16:34 it's a good reminder that that if you
16:37 want to make money with any of these
16:39 tools, how you make money is you solve
16:42 problems. You solve problems using chat
16:46 GPT, then you'll make money.
16:49 Um, but if you're not solving a problem
16:53 that is a big enough problem that
16:54 someone's willing to pay for it, then
16:56 you don't have a big enough idea. Keep

17:10 with a problem with a
17:14 um like a tool that's not working? They
17:17 can't get it to do what they want. Don't
17:20 know where to start with

17:28 term since second grade. Actually, one
17:31 of my favorite little spelunking
17:34 adventures. I was at Penn State and
17:37 there was a big quarry and there was
17:40 apparently some cave in it. So, we went
17:42 to this quarry. We snuck in after
17:44 midnight. We crawled up this cliff face
17:46 and there was a like a steel door and we
17:50 jimmyed it open and bats flew out and
17:53 then we went into this cave like at
17:55 midnight. It was pretty cool. It was
17:57 good. I don't understand
18:00 MCP. I haven't set up MCP but I can tell
18:04 you generally what it is. So, generally
18:07 what MCP is is it's kind of an API for
18:10 APIs, which which will make no sense. If
18:14 you don't know what an API is, then it
18:16 doesn't even make sense at all. Um,
18:20 okay. So, if I've got a website, right?
18:22 Let's say I've got the website eBay.
18:25 That's the that's my little hobby site
18:26 that I started for people to sell their
18:28 [ __ ]
18:30 Normally, if I wanted someone to do
18:34 things with my site, I would create an
18:37 API, an application programming
18:39 interface, and it would basically be,
18:42 you know, you would have special keys
18:44 you need to um apply, you know, assign
18:48 to each user. And then there's API
18:50 documentation and people would take the
18:53 the API documentation and they would
18:55 write into their application. You know,
18:58 maybe you've got like a an eBay value
19:01 checker website and you're going to pull
19:03 information from eBay if they allow that
19:06 in their API and you're going to pull it
19:08 in and you write code to be able to talk
19:11 to eBay.
19:13 What MCP does is it basically creates a
19:16 standard where anyone who's got a site
19:19 like eBay can basically create what's
19:21 called an MCP server that says here are
19:24 all the functions that I'm making
19:25 available just like you would make them
19:27 available with an API but you're making
19:29 them available in this MCP um
19:33 protocol that claude initially that
19:37 anthropic are the ones that made it and
19:40 now um OpenAI is supporting ing it and
19:43 it it looks like it's got a good chance
19:45 of of becoming an industry standard. But
19:48 once that MCP server is up and running,
19:51 I can now just point to it, you know,
19:54 from my from my large language model.
19:57 And then I could say within my large
19:58 language model, hey, you know, go check
20:00 prices on eBay. And if if I'm connected
20:03 to that um to that MCP to eBay, it would
20:07 know exactly what it's got access to.
20:09 and the large language model can can
20:11 literally just
20:13 use eBay as a tool set um to answer my
20:17 problem, right? So, you could say, "Go
20:20 to eBay and find me prices on this. Go
20:22 to Amazon and find me prices on Chinese
20:24 knockoffs and come back and and give me
20:27 an answer where they're both there." So,
20:29 so does that does that make sense? Is
20:31 that in the neighborhood
20:33 of Quinn for an analogy? I don't know
20:36 quite what that means. Oh. Oh, for MCP
20:38 possibly. Yeah, forl told me about MCP.
20:41 First time had I ever heard of it. MCP
20:44 sounds a lot like edge compute as I
20:46 understand
20:46 it. Well, it's not so much edge compute.
20:49 I mean, edge compute is kind of on
20:51 smaller devices. Um, but but it's it's
20:55 like
20:57 um it's basically like being able to do
21:01 API level um calls to services without
21:05 having to write any APIs. You're
21:07 literally just
21:09 connecting you're connecting your large
21:12 language model to an MCP server and then
21:14 it's got access to all of what it can do
21:16 and it it basically
21:18 understands what functions are possible
21:22 through that through that
21:24 server. Um using co-pilot at work
21:28 created an agent for a small job aid
21:30 document to test. did great for the
21:33 first five questions, then blatantly
21:35 lied on the sixth. Yeah,
21:38 we're I think we're very much in a um
21:43 who's who said that? Valerie Cox. I
21:46 think we're we're in a very weird phase
21:49 of AI right now where the capabilities
21:52 of the tools have gotten dramatically
21:56 better and the hallucinations have not
21:59 really improved all that much. Like the
22:02 hallucinations are still really bad. So,
22:06 um that's gonna that's gonna I think
22:08 that's going to slow some things down.

24:10 nice thing that that Claude has. But the
24:12 the issue I have with creative writing
24:15 is more around
24:18 um it either gets lazy and you ask it
24:22 for a big detailed outline and it gives
24:23 you a shitty short
24:25 outline or it just gives you like cliche
24:30 kind of [ __ ] So, I don't know.

26:59 worse it got. And so, I have an idea for

27:24 today I saw I saw a post on X that said
27:28 use 03 because 03 is the multi-step
27:31 reasoning engine,

27:36 able to make images. And so I thought

27:40 is pick a this is just like a midjourney
27:44 style reference image that was kind of
27:47 cool. And so I said I want you to write
27:49 a children's book about a kid playing
27:51 hideand seek and finding all this
27:53 remarkable
27:54 stuff and then in the end says they
27:56 didn't find anything but then maybe a
27:58 grandpa reveals all the cool things that
28:00 they find that they ignored were the
28:02 real
28:03 goal attached as a visual style. The
28:07 main character should remain consistent.
28:10 The style should too, right? And so here
28:14 it made a cool thing with the little
28:15 girl in the astronaut's outfit, which is
28:17 kind of cool. It said story and pictures
28:20 by Quinn AI and Kyle Shannon. I'm like,
28:22 "Oh, that's kind of cute." And then
28:25 there she is. She's pretty consistent.
28:27 This is all good. Except the story was
28:30 kind of crappy and it kind of ended kind
28:32 of crappy and then it made this sort of
28:34 shitty last page.
28:37 And then I said, "Well, like write the
28:39 scenes first." And then it did that and
28:42 I gave it a new style. And then it tried
28:45 that. And so here she is. She's wearing
28:48 a blue shirt. Now she's wearing a red
28:51 dress. Now she's wearing a white dress.
28:54 Now she's got a helmet on and it's a
28:56 blue
28:57 dress. So that was kind of a mess. So
29:00 then I said, "Write it out again and
29:03 keep it consistent." And I gave it a new
29:04 style and I'm like, "Okay, this is
29:06 looking fun. Liking
29:09 this. Ready or not, here I come." So now
29:12 she goes from dark long hair to being a
29:16 boy, I think, to being sort of a boy or
29:20 a I don't know, a red head with a yellow
29:22 shirt. Like not not anywhere in the same
29:29 neighborhood. You're in 03.

29:35 But I also have an idea for what to do
29:37 here. So, we're going to try

31:22 as nothing. In the end, the twist is
31:25 that the person she was looking

31:34 along. tying to the theme of enjoying

36:34 bonkers is we get to experiment with

36:52 each page as opposed to just relying on
