26. 6:05artificial intelligence intertwines with God Christianity and religion I don't know I think everyone believes what
27. 6:14whatever they want to believe I think that um to the extent that religion is based in language you have I I'll tell you what
28. 6:25what you can do with large language models that is actually really hard to do with with humans you can talk about all of those
29. 6:33issues with a large language model and it knows everything oh thank you very much don don fur Bal McGee thank you so much for
30. 6:43the the the parade of gifts this is very exciting for me they just keep coming um if you talk to humans about things
31. 6:55like Religion and Ethics and politics and all that sort of stuff it's just a mindfield of things you can't talk about or if you talk about
32. 7:06them you know you're going to be in a fight what happens with large language models is you can actually have a remarkably nuanced
33. 7:14conversation about the differences between this religion or that or this political view and that or this issue
34. 7:21you know there are certain issues right now you literally can't talk about them because the minute you say the word
35. 7:27they've you know they uh both sides of the news make sure that that uh whenever anyone mentions that word we're going to
36. 7:35hate them because we know they're on the other team right so I think that there is a nonzero possibility that's a very geeky kind of
37. 7:46term I think there is a non-zero possibility that Ai and large language models will increase um spirituality understanding
38. 8:00acceptance empathy compassion you know the stuff like those institutions are supposed to be about but sadly aren't in too many cases
39. 8:17so I think it could be a good thing but we're not going to talk about any specifics here nor politics because a I don't really give a
40. 8:28[ __ ] and B I don't feel like getting kicked on this off this app or you know in a raging screaming match over nothing
41. 8:37all right have you played with infinity AI Video Creator in Discord uh no I played with it in uh yeah I think I
42. 8:45played with it in Discord it here's the thing here's what they did like you could mock up Infinity video
43. 8:55recorder with about two hours on hey Jen making some models and a little bit of you know bot programming experience for Discord or
44. 9:08just have chat GPT program it for you so I think it's got the potential to be interesting so for those of you that
45. 9:15don't know what it is infin infinti video it it says script to video which is not really true you sort of give it a
46. 9:26topic and then what it does is it writes a five line script or six line script one line for each character on some
47. 9:34random set of characters that they have prebaked and they're and they're you know there's like the guys from the
48. 9:42all-in podcast are in there and I don't know there's other there's other people in there and it just writes the script
49. 9:50and then those two have a conversation so now if it took what you wrote wrote a longer script and choose chose people
50. 10:00out of history and dynamically generated them then it would be interesting but it's not doing that right now so I don't
51. 10:06think it's all that interesting grock AI is a no for me yep Gro well so there's two different GRS grock G gr okay from Elon
52. 10:18Musk as it stands on X is useless it's just a steaming pile of trash um the gq.com is a hardware
53. 10:34preview for grock AI chips which are they're large language model inference chips they're super fast so that's super
54. 10:43cool and then the fact that um the fact that Elon Musk op Source the weights of grock um to the developer Community it
55. 10:55remains to be seen if it's valuable or not it it's a massive it's a 314 billion parameter mix of experts model for what
56. 11:05it for what the specs are it should be way [ __ ] better than it is on Twitter but it's not so we'll see what the
57. 11:12developer Community can do with it what types of business is AI best suited to disrupt all of them and I know that's kind of a shitty
58. 11:24thing to say um any business that is computer mediated is how I'm is how I'm thinking about it any business that uses
59. 11:38computers which is almost all businesses right so it could be like wow my mechanic's not in doesn't use computers
60. 11:46well does does he take credit cards on his phone then he's using computers because that's going to change right how we how
61. 11:54we pay is going to change how he does marketing is going to change how he does his his books is going to change how he
62. 12:00does his taxes is going to change are you an accountant that's really going to change are you a lawyer that's going to
63. 12:05get completely obliterated are you in Creative Services holy [ __ ] [ __ ] are you a consultant are you a
64. 12:14project manager do you use computers if you use computers especially if you use computers to do your work you're going to be massively
65. 12:25disrupted now in what order I don't know like the creative the creative market look my watch is telling me I'm
66. 12:41operating in a loud environment if I keep it up for too long I could damage my hearing I'm such a [ __ ] loud [Laughter]
67. 12:55talker um the the creative industry right now is is quaking in their boots a bit and understandably so um I saw a really good post today on
68. 13:09LinkedIn though that talked about um that that the creative business was about to get decimated and it's ai's fault and he said but keep
69. 13:24reading and basically what he was talking about is that even though the way we do things now is about to get
70. 13:32obliterated what's coming is an absolute renissance explosion of creativity why because as these tools get better
71. 13:45and give us skills that we didn't have before everyone can be creative everyone can be analytical everyone can do data
72. 13:53analysis everyone right everyone can do all these things everyone can write songs everyone can do this the current status
73. 14:04quo if you don't want that to change you're in trouble if you say well I'm creative but I'm curious or if you say
74. 14:16well I've always wanted to be creative this sounds interesting what's happening is all skills over the next 3 to 5 years all
75. 14:26skills are going to be completely democratized like completely well not completely anyone who has access to these tools and
76. 14:35has computers is going to have access to the skills and so what happens is you just instead of high-end creative only being
77. 14:45developed by a handful of people which is the way it is now everyone is going to have the opportunity to do something
78. 14:52creative you'll still have an equal amount of competition in the marketplace for people's attention and really good work is still going to
79. 15:01rise to the top who does that really good work is likely going to change Bost asked me if I was in charge what I would
80. 15:09do with AI said a task uh SM team small team to put us out of business oh Cuna that happened oh that that's
81. 15:20awesome that's well [ __ ] far out for one thing so so cuno Works in a big company and she's been living out loud with this
82. 15:31AI stuff and it it it was weird it started with like people at lunch going hey could you show me Ai and then she
83. 15:38got invited to different meetings and then bigger meetings and and now the big boss said hey if you were running this thing what
84. 15:48would you do with it that's and her answer is I'd put together a small task force I would fund a small task force especially if I'm a big
85. 15:57company fund 10 or 20 people that are passionate about it that are um that represent different areas of
86. 16:06the business and I would task them with figuring out how to put the bigger company out of business and support him and try not to be
87. 16:23Kodak if you don't know what happened with Kodak do you know what happened with Kodak Kodak had some pesky little
88. 16:32inventors down in the bowels of where was it Albany Syracuse New York where where was Kodak Albany I don't know
89. 16:44and they went off and invented the digital camera and they went upstairs I assume it was upstairs to the big big boss area
90. 16:53and said hey big bosses look we've invented the digital camera and the big bosses were like that's cute there uh Skippy cute digital camera
91. 17:09pixels uh let let me educate you what business we're in here we're in this silver Halli [Music] business it's about chemicals here at
92. 17:22Kodak the more pictures take people take the more chemicals we sell we don't want these pesky digital cameras out in the

94. 17:39business so 2024 starts in my humbled opinion the first year of a series of rolling Kodak moments where someone like cuno goes

96. 18:02one and the big boss goes let me educate you on what business were're in here in Cav runo's case little missy although it sounds sounds like
97. 18:15they might be getting a clue which is kind of cool let me tell you something little missy we're in the derivatives Arbitrage

100. 18:48interpreter which is the so there's code interpreter inside chat GPT so a bunch of Open Source devs put together this
101. 18:55thing called open interpreter which runs locally on your machine and does [ __ ] it runs like it takes over your mouse and
102. 19:05keyboard and can run applications right and so today they announced a competitor to the rabbit R1 the little
103. 19:15orange thing with the push button that you talk to the internet or you talk to the AI and it does [ __ ] and it can do
104. 19:21[ __ ] on your behalf and you can train it to use apps well they announced a um an open Source version of that today and
105. 19:30you can buy the first batch sold out in two and a half hours I didn't get in on the first batch of that one I think I'll
106. 19:36I'll get in on batch two maybe um because I think I'm just going to order it just to have it just to have the first one um but it's an open
107. 19:45source you can download the server that runs on your machine you can download the code you can download the cad
108. 19:54drawings of the thing they built you can download the wiring diagrams of what to put together to make these
109. 20:01things and they're basically turning it Loose for people to use so I think it's absolutely [ __ ] brilliant and the way
110. 20:07they launched it was just it's like it's like an 8 minute video it demos the thing pretty well which is pretty much
111. 20:16what rabbit R1 did and they're having kind of a similar kind of thing I just want my Iron Man suit and robotic Butler
112. 20:24am I asking for too much no CH Chris I think I we're not that [ __ ] far from it I mean you saw the you saw the uh
113. 20:32you're an AI strategist I just added AI strategist to my LinkedIn profile um you saw the figure one video where he
114. 20:41hands the dude an apple right and then you know he's putting the garbage in in the garbage bin while he's describing
115. 20:48why he gave him the Apple cuz that was the only thing in front of me that was edible it was pretty cool
116. 20:55um yeah and then um the other thing the thing I'll I I I want to play with tonight is uh it looks like Runway
117. 21:05ml their lip syncing tool um is available for everyone also sunno the the music making thing that we started making the um the Broadway
118. 21:16musical with the other night um they released version three to everyone today so sunno is now at version 3 you can do
119. 21:24up to 2minute songs and they're they call them radio quality and I they're not quite radio quality maybe AM radio maybe AM radio quality but
120. 21:37they're pretty [ __ ] good and I I was just [ __ ] around with it today um because I just wanted to try it with the
121. 21:44with the 3.0 that they that they released CU I had a pre a preview version of it um and it actually made a
122. 21:52song good enough that I think I'm going to I'm going to put it in the musical if you don't know so so three nights ago
123. 22:04someone asked about making songs in sunno and so I went in and and made made one and it was good enough that I'm like
124. 22:11this sounds like the like the closing song at the end of an act of a Broadway musical and then uh where's the best

128. 22:44adventurers who are trying to figure this [ __ ] out so couple of things you're not a dummy you're not nearly as far behind as you think and
129. 22:57you don't need to be nearly as technical as you might imagine to be really good at this AI stuff we we we're in a new era that
130. 23:08started on November 30th 2022 so just over a year year and a half ago year and change ago open AI launches chat GPT before
131. 23:20that you did have to be a geek you had to be a mathematician or an engineer or a developer or a researcher or an academic
132. 23:29and really understand things about tensors and um uh eddings and the latent space and Vector thousand dimensional Vector space
133. 23:44and understand the math and waiting I mean if you're into that stuff congratulations I'm not
134. 23:59chat jpt marks a shift to the rest of us have been given access to these incredibly powerful tools
135. 24:14so you can just use your words you can just ask for [ __ ] and it gives you [ __ ] so the first thing I would do if I were
136. 24:22you is just go to chat. open.com you can go there and join that Community it doesn't cost anything by the way but there's like 13,400 people
137. 24:31here and it's a remarkable Community please go read about our values and make sure you resonate with them but it's an incredibly
138. 24:41generous um spirited adventurous curious empathetic grateful group of people and so you can come into this community and
139. 24:55be like hey I'm a bit of an I dum dum I don't know nothing but I'm curious that's it that's all you need this group
140. 25:03will welcome you in there's all sorts of there's there's four different guilds that have lots of different sub
141. 25:09communities in each one there's a little show and tell area where you can find people when you go there go to the
142. 25:15community section and introduce yourself and use your real name when you sign up for this community don't use don't use
143. 25:22your screen names unless you don't feel safe if you feel at all safe use your real name cuz we're entering an era where being in a
144. 25:32community like this one and being trusted and you know people getting to know you is going to be the key to getting work I'm I'm I'm
145. 25:4698.72% sure of that that that trust and relationships is going to be the primary way people get hired in the future not their skills
146. 25:58everyone's going to have the skills everyone's going to have the skills imagine being in a world where everyone
147. 26:05can do what you do now well I can't do it like I can do it okay they're going to be able to but what they won't be able to do is be like
148. 26:19you so if you're a good guy if you're a good gal if you've got empathy if people respect you if they know that if you say
149. 26:28you're going to do something you're going to do it you're going to get hired over the person who's an [ __ ] who maybe has been maybe is
150. 26:37better at the skills than you are but you've got Ai and you're not an [ __ ] we we are entering an era where it's a reckoning for
151. 26:47[ __ ] will there be regulation keeping from keeping people from lying to others that they're an AI or vice versa well so great question y
152. 27:00longma um I think the 2024 election is going to make it clear that we've got to do something I think lawmakers will try to
153. 27:13make regulations and they will not be able to keep up with it I one of my presumptions is is that after the 2024 election in the states
154. 27:24there's going to be a huge push toward tokenization and um blockchain verified identity so uh Sam alman's uh World coin
155. 27:37is one model of that it's it's one they've got a thing called World ID which is blockchain verified human uniqueness they actually scan your
156. 27:46retina I did it I have I have a uh a world ID um which right now is kind of meaningless but I think we are going to quickly quickly
157. 28:00um enter into an environment where you won't be able to trust video calls you won't be able to trust phone calls you
158. 28:09won't be able to trust videos on YouTube you won't be able to trust anything because everyone's going to be spoofing everyone
159. 28:18um it's one of the downsides of the really good Tech getting open sourced is that there's going to be a bunch of [ __ ]
160. 28:25built that like right now if I go to hey gen and I try to make an avatar of myself I can so long as I make a I
161. 28:36record a video on their software of me talking that they then compare to the Avatar I just uploaded and if they're
162. 28:45not the same they won't let me do it well that's cuz they're a commercial company and they don't want get their
163. 28:50their you know they don't want bad press from people doing deep fakes and and doing with it well all the open source
164. 29:00stuff they're going to copy all the all the same techn now that the stuff's all open sourced you're going to see open
165. 29:05source versions of all the tech so whatever guard rails companies would have put in place and that companies are
166. 29:11putting in place are just it's going to be fair game in the in the open source market so given that um I think Regulators will try to
167. 29:21regulate lawmakers are going to law they're going to try to they try to try to lock that [ __ ] down but I do think

174. 30:19funny I was before I got into AI I got into AI like two two two and a half years ago started with image stuff and
175. 30:26then I got and then when C GPT came out I lost my [ __ ] mind um before that I was doing blockchain and crypto stuff I
176. 30:33got I got involved in a project called neotokyo which is a crypto gaming thing and that was a lot of fun and I was
177. 30:39super enamored with it and then the more I learned about crypto projects and and especially the nft stuff and the crypto
178. 30:47Bros and then all the [ __ ] fraud and everyone getting their wallets drained all the time that's still happening I
179. 30:53thought you know what this is like these guys need to just go sit in the corner for a while and which is kind of where they are
180. 31:00right now and they're they're trying to claw back out of it right now but all of that Trading Card stuff
181. 31:12and a lot of the blockchain and crypto world right now is a solution waiting for a problem now the like the Bitcoin the Bitcoin guys will
182. 31:22tell you well Bitcoin solves the fiat currency problem which okay we'll give we'll give them that we'll give Bitcoin
183. 31:29that um but all the rest is kind of a solution waiting for a a problem compelling enough that you would go
184. 31:36through the pain in the ass of using the shitty interface of crypto and and wallets and all that sort of stuff it's just shitty right
185. 31:45now I think that the 2024 election is is is going to be the precipitating event that says we need tokenization which if
186. 31:54so if you don't know what tokenization is it basically means there's a Ledger on the internet that is immutable you
187. 32:01can't change it where when I get verified when when when World ID scanned my retina they turned that into a hash
188. 32:10they threw out the biometric data they just turned it into a hash so like a a serial number they then compared that
189. 32:18serial number to other people in the database to confirm my uniqueness to other people in the database and then
190. 32:26when I get the green check mark it says says okay the the holder of this wallet of this ID they don't even know my name
191. 32:33the holder of this ID is verified human that is unique from the other people in the database so now imagine having something
192. 32:42like Twitter where you couldn't have a Twitter account unless you had one of those verified IDs then you would at least know that
193. 32:51everyone on that network is verified human and then you can put a layer on top of that to say every time one of
194. 32:58these humans posts something I can verify that so I can say this human made this post on our little Network here and
195. 33:09then I can and then if someone else retweets that post that gets written to the blockchain and then you can look at that
196. 33:17thing and you can say did that post change from when this verified human wrote it and it got forwarded did it change nope it's the same one
197. 33:28so I can now track the forwarded post to the original post to the original person that's the kind of [ __ ] that we're going to
198. 33:36need sooner than [Laughter] later ah it's going to be crazy 2020 I'm mark my words 2023 the last normal year

211. 36:20of these networks is is going to win um or or I mean there could be multiple ones right it could be like alltech there's three
212. 36:28there's one big one and two smaller ones but um you know they're trying to get they they want to they probably want to get X
213. 36:40to adopt this they probably want to get Facebook to adopt this they're they're you know trying to cut deals
214. 36:47with like they've got a Discord client a Shopify client a Reddit client you can verify with World ID on
215. 36:56Discord so actually you know what would be interesting is we could we could do an experiment in the AI Salon Discord where
216. 37:04we could say hey we're going to create an area within the Discord that's just it's World ID verified or we could
217. 37:11create a standalone AI Salon that's World ID verified and you can't be in it without like like the neotokyo this this gaming
218. 37:22um community that I'm in you can't be in that Community unless you have a Neo Tokyo citizen so this would be the same
219. 37:29kind of thing we could create an AI Salon World ID you know blockchain verified Community right now there'd
220. 37:36probably be like four people in it but you know that's okay but I'll tell you uh you know what's funny is if if we did do that if
221. 37:48we did create an AI Salon Discord that was World ID verified and then all of a sudden just all of the internet just
222. 37:56becomes overrun with scammers and fakers and you just everyone's spoofing everyone I I bet that there will people
223. 38:04will be looking for safe havens where they can go interact with people or they know there's that that [ __ ] doesn't
224. 38:10exist I think we may see the beginnings of that in 2024 I think I think it'll ramp up in 25 26 but anyway if you're a

236. 40:15number of email accounts on their stupid [ __ ] email servers and just keep signing up if you can only get one ID per retina
237. 40:25or per pair of retinas you got two I could scam but the minute I get caught they know it's a verified person and that verified person can
238. 40:38never go back in that Community right so it just it just changes the game and especially if you're doing
239. 40:45things like you know verified person and then we're also tracking the content they they create and then we're tracking
240. 40:52whether or not that content has been modified by not them that that starts to be pretty powerful I'd like to be involved I've

257. 44:15that and they oh you know it steals from people too did you know it steals from people and it's going the robots are
258. 44:21going to kill us did you know that so half of the 25% is them why do they talk like that I I don't know cuno thoughts on Apple approaching
259. 44:36Google and Microsoft for llm support oh I didn't hear that today well well yeah yeah yeah so so so okay so here's my thoughts on
260. 44:50it um for one of the things that I read that I thought this sounded plausible to me is that Apple doesn't want to do it
261. 45:02if it's not great right and these tools are not great right now they're they hallucinate right and they're
262. 45:11janky and so this this thing that I read the speculation on this what this person said was basically we're going to have
263. 45:20Siri 2.0 is going to be like 10 to 100 times better than the current Siri which is it can't get worse right like so Siri
264. 45:27sucks so bad that that you know any Improvement is going to be an improvement but it's not going to be fundamentally different than current
265. 45:34Siri where it's it's essentially like a rag like R uh retrieval augmented generation where they're pulling the
266. 45:42they're they're coding it with question and answer Pairs and they're only going to provide answers that they know are
267. 45:48correct and then they're going to use chat GPT or Gemini for other for forar language model [ __ ] and and this the speculation was
268. 46:02well if Gemini hallucinates Apple can just go oh yeah well that's not our technology that's Google yeah I'm sorry
269. 46:09you lost your life savings because Gemini told you to invest in this particular stock and you drained your
270. 46:16savings and did it yeah sorry that's not us um so it's possible that that's what's going on um the amount of money that Apple has
271. 46:26and the amount of smart people that they have I can't imagine that they don't have some scary good
272. 46:32[ __ ] but they might just want to say hey you can you can take whatever Revenue you generate out of being our you know
273. 46:42preferred large language model partner for the next three years until everyone gets this [ __ ] figured out and then
274. 46:48we'll just we'll just sever the relationship and launch our real AI [ __ ] two years from now and it'll be really
275. 46:54good so it that's that's my guess cuz cuz Apple's too they're too [ __ ] clever to and and they also spent I think what did they spend
276. 47:0622.4 billion in 2023 on R&D and most of that was Ai and then they just killed their car product their their car
277. 47:16project the electric car project that Apple was working on had 2,000 people working on it they just [ __ ] canned that
278. 47:24entire project and all of those people are now moving to the AI division they're like okay [ __ ] it full
279. 47:35self-driving is too hard right now let's just go all in on AI so I think that's what's happening over there
280. 47:41so they're probably just not ready to launch something real this year so they'll partner for the next two years
281. 47:48and then two years from now they'll redefine the industry that's what I think will happen like they do I mean Zuckerberg [ __ ] renamed his
282. 47:58company and invested what $10 billion in those stupid [ __ ] goggles in the metaverse and renamed his company after
283. 48:04it and then Apple just set back sat back going it's cute and there were rumors for years when's Apple going to have
284. 48:12goggles when's Apple going to have goggles when's Apple going to have goggles when's Apple going to have
285. 48:16goggles nine years took him nine [ __ ] years to develop that thing 5,000 patents in it they launch it they don't
286. 48:24say the word metaverse once they introduced this new thing called spatial Computing and all of a sudden we now call the metaverse spatial

288. 48:46the doj opened an Anti-Trust lawsuit against them today ye that's actually probably a bigger deal than than the AI [ __ ] um

344. 58:29to a 10 billion doll investment in like at what four weeks um once they figured out that Google was on their heels they just
345. 58:37leaned in even further and then when they fired Sam Alman he he was heading up the the Microsoft AI division within 48
346. 58:48hours and then when they worked that all back then SAA just sat back and said all right well let's go let's go find the
347. 58:55next deal we can do I they're I I you got to respect the game right now man they're killing it they are killing it how's Pi today
348. 59:07scared to ask I think well Pi's fine right now I just don't know how long it's going to last they're never going to admit to AGI
349. 59:19if that stops the earnings well if they if they get to AGI the money will not be an issue it's cuz so so here's what what what
350. 59:36happens with AGI so if you don't know what AGI is Agi stands for artificial general intelligence and it's it's
351. 59:42generally at the point Google came out with a paper that's got six different levels of AGI but but kind of the accepted Norm
352. 59:53is when these systems are are as good or better than most humans at most jobs take that in like right now
353. 1:00:06gp4 is a steaming pile of [ __ ] compared to most human beings that use it right CU it's just not quite there it's it's
354. 1:00:15remarkable that it can get you to 80% like we went from systems just being processing tools right word processors
355. 1:00:26to generative AI that is quite remarkable but it's it doesn't have reasoning it doesn't it can't take actions on your
356. 1:00:37behalf and it and it's it it still requires human in the loop it's why they they that term exists you need to do human in the loop
357. 1:00:46AI what about when you don't need to do human in the loop that's AGI and so the minute they get to that they can spin up
358. 1:01:00businesses that make them money using all this technology and so can we all and so there will be no shortage of
359. 1:01:09investment and money we about to lose pie and Tik Tock WS for 2024 I know it's true although the Tik Tok one I don't I
360. 1:01:18don't think we're going to lose Tik Tok I think it's just going to be I think this is just an an extortion scheme a government a government
361. 1:01:28sanctioned lobbyist fueled extortion scheme if they reach AGI would they even be able to keep it quiet
362. 1:01:43um I don't know I mean the rumor is that they they hit something that got Sam mman fired it doesn't seem like it was some
363. 1:01:53sort of weird Scandal it seemed like someone got scared and the the employee that leaked the qar letter to the board Sam ultman
364. 1:02:07confirmed that that was a leak he said that was an unfortunate leak so and and and when Lex fredman this last week asked Sam Walman
365. 1:02:19um what can you tell us about qar it was the one time like Sam Alman will talk around a point for a long time right he's well you
366. 1:02:31know here's generally what I think of this and here's generally how safety works and when he got asked about Q qar
367. 1:02:38he's like I'm not going to we're not we're not going to talk about that it's like bang shut that [ __ ] down so it is
368. 1:02:46possible that they stumbled upon something with qar that might not have been AGI but it might have been
369. 1:02:59it might have been the kind of things you would see right before you get to AGI right so so you do it on very limited kind of
370. 1:03:10tasks and if if all of it so for example if if if with qar this is kind of what the rumor was if the math goes from like 60 or 70%
371. 1:03:23or even 80% to like 99 .9% accurate once it can do math it's it's game over once it can do re because math
372. 1:03:34requires reasoning so once these things can do reasoning even if it's relatively simple math that's different than what
373. 1:03:41we have now so I think that's what qar is so so if indeed it hit something that wouldn't be AGI but might be the
374. 1:03:49precursors to it with everything that happened and the fact that if you just watch Sam alman's response to what is
375. 1:03:59qar Boom not talking about that I assume what that means is there's probably five people in that company that
376. 1:04:08know that that are are now working on it in a room off to the side without any connection to the internet qar equals quiet
377. 1:04:18star so I don't know we'll see it's all speculation at this point though

389. 1:06:24November and they didn't announce this until this week that there was probably a couple of months of negotiation that went on there
390. 1:06:35right I bet that's some complicated ass deal maybe yeah maybe when something expire maybe when maybe it goes like
391. 1:06:44this open AI hits AGI it it cancels the commercial relationship with Microsoft and at that point it automatically
392. 1:06:51triggers something to just acquire the intellectual property of inflection maybe it's it could be some something
393. 1:06:57like that there are apps for virtual body doubling yeah well I you I don't think you need an app anymore now right
394. 1:07:03because you have these large language models and Pi's really good at remembering the stuff you talk about
395. 1:07:10so um I looked it up on Globe Explorer that's cool let's use Pi while it lasts yeah exactly it's amazing it's so good at it oh that's so
396. 1:07:20cool that's how I get stuff done every day all day is that why I'm not getting stuff done every day all day what is Agi AGI stands for
397. 1:07:31artificial general intelligence it is it is the moment not the moment think of so so I don't think AGI
398. 1:07:39is going to be this moment where like a light switch happens but it is generally accepted that a system has AGI when it can do um it can
399. 1:07:54do most uh forget how they describe it valuable jobs or most most like money generating jobs jobs that have value at or better than most
400. 1:08:09humans so when it can do your job as good or better than you then we'll then we'll reach AGI and it'll do that for
401. 1:08:17all professions artificial general intelligence right you can have an expert system that's way better at playing chess than the world's best
402. 1:08:27chess player but can you have a system that's better than most people at most jobs that's AGI and that's and that's
403. 1:08:36also um open ai's explicit Charter is to achieve AGI and in their Charter is when they achieve AGI their licensing deal with Microsoft
404. 1:08:50ends right Microsoft can use technology up to the techn techology that was declared AGI then it has to go back out
405. 1:08:58to the world is is what the Rel the the contractual thing is speaking of Dublin can we talk about digital Twins and how it works sure
406. 1:09:08um yeah let me go show you something so and there's there's so digital twins is a the term digital twins has been around
407. 1:09:22for a long long time and and generally speaking digital twins happen in the simulation world so Richard Boyd
408. 1:09:31who spoke at the salon he's been in um 3D um world building and simulation and AI for like 20 years and so his his
409. 1:09:43whole career has been around digital twinning so for example he's got a a company called Ultra Sim um which like
410. 1:09:52they get hired by the Navy to BU build a digital twin of a submarine like like a fullon 3D simulated model of a submarine where
411. 1:10:05all the dials work like the dials work and all the levers do what the levers do like it's it's a digital twin so the
412. 1:10:12term's been around for ages um there's be with with things like hay Jen where you've got these digital avatars that that
413. 1:10:27talk um of yourself for example like I can make a video of me talking where it's not really me talking I can also
414. 1:10:36create what do they call them streaming avatars where you can ask it a question and and my thing will talk back to you
415. 1:10:45the technology right there right now is really shitty but we'll get to a place probably within 2024 where it'll be pretty good where
416. 1:10:55you'll be able to you know come and talk to me and I'll talk back um but right now I just I just completed we just
417. 1:11:04launched a project for this company or this organization I'm a part of called content Evolution where I'm the chief generative
418. 1:11:11officer and we created digital twins of 11 of the professionals within um within content Evolution and I'll I'll show you
419. 1:11:22them and they're just they're just gpts we built on GPT technology show all articles here it
420. 1:11:37is so content evolution is the company we introduced these things called CPT profiles so the the C gpts virtual
421. 1:11:47professional twins of members of content Evolution and we talk about the value of them and um and then for each of of the
422. 1:11:55people that are part of the inaugural class of these um we had the digital twin answer the question what is the
423. 1:12:05future of work and so here's Kevin Clark who's the CEO of content Evolution and there's his answer to the future of work and
424. 1:12:13then I can click on you know the link and now it takes me to Kevin's virtual twin and so they all have the same conversation starter
425. 1:12:23questions and they're all based on so there's there's lots of different ways you can do this and and we we went around and
426. 1:12:32around and around it took us I don't know four or five months of of going down a a bunch of different rabbit holes
427. 1:12:42with these we we kind of knew we wanted to do it uh your twin how to Kyle your twin taught me how to make money with
428. 1:12:49chat GPT you can make money with ch GP um the first way we started was we were going to use Lang chain and we were going to go
429. 1:13:00scrape everyone's LinkedIn profile and we were going to use a PDF of the LinkedIn profile data as the knowledge
430. 1:13:08source for the GPT so what kind of data are you submitting for yourself that yeah that's what I'm getting to Source
431. 1:13:14Camp um so we we were going to do it on on LinkedIn profiles and we went down that rabbit hole for a bit but then we
432. 1:13:21couldn't we the developer we had got too busy and and and then the more we thought about it and looked at it like
433. 1:13:28some people had really complete LinkedIn profiles other people Barely Used LinkedIn and Linkedin profiles tend to
434. 1:13:35be just the professional side of the human being and one of the things about content evolution is it tends to be
435. 1:13:41people who are very very accomplished in the business world and have 20 30 40y year careers um many of them have books many
436. 1:13:50of them have you know blogs and you know academic writing and things like that so the LinkedIn profile didn't really
437. 1:13:59necessarily represent them so then we thought well maybe we go get blog posts and books that they've written and
438. 1:14:04things like that and we'll do them based on that and then you know then again we got back to well that's good but like if
439. 1:14:12they wrote a book 30 years ago I bet there I bet they've like even even the position that they talk about in that
440. 1:14:19book I bet they think about it differently now than they did 30 years ago because the world's different they're different right
441. 1:14:25and so what we ended up doing was we developed um we developed a structured interview and the structured interview has has questions about
442. 1:14:39um their professional life their educational life um cultural future um past trying to think what else um personal influence es things like
443. 1:14:56that and so it's I don't know it's 25 questions or so in seven different categories and everyone did that interview so we recorded the
444. 1:15:06interview in um in video then we took the transcript of that and that transcript is is the the knowledge source for these
445. 1:15:16things and then we probably spent about 6 weeks developing The Prompt The Prompt is a relatively complicated structured prompt
446. 1:15:25that you know basically gives these things behaviors like if someone asks you a question that's overly political
447. 1:15:32or outside of your area of expertise it it basically just kindly guides you back to the center right back to well here's
448. 1:15:41here's what I know about um and then you know and then we figured you know what are the what are the thought starter
449. 1:15:48questions that could be Universal across these things so like what is your why and how can you help me you know well what's Kevin like or
450. 1:15:59future discuss right like you know just sort of open Kevin up to talk about the future tell me about a current business
451. 1:16:06event um so if I click on what is your why and how can you help me Kevin will jump right in first thing
452. 1:16:13he says is in case it isn't clear and to set expectations I'm not the real Kevin Clark I'm a virtual twin anything I I I
453. 1:16:21say should not be attributed to to be a direct quote I mean I might even hallucinate so check the results
454. 1:16:27yourself so the first thing we do with these things is is do a disclaimer right because again you've got professionals
455. 1:16:33here who've got reputations in the professional world and they don't want some reporter doing an interview like
456. 1:16:40like Kevin Roose did with Bing and it making the cover of the New York Times Like that's likely not going to happen
457. 1:16:46here and it would probably be good for people to have that kind of publicity um but but someone doesn't want to be
458. 1:16:52misquoted right well you're virtual twins said this so we started with that let's see what what motivates me um
459. 1:17:00deeply both professionally and personally is is what I like to call business metaphysics he talks about that
460. 1:17:06all the time I'm deeply interested in the first principles of why entities exist whether it's in in whether it's a
461. 1:17:13person or an organization understanding and exploring and discovering the core reason for existence can unleash uh an
462. 1:17:21expressive capacity that's compelling and meaningful the process when properly harnessed supports research strategy
463. 1:17:28branding and creation of experiences like this is very dense with a lot a lot of big words that's Kevin like this is

509. 1:24:25seven or eight members of What's called the content Evolution collab which is the AI Skunk Works and so once we had a
510. 1:24:33list of categorized questions we just went through and said what's missing and and you know someone would say well that
511. 1:24:39question there that's kind of a dumb way to ask it but you know here's my favorite version of that question Joe
512. 1:24:44gaml shared one of the questions Joe gaml shared was um share your share your work history in three Acts
513. 1:24:55and it's such a great [ __ ] question because if you if it's like share your work history you're like well I went to
514. 1:25:01this school and then I got this job out of school and then I did this and then I did that and then I did that but the
515. 1:25:07minute you say share your work history in three acts you immediately go to oh it's a drama right and then you go oh
516. 1:25:14like I have to actually compartmentalize what were the major Milestones of my career and it just it just gives you
517. 1:25:24[ __ ] much better answer and so so we did that with all the questions and then once they were set up um we did we did two test interviews
518. 1:25:37and and did another round of edits on the questions and then and then we used those test interviews to work on the prompt and
519. 1:25:49that took us probably 6 weeks and then we did did two major iterations of the prompt and and then we started building gpts
520. 1:26:02and we realized we had to structure The Prompt more because it was hard to follow and it was hard to change out
521. 1:26:08stuff and so so now we kind of have a V3 of the prompt that's that's better for production this is your chat add
