8. 1:35lately because I'm you know sociopath and uh rather than Sim Racing for two or three hours a night I've been going live
9. 1:44for two or three hours a night talking about Ai and we we have fun hey Tobias what's shaking we have fun here uh I
10. 1:52like to cuss a lot so if you don't like cussing I wouldn't stay um I get some Army I get a little smart
11. 1:58assy if you're gonna troll me at least be creative uh if you can dial in your trolls to be somewhere between a compliment and a put
12. 2:05down those are the best ones those are the those are the ones that make me laugh um I'm an entrepreneur I'm the founder
13. 2:12and CEO of a company called storybine hello Stacy what's shaking hey I vampire I know yeah for anyone on the East
14. 2:21coaster certainly Europe I guess Europe is on the verge of waking up at this point um there's a lot going on if you've been
15. 2:29here before you'll notice my little wall oh URLs has grown um it's uh there's a lot happening so I'll talk about all that in a second um
16. 2:43I've started 12 or 15 companies in my day I was a was a an entrepreneur in the early days of the World Wide Web I started one
17. 2:55of the first digital agencies company called agency.com and was Chief creative officer there and so I am I love being like right right as a
18. 3:06technology goes from you know the Geeks territory to the rest of us territory um that's when I like jumping on board
19. 3:13and so this generative AI stuff November 30th 2022 that was when chat gbt launched in my opinion that marks the inflection point from
20. 3:24it was for the Geeks before it's for the rest of us now and the Geeks still get to play don't get me wrong
21. 3:32um but holy crap this stuff is coming fast and it's coming in a deeply profound way so that's what this channel
22. 3:39is about if you have questions about AI pop them in the questions below let me explain all these Earls there we go um
23. 3:56Okay so if you're new to this generative AI stuff if you've not played with chat GPT if you if you haven't heard of chat gbt
24. 4:06that's okay a lot of people haven't go to that top URL chat.openai.com you can ignore these other pile down here the four below it right
25. 4:16now I'll talk about those in a second but go to chat.openai.com go there and and start playing with it until you've
26. 4:24had what I call a Kevin McAllister moment this moment from Home Alone uh and when you have that moment that's
27. 4:31when your Journey Begins and just think of it as an adventure and if you start to feel things like existential dread and like holy crap is
28. 4:40this thing going to take my job and is this better at doing what I do than I am then you're doing it right
29. 4:48and uh if if you have a simultaneous feeling of oh my God this is the most exciting thing I've ever seen and holy crap I'm terrified
30. 4:57that's the appropriate feeling um Okay so for the past I don't know month month and a half I've I've only had three
31. 5:06sites here chat GPT Bing and Poe I've added claude.ai and bard.google.com for those of you that have been here before
32. 5:15you know that the reason I didn't have Bard on this list before is because it sucked they released a new version of it
33. 5:21today or yesterday I don't know when but it's good now it's like like it's good it's just it's it's not the
34. 5:28same it's Google but it's actually got good interface it's oh it'll analyze images uh it does coding really well it
35. 5:36does tables really well some of the language stuff I played with was pretty solid claude.ai that is anthropics Claude 2 model which
36. 5:46is their competitor to gpt4 it's got a hundred thousand token context window which basically means somewhere between 50 and 75 000 words
37. 5:56someone told me today they they tried uploading uh 75 000 words and it broke but it didn't break it 50 so they might
38. 6:03have a different how they deal with tokens might be different but it's a lot you could you know the Great Gatsby was
39. 6:1050 000 words so you can upload an entire novel to that thing and interact with it bing.com is Microsoft's version of gpt4
40. 6:18it's you can generate images there and then poe.com added the ability to upload files so all five of these right now are
41. 6:27viable options for this large language model stuff Claude is free gpt4 here cost you 20 bucks a month now up here
42. 6:39chat.openai.com you get access to this thing called code interpreter which is [ __ ] mind blowing However the fact
43. 6:48that you can now upload files to Claude and to Bard and to Poe you can do a fair amount of what uh code
44. 6:57interpreters doing but code interpreters still leagues above what these other things are doing with files but holy crap what a day then
45. 7:08oh wait so let me let me talk about two other things so prompts.chat is um just a it's like a it's a Google doc
46. 7:17basically and it will teach you if you haven't played with chat GPT or any of these tools it will teach you about
47. 7:23prompting and what how the prompting Works how these large language models work and it also gives you a whole list
48. 7:29of examples of personas that you can tell these things to act like like act like an accountant act like a script
49. 7:37supervisor during the writer's strike it's probably a little insensitive but but yeah but you know writer's gonna
50. 7:45write uh but but you'll you'll really get a good sense of how deep and Powerful these tools are and that they're Way Beyond a Google search
51. 7:55um they're profoundly beyond that and then futurepedia.io that's just a big old list of uh uh whatever you call it uh AI tools
52. 8:04because I can't keep up with them anymore I'm just just trying to keep up with where you can actually go start
53. 8:09playing with these things like all five of these are viable options right now and I and I haven't mentioned pi and I
54. 8:16haven't mentioned Elon musk's x dot AI which there's something coming for that tomorrow from that tomorrow so anyway if
55. 8:24you have questions about AI pop them in the comments below uh you can ask the people that are here I really do try to
56. 8:30answer them all I will get behind uh and it will seem like I'm not answering them and people are like I don't think he's
57. 8:36really live I think he's the bot I think this is just a pre-recorded situation people get very high and mighty in here
58. 8:45with theories about whether I'm live or not but if I weren't live could I do this no okay
59. 9:02[Music] why is it called chat GPT well because it's kind of a chat bot I hate so I think chat gbt is a bad name
60. 9:16but everyone knows it now so tough I think we're stuck with it I think it's going to be like Xerox or just that's
61. 9:22what people call these things um AI chat Bots for the past decade have been the bane of my existence because
62. 9:30everyone's like oh chat Bots are gonna be so big and chat Bots are exciting and chat Bots were just like phone voicemail
63. 9:38trees that you typed into because I I don't know what it is about I have a particular talent for the minute I'm typing into a pre-programmed
64. 9:49tree I I break it and it's like I don't know how to answer you so chat Bots were a [ __ ] disaster they were they were
65. 9:57incredibly labor intensive to create you know they basically had to anticipate all of the scenarios and write all of the copy for all of the
66. 10:05scenarios they were incredibly um intensive to write now with chat GPT you can actually have those conversations so I think that's why they
67. 10:14called it that the GPT part is generative pre-trained Transformer Transformers the technology that Google
68. 10:21invented that everyone else is using to do all this remarkable [ __ ] pre-trained means it's pre-trained in this in the
69. 10:27case of these things on essentially all of the internet all of the public internet and generative means it's
70. 10:33generating stuff so I wish it had a better name but it doesn't what are your thoughts on the news agency like
71. 10:39Associated Press partnering with the open AI so I've got like 14 tabs on my browser just as people are talking about
72. 10:47this that's a huge [ __ ] deal so so if you so if you don't know uh open Ai and the Associated Press announced a
73. 10:56partnership today I think it's a huge deal open AI removed Chachi PT's connection to the internet five days ago now six days ago and they
74. 11:09haven't put it back and they removed it because uh it was pulling content from behind paywalls so it was it was effectively publisher
75. 11:21publishing um uh you know content that should be paid for for free so they pulled it down and then today they announced a deal
76. 11:34with the AP I would not be at all surprised if they announced a deal with time Inc and probably some other big
77. 11:40Publishers my my suspicion here is that um this is total speculation my suspicion is Microsoft is running interference with that
78. 11:53and they're saying that they're basically saying to open AI hey we love your technology we're transforming our
79. 11:59company around it but you know let's not go ahead and piss off Microsoft's biggest clients so why don't we start
80. 12:06cutting some deals with our major clients and major Publishers uh who have a vested interest in this so my my
81. 12:14instinct is this AP deal is the first of many um I think companies that cut these kind of content deals are going to be in a cat
82. 12:26bird seat right because if chat GPT is the place where you can go chat GPT official AP stories then lots of people
83. 12:35are going to trust that lots of people are going to use that so I think it's absolutely fascinating um if you go look at the history of the
84. 12:43Edison cylindrical record player and the flat one Edison's was technologically Superior but he didn't cut content deals the flat
85. 12:54one technologically inferior but he cut content deals with like the most famous opera singers of the day and that's why
86. 13:01we have flat record players rather than cylindrical ones probably it was also probably more convenient but whatever
87. 13:08um so content's really important so I think this is a huge huge deal yeah that's one of the many things like just
88. 13:14the news today and and the fact that we went from essentially two major players and kind of a third one [ __ ] around where you kind of had
89. 13:23Claude models at poe.com but you had to go to Poe which didn't make any sense now the fact that they rolled that out
90. 13:29and then Bard all of a sudden just doesn't suck today something whoa good Lord I checked out Bard when they
91. 13:38announced it it's greatly improved I know right Jenna it's like like I mean every time I went to use Bard before
92. 13:45where they're like there's a new version of Bart I'm like awesome what's oh that's a piece of stinky [ __ ] and uh not today not today so
93. 13:57I don't I don't I can't I say I can't keep up with this [ __ ] anymore all right are people just too disconnected with themselves they need
94. 14:08an AI to talk to well wait carp carpetrum carpetrum carp carpe diem I don't know whatever your name is um
95. 14:23no so so these are not just chat Bots like you if you haven't played with one go there now go to go to prompts.chat
96. 14:33and read about what prompting is and and how these things work and go to go to chatgpt or Claude or bard.google.com go
97. 14:41to any of them and start start playing with them this is not just like hey Fred how you doing oh I'm great Kyle how are you boy
98. 14:49you know I'm really lonely but now with my fake chat bottom even better it's not that I mean there's going to be digital
99. 14:58companionship fueled by these things but these things write screenplays these things which is one of the reasons The
100. 15:05Writer's Guild is striking right now these things code these things write marketing plans business plans marketing
101. 15:13copy they're they are remarkable they are remarkably powerful tools and um so so I would strongly encourage you to
102. 15:24go start playing with them start to get educated about what they are and what they make possible and and once you
103. 15:29start to get your head around it take the whatever you're good at and have it start doing that for you or being an
104. 15:37assistant for you to do the kind of stuff you know about and that's when your mind will probably go and that's the moment when the adventure
105. 15:47begins where you're like holy [ __ ] really is this gonna take my what do I how do I I've been doing this for 30 years what do I do now
106. 16:03that's what we're all having to deal with all right in the time you were gone Bard planned my anniversary trip with great
107. 16:10extras impressed that's awesome Silver Fox oh my God that's hilarious yeah so I I think I I mean this is this is really
108. 16:22really fascinating stuff because you know chat gpt's been in a cat bird seat for for seven months now December to July and
109. 16:35while there were other things out there there they just seemed on the edge and then all of a sudden there were a couple
110. 16:41of chinks in the armor right there there were you know they pulled back browsed with Bing they pulled back the
111. 16:48connection to the internet there was another lawsuit that was announced um and then um inflection comes out
112. 16:59which is that's Pi dot AI if you want to go play with the inflection version of these things and that's Reed Hoffman who's the
113. 17:06founder of LinkedIn and and the guy I forget his name who was one of the founders of deepmind created inflection
114. 17:12but Microsoft also invested big into inflection so so Microsoft not only is invested into open AI but they're
115. 17:21invested into inflection so all of a sudden it's like oh you know maybe it's not such an exclusive deal you know
116. 17:27maybe they're not so hitched at the hip and Microsoft's hedging its bets so it's just like it's just amazing like the the I feel
117. 17:35like we're in the middle of a power swing right now where we're gonna find out a month or two from now like this list
118. 17:44in my opinion probably goes back to three I've only had three on there now I've got five my gut tells me this list goes to six or seven
119. 17:54and and it's just boiling for a while and then it'll kind of you know it'll sort of drop back to a top three but we'll see that's amazing

126. 19:25there's a really slick uh use case that Professor Sonia put in there upload something that has a bunch of dates in
127. 19:31it say change the dates to this year starting on whatever out the cub that's super cool moving so fast it's
128. 19:39moving so fast I'm an information hoarder and love chat GPT I'm addicted that's that's so I'm I'm a total data
129. 19:47hoarder I've got somewhere here can I have it nearby oh yeah right back here I've got just just a suitcase full of
130. 19:56hard drives and I'm never gonna throw them out will I ever plug them back in I don't know with these tools now we're going to
131. 20:03be able to take all the data we've ever hoarded and just dump it into the data bucket and start interacting with it
132. 20:11I took a uh I took a screenplay I wrote years ago and I had it in in PDF on on my hard drive and I uploaded it to Claude today
133. 20:23and I just uploaded the screenplay and then said um write a log line a synopsis and a character sheet and it
134. 20:33just went and then it was perfect it's like it's just amazing like it's just I they act as an assistant yeah that's
135. 20:44that's a really good point uh LR Patrick it's um a good way to think about these tools someone was asking before like are they
136. 20:52chat Bots are they virtual companions what what it's more like what what these are very much like is like you've got an
137. 20:59idiot savant as your personal intern or your personal assistant or like a creative collaborator the idiot part is
138. 21:06it's completely dumb it'll just do whatever you tell it and if you give it shitty instructions it'll give you
139. 21:12shitty results right like a new intern that doesn't know your business or doesn't know who you are so you got to tell it what to do you're
140. 21:19like okay intern Now You're Gonna Act Like A Stanford mathematics professor and it's like okay and we're gonna I'm gonna put a formula
141. 21:28in front of you and you're gonna figure it out for me okay we'll figure it out for you um so it's very much like that
142. 21:37and and I think I think where these things go is toward being assistance for us so I think that's actually where they're headed
143. 21:47where we don't have to like right now you have to do this thing called prompt engineering and and I think one of the
144. 21:52things that you're going to start to experience with these tools especially is these guys start to compete is
145. 21:58they're going to make it easier and easier and easier for people to put in a minimum amount of input for a maximum amount of output
146. 22:06like for example these things are are very shortly going to start to remember who we are what our preferences are and and probably even
147. 22:16the history of all of our conversations so that we can refer to conversations we had two months ago uh is is likely where these things are
148. 22:26going and probably pretty quickly what's the best way to generate generate t-shirt graphics um you just need to start playing around with um
149. 22:38with your prompting and and using things like um like graphic illustrations flat Graphics things like that let me show you some
150. 22:53um so go to openart.ai prompt book and
151. 23:08you'll see this thing here it's the stable diffusion prompt book but you can use this for mid-journey you can use it
152. 23:13for stable diffusion you can use it for Adobe Firefly this is really just more a primer um and it will this document is the best
153. 23:24thing that I've seen like this this thing came out I don't know probably I don't know when it came out but I
154. 23:29discovered it kind of the end of 2022 and I still haven't really seen anything as clear as this so it's like a 96 page
155. 23:37PowerPoint presentation that just talks about these image generation tools it talks about prompt engineering defines it you
156. 23:46know gives you a whole bunch of things to do here's an intro here's how it works here's prompt formats so like do
157. 23:54you want a photo or painting what's the subject you want special lighting do you want an environment do you want a color
158. 23:59scheme Point of View background is there a specific style so this for you if you're talking about doing uh T-shirt
159. 24:06graphics you want you know simple graphic flat colors you can describe that so as I go through here there's modifiers things like it
160. 24:18understands photographic terms like so there's a table of a bunch of different photographic terms like you know tilt
161. 24:23shift and Polaroid and long exposure and color splash and GoPro it understands lighting it understands art mediums so chalk graffiti
162. 24:34watercolors clay sculptures it understands different artists and you know the styles that they paint in um mixed media um
163. 24:48so here you get into illustration right so the different illustration types and so these start to be things like like there was one
164. 24:58this one here you know comic book style you know starts to look a little t-shirty and just you know so start
165. 25:06learning all of these different terms that that that give you those examples if you're using mid journey and I would
166. 25:13say I would suggest mid-journey um go to the mid-journey Discord that's where you have to make the images anyway
167. 25:21and there's prompt libraries in there and there's all sorts of people in there I would imagine that there are you know
168. 25:28sub communities within the mid Journey server that that are doing t-shirts and can probably help you with that

172. 26:16got any predictions or thoughts regarding the ftc's investigation into open AI That's yet another news story that dropped tonight
173. 26:25um not yet like it's just they've just announced an investigation I listen I when someone like open AI pulls a major
174. 26:37feature like browse with Bing something that's co-branded with Microsoft and they pull it there's there's some [ __ ] boiling behind
175. 26:44the scenes that that we're not privy to there's some big players tossing around big lawyer money saying we're gonna
176. 26:54[ __ ] some [ __ ] up and so um so it doesn't surprise me at all that the FC FTC is investigating them um I think what
177. 27:05what we're going to see for we're kind of entering we're we're entering but what I assumed we would see right about now
178. 27:15um we're entering a kind of panic phase about Ai and I think what's if you listen to The Screen Actors Guild
179. 27:26um the speeches from them starting their strike today um one of the big things that they talked about was
180. 27:36the studios came back and they said okay they want anyone who's an extra in a movie background actors ones without lines
181. 27:44they want to be able to pay them for one day Rate One Flat day rate and then use their likeness in perpetuity for any
182. 27:52project in the future never have to tell them never have to pay them again um so that's a fundamental existential threat
183. 28:04to that business model so I think what what you're going to start to see in in all sorts of businesses from Consulting
184. 28:13to advertising agencies to creative arts to and and everything in between and everything on the outside of that
185. 28:22is companies are going to start realizing holy [ __ ] our business model might not exist in a year or two
186. 28:32and one of the reactions to existential threats is defensiveness right sue them shut it down make them turn it off so so
187. 28:44I think this is very powerful players um exercising their their United States granted rights to sue the [ __ ] bejesus out of everyone
188. 28:59um as as ways to hedge against the future they they probably know is coming um I think that open AI is going to be in
189. 29:14good shape to survive it because they've got Microsoft as a partner right this is this is a major player in the economy
190. 29:21you know they've got major connections they've got major lobbyists so so what I suspect will happen is open AI will start cutting
191. 29:30big licensing deals with big Publishers and pay them some amount of the profits um and then at some point they'll just
192. 29:37cut it off and say if you're below that line you can come sue us but we've cut all of our big deals so that's what I I
193. 29:43feel like is going on but I that's one thousand percent speculation is there a list of the best AI sites
194. 29:52yeah futurepedia.io well it's so it's not the best so my list of sites right here is this is if you want to get started with
195. 30:02um generative AI just start with chat GPT or or any of these other four um these are all viable options to to
196. 30:13really start to get your head around what's possible futurepedia.io is a list of just like all the AI tools that are out there
197. 30:21there's probably four thousand at this point they're like 3 700 at the beginning of the week um they're they're adding to it like an
198. 30:30insane amount of tools a day um there are some um like top 10 kind of kind of services and content sites I don't
199. 30:41really follow them all but um I would just go there and go for the top rated ones the ones that have been there the
200. 30:47longest the ones that you know there's gonna be a lot of stuff there that's just crap but you know you'll be able to find some stuff there
201. 30:54what's the criteria for your list there those are just the ones you're discussing on live so so my criteria is
202. 31:01it used to be just three of them and it was really just three different ways to play with chat chat gbt
203. 31:07um because the the the top one and Bing and Poe all have gpt4 in them but you know Bing is free but it's not really as
204. 31:18good Poe has a bunch of other things like Claude built into it and it's got Bots which are really interesting and
205. 31:24then open AI is the inventor of chat GPT so it's like it's just the best right now and then literally in the past uh like day and a half
206. 31:35cloud.ai launched and it's good it's really good it's like close to chat gpt4 and it's the site's good the interface
207. 31:44is good and then Bard which was horrible for a long long time now six months all of a sudden they relaunched
208. 31:53bard.google.com and it's good it's really good it's like so all of a sudden there are now major competitors to chat
209. 32:02gbt so that's why this list is here prompts.chat is just a place to teach yourself prompting and then future PD is
210. 32:08just a big long list of tools so so that's all I this is just here as if you're wondering where to get started
211. 32:14it's why I put these here I'm not affiliated with any of them I don't give a [ __ ] if you use them I don't give a
212. 32:20[ __ ] if you buy subscriptions um at some point someone some of them should knock on my door and go hey you
213. 32:26talk about us a lot that's well here's a Starbucks gift card but they haven't done that yet qualifications I don't need those
214. 32:33thinking qualifications I know nothing I know nothing about AI you stinky people nothing is AI going to make our brains more lazy
215. 32:47after a while you know Rain Ninja by the way good name good name uh good Avatar um I don't think so I think it goes the
216. 32:57opposite direction I've been compulsively obsessed with generative AI since probably about this time last year it started
217. 33:07with a project called pixelmind then stable diffusion then chechi BT came out in November so I've been in this I have
218. 33:15never in my life been more creatively alive and inspired and activated and and it what and the reason is this
219. 33:26it's there's there's a counter-intuitive thing that happens with these so what they do and what people talk about
220. 33:34them doing is oh it wrote the paper right so the human's just a lazy [ __ ] and the Machine wrote the paper
221. 33:43it's it's not really how it works a human being said I have a thing I want to write and I want you to write it and
222. 33:51then lazy human beings just hand off that piece of paper but all the creatives that I know that are using these tools are using them
223. 34:00more like a collaborative tool so what I'm finding is that rather than having writer's block or rather than having to
224. 34:06spend two hours getting to a first draft I can get to a first draft in about 30 seconds that's about 80 percent of what
225. 34:14I want and as you get better at prompting like it when I first started working with this stuff I was getting
226. 34:20things that were consistently at sixty percent of what I wanted and it was really frustrating and it took me a
227. 34:24while and as you get better at prompting you're like oh I have an idea for something and you you figure out okay I
228. 34:31gotta write these four or five elements into the prompt and it's weird because you think like I'm I'm writing as much copy into the
229. 34:38prompt is what I'm going to get out of it but but you sort of you start to figure it out and then you get it right and what comes
230. 34:45out is like 80 85 90 of what you want and then you just go in and tweak it and edit it so what it's doing for me is
231. 34:55you know how in any given day you've got some amount of hours of creative output and then the brain just shuts down and
232. 35:04for me it's probably somewhere between four and six if I'm particularly hyper focused on something I can go longer but
233. 35:11I've generally got like four to six hours a day where I can I can crank out some [ __ ] a lot of days it's a lot lower
234. 35:19before when I would work I might spend three and a half of the four hours I had for that day just getting to the starting line
235. 35:29and what's happening now is I get to the starting line in 10 or 15 minutes and then I have like the rest of those four hours
236. 35:37to like refine it or come up with new ideas so so I'm finding that in the space of the time I would have had
237. 35:44gotten one idea to a decent level of completion I've now got two or three things completed and like 10 10 new
238. 35:52things started so so it's completely transforming my relationship with writer's block and with creative block
239. 36:02and doing block you know as an Adder it might you know I have zero executive function I have a block of cheese for my frontal lobe
240. 36:10um and so it's kind of taking over a lot of that function and it's it's like a [ __ ] magic trick it's amazing so so
241. 36:17no I think it goes the other way I think we get more creative more self-expressed more expert but we're still the pilot it's the co-pilot
242. 36:29so we still get to drive the thing can other people get your files you uploaded which files which files that I upload

283. 42:50into a joke the worst one was Bing uh and then the rest were just bad and and then some were really disturbing like the one joke was um
284. 43:00because because the premise of the joke was write a joke about how avocados go from being unripe to rotten you know in
285. 43:08this really short window or whatever it was and and like I I which one was it was it Claude I don't know I think it was cloth no it
286. 43:19was clutter Sage I think it was Claude And it said um avocados are are just like children they start out rock hard and I was like no no
287. 43:29it's like it's like it sort of had the right setup and the right punch line but the middle of it was just wrong and
288. 43:37disturbing and like weird and like it was just bizarre um but Chachi BT actually wrote a pretty good joke but yeah that's that's

393. 1:01:13executing all that python code within just for your chat instance and then it wipes it because it wipes it like 10

414. 1:04:08changed the nature of how these tools work and the scale of data that you can train them on so when deepmind created Alpha fold
415. 1:04:16and they generated 400 000 you know protein models in what was it like three days or a week or some ridiculously
416. 1:04:25short amount of time and I think it I think historically it would take you like two weeks to do one and they did
417. 1:04:30like 400 000 of them and they you know they were largely correct um that's the new stuff and so so I would imagine that that um
418. 1:04:42they're using them in all sorts of ways what what where we're now starting to hear our clients the pharmaceutical companies
419. 1:04:49talk about this stuff is in everyday operations in marketing in particular they spend a tremendous amount of money
420. 1:04:57on marketing with these big agencies um so so they're trying to figure out how can we do this they're trying to figure out
421. 1:05:06um well rather than having to do a photo shoot could I just do personas and then create images that look like people
422. 1:05:13right and this is this is where things like um you know existential threats to things like you know photography start
423. 1:05:22to show up where if an internal group at a Pharma company can just generate Persona images that look like
424. 1:05:28photographs they don't need to hire that photographer to go do that photo shoot to have you know those pictures of
425. 1:05:36fake patients you know who who are fake patients anyway like the Pharma company doesn't really care they just want
426. 1:05:42something that's believable for that particular Persona so they can talk about a concept or or a particular piece of research um
427. 1:05:51so yeah but I you know I I would assume in their medical divisions they're using it in all sorts of profound ways I think

522. 1:20:36plus the word the and it's going to run a new piece of math and say the next most logical word after the is Pony and
523. 1:20:43it'll write Pony so when you see it right three or four paragraphs for you in you know two seconds it's doing it word by word
524. 1:20:52what's remarkable about what it does is it looks like it's sentient right it looks like it understands what the [ __ ]
525. 1:20:59it's talking about but it literally has no concept of what it just wrote like all it knows it like it's it's literally
526. 1:21:06a calculator putting mathematical probabilities that are tied to a string of letters that are the word all in a row um
527. 1:21:16there will be new versions of this where it's conscious of what it said but they're not right now so what ends up
528. 1:21:23happening is if you just tell it to give you a fact it'll give you a fact and that fact may or may not be a fact so

547. 1:24:15um let's just put that to the side for a second anyway we're great at this AI stuff too I don't know if you knew that
548. 1:24:20but we've got uh engineers and scientists and my goodness we there's so much AI here you probably don't even know so that was going on
549. 1:24:29and they took their llama they're they're weaker llama models they're seven billion billion and they're 13
550. 1:24:35billion parameter llama models and they gave them to the developer community and said here you can use these
551. 1:24:42um for for experimental purposes for non-commercial purposes and they gave them what's called the weights so they basically gave them the
552. 1:24:52secret sauce so right now open Ai and Google their models they they have not released the actual core underlying
553. 1:25:00model that runs it so that you know the Geeks can get in there and figure out how they did what they did meta did
554. 1:25:07but they're not to be used for commercial purposes so the open source Community has been building all sorts of
555. 1:25:16models on top of them but you can't really use them for commercial purposes so what Zuckerberg said today is that
556. 1:25:24they've got a 30 or 35 billion model or 65 I don't know they've got they've got some decent size I think it's 30 30 billion parameter model
557. 1:25:33that they claim is better performing than GPT 3.5 and rather than license it or launch their own chat gbt he says he
558. 1:25:44thinks they're just going to put it out into the world with a free commercial license so what it means is you've got
559. 1:25:49the core underlying model you can do anything you want with it you can build anything you want on it you don't have
560. 1:25:55to put any safety guard rails on it you you can do anything and you can use it commercially so it means me as an open
561. 1:26:03source developer could take that model you know build a whole company like chat GPT around it and I could say hey we're going to do the
562. 1:26:13um if they're going to be safe with AI I'm gonna I'm gonna give you a chat GPT where you can do all the evil stuff in
563. 1:26:19the world and I'm going to build a whole company around that you could do that with that and you could monetize it and
564. 1:26:24it and that would not violate their terms of service so that's that's the the thing where the nature of the license um
565. 1:26:33is is the thing that's different where for research only or for commercial purposes and and that's and it's a huge deal because
566. 1:26:42the open source Community is taking these weaker models and using some really creative techniques using gpt4
567. 1:26:51with like a hundred bucks in compute costs they're they're fine-tuning these things to be as good as GPT 3.5 so it's
568. 1:26:59just it's nuts it's just nuts like I like the if if meta does that the speed of innovation is going to get even more insane

641. 1:38:48what I've seen at being in creative mode so there's three modes creative balanced and precise in creative mode it's not
642. 1:38:57bad but it's it's slightly too creative claude.ai is good that's um Claude 2 which is the gpt4 competitor
643. 1:39:07from anthropic which is a bunch of X openai people um pose got Sage but Poe has a bunch of bots that could be interesting I'm sure
644. 1:39:17there's a bunch of writing bots in there and then bard.google the.com has historically been laughably bad but
645. 1:39:24all of a sudden today doesn't suck so I feel like you know do some experimenting the nice thing about Poe is there's six different
646. 1:39:33models there you can compare and contrast so what I would do is I would take if you've got a good solid prompt
647. 1:39:38that that you've written I would just go down the line and and start uh comparing and contrasting um yeah something something is
648. 1:39:48definitely going on at open AI where I I think this is I think this is legal woes I I think I think they're cutting deals
649. 1:39:56and they're trying to figure out how to not get their asses suit out of business um and so so so they're probably
650. 1:40:04fine-tuning the algorithms to be less generous with the um inspiration from copywritten material

652. 1:40:31releasing that model the downside of having the fine-tuning of an open AI or a Google bard or an anthropic behind the firewall

686. 1:46:14don't use an actual artist name is is a way to do it if you want if you're more conservative don't use mid-journey use Adobe Firefly
687. 1:46:23and generative fill within Photoshop because they're both good they're not as good as mid-journey but they're different and all of the Adobe
