Description

It's like xmas eve in July! WELL, tomorrow morning is an OpenAI announcement. NOT GPT5 but likely something like a browser or Operator 2. In a lively session of the AI Learning Lab, Kyle Shannon entertained viewers with a mix of tech demos, philosophical musings, and comedic anecdotes. He explored the evolution of "hump day," reflecting on the traditional five-day work week and its obsolescence in the age of AI. Kyle also shared his personal quest for candy cigarettes, presenting it as his "job" in a society where traditional employment is being redefined. He also discussed the upcoming OpenAI announcement, speculating on the potential release of a new browser or an improved Operator. Kyle then dove into a tutorial, demonstrating how he created a "sexy Kyle" and "Skittles Kyle" using RunwayML and 11 Labs. He showcased the process of animating images with performance transfer, voice changing, and video editing techniques. He also touched on Google's NotebookLM and its potential for content creation and curation, drawing parallels with other platforms like JellyPod. Throughout the session, Kyle maintained a humorous and self-deprecating tone, acknowledging the quirks and limitations of current AI technology while embracing its potential for creative expression. 🎙️ New to streaming or looking to level up? 0:26 You and I here all alone.
0:31 Sunday morning here at home.
0:36 Skes blue and a coffee strong. It's
0:39 true.
0:44 Then I open my eyes to a dream realized
0:48 in front of me.
0:52 And I haven't got a clue. What in the
0:55 world is
1:32 sound of you and I rocking our bodies.
1:35 Yeah, I don't understand. Why wasn't
1:39 your love a man 100 years ago?
1:44 Fellas, you're going to have to
1:46 understand. Tip their hats to the man of
1:49 scor.
1:52 Think I think I'm happy
1:55 like
1:58 don't know those words. Happy
2:00 like sleeping on the front lawn. Happy
2:05 like choir on Sunday morning singing
2:07 true.
2:09 Yeah. Yeah.
2:11 [Music]
2:21 Champions happy. Everybody happy
2:25 Wednesday night. They call that hump
2:27 day.
2:31 See, there used to be a time when we had
2:33 nineto-five jobs.
2:38 Remember that's
2:40 so long ago. So, and then what happened
2:43 was
2:45 everybody had these jobs, right? Which
2:48 now we don't thanks to AI. Um, but what
2:53 what would happen is this is we would
2:54 work five days a week week if you can
2:56 believe that. It would be like five full
2:58 days of like
3:01 well they would pay us for eight hours,
3:03 right? And we would work some some
3:05 percentage of that and then the rest
3:08 would be spent, you know, on Twitter.
3:10 And
3:12 but what would happen is we hated those
3:15 jobs.
3:16 We needed them because that's the way
3:18 the world worked, right? And we needed
3:21 those jobs. And so what we would do is
3:25 by the time we got to Friday, we hated
3:28 it.
3:30 We hate we hated it so much they came up
3:32 with a restaurant chain called TGIF.
3:35 Thank God it's Friday, meaning my life
3:39 can begin now. It's the weekend.
3:43 So cute. Anyway, Wednesday, hump day
3:47 because it's like this [ __ ] mountain
3:49 that you're climbing and Wednesday's the
3:51 middle of it and it's hump day because
3:53 then you're going to go downhill to the
3:55 weekend, right?
3:58 So, out of those five days, you kind of
4:00 work Tuesday and a little bit of
4:01 Wednesday and then you realize, oh, it's
4:03 w it's hump day. I'll just take the the
4:06 afternoon off.
4:08 It was fantastic until we all got fired.
4:12 Yeah.
4:14 Anyway, that was the origin of hump day.
4:16 I thought it'd be cute to share in the
4:18 in the before time when we when there
4:21 were jobs. Yeah. Yeah. Now we just we
4:25 just play guitar and drink Frappuccinos.
4:28 It's it's uh we're in the cognitive
4:32 super abundance era, I guess, where just
4:34 the uh the GDP's off the charts. No
4:36 one's doing anything. Productivity's
4:38 through the roof, but we're not
4:40 producing.
4:44 You know what? I like candy cigarettes.
4:47 Fantastic, Bob. Yeah, I love those candy
4:49 cigarettes because the real cigarettes
4:51 are stinky and I they give me bad
4:53 breath, but the candy ones I love. And
4:55 it's just I kind of what I pretend is
4:57 like it's my job to go find stores that
5:01 have them. And so I'll just I'll go on
5:03 walks. Sometimes I'll ride a bike or
5:05 I'll take I'll take an electric, you
5:08 know, vehicle that I don't drive because
5:10 we don't drive anymore, but uh the the
5:12 electric vehicle that that you know that
5:15 the neighborhood owns together will come
5:17 and pick me up and then we'll just tood
5:19 around the stores uh where I buy the
5:22 candy cigarettes from from robots.
5:26 And sure, I mean, I could have the
5:27 robots just deliver the candy
5:29 cigarettes, but that's no like I see I
5:30 think of it like my job now. That's my
5:32 job because jobs are, you know.
5:41 All right.
5:45 It's like a little comedy routine here,
5:48 except it's not funny. It It's kind of
5:51 disturbing.
5:58 Oh, man. All right. Go share go share
6:01 the uh go share the live with all your
6:03 friends. We got to get some more people
6:04 in here. We can't have standup comedy
6:07 night with no audience.
6:15 [Music]
6:48 Woohoo!
6:52 [Music]
7:02 I love you.

7:52 I wish I may, wish I might not see what
7:56 I see.

9:02 Hello.
9:03 [Music]
9:10 Oh, don't you pick on me.
9:18 [Music]
9:32 There's been something baby I haven't
9:35 tried to say.
9:36 [Music]
9:38 What age? It seems I don't know how
9:44 with a past and a future now surrounding
9:47 me.
9:50 Surrender to whatever you threw can be
9:52 found.
9:55 There's been a little trouble
9:58 since you came to my rescue.
10:01 [Music]
10:05 And if you like all of the rest, I would
10:08 have quit you long ago, but I couldn't
10:10 do that.
10:15 Oh, tell me now women and I never went
10:19 too well. Man, my voice is thin tonight.
10:22 It is thin and tired. It's tired,
10:25 people. You know why it's tired? Cuz
10:27 it's hump day. It's hump day. It's the
10:30 middle of the week. It's the grind.
10:32 We're in the middle of the grind. We
10:34 can't believe we got to the end of the
10:35 middle of the week. Just dreaming of the
10:38 day we get to Friday for the weekend so
10:39 we can begin our lives.
10:42 Wait, I'm doing lives five nights a
10:44 week. When does my life start? When does
10:46 my life start?
10:48 Marge? Marge isn't here. She's playing
10:52 bridge with the gals. What do I do?
10:57 You could stop overacting.
10:59 I don't understand.
11:02 Clearly,
11:08 apparently, it's unwritten skit night
11:10 here at the AI Learning Lab. If you're
11:12 new here, my name is Kyle Shannon. I'm
11:14 the central performer in this circus.
11:17 [Laughter]
11:20 Oh, if you're here thinking, "Oh, I'm
11:23 going to learn something because it's
11:24 called the learning lab." M
11:28 yeah about that. Uh temper the
11:32 expectations and uh if you drop them
11:34 right down there to zero,
11:37 things can only get better, right?
11:43 Yeah. Yeah. You know. All right.
11:47 Philosophical night.
11:53 Hey, Joy Party. I made an act two thing
11:55 in runway today. Hey Joy, do you know uh
11:59 I asked Grock and Grock told me, but I
12:01 don't believe it because I don't believe
12:02 anything AI says anymore. Grock told me
12:05 that um act two in Runway does 30 second
12:09 clips. Is that true? Do you know? If it
12:12 does, we'll we'll make one tonight.
12:24 Oh, Joy Pretty doesn't know. She doesn't
12:27 know. Fine, we'll figure it out. We'll
12:30 do it live. We'll do it live. Um
12:34 [Music]
12:56 [Applause]
12:56 [Music]
13:27 She came on here like slow moving cold
13:32 front.
13:34 [Music]
13:36 Love to sit next to you while I shiver
13:40 and shake.
13:45 And if I knew love, well, I don't think
13:48 I'd be here.
13:53 Asking myself if I've got what it takes.
14:01 You said I have melted some in my time,
14:06 dear.
14:09 But to sit next to you, well, I shiver
14:13 and shake.
14:18 And if I knew love, well, I don't think
14:21 I'd be here
14:24 [Music]
14:26 asking myself if I've got what it takes.
14:30 [Applause]
14:34 I do your icy blue heart. Should
14:40 [Music]
14:43 I stop?
14:46 Turn what's been frozen for
14:49 years
14:53 into a river of tears.
15:00 Um, all right. So, we're going to do
15:03 some stuff tonight. Tomorrow morning
15:05 we're going to do Oh, there's a big long
15:07 post there. Did I just get flamed? What
15:09 is this post? Who did it? Who's telling
15:12 me I'm just stealing from people?
15:15 >> You should really read the sticky notes,
15:16 Kyle.
15:18 >> Okay.
15:20 Wait, where is the sticky note? I've
15:22 lost my sticky note.
15:24 >> That might be why you're not responding
15:25 to them.
15:26 >> Ah, yes. They disappeared. Okay, got it.
15:31 Beautiful. Spamorific. It's spam spam
15:34 spam spam spam spam spam spam spam spam
15:37 spam spam spam spam spam spam.
15:41 Fantastic Bob.
15:44 I thought this was the AI lab. Yes,
15:46 exactly.
15:48 [Music]
15:52 Uh the podcast today was quite good. We
15:54 had uh we had Vicky Baptist on. We
15:56 talked about the AI readiness uh
15:59 training program.
16:02 which is now live if you go to are you
16:04 readyforai.com
16:07 [Music]
16:16 oh sea slug of doom the the perplexity
16:19 said 30 seconds for for act two that
16:22 would be good because act act one was
16:24 only eight seconds I think which was
16:26 fine but it's a little short
16:28 hello
16:30 Becky R is in the house. Good evening,
16:33 Becca. Rebecca, Rebecca, Rebecca,
16:36 listen. Tonight is going to be a night
16:39 of silliness. Silliness and hi jigs.
16:50 [Music]
16:57 All right. Fantastic. What are we doing
16:59 here, people? What are we doing? Let me
17:02 get rid of that. Hang on.
17:08 [Music]
17:15 Which water bottle for Bllandons? Oh,
17:17 for me?
17:20 Do I seem a little drunky? Yeah, I'm
17:22 just in a kind of silly mood. I'm just
17:25 in a silly mood.
17:28 Oh, what I was going to say, um,
17:32 yeah, pre-hat GBT launch night. So, let
17:36 me go over here and show you something.
17:39 So, this here thing,
17:42 this here little movie
17:46 is from Open AI.
17:49 So, notice click, click, click, click,
17:53 click opens a window. I'm thinking I'm
17:57 thinking that this is a little sneak
17:59 peek of what they're gonna launch
18:01 tomorrow, which could be a browser. It
18:04 could be operator 2.0. Maybe like a
18:08 version of Operator that doesn't suck.
18:10 Um
18:12 Brandon had another rumor. I don't think
18:15 it's going to be GPT5 tomorrow. I think
18:18 that's pretty much confirmed, but we
18:21 will be going live on this year channel.
18:23 Um,
18:26 wait a minute.
18:28 Let me see if that's actually true. That
18:30 might not be true.
18:32 [Music]
18:37 Thursday.
18:40 Yeah, that could be true. We could We
18:41 could probably swing it tomorrow. I got
18:43 to go to the uh the Bank of America
18:46 there. Got to go to the Bank of America
18:49 and get a little account straightened
18:50 out if you know what I mean. Welcome to
18:53 Wacky Wednesday,
18:55 where our uh our fearless leader seems
18:58 to have lost his ever loving mind.
19:02 That's fantastic. That's fantastic. No,
19:05 you know, I'll tell you what. Sometimes
19:07 what I do is I'll go to that their AI
19:09 learning lab and and I'll put on, you
19:12 know, I'll put on like the TV like the
19:15 cop shows where they, you know, they're
19:17 following the cops around and I'll I'll
19:19 I'll turn the sound up on the cop show
19:22 and I'll turn it down on the AI learning
19:24 lab because I don't learn anything there
19:26 anyway. But sometimes he'll wear a pink
19:28 bow or something or he'll show something
19:30 nice, you know, like something on the AI
19:33 or something like that and I'll look at
19:34 that. But then I listen to the cop show
19:36 and then sometimes it's funny because it
19:38 the way his mouth moves it'll go with
19:41 the cops saying you know hey there
19:44 Jethro come out of the trailer you know
19:46 they're like you know they're like put
19:48 your shirt back on Jethro because nobody
19:50 wants to see that because you know he's
19:53 big and anyway and but it'll sometimes
19:56 look like the AI learning lab is is like
19:58 you know yelling at Jethro and that's
20:00 kind of funny. I'll do that. I'll do
20:02 that. That's that's why I like the AI
20:04 learning lab is is
20:08 I I don't really know why I like it. I
20:10 just I think I'm in a habit, you know.
20:12 You know, sometimes you just you go
20:14 through a phase of like boxed macaroni
20:16 and cheese.
20:18 I get the generic kind
20:22 and then you know sometimes it's just
20:24 months and that's all you eat, right?
20:26 And that's I think I think that's why I
20:28 watch the AI learning lab is just it's
20:30 kind of like macaroni and cheese. It
20:33 kind of tastes good, but then like an
20:35 hour later you're a little queasy. Yeah.
20:37 You know. Yeah. Yeah. That's that's
20:40 pretty much that. All right. Wait,
20:42 Brandon, hang on. Breaking. Brandon has
20:45 some chat. TMZ.
20:47 What is the rumor?
20:48 >> So, this is this is unconfirmed.
20:50 Unsubstantiated. And I can either
20:52 confirm or deny. That's all we do here
20:55 is unconfirmed.
20:58 >> But uh Josh Sizzley um who I don't know
21:03 has a hot take on the Twitter or some
21:07 people call it X. Um judging by the
21:09 moving cursor, I'm willing to bet they
21:12 bought cursor.
21:14 >> Windsor fell through so they bought
21:16 cursor instead.
21:18 >> Oh, that's interesting. That's totally
21:20 chat chat TMZ. But they they had
21:23 announced back in June that July 17th
21:27 was going to be a launch. So they've
21:29 been planning a launch for this date
21:31 since before the Windsurf deal fell
21:34 apart. It I mean it very well could be
21:36 that. I think it's an interesting thing,
21:38 but I'm guessing it's I'm guessing it's
21:41 more like operator 2.0. Uh and yes,
21:43 Becky Rue, I'm just losing my mind. Um
21:46 >> my chips are with you uh on on the on
21:49 the operator agentic browser. especially
21:52 with the launch of um Comet this week.
21:56 Yeah. Um but
21:58 >> you heard it here first.
21:59 >> Yeah. Very good. Okay. Good. Thank you.
22:01 Thank you there, producer Brandon.
22:03 Fantastic. That's fantastic. Um
22:07 [Music]
22:14 [Music]
22:22 Hey, Brandon, see, do me a favor. See if
22:24 you can log into uh the YouTube studio.
22:28 Do you have access to YouTube Studio and
22:30 manage some of the comments?
22:33 [Music]
22:35 Yeah, that'd be good. Blast that
22:39 mother humper on out of here.
22:41 [Music]
22:53 Oh man, Kyle, if you weren't if I wasn't
22:56 losing my mind, I'd ask you what's
22:57 wrong. I'm just I'm just feeling a
23:00 little little punch drunk. I'm I'm
23:02 actually just punchy and and loopy. Um
23:05 not not actually inebriated or anything
23:08 wrong. Um just uh yeah, I don't know. I
23:14 don't know. Good people, what are we
23:16 going to do? Let's see. Uh, that's okay.
23:20 Um,
23:21 all right. Oh, whatever.
23:25 Got it.
23:29 Oh, I see.
23:33 It's like Mac World 1996 around here.
23:37 What's that with with uh with all the
23:39 stuff that's that's coming out?
23:47 [Music]
23:50 Um, there's another cool thing that we
23:52 could look at. Um, but it's not really
23:55 out yet, but I talked about it a little
23:58 bit yesterday.
24:01 Um, let me go to the
24:04 Brandon shared a post here. So, okay.
24:08 So, this thing, this is just an image.
24:11 Um,
24:13 Notebook LM. If you don't know Notebook
24:15 LM, it's um it's a thing from Google
24:19 where you can upload up to 50 different
24:21 documents as as source material and then
24:25 you can interact with that source
24:27 material like it's chat GPT. It's pretty
24:29 slick. Um Notebook LM, this was a post
24:33 from Stephen Johnson, is getting into
24:35 the content business. They're getting
24:37 into the media business where they're
24:38 going to curate out the best
24:42 um the best notebooks because what
24:46 they've realized is they've got these
24:47 deep subject matter experts that go off
24:49 and they get all sorts of interesting
24:51 data and then they put that into a
24:54 notebook and they do all sorts of
24:55 interesting posts and things within it.
24:58 And so they're going to make those
24:59 notebooks available to people. And I I
25:01 assume that also means if you've done a
25:04 really interesting notebook, you could
25:05 probably get that featured by them. And
25:09 it's possible
25:12 over time that maybe those things are
25:15 monetizable. I doubt it on Google just
25:19 because of the nature of their um
25:23 nature of how they do what they do. But
25:25 like in this post from Stephen Johnson,
25:27 so if you go look up, it's Stephen B.
25:29 Johnson is the is the username. Stephven
25:32 B Johnson. I knew him from the early
25:34 days of uh when we were doing Urban
25:36 Desires. He was doing Nerve Mag Nerve
25:38 Magazine. We were we were fellow
25:41 publishers back in the early days of the
25:42 internet. Um,
25:45 but if you go to this this post from
25:47 him, in fact, let me grab the post and
25:49 I'll throw it in uh I'll throw it in the
25:52 AI salon in the irregulars channel
25:56 if it's not already there.
26:04 All right. Fantastic.
26:07 Fantastic.
26:09 Fantastic
26:11 it is. All right, there you go. So,
26:14 that's in the uh
26:18 that's in the Irregular's channel now.
26:19 Right at the top of the at at the top
26:21 there is the Stephen Johnson post and
26:25 then he's got a bunch of the featured
26:27 notebooks linked
26:30 that feature where you can you'll be
26:31 able to see it within your notebook LM.
26:34 That's not really rolled out yet. It's
26:35 rolling out over the next couple of
26:36 days. Um, but I think that's a pretty
26:40 It's an interesting
26:42 when we had um Pearson on Oh, Jeff has
26:47 it. Interesting. Um, when we had Pearson
26:50 on from from uh Jelly Pod, one of the
26:54 questions I asked him was, are they
26:56 going to get into the media business?
26:58 Because if some of the people using
26:59 Jelly Pod put together really
27:01 interesting podcasts and those podcasts
27:04 become popular, that could be something
27:07 that could be valuable to Jelly Pod. And
27:09 he said he he wasn't sure. When I asked
27:12 him the same question about three or
27:14 four months ago, he said, "Oh, we're
27:15 definitely just doing tech. We're not
27:18 going to be doing media." And then when
27:20 I asked him, you know, a month or so ago
27:22 when he spoke at the salon, he was a
27:24 little more like, "Ah, we're trying to
27:26 figure that out. We're trying to figure
27:27 out what we want to be when we grow up.
27:29 So, I think it's kind of fascinating
27:31 that a similar kind of service, you
27:34 know, not that does a similar thing, but
27:35 a similar kind of enabling technology is
27:38 going toward the media direction. Um,
27:42 and they're, you know, they're going to
27:43 start publishing and curating content.
27:45 Uh, which I think is smart because every
27:47 time you use someone else's notebook
27:50 that's well put together, that gives you
27:52 ideas on what you can do with your
27:54 notebook. or maybe you take their
27:55 notebook and you modify it, things like
27:56 that. So, that's kind of cool, huh?
28:00 Yeah, I monetize it just like the GPT
28:02 store. That's why I hesitated when I
28:03 said that.
28:07 It's exactly why I hesitated. Exactly.
28:10 Exactly. Kim Catkin wants to know how
28:14 you
28:16 [Laughter]
28:17 made sexy Kyle. Okay.
28:20 So, let me go show you Sexy Kyle on Tik
28:23 Tok. I think I put sexy Kyle on on
28:25 YouTube, too. Yeah, I know. I got to do
28:27 tabs. Let me do a tab here. And then
28:29 I'll go show you how we made it.
28:32 Sexy Kyle. Ah, Sexy Kyle's funny. Um,
28:36 let's see. Let me shut that down. Shut
28:39 that down. Do that.
28:41 Do that. Do that. Share.
28:48 Okay,
28:52 there's a cool image I made.
28:55 That was that was a midjourney image.
29:02 And then here's here's sexy Kyle. Okay,
29:06 >> I'm this hot.
29:08 >> I'm this.
29:10 >> Hang on.
29:11 >> This is me.
29:13 I definitely look like this.
29:15 You can't really hear it.
29:16 >> I definitely look like this.
29:19 I'm this hot. I'm this interesting.
29:23 This is me.
29:25 >> You don't think this is me?
29:28 >> All right. So, there's sexy Kyle.
29:30 >> I definitely look like this.
29:32 >> It says it says this definitely is me.
29:34 It, you know, I'm this sexy. I'm this
29:36 hot. And it's clearly not me. Um, all
29:39 right. So, here's how I did that. Let's
29:42 We'll do it from scratch.
29:47 [Laughter]
29:50 She said interesting, not sexy.
29:55 Interesting. Kyle,
30:02 I could if I if I like held my arms if I
30:06 held something behind my arm, I could
30:09 get it to look like that. or if I worked
30:11 out.
30:14 Oh my god, we need more cowbell. Um,
30:18 okay.
30:20 Um, all right. So, let's see what what
30:23 what I did.
30:27 Um, I went to runway.
30:33 I just wanted to I just wanted to test
30:37 um I just wanted to test um
30:43 the the the VO or the the runway act to
30:49 um acting transfer tabs and Oh, you
30:53 can't see this. Okay, thank you.
31:03 Okay,
31:06 hang on. The dog's whimpering.
31:07 >> What? What is your problem? You want
31:09 cheese?
31:12 >> Why are you whining?
31:16 >> We got a whiner.
31:30 Okay. So,
31:34 so I think on Twitter I found a I found
31:38 an SREF that made illustrations and then
31:41 I tried to make illustrations with it
31:43 and it didn't make illustrations but it
31:45 made these sort of douchy versions of
31:48 me.
31:56 And so so I had these douchy versions of
31:58 me. Oops. Oh, I just I just did
32:01 variations of that one. That one was
32:04 pretty fun. I almost did that one
32:06 because it's so pretentious. But then
32:08 but then there was then there was, you
32:10 know, sexy sexy dude and the other guys
32:13 were just douchy. So how I made these
32:15 was I I had the uh
32:18 I had this
32:20 um
32:22 how do I see it? Can I can I open this?
32:27 [Music]
32:31 in midjourney.
32:33 I had this image.
32:38 So that was that's an old I don't know.
32:41 I did that somewhere. I just made a
32:43 bunch of stupid versions of me. So, I
32:45 did that as the as the image and then I
32:48 did cartoon illustration on a white
32:50 background using an SREF
32:54 um Tik Tok pen.
32:56 Game at my house is when Chappie wants
32:59 cheese, I eat cheese.
33:05 It's pretty good. I like it. Yeah, Champ
33:08 was definitely in a cheese mood. Or you
33:10 had to pee. So, you can do that, too.
33:12 You can you can you can pick either
33:14 option. You can use Champy's exit as a
33:17 as an opportunity to pee or to get
33:19 cheese. Um and if you're feeling edgy,
33:23 do both.
33:25 Um
33:27 okay. So anyway, so so I made a picture,
33:29 but it it really doesn't matter what
33:30 kind of output picture you have. In
33:32 fact, maybe we should use this one
33:35 because this one's kind of cool,
33:38 right?
33:40 It's got this crazy
33:42 like I've been hydro dipped
33:46 alien skin. Um,
33:53 all right. So, we're going to download
33:54 that image. So, that's going to be our
33:56 that's going to be our image that we're
33:58 going to animate.
34:00 And then what you do
34:02 is you go make a you go make a
34:11 a recording of your face. There's my
34:14 face. I've got [ __ ] on my lens. Hang on
34:18 a sec.
34:23 I think that's better. All right.
34:27 So,
34:30 let's see. Which picture are we going to
34:32 use? We're going to use
34:36 this picture.
34:46 Okay, I got one. I got one.
34:55 Okay.
35:04 Yeah. So, I I used to be in marketing
35:07 and uh
35:10 I I mean, I don't like to brag, but uh
35:12 I'm the one that came up with the phrase
35:15 taste the rainbow.
35:17 I I was working on the the Skittles
35:19 brand, of course, and uh I love
35:22 Skittles. I love Skittles. And uh who
35:25 knew?
35:27 They're so bad for you. They're not even
35:29 considered a food group anymore.
35:34 Anyway, that's uh that's how I got like
35:37 this.
35:38 Okay, how long was that? 34 seconds.
35:41 It's too long. All right, we got to
35:44 re-record it. You got you can't you got
35:47 to be a professional here, people.
35:50 And my I my voice is not sounding very
35:53 booming tonight. I didn't do any vocal
35:56 warm-ups before I started.
36:01 [Laughter]
36:07 Well, I don't like to brag, but uh I
36:09 mean, I used to be in advertising and I
36:11 was a creative. I was on the uh the
36:14 national uh account for Skittles and man
36:18 did I love Skittles. I'm I'm the one
36:20 that came up with the Taste the Rainbow
36:22 thing. And uh who knew that eating
36:24 Skittles three, four times a day for a
36:27 couple of months could have a lasting
36:29 impact? But anyway, that's uh that's how
36:32 I got like this.
36:35 All right,
36:37 28 seconds. So, we'll we'll test the
36:39 face. I don't like to brag, but uh I
36:41 mean I used to be in advertising and I
36:44 was a creative. I was on the uh the
36:47 national uh account for Skittles and man
36:50 did I love Skittles. I'm I'm the one
36:52 that came up with the taste the rainbow
36:54 thing. And uh who Skittles three four
36:59 and uh who knew that eating Skittles
37:02 three four times a day for a couple of
37:04 months could have a lasting impact? But
37:07 anyway, that's uh that's how I got like
37:11 this. Okay,
37:15 so let me just this.
37:22 Okay, so we're going to split the clip.
37:24 Oops.
37:25 Hang on.
37:35 We don't want him looking down at the
37:36 end there. So, we're going to chop the
37:38 end off this thing. Oops. Oh, did that
37:40 just quit? God damn that thing.
37:45 I lost a performance, people. It was so
37:48 good. That was award-winning, right? You
37:51 would agree.
37:54 Really sad. Wait, did I did I have Oh,
37:56 >> I don't like to brag.
37:57 >> Oh, yeah. Got it. Okay, we're still
37:59 good.
38:04 There we go. Split clip.
38:07 Bang. We lose the end of it where I look
38:09 down. We say done. We say save. We'll do
38:12 KS Skittles.
38:17 Um, we'll save that to the desktop.
38:20 Again, uh, professional file management
38:23 tip. Save all of your files to the
38:27 desktop with a non-escript name.
38:31 No folders, just loose to the desktop.
38:33 Uh it makes your computer run more
38:35 efficiently and it's just easier to find
38:37 things if everything's at the same level
38:39 in the hierarchy, right? It's just there
38:42 and eventually you'll stumble upon it
38:44 again.
38:47 You're welcome.
38:48 Okay, now
38:51 let's go over to Runway ML
38:54 and we're going to make us we're going
38:56 to make us a Skittles man. We're going
38:58 to make a Skittles man. I like Skittles
39:02 man. He's fantastic.
39:06 Let's see. Do we want to Do we wanna
39:09 I think we want to zoom out on him,
39:11 don't we? We want to zoom out a little
39:13 bit. I think we want to zoom out. Let's
39:16 zoom out.
39:18 We're gonna zoom out.
39:20 I don't I feel like it was a little too
39:22 close. It was a little too intimate. You
39:24 know what I mean? So, we're going to
39:25 zoom out.
39:28 Oh, wait.
39:30 You can't zoom out because it was an
39:33 omni reference and you can't zoom out on
39:35 an omni reference.
39:37 I think that's horseshit. You know how
39:39 you can zoom out on an omni reference?
39:42 You go upload a new image and you upload
39:44 that image you just put in there.
39:47 Right.
39:50 Am I wrong? I don't think I'm wrong.
39:54 Um, let's go. Um,
39:59 wait, how do we do it? We'll do move,
40:00 resize. Right. Right.
40:10 And then we'll just go um
40:13 dark background.
40:17 And now it's going to make it. Yeah.
40:20 See, I know. I know what I'm doing here,
40:23 you weirdos.
40:26 Pretend I don't know what I'm doing. I
40:28 know what I'm doing. I'm a professional.
40:35 All right. We don't like that one. We do
40:36 like that one.
40:38 Don't like that one.
40:41 Don't like that one. That's the one
40:42 we're going to go with. Okay. We're
40:44 gonna upscale that to the gallery.
40:48 Should I zoom out even more? No, I think
40:50 that's good.
40:54 All right,
40:55 go back out to create. That thing's
40:58 upscaling.
41:00 Does anybody know what I'm doing? I'm on
41:02 I'm in midjourney right now. We've got
41:04 Skittles. Dude, we wanted to zoom out.
41:07 It said because you used a certain
41:10 feature of ours, we're not going to let
41:11 you zoom out. So I just manually
41:14 uploaded the same image and zoomed out.
41:18 So
41:20 one of the tricks with AI is just to
41:24 embrace the jank. Understand that these
41:27 tools are early. They're broken. They
41:30 are they are not good. They're
41:34 unreliable. And they're the most
41:37 remarkable thing you've ever seen. Both
41:39 of those things can be true at the same
41:41 time. So normalize the remarkableness.
41:45 Just say, "Yeah, they do that now." And
41:48 then accept the fact that they're just
41:50 going to be shitty. And find a ways to
41:52 make them less shitty. Okay. So now
41:54 let's go over to Runway ML, which has
41:56 got some interface challenges in my
41:59 opinion.
42:03 Runway ML
42:06 runway ML is it.com.ai
42:14 The site can't be reached because it's
42:16 probably.com.
42:17 [Laughter]
42:22 No. Uh,
42:25 come on. Oh, I didn't have a Y in there.
42:28 Run. Wrongwayml.com.
42:35 There we go. Okay. So, we're here.
42:41 And the way we're going to do this, so
42:44 if you
42:48 up here, you can either make an image or
42:51 a video. So we're in video. And then you
42:53 can either do text to video or you can
42:56 say perform with act two. So I'm going
42:58 to say perform with act two.
43:02 And then I'm going to add a driving
43:03 performance. So I'm going to select the
43:05 asset and I'm going to upload the thing
43:07 that I just recorded.
43:11 Where'd I ever save it? Desktop.
43:14 >> Well, I don't like to brag, but uh I
43:16 mean, I used to be in advertising and I
43:18 was a creative. I was on the uh the
43:22 national uh account for Skittles, and
43:25 man, did I love Skittles. I'm I'm the
43:27 one that came up with the Taste the
43:29 Rainbow thing. And uh who knew that
43:31 eating Skittles three, four times a day
43:34 for a couple of months could have a
43:36 lasting impact? But anyway, that's uh
43:39 that's how I got like this. All right.
43:41 Beautiful award-winning performance.
43:44 Comedy. It's got comedy. It's got drama.
43:47 It's got a little twist in it. You don't
43:50 know where it's going. But you're like,
43:52 it's just not as funny if the guy's face
43:55 isn't Skittles rainbow colored, right?
43:58 But it's going to be soon as we upload
44:01 it here. As soon as the the upload
44:03 service decides it wants to work.
44:07 Oh, good lord. Are we gonna have to save
44:09 this in a different file format like we
44:11 do with all the other things like
44:13 Twitter? H I just can't anymore, people.
44:17 I can't anymore. We're going to go
44:19 export as 480p.
44:24 It's already.
44:26 I don't know what to do. Oh, it's it's
44:29 uploading. It's just going really slow.
44:32 Um,
44:34 here's always the question. Would it be
44:36 faster to cancel that upload? Let me
44:39 export this as 480p.
44:43 And so we'll go uh small dash smal.
44:48 That's how you spell small in case you
44:50 didn't know. Then we'll go back over
44:51 here. We'll cancel that upload and we'll
44:54 re-upload small.
44:58 Yeah, that's faster. No. What? Maybe.
45:02 Oh, it looks like they bought their
45:03 upload service from Twitter.
45:07 All right, it's in there. Beautiful. All
45:10 right, so now we're going to select the
45:11 asset what we want this thing to look
45:13 like. And we're going to go get Rainbow
45:16 Man, right? That's not the one we want.
45:18 We want the one from Runway.
45:23 There's Rainbow Man. We'll go in there.
45:25 We're going to download that. Okay. Then
45:29 we're going to go back to Runway.
45:32 Where's runway? There it is. You know,
45:35 it'd be easier to find things if you
45:37 didn't have so many tabs open, Kyle.
45:41 I find it rather stressful watching you
45:44 work like this. Uh oh. Hang on. I lost
45:47 my I lost my correct tab.
45:51 Well, that's what I was saying that
45:54 because you've got so many tabs open, it
45:56 it's tremendously confusing.
45:59 This would be less confusing if we were
46:01 watching you do something in a in a in a
46:05 more conventional way. Where did my tab
46:08 go?
46:09 [Laughter]
46:13 Oh, I think this is it. All right. Shut
46:15 up. Shut up. All of you. Shut up. All
46:19 right. There we go. We have all the
46:20 hair, right? Yeah, that one's too close.
46:22 This one's better. All right.
46:26 So, we're going to upload that picture.
46:34 And then I think for act two we've got
46:36 settings. So we can do facial facial
46:39 expressiveness.
46:43 Let's we'll bump that up to four.
46:46 Use motion and gestures driving the
46:48 performance. Yeah, we'll do that. We're
46:50 going to leave it at 9 by 16.
46:54 It's a 27 second video. It seems like
46:56 it's going to do it. And then bang, here
46:58 we go. And so now we're making the
47:00 video. So this is that was the entire
47:02 process for making Sexy Kyle. Now we're
47:04 gonna make Skittles Kyle. All right.
47:07 Oscar pending. Yeah. I This would
47:10 probably be more like a special Emmy. I
47:13 don't I I wouldn't consider this really
47:14 an Oscars kind of level performance, but
47:17 I think a special Emmy for for human
47:22 human driven AI slop
47:26 category of the Emmys of the local
47:32 the local uh central Colorado Emmys.
47:41 [Laughter]
47:44 Oh man.
47:50 Will it take your expression and put
47:52 them on colorful Kyle? Yeah, that's
47:54 exactly what it's going to do. So, so
47:56 this is so what what act two is from
47:58 Runway is it's basically a performance
48:01 transfer.
48:03 Um, so so like Rainbow Kyle could be
48:06 anything. It could be a claimation
48:08 character. It could be me as a dog. It
48:10 could be me as just a crazy character.
48:12 One of the other things that you can do
48:13 here. This this will be fun. You want to
48:15 see something fun? Well, of course,
48:17 Kyle. Of course, we want to see
48:18 something fun. That's why we come here.
48:21 All right. Fine. No need to be rude
48:23 about it. Okay. So, we're going to go
48:25 here. We got this performance, right?
48:28 So, what we're going to do is we're
48:30 going to export the audio. Audio only.
48:36 And yeah, that's good. We'll save that
48:38 to the desktop as well as a nondescript
48:40 file name so we won't be able to find it
48:42 later. And then we're going to go to
48:46 11 Labsa
48:52 [Music]
48:55 and I'm going to go to voice changer
48:59 and then we're going to go find a voice.
49:02 Uh
49:05 let's see.
49:07 Who have we got? Oops.
49:12 Who have we got? Oh, what did I do? I
49:15 messed up. We're going to go here. We're
49:18 going to go delicate sage. We're going
49:19 to go
49:21 No.
49:31 Okay. Tabs. Yeah. Sorry.
49:34 [Music]
49:45 Architecture is the thoughtful
49:47 arrangement of work while you have the
49:49 light.
49:50 >> I think this this pompous British dude
49:52 >> architecture is the thoughtful
49:54 arrangement of space. Architecture is
49:56 the thoughtful arrangement of space to
49:58 uplift the spirit.
49:59 >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Shut up. Okay. So,
50:01 we're going to upload
50:05 my silly voice
50:08 and we're going to replace it with dear
50:09 Reginald. Hello Reginald, generate
50:13 speech.
50:15 Regginald, say my words for me, won't
50:17 you? I mean Bradford. Bradford.
50:20 >> Well, I don't like to brag, but uh I
50:22 mean I used to be in advertising and I
50:24 was a creative. I was on the uh the
50:28 >> Wait, that's not the one we wanted, was
50:29 it?
50:32 work while work.
50:34 >> Architecture is the thoughtful
50:35 arrangement of

50:38 reason. All right, we we'll find another
50:40 one. Alexander,
50:42 >> by repeating what student By repeating
50:43 what students say, teachers can
50:46 >> Hey guys, here's just a more
50:48 >> Grimblewood Thorn Whisker at your
50:50 service.
50:51 >> Hi, I'm Sam. Thanks for calling CS
50:54 Quantum. Let me tell you what my grandpa
50:57 told me when I was just 6 years old. All
50:59 right, Grandpa Oxley.
51:02 >> Always speak the truth.
51:04 >> People will never forget what you
51:06 >> Shut up.
51:09 >> Well, I don't like to brag, but uh I
51:11 mean, I used to be in advertising and I
51:13 was a creative. I was on the uh the
51:16 national uh account for Skittles.
51:19 >> All right. So, you download that and
51:22 then what you can do. So, now I've got a
51:25 a a new voice. I can split the audio out
51:29 of this.
51:30 So, how do I do this? Do I do a remove
51:32 audio?
51:35 Add clip to end. Remove audio. Bang.
51:39 And then I can go to my
51:42 here.
51:45 >> Oh, I don't
51:46 >> I can just drag this onto that video.
51:48 And now
51:50 Oh, wait. You can't see that. Shut up.
51:58 neat.
52:01 Okay. So, what I did was you go into
52:05 your QuickTime movie and you can say
52:07 remove audio. So, I removed the audio
52:10 and then I just went to my finder. I
52:13 found that audio file and I dragged that
52:15 over to this file and now I've got a
52:18 video of me with a different voice.
52:21 >> Well, I don't like to brag, but uh I
52:23 mean I used to be in advertising and
52:25 >> Right. So, so we've now got a character
52:27 voice, but my acting and listen,
52:30 >> my acting is good enough that like
52:32 you're like, "Yeah, that's kind of world
52:34 class." Like, I I'd keep the acting.
52:36 Yeah, exactly. Right. But we want that
52:38 cheesy voice out of there. So, we're
52:40 going to replace that with old Grandpa
52:43 Oxley. Spuds Oxley. All right. So, now
52:47 we're going to go export this as 480p.
52:54 So, we'll go Skittles old.
52:58 All right. And now let's go back to
53:00 we'll go back to RunwayML
53:04 and we'll look at the result of Skittles
53:08 dude.
53:22 [Music]
53:26 There's Skittles, boy. All right, we got
53:28 a 26 second video. Are you ready?
53:33 Are the voices in 11 Labs free or paid
53:36 service? Uh, I I'm pretty sure it's I'm
53:40 I'm definitely on a paid plan. I think I
53:43 might be on a 10 or $15 a month plan.
53:47 It's not It's not super pricey. 11 Labs.
53:51 All right, let's go play this. You
53:53 ready?
53:57 >> I don't like to brag, but uh I mean, I
53:59 used to be in advertising and I was a
54:01 creative. I was on the uh the national
54:05 uh account for Skittles, and man, did I
54:08 love Skittles. I'm I'm the one that came
54:10 up with the Taste the Rainbow thing. And
54:12 uh who knew that eating Skittles three,
54:15 four times a day for a couple of months
54:18 could have a lasting impact? But anyway,
54:20 that's uh that's how I got like this.
54:24 Well, I don't like to brag, but uh I
54:26 mean, I used to be an advert.
54:31 Okay. And then what we could do is we
54:33 could go we could probably go find Oh,
54:36 you can't hear it. Did I not share it
54:38 right? Am I a loser?
54:40 I think I might be a loser.
54:43 You heard it. I the the audio levels on
54:47 this are really low right now. You heard
54:49 it on both streams. Okay. The audio
54:51 levels are really low. So, I don't know
54:54 why they're so low.
54:56 This Yeah, I I I shared it right.
55:03 >> Well, I don't like to brag, but uh I
55:05 mean, I used to be in advertising and I
55:07 was a creative. I was on the uh the
55:10 national uh account for Skittles and man
55:14 did I love Skittles. I'm I'm the one
55:16 that came up with the taste the rainbow
55:18 thing and uh who knew that eating
55:20 Skittles three, four times a day for a
55:23 couple of months could have a lasting
55:26 impact. But anyway, that's uh that's how
55:28 I got like this. Well, I don't like to
55:31 brag, but uh I mean
55:34 I don't know. I'm sorry. I find that
55:36 good. That's some good comedy right
55:37 there.
55:40 So, we're going to download that. That's
55:42 going to get uploaded to the Twitter.
55:44 Um,
55:46 let's see. Maybe we'll go get a
55:48 different We'll go get a different
55:51 rainbow head.
56:09 We'll do him. So, we're going to
56:11 download that.
56:13 Oops, I did the wrong one.
56:17 Download that. Okay. Black bar. Yeah.
56:21 Blackam.
56:28 probably learn those words. Tabs, tabs,
56:31 tabs, tabs. Carry on rather,
56:36 Mr. Shannon. Yes. Yes. Yes. How can I
56:39 help you? Yes. Yes. I was wondering,
56:40 sir, by chance, Pray. Uh, what, sir?
56:46 If there are any
56:49 are your qualifications?
56:52 Oh, rather. Oh, my qualifications.
56:56 Very direct request.
57:00 Oh, sir. I uh Well, I have none. I I
57:04 have no qualifications. I have zero
57:06 qualifications. I have none. None. So,
57:09 uh yes. Puts us in a bit of an awkward
57:13 bind. Does does it not?
57:16 YouTube request and question. Do we know
57:19 how long you can record in 11 Labs? 11
57:22 Labs. Yeah, 11 Labs you can go really
57:24 long. You can do full of audio books in
57:27 11 labs much longer than 30 seconds. I
57:30 just did 30 seconds because the runway
57:33 ML it uh thing here is uh
57:38 but you can't o upload them
57:44 to Audible. Oh, that's interesting.
57:47 Oh, we also found out today Oh, no to
57:49 not to Audible to to Amazon. It's Amazon
57:52 books. YouTube request from Jeff
57:53 Flanigan.
57:55 Make the statue talk.
57:59 Yeah, we can do that, too. Hang on. Let
58:02 me go. Let me hide that. Let me go back
58:05 to runway.
58:07 We'll go back to image generation.
58:12 [Music]
58:14 We're going to trash that. We're going
58:15 to select the asset. We're going to go
58:17 grab the asset.
58:19 We're going to go desktop. We're going
58:21 to take the latest ones. Oh, I don't
58:24 like to brag, but uh
58:25 >> All right. This is the one with the new
58:26 voice, and it's actually got better
58:27 levels anyway. Oh, Amazon owns Audible.
58:30 Ah, got it. Yeah, it's unbelievable.
58:35 All right, so we have a performance.
58:40 There's a performance. Let's get rid of
58:42 that old image. We're going to go get a
58:44 new image.
58:48 That dude
58:57 D
59:17 dee.
59:26 Now you want a VO3 video
59:29 of Skittles man. Oh, we can do that.
59:38 Running through candy to that song. Oh,
59:40 that's funny. That's funny. Uh,
59:44 okay. We can try that. We can try that.
59:47 Uh,
59:48 it's the that's Vanelis, right?
59:51 [Music]
59:55 Chariots of fire. Yeah, that's what it
59:56 is. Okay. So, so let's go to All right.
59:59 We're going to go to flow.
1:00:01 We're going to go frames to video.
1:00:07 We're going to upload
1:00:10 Skittles. Man,
1:00:15 that was hot. Kyle, we'll do Skittles
1:00:17 Man. All right. So, we're going to
1:00:19 upload Skittles Man.
1:00:23 Wait, do I have a wrong size here?
1:00:31 Can I not change the aspect ratio?
1:00:37 Well, maybe.
1:00:39 So, we'll just do um
1:00:45 Kimra
1:00:47 pulls out
1:00:49 as
1:00:51 man
1:00:53 runs in slow
1:00:58 motion
1:01:00 through
1:01:04 a field of
1:01:08 Skittles.
1:01:11 to the tune
1:01:13 of Chariots
1:01:16 of Fire.
1:01:20 All right, we'll see if it Let's see if
1:01:21 it gives us anything interesting.
1:01:24 Zero zero chariots.
1:01:28 Chariots
1:01:32 typo. Oh, I don't care. Okay.
1:01:35 Um All right, that's at 60%. So, we're
1:01:38 almost there with the with the better
1:01:39 voice. Did we download this one? I think
1:01:42 I did.
1:01:50 >> Well, I don't like to brag, but uh I
1:01:52 mean, I used to be in advertising and
1:01:54 >> All right, so we've got that downloaded.
1:01:56 Let's go to X
1:02:02 and then we'll do uh
1:02:08 uh it was fun being interviewed
1:02:14 by
1:02:20 GQ.
1:02:24 Um,
1:02:29 Industrial
1:02:32 Accident
1:02:38 magazine
1:02:45 this week.
1:02:47 Here's
1:02:52 the
1:02:53 the money
1:02:57 the money shot.
1:03:08 It's not that funny, Kyle. I know it's
1:03:10 not that funny.
1:03:13 >> Well, I don't like to brag, but All
1:03:25 [Laughter]
1:03:34 right. So, we're trying to upload this
1:03:37 here. Let's watch. Let's watch comically
1:03:42 as X tries to upload a video file.
1:03:47 [Music]
1:03:51 Did it upload? Wow, your post post was
1:03:54 sent. All right,
1:03:56 there you go. So, do me a favor and uh
1:03:59 if you want to support Skittles Kyle, um
1:04:02 just head on over to Twitter and find my
1:04:04 account, Kyle Shannon. All right.
1:04:09 Do we have Yes, we've got we've got new
1:04:12 video people. Hang on. Let's see if this
1:04:14 one's better. We might have to replace
1:04:16 it.
1:04:18 If this one's better than the one I
1:04:19 uploaded, then you know, [ __ ] happens.
1:04:22 You got to do what you got to do. You
1:04:23 got to make these creative calls in real
1:04:25 time.
1:04:37 I don't like to brag, but uh I mean, I
1:04:39 used to be in advertising and I was a
1:04:41 creative. I was on the uh the national
1:04:45 uh account for Skittles and man did I
1:04:48 love Skittles. I'm I'm the one that came
1:04:50 up with the taste the rainbow thing and
1:04:52 uh who knew that eating Skittles three
1:04:55 four times a day for a couple of months
1:04:58 could have a lasting impact. But anyway,
1:05:00 that's uh that's how I got like this.
1:05:04 Well, I don't like to brag, but uh I
1:05:06 mean I used to be in advertising and I
1:05:08 was a creative. I was on the uh the
1:05:11 national uh account for Skittles.
1:05:15 >> This this one seems douchier. I kind of
1:05:18 like this one. The other one seems more
1:05:20 like a version of me. This one seems
1:05:22 like douchy advertising guy.
1:05:29 Oh man,
1:05:32 he looks like he's lying. Yeah, exactly.
1:05:36 All right, let's download. We'll
1:05:38 download him, too.
1:05:46 It's so stupid. All right, let's go to
1:05:48 uh
1:05:50 where do I have
1:05:53 flow?
1:05:59 All right, let me change my tabs.
1:06:21 Okay, so this is VO3
1:06:25 and we said we wanted him running
1:06:27 through a field of Skittles
1:06:29 um to Chariots of Fire. So here's here's
1:06:33 what we're going to get. The the chances
1:06:35 that this is not going to suck are
1:06:37 essentially zero. This is going to suck
1:06:39 bad.
1:06:50 [Laughter]
1:06:53 Look how it opened up the
1:06:58 Wait, I'm actually I'm actually Stop.
1:07:01 I'm actually quite impressed with this
1:07:03 this.
1:07:07 So, it starts out
1:07:09 in a vertical format
1:07:12 and then look, it irises out as he
1:07:15 starts running. It irises out the frame
1:07:18 to fill the frame. That's pretty [ __ ]
1:07:21 impressive,
1:07:25 huh?
1:07:40 generate the rainbow, baby. That's
1:07:42 pretty good.
1:07:48 You know, one of the things we talk
1:07:49 about in the AI salon is play first. The
1:07:52 reason you play with these tools, I was
1:07:54 fully expecting this thing to suck and
1:07:56 not be good. I mean, it's not great, but
1:07:58 it's a lot better than I thought it
1:07:59 would be.
1:08:01 And that iris out thing is really
1:08:03 [ __ ] cool.
1:08:14 Actually, you know what I need to do?
1:08:17 No, Kyle. What?
1:08:19 Okay, watch this. This is gonna be cool.
1:08:23 All right, you can see my [ __ ] right?
1:08:25 Jeff on YouTube. Up to my ass in
1:08:27 Skittles. Yeah, exactly. All right, so
1:08:29 we're gonna take Skittles guy.
1:08:38 All right,
1:08:39 we're going to
1:08:43 copy this image.
1:08:46 So, what I did was I went to the end.
1:08:50 So, we've So, we've got we've got this
1:08:52 now, right?
1:08:54 Well, I don't like to brag, but uh I
1:08:56 mean, I used to be in advertising and I
1:08:58 was a creative.
1:09:00 >> How many Kyles do we need on screen?
1:09:02 There can never be enough Kyles. I think
1:09:04 we've established that. Okay. Um so now
1:09:08 I'm going to I'm going to save this
1:09:10 image. The the last frame I'm going to
1:09:12 save
1:09:16 here.
1:09:19 We'll go save
1:09:23 and we'll do KS Skittles
1:09:28 end frame.
1:09:32 Okay.
1:09:34 Save.
1:09:40 Then we're going to go back here to
1:09:42 runway and we're going to do frame to
1:09:44 video. So we're going to start out.
1:09:46 We're going to start with
1:09:48 that thing we just saved.
1:09:54 If we can find it.
1:09:58 No.
1:09:59 Where did I say? I thought I saved it to
1:10:04 desktop. Did I not?
1:10:07 Let me see. Skittles
1:10:13 end frame. Here we go. Okay.
1:10:18 We're going to do the same thing. It's
1:10:19 going to be cropped in the middle there.
1:10:29 Our policies prohibit uploading
1:10:32 prominent people at this time. I'm
1:10:35 considered a prominent person.
1:10:37 Who knew
1:10:44 you and George Clooney?
1:10:51 Oh, come on.
1:10:54 All right. I am so sick. We We
1:10:57 absolutely need a button on these
1:11:00 [ __ ] services that say, "I'm an
1:11:03 adult. If I do something illegal, I'll
1:11:06 take the liability for it.
1:11:10 That's [ __ ] ridiculous.
1:11:13 Well, so what I was going to do, I was
1:11:15 going to take the end frame of that. So
1:11:16 I was going to have me talking about the
1:11:19 Skittles accident and then have that
1:11:22 transition into me running through a
1:11:23 field of skittles.
1:11:25 Calm down. But I'm They're stupid. I
1:11:30 should be able to override those stupid
1:11:32 [ __ ] things.
1:11:36 I know it's not meltdown Monday.
1:11:43 All right. What's going on over here on
1:11:44 Twitter?
1:11:47 Let's go. Let's go listen to this
1:11:49 because, you know, can't get enough of
1:11:52 me.
1:12:00 Oh boy, the sleepy just took over. He's
1:12:05 a little sleepy. Well, well, well. Ain't
1:12:07 that special?
1:12:09 >> But anyway, that's uh Well, I don't like
1:12:11 to brag, but uh I mean, I used to be in
1:12:13 advertising and I was a creative. I was
1:12:16 on the uh the national uh account for
1:12:20 Skittles, and man, did I love Skittles.
1:12:22 I'm I'm the one that came up with the
1:12:24 Taste the Rainbow thing. And uh who knew
1:12:27 that eating Skittles three, four times a
1:12:30 day for a couple of months.
1:12:32 >> Hello people. People
1:12:36 edit post.
1:12:40 You got to go.
1:12:43 We'll do at Scoilizer. So we'll get
1:12:45 Robert Scoble to give us a little boost.
1:12:46 He'll do that. And then we'll do at
1:12:49 Skittles.
1:12:52 Come on. Taste the rainbow.
1:12:58 Wait, it was uh let's see. Uh
1:13:03 instead of GQ industrial accident, we'll
1:13:06 do uh we'll do
1:13:09 um
1:13:20 let's see.
1:13:22 Bye.
1:13:25 Um,
1:13:36 we'll go GQ Rainbow.
1:13:40 GQ Rainbow. Okay, that's good because if
1:13:44 we did GQ Industrial Accident, Skittles
1:13:47 wouldn't wouldn't post us. Wouldn't
1:13:49 repost us. But now they're going to at
1:13:51 Mars Global and at GQ. Okay, good.
1:13:54 That's good. All right, so let's edit
1:13:56 edit post.
1:13:58 Oh, it didn't save that.
1:14:01 Okay.
1:14:03 Whoa, that's weird. Why did it not save
1:14:05 that?
1:14:08 All right, GQ Rainbow
1:14:13 Magazine this week. Here's the money
1:14:15 shot. Then we'll do um
1:14:18 at Scoble.
1:14:22 We'll do at Skittles
1:14:29 at Mars Global
1:14:37 and then we'll do at GQ magazine.
1:14:44 All right.
1:14:53 about my wait
1:14:57 my time in the
1:15:00 ad business.
1:15:02 Ad biz
1:15:19 of the interview.
1:15:29 I'm going to go I'm going to go taste
1:15:32 the rainbow.
1:15:40 All right. The edit wasn't saved. Why?
1:15:47 Oh no. What's going on? Okay, we're
1:15:51 going to copy that. Discard. We're going
1:15:53 to reload the page.
1:15:56 We'll take this back out here. We'll go
1:15:58 to our desktop.
1:16:01 We're going to go here. We're going to
1:16:03 go edit.
1:16:08 We're going to go paste. All right.
1:16:09 We're go update.
1:16:12 All right.
1:16:13 View. All right, there we go. It was fun
1:16:16 being interviewed by GQ Rainbow Magazine
1:16:19 this week about my time in the ad biz.
1:16:20 Here's the money shot of the interview.
1:16:22 Taste the rainbow. All right, there you
1:16:25 go, people. This the rainbow thing. And
1:16:29 uh who knew that I don't So here's
1:16:33 here's what I can tell you. This is like
1:16:34 some professional advice. Like if you
1:16:38 want to get your posts promoted globally
1:16:43 at at a at a large scale,
1:16:46 I don't know how to do that. Every time
1:16:48 I've done one of these, it gets roundly
1:16:51 ignored.
1:16:53 So if if any of you have Mr. Beast like
1:16:56 skills with getting your [ __ ] seen, let
1:16:59 me know.
1:17:04 something about OSHA,
1:17:06 the newest national ad campaign open AI
1:17:09 announcement tomorrow. Yeah. Okay. So,
1:17:11 yeah, let's let's start let's start
1:17:13 winding down this uh this shindig. So,
1:17:15 tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. I should be able
1:17:18 to be there. Um there's an OpenAI
1:17:21 announcement. I think it's going to be
1:17:23 something around a browser or operator
1:17:26 2.0 or something like that, but who
1:17:28 knows?
1:17:30 Um, if you'd be so kind, if you're on X
1:17:32 or if you can head over to X, go to my
1:17:34 channel, Kyle Shannon, and find the um
1:17:38 the Rainbow Dude. All right.
1:17:41 >> I don't like to brag, but uh I mean, I
1:17:43 used to be in advertising and I was a
1:17:46 creative. I was on the uh the national
1:17:49 uh account for Skittles, and man, did I
1:17:52 love Skittles. I'm I'm the one that came
1:17:55 up with the Taste the Rainbow thing. And
1:17:57 uh who knew that eating Skittles three,
1:18:00 four times a day for a couple of months
1:18:03 could have a lasting impact. But anyway,
1:18:05 that's uh that's how I got like this.
1:18:08 Well, I don't like to brag, but uh I
1:18:10 mean, I used to be an advert. All right,
1:18:13 let's get rid of that. Get rid of that.
1:18:15 We don't need to be sharing the screen
1:18:16 no more.
1:18:20 >> That's fantastic, Bob.
1:18:27 tomorrow. I think Leah is still on.
1:18:30 Tomorrow morning, I think 9:00 am
1:18:33 Eastern if I if I recall right. If you
1:18:35 go to the AI salon,
1:18:38 um
1:18:40 Leah's got her midjourney jam. If you
1:18:43 want to get good at midjourney, if you
1:18:45 want to get good at at expressing
1:18:47 yourself using midjourney, go to Leah's
1:18:51 uh Leah's jams. It's like half an hour.
1:18:53 You do little exercises and then you end
1:18:55 up with a bunch of images at the end.
1:18:56 Tik Tok pin.
1:18:58 Maybe spark a Twitter fight between
1:19:00 Wendy's, BK, and McDonald's. Yeah, we
1:19:02 could do that. We could totally do that.
1:19:04 Um
1:19:06 because you can in Grock, I don't know
1:19:07 if you knew this. Let me Let's see if
1:19:09 they changed it. I don't think they
1:19:12 have.
1:19:14 But if you go to Grock
1:19:17 Grock
1:19:19 and I say, "Make me an image of
1:19:25 Ronald
1:19:28 McDonald.
1:19:35 Spray
1:19:38 painting
1:19:41 Burger King
1:19:44 sucks
1:19:47 on
1:19:48 the Burger King
1:19:54 restaurant
1:19:57 sign
1:20:00 with
1:20:02 McDonald's.
1:20:04 uh
1:20:08 store in the
1:20:12 store across the street.
1:20:16 You all knew that, right? The the way
1:20:17 that
1:20:19 Burger King does their
1:20:22 um location planning
1:20:25 is they just find a location next to a
1:20:28 McDonald's because they know McDonald's
1:20:31 spends all their time. McDonald's is
1:20:32 effectively a real estate company.
1:20:36 Wow, that was fast.
1:20:41 But they it did not do what I wanted it
1:20:44 to do.
1:20:49 But yeah, you could dick around with
1:20:51 this. You could dick around with Grock
1:20:54 and make start images. Let's see. Make
1:20:58 it at night.
1:21:01 the graffiti
1:21:05 more raw and the image wide
1:21:10 ratio. I can't believe how fast that
1:21:11 was.
1:21:19 Ruby Tuesday does the same with Walmart.
1:21:21 Fascinating.
1:21:28 Yeah, I didn't quite understand the
1:21:30 prompt, but that's all right.
1:21:32 You could spend time on it if you wanted
1:21:34 to, if you so desired.
1:21:38 All right,
1:21:39 so
1:21:43 tomorrow's a midjourney jam in the
1:21:44 morning, open AI
1:21:47 announcement at 10 a.m. Pacific time.
1:21:50 So, noon or 1:00 Eastern, 11:00 a.m.
1:21:54 Mountain.
1:21:56 and uh and then we'll be back here
1:21:58 tomorrow night. All right,
1:22:01 so hope you enjoyed
1:22:06 and we will talk to you later. Peace
1:22:08 out.
