytelling and performance like all
2:09:26 Allin
2:09:27 one um all right someone was asking
2:09:31 about Runway so let's go look at Runway
2:09:33 and then I got to I got to get on out of
2:09:34 here so if you haven't played with
2:09:36 runway yet Runway ml is how you make
2:09:40 videos well it's one of it's one of the
2:09:42 tools it's on if you go in the AI Salon
2:09:45 if you go to
2:09:47 the AI tools and resources it is the
2:09:52 First Tool in the video section and it's
2:09:55 first for a reason because it's right
2:09:58 now kind of the state-of-the-art
2:10:00 although I got to say p Labs
2:10:04 um I'm getting better results out of P
2:10:07 Labs but Runway seems to have you know
2:10:10 kind of the imagination Runway is also
2:10:12 doing an interesting thing with
2:10:13 something called runway. TV and they
2:10:16 just did this um gen 48 um uh contest
2:10:21 that Sher D participated in um so so
2:10:25 Runway is really interesting so
2:10:27 Runway you get here you log in you you
2:10:30 got to log in um I do I do not think
2:10:34 there's a free version of this these
2:10:36 things are not super cheap but they're
2:10:38 not bad what about Moon Valley on
2:10:40 Discord it's quite good Moon Valley was
2:10:43 one that I had in their R Rudy but I
2:10:45 took it out just because the the
2:10:49 doing stuff in Discord is I feel I feel
2:10:53 like people are punished enough having
2:10:56 to do mid journey in
2:10:58 Discord and I know a lot of people don't
2:11:02 mind Discord if you're a gamer you don't
2:11:03 mind Discord but the rest of humanity it
2:11:07 it's just a pain in the absolute ass to
2:11:10 do things in Discord so I just pulled it
2:11:11 out of there because Pika used to be
2:11:14 Discord only and then they they got a
2:11:16 website and
2:11:17 Runway was Runway I think Runway was
2:11:20 Discord for a while and now they've got
2:11:22 a website so if Moon Valley pops out um
2:11:26 out of Discord I'll probably put it in
2:11:28 here but I just I just kind of want to
2:11:30 limit uh the things so anyway what you
2:11:32 do with um with Runway is you start with
2:11:37 an image and so let's go let's go make
2:11:41 an image so we'll go
2:11:44 to chat
2:11:46 J and then we'll hop over to
2:11:54 [Music]
2:11:57 Dolly oops uh oh what did I
2:12:01 do the hell is going on where where did
2:12:04 I go oh there we go
2:12:09 Dolly where's
2:12:12 dolly
2:12:17 h there we go so Dolly this is a GPT byy
2:12:22 chat
2:12:24 GPT um you can do this within regular
2:12:27 chat GPT but if you do it inside the do
2:12:29 GPT you get two images instead of one so
2:12:32 I'm going to say make a
2:12:36 16x9
2:12:40 wide image
2:12:44 of um a
2:12:47 flooded
2:12:52 La
2:12:54 street with cars being carried
2:13:02 away and then it's going to go make us
2:13:04 some images and hopefully one of them
2:13:06 doesn't
2:13:17 suck okay fair enough but it's still
2:13:19 completely free oh that's a really good
2:13:21 point Rudy maybe I'll put maybe I'll put
2:13:24 Moon Valley in the video section because
2:13:26 it's free because this other [ __ ] isn't
2:13:27 although pika's free right now P pik's
2:13:33 free okay here's a cool one with color
2:13:36 all right so there's that so we're going
2:13:38 to download that did it download it as a
2:13:43 no okay here's here's something [ __ ]
2:13:47 up okay
2:13:49 in chat GPT if you click on an image and
2:13:52 you click download it downloads it as a
2:13:55 web P format and you might be saying
2:13:59 Kyle what's a webp format I don't
2:14:01 [ __ ] know but no one supports
2:14:04 it but if
2:14:07 you roll over the image and click this
2:14:10 download button right here see where my
2:14:13 little mouse is right here if you click
2:14:17 that download button it downloads it as
2:14:19 a
2:14:20 PNG although it said it downloaded it as
2:14:22 a webp again I don't know let's see
2:14:25 we'll go back to Runway so anyway you're
2:14:28 on Runway you say start with an
2:14:31 image and I might need to go modify one
2:14:34 of those images uh let me go to
2:14:38 downloads okay it looks like we're okay
2:14:42 all right so there's our
2:14:44 image and so I think what we're going to
2:14:47 do is I'm just going to oh we can try
2:14:49 motion brush with this this could be
2:14:56 interesting um tap anywhere to begin
2:14:59 okay so what motion brush
2:15:02 does is I can grab like that
2:15:07 car and I can
2:15:10 say let's make that go to the
2:15:14 right and I'm going to grab and I'm
2:15:17 going to get grab a so here's brush one
2:15:20 I can do five brushes I'm going to do
2:15:21 there's brush two so I'm going to grab
2:15:24 this car as brush
2:15:29 two and I'm going to go left
2:15:34 and towards
2:15:38 us so I'm just there's like little
2:15:40 motion controls over here then I'm going
2:15:43 to grab brush three and I'm going to
2:15:45 grab all these waves up
2:15:47 front
2:16:05 motion brush sometimes works really good
2:16:07 sometimes is a mess but that's all right
2:16:09 uh what am I going to do with it let's
2:16:10 see I'll
2:16:11 go let's make it get
2:16:14 closer and we'll do ambient we'll
2:16:17 there's an amb ENT thing I don't know
2:16:18 what ambient does but maybe it makes a
2:16:20 mess and then I'll grab brush 4 and I'll
2:16:23 do all these clouds we want some drama
2:16:25 in the
2:16:27 sky so let's go grab
2:16:32 [Music]
2:16:34 Sky let's not grab those
2:16:40 poles we'll leave that pole alone we'll
2:16:42 go do that and then this one we're going
2:16:44 to
2:16:47 do vertical coming down so the the
2:16:51 things will be moving
2:16:53 down and then I guess brush five we'll
2:16:55 do this
2:16:58 car all right and then we're going to go
2:17:01 down
2:17:03 and
2:17:05 left save Okay so we've put in some
2:17:09 motion we've got our picture and now
2:17:11 we're going to say generate Kyle saw a
2:17:14 message on you've moved on to the web
2:17:16 instead of Discord just wanted
2:17:19 to confirm saw a message on Discord that
2:17:23 you've moved to the web yeah we Albert
2:17:26 so if you're talking about Discord for
2:17:28 the AI
2:17:29 Salon we're keeping the AI Salon Discord
2:17:33 alive for anyone that wants to do mid
2:17:35 Journey images in there they can do it
2:17:38 and if anyone wants to geek out and do
2:17:41 Bots and things like that like Rudy in
2:17:43 here is a programmer and we've got the
2:17:45 the AI mechanics guilded so we figure
2:17:48 there might be people that want to geek
2:17:50 out on Discord so it's going to it's
2:17:51 going to remain for that but the primary
2:17:53 Salon Community is on the web at AIS
2:17:57 salon.
2:18:00 mn. for Mighty networks. Co all right so
2:18:04 yeah that's the that that move happened
2:18:07 about two and a half months ago um and
2:18:10 it's just because there too many people
2:18:12 don't know Discord right if you come
2:18:14 from a gaming background discord's fine
2:18:16 or an nft background um but if you're
2:18:18 just trying to like figure out AI the
2:18:21 the the last thing you want to do is
2:18:23 also figure out Discord and all of the
2:18:25 the stuff the other thing about Discord
2:18:27 that we didn't like about it is it's got
2:18:30 like a real
2:18:31 um like a legacy of anonymity and one of
2:18:35 the things that we wanted with the AI
2:18:36 Salon was for people to really get to
2:18:38 know one another so we encourage people
2:18:40 to use their real names so that's that's
2:18:42 what's going on there as well all right
2:18:43 let's see how we did
2:18:45 here all right here's our flooded la
2:18:48 streets unfortunately this is kind of
2:18:49 what it looks like there right now oh
2:18:52 that's actually pretty
2:18:55 good wow so look the sky the clouds are
2:18:58 coming down from the sky this stuff's
2:19:01 coming towards us I actually did pretty
2:19:02 good here that thing's going right this
2:19:04 is coming towards us and going left
2:19:05 that's going
2:19:07 left there you go that's
2:19:10 Runway this woman works and it's a
2:19:13 fabulous Community it really is isn't it
2:19:15 I'm I'm I am so
2:19:19 I'm like humbled and thankful every day
2:19:22 for the AI Salon it it
2:19:24 is it's an amazing Community I'll go
2:19:26 share this video in
2:19:29 uh in
2:19:31 there the other thing that you can do
2:19:34 actually Let's Do It um the other thing
2:19:35 that you can do with with Runway is you
2:19:38 can extend so this is a 4 second clip I
2:19:41 can extend this for another 4 seconds
2:19:43 and you can do that four times so you
2:19:46 can make you know I think 18 is the
2:19:49 maximum you can make 18
2:19:52 second videos now where oh extend
2:19:56 video yeah I'm just going to say extend
2:19:58 it I'll let it I'll let it figure out
2:20:01 what it wants to
2:20:03 do extended video is going to be 8
2:20:06 seconds
2:20:07 long yeah you can do it up to 18 seconds
2:20:09 check water cooler math questions please
2:20:12 water cooler math
2:20:16 questions
2:20:22 Chris MC gave this image to gp4 it got
2:20:27 it wrong every time it tried did it
2:20:30 again each time it would tell I would
2:20:32 tell it the bad news tried it and
2:20:35 co-pilot and co-pilot nailed it on the
2:20:37 first try
2:20:41 um
2:20:43 what what you could try Chris mcab with
2:20:48 with chat GPT so so chat GPT and doing
2:20:52 math it's not good at math just because
2:20:55 of the nature of how chat GPT works but
2:20:58 if you could if you could get chat GPT
2:21:01 to recreate that as whatever the
2:21:03 mathematical markup language is
2:21:06 basically just have it OCR that and then
2:21:09 have chat
2:21:10 GPT um do the math in code interpreter
2:21:14 and have it write a python script to do
2:21:16 this math then I think it would actually
2:21:18 do it it's interesting to hear that um
2:21:21 that co-pilot got it right that that's
2:21:23 actually pretty
2:21:25 interesting um but but I would I would
2:21:27 get that into into text form first and
2:21:30 then have it um use code
2:21:33 interpreter all right here's our 8C
2:21:40 movie let's see how weird it gets it
2:21:42 could get really
2:21:43 weird
2:21:46 actually it's decently
2:21:56 coherent I'd probably like I I have the
2:21:58 clouds coming down I'd probably have the
2:22:01 clouds go side to side instead of down
2:22:03 like that if I were going to redo this
2:22:05 for a
2:22:07 project it's Katrina I know it's crazy
2:22:11 right some of the some of the LA streets
2:22:13 right now are just
2:22:15 nuts anyway all right that's way all
2:22:18 right everybody I got to get out of
2:22:20 here um okay
2:22:24 so if you dig what we do
2:22:27 here if you dig what we do
2:22:31 here I want you
2:22:36 to come back come to these things
2:22:39 regularly the ones the people that come
2:22:41 here all the time are called the
2:22:44 Irregulars the ones that come here
2:22:45 regularly are called the Irregulars
2:22:48 go check out the AI Salon it doesn't
2:22:51 cost anything it's free we're not trying
2:22:52 to sell you anything apparently there's
2:22:54 some guy out there charging 500 bucks to
2:22:57 get into his dumb Community this
2:22:59 community is [ __ ]
2:23:01 remarkable and it's
2:23:03 free why because I think it's
2:23:07 important at some point we'll figure out
2:23:09 how to do all the monetization stuff and
2:23:11 we'll do it in a way that the people in
2:23:13 the salon thank you very much Winston
2:23:16 it's very generous thank you
2:23:18 we'll do it in a way that the people in
2:23:19 the salon can you
2:23:21 know make money do workshops things like
2:23:24 that but right now this is
2:23:27 about us connecting as people Angelique

2:25:31 know although you know
2:25:34 what you know what's probably going on
2:25:36 last night I was watching the Grammys
2:25:38 before I came on and like the first
2:25:41 three performances were incredibly
2:25:43 moving it was Tracy Chapman and Luke
2:25:45 com's like she has hasn't sung in public
2:25:49 in [ __ ] decades so she's on there
2:25:52 singing fast car then Billy ish does her
2:25:54 thing then Miley Cyrus wins her first
2:25:57 Grammy and gets up there and just has a
2:25:59 [ __ ] party singing her song she's
2:26:01 like I won my first Grammy and then I
2:26:03 think right after that I started the
2:26:05 live so I think I was probably just a
2:26:07 little but thank you for noticing and
2:26:09 having concern for

2:27:21 the gravity of her voice and just the
2:27:24 people around
2:27:25 her just
2:27:27 singing in deference to her it was just
