8:10 pushing back against a bill being heard
8:12 in the state senate tomorrow it all
8:13 revolves around artificial intelligence
8:16 the bill would require AI developers to
8:18 follow a long list of precautions
8:20 including having them disclose when
8:21 they're using quote high-risk systems
8:24 describe the data used to train the AI
8:26 and identify whenever something is
8:28 artificially generated or manipulated
8:30 some entrepreneurs say the rules would
8:32 be difficult to follow due to how
8:33 quickly the technology is changing
8:35 adding it'll hurt Colorado businesses
8:37 more than help them the technology is
8:40 literally changing on a weekly basis
8:42 just like the early days of the
8:43 worldwide web I also know from
8:44 experience how stifling a bill like this
8:46 would have been in the mid 90s and I
8:49 know that overregulation AI right now is
8:51 going to put Colorado businesses at a
8:53 significant
8:55 disadvantage Business Leaders say the
8:57 understanding and when they understand
8:58 where the measure comes from and they do
9:00 support AI regulations but they say the
9:02 regulations should instead look at how
9:04 the technology is being used adding that
9:06 there should be a deeper dive into the
9:07 legal
9:08 ramification yeah yeah man don't
9:12 regulate the technology regulate how
9:14 it's being used man yeah man
